so one of the reasons i don't like twitter fandom is because they make nasty jokes about dd's sex addiction. conflating it with hypersexuality or just being a guy when it is literally addiction. i was going to read in the realm of hungry ghosts anyway but his main point is how addiction is extremely human and every addiction works the same way in our brains. it isn't a joke. idk how you can know anything about addiction, and decide only certain people are more deserving of sympathy or empathy for their addiction. whatever. i know they don't. or they think they do because they do have some experience, and to them that means they can mock others for their addiction. they can joke about it. and it pisses me off because he has openly talked about the shame, how it affected his kids & family. about how he was robbed of anonymity in his program.

but none of these people listened until ga was on his podcast. ga, who has also talked a little about addiction, how she doesn't drink or do drugs because it was a problem for her. i don't think she's ever gone too in depth. and fandom is also always making jokes about her being drunk or high. or making fun of dd for his addiction. like that's just ugly.

these are real people, even if they're celebrities.

Not to sound like a person who actually cares about children, but it's so alarming that there's this tendency and trend of not telling kids about their medical conditions that are in their charts.

I'm finding out as an adult that they (though it's not documented who) diagnosed me with a life-long, chronic condition without telling me when I was a teenager. I found out recently when I got curious about my medical charts, and otherwise, I would not have known what's wrong with me. I've been left with more questions than answers, and I feel like a private investigator investigating my own damn health and life.

Is this medical malpractice? Yes. However, I think it also speaks to a broader point of how children are seen to not be entitled to their own lives in any capacity, to the point where they are (intentionally or not) made ignorant about things that are or will affect them.

absolutely despicable behavior from WB to plunder a fan film from 15 years ago just because their corporate greed led them to want to make their own (likely soulless even with PJ’s involvement) version with the exact same title.

UPDATE: the copyright has been released and the fan film The Hunt for Gollum is back on YouTube and can be watched. Though, it's still really telling of the capitalist corruption of WB and Hollywood that their first move and publicity for this (unnecessary) movie was to directly attack the fans for something produced over a decade ago.

Ghosts Tell Me

Ghosts gather near the place where something bad is going to happen,

Danny with his ghost sense tends to notice before anyone else and tends to react outwardly before the danger even happens, gaining a reputation of seeing the future,

Ghosts also tell Danny things, causing Danny to know more about situations and the people around him, it comes of as suspicious.

Danny pulling away a snack from his coworker: "Careful your allergic to these ingredients!"

Coworker: "How the hell...I've never mentioned that to anyone."

Danny on a phone call with his friends while doing his nightly walks in Gotham: "Yeah so apparently the second Robin who is now Red Hood has very personal beef with the clown here cuz he got killed by him after being sold out by his bio mom, which really sucks for the poor guy."

Oracle who has been keeping an Eye on Danny cuz he's very suspicious from an outsiders pov: "Hey B, I think we have a problem."

Danny notices that the ghost in Gotham tends to gather where something bad is going to happen, the more they are the worse the situation will be: *glowing smoke leaves from his mouth* "Yikes! Very bad vibes here, nope!"
