i forgot how truly FUN it is to be a part of fandom.. like, say what you will, theres obviously criticism for absolutely anything, but recently since i got into honkai star rail ive been finding myself interacting with so many people (including some of the english VAs which are absolute sweethearts!) and so much fun art and content made truly out of passion. its just fun i dunno why i denied myself of that

I don’t know if maybe it’s just me, but is anyone else seeing a rise of people claiming that they could do a better rewrite of Voltron and then immediately say they’d make K/L cannon or Adash/ canon?

I don’t know about anyone else but I genuinely don’t think making ships canon would make the show better.

In fact I think It’d make it worse.

And considering shiro isn’t even mentioned in these and if he is it’s just to be Keith dad…. Is telling.

yes i agree sometimes shipping brain gets in the way of like good analysis HOWEVER i think ppl that look down on shipping (especially crack shipping) have forgotten that fandom is silly at its root and ppl have fun in many ways

missing numbers was secretly a ploy to get really really into doing worldbuilding based on this extremely specific in-universe pseudo-meta horror based in the pokemon franchise. a lot of stuff we're cooking past gens 1+2 is original content based in the spirit of the classic trainerpastas based on those games... something something its all about the natural next step and the world of Pokemon is so fundamentally fucked. idkkkk smiles

the rapid progression of the digital circus fandom is so interesting to watch unfold. like. i dont think its popularity is undeserved?? like i didnt personally think it was that funny, but its really well made and i liked all the characters and the presentation was cool. i can see why it went viral. but even when it comes to viral sensation-type fandoms i dont think ive ever seen Swap AUs and "who broke it" animatics showing up on my timeline when the media itself hasnt even been out for two full weeks yet

Bro, I hate when actors are like, "Don't have gay ships involving my character because it's insult to actual gay relationships." Babe, it's more insulting to tell us we shouldn't ship a fiction man/woman with another fictional man/woman just because they aren't canonically gay. I promise we are well aware of the fact that the character is heterosexual in canon. But, we get so little representation that we're desperate for crumbs. Let gay people ship their stupid little fake characters with other stupid little fake characters and be happy. We rarely see actors talk about straight ships this way. How many times have you seen an actor say something like "Hey stop shipping this man and woman together because it would be an insult to actual heterosexuality." Exactly. What's actually insulting is how little representation we get. Let us be happy with the representation we have been forced to create on our own.

UM, ok i have a few entanglement pieces, some concepts, and an azure lion design and one (1) angsty comic for entanglement shadowpeach,,

a honeymoon scribble picture and a full color comic that i have 3 out of 4 pages done but i really dont have the willpower to fully color the last page, so it might just be 3 pages and the last one done in lines and tones only

outside of aus i got one silly comic thats been in my drafts since, like, february which ill probably post today. a few eldrich mei concepts i might clean a little, one of those screenshots + posts things, a little angst idea abt possessed swk from just after the s3 special, and a few misc drawings which ill just put into one post

i also have several oc posts but honestly those are some of the only things im still actively working on so those arent really as important

Tumblr can be tricky since as far as I'm aware, the only way your stuff will get seen is either they are found through search tags or reblogs, so I'm honestly stumped on this too. Though these are stuff I've done that has helped me a bit I think <:D

Interact with other posts (Reblog and adding your own addition to the post)

Reblog your own art at different time of the day to bump it for different timezones

Search for best posting time (Find data when most users are active. I had to post early in the AMs sometimes cause of my timezone)

Engage in fandom art, posts, or activities with other users! (If that's your interest! Don't force yourself! Have fun with it!) This one helped a ton and I'm grateful for people who share similar interests when I have my brainrot phase! <3

Meme redraw or some funnee (Trust me, memes and fandoms are a great way to bond with people. Looking at my oomfies <3)

Tag your posts (Prioritize the first 5 tags since those are the ones most likely to be picked up in search or smth, I dont remember, but get the broad/most likely to be searched terms first then you can tag other stuff in.)

In the end tho, I feel like these days I just post whatever I wanna, reblog my own stuff on occasions and hope people like them enough to reblog or share it around too.

Its hard getting stuff noticed, so be sure to do the same for others too by sharing/engaging with it. 🫶Hope this makes sense SJDSD
