The Lonely episodes touched me deeply. Especially 159 and 170 (Peter and Martin statements).
I can quote these episodes and I know them very well but most of the time, I still cry or at least come close to tears when I listen to it. (Especially 170 - that one ends me)
The lonely as a concept in TMA and its characters are just too close to my heart and feelings. It shocks me sometimes and I don't know if I ever had a story, where I could relate this much, where I sat there in silence afterwards cause it hurts hearing those words that come so close to your own feelings, and yet you feel understood in a way, comforted by those (mostly) traumatic statements.
To quote Peter:
It was… difficult to accept, at first. Not because I didn’t want it to be true, but because it seemed unbelievable that any god could be so perfectly in tune with my heart.
This is my personal experience. But I love that everyone can find something in TMA that speaks to their core. It makes this podcast very special.
I love listening too tma in order because it's like

NSFW ALPHABET with Player 333 (Lee Myung-gi)
Tumblr media
warnings: smut and all things of the like, you know the drill! | not proofread | lowercase intended | these are my headcanons for this character, please be respectful even if my opinions for the character differ from your own
character: lee myung-gi (player 333)
A/N: my notifications have spoken, and i really wanted to write another NSFW alphabet so it works out perfectly, i apologize for the missing letters but i genuinely couldn’t think of anything for him relating to them, so for now they’re absent! i think people need to go a little easier on player 333 especially since all the players in squid game are far from perfect! like yes he’s a pathetic little loser but he’s our pathetic little loser. anyways, hope you guys enjoy!
MDNI! 18+ content under the cut, readers discretion is advised
⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘
A= Aftercare what they’re like after sex
↳ he’s no god at aftercare, but he’ll definitely talk with you about the experience or even just anything you want afterwards. he does enjoy a good cuddle, especially if its following a particularly possessive round of fucking
B= Body part their favourite body part of theirs and of their partner’s
↳ for himself, he really likes his eyes, mainly because it was the first thing you complimented him on. and for his partner? he’ll come right out and say it, he loves your tits
C= Cum anything to do with cum, basically
↳ really into cum eating, not gonna elaborate
D= Dirty secret a dirty secret of theirs
↳ cries during sex, particularly after being overstimulated
E= Experience how much experience do they have? do they know what their doing?
↳ he’s only slept with 1 or 2 people before you, and your first time together he definitely did need some guidance but neither of you minded really. he likes when you tell him how to please you
F= Favourite Position this one speaks for itself
↳ because he’s totally possessive of you, any position that he can be in charge is one that myung-gi can get behind. really likes when he can put your legs over his shoulders, or when he can hold your thighs apart in a straddle as he fucks into you. trust that he’s going all the way in
I= Intimacy how are they in the moment, the romantic aspect?
↳ he definitely strikes me as the type who would lowkey be awkward about intimacy at first, but when you guys get into it and he gets more comfortable i really do feel like he gets super affectionate with you in bed
J= Jack off masturbation headcanons
↳ don’t ask, but he 100% uses audio porn to get off
K= Kink one or more of their kinks
↳ possessive sex, spanking, choking (esp if he’s the one being choked), dacryphilia
L= Location their favourite place to do the do
↳ dk if this counts as a location but he’d be down for mirror sex
M= Motivation what turns them on? what gets them going?
↳ lowkey getting jealous turns him on. if he feels like he’s gotta prove that you’re “his” to another person, he’ll be fighting off a killer boner
N= No something they won’t do
↳ threesomes, again with the possessiveness, that would really stop him from keeping his cool at the idea of having to “share”
O= Oral their preference on giving or receiving, how skilled are they etc.
↳ he prefers to get head; absolutely drives him insane when you gag on his cock and when you look up at him with mascara running down your face
P= Pace are they fast and rough? slow and sensual?
↳ if he’s feeling more intimate, expect a slow, gentle + sensual pace. its completely different when he’s feeling jealous, he’ll be merciless as he pounds into you
Q= Quickie their opinions on quickies
↳ um, yes he would love a quickie, what a question.
S= Stamina how many rounds can they go for? how long can they last?
↳ his stamina really fluctuates, but not in the way you’re expecting. he can actually go a bit longer after each orgasm, but only for a few rounds. expect him to cum within 3 minutes of the first round
T= Toys do they have toys? do they use them on themselves? on their partner?
↳ dude’s totally a freak, he’s got quite a few toys that he can use on his partner, the most notable being a paddle (gee, i didnt know we were canoeing), and of course he’s got a fleshlight for himself
U= Unfair how much they like being teased
↳ he acts like he hates it when you tease him, but in actuality it gets him really horny
V= Volume how loud are they? what sounds do they make?
↳ he gets pretty vocal, especially when getting head or when he’s feeling jealous. will often refer to you as being his, and how “no one else can make you feel as good as this, you’re mine.”
W= Wildcard a random headcanon for them
↳ lowkey has a daddy thing
X= X-ray what’s going on under those clothes?
↳ he’s got a pretty slim build. for size he’s fairly decent, around 5 1/2 - 6” when hard
Y= Yearning how high is their sex drive?
↳ don’t kid yourself, he’s got a pretty wicked sex drive. maybe it’s all that jealousy 🤔
Z= Zzz how quickly do they fall asleep after?
↳ at the end of the day, it all depends on how tired he is afterwards, but if he sees that you’re still awake he’ll try to stay up for you
⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘
thanks so much for reading! as always, any advice or constructive criticism on how i can improve my writing is appreciated and requested! have a beautiful day/night :)

The Solas Problem:
A Lesson in Narrative Tension in DATV
This isn’t a Solas critical write-up, nor is it positive. It’s only an essay on how narrative tension works. We take Solas as he is here. Media Literacy 101 is back in session under the cut.
TL;DR: Giving Solas more screen time would have stripped Veilguard of one of its best parts. Solas.
“No real god need prove himself. Anyone who tries is mad or lying.”
We actually have two major problems with Solas right off the bat. The first is power. The power creep on this man is absurd. He’s been around for thousands of years and his magic has affected the fabric of reality in Thedas. He can kill people in their dreams. He can turn people to stone with his mind. The blight. Just…the blight. Altering the course of history is what he does best.
When we first meet him in Inquisition he is a considerable threat but not anything special for Thedas. In his reveal in Tresspasser he sent chills down my spine. In Veilguard he’s had years to accumulate enough power to tear down the Veil. If it had been a real fight with Solas in the beginning Rook would have been obliterated.
Even if Solas was an ally, it wouldn’t work. This is very similar to why Superman had kryptonite because he’s already overpowered without it. If Solas is around the whole game pulling Rook out of every fight, Veilguard would suck. It’d be so boring. There is no good way to deal with his raw power without trapping, severely injuring, or putting him to sleep or on a side quest the whole game. Put a pin in this, we’ll get back to it.
The second large writing problem with Solas is he is ruthless. This man clearly follows his own rules and he’s survived a long time against enemies many more times more powerful than the Veilguard. It’s why Rook and the team seem so “nice” in comparison. None of them would have stabbed their friends for the greater good. None of them could or ever would do what he and Mythal did to the Titans. Whatever his motivations are at any given moment are largely driven by his own sense of right or wrong. He does have one. It’s just not the same as us mortals’. Run afoul of his moral code and you’re dead.
I’m going to go on a bit of an aside but I promise it’s related. The first Alien movie is a good horror move, in part to a technique movies use to great effect. Tease your audience. The reason they don’t show the alien too much is because it would look fucking goofy. No matter how good your effects were back then, a human in a suit moves like a human in a suit. What that movie does really well in its horror is show glimpses of the man in the mask but not the whole thing at once. Let the audience’s minds fill in the gaps.
That’s what Veilguard is doing with Solas throughout the game. We know Solas is powerful. But the first time we see him it’s him failing. Then he’s trapped in time and space. We get echoes of what he can do. We don’t fully realize how powerful until you see him flinging blight back in Minrathous with the same amount of effort a regular character would use to shoot their bow. We get glimpses of his deeper motivations and foibles, but we don’t feel what’s it’s truly like to be in his way until Tearstone Island. We don’t learn about Varric until the wolf has already cornered us.
So why did they trap him?
Trapping Solas in a prison of his own design, where the key is regret, is excellent character work. We know Solas doesn’t see himself as the villain. We know he’s the type of man who thinks of himself as not just Elgar’nan’s equal, but his better. Which, maybe he is, but he is still a self-righteous man with rivers of blood on his hands who was ready to destroy the world Thedas has become in order to restore a past that can never be again. Solas is static. Unyielding. Frozen by regret. He won’t change to suit the world, he will change the world to suit him.
The examples used of how Solas could be dealt with work, but to varying degrees depending on how well they’re executed. Why matters as much as how. What the writers did was look at Solas’ prior character work and pick the best one to suit him. The way they executed this solves multiple problems at once, using the character’s own fatal flaw against him.
It’s a simple solution, really.

Until I found you ✦ Chapter 1
Spencer Reid x female!reader
Tumblr media
summary: you became best friends when both of you needed it the most. life circumstances separeted you, but once again, destiny reunites you.
genre: fluff, angst, comfort.
word count: 1698
warnings: NOT TOTALLY PROOF READ. at the very beginning the characters are underage. besides that, i think there aren’t other warnings. please let me know if i'm missing one :)
note: hi! i'm @evanpetersmybf but different haha. i've been wanting to write for my spence and i finally had the chance to. i love him. i'm trying my best to keep him on character! also, sorry if there are any mistakes, english isn't my first language. i hope you enjoy it!
1998.
A tiny spark of sunshine peeked through the clouds. It was winter, and even though the sun was out, the air was cold as expected. Every exhale left a white trail dissolving in the icy breeze. Because of this, the park didn’t have many visitors, only some couples, a few families, and Spencer.
He loved the weather and the atmosphere. The peace of the calm environment felt comforting. Being surrounded by nature was simply beautiful; the way the leaves swayed, the sensation of the wind hitting his face and reddening his nose, the feeling of having a moment for himself was wonderful. His hands were shoved in his pants pockets as he walked down the pavement. The boy was probably freezing, but he didn’t care—it was such a nice day and he wanted to spend some time alone.
He clearly needed a break. For a long time, he had been taking care of his mother. He deeply loved her, without question. Much of what he knew, he owed to her, but being her caregiver from a young age had taken its toll, more than he would like to admit.
After walking for about ten minutes, he sat on a wooden bench in front of a frozen lake. Just when he was about to relax, someone took a seat next to him.
“Such a pretty noon, right?”
Spencer was startled by the way you broke the ice. He never expected that someone would sit right next to him out of nowhere, especially a complete stranger. He pressed her lips together and looked around. Perhaps you were talking to someone else, although when he saw no one nearby, his eyes landed on you. Torn between deciding whether to respond or not, he finally muttered a reply.
“Sure. it’s mesmerizing”.
Seconds passed as you pulled out a small notebook and a pencil. You began sketching the landscape while you hummed a song: Man in the Mirror by Michael Jackson.
The man’s face showed an expression of doubt and curiosity. Why did you seem so comfortable sitting with a random person?
“I’m not trying to be rude, but do I know you?” As he spoke those words, his fingers were fidgeting with the sleeves of his sweater. He was nervous. What if you were a bully? Or even worse, a thief?
“Nope, we don’t know each other. But you seemed cool… And this is the best view of the lake. I needed it for my drawing”. You put down the pencil and faced Reid, giving him the sweetest grin you could. “Don’t worry, I’m almost done. And I’m sorry if I made ya’ uncomfortable”.
Spencer shook his head and his lips formed a small yet sincere smile. “It’s okay”.
Later, when you finished your art, you turned the page and sighed. “Can I draw you?”
Once again, he was flabbergasted by something related to you. It was weird for him to experience kindness or attention like this. After years of bullying, he wasn’t used to spending time with people his age. His Adam’s apple bobbed as he swallowed nervously. Eventually, he nodded.
You wasted no time and soon you made an accurate Spencer’s portrait. When you were done, you handed it to him. “I’m Y/N, by the way. Nice to meet you! You’re a great model”.
Reluctantly, Spencer took the paper with his slender fingers, his eyes fixed on the precious gift. He couldn’t believe someone had been friendly towards him. Usually, people mocked him for his appearance, his lack of social skills, and other quirks he had.
“Did you know paper was created in ancient China in 105 A.C.?” He was going to continue rambling, but quickly stopped, raising his hand as if to halt himself. “I… I’m sorry, sometimes I ramble. I’m Spencer. Thank you… For the drawing. It’s amazing”.
“Why are you apologizing? It’s always great to learn something new!”
The way you sounded so cheerful, so gentile, warmed his heart. People usually rolled their eyes and asked him to stop when he rambled, but you didn’t. This was new. So new that he didn’t even know how to react.
Nevertheless, you kept talking, and he kept listening, replying when you asked and when he had anything to say, and including some curious facts when he had the chance. Hours went by and you shared more about each other. You discovered that you were both seventeen, that he loved classical music and soap operas, that he graduated high school at twelve, and that he adored Doctor Who, Star Wars, and Star Trek. And that was the beginning of a beautiful friendship—a bond neither of you expected but both desperately needed.
To Spencer, you were an angel, an oasis in the desert, a warm blanket in winter and a refreshing lemonade in summer. He knew that he could count on you and made sure you knew you could count on him as well.
1999.
After four months of knowing each other, sometimes, he went to your place when he felt more lonely than usual; when it happened, he’d spend the night at your house as if it were a sleepover, or at least that’s how you used to call it.
Your sleepovers consisted of listening to music: The Beatles, Michael Jackson, ABBA, Queen, The Cardigans, Bonnie Tyler, Kate Bush, The Police, among others. It also included reading a book or tackling school topics you struggled with—Spencer was your human encyclopedia.
During one of those spring nights, you and Spencer were on the sofa watching Sabrina the Teenage Witch, your pick for the evening.
“Oww, Salem is so cute. I wish I had a cat”. You said wistfully.
“Did you know that if a cat owner were to die at home and the body remained undiscovered, the cat could begin to eat the owner’s remains within a few days? Studies suggest that this behavior isn’t due to malice but rather survival instincts kicking in once the food supply runs out. It’s fascinating—” Spencer blurted out in his usual rapid speech, but stopped info dumping when he saw your jaw drop and the look of shock on your face.
“I didn’t know that. Now I don’t want cats, thank you very much”. You replied, half-laughing, half-horrified.
The genius smirked and let out a small laugh. It was fun to tease you that way—it was common for him to say unsettling facts about random stuff to annoy you.
Afterward, you decided it was time for your regular music ritual. Your playlist included songs like: Boys Don’t Cry, Cheri Cheri Lady, Take on Me, Running Up That Hill, Lovefool, Creep, Forever Young, and so on.
“Why are we friends, Y/N? People normally dislike me… Why not you? I’m strange, I’m a weirdo. I don’t understand”. Spencer mumbled while Fade Into You by Mazzy Star played softly in the background. He was anxious to hear your answer. Deep down, he theorized you felt pity for him and that was the unique reason why you accepted him in your life.
“You’re special, Spence. You’re charming and lovely. It’s rare to know people like you, y’know? So smart and with so much to offer. And why would you say you’re strange? You’re Spencer Reid. You’re you. You’re an amazing person. And if being ‘strange’ is part of that, then I like it. I like you just the way you are. And you should like yourself too, Einstein”. You smiled and grabbed his left hand, intertwining his fingers with yours. “Sometimes I wish you could see yourself the way I do. I hate it when you talk poorly about yourself”.
You didn’t need to look at him to know he was blushing furiously. His brain stopped working when he listened to your enchanting reply. You were the friend he was waiting for since the day he was born. And he wasn’t planning to let you go.
When you finally got tired and sleepy, you drifted off on Spencer’s shoulder and he did the same, resting his head on yours. The music kept playing, and by the time you were peacefully asleep, Every Breath You Take was filling the room.
The scene was endearing; Spencer and you looked adorable and cozy like that, and that’s why your mother decided to take a Polaroid of both of you and made sure to hide it, so you’d never know the existence of that picture.
Months went on. The dynamic between both of you remained the same.
You were there for him when he decided to place Diana, his mom, in a mental institution. That was one of the hardest choices Spencer ever made. He would often feel guilty, that’s why he started to send her letters everyday, and also because he couldn’t visit her frequently. As a result, the now eighteen-year-old began to spend entire days at your home. He even spent the next Christmases and New Years with you and your family, until he turned twenty-one and he moved to Washington.
For a year, you stayed in touch via phone calls and letters, until one day he stopped writing to you and stopped taking your calls.
2003.
The last thing you knew about him is that he was admitted into the FBI as a profiler, and since then, he completely vanished from your life.
His sudden ghosting hurt you like a hundred stabs would. You persisted in trying to reach him, but after countless failed attempts, you gave up. Years ago, you both swore you were soulmates, that nothing would separate you. Now, it seemed like an empty promise.
Spencer’s reasons for disappearing were unclear to you, and at some point, you stopped wanting to know. In reality, he had done it to protect you. He was conscious of the dangers of his new job and didn’t want to risk your safety nor make you worry about him. He knew you very well and knew you would always be concerned about his well-being. He didn’t want to be a burden. Maybe he didn’t make the best decision, but if he had spoken to you one more time, he would’ve never been able to let you go.

Note
TAMA IT'S YOUR DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVE WE WANT TO SEE!! It's no matter if cultural values are different - because the story you want to write is filtered through YOUR lens, the characters are interpreted through your lens only, a.k.a. you set the philosophical/cultural context of your story regardless of the original context your source material is based on. If you use your SebxOC dynamic (you have already explained her background in your OC posts), the dual cultural values will actually factor in your story in an extremely fitting manner.
I would really, really like to see things your way, or even how you interpet a foreign value system in your story. This is one of the reasons I think you don't need to be writing in English! I know it is discouraging to know people are losing the nuances of your work by putting it through a translator, because there are subtleties to every language which cannot be caught when translated ('male' and 'female' speech, choosing a level of distance/formality, relation of the individual self to the mass public etc.), but please know we will try to catch on as well as we can! Don't dilute your work for us, even if you feel the need to - it's the reader's job to interpret the text, not the author's to explain it!
I'm excited to read everything you write - writing is never useless in a fandom. You never know if what you write is exactly what someone wants to read!! GO TAMA!!
Aww, I'm really grateful and happy to receive such strong words of encouragement. Thank you so much🙇‍ I want to write a novel about the charm of the Wizarding World and HL characters seen through the perspective and values of Sakurako, a typical Japanese person, and the dynamics of how a woman with Japanese values interacts with Sebastian, and as you say, I think that if I were to write a novel in this fandom, I would have to use these differences in values as a weapon.
And it was really encouraging to hear you say that I can just submit the novel in Japanese. However, if I take the time to write and post a novel, I want as many people as possible to read it, and considering that almost no one has read the Japanese novels I have posted in the past, I think I may need to translate the novel into English for my own sake 🥹
And because sentences that maintain the style of a Japanese novel will end up in English that are quite strange and incomprehensible even if I use DeepL or ChatGPT (mainly sentences that are considered more beautiful when omitting the subject, which is unique to Japanese, are a huge hurdle when translating into English), I think I will write Japanese sentences that are easy for machines to read, such as ChatGPT, and that clearly state the subject (and that are very strange and unrefined from a Japanese speaker's perspective).
Sentences that are refined as Japanese while retaining the unique nuances of a Japanese novel and sentences that are easy to translate into machine translation are completely different, and it is a very difficult choice to decide which one to discard. Should I post both the original Japanese version and the English translation? 🤣 Anyway, this language barrier is really bothering and bothering me.
If I had English skills, this problem would be almost solved, but I regret and feel ashamed that I didn't study English as hard as I could for the past two years. First of all, I'm going to start by writing out the lines that appear in HL's main quest line and Seb's quest line in English, reading their meanings, and memorizing them. 🥹 I have to continue studying art, and this is the beginning of days where I will have to cut down on my eating and sleeping time even more. 💪

All of this!
Two additions noone asked for:
The fairly lukewarm critical reception to TDW contributed to this, (...)
Though that had to do with a lot of things, none of them was becasue Thor „wasn‘t funny enough“ or „not relatable enough“
First, as far as I know teh script wasn‘t finished by the time principle fotographie started
→ That was also teh case for Ironman 1 and 2, and Thor (2011)
Which makes production a shitshow from teh get go and was one of the reasons why keneth Branagh was not keen on returning.
And while 1 and 2, and Thor (2011) turned out pretty well, that was more despit the unfinished script and less becasue of it
Second, as far as I recall, a lot of the disapointment aktually came from Loki fans who had hopped that there would be some working through a) The fuckt up famiyl situation Thor (2011) had left us with → After all the movies where marketed to the audience as interconnected so one could expect for relationships to evolve more intricately then they could in a stand alone movie
b) What exactly Loki had been up to, in the 2 yeasr since he went AWOL → all the audience knew was that he had at some point struck a deal with Thanos.
Now there was some agnowledgement of teh fuckt up famiyl situation and IMHO opinion it was rediculous to expect that Odin would apologize HOWEVR I did expect him to do some interrogation, since his reaction as father aside, as a king he should be interested what exactly his wayward son was up to in teh time he couldn‘t see him and where the fuck he got that army from and the infinity stone. But Odin clearly sucks as a king as much as he sucks as a father, so he had zero interest of getting teh detaillsof this tranwreck.
Loki is teh culprit, Loki is in jail, problem solved ...
→ Marvel made the classical blunder of assuming that audience knowledge is character knwoeldge
And sure, you can argue, that this is afer all called „Thor TDW“ and not „Loki TDW“
But the interrogation didn‘t have to take up more time then the scene we did get. Also, monatges are a thing …
It‘s not about allotted time, it is how you use it …
Chris Hemsworth clearly had issues with the way Thor was treated in Age of Ultron in particular and I can't say I blame him. His brother was the reason the Avengers formed in the first place, they're searching for Loki's sceptre at the start! Clearly Asgard is being set up as important in future and then...nothing. Thor gets to do nothing. Regarding that suggested importance for Asgard, he gets a vision in a cave which was ALSO cut down because test audiences are incredibly stupid and/or Marvel is incredibly stupid and didn't construct Thor's journey or that scene properly to underline it wasn't suggesting Loki created Ultron somehow.
I have argued before and argued again that the big problem of TDW is, that Thor and Loki never talk/yell/punsh/hug it out
That forcing them to work together via fridging Frigga, was a bad desicion, becasue it means there si zero reason for Thor to learn about Thanos or the infiniyt stones
Which makes it necessary for Bruce to akwardly spout exposition at the 11th hour.
Something that would not have been necessary if Thor had talked to Loki Again, Loki was clearly willing to spill the beans to Bruce of all people, I am sure he would have given Thor the cliffnotes version. It‘s in his own bets interest if nothing else.
If Thor and Loki had talekd about Thanos in TDW, then Thor could have told the Avengers about Thanos in AoU, which then would have been a much better catalyst for Tonies paranoia going in to overdrive.
AND would have given Thor more to do
AND a reason to leave half way through teh movie AND would have helped peopel without media literacy to not automaticaly jump to te conlucion that Loki was responsible for Ultron
etc … It also would have raised teh stakes significantlyin CW, becasu eof course Tony would want to close ranks, with a warlord waiting in teh wings
etc …
TL;DR Thor TDW was a very important movie in terms of setting up for future projects and did not deliver on that end much to the detriment of teh movie itself, the characters arcs and the overall arc of the MCU in, back then, present and future projects
I'm thinking in terms of actual real life experiences I've had when I say this, but I'd imagine part of what makes being a Thor enjoyer so frustrating in 2024/MCU's phase 4+ era is that... you're effectively not allowed to enjoy your favorite superhero.
I once had a conversation with a close friend of mine during a casual outing, and without going into very many details, this particular person is an enjoyer of Ragnarok, and enjoys Tailka's work overall. Now, I should say right off the bat: there is nothing wrong with these opinions. Everyone is entitled to like what they like and enjoy the work of creators just the same as other people are allowed to dislike them. For this particular post, I'm not here to get into fandom wars or "reasons why taika waititi is a terrible director" beef. I have other posts in line for that. But what I will say is that I already knew this about my friend, so it never surprised me when the topic of Thor came up that it would be a point of disagreement.
The issue I've found that continues to circle in the general space of "being a Thor fan" came when I expressed that I don't like Ragnarok, I do think Thor was funnier (and just better overall) before Ragnarok and therefore Taika's involvement, and quite frankly Taika had very little business taking on the mantle of director of a superhero franchise he has never liked or understood in his life just because he had mouths to feed. (There are other opportunities to fulfill that. And filmmakers know going into this industry that it's all gig-based and - if they're smart anyways - work around that.) I hadn't even gotten a chance to go through all of the reasons WHY I feel that way, of which I have had before compiled an organized list of about 16 talking points off the top of my head, so as far as that particular discussion goes... it didn't go anywhere. We were busy at the time.
But namely what I want to talk about is this:
The response I was given, in summary, was something along the lines of "well I think Thor was boring, and he wasn't my cup of tea, so I'm glad he changed."
But, you see, there's just ONE small issue with that: Thor isn't meant for everyone.
In fact, no character is meant for everyone. So why is it that Thor needs to change to be "for everyone" and be the MCU normies' "cup of tea" when no other character has to? Why does he need to lose his core identity (both as a character, as a franchise, you name it, it's been done) just because people like my friend don't understand him as well as Tony Stark or Spider-Man? And why should Thor fans have tow watch their favorite superhero get stripped down and turned into something completely divorced from the character, world and cast we were first involved with from the beginning?
Nobody at any point has been able to answer me that besides "well just because I didn't like Thor personally."
Iron Man won't appeal to everyone. Neither does Captain America, neither does Spider-Man, beloved as even Spidey is. They have their own quirks, their own villains, their own storylines... Every superhero has a core to them that their stories revolve around. He's from DC, but Superman, for instance, has the core of: love, justice and the American Way. Therefore, his stories revolve around challenging that core, and making Superman prove it. Steve Rogers/Captain America has a similar core. Justice, freedom and the American Way, is what I'd mostly boil his core down to. Thor's is "love" all around. I've written about that '(here)' in my post about his 2011 themes. Maybe it's different for other fans, but for me personally? I adore that about Thor. It's one of the many reasons I'm drawn to him over any other marvel Super besides Spider-Man. (not you tom holland ... yes you andrew garfield...)
So when I go to Thor for entertainment, I'm going to him above the other superheros because I want a story that revolves around HIS core and how Thor goes about reckoning with his challenges. I also go to MCU Thor specifically for his quiet, kind, regal nature. I come to him for his gravitas, his passion, his relationships with his cast of companions.
I go to him for high-sci-fi action/adventure, or for the "what if we took norse mythology and made it an alien superhero" route they took him in for the MCU. I go to Thor because he IS different from the rest of the Avengers... and that's the point.
So when someone says to me: "Well Thor wasn't for me so I'm glad he changed", or "Well I really liked Ragnarok because Thor kind of become more in line with the other Avengers"... they're fundamentally missing the point of why Thor has a fanbase at all.

I've previously seen people making fun of Mickey in the Rise of the Cybermen episode when he says "Go on, then. There's no choice, is there? You can only chase after one of us. It's never going to be me, is it?"
And, yeah I get it, it's a little bit funny because duh between Rose and anyone else the Doctor is literally always going to be pick Rose especially in that scene
But I feel like it was an intentional callback to Boomtown where Mickey tells Rose this: "Oh, go on then, run! It's him again, isn't it? It's the Doctor! It's always the Doctor! It's always going to be the Doctor. It's never me!"
Mickey's character arc is perhaps a bit more subtle than the Doctor and Rose's given that he's not a main character and we don't see him as often but I feel like a big part of those quotes is him becoming his own person and realizing his own worth and that he decides his own path if that makes sense?
I feel like it's him realizing he keeps waiting around and putting his life on pause for his childhood friend/on-and-off girlfriend while she's off living her life and changing as a person
Him realizing that in any universe Rose picks the Doctor and the Doctor picks Rose and maybe he needs to finally let go and find someone who picks him for once
And I love that the first time in Boomtown he says it bitterly and angrily and in a way that implies he's blaming her and the Doctor versus the second time it's maybe slightly annoyed but resigned and later when he's saying goodbye he very maturely leads with "It's just you and him, isn't it. We had something a long time ago, but not anymore."
There's no blame, no resentment, just facts. Granted they only had about five minutes to say goodbye, and couldn't pour their hearts out, but it's just a perfect set of two sentences that encapsulates his entire arc up until that point and how it relates to the Doctor and Rose
And in the end it hits me so hard that he decides not only to stay in a different universe but to stay behind to help defend it from the Cyberman. He'd helped them with alien stuff before but what a massive leap from computer/techy stuff to fighting for freedom and risking his life
Anyways I woke up to say that I love Mickey and how RTD's first era is filled with so much heart and incredible arcs for so many characters

Cinema Starview Presents: No One Mourns The Wicked
Tumblr media
Wicked is truly a sad story disguised as a musical about how being an outcast, being physically/mentally different from others and struggling to find communities of people who truly love and respect you for you uniqueness — can oftentimes lead those judged for their quirks, to accept the norms of being an outcast or deviant.
The directors choice for making Cynthia Erivo play, Elphaba, is one that sticks home for many black and melanated POC. We’re always judged, misconstrued and outcasted for our skin tones by westernized European beauty standards, and as someone that’s on the more lighter end, I’ve always disliked whenever people mention my skin tone in an appraising manner, because what exactly makes me any different from other people? Cause let it be known more about my personality, beliefs, and my own quirks I’d be outcasted too simply for being different. The colorism debate is one that is never ending, and sadly it won’t ever end, but this movie adds a whole new layer to the conversation about colorism and also the aspects of being physically/mentally different. I’m sure there are tons of neurodivergent people (as I feel myself to be, though I am undiagnosed) who relate a lot to Elphaba.
I’ve been so inspired by The Wizard of Oz lore for years ever since I was a child. While everyone was an Alice fan or liked other fantasy mediums I was always a supporter of anything related to The Wizard of Oz:
The Wiz with Michael Jackson and Diana Ross was and will always be a treat of nostalgia for me when it comes to the good times my grandma and I had together… I’ll never forget the first time I watched it too, had to have been right before or right after the passing of Michael Jackson, but man that movie has so many great moments for me.
Oz, The Great and Powerful was a weird one, but I loved it nonetheless, especially it being an origin story to how Oz got to The Land of Oz
Emerald City is a unique and short lived series that nobody has really talked about. It’s barely even regarded for much beyond brief talking points of cancelled shows, but it had a more adult approach to the well beloved story.
And with Wicked, I remember being a teen watching cute animatics like this one , and a few others that had me intrigued by the overall story of Wicked and who Elphaba and Glinda were prior to Dorothy. My own story Starworlds is loosely inspired by The Wizard of Oz and my two favorite characters I’ve been working on, Nollah and Maliya, are very much inspired by Glinda and Elphaba (as well as Blue and Yellow Diamond from SU but that’s not what this review is about lol)
I’m beyond inspired by the story they told and I relate so much to Elphaba’s story as an outcast. It’s sad that we all know how her story ends, but I can only hope that there’s some revelations to her story that we further explore in the second act of this film, coming next year ✨

friend got me the Battle Network Legacy Collection
Battle Network isn't my favorite series in the franchise, but I like it quite a lot and so it's been a lot of fun zipping through the games again and one of the biggest things i like about it are the redesigned takes on existing Robot Masters, particularly the way they get split into two components: a human avatar and a network avatar. a humansona and a netsona. a persona and a fursona, if you will.
one of my favorite things about shounen anime is that everyone has a fucking Gimmick. nobody just casually likes baseball--they also have to wear jerseys everywhere, scream all hot-blooded about the necessity of teamwork, eat dinner off of the home plate, and sleep with their bat on a pillow stuffed with balls. some people will say this is unrealistic, but those people have clearly never talked to a Pokémon fan. plus, y'know, that's what most kids and teenagers do: they find something cool and feel the need to bring it up at every opportunity, because they're growing and want approval for their burgeoning interests. meanwhile, i fucking love it when people are passionate about their interests and make it their entire personality.
so in my opinion, the best Battle Network designs are ones that lean into this and are complimentary on both the NetOp side and the NetNavi side, both of them coalescing around a singular Gimmick and leaning into it with the subtlety of a hammer. Dex and GutsMan.EXE are great because Dex is all in on "guts" as a concept, acting primarily with his heart and charging straight through, representing both an overwhelming emphasis on strength and his misplaced confidence in sheer machismo. Count Zap is basically the best fucking character in existence, both as a compliment to ElecMan.EXE and as a standalone villain, and the anime only made him even better.
there's the stinkers, of course. Speedy Dave is a complete nothingburger of a character, to the point where both the games, anime, and manga have completely different takes on him that head up in entirely separate directions, and with QuickMan.EXE having absolutely no relation to any of them. both Mayl and Roll.EXE suffer from needing to be The Girl for their dedicated character gimmick, as written by people who think that Being A Girl is enough of a personality trait to write about this year. WHEW. time to take the season off.
but there's always going to be stinkers. that's kind of the downfall with any long-running series that A: needs to consistently put out Moar Content and B: focus on character designs first and foremost and fleshing them out second. they're showcases to get you to engage with the gameplay, and then the manga/anime have to pick up the slack after the fact. it's like being handed a glass cylinder and then being told "make this useful"--there's only so much shit an anime can do with a glass cylinder, and they sure as fuck aren't going to make it a dildo.
i keep dropping the anime, i really should continue it and see it through further. it's not awful, just a very generic shounen most of the time; i keep wanting it to be unnecessarily overdramatic like the BN manga or completely fucking unhinged like Ruby Spears Megaman, and it really isn't that

Okay so I don’t have anything nearly as in depth to say but I do have some thoughts. This is more in general fandomness not just queer related media. So some context: This isn’t my art account but I do make fanart and societal views of the media greatly affect what I may end up posting. I recently became a fan of a kpop band and drew one of the band members. I was scared to post it cause of so many what-ifs and the fact that it didn’t get it to look quite right. But that’s beside the point. Anyway, when I went to talk to friends about if I should post it one of them pointed out some things I had never thought about. So kpop, anime, and other media doesn’t have a good reputation where I’m from though anime has become more accepted. My friend said “So you know how a group of women isn’t evil. But then when a group of women like something it’s given a bad reputation?” Something along those lines but they said it better than I could put into words. And I feel like this has to do with the “only straight women like this media”. It’s mysogenistic. And also just incorrect in the grand scheme of things. So many people like a variety of things but when certain groups of people like something people will attack it just using the basis “well these people like it so it must not be good”. Which, is just so odd. Why would a group of people liking something somehow affect the quality of media? Like I’m sure it would have some influence but not in the way that is used in such an argument. I want to go on more but honestly can’t figure out how to go on so pls add to this. (Sorry if this doesn’t make much sense, I’m not quite sure how to properly express my thoughts)
Now onto a different topic. So I’m a fan of very niche things and highly enjoy my corny cheesey little shows. Some of which I would recommend to my friends until they called one of my shows cringe. Which, okay if it isn’t your thing I completely understand. But it’s a show I’ve expressed that I loved and even recommended. Now if you want to call my show anything call it corny, cheesey, goofy, cause it is. It’s overly dramatic yeah but that’s its vibe. Cringe is so overused and just saying stuff like this made me more wary about what shows I offer people and avoid shows that maybe they would actually like. If you’re going to criticize something, don’t just use negative words. Call it what it is. If it’s cheesey or over dramatic maybe it won’t have that gritty plot line you’re looking for but it’s not supposed to have that. It’s supposed to be a lil goofy, it’s supposed to be fun. Yeah it’s ‘unrealistic’ but the characters have super powers so it was never meant to be. Hell even if they didn’t have powers sitcoms exist for a reason. (Rak Diao, my love).
Another lil tidbit I wanted to add on was just basic understanding of media. I’ve talked about this before so I’m just gonna copy and paste it but edit it to make sense in this context:
So I find I don’t understand everything. By this I mean I can take one understanding of a piece, look at the piece again and just be like damn how on earth was I so wrong before? It’s why I like giving shows a second chance. Cause I might of completely misunderstood what’s happening or maybe I never knew in the first place. It’s just the meaning I took at that time and now I’ll learn something else from it. Like something I might misremember or have a bad impression of I’ll go back and recheck and be like, yeah no I was so wrong. This is great! And vice versa, I’ll be like man this is so good, rewatch and notice things that are a bit iffy. And just go hmmmmm. Just enjoy what you enjoy and don’t be afraid to try things again or let things go. Also, a lot of things fly over my head in shows cause I’m not aware or conscious of everything and I don’t know all the experiences or relevant ties things may have so it’s always good to double check or get a second pair of eyes. (See I read an entire book thinking the main character was a boy. It wasn’t until literal years later I found out the main character was a girl. Did this change much of anything? Not really. But it’s an example and I still thought the fairy and main character were going to end up dating. Alas they did not.)
I hope some of this made sense. T^T
Putting my thoughts out here is terrifying, cause of again all those what-ifs. Anyway, I don’t know how to uh end my lil spiel so yeah. ( ̄▽ ̄;)
a question for QL fandom at large: when did we start only wanting media that is perfectly suited to our standards?
there has never been a perfect show, and there never will be a perfect show, because everybody likes different things and QL is run on shoestring budgets. i thought this was something we made our peace with as viewers of the genre!
so i'm just wondering at what point fandom decided that a show is only worthy of praise/fandom if it has no problems?
at what point did we decide that talking about the problems of a show is more important than talking about what we did enjoy and what kept us watching? i don't know when it happened, but it definitely has. critique is treated more seriously and gets more interaction than people talking about what they like.
it seems like a really exhausting and slightly puritan way to do things, to be constantly finding imperfections and treating them as more important than the good parts. dunno about y'all but i don't want to be unintentionally enacting puritan shit.
i want joy, i want fun, i want the spirit of camaraderie in fandom.
so, why did fandom begin to snub any media that didn't fit very high standards? and how can we steer ourselves away from that impulse?
(i am genuinely curious about why this is happening and how those of us who don't enjoy it can change, so please feel free to jump in, even if you are 'late' or think you only have a very small contribution to make to the discussion.)

Do you have any headcanons in regard to Cassius as a Grace sibling? Like Thalia's (and Jason's) reaction specifically?
Also just Nero's stepchildren, do you have any relationships between them that you particularly enjoy thinking about?
YES!!!! I have SO many thoughts about this. first and foremost, Cassius as a Grace sibling:
His age theoretically matches up with him being extremely young (about 1!) when Beryl died (cause Thalia says Beryl died about three years prior to TTC, at which point Cassius would be 4). Which relatively fits with what we know of the other Tri kids. It also potentially implies that the Tri intentionally killed Beryl and made it look like an accident, which is potentially very interesting particularly relating to Thalia and Jason's relationship with their mother and just Beryl's character in general.
Also interesting - Cassius would have been born after Thalia was turned into a tree!
I've mentioned before my theories about him being a child of Zeus or Jupiter, given his name being one letter off from an epithet of Zeus and his description comparisons to Jason (which could also lean into Cas as a Grace sibling!). I personally like to think he's somewhat symbolic of Zeus' childhood - being raised apart from his siblings/his siblings being taken from him before he was even born, perhaps his descriptions of being associated with having juiceboxes being associations to Zeus as Kronos' cupbearer, etc etc.
I think Thalia and Jason would be HORRIFIED about how Cassius ended up in the Tri's hands. Also just Cassius' situation in general. They both have very complicated relationships to their mother and the idea that they had yet ANOTHER long lost sibling? Who similarly up until that point had led a tragic life like the two of them and they had no idea and were thus unable to help him all this time? The DREAD!!!!
Once they find out about him I imagine they would, of course, become FIERCELY protective of him. They've both lived such brutal lives and this poor kid has already been through so much and they are going to do their darnedest to ensure this kid never has to deal with anything else like any of that ever again.
I also imagine they'd probably similarly worry over the rest of the Tri kids a bit, when it sets in that they've all lived lives like that. They're both a little sensitive to the concept of kids being taken from their families and molded into this idol of a child soldier due to Jason's experience so finding like twelve kids going through that (and one of them is their FULL BROTHER) is like a personal nightmare for them.
As for the Tri kids in general - yes!!! I have some general thoughts about the Tri kids [here] and designs [here] but some specific ones:
Lucius and the Artemis kids are bffs, for obvious reasons (Apollo and Artemis). I imagine they're both left to their own devices and encouraged to be a bit feral (Nero fostering analogies to the more wild and destructive aspects of Apollo and Artemis) so they've got a lot of issues, but they're sort of each other's rocks.
Besides Lucius, I like to think the Artemis kid's other closest sibling is the Poseidon kid (Cause moon and tides :D). He's pretty much the only other one who can get her to mellow out/calm down.
The Aphrodite and Hephaestus kids are also bffs. Intense solidarity between those two.
The Hera kid wants absolutely NOTHING to do with Cassius. I hc Nero generally tried to get the kids to replicate dynamics between the Olympians and have a few of them form little duos and such, so the Hera kid and Cassius get nudged together a lot. Cassius doesn't mind cause he's everybody's friend but Hera kid HAAAAATES it. She doesn't necessarily hate Cassius but she doesn't want to be forced into a duo.
Most of the rest of my thoughts for the Tri kids is just them being encouraged to replicate dynamics between the Olympians or the Olympians themselves and what effect that has on them.

random thoughts about run on, episode two
(please do note that this post contains spoilers so read at your own risk. this episode also contains scenes of physical assault/violence. if that triggers you, i advise you not to watch it)
i don’t know how i forgot to say it in my episode one post but the opening credits are so cute. i like the music and the fact they only put the names of the actors, not the surnames. makes it feel a little bit more personal
i’d like to personally thank seo dan ah for finding the perfect phrase to describe ki seon gyeom: “It’s adorable how aloof he is” 💗 if this didn’t happen in episode two, it would’ve taken me years to try and describe the athlete
i also noticed that the first time seon gyeom genuinely smiles is when he’s talking about running. you can see how passionate he is 💖 and the fact that he usually doesn’t smile makes this moment extra special
while we’re still on ki seon gyeom, i like his morals/ethics. he defends kim woo sik and is ready to face consequences for his actions (he had a fight with park gyu beok and kim ki beom aka kim woo sik’s bullies)
seon gyeom doesn’t want to let that whole bullying thing slide. he’s ready to defend and be there for woo sik, but it seems he’s the only one. i can imagine the disappointment he felt when he realized everyone around him knew about it but didn’t react and pretended like nothing happened.
the scene where both woo sik and seon gyeom are at the hospital is heart-breaking because it’s unfair how woo sik is the one to receive all that violence when he did nothing wrong. but also because he might face bigger consequences now that word got out 💔 i don’t know what will happen, but i fear for him :(
now let’s go back to more lighthearted matters :) one of (if not) the funniest scenes in this episode is the first meeting between seon gyeom and yoo jae gyu. i think it’s hilarious how everyone believes they will be recognized right away... and then you have seon gyeom who doesn’t know current slang nor people’s names lol seon gyeom’s come backs are always witty
my favourite scene was when seon gyeom and mi joo got drinks and talked to each other 💞
i was waiting to see how this show will depict being a translator and i am not disappointed. i felt that when mi joo said “Not a lot of people wait until the end to see my name”. sometimes, being a translator feels like that. you do all the job and you can feel like it’s in vain because not a lot of people notice it 💔
i also related a lot to the reasons why mi joo became a translator 💕 we do have a lot in common (well, except the appearance). i was also inspired by another translator’s work. i think it’s a beautiful job. you help connect people who would never be able to communicate with each other otherwise
the line in the movie that mi joo references is beautiful and encompasses the job (translator) so well : “I wonder who it is that lays a bridge between the two different languages. I’d also love to do that for a living” i mean i would’ve immediately wanted to become a translator if i came acroos that line
oh and let’s not talk about how being a translator makes her feel or else you’ll have to go through a 12 hour exposé of why she’s totally right and it feels like she stole the words out of my mouth
another great description of seon gyeom comes at the end of the episode from none other than oh mi joo, he’s “mentally strong” and i completely agree with that. he showed us how mentally strong he is by standing his ground on the bullying matter

Nor wastes too much time on self-pitty stuff. According to Teylan's text note Nor stopped connecting to Eywa immediatly after their first encounter with the flower in the Kinglor Forest, not after the Clouded Forest. It is already very bad for Na'vi to do so. He filled his mind with nonsense like "I'm not Na'vi enough. What our ancestors would think of us?" and etc. Bro, just do smth. Start to learn the Sarentu ways instead of whining all the time. Everyone seems to forget that Nor wasn't the only one who had experienced terrifying things because of RDA. Aha'ri gets shot right in front of us. Our last relative. And look at our mc. They've endured that shit, somehow. Moreover, they found strength to fight RDA, to unite the clans and honor the memory of their sister and mother. Ri'nela has found courage in her heart to be the spiritual leader. Even "humanized" Teylan tries his best to be more Na'vi, despite all that shit Mercer had told him about Pandora. They all have their own traumas. Still, these three doing great and to coop with the Resistance was the right decision, because it is not a matter of personal whim, but of survival. Together they are much stronger + other clans. This is the only way to defeat RDA. Nor must understand that the past cannot be changed, but the future is still there and it depends of what are you going to do now. He chose to kill Alma's avatar and abandon his friends in the time of great need. He didn't even think about what would happen to his friends, that they could be killed because Mercer was still out there alive and dangerous. He didn't think about the possible consequences. It was with this act that Nor disgraced himself in front of Eywa, Aha'ri, his ancestors and friends. If it were up to me, I wouldn't be so happy to see him again. It irritates me when Teylan constantly brings him up and tries to talk to mc about Nor. It's scary to think how much bad stuff could have happened to Pandora if it weren't for protagonist and the other main characters. Resistance humans including. Now it's funny to me even remember that when I first started playing afop, Nor was my favorite among the other Sarentu. I thought we have smth in common. I can relate to his anger, sadness and loneliness. I think in some way we all do. But my choice is not to take my anger out on everyone else just because they don't understand me or disagree with me. I have a feeling that the developers have already come up with something interesting about Nor in possible future. This is the case why I no more care about him. I'm worrying about our dear protagonist instead. So little is known about them it's ridiculous. The story should have been more focused on lore wise of mc.
Nor wanting to leave the Resistance immediately because working for them feels too similar to working for TAP. Nor watching the Sarentu PC meet Na’vi clans and encourage them to ally with the Resistance. Ri’nela strengthening the bond between them as the Sarentu tsahìk. Teylan tinkering, improving, creating tools for the Resistance to use throughout Pandora. The Sarentu becoming just as ingrained into the Resistance as they were into TAP.
Nor possibly pleading with all of them that they’re still doing Alma’s dirty work. That there is no difference between the Resistance & TAP. Humans are humans regardless of what they call themselves. The PC and Ri’nela telling him there is a difference and that the work they’re doing is good. Teylan telling him there is a difference but that he still misses “home”. Neither answer feeling satisfying.
Nor no longer being able to relate, to understand, to connect to the other Sarentu anymore. TAP’s original goal was for them to be ambassadors to bridge the gap between humans and Na’vi. The Resistance’s goal is the same. Nor is exhausted of working with humans. He’s wanted to leave since day one.
The only family he’s ever had for years says “no” for reasons he cannot comprehend. They are laughing and smiling with the humans, with Alma, as if they are friends. Nor begs them to remember the RDA’s abuse, it’s all he can ever think about. But they do not like talking about it. The other Sarentu are here but are slowly leaving him behind.
In a base full of humans, Na’vi, and Sarentu, Nor is completely and utterly alone.

do you ever read a fanfiction that just completely consumes your whole being? That´s how I felt reading Land of the Living by @captainbrookeworm . Honestly this fic has rewired my brain, cleansed my soul and gave me a new purpose for living, I´m not even joking. The characteritzation and the banter and plot twists and the reoccuring themes and the emotion and the humour and the awesome plot and the character dynamics and the writing style itself and just EVERYTHING about it is so so great, it might be one of my favourite fanfictions ever, I can´t recommend it enough!!!!!!!
There were so many amazing scenes that stood out to me, I couldn´t possibly draw every single one because then I would just be drawing the whole thing.
and umm... yes, needless to say I´m absolutely obsessed with this wonderful fic and will be reading it for a third time now, byeeeeee

When you're one of the most selfish mc who only saves people because it's part of a job you never wanted and did not get to chose or you would've died, who took your co-workers' morals and ideals because you didn't have any and desperately wanted to fit in somewhere, be it with the heroes or the villains, who's activelly haunted by one the most tragic past to have been created and suffer from a psychosis so bad (dare I say schizophrenia) that even your enemies acknowledged that you are mentally ill and objectively flawed in your judgement, never hesitated to try to kill anyone and has the most egoistic reason to be a good person but the fandom still thinks you're just a kind crybaby "I don't know what a gun is" homosexual twink.

#him being refered as an angel by Shibuzawa is FUCKING IRONIC !!#ASAGIRI IS ALWAYS IRONIC WHEN IT COMES TO LIGHT NOVELS CENTERED AROUND ATSUSHI#Ex : The plot of 55min being parallele to the Decay of Angels arc#He's also called the Man-eating tiger and yes I do think that Dazai lied to him when he said he never ate anyone to preserve his psyche#and was also called “the man who can see the future” and has time travelled with Akutagawa like why aren't we talking about that#his relationship with Mori is also actually good#Mori is one if not the only character who saved and helped Atsushi during their first meeting and kept good contacts with him#because yes Atsushi has seen Mori knowing that he was the pm boss off-screen and they had a normal exchange#I also think that Shibuzawa Atsushi and Fyodor are connected to a form of Holy Trinity#Believer/God/Angel or Messenger#Joseph/Jesus/Mary#or Fyodor and Atsushi as Jesus and Judas#but the instance of trinity in bsd are dare I say extreme#Oda/Ango/Dazai#Sigma/Fyodor/Nikolai#Atsushi/Akutagawa/Kyoka#and so on#and the whole situation around his ability which is unlike any other#It turns him into Byakko (her own being) (similar to Natsume) and nullify his wounds no matter how lethal (similar to Dazai and Yosano)#and enhance him even with his ability off making him constantly stronger than other characters and dare I say equal to the hunting dogs#yk the MODIFIED humans#and the plot of both 55mins and Dead Apple being around abilities and giving us Atsushi lore make me think that Atsushi and Byakko are 1/2#probably a sort of higher being since some abilities are very religious centered (how Fyodor sees abilities and Shibuzawa) 2/2#but I think it would lend toward a “sinner” position which would be crazy because that Atsushi would then probably be the reason why Fyodor#hates abilities so much if Atsushi and Byakko are somehow be connected to the “sin” of abilities#and so you guys know Atsushi's orphanage was a church so yes he's related to christianity#and the Decay of Angels is LITTERALY full of religious people to different degrees#and it would be ironic (once again) if the antagonists were the “Angels” and the protagonist a demon#I just realized that I did a lot of typos sorry I got too excited#but yeah keep calling bsd bad written (we're on barely chap.115 no good manga was finished by chap.115 guys just wait for the rest to drop)
