Some "after the revolution" dbh headcanons

Hey yall! it's me and it has been like million years since I have written anything on here, but yea here I am! I will start writing headcanons and stuff like that again to keep my english at least decent, since im not at school atm. Anyways enough yapping, hope that u will enjoy! <3

Markus:

After the revolution he became very known (obviously) and people either really like him or really don't, so he has to be aware his surroundings. For example once a guy tried to drive over him on purpose with a car when he was crossing the road. He understands that people still have some issues with androids, but the fact that there are still people that want to hurt androids... it just makes him very sad and angry.

Because of that incident for example Markus preferes indoors. He can paint etc. and that makes him happy. He also hangs out with his Jericho friends and Connor and Kara. Thats enough for him.

But on the other side he has had good interactions and stuff like that with humans. Once a human lady came up to him and thanked him for starting the revolution. Markus asked her cuoriously asked her why she was so thankful the lady said that she had a little android boy. She loved him more than anything and she and her android son were so so scared once humans started to destroy androids but because of his peacful mindsett, they can still be together.

That interraction makes him feel warm and happy.

Connor:

After the revolution Connor became more aware of his feelings.

He had a lot to learn. For instance anxiety, Connor hates anxiety. He became very anxious about his current life after the revolution. Yes he still investigates android cases with Hank, but he has so much more free time etc.

Like he can do anything, but its hard to decide what. He can coock for Hank, he can clean his place, go for a walk with Sumo.. but what does he actually want to do?

He is afraid of the future too. Hank will die, Sumo will die.. whats the purpose of anything after that?

Once he gets these kind of thoughts Hank notices them imedieatly. He is not good with these kind of things but he still manages to get Connor more relaxed.

Hank knows that when he is dead Connor will be absolutely broken. He does these future plan things with Connor when he is not anxious. Connor has thought that he could stay with Kara, Luther and Alice or he could move with Markus and the gang. It's not the end of the world.

But still, he will miss Hank so so much.

Kara:

After the revolution Kara has more time for herself, so she picked a new hobby for herself: knitting

She just knits and knits. Sweaters? Kara can do it! socks? Yes! Scarfs? Wait a sec!

Alice has so many sweaters that Kara has made for her. Like she has a sweater in every color.

Alice loves them and wears them with pride!

Kara does sweaters, socks etc. to Luther as well! She just has to have a lot of yarn when she knits something form him, because of his size.

Like Alice, Luther is so thankful of every piece of clothing that kara makes.

Kara knits socks to little human children and gives them for free to those in need

Alice and Luther often remind Kara to do also something for herself, but she is bad at remembering herself.

She is just glad to do something that makes herself and others happy

cyberlife putting magnets in connors feet is canon to me now. i left the fandom some time ago, now im back, so i can enjoy all the fanworks that came out while my brainrot was dormant. but im so shocked at how widespread the notion that hankcon is problematic now is. it was the main ship a couple of years ago? and now the main tag is flooded with negativity. and idk if my claims hold any water, but i feel like the dynamics that were quite commonly used for hank x connor now are used for reed900? when did this fandom decide that two characters which 1) appear rarely and only to be an asshole and 2) doesn't even have any lines are a better ship than those two bastards who are literally insane about each other? (none of their interactions are normal, but its so in character for both of them, i love it) anyway, i hope you didnt have to experience any of said negativity and are doing well, cause i loved your fanfics <3

Honestly I forget that Connor’s magnet feet aren’t canon—how that clumsy-ass android who botched a barrel-roll into a first story window managed to keep his feet planted on a moving train is the biggest plot hole in all of DBH.

Welcome back to the fandom! Sometimes I wish I had been here from the very beginning, because even when I showed up in 2020 it was like this. I remember wandering into the ship tag, naive and desperate for conktent, and finding nothing but “hankcon shippers are perverts” and literal comparisons between a thirty year old man and a six year old boy 🥲 I pretty much avoided tumblr entirely because of it and stayed exclusively on twitter the first couple years! (RIP.) I feel like tumblr has actually gotten better since then? That said, in the four years I’ve been here I’ve somehow managed to avoid any direct hate, probably partially through luck and partially because I’m not afraid to use the block button. It’s never personal, it’s just that I am here for one thing and one thing only and that is old man yaoi. I would also advise staying off of ig and tiktok for fandom content because good god, people are MEAN over there.

As for reed900, the ship doesn’t really do much for me personally, but one thing that I really love about it is that it’s basically fanfiction of fanfiction. Like, fans basically created that ship and even their characters out of next to nothing, and made something so compelling that it’s now the fandom’s most popular ship on ao3! That is so cool! As someone who doesn’t care about the DBH canon like, at all, and is way more into the fans’ creations and creativity, I have a deep appreciation for reed900 shippers even if I don’t subscribe to their newsletter. 

I do agree that it’s very similar to the hankcon dynamic, which, who can blame them? It’s a great dynamic. And I don’t begrudge anyone for not wanting to ship Hank and Connor. But when it comes to people who ship reed900 but actively hate hankcon, those who call hankcon disgusting and cry about having to see it while never seeming to take any actual steps to avoid it? I dunno, I smell ageism in their hearts, and to them I say—old people are hot, and it’s not our fault if you have bad taste in men 😌

damn, thank you library for existing i got all of this done in an hour or so. also yeah all of these are cropped horribly because the lay out was super odd on this page. its fine.

vessel is inspired by a spider because the mask always gave me spidey vibes. i was debating on giving him a little spider butt, then i talked myself out of it because hes flat AF. mind you vessel is slightly furry, you can pet the spider boy.

cyborg/android II with four arms. i was going to add hoses but i like it without more, so he just has valve sockets. now that i look at it again i will definitely draft a bit more to see how i want his teeth.

III is just a skinless version of slender man that can change their length for ease into more human sized spaces. this is also an old sketch.

gavin: couldn't decide between rehab and in my feelings because theyre both just so him (and by that i mean fanon him cuz there really wasnt much to work on) 'in my feelings' because I can just imagine him to all' of the lyrics ('Sobbin' in my cup of coffee 'cause I fell for another loser' and 'Who's doper than this bitch, who's free-er than me' in particular) and rehab is a little looser of a connection, it stems from this story that ive been sorta writing that focuses on gavins relationship with alcohol aswell as his friendship with tina, and I just feel like rehab really captures his reluctance to give up the many different problems he has in the story like drinking, smoking & drugs rk900/nines: i dont really imagine he listens to music but but i kinda associate him with the pre-chorus in 'In my feelings' by LDR with the 'get that cigarette smoke out of my face' and the bridge with 'got me feeling so blue, making no sense at all, gotta leave right now' sooo duet with gavin...? 'shades of cool' (u may have noticed i like lana songs by now!!) also really matches nines IMO, the song is about her own pain and disappointment but but it also centers around this flawed love interest she wants to fix and understand, but ultimately can't, which to me just feels like nines and gavin, atleast in my own hc's (can you guess my fav ship yet) connor: whilst this song (a human's touch) could generally apply to all androids in dbh I connect it most with connor, especially in the second verse; "We were still going strong I never did you wrong Until the new me came along It was just you and me We were such a good team But now I’m alone on the boulevard of broken screens" Listening to this, I can really imagine him talking to Amanda after being introduced to his successor, the RK900 ('the new me') - I also can imagine the boulevard of broken screens being in reference to the graves of his previous bodies and I just think thattt hits yk, + whilst the second verse applies to machine connor more, the craving for human touch (connection in general) feels rather apt as by becoming deviant he has severed ties with Cyberlife, causing him to be pretty alone so yeah kara: I can just imagine her, alice and luther all singing country roads together in a car during the summer and it just warms my heart sm like its just sooo cuteee <3 I can also imagine her being a fan of Adele's music in general, I can't really explain why but she just seems like the type of person to be reaalllyyy into adele (me too) (+ i know age as a concept isnt a thing for androids really but adeles music appeals to a large age range making her music appealing 2 families so maybe im connecting adele n kara because of that) markus: I feel like I don't even need to explain history has its eyes on you... i mean come on.. but ohhh emmm geee!! I can not stress how PERFECT 'as the world caves in' is for markus atleast in my opinion, when I listen to it I can really picture this song over markus either choosing to sacrifice himself in BfD when surrounded, but generally I can just imagine this song over him doing anything really. 'run boy run' also feels like it needs little explanation, just listen to the song/look at the lyrics and youll see the connection north: I don't actually have any meaningful reasons for these songs but I just feel like north would like them but I guess 'breakin' dishes' is the one I thought about most because I can imagine her acting similarly in the same situation soo yeah chloe: Chloe doesn't really have a lot to work on with her extremely limited appearance in-game so this is completely based off a fic i read lol, where chloe was in a relationship with kamski but only in private because of his concern for his image anyways, in 'a loving feeling' mitski sings about feelings of loneliness in a relationship where her partner only shows affection alone and yeah that just feels like chloe n kamski to me!

Premise: you play animal crossing with the boys watching you and its CUTE

It was a super long day.

And you just wanted to go home.

And play animal crossing on your old switch.

You were sitting in the car, leg jumping up and down, staring out the front window watching cars whiz by. Nines was driving, Sixty and Connor quietly talking in the back about a case they had. Icy blue eyes glanced at you, and quickly saw your jittery demeaner. The android leaned in his chair a bit, LED flashing a quick yellow before he reached out to gently place a large hand on your moving leg. You immediately stopped bouncing and looked at Nines, who peeled his eyes off the road to give you a slight smile.

You returned it.

The rest drive went on, and you all got home safely. Connor (of course) got out of the car to open your door for you, and Sixty chuckled as he watched, calling Connor a try hard. To which Connor gave him the dirtiest look he could muster in response, and pushed past him while taking hold of your hand to lead you to the house.

"Finally!" you sighed out as soon as the door to your apartment was opened, and you ran and fell face first into your guys' shared couch, letting your legs plank straight off the side.

Nines brushed past you, not before patting your legs, and headed to the bedroom, while you made fake snoring sounds into the couch. You felt someone come up to you and suddenly

You screamed and laughed into the couch, attempting to lightly punch the figure who sat on you, (and failing too because of the awkward angle your arms were at) and the heavy weight started giggling to himself. Luckily, the mystery man leaned in such a way that you still got air through the cushions. You appreciated it, but he was still hefty.

"Oh Sixty, you'll suffocate the poor girl." Nines voice was muffled from how far your face was shoved into the couch, and before you could register anything the figure (now known to be Sixty) was roughly shoved off of you. You rolled onto the floor, dramatically sucking in loads of air while Nines and Connor's faces smiled from above.

"You're not dying I hope?" Connor asked and leaned down to help you sit up, and you leaned an itsy bit forward to kiss his cheek. He smiled softly at you, and you started to return it, before seeing a blurry figure on the floor behind him.

You put your head on his shoulder to see Sixty in the family guy death pose and you burst into laughter, hugging Connor while the poor android asked you what was funny, and you definitely saw Sixty's frame shaking with giggles.

After that little show, you got dressed in some comfy clothes in your room, hearing the androids chastise Sixty for almost killing you (sorta). You just rolled your eyes, laughing slightly, before your gaze fell on a little item by your bed stand.

You beamed and headed to your switch, picking the game system up before turning around to head back to the living room. Just as you entered the hallway, you froze up.

Had you ever showed your boys your old animal crossing island?

You saw Nines head turn and pause to look questioningly at your still body, but you were already running forward to stand in front of the lot, who were currently standing in the middle of the living room. They instantly quieted when they saw your excited expression, and you were met by 3 confused faces.

"Have I ever shown you guys my animal crossing island?" you breathed out, rocking from one foot to the other and biting your lip, awaiting their answer.

"That looks old" Sixty tilted his head towards your switch, LED flashing yellow, aaaaand you took that for a no.

(A couple minutes of getting settled in and loading screens later)

You were able to connect the switch to the TV, all thanks to the boys. It was handy having boyfriends that could literally look up something in their heads and then instantly know how to do it. They connected your switch to the big screen, and you got out your old controller.

This was going to be fun.

"Okay so this is my house, and that's my little character" you pointed in the general area of the screen, before twirling your little girl on the TV in a circle to show off her outfit.

Connor made a small hum, while Nines complimented you "She's very.. adorable. Looks like a miniature you." You turned and beamed his way, looking at him from behind Sixty's head. His lips twitched in a sorta smile but his eyes were full of adoration, and you refocused your attention on the screen.

Before you could say anything more, a villigar walked on screen and started watering the flowers in front of your house.

"Oh that's Goldie, she's my little dog villager." Nines chuckled while Conner noted how cute she was watering your flowers for you.

"What to you do in this game?" Sixty asked, never taking his eyes off the screen, seemingly scanning every part of it.

"You take care of villagers, decorate your island, buy and sell stuff, there's a stock market-" you started counting things down off your fingers, and Sixty's quiet laughter interrupted you "There's a stock market?" you turned to him and nodded your head, explaining the turnips while he looked amused at how serious you got.

The rest of the day was spent with you playing animal crossing, showing the boys absolutely everything, and the boys being totally enamored by it.

Nines was focused on your decorating skills, complimenting your style and how you accessorized different houses and your island. Connor loved your villagers, and found all your dog ones the cutest. Sixty just enjoyed watching you more than the game itself, and how excited you were about your little animal game.

Eventually the boys wanted to try, and they each created a character for themselves and choose to place their houses next to yours. You giggled as they argued which plot of land they would get, and you just laid back to watch.

You leaned your head on Connors chest, and he wrapped an arm around you while continuing to argue with Sixty on where he would put his house.

Totally relaxing.

Gonna talk about my favorite song (Android Girl) as my favorite ship ever (Matsunashi) dont mind me (I need it, my life has been HELL this past week)

Im going to do my fave Eng cover lyrics first, then im gonna pull the two choruses and the second verse from the official eng translation. Also im gonna look at this song from the perspective of my boy Yasuke.

I feel like this is a FANTASTIC beginning, not only for the actual song, but to establish Matsushima. They were each others WORLD, they wanted to live their entire life with the other. But its also that give and take. They sacrifice so much of themselves for the other and they still feel unbalanced, especially with how Yasuke constantly feels used but acknowledges that Junko was always there when nobody else was. This also gives Yasuke the need to keep Ryoko at arms length, unsuccessfully.

we said we would stop, but it was all talk, a lie to one another

we hide the truth with wordplay and rhyme

a secret language you won't get just by looking into our eyes]

This truly represents both Yasuke's constant cruel words, and sometimes actions, but also Junko's need to inflict despair onto the ones she loves. But at the same time, its their game. Its their way of communicating with one another. Yasuke says that it took up until the tragedy to realize how obsessed with despair Junko actually was, and to me that reads as though he viewed her inflicting despair onto him like how he inflicts cruel words onto her. He never truly means those things, and he thought Junko didn’t either. Its their secret game, their language.

Not much here, but I definitely see this as Yasuke realizing that their love is no way healthy, and he wants her to recognize that. Even though they will never do anything to fix it.

Yasuke losing his mind by the end of Dr0, all thanks to Junko (AKA Android Girl). By the end, he literally feels like he never knew her and that she was just using him for her own benefit. Even when all HIS feelings were genuine. He spent most of his life truly believing that Junko loved him, and that belief is totally shattered by the time he dies.

I see the first lyric both as how long has Yasuke loved her, but also how long has he hated her. I can see him asking himself when resentment began to grow and how did he manage to love a person like Junko. The kiss line also will forever remind me of the kiss scene between them, and how she uses poison in her lipstick to paralyze him. The last line, i personally prefer the translated ver, but the way Yasuke keeps trying to save both Junko AND their relationship. They are stuck in the loop of give and take. And Yasuke just wants the old her back. He wants to restart with Ryoko.

Yasuke being the little shit he is and refusing genuine affection. He keeps pushing people away, but he knows Junko can see past this, so he has no incentive to stop. Having your own mother forget and start to hate you has GOT to affect your self esteem in some way, and his constant isolation is a clear sign of that.

I see this as him regretting both the things he did to protect Junko, but also him betraying her by keeping her as Ryoko. He’s extremely pessimistic and constantly worries about everything, he cant just forget about everything and start living a normal life with her. Also the fact they it isn’t over, he still has things to cover up for Junko, loose ends to tie. The last line, Junko literally promised that they would be together forever, but i find it so fascinating that he only refers to Ryoko as either his patient or his acquaintance. Despite Ryoko calling him her friend.

my feelings about fo4 romances thus far

ive done all of them except piper and danse i think. i have both planned but haven't achieved them yet. i know one major thing about danse's development but have no idea what happens after the discovery of the thing comes out and have even less idea why so many people are into him so I'm hoping I will Learn

i never really got why people are so into porter gage until i went through his romance and he's still not really my type but like, i get it now. the "man don't make me talk about feelings and shyit. we're... we're great! you know THAT. :/ " is so cute. i wish there was a redemption arc/reformed raider option for him because i feel like he had potential for growth that he just wasn't allowed to realize. underdeveloped but he is a DLC character so i guess that's how it goes

maccready is also kinda dangerously close to "personality changed completely when romanced" but it feels at least less jarring than cait's. maccready reads to me as a person who is actually quite sentimental and sweet but has become jaded/has to act tough to fit in/to protect himself and he's taking his walls down for you. he's another one that still isn't really my type but i Get It Now. his little toy soldier thing still gets me every time. speaking my exact love language of "here is a little thing that is important to me and i want you to have it and think of me." i respect maccready enjoyers

overall, when ranking the Z arcs, i unfortunately have to put cell arc at the bottom. THAT DOESN’T MEAN ITS BAD BY ANY MEANS THOUGH !!! i love the cell arc, i love cell, i love gohan, i love trunks, i love the androids. its just that when i compare it to the other arcs, it falls a little short lol..

i think the reason i rank it so low compared to other arcs largely has to do with goku and vegeta’s (separate) character arcs lol. it’s both of their WORST arcs by far. neither of them are ever present, and when they are present… theyre not making the best decisions lmfao specifically vegeta man i cannot STAND him in cell arc he really really gets on my nerves. goku is more understandable and requires a deeper explanation but vegeta simply just SUCKS in this arc lmfao

this is gohan’s best arc tho by far. and if ur a fan of side characters like piccolo and krillin then cell arc is a great arc for u ! this is basically everyone’s best arc but goku n vegeta lolol

i guess i’ll discuss the goku senzu scene too LMFAO .. since it needs to be said…… people are incredibly harsh on goku for giving cell a senzu bean. like, TOO harsh. he wasn’t doing it maliciously and he wasn’t doing it out of stupidity, as everyone in this dumbass fandom claims. goku is smart okay if you disagree thats fine but ur wrong, he’s very smart when it comes to battle and he wasn’t really considering gohan’s feelings about fighting when planning to awaken ssj2 in him. like .. okay .. the way i see it is that goku’s whole existence revolves around fighting and battle and growing stronger. its all he thinks about all day every day. and to want his son to be as strong as he can be isn’t an act of selfishness, it’s goku’s way of trying to help and bond with gohan. his heart is in the right place seriously he isnt trying to be selfish at all its just… actually a very smart way to approach it, its just that goku wasn’t really considering what gohan wanted because he couldnt fathom anyone not wanting to grow in strength.. he is proud of gohan and wants him to be the best he can be.. idc idc goku is a good dad. we all fuck up sometimes okay he’s a way better dad than fucking vegeta by any and all measure i’m sorry its true tho lol i’d go into this more but i feel kinda weird having this whole analysis of one scene in the middle of this otherwise brief arc review so 😭 i’ll move on

all in all cell arc is rly great, theres constantly shit happening and everyone is in deep distress 100% of the time which is rly entertaining to watch lmao its also a great arc for a lot of characters, other z fighters who arent goku and vegeta get the chance to shine in this arc and thats epic. unfortunately tho vegeta is unbearable and goku is …. debatably questionable in this arc so it goes at the bottom for me 💔 still adore it tho

maria is beloved by a lot of people yet the only people shadow ever seemed to care about from the ark was her and gerald. the reasoning is probably that other people on the ark avoided shadow and that makes me kinda sad

i read the names of every route possible and i find it hilarious how most of the ones for the true neutral hero ending with omega is called something like "android empire". though the ending also has routes titled "machine boys" and "steel combat boots" and i like those a lot too

I know this may sound weird but I’m a man in the way Data from Star Trek is a man. Basically Data is an android assigned male at birth but he has no gender, but people use he/him for him and he may be perceived as a man sometimes but ultimately he is non-binary and everyone on enterprise accepts this. I want to be perceived as a man, but I’m not really a man. My attraction to women doesn’t feel straight cause I’m nonbinary, but it doesn’t feel sapphic either, it’s just… and i saw the male lesbian label and I’m like. Just exploring my options you know? Anyways, sorry for infodumping and you don’t have to answer, I’m sorry you keep getting hate. I’m auDHD so 😅

male lesbian/heterosapphic terms can fit a lot of people. some nonbinary people are more "male aligned" in presentation as well. im actually nonbinary myself and really only identify as a man in the sense that im stealth irl and everyone forces me into the trans man category so i just own it at this point, its fine for people to apply trans man experiences to me as long as they are accurate to my lived experience, but in terms of my actual GENDER im masc/male-aligned nonbinary.

as for heterosapphic, anyone who feels their relationship/attraction is both straight and sapphic in nature can use it. both me and my girlfriend use the term, for different reasons (shes a pan t4t lesbian dating a nonbinary trans man who definitely looks like a guy, and me because i date women and because of my background as a lesbian and current preceived heterosexuality, i feel that heterosapphic is the best way to express the depths of my sexuality)

lots of people can use the term heterosapphic! a non-exhaustive list includes:

-butches/trans men/transmascs whos relationships are preceived as heterosexual due to their presentation, but feel sapphic in nature (or just butches/trans men/transmascs in general)

-lesbians whos relationships appear heterosexual due to dating a butch/trans man/transmasc

-lesbians who want to affirm their butch/trans man/transmasc partner's gender without having to give up their sexuality

and really, for male lesbian, you dont have to be MALE to use that term. many nonbinary (or even cis!) butches call themselves boy lesbians or male lesbians because thats what they present as. a lot of "being a man" can literally just be being shaped like one, ive found. and theres affirmation in being read as a man when youre transmasc, even if you ARENT necessarily a man in the traditional sense, or at all. basically, you dont have to be a GUY to be a guy, yknow?
