like right now as you watch your boyfriend talk to a very pretty girl at the bar. the same girl he'd been talking to for the last fifteen minutes. aoife molloy. she went to school with you and joey. you never really talked much to her but always got the vibe that she was a perfect shining star, that everyone loved.

example number one; your boyfriends smile right now.

he's smiling brightly at aoife, chatting away while he gets drinks for the both of you, laughing at whatever things she says. the feeling starts to build in your gut, one you desperately try to shove down because its the worst feeling ever.

and you see them too. the slight touches from aoife on joey's arm. fucking hell you're going to need several drinks if this is how tonight is going to go.

aoife's loud laugh breaks through your thoughts and draws your attention - not that you weren't already looking at them - back to her. joey's eyes are alight and you feel a ping of sadness and two ugly emotions you definitely don't like; insecurity and jealousy.

pushing away all thoughts, you decide on getting your mopey ass a drink instead cause clearly someone else can't do that. standing up you make your way over to the bar and just to be petty you slip in next to joey and aoife and call out to the bartender ordering your drink.

joey hears your voice and his head instantly snaps around to you. "y/n, hey baby i was just getting us some drinks," he says with a small grin.

"we were talking about you." he presses another kiss to your cheek, "aoife had brought up how grumpy you looked and we got caught up talking about you." he presses a kiss to the other cheek.

"yes you, my grumpy little bug." he presses a soft kiss on your lips.

To answer the actual OC question more directly tho-

Finze's usually well off in whatever universe/AU he's in, tho it varies. Sometimes he's more self-made financially successful, like in CoB, and not RICH RICH, but he's living comfortably! Other universes/AUs... he's like Claude and comes from MONEY and is living lavishly (He's not Luis' estranged bastard son in these versions).

Nine, at least in CoB, is a pretty successful underground artist. I don't think under normal circumstances, he'd be making a killing, but he'd be making a living at least, but unfortunately his medical bills push him more into the "struggling" category before Finze comes along.

As for how much he tells Finze- That's been something he's opened up more about as their relationship went on. Nine could probably get a lot of financial help from his fans if he was open about his conditions, but he's very stubborn about not being a charity. However, he's started to realize Finze's support is...a very big sign of love from someone who really struggles to show his affection and care. Being so willing to take care of him in this way is almost part of Finze's very quiet love language, so he's become more and more open to accepting Finze's help to the point they eventually get married and Finze is legally included in all his medical finances.

If I'm entirely honest, even if I get that all fandoms love angst, I find it kinda tiring, especially when it comes to MCRP, because I got into MCRP partly to get away from the angsty shit. And that's still what I tend to want from it, and it feels like the perfect medium for more lighthearted and tongue-in-cheek stuff, because it's so inherently goofy lbr, but I guess people just love angst so much that they just gotta make everything about the angst

Not that I can't appreciate the angst too, sometimes, but there's been so much of it on QSMP lately. This is what frustrated me about DSMP too, when it just kept getting angstier and angstier and bleaker and bleaker...

I mean it's not that I think ALL MCRP has to be lighthearted, I would never wanna arbitrarily limit any medium like that, it's mostly just me being frustrated with the general tendency where I get into some series because it's funny and lighthearted but also has a cool story going on, and then inevitably it ALWAYS seems to get super angsty and often lose the things that made it appealing to me in the first place. I used to get this a lot with webcomics and now I'm getting it with MCRP

Jungryeok's introduction yesterday was a breath of fresh air tbh, didn't need to worry about any of the angst for several hours, just people chilling and having fun (even tho I was kind of overwhelmed too lol)

I'd like to enjoy Phil's streams the same way, and he does generally do his best to keep things lighthearted (even when it's his own angst he tends to not take it very seriously), but the angsty storylines keep intruding on his chill vibes too, you can't chill when you know what's actually going on in other POVs

(also the FOMO is too strong, I ended up watching Bagi and Tubbo instead of Phil yesterday because I wanted to know what happened and then I also kept checking in on Bad's POV when I realised he was live etc. I know that's my own fault, I should just not watch them when they're being angsty if I don't want angst but I still care about the characters and the story orz)

(And I want to check the tags on Tumblr and I want to see what other people are posting about QSMP, but the angst is even more impossible to avoid in fandom spaces, also it makes you very conscious about how people feel about Phil and his character so then you're even more stressed out when you watch his streams because any time he says something because he doesn't know any better or because he's assuming that the server is primarily meant for fun and not to be taken overly seriously, you know people are gonna rant about it, and then you have to once again quarantine yourself from the fandom to avoid being annoyed, which is boring)

It's the same problems I had with DSMP...

But at the same time I can't get the multilingual experience on Hermitcraft, I remember the other day seeing Iskall and Keralis talk and I found myself wondering for a second why they weren't speaking Swedish to each other (dw I did realise it very quickly lol) because I'd gotten so used to seeing people switching languages based on who they were talking to

The language stuff is 100% what I would miss the most if I dropped QSMP

I mean I would miss the roleplay too, I do enjoy the roleplay. And the eggs. And the characters in general. But yknow, there's other roleplay series out there, the multilingual aspect is harder to find

OMG OKAY OKAY SO I HAD A “WHAT IF” MOMENT FOR SOME TIME NOW AND I COULDN’T KEEP IT IN ANYMORE I JUST NEED TO LAY IT OUT ON YOU TO SEE WHAT YOU’D THINK ABOUT IT.

Here goes:

So what if, by some inconvenient (and also unlucky) situation, Hime ends up being the one to eat one of Sukuna’s fingers instead of Yuji? (Dw Yuji would still get enrolled to Jujutsu High cuz he’d be recognized and recommended by Megumi for his freakishly immense strength and agility. I can also see Yuji getting enrolled even when he wouldn’t have Sukuna with him since Kenjaku did say that Yuji being Sukuna’s vessel wasn’t his main purpose).

Like Hime would be in a very extreme fight against an unregistered curse on her own and she’d be severely wounded from the battle (this would happen early on in the story where she was still weak cuz of Gojo’s ‘lessons’) and she’d have no choice but to swallow (😏) one of Sukuna’s fingers to hope that it’ll give her a boost. I can see Hime using one of Sukuna’s fingers (😏) in that situation because she’d be dead either way: either she first gets killed by the curse she’s trying to exercise or she gets killed by the finger. That’s why she’d have no choice but to hope for the best once she takes the finger. But I actually believe that in that situation, she won’t die from swallowing the finger. With Yuji, it was obvious why he didn’t die since he was literally made to be a vessel for Sukuna. The reason why Hime would come out fine after swallowing a finger too would be because of the linked bond that Sukuna put on her soul. Like you said in chapter 3 of Bloodflood, she can’t die because Sukuna decreed it.

Therefore, once she eats the finger, Sukuna would possess her body without realizing he was possessing her body. At first, Sukuna would think that he possessed the body of some random woman because he’d realize that the anatomy of the body felt lighter and curvier than a man’s (not to mention the tits lol).

This would confuse the hell out of him but once he realizes that he overtook the body of not just some random woman, but Shisui’s reincarnated body, how would Sukuna react?? And how would Hime and Sukuna share a body exactly?? Also how would Gojo and the rest of the other yanderes react?? How would YUTA react especially cuz he and Hime were technically in a loving relationship at that time.

Oh yeah and whenever Hime sleeps and gets brought into Sukuna’s domain, he’ll obviously have her looks right? Just like how he looked like Yuji when he possessed him, he’ll look like Hime since he’d possess her body in this ‘what if’. The only thing that’ll stick out, would be that he’ll still have his cursed tattoos and his voice (just like in Yuji’s situation).

(PLEASE I can just imagine Sukuna cackling at the idea that Hime has to swallow his fingers now-)

Where was Fenton and Gyro's new dynamic post-'Astro B.O.Y.D.' (post 1)?

Am I the only one who feels like a couple of Fenton's newly-established relationships in s3- specifically with Gandra and Darkwing- came out-of-nowhere and were given zero explanation? And I feel like like it was one of the show's many attempts to wrap everything up as fast as they could, knowing it was their last season, and sacrificing some of their writing/development as a result (just like with Gyro's character development, and the development of his relationships with Fenton and Boyd, after the amazing, promising way 'Astro B.O.Y.D.' ended- like with that, the production crew probably thought "They're only side-characters, they're not that important, and have little to do with the season's plot and coming end-game twist").

His relationship with Gandra (first established in 'Beaks In the Shell', then continued/concluded in 'The Last Adventure').

His friendship with Darkwing/Drake (first established in 'Let's Get Dangerous', then continued/concluded in 'The Last Adventure').

I already made a post about the ways Fenton and Gandra's established relationship came way of out nowhere in season 3.

And in 'Let's Get Dangerous', Fenton was revealed to have hooked Darkwing up with all his crime-fighting tech and gadgets, including his AI supercomputer W.A.N.D.A. It was sort of implied he was Darkwing's official tech guy. (He had no idea Fenton was Gizmoduck). And they talked over Darkwing's computer at several points in the episode, including trying to figure out a way to bring back Gosalyn's grandfather from whatever dimension he was trapped in (and at one point in the episode, Launchpad even told Gos that DW and Fenton had stayed up all night for days to talk about that).

But I wish 'Let's Get Dangerous' had slightly better explained how Darkwing and Fenton met in the first place (technically, they met in the s2 finale 'Moonvasion', but Fenton was Gizmoduck at the time, who the jealous, egotistical DW immediately took a disliking to)! When Darkwing was showing off W.A.N.D.A. and his other equipment to Launchpad and Dewey, he said- exact dialogue- "Launchpad's pal Fenton hooked me up", so my hc is that because Launchpad was friends with both Fenton and Darkwing, he introduced them. It's very likely that when Drake was first setting up his new persona and secret HQ as Darkwing, Launchpad suggested something like 'Hey, I have a buddy who can set you up with the crime-fighting tech you'll need; he's a super smart scientist!"

And... it honestly irks me that Fenton and Gyro weren't seen to grow closer (not talking about shipping) after the way Gyro warmly, sincerely promoted him from unpaid intern to full-time scientist at the end of s3e06's 'Astro B.O.Y.D.', and the way Fenton emotionally hugged him in response. In fact, they barely interacted throughout the rest of season 3, except in 'Beaks In the Shell' (which took place three eps away from the season finale), and there wasn't much indication they'd grown closer in that episode, even tho Gyro did seem to be treating him more decently in the few scenes they shared there. And they didn't interact at all in 'The Last Adventure', which was the next episode they were both in after BItS. In fact, I plan to talk a bit more about that in a second part to this post.

texts you a lot to remind you to do things you need to do. (ex: homework, brushing your teeth, drinking water, etc.) it's her subtle way of showing her love!

KEL

i can see him having ADHD. like how he had trouble in school, and was kinda described as 'the dumb one' that gets distracted easily. i feel like it's less severe now, probably due to the fact that he was a child back then

it doesn't happen as often anymore, but sometimes he starts bouncing his leg and fiddling with his fingers during conversation, and totally spacing out

he doesn't get frustrated with you if you aren't listening or anything, just probably repeats your name until you respond

A modern AU where sam, steve and bucky are roommates that rent from a small house together. It’s a three bedroom house but two of the bedrooms have a connecting door for some reason. Similar to how sometimes hotel rooms have a door between them so they still have separate entrances but they also have a joint door.

Sam and Bucky’s rooms have the connecting door since Steve has the master bedroom. Steve is still convinced Sam and Bucky ‘hate’ each other (annoy each other and are dramatic about it) so he’s constantly trying to set them up to hang out and talk things out and be friends. However he doesn’t know that bucky and sam are basically fuckbuddies behind his back bc they think it’s hilarious how whenever steve says ‘you guys should go do x y z and bond’ they really just take it as an excuse to get out and have sex without steve getting involved and being nosey.

However bucky has a lot of nightmares. I think he has ptsd. Maybe he was a firefighter and lost his arm due to burns or some other public service member. But he doesn’t want sam to know he might actually care about he guy and feel safe with him.. eventually sam gets tired of being woken up by buckys screams/cries and takes care of bucky one night and they fall asleep together on accident. The result is a very good night of sleep for both of them..

After this revelation bucky and sam say goodnight to steve.. head into their separate rooms.. and then bucky goes to Sam’s through the connecting door and they fuck so they can pretend they’re not in love and that it excuses all the snuggling they do after sex. And them falling asleep. In the morning Bucky goes back to his room and then leaves through his door so steve is none the wiser.

Basically.. just two boys who can’t admit they have feelings so they fuck about it. And go behind their mutual friends back pretending they don’t care about each other. But they really do and are in love.

I guess this is more of a set up for a possible fic and less of an idea.. this is just like.. a world for you to play with and put a plot in it.

Bonus points if steve actually knows exactly what they’re up to but hasn’t mentioned it bc he thinks it’s amusing that the boys think he can’t hear them having sex when he shares a wall with Sam’s bedroom and bucky is literally not quiet in the slightest.

Also bonus points if Sam and Bucky’s cats Figaro and Alpine are in it.

And one more bonus points if there’s several moments where bucky and sam are close to getting caught and panic about it. Or they act like their sex is a top secret mission and steve is a ‘hostile’ they must be on the lookout for in order to accomplish said mission effectively. They take their planning super seriously and act as if they’re actually getting away with something.
