I loooooooove the way you write Diluc. I read all of your fics time and time again, they give me so much comfort :) thank you hazel!
I'm glad you like him, writing for him means so much to me. I always second guess myself when I write for any of the characters and hope they come across as if you were seeing them in the game itself.
The stories bring me comfort when I write them too. So for them to reach you, I am very glad (. ❛ ᮗ ❛.)

lee donghyuck enemies to lovers fic ideas (all fics are haechan × reader)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
haechan who is your rival coworker + secretly deadpool
for the sake of this story, lets assume deadpool does hide his identity. he works at a tech company and is constantly beefing with his coworker that he's lowkey attracted to. and the plot could maybe be something like you accidentally finding out his identity and then using that information to slightly/ kind of/ in a non-toxic way blackmail him. eg: making him run errands for you, asking to tag along on his quests as deadpool. then the pair gets closer through all the time they spend together etc etc.
✶ note : hyuck HAS to be the sassiest, funniest, most sarcastic, cocky human being ever. also include some spidermark maybe
haechan as the prince of the neighbouring kingdom
historical au. very basic ik but hear me out. your kingdom's glory and power is gradually draining and it's threatened by multiple rivaling kingdoms. that is when your mother, the queen, tells you there is no choice but to turn to hyuck's kingdom for help. you hate the idea but you know everyone's counting on you so you go through with it anyways. (this is historical so there could be a very cool scene of the reader riding on a horse in battle armour to neighbouring kingdom's palace themself but whatever). they're good, kind people so they agree to help you. they send over a part of their military along with some weapons and of course haechan himself, their most prized possession who, like you, is skilled with a sword and is a wise leader. there's lots of quarrels between the both of you when it comes to the topic of which one has more power over the other and about who should be leading the troops. but you soon put your animosity aside when you realize that you have to work as a team to win. (insert dramatic battle sequence with swords and arrows flying around. at one point, you and haechan lock eyes and suddenly he drops to the ground. the world starts to blur around you when you realize he's been stabbed in his back. you frantically rush to his aid but he falls limp in your arms. its now upto the writer to kill him there itself and end the story. very angsty, i love. or they could also save him somehow and give main characters the happy ending they deserve).
✶ note : sloooooowwwww buuuurn. i mean this should be a long ass series with 7k+ words per chapter. should be so heavy on the angst and the hate that it makes you wonder if they do actually end up loving each other in the end. please include sword fighting scenes with sexual tension i beg you. (im big on bollywood, can u tell).
haechan as a stranger/ tour guide you meet on a family trip
you've just gotten out of a 3 year long relationship after your boyfriend cheated on you with your best friend. things get worse when your family, unaware of your breakup, forces you on a 2 week trip to *insert destination of choice" . here you meet the annoying, sarcastic, a-little-too-happy-for-his-own-good donghyuck. he is with the group your family is touring with (him being the tour guide is a pretty cute plot too but it could kind of complicate things later) and instantly wins everyone over with his charm, except you of course. in classic hyuck fashion, he tries to keep getting your attention and eventually succeeds. his company helps ease the pain of the heartbreak he didn't even know about. its bittersweet when it's time to part ways. you realise after you come back to your college dorm that you never exchanged phone numbers and you fail to find him on social media as well. but fate has strange ways of bringing people together. which is why you cant stop smiling when crash into a certain someone during a regular grocery run.
✶ note : more on the fluff and less on the angst for this one. and maybe a dash of slice of life as well.
haechan as captain of the football team.
there is no actual plot for this other than the fact that you're a cheerleader and also his academic rival (there is no trope i love more than this). my vision for this is very 2000s romcom. ik this isn't a lot to work with but there could be some sub trope like fake dating mostly.
✶ note: nothing much just make it cute
+i have a few more ideas, will probably make a part 2
++if in the future, by some miracle, people do find these interesting enough to use, please dont forget to credit me!!

Otto manages in some way to ''delude'' himself into thinking that Alicent would have wanted to marry her best friends's father ,become his queen and have his (male) heirs ,all of it while shes an anxious teenage girl who suffers from dermatillomania .Which is weird because Alicent clearly looks uncomfortable as he asks her to see Viserys .Actually ,the second time we see her asking her if she will see him she looks angry
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
In this scene Otto also asks her why she's biting her nails in such an obsessive way ,and he outright says that he doesnt understand why she is doing it ,after all why would she do it if she is the most comely lady of the realm?.
Otto doesnt realize that Alicent is anxious not only because she is like that by nature ,but because he's putting her in a difficult position ,not caring about her desires at all .And he thinks ,in a pretty sexist way ,that her being the most comely lady of the realm is a enough reason to make her stop .And what is worse is that when he said that he didnt do it out of malice ,he genuinely thought it that way with no intention of harm.He was probably encouraging her to stop of her own good.
That doesnt mean he is above weaponinzing things against Alicent ,such as her sexuality and her mother's memory .And ,horrific enough ,these two things go hand in hand i the first scene we see them alone
Her sexuality is a weapon for him because Otto can strictly control it and he is the one who will decide who she can share said sexuality with .Her mother's memory is a weapon because Alicent's mother was very dear to her .He straight up tells her to wear one of her mother's dressed ,one that is very bold for that matter.
Otto's also uses her mother's memory again in ep 9 (''you look so much like your mother in certain lights''),as he is desperately trying to get back into her good graces once its clear she is the one in charge between the two.She doesnt give in this time.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
A thing about Otto and Alicent's dynamic is that ,not only he genuinely believes that he is doing something good for her ,there is a specific reason on why he completely misunderstands Alicent.
And i think the line ''Our heart are one'' explains it perfectly.
Otto cant see Alicent outside her daughterhood ,he cant understand that she has a mind of her own .Thats why he gets so baffled when she speaks her mind and her plans do not align with his (ep 3 ,ep 4 ,ep 5 ,ep9).And (dont you dare think im blaming her im explaining his pov)Alicent always strives to be dutiful and sacrificial at all costs ,so obviously she obeys her dad (the man who has a lot of power over her in a fantasy medieval setting). And she also loves him and doesnt wanna disappoint him !.And so Otto gets used to the fact that ,even as a 35 adult woman with lots of experiences ,she will always obey him and their plans and ideas will always align .
Alicent is essentially a character who lost her sense of personhood because as a teenager she is put in situations where she is forced to serve and to always take care of others ,who take advantage of her dutiful persona ,and she never actually gets used to the idea that her feelings and desires matter .
And Otto is the first one who takes advantage of that ,he is the one who used her ''a piece to move across the board''.And that shapes her .
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now that doesnt mean he doesnt care for her ,he does love her in his own way.
But that doesnt change he still fails her .

actually CANNOT explain to you how thrilled i am about this one oh my goodness.
once again, going off this post, this time in response to @tigerbears !! i couldnt screenshot the whole message so im doing this in segments going from top to bottom and cataloguing my thoughts and counterpoints.
Tumblr media
of course, this argument does make sense — queen showcases the hologram of a knife, kris is pretty known for their connection to knives, they even use their knife to create the dark fountain at the end of chapter two. seems like a pretty solid bout of evidence. but not necessarily.
see, I'd like to argue that queen doesn't truly know much about the knight, nor how the fountain was created, not in detail. for certain, she knows dark fountains are created via a lightners determination, that they stab into the ground and darkness is born from the act. but, if you look at the video she has — no actual further information is given, pretty strongly suggesting queen herself might not have a whole lot of further information, either. we know she's prone to making assumptions, particularly in regards to the knight — why can't the idea that a knife in specific was used be just one more assumption?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
queen is just a computer, she doesnt know everything, after all. she might not necessarily be the most accurate source of information. and wouldnt it make sense, if the only thing she knows for certain is that the knight stabbed into the ground, that she'd draw the conclusion they used a knife? that's certainly what first comes to the frint of my mind witg the association of stabbing (but, then, i might have some confirmstion bias).
Tumblr media
kris would also know that the knight, whoever it may be, must have left the computers on. its shown through text interacting with objects in the computer lab that kris has a decent understanding — at least by this point — of how dark worlds work, how they're affected by the light world and the surroundings of the fountain.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
... ignore that theyre out of order ive only just realised how to put images side by side but i cant get them to go in the order i want.
BUT ANYWAY, back to theorising and debating. what im trying to say is — kris saw and understood all this before they made the fountain, they easily could have copied off what the knight was doing. of course, this doesn't account for the fact the tv got plugged in overnight, but if this was the plan all along, why make the cyber worlds fountain in the first place, why not simply create the fountain within the dreemurr residence to begin with? especially knowing we as the player would simply seal it as we did with card kingdom.
Tumblr media
there could be a number of other reasons for this, i feel, that make a lot of sense as to why the knight has not yet managed to start the roaring. for example, if we were to ascribe to the theory that mayor holiday is the knight (among others, but this was the first i thought of and one i see discussed frequently enough to be of note), it could easily be written down to her being busy — a point that's made again and again whenever she's brought up. in other cases, it could be argued that the knight has to be careful about being discreet, as the more people find out about what's going on, the more people that will try to stop them, thus making their job tremendously more difficult.
Tumblr media
and finally, to flip this on its head and argue in the oppisiye direction (because i am an unstoppable force) — i dont think the line in question is referring to what people assume it is, honestly. the closet is supposed to be the city — electronics, wires, all that good stuff. and, as seen interacting with other objects, particularly in chapter two — the text will at times reflect what we saw in the dark world.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
i think, more likely than this line in particular being some reference to the knight, is simply another example of this established pattern. of course, there could be a double meaning to it, but it could also been a plain reference to giga queen, seen as that fught occurs within the city.
Tumblr media
BUT thats all i gotta say on this, i think — might add on at a later date but honestly who knows. yet again, all screenshots were found on the deltarune text project so all credit there since my points definitely wouldn't hold as much weight without the visual reference (and its honesty just a cool as fuck project).

tmagp 13 relisten notes!!
there are spoilers for episode 13 below the cut!
celia:
- admits to sam that she asked alice for advice and general information about him. this implies she has a pretty friendly relationship with alice (evidenced by alice buying her a mocha) and seems relatively unthreatened by her past with sam so far.
- "no one, im mysterious" -> evidence for her not being from this dimension, if no one can give a lot of information about her
- reveals jack is her baby! (not followed by a glitch)
- says the past couple years "since the move" (between dimensions?) were weird for her
- believes the incidents they work with are real, and im certain shes in the same boat as the audience rn, trying to categorize them with background knowledge that isnt accurate anymore
sam:
- easy to make blush, doesnt know how cute he is, is an overachiever, obsessive, a but repressed, nosy, kind of a recluse, and very easy to wind up
- gifted kid syndrome poster child; he seems to view being turned away by the magnus institute as the beginning of his rejection streak (not admitted to oxford, didnt get first, got fired from his legal firm). i think this will be a major point in his motivations and a fear of rejection and need for validation is going to drive him to receive the greatness he wants (and believes he has earned). i can already see a corruption arc brewing for him, poor thing
- did NOT tell celia about his experiences in the institute or what his "incident" was (referring to lena's interview where she asked him what the worst thing he's seen/experienced was). this isnt super sketchy considering its a first date, but is interesting since he was the one who wanted "all the baggage" out early
- he doesn't want to accept that the incidents are real, but i think he does believe in them. he brought the topic up to celia and has asked alice about it before too, so he may be aware that the incidents are real, but is unwilling to fully conceptualize what that means for himself and his world view
- says that alice doesnt love the idea of him seeing celia, which means he may have picked up on her feelings for him
gwen:
- feels guilty over instigating the mr.bonzo incident -> whats really interesting is that she doesnt threaten to quit or not be involved, she accepts that she gas another email to look through and another external to interact with, but it seems to upset her
- she asks lena why this (externals and mr bonzo murder) is happening, implying that she can stomach the work if its for a reason
lena:
- gives gwen the ABCs of genre-awareness:
- this dimension also has "opposing forces- most of them meaning to be harmful.
- these "forces" need to be "balanced" and controlled in order to maintain order in the world/system -> still working off of a smirke-esque theory that retaining balance will keep the world secure. i dont know if she means balance between forces of good and evil or forces in the supernatural sense
- says the OIAR is managing the bad guys, as in monitoring their actions and directing externals to "balance" things
alice:
- actually offended that sam doesnt want to share information with her and isnt having a good time knowing sam and celia are seeing each other
- tells sam "he cant prove anything" about the cases being real, but doesnt tell him hes wrong
- i would fling myself from a sky scraper for you, miss dyer, but please never say bussin or fire again
- "stop trying to make an impact" -> the more she tells sam to cut the x-files shit out, the more she stops protesting his suspicions. her scolding has gone from "nothing is going on, chill out" to "sure, theres a conspiracy, but we are paid to ignore it"
-
alice/sam's past:
- dated at uni, previously stated they were together for several years. it seems to have been a decent split since they stayed in contact afterward.
- sam was there for her when her parents died, but lost contact after
- she contacted him w the OIAR job details after he made an exceptionally pathetic vague post
incident:
- centered around gambling and self harm to achieve success- this draws ties to episode 2 (self harm) and episode 9 (luck). i expect this is more aligned with ep 9, as the self harm seems to be in the interest of changing his odds/luck, and the incident is primarily about gaining external success, not physical change. though, ep 2 could be a personal experience with ink5oul that is not representative with their "force"
- the narrator of this statement was quick to actively sacrifice his own well being to achieve better luck, which is a pretty stark contrast to other people who looked to harm other people in their own interest (violin guy and dice guy, i forgot their names sorry!!)
- zorro trader may be a reoccurring organization in relation to gambling
- the narrators options for his debt were to either pay it back or have a personal adjustment, once he completes the voicemail he is transferred to the adjustments apartment, which was not an option on the original call log and something he did not request
- he is promptly adjusted :)
- i think this could be related to the theme of keeping balance, since the incident narrator claims it isnt wrong to play with the loophole, and it ends with him getting what he owes, which is a nice connection to lena's explanation of the OIAR's purpose
glitches/lies:
- "im happy you're happy", alice (she is not happy that sam is with celia!!)
extra comments:
- i really didnt expect an explanation of the OIAR and its position in this so early, and im surprised lena was the one to reveal it. this exposes that shes pretty open with the staff she feels are on a need-to-know basis, and it also changes my expectations for how we'll come across a big reveal in this series, since information is being given in a more open way
- i think alice and celia definitely know something but in opposing ways- acting as foils to each other with sam (information seeker) in the middle. celia knows about how the fears work in the tma dimension, and alice knows why and what the OIAR are really doing- together, they solve the puzzle that sam is trying to piece together.

PAINTER!GETOU HC'S.
first post! enjoy a few (n)sfw headcanons of a AU that has taken over me. minors, SHOO!
this was written with a black reader in mind btw !
Tumblr media
SFW.
painter!getou is a worldwide known artist for his wonderful use of symbolism and meaning behind each piece he curates in the comfort of his studio apartment that he has the pleasure of sharing with his muse and symbolism expert; you.
muse!reader is the overall inspiration for each piece and reason why he loves what he does for a living. you make his painting career so eventful, and he can't find the words nor actions to thank you enough.
painter!getou takes your suggestions and thoughts when it comes to anything. when it comes to painting, you help him try to broaden and emphasize what message he wants to come across with your knowledge of symbolism. you both work as a team; getou with the artistry, the muse with the knowledge and explanation.
"wait, how about you add red to this? i get the message and everything, but the red would make it more obvious of what you're trying to say. red can mean passion, en-" quickly pours out red paint as she talks
every painting painter!getou curates has to have a certain part of the drawing involving you. if it isnt your actual full body on the piece, there's always something in the background that he puts in. when the piece finally gets published into art shows, its like a guessing game to find out which part of the piece is symbolizing you before you get getou to tell you (which you're mostly right at times).
painter!getou secretly loves when you draw on his canvases just so he can keep each drawing in the final piece, he just gets "mad" for no reason.
"wait, baby... aren't those the hearts I drew on the corner of the canvas?" "mhm, what about them?" "why'd you keep them?" "i...forgot."
painter!getou bought you your own plush lounge chair when it came to posing for him so you didn't get too uncomfortable to stay in the same position for too long.
after you suggested that he should try to light incense around the apartment to help set the mood for painting, painter!getou never paints without incense lit and warm lighting dimly lit in the living room.
"sweetheart, can you grab the open box of incense in the kitchen? i need to start this commission." "you know you don't have to light them everytime you paint-" "they make me feel relaxed."
painter!getou adores the way you get so excited and run to your lounge chair when he asks if he could use you for a piece idea. your smile lightens up the entire room, and he cant help but smile back.
you two have "dates" almost every weekend + Friday. whether you go out for a movie, dinner, make a pillow fort, or just spend quality time with each other, you always insist on calling it a date when painter!getou just says its just spending quality time.
"i call it a date because we're together and doing fun stuff together!" "so are painting nights not fun?" "that's different. that's for work."
NSFW.
since painter!getou works from home instead of in an office, you have to leave during the day to attend your corporate job even after getou insisted on helping you financially instead of you leaving his side every morning. during these few hours of your absence, he can't help but think of you. stroking his cock as he reminisces about your nude body sprawled out on the lounge chair you pose on, getting your pussy drilled into continuously as the finished canvas dried. there were also a few times he jerked off to his own pieces of your nude body, but never told you that.
painter!getou adores forcing you to look at yourself in the mirror as he fucks you senseless. he wanted you to see what he saw in you for yourself.
painter!getou is POSSESIVE AS HELL!!! he understands that people might find the anonymous person on his pieces sexy because she's nude, but all he cares about is that you come home to him at the end of the day. you come home and gag on his cock delightfully before you both continue with your day.
painter!getou doesn't just like cumming inside of you. he adores the way his warm liquid drapes across your face or stomach. it makes him feel like he's making a masterpiece on a canvas all over again.
painter!getou's position that makes him the most weak in the knees ever since being with you: cowgirl. the way he can see your entire figure all out for display and bouncing so quickly on his cock sends him into a spiral.

Hey hannah đŸ„č
Can i ask from aspiring writer to best writer i’ve ever seen; what is your writing process like?
I feel like i wanna be more organized and navigate through it better so that whenever i think of writing my brain doesnt go “fuck this i dont make up stories on command” ykwim?😭
Like maybe you have a certain process or routine when it comes to writing to make it easier to navigate through it?
Love you lots đŸ«¶đŸœ
Tumblr media
HELLO LOVE!!! I want to answer this as helpfully as I can because I'm flattered you'd want to learn this from **me**
tl;dr - outlines help but isn't a requirement! run with your inspiration while you can! write what makes you happy! reading other's work will help you find your own voice! having someone read your work is a massive morale boost!
I'm gonna be completely honest with you, I mostly just go 'okay here's what I want to see, that's what I'm going to write'. I don't really have a process other than BAM GIMME THIS BRAIN. I rarely write outlines or plot points because I usually just think of something and run with it.
THAT BEING SAID. I have a series called Safe Keeping that I reaally wanted to write and i had so many ideas that i had to write them down or else I'd forget. I'm very proud of this because I actually finished it! I dont think i've ever finished a series 💀💀 and this was when I realized, hey, outlines aren't bad đŸ€ đŸ€ đŸ€ŁđŸ€Ł i basically just put the plot points i wanted to see.
And then there's tormented spirit, which you already know about. it's literally the longest fic I've ever written in my life ever, and i'm in awe of myself that I can continue it cos DAMN MAMA WHO ARE YOU YOU ARE A ONESHOT QUEEN. i just knew i had to write this. i wanted to build it. i just HAD to write it, so i did. One of the reasons why I can keep going is because I know where I'm going, and have known since chapter 1. Although I'd say this fic of mine is very unique because it's the first time I've had polls for it and allowed my readers to chose (💀 its not for the faint of heart, they nearly derailed my plans twice) but at the end of the day, it's night, and if i do what everyone else wants, the fic will crash and burn, so i keep doing what i do, cos it's my fic
as for 'writing on command' i totally get you. I sometimes want to write but i cant T_T no matter how i try. sometimes i force myself and im like meh sometimes i have to just make peace with the fact i cant write anything. for me, watching movies/tv shows really help, especially if it's really good or really bad HAAHAHH if it's mid im usually like meh... lol.
also, i started I was like 11????? and i was fucking shit at it, and yet for some reason, I was like???? i'm really good actually???? HAHAHAH i don't know why???? HAHHAH maybe it was because I just genuinely just loved what I was writing because I was writing for me, and maybe it was because I would read so many fics, but none of them had the plot that *I* wanted. Maybe it was that.
I'm having a crisis because looking back, I was just showing my friends my 1d fics (you can see THE 1d fic i have if you like HASKLFHAHSF edit: IM SOBBING IM READING CHAPTER 3 AND IM DEADDDDD not me wondering why not more people read my work T_T HAHAHHHAHAH) that I wrote on my notebook and giggling with them and then I would post them and no one would read them but I'd keep posting them anyway. MY POINT IS, YOU HAVE TO JUST KEEP WRITING YOU KNOW!!!!! YOURE NOT GONNA GET BETTER IF YOU DONT DO ANYTHING! i have a teacher that taught me to use the word skill over talent because talent is connotated to be innate and honey i wasnt born good at writing daemon angst.
As for any technical advise, all my years reading made me realize that i am 100% a dialogue girlie. the more dialogue and the less non dialogue i can put the better. I find action sequences a bit difficult, so i've learned to be more forgiving to myself and just condense those and let my audience imagine it. at the same time, i've read so many fics that just describe things so beautifully and i so badly want to be a writer like that but i dont think i am tbh so i just do what i think feels best for me
lastly, as i've mentioned on your post before, having someone read your work and encourage you is incredible. i have a few moots i shout at and chuck my work to only because we've become friends. how? well i read their work and fawned so hard they adopted me <3. i also just really love reacting to people's work in general. i also love sharing my work with people i love online moots or otherwise, so even when i dont get a comment on a fic, i'm like hey my bestie said it was nice to my face, so its all good. don't be disheartened if comments don't come. it doesnt take away from your work at all <3. feel free to tag me in your work btw!!! i have your jace fic in my internal to read list.
also everyones process is different. if you need more structure, do it. if you want to be free, do it.

ok one thing i am Absolutely certain of is that something is Up with misha and im far from the only one
the fact that literally No character acknowledges his presence beyond us and clockie (who, mind you, isnt seen by anyone else either). how his dialogue as a visitor to the express has him likening it to feeling the way "home" does. the fucking keyhole eyes and the keyhole door motifs in the dreamscape Especially a childs dream (and whos a child in the penacony cast???)
and just honest to fuck the ENTIRETY of a childs dream like. mikhail. when misha is a diminutive of the name. the voices you hear during the story segment in the map DEFINITELY include mishas. they describe it as a dream that is created from the memories of a child yet its also the map that contains the most references to the watchmaker including that room which seems like his workshop or sth??
his interest in the astral express and the new gacha destruction LC literally depicting him receiving a ticket to the express (from his grandpa too whos prolly the mikhail n also the watchmaker) combined with the fact our invitation to penacony was using the EXPRESS distress call genuinely makes me feel like it could be him behind that hidden message
n then i just saw a comment that wondered whether hes the fucking nilou to penaconys "dream". and like. it would be so fucking wild but also adds up so well?? Or maybe im insane but listen.
penaconys dream is falling apart its sinking back into the depths of a much more chaotic, dangerous memory space. the way the dream samsara in genshin 2.0 story worked was that it depended on the "dreamer" never becoming aware of the fact that theyre dreaming. and what question does the distress call slash invitation carry? one thats pondering the meaning of dreaming. one that i can VERY well believe to be coming from someone whos literally been dreaming for aeons know How long slowly becoming aware and asking Why. Why does life slumber?
if misha has been created as or made into the lynchpin of penaconys dream holding it all together but for some reason has begun rousing from his slumber and gotten close enough to awareness that he IS dreaming that its beginning to affect the stability of the dreamscape. and he has some sort of vague memories (or maybe inherited ones thru his 'grandpa' who might well be just the watchmaker that Created him) of the express. wouldnt it make complete sense for the first thing in his mind to call for the express?
and even things like "death" too? if misha is the dreamer and waking up and hes fucking terrified and confused and disoriented. Yet its still his dream that makes up the entirety of the dreamscape. its not at all unrealistic on the level of just the idea itself that his creeping existential dread of who he even is and if hes even real outside of this dream hes now been forced into being aware of. begins to take the shape of an actual death incarnate in the memory zone. bc isnt that what it is to discover you yourself might just be a part of a dream - and a dream that could fall apart any moment if you wake up. That he might be already dead - or never even have existed in reality at all. like sheesh kid id be spawning nightmarish horrors into my dreamscape too
then i also just rly feel like. the watchmaker equals a nameless equals mikhail equals mishas grandfather but also the creator of penaconys dream but also possibly either the creator of misha or maybe misha himself being not only a diminutive of mikhail in name but Literally . as in a fragment of the watchmaker left behind in the dreamscape as the dreamer holding it all together. the LITERAL watchmakers legacy. like hhhhhhhh i cant stop thinking about thiss
if aventurines trying to take back penacony for the IPC does it mean hes literally trying to wake misha up to destroy the dream (tho he might be unaware of this being the final step as of rn himself)?? and the familys interest is obviously in forcing the dreamer to slumber eternally. but the one thing neither party might foresee is misha himself taking action too. which hes Already done if it was him behind those invites too
+ acherons comments when u first meet her? about the dream being doomed to fall apart in the end. it feels prophetic. ppl have theorized shes an emanator of terminus the finality which could mean she experiences linear time in reverse the same as her aeon. literally traveling from the end to the beginning in a predestined path. so if thats true then its almost guaranteed she wasnt making a hypothetical comment about the dream being destroyed.
she mightve seen it happen already.
man what the hell is going on in this planet😭😭

“With Trump’s victory, the left reached its zero point.
Before we plunge into platitudes about “Trump’s triumph,” we should note some important details. First, that Trump didn’t get more votes than he did in the 2020 election—it was Kamala Harris who lost some 10 million votes compared to Joe Biden last time around. So it isn’t so much that “Trump won big” as it is Harris who lost big. It follows that all leftist critics of Trump should begin with radical self-criticism.
We must dispense with the racial-essentialist cant that came to dominate progressivism in recent decades. Trump’s victory should leave little room for the tendency to valorize certain groups based on their skin color. Among the points to be noted here, there is the unpleasant fact that immigrants, especially from Latin countries, are almost inherently conservative: They come to the United States not to change it, but to succeed in the system. Or as Todd McGowan has put it: “They want to create a better life for themselves and their family, not to better their social order.”
By the same token, we must reject the notion that Harris lost because she is a nonwhite woman. No, Harris lost because Trump stood for politics and political contestation, while she stood for nonpolitics or antipolitics. She took many progressive stances, on health care, abortion, and more. However, Trump and his partisans repeatedly made clear, “extreme” statements, while Harris exceeded in avoiding difficult choices, offering empty rhetoric. In this respect, Harris is similar to Britain’s Keir Starmer, who just happened to have the great good fortune of going up against an unpopular incumbent party that had been in power for a decade and a half. Like Starmer, Harris avoided taking a clear stance on the Gaza war, thus losing support not only from hard-line Zionists, but also Muslim imams and community leaders.
What Democrats failed to learn from Trump is that, in a political battle, “extremism” works. In her concession speech, Harris said: “To the young people who are watching, it is OK to feel sad and disappointed, but please know it’s going to be OK.” No, everything is not going to be OK. We should not trust that future history will somehow restore balance or harmony. With Trump’s victory, the trend that elevated the new populist right in many European countries reaches its climax.
(
)
Here again, we should begin with a critique of Trump’s opponents. The philosopher Boris Buden rejects the predominant interpretation that sees the rise of the new right-populism as a regression to quasi-religious fanaticism caused by the failure of modernization. For Buden, religion as a political force is instead an effect of the post-political disintegration of society, of the dissolution of traditional mechanisms that guaranteed stable communal links: Fundamentalist religion—of the kind that fuels part of Trump’s base (even as he abandons its social-conservative commitments)—is not only political, it is politics itself, i.e., it sustains the space for politics.
Even more poignantly, it is no longer just a social phenomenon, but the very texture of society, so that in a way society itself becomes a religious phenomenon. It is thus no longer possible to distinguish the purely spiritual aspect of religion from its politicization: In a post-political universe, religion is the predominant space in which antagonistic passions return. What happened recently in the guise of religious fundamentalism is thus not the return of religion in politics, but simply the return of the political as such. So the true question is: Why did the political—in the radical secular sense, the great achievement of European modernity—lose its formative power?
(
)
Here, ideology enters the scene—not just ideology in the sense of ideas and guiding principles, but ideology in a more basic sense of how political discourse functions as a social link. Aaron Schuster has observed that Trump is “an overpresent leader whose authority is based on his own will and who openly disdains knowledge—it is this rebellious, anti-systemic theater that serves as the point of identification for the people.” This is why Trump’s serial insults and outright lies—not to mention the fact that he is a convicted criminal—work for him: His ideological triumph resides in the fact that his followers experience their obedience to him as a form of subversive resistance.
Here we should mobilize the Freudian notion of the “theft of enjoyment”: an Other’s enjoyment inaccessible to us (as woman’s enjoyment is for men, or another ethnic group’s enjoyment is for our group), or our rightful enjoyment stolen from us by an Other or threatened by an Other. Russel Sbriglia noticed that the “theft of enjoyment” played a crucial role when Trump’s supporters stormed the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021: What happened on Jan. 6 wasn’t a coup attempt, but a carnival, previously the model for progressive protest movements, suddenly appropriated by the right. The idea that carnivals represent a subversion of the status quo not only in their form and atmosphere (theatrical performances, humorous chants), but also in their non-centralized organization, is deeply problematic: Is capitalist social reality itself not already carnivalesque? Was the Kristallnacht of 1938 not a carnival if there ever was one? Furthermore, is “carnival” not also the name for the obscene underside of power, from gang rapes to mass lynchings? Let us not forget that Michail Bakhtin developed the notion of carnival in his book on Rabelais written in the 1930s, as a direct reply to the carnival of the Stalinist purges.
The contrast between Trump’s official ideological message (conservative values, of a kind) and the style of his public performance (saying more or less whatever pops up in his head, insulting others and violating all rules of good manners) says a great deal about our predicament. What kind of world do we live in in which bombarding the public with indecent vulgarities presents itself as the last barrier to protect traditional values from the triumph of total permissiveness? Or as Alenka Zupančič put it, Trump isn’t a relic of the old moral-majority conservativism—rather, he is the caricatural inverted image of postmodern “permissive society” itself, a product of this society’s own antagonisms, contradictions, and inner limitations.
Adrian Johnston has proposed “a complementary twist on Jacques Lacan’s dictum according to which ‘repression is always the return of the repressed’: The return of the repressed sometimes is the most effective repression.” Is this not also a concise definition of the figure of Trump? As Freud said about perversion, in it, everything that was repressed, all repressed content, comes out in all its obscenity. But this return of the repressed only strengthens the repression. And this is also why there is nothing liberating in Trump’s obscenities: They merely strengthen social oppression and mystification. Trump’s obscene performances thus express the falsity of his populism: To put it with brutal simplicity, while acting as if he cares for the ordinary people, he promotes big capital.
How to account for the strange fact that Trump, lewd and the very opposite of Christian decency, can function as the chosen hero of the Christian conservatives? The explanation one usually hears is that, while Christian conservatives are well aware of the problematic character of Trump’s personality, they have resolved to ignore his seedy dimension, since what really matters to them is Trump’s agenda, especially his anti-abortion stance (though he played it down this time around). But are things as simple as that? What if the very duality of Trump’s personality—his ostensible support for traditional morality accompanied by personal lewdness and vulgarities—is precisely what makes him attractive to Christian conservatives? What if they secretly identify with this very duality? This, however, doesn’t mean that we should take too seriously the images that abound in our media of a typical Trumpian as an obscene fanatic. No, the vast majority of Trump voters are ordinary people who appear decent and talk in a normal, rational way. It is as if they externalize their madness and obscenity in Trump.
(
)
This coming-open of the obscene background of our ideological space in no way means that the time of mystification is over, that now ideology openly displays its cards. On the contrary, when obscenity penetrates the public scene, ideological mystification is at its strongest: The true political, economic, and ideological stakes are more invisible than ever. Public obscenity is always sustained by a concealed moralism. Its practitioners secretly believe they are fighting for a cause, and it is at this level that they should be attacked.
Recall the sheer number of times that liberal media outlets crowed that Trump was finally caught with pants down, that he had finally committed a public suicide (mocking POWs, boasting about pussy-grabbing, etc.). Arrogant liberal commentators were shocked at how their continuous attacks on Trump’s vulgar outbursts didn’t hurt him at all, but maybe even enhanced his popular appeal. They missed how identification works: We as a rule identify with the other’s weaknesses, not only or even not principally with his strengths. So the more Trump’s limitations were mocked, the more ordinary people identified with him and perceived attacks on him as condescending attacks on themselves.
The subliminal message to ordinary people of Trump’s vulgarities was: I am one of you! This, while ordinary Trump supporters felt constantly humiliated by the liberal elite’s patronizing attitude towards them. Or as Alenka Zupančič put it succinctly: “The extremely poor do the fighting for the extremely rich, as it was clear in the election of Trump. And the left does little else than scold and insult them.” Indeed, the left does what is even worse: It patronizingly “understands” the confusion and blindness of the poor. This left-liberal arrogance explodes at its purest in the political-comedy shows anchored by the likes of Jon Stewart and John Oliver.
(
)
The problem isn’t that Trump is a clown. The problem is that there is a program behind his provocations, a method in his madness. Trump’s (and others’) vulgar obscenities are part of their populist strategy to sell this program to ordinary people, a program that—in the long term, at least—works against ordinary people: lower taxes for the rich, shoddier health care and diminished bargaining power for workers. Unfortunately, people are ready to swallow many things if these are presented to them through obscene laughter and false solidarity.
The ultimate irony of Trump’s project is that MAGA effectively amounts to its opposite: Make the United States another local superpower interacting on equal footing with other new local superpowers (Russia, India, China). An EU diplomat was right to point out that, with Trump’s victory, Europe should no longer act as Washington’s “fragile little sister.” Will Europe find the strength to oppose MAGA with something that could be called MEGA—make Europe great again—by resuscitating its radical emancipatory legacy?
The lesson of Trump’s victory is the opposite of what many liberal leftists advocated: Whatever remains of the left should get rid of its fear that it will lose centrist voters if they are perceived as too “extreme.” The left should clearly distinguish itself from the “progressive” liberal center and its corporate-friendly woke-ism. To do this brings its own risks, of course: The state itself might be divided between three or more factions, with no big governing coalition capable of taking form. However, taking this risk is the only way forward.
Hegel wrote that through its repetition, a historical event asserts its necessity. When Napoleon lost in 1813 and was exiled to Elba, this defeat may have appeared as something contingent: With better military strategy, he might have won. But when he returned to power again and lost at Waterloo, it became clear that his time was over, that his defeat was grounded in a deeper historical necessity. The same goes for Trump: His first victory could still be attributed to tactical mistakes, but now that he has won again, it should become clear that Trumpian populism expresses a historical necessity.
A sad conclusion thus imposes itself. Many commentators expect that Trump’s reign will be marked by catastrophic events, but the worst option is that there will be no great shocks: Trump will try to finish the ongoing wars (not least by imposing a peace on Ukraine); the economy will remain stable and perhaps even thrive; tensions will be attenuated; life will go on
. However, a whole series of federal and local measures will continuously undermine the existing liberal-democratic social pact and change the basic texture that holds together the United States—unraveling what Hegel called Sittlichkeit, the set of unwritten customs and rules that underpin politeness, truthfulness, social solidarity, political rights, and so on. This new world will appear as a new normality, and in this sense, Trump’s second reign may well bring about the end of what was most precious in our civilization.”
“On Tuesday, American men showed that they weren’t buying what the Harris-Walz campaign was selling. Donald Trump, liberal America’s avatar of toxic masculinity, won male voters by a margin of 10 percentage points to 13 points, depending on the survey. Harris won women, but by a much smaller seven or eight points. Men without a college degree supported Trump by 22 points. White men supported him by 20 points to 23 points, again depending on the survey. And white men without a college degree, those the Harris campaign hoped would see themselves in “America’s coach,” favored Trump by an overwhelming 38 points to 40 points.
The most impressive gendered result of the election has to be the response of young men. According to The Wall Street Journal, men aged 18 to 29 supported Joe Biden in 2020 by 15 points. In 2024, they favored Donald Trump by 14 points, an astounding 29-point swing in a single election. CNN found a much smaller Trump lead among young men of two points, but even this is a significant transformation. Democrats long believed that young people were their electoral Superman, weakened only by the kryptonite of indifference. If they could get these young voters to the polls, victory would be assured. This election just cast those illusions onto the ash heap of history.
(
)
In the end, liberal women in the media had the better measure of Minnesota’s governor. Rebecca Traister lauded Walz as an example of the emergent “Democratic man newly confident in his equal-to-subsidiary status.” Karrin Vasby Andersen praised Walz for “stepping back” and playing “contented second fiddle.” Alyce Collins acclaimed his “positive masculinity” for “showing more traditionally feminine traits” and “letting women take center stage.” Judy Berman echoed this in complimenting Walz’s “gentle form of masculinity.” Joy Reid dubbed it downright “21st century.” American women seemed to admire Walz’s masculinity far more so than did American men. Like those in 2016 who described Donald Trump as a poor man’s idea of a rich man, Walz proved to be a professional-managerial-class woman’s idea of a working-class man.
Already by mid-October, Team Harris was running low on joy. Democrats started playing hardball to close the gender gap with men. Barack Obama scolded black men in Pennsylvania for their lack of enthusiasm for the Harris-Walz campaign, explicitly accusing “the brothers” of misogyny. In Michigan, Michelle Obama tried to shame men with abortion rights, rebuking those considering a vote for Trump for treating women as “just baby-making vessels” and turning them into “collateral damage to your rage.” In the waning days of the campaign, the Democratic super PAC Progress Action Fund targeted young men with ad buys on social media warning them—in graphic terms—that their consumption of pornography and emergency contraception was at stake. Democrats were right to be worried. White men increased their vote for Trump at most by one percentage point. Black men added around 12 points, doubling their support from 2020. Hispanic men shifted to the right by anywhere from nine points to a shocking 17 points.
(
)
Americans might be consoled by the fact that, on the female side, the gender gap has actually shrunk over the Trump era. According to Pew Research analysis of validated voters, Hillary Clinton enjoyed a 15-point advantage among women in 2016, compared to 11 points for Biden in 2020. As noted earlier, current surveys for the 2024 race show Harris’s advantage among women down to seven or eight points. Men were also becoming less polarized over time. In 2016, Trump enjoyed an 11-point advantage among them, compared to two points in 2020. Some Democrats interpret the 2024 election’s return to 2016 levels among men as an undoubtable sign of misogyny. They would do better to instead see it as a reaction against those same Democrats’ attempts to scold, shame, denigrate, and manipulate men on the grounds of being men. Democrats don’t get to decide who is allowed to play gender politics; sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander. Turning the temperature down—way down—on gender politics will not only help Democrats in the future. It will help America as a whole.”

some thoughts about trolls 2 that came to me after watching trolls 3.
like...I get it had a big metaphore about how pop kindof takes over everything and forgets the origins of where those songs came from....and the contrast with how the pop trolls books said everyone started to not get along/became less tolerant of other's musics...while the space alien funk trolls said that everything was fine butthen the pop trolls wanted to take overand everyone seperated to protect their strings from the pop trolls...but I kindof lowkey wonder if it was a bit of both? like there werecracks were they were becoming less tolerant and in a poor attempt to bring everyone together the pop trolls thought pop was the best way like barb and poppy kind of did?
but I kind of feel like they gloss over that the pop trolls were isolated and separated from the forest or ways to meet the other trolls? them not knowing there were other trolls and forgetting about the origins of their music makes WAY more sense because they were isolated and being abused and eaten by the Bergens for ages.
So on one hand...I understand its a metaphor for how pop has worked in real life because its so popular and becomes a ear worm...but it also feels a bit unfair because pop always feels like because its so popular it gets isolated out on purpose....
like Poppy feels bd not knowing the true history....and that apparently the pop trolls history lied about a bad thing they did which cause the split......but I also cant help but wonder..wouldn't it make sense for the pop trolls to not have a complete history anyway if they were forced to all live in one tree/garden? if so many of them were being eaten/killed? did any of them escape and try to ask for help? wouldn't it make sense if they had lost a good section of their history because they were literally being harvested? and isn't that a bit unfair then to judge them losing/not knowing the origin of their music/where it came from under those circumstances? I mean were hear them calling themselves just trolls with not being aware there were other types....I mean sure they might not have expected how popular the first movie would be so he different genre idea was added later..and they found a place they could hide from the bergans and still stayed isolated til the second movie.
I keep wondering....did the others trolls know the pop trolls were being eaten by the Bergens? If they did... why didn't they ever try to get the Pop trolls out? and if they didn't why did they all seem to know what pop was and dislike it? if other pop trolls had escaped the tree/the Bergens on an individual case basis...did none of them rely to the other trolls about all the trolls in a desperate situation in the middle of Bergen town?
Were the pop trolls being punished for having attempted to take the strings before? we know that the Happier the troll the sweeter they taste aparently...and in the third movie just absorbing the talent of a pop troll seemed to be kindof addicting.....did the other genre's of trolls let the pop trolls stay captured because it had the Bergens stay around certain areas and not go out to try to find/eat the other genre's of troll...like some type of sacrifice?
like...I lowkey kindof wish we saw some of the trolls ask if there were other trolls why they never came to help them? let the pop trolls be the most consumed because they were the most popular.
also does anyone ever thing the pop trolls and their over positivity at times is a bit of a trauma response o trying to move on from what happened by not adressing it properly?
also does anyone else think maybe pop trolls are addictive? and that the Bergens were so sad and grey after the loss of trollstice because they were also dropping from with withdrawals since they had be cautious not to eat too many because it would dwindle the supply? and why it was only after so long without eating a troll that it seemed possibly to really address that happyness wasn't just something you get from eating a troll?
and why the chef was so insistent to get the king to eat one so she could make him addicted to it?
but also if the other trolls let the Bergens be distracted by the tasty easy to consume pop trolls then the Bergens wouldn't come after them and their genre of trolls? make a comentary about how we judge Creek for not wanting to eaten personally even if it meant sacrificing everyone else to the Bergens...but if all the other troll Genres sacrificed/jusfied leaving the pop trolls to the Bergens in a similar way only with the idea it was saving more trolls after all...I'm kindof curious how they would adress the morality of it.
I also have questions of the pop trolls had escaped the Bergens in maybe two groups(the one at the golf course who were also really isolated) and the ones in the forest...I wonder how certain pop songs made it to the other genres...like the rock trolls.
if some individual pop trolls escaped and would pop in every once in a while with pop music....it just goes back to the question did they ever ask for help?
I mean we know John Dory thought everyone had died/didn't know about the escape plan. Clay ended up with the trolls that got seperated/cut off in the other tunnels...but its unclear if he was the group that got separated or he came across them later while he had escaped the tree at a early point and had heard about the escape from viva....so seemed to think branch had gotten away with Granny.
Did the brothers just wander around andcome across the other genre's on their own? or did the info spread while Barb's tour was happening?
like...sure they couldn't find the pop trolls who has escaped for ages(even more due to the foliage and deadly nature of the forest...but Bergens are also huge..and they never mentioned the other genre's of trolls either...were the Bergen's unaware of the other troll genre's?

a lot of problems wouldn't exist if people realised that bad science is a thing. science can be done wrong. its very often done wrong, largely because the people making it have an agenda that they are using to establish and prolong hierarchy. this is in fact anti science, because good science involves trying to disprove everything until it cant be disproven. science thats trying to make a point is not science, its propaganda.
studies need large sample sizes and minimal biases. a lot of studies on queerness througout history have been trying to prove that we are broken. this is bad science because its not challenging itself.
the scientific method should function to eliminate as many possibilities as possible until (hopefully) only one answer remains. the point is to have an assumption that you try to disprove until you know its either true or false.
if the assumption is that homosexuality is a mental illness, then science should challenge the assumption to check if its true. by the scientific method it was found that the assumption was incorrect.
bad science is something people need to be aware of. there is a big connection between things like carl linnaeus's hierarchical ideas of evolution and modern eugenics. his science did not challenge itself. he knew that all life is related, but did not challenge his own assumptions about how it worked. now people are dead because he only challenged a small part of a book, not the assumptions in wider society.
science proves that intersex people are better off allowed to exist as intersex, but bad science doesnt give a fuck because that would challenge hierachy so many intersex people are forced to get sex reassignments as children (no this is not gender affirming at all, its specifically to inforce a binary. people who want to escape the binary arent allowed to, and people who arent in a binary in the first place are forced to join it).
we need good science if we want to have anything to back up equality. we cant go "the gender binary doesnt exist. why you ask? because i said so". we need to say "it has been repeatedly proven that sex is in fact very similar to hair colour, simply a collection of traits often in dna that results in a feature. gender is also proven to be a social role that different societies have entirely different ideas of. its not a real objective thing any more than disliking certain foods. its entirely an internal experience".
the assumption that dinosaurs are close relatives of lizards was disproven because thats what science is supposed to do. studies that find that vaccines are good are challenging the assumption that vaccines are dangerous, which are in turn challenged by other studies that find certain vaccines are slightly risky for certain people but generally still beneficial.
no one is going to believe an argument like "because i said so", and honestly they shouldn't because thats how propaganda works. society does the same thing when it enforces bigotry so you need actual statistics otherwise youre just pulling your argument out your ass.
it was scientific statistics that mean people can get the hrt they need. its scientific statistics that are why people were actually taken seriously when they fought for our rights, and continue to fight.
whether you like it or not, we need science if we want any chance of being listened to.

You’ve probably been asked this before but what’s like your fanfic writing process?? Like how do you end up writing your fanfictions?
i actually haven't but i'd be happy to talk about it!! i'm actually writing fic right now, so here's what i've done in the past like. hour. im gonna put it under the cut bc its EXTREMELY long but if you ever wanted 'katie's guide to fic writing,' here it is!
i'm pretty easily distracted, so i've gotta make sure i'm in like. The Right Conditions. that means phone face down or away if i can (rn i've got to be on call in case my boss needs smth but you get the gist) bc i WILL just open tiktok or play a mobile game. even just now writing this answer i have picked up my phone and opened pinterest. i cannot be stopped so i try to stay off it and put it down when i catch myself!!
more and more often i cant even listen to music while i write - partly bc i tend to read my work aloud to myself to make sure it sounds right and partly bc my brain will be like "you know this song omg the words are in your brain" or "you should go look at what song this is bc you kinda like it". cannot trust myself even with sound. if i AM listening to music while i write, it's either the specific playlist for that fic, playlists with the right vibes (ex: rivals-to-lovers for iwks), OR anime openings bc. less likely to get distracted when it's not in english tbh.
(huge on all of the senses so i also usually have a candle lit. im super sensitive to smells so if there's an unpleasant smell somewhere around me i will be unable to focus <3)
all that being said about distractions, i think it's important to take breaks - dont just FORCE yourself to write. that's why i'm huge on setting goals for myself - deadlines, word count goals, timed breaks. like "okay im gonna sprint write for 10 minutes and then after that ill watch some of this danny gonzalez video" or "i'll write until 3:30 and then i should go take a break and read a book." im not always faithful to my goals but i try my best!!
as for the actual writing itself, i typically just go for it. i can usually see an image in my mind and i try my best to write that out/describe it as best i can. and then if it sounds wrong i just reword it again and again until i've got it. this is kind of where my reading aloud bit comes in - if it sounds right when you say it out loud, that generally means it sounds right in the text.
sometimes i'll just have a certain scene or just scraps of dialogue and i'll write that out and be like "okay how did they get here." i never embraced writing out of order until recently, but now that i have. no going back tbh i highly recommend it. rwylm and iwks especially had scenes WAY later down the line that i wrote first. just write what comes naturally and go from there.
occasionally i do outlines, but not super often, and when i do they're vague as hell. i think a lot of my iwks outline was just "game" and then "another game but tommy is there this time." i think outlines that go too in-depth kind of take away from the freedom of writing so. if it's for you then slay but its usually not for me
i try not to worry too hard about. the style/grammar/little things as i go. of course im guilty of this and i'll stop and edit my own works along the way sometimes but i've found it's best if you keep writing and then go back later!!
sometimes when i'm writing a new smosh cast member i'll go back and watch videos/compilations of them just to reorient my brain. i've done this a lot with chanse recently!! but i also think. it really isn't that deep too NSDKFNKNK like these are fictionalized versions of fictionalized selves and so on and so forth so don't worry about 'voice' too much im trying to kick that habit myself
EDIT: oh i've talked about this before but. as for ideas/where my fic ideas come from?? i truly try to grab from my every day life. oh i went to the grocery store today? what if smosh member a and smosh member b went to the grocery store. i watched a horror movie and you know who else could do that. otherwise i pull from music/movies/tv shows/other media and be like 'this but for smosh.' i really just be pulling from my life and repackaging it thats all. start small (haircut fic) and work your way up (homoerotic soccer epic)!
and i think that's it?? i'd like to think im pretty chill about the whole thing. (read: i am not chill in any way at all but im trying my best.) anyway, it's something i'm always happy to talk about - thank you for asking!!

saying this here not to continue clogging the rbs of an almost 3 year old post but i do love the idea that andrias had the possession happen in front of olivia and yunan was to punish them for their betrayal... so like not only would she blame herself for it she might also feel like it wouldnt have happened if not for her (and sure it wouldve happened either way but being forced to watch makes it feel so much worse)
and additionally its not really as canon compliant but in laaauc at least she WAS supposed to be put under for the possession but andrias doesnt let them so that they can be punished by being forced to watch marcy tortured as a result of their actions and that REALLY drives in the guilt bc . if it wasnt for them it wouldve been painless. they only wanted to save her but they made things worse for her.
however in canon my idea for why she wasnt put under for it (or even even planned to. i cant really say she was kept awake for it to punish olivia and yunan when the chair is clearly designed to restrain someone whos awake for this extremely painful thing) is bc like. they need her mind conscious to really get in there idk. they cant just knock her out bc its all about her mind. but at the same time they still need to stop her from being able to resist. and torture works pretty well for that!!!!!!!
marcangst is eternal
Yeah I agree that it probably would’ve happened anyway but there’s no reason that Olivia would know that for certain so it leads to so much blame on her end. I hadn’t really considered Andrias being the one to force this but I definitely can see that due to how vindictive he is about betrayal (especially with what happened to Marcy at the end of tc, I’m imagining it’s more of a gaping wound now more than ever). The laaauc au angle is super ouchies wough

To be honest I had just assumed the chair was like that to limit her convulsing due to the electrical current? I guess? Not that a torture chair is gonna do a great job of protecting her from hurting herself further by flinging herself to the floor or something but at least she’s kept in one spot? Also probably would’ve been safer to keep her restrained while the data was being transferred, which I’m imagining is what the actual intent was.
But yeah what you said makes sense because she’s having her will broken by torture she physically and mentally can’t handle, ergo she’s less likely to resist in the future. Though now that I think about it, even if The Core hadn’t tampered with her memories I’m not sure she would’ve remembered what happened to her regardless given the nature of it. For better or for worse

Very interesting thoughts regardless though!

AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I read Chapter 4 of Lost and Found!!! ainsell, shadewalker, it was so GOOD!!! The despair? The desperation? The fragile burning hope? The feral instincts of Reader? The medical trauma? The wounds? The platonic yandereness?! AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH! (Not to mention the possibility of age regression being forced on the teens. Nice addition! Where did you get that idea from? I like it).
(And because of this gift, and because you mwntioens to like to crochet, I have news: I am currently making a plush! Only @crowwithguns and @sugar-soda know of who and what kind, what I can say is its a favorite character of everyone, and they're going to be a dragon!)
Thank you for your hard work! I hope you are doing well! Take breaks, drink your water, get rest, and stay safe! If you want to ask me any questions or want me to make small snippets for you to work with (like, say you want to ask for some additional lore or want to know how a certain platonic yandere might react), I'll gladly answer! (Only if you need or want it, okay?) Have a great day/night!
I always found forced agere to be interesting in a horror setting because on one hand autonomy is being taken away and you're not being treated like your someone independent but on the other hand if your not used to positive attention or affection it can feel good but then the guilt and conflicting emotions rise because this is not a healthy situation. You know it's not a healthy situation but why does it feel so nice to just let go and it's a constant battle of will. Not to mention depending on how long your in that situation when you leave you've got to figure out how to be independent again. There's also the others to get out as well which makes things harder especially with very powerful telepathy constantly running surveillance.
I cant wait to see the plushie! I've seen some of your other creations and they came out so well!
I may have to take you up on that offer if I write myself into a corner XD

UR A GRAPHIC DESIGN MAJOR??? no wonder why ur theme is so delicious (i wanna bite it like a cake) and kissable..... might send more questions since you tickle my brain....
you charm me with your funny words explosive diarrhea
.. ily
..
1. i can talk forever about this. beware of this fat ass paragraph. but most of my smaus start from a few random ass ideas, headcanons, texts that i find really funny that im like i need to turn this into a series
. and then they accidentally spiral into the shit i write. like dwmb started because i knew this guy that was an irl version of dwmb jake and i was like i need to put this characterization to use. i use a lott of real life inspo + text convos with friends tho. ive mentioned it before but the sword fighting wizard was a real guy i saw on campus 😭😭
2. hmmmm its a bit of a process but once i have a clear idea, i can pump out the majority of it out in 4-5 days when i have the time. and then rhere are certain chapters ill leave blank when i cant think of anything funny to say and slowly fill them out over the course of the next month when i force myself to be productive. its all in a huge google doc until its time to post the chapter, i have to make it the night before.
3. ANIME RECS my favorite show ever is bungo stray dogs. i’ve rewatched it like six times. recently watched kaiju no 8 + hells paradise and really loved those ones!! i dont watch a lot of movies. my letterboxd this year is so barren and empty
.. the latest one ive seen was me rewatching sky high
. love that one
EKK ty im glad u like my theme
. i tried to atleast make it look cute bc my ass will be keeping this theme for a long time. tumblr design shit is like the last thing on my brain 😭😭😭

honestly i agree about going for money in life cause rich ppl get to do so much but us average folk are like too average to have a lavish lifestyle as theirs. heck id even do music if i had any talent not just for money but the things these groups get to do nowadays versus what life was like before social media came about is a huge difference. sometimes its just a matter of being either too old or not young enough to do something like that nowadays as most music groups seem to sadly be getting younger and younger, i also feel like for those who have actual talent honestly id just go for it but theres always smth like age or different circumatances or perhaps not getting the right opportunities either or being somewhat limited in options. i do think life gets to a point where theres fewer options the older you are as its best to learn from a young age in order to succeed and gain that money. idk these are just my opinions you can disagree if you want.
so many folk fretting about fs and whatnot when they really never tried being single like theres not much responsibility besides whoever else is in your life and again honestly i do not think it matters if we do or dont date an fs. i think people were fretting about jungkooks fs so much lately bc they didnt want to be single or wanted jk for themselves and even if idols do date it would never make their fans happy for their idols which is sad
the fact its even called a dating scandal in korea shows how narrow minded it still is like what do people expect idols to be doing? dating rocks? no one? but i also think there would be some uproar regardless bc of who they are or their title as idols. like they can date a normal non idol but their fans still going to be upset that it isnt themselves. ahh well they cant win :( hence why in a way im glad im not an idols fs lol thered still be many cons or in general consequences. i do think idols are a bit more open minded in terms of other cultures and what they might want in their fs but their fans should accept its just never going to be them
sorry for my rambling and sorry for your loss too hope u feel better soon <3 ^^
Hello! So, I don't remember when I said "going for rich people is a good plan" or whatever but I mean there's points to both sides. To accumulate that wealth you need to be willing to put the hard work in, even if you marry into it. If you're a child of a wealthy family, you need to put in the work to maintain that wealth and legacy. It's a chain of hard work - I personally think you can do anything whether you're old, young, etc. It's just a matter of your mindset and how much work you're willing to put in! These days, it's mainly more about the connections you have and the hard work you put in. Social media can make you famous/popular, but it cannot single-handedly generate millions unless your life goal is to be an influencer doing TikTok dances 5 times a day for a living. I think learning certain skills (e.g. budgeting) are important and can help you establish that wealth earlier on, but you can always teach yourself. I have no prior experience owning a business, but the skills I learned throughout daily tasks over the course of my life have helped me to reach a point where an idea is starting to blossom into an actual product. And I agree, being single gives you more time to work on yourself to allow people to enter your life without the situation feeling forced. You get to become more comfortable with yourself, you make life-long connections/friendships, you develop hobbies, stories to tell your future friends, etc. It's a time to establish yourself and experience personal growth when you're single, not stress over finding a new relationship!! I think each relationship, friendship, etc brings a life lesson alongside it - so it doesn't matter whether that person is the person you intend to marry or not. Just enjoy the present without panicking about the future, that's the best advice I can think to tell everyone as well as my past self <33 It is quite sad, a lot of idols seem lonely. Jackson Wang is a prime example of this, he's expressed this loneliness a lot. Idols have the right to be happy without their "fans" criticising them for wanting a future where they have a family or just aren't dancing on stage anymore. That is quite narrow-minded, I think it'd be better if netizens and delusional international fans took a break from Kpop content for a month and got some hobbies, worked on themselves and enjoyed life for a bit. To an extent, I do pity some idols FS that I read for. They seem very closed off/introverted and would not do well if the relationship were to get leaked to the media, especially if their information is also leaked and they are a non-idol. I just hope they will be alright and fans will be more accepting sooner or later ! Idols ideal types may not always be the kind of people they'll marry - but they do definitely know what they like in a person. Fans do need to accept that the most likely case is that it is not them! However, the industry thrives off of parasocial relationships. It's fine, no worries! This discussion has certainly been interesting, feel free to respond to this via another ask if you would like to. And thank you so much :] <3
