ima be so real... i hate the idea of jack being some "greater mastermind who actually escaped death and will come back in bl4 as the Big Bad"

the biggest appeal about jack to me is the fact that despite being genuinely really smart and tough, he's really just human in the end. angel died, he got reckless, he died. same with tales tbh. he found out angel died, rhys betrayed him, he crashed out, he "died". he's extremely self destructive and THAT is why i really love jack as a character. it just wouldn't hit the same if he somehow survived and it was all part of some secret plan

My favorite little pass-time headcanon is that Apocrypha is an Abyssal Stomach. The place where all knowledge goes once consumed by an ever hungry monstrosity. If Hermaeus is a knowledge-eater, his library is his stomach. To me this fits perfectly with how Apocrypha erodes everything.

Your humanity is eroded, changed beyond recognition, the Hushed look like they have been digested and kept in water for far too long. Pale wrinkled and blotchy skin where you could even dare to say the skin has slipped off their bodies due to the exposure. Yet they are in no water at all, simply in the realm itself.

The realm is scattered with fossilized remains, as if you're walking through a graveyard, a place with no exit for these creatures where they were slowly eroded and consumed by the realm itself until they are nothing but bones. Having no glorious fight for their lives, no honor, simply to wait to be digested. The realm is littered with black waters which can be perceived as a stomach acid and a bile. In Skyrim, the waters quickly begin to kill you when stepping into it, sapping your resources rapidly, other beings are able to turn themselves into "ink", dissolving to travel through it. The digestion when exposed to the water rapidly erodes your mind and body. If you are not killed, it changes you, mangles you and disfigures you in every possible way. As if you're in acid. If this comparison to a stomach is true... it could explain why depictions of Herma-Mora's maw is littered across his realm. Divinity in consumption. Displaying the reverence of eating and by extension digestion.

Oh to be a naive arcanist in your study, one day you truly look around yourself and see the many corpses, never once thinking as to why they are there. Such a realization has come far too late.

The revelation of your own slow, eroding death within the stomach of an unfathomable monstrosity.

Hot take: Even though I love that he beat the Miquellallegations, pre-dlc Mohg was so much better and had a lot to go for in terms of power, potential and how conniving and dedicated he was to achieve his goal. I miss him.

Also the premises for a Lord of Blood ending were right there. It would've been an interesting alternative option where you as a player, not only as a Tarnished, are giving up both your role as main character and your quest to become Elden Lord, thus letting someone else seize that opportunity.

I understand Miquella's plan for godhood and the creation of a gentler world (which is still ultimately destined to fail if we intervene and avoid having our heart stolen by him), but it removed so much agency from Mohg in particular, in my opinion.

found a vitaar to disguise the cc's blush crimes 😤 anyway this is the first time i'm playing DAI on an actually high quality laptop (first was xbox 360 which was poor graphics/didn't even bother rendering extras on the landscape, then my workhorse but cheapish gaming laptop i used for 10 entire years and which was wheezing its last breaths). did you know there's FLOWERS everywhere in the hinterlands?? not for me before! also, if you dick around long enough, Solas makes a pointed comment like "Shouldn't we be heading to Val Royeaux now to close the breach???" which i assume was dialogue patched in after release when everyone got stuck in the hinterlands for 10 hours. hush Solas im trying to fuck up the local ram population.
