āØ pokĆ©mon AU! š“āØ clora is mainly fairy & psychic (bc shes sweet but also smart) whereas seb trends towards fire/dark (even tho i only ended up giving him 1 dark pokemon...shhh) i originally gave him a houndour, bc dark + guard dog was such a perfect combo for him, but arcanine ALSO suits him and is way cuter so i had to go with that š„¹ and i had to fit in a raven and a snake pokemon somewhere bc...cmonš„° BAHAHA

I love the idea that, whenever a Cybertronian space-faring vessel lands or docks within a predominantly non-Cybertronian space station or port, that it's required that they either confirm or deny whether their vessel is sentient or not before being permitted to land.
1. For proper accommodation and clarification, along with the chance for communication between the vessel and crews working the station/port.
2. Because there has been... incidents... incidents that have led to the requirement of the above reasons.

#my oc#rune#this is a redraw of something i drew 11 years ago wowowow#i downloaded paint tool sai to all my computers since its the easiest to load up and doesnt have a license limit fuck you csp#that was mori's christmas? present a year ago. a nice shiny paint tool sai license#it had to be a year ago I think. a little over a year? thats when i realized i could own a sai license after so many years of using it#and it was only like $30 i love you 5000% paint tool sai#do not quote me on the $30 thing. the yen is not strong right now but that's probably still not right#when I was a kid I thought sai was like $50 and maybe it was? but i didnt have money either way so :shrug:#i just checked and it actually was about $35 wowie#rune's supposed to be wearing a mouse animal hat. the original design looked more like a bear though.#it kinda reminds me of a rabite but its at least more mouse-like than before. i based it on an animal hat i own. its an owl#im all over the place but yeah sai was $50 6 years ago and around that price when I was a kid. i just picked the best time#to not want to deal with csp's licensing bullshit on my devices#as for the zoom in for a a surprise: this was his canvas first#and then i drew rune and then i felt bad so i left him in there. since he was there first

Thereās this stereotype that shiny pokemon are fussy and pampered and generally weaker bc theyāre rather babied and adored. And while I understand where that assumption comes from (Iāve seen how some of you guys treat your shinies donāt even lie). I feel like people forget why most shinies are so incredibly rare.
Like, depending on their coloration it wildly decreases their survival rate in the wild. Thereās gonna be a difference in living as a blue Vaporeon or a bright pink one, yāknow? Makes them struggle to blend in with their environments which, depending on if theyāre carnivorous, can make hunting harder, sometimes the pokemon gets rejected from their packs/herds/flocks, they can struggle to get a mate, and makes them an easy target for predators.
So like when you see a shiny in the wild you gotta just stand back and bask in the rarity of it not just for being rare genetically, but the sheer amount of willpower and strength (or luck) that its had to make it this far. Thatās pretty badass.
#this isnāt like a universal experience for wild shinies though. we all know some of them hardly sport a difference#every day iām afraid iāve run into a shiny somewhere and just let it get away bc it was only a slight tone change lmao#but the first shiny i ever ran into in the wild was a shiny Drowsee and let me say#that thing was FIERCE#never met an aggressive Drowsee before kinda scared me tbh#ended up trading him away but he was a toughy#its not easy being pink#i will say though. breeder sourced shinies are pretty pampered#isnāt that a funny dichotomy though?#in the wild life can be so hard for them. but to us humans we love and adore their differences#pokeblogging#pkmn irl#pkmn posting#pokemon blogging#pokemon irl#unreality

#something is very obviously different about these two compared to my normal images on this blog. i acknowledge this#also the sv model is Really good. and since they always stare straight at the camera anywayā¦ and no one pays attention to the backgroundā¦#and the only high-quality phantump model i could find was so horribly shiny that its eyes were just white voids#in my defenseā phantump always just stare straight at you in game#the lighting is differentā yeah. that's probably the dead giveaway. beyond the background. but like. i'm the only being on the planet who#really likes phantump anyway. i feel like it's a generally forgettable pokĆ©mon to most folks#phantump#HELLO this one is a weird one. i have some explaining to do. so when i did this one i didn't know how to edit models really at all#and when i got the models for theseā the xy models were super shiny. shiny to the point that it made their eyes fuckin invisible#and i decided that since you could barely tell it was phantumpā i needed a different way to get these images#i remembered that in the SV dlcā every time you find a wild phantumpā it just fucking. stares. at you. and i was like. aha#i kinda remembered because of the test stream that i did. tumblr user alligayytorr (am i getting the right amount of Ys) said#āhaha i am getting a sneak peekā when i zoomed the camera in on a phantump. and i remembered that. and i was like. i can utilize this#and ended up using just an in-game screenshot of SV in replacement of the regular content. later onā after that#once we got into gen 7 and it became less and less reliable to find modelsā i had to learn how to edit them manually to remove the shine#i am a software dev. not a 3d modeler. this ended up coming down to editing the code of the models directly (which i ended up writing a#script to automate). nowā todayā january 22nd (the day of me writing these tags and updating this post)ā i remembered this post was in the#queue and was not normal. so i went backā ran the script on the phantump and trevenant modelsā and unshinified them#then edited these two posts to be normal. i have left the original pictures i took under the cut for reference and as bonuses#because i really enjoy phantump. so that's why those images are thereā and that's why these tags are here#just for posterity's sakeā the folks who come here mostly for my commentaryā i've left the ORIGINAL tags of the post when i initially#made it with the SV pictures up at the top (i wanted to rearrange themā but tumblr makes that Very difficultā so i left them as-is)#so if these tags are confusing to read i Apologize. but i hope now that you're at the bottom you understand what happened#i'm gonna go edit the trevenant post now

his wings turning into vulture wings because what is Tom if not someone who survives on the remnants of others? of their good will? their faith? the things they drop when Tom comes swinging, the glittering diamonds and mounds of iron he can raid from a person's unkept storage chest?
And of course, when a god dies and their power is posed to disperse, why wouldn't Tom naturally pick up that power? He wouldn't even have to think about it- hell, he probably doesn't even realize he was the one that sucked the power in. What is more vulture like that reaping the rewards of a dead god?
