π•Žπ•’π•ͺ𝕀 β„‚π•™π•£π• π•Ÿπ•šπ•” π•Šπ•₯𝕣𝕖𝕀𝕀 β„™π•£π•–π•§π•–π•Ÿπ•₯𝕀 𝔽𝕒π•₯ 𝕃𝕠𝕀𝕀 Follow @melsbodysquad Repost @marcinevin ⁣⁣ If fat loss or a better body composition is your goal, there are 2 main things you must prioritize.⁣ ⁣⁣ 1️⃣Creating and maintaining a calorie deficit.⁣ 2️⃣Building, or at least maintaining, your muscle mass.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Trouble is, if you’re always stressed, doing so will be more difficult.⁣ ⁣ Definitely not impossible, but I know you want the process to go as smoothly and quickly as possible.⁣ ⁣ But time and time again, chronic, unmanaged stress is by far most common reason I see for someone not getting results.⁣ ⁣ While some stress is totally normal, and in small doses is even helpful, when left unmanaged it causes many problems.⁣ ⁣ All of which will make it harder to lose body fat.⁣ ⁣⁣ If your stress bucket is overflowing, your body will be pumping out too much cortisol. This increases hunger and cravings, impacts hunger and fullness cues, disrupts sleep, messes with hormones, and makes you hold onto water.⁣ ⁣ Hormonal imbalances can also cause your body to burn fewer calories and store fat in all of the places you don’t want it, like your belly and hips.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Additionally, your motivation to hit the gym will decrease, and your body won't recover as well from workouts. Not good if you're wanting to build or maintain your muscle.⁣ ⁣⁣ If you want to make progress, you've must find ways to get your stress under control.⁣ ⁣ Even if just for 5 minutes, create some space for yourself to relax and unwind.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Short meditations, deep breathing, walks in nature, and laughing are all super simple ways to reduce stress that don’t require much time but can have a huge payoff for your health, happiness, and body composition goal.⁣ ⁣⁣ What do you feel is your biggest source of stress? @mandsireland Making my life easier! πŸ’šπŸ’šThis #glutenfree chicken and pasta salad is PERFECT for when you're on the go. 🌱 I remember a couple of years back I had a banana and chocolate bar in my bag for when I was going out shopping etc and feeling horrible when your friends wanted to eat somewhere and you couldn't, there was such anxiety around any trip regardless of how short a trip it was. 🌱 Now I have endless options, sometimes it's difficult deciding what I will get because there's so many places like @marksandspencerfoodpr offering #healthy gluten free options. Super good for your #mentalhealth πŸ’†πŸ» 🌱 M&S have a small gf section where they have bread/ biscuits etc BUT if you go around the fridges and freezers you will find TONNES of amazing gluten free food, look out for the green packaging like in this photo.
