WHAT A MONTH. and here we are, at the end of it. somehow. obligatory "congrats for surviving february" to you all. it was certainly hectic for me, but I crawl on. we all crawl on.
also, yes, my cat decided to use my tablet as a sleeping pad every single time I sat down so we were dealing with some obstacles along the way. you know how it is with cats. (she was rewarded handsomely for allowing me to use her sleeping pad to draw, don't worry.)

#my art#mission to zyxx#C-53#pleck decksetter#dar mtz#ok time for some of my appearance headcanons#i was just gonna give c little dot eyes but i was goofing around with the doodle#and i was like. oh actually little light up ocular sensors that look like 👁️👁️ are kinda funny#i'm kinda trying to hit the space where the juck bot frame could conceivably have the same inner workings as the c frame#but it's got more like. idk plating and synthetic skin and stuff#i also think that ideally this type of frame is supposed to be more fully covered? with skin. less visible joints#and is supposed to have a cooler better looking face#but they got it at a discount store that sorta refurbished it juuuuuuust well enough to sell#they also mention in the show that the eyes glow and the jaw comes off#if there were any other details i forgot about them#i like tellurians to be Pretty Much Human#but I do like the pointy ears interpretation for one main reason:#i can put perfect little pointy ones on tellurians that are the Standard for good looks (rolphus etc.)#and give pleck ones that are slightly larger and a little bent. i just think that's fun#i'm also a short pleck truther and do not believe he is skinny. that man is at least midsized. actually probably just midsized#cause if he were too big he would be too cool#ohh and first time drawing the k'hekk eye yayyyy. it should probably be nastier but i can only do so much#dar i really imagine round cause it's like the classic Big Guy shape and they have no bones in their head so it can't be that structured#bodywise my design is def inspired by tikkitronictonic and snuffysbox's designs#i was at a total loss on how to interpret the talons and chutes and flaps when I was listening and this is easy and smooth#maybe the only major difference is that i imagine dar is pretty hygienic and furry scales feel like they'd be hard to keep clean#with all the uh. goings on#so i've got those across the chest and arms and then the torso is smoother in my mind#also ik dar is supposed to be like twice pleck's size but it's hard to stand these people next to each other#my brother said they made up a thing called mass shifting in transformers g1 to excuse the scale issues. so i'll do it too. get off my case

between joanns going under and firefox's stupid data decisions, it truly feels like my hobbies, my sources of joy, are going under and getting compromised. I have 2 things going for me: my little crafts and my computer stuffs. To have a major part of both of them get hit so badly, I am completely devastated. I didn't even get to fully accept the joanns closure before getting hit in the face with this firefox bullshit. I've been using firefox for over 15 years, since middle school when the whole game was firefox vs. opera vs. chrome. I've been a huge proponent of firefox, in part for browser diversity but also just the superior browsing experience (for my needs). Since middle school. And I had a feeling they might pull the rug, I was sortof eyeing some of the firefox forks as a backup plan, but man. The timing. And joanns going before I could even break out my sewing machine. Devastating. I had so much hope for life letting me enjoy things a year ago. I almost had my place organized so that I could do the things I enjoy. But grandmother died, sister moved back in, my dad moved across the country in his little car leaving me with half his stuff, big fires, disaster at work giving me so so much to clean up on top of my regular duties. At some point in January I gave up in cleaning out/organizing my apartment. Every few days, the mess irks me enough that it gets under my skin and I have a meltdown. But otherwise I try to ignore it. I'm so tired. I need at least a week off to fix it (and spring break next month is not gonna count bc I'm gonna have non-work things I need to take care of then). I actually just remembered now in this moment typing this that I was looking to find a new therapist in late january (before my work disaster). Oops. Not happening I guess. I can't even clean up my house to make space for my sewing machine, so the futile work for finding a therapist is most certainly out of the picture. Welcome new depressive funk, grief is an old friend, familiar. Or maybe grief is more like the mess on the kitchen counter, because it always seems to come back before I have a chance to properly wipe it away.
#my insomnia keeps flaring up randomly some nights#I don't think it's total coincidence#I've been meeting up with a friend more lately and installed linux on someone else's computer at their request and that is all that I have#going for me right now. at least in terms of positive things#my sister still doesn't have a job (nor do I think she applied to anything)#so I have no alone time. still. basically at all#I'm at work an hour or more longer than I want or plan to be#I've been noticing avoidance in thinking bc I know if I sit and think I will spiral or explode or break down#ANYWAYS#I tried installing a bunch of firefox forks and will test them over the weekend#bc it will occupy my brain enough that I can't dwell on the horribleness of life rn#hated zen its interface was a bit TOO simplistic for me#librewolf was ok but I really need to implement syncing for my bookmarks and that seems hard to do#I'll try it though#it's looking like it'll either be floorp or firedragon#I like the customizability#I might use a combo of those on my different devices but let's see#I don't know if I like or hate the name floorp it's dorky. and the icon is not as fun as firefox or the others :(#my distro's repo didn't have waterfox and I don't care to chase it- might use it on phone since the other forks don't have an android app#this is not a vent blog

feeling kinda lightheaded but the world is okay I have only a few simple Night Chores ahead of me and, most importantly, I have so many leftovers in my fridge that it's almost stressful (👍)
#like I'll have to make Decisions about what to eat tomorrow#rather than be like these are the 3 meals i can have because these are the 3 foods i have prepared#i have. let's see#2 servings of roasted veggies left#probably 2 servings of cucumber salad#2 big mason jars of pasta (4 servings if i eat them with the veggies on the side...so many 3 total since i have 3 veggies?)#4 big mason jars of miso soup (4-5 servings)#OH and i made tempeh and onions so like 4 quesadillas' worth#...AND the matcha bread rolls i just baked. FUCK I HAVE SO MUCH FOOD#ah i made a numbers typo earlier in my pasta tag but im not redoing that all#suffice to say i am- WAIT FUCK i left half a block of cheese and some trail mix at work so i could have that for tomorrow#fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck how did i end up with so much food#obviously a very 😳 problem to have but also i hope none of it goes bad lol#the veggies/pasta are the oldest so i gotta make sure to finish those off first...#everything else is from the past couple days (minus the cheese/trail mix but that'll keep)#after that the cucumber salad will probably degrade the quickest#ok yeah i should be fine as long as i take care of those things quickly

professor admitted he's reading every section of everyone's coursework paper individually (all the intros at once, all the method sections at once, etc) so won't know which corresponds to which. i'm trying to stop repeating myself so much in papers but now i'm having to make sure everything is justified/explained in every section because someone can't be arsed to read a piece of work as it's meant to be read
#bold move from a man who's linked a million papers to 'help' with this coursework#and they're all written by him#if i'm forced to read all of his boring work then why shouldn't he read mine#i know he's got a markscheme that goes by section but it feels odd to not be reading them one after the other#since every student is going to have done something different in their simulations#he said he marks by section so it's easier to 'compare them' ok. are we marking on a curve now#shouldn't be#i'll be stubborn and use my ieee conventions for a mechanical engineering paper so maybe he'll see my sections among the others#and think Oh#this electronic engineer who i forgot was in my module.#(because he keeps assuming we'll all know certain mechanics concepts)#hence he'll remember what i've written before#and take in my whole paper AS A WHOLE#tbh i think he just shouldn't have admitted he reads them like that#would save me a lot of stress
