I always try to be as honest as possible here with my astrology content, so I'll say that I am not sure I am the best person to answer this question, but I will try to answer you to the best of my ability.

First, I will give you some cautionary ideas, but then I'll give possible positive outcomes of the synastry you asked about.

Synastry: External x Internal

The first thing to point out would be the manifestation of said synastry. What is it exactly that you want? Because it can look different from the outside than it feels like for the two people in the relationship. You could be talking about a synastry that LOOKS (external) like they're conjoined twins and happy about it, but FEELS (internal) like an obligation or suffocating for them. Or you could be talking about a synastry that is very private in display, so it seems cold or distant to the outside, but in their intimacy they're very attached.

You might even be looking at synastry that has veered into sibling-like/platonic convenience territory, and the romantic love isn't that strong there anymore, but they're still maintaining the habit of doing everything together. My point is to say that you could have no such aspect with someone and grow a very close and flowy connection, just like you can have that type of synastry and it goes overboard and turns harmful, but one would never know from looking at it superficially.

How much synastry does it take?

The answer is: more than you expect.

You see, while we'll often see analyses for individual placements online, that is done only to make it more simple to understand, but one aspect alone cannot realistically carry an entire connection. You are not gonna behave an entire way just because you have that one aspect or overlay. In real life, just like you need to look at the entire chart to describe a person, synastry aspects NEED support and combination with multiple aspects/overlays.

The reason being that the same aspect can cause different effects for different relationships. Codependency between lovers and codependency between family members are different things, for example. But they can come from having the exact same aspect/overlay.

So, like a puzzle, synastry needs multiple pieces at the same time to formulate an entire bigger picture and differentiate one thing from another.

Assuming that you are talking specifically of synastry between a healthy and happy and loving couple...

It would need to be a combination of both emotional and physical synastry, so one Mars this, or one Moon that, is not gonna cut it. It needs multiple placements going in the same direction. So apply this if at least 2 or more aspects are present at the same time:

* Rising conjunct rising *

No, not rising in the other's first house. It needs to be conjunct. Sometimes, not even having the same rising sign is enough if it's not conjunct.

If you use the Placidus system and you have a Leo rising at 21° and someone else is a Virgo rising at 7°, their rising will fall inside your 1st house – that does NOT mean you have the same rising sign, nor that your risings are conjunct.

If you are a Virgo rising at 2° and someone else is a Virgo rising at 28° degrees, you do have the same rising sign, but your ascendants are NOT in conjunction.

When the risings are in conjunction that indicates a similar way of going about life, carrying oneself, behaving and expressing. It COULD go the other direction and turn into rivalry, though. If it doesn't, then the people should naturally behave very similarly, and that creates a feeling of "ease" with the other person, because you don't have to be explaining yourself, they just act like you naturally.

* A combination of Cancer + Leo + Scorpio placements between the two *

That means that the two people have placements in those three signs. They don't need to both have all 3 signs in their chart at the same time, but they do need to have at least 2, and if they have the same sign it's even stronger.

For example: If Person A is a Cancer sun, with a Leo moon. And Person B also has a Leo moon and has a bunch of Scorpio placements in their chart.

Cancer is a naturally clingy and attached sign, so Person A will naturally want to be attached at the hip with the person they love. The closer they are, the more stable, safe and secure Cancerians feel, so they need emotional and physical proximity to feel like things are under control and safe. They see emotional compatibility as a sign that things are going right and they found the right person.

Leo is a fire sign, but it's a fixed fire sign, so it's also very attached to what it knows. Being a fire sign, Leo IS guided by their desires and wants, but unlike the other two fire signs (Aries & Sagittarius), Leo is not fickle. It doesn't change plans on a whim, on an impulse. Specially in love. But it feels emotions very ardently and deeply. So Leo wants to be obsessed with their partner and it wants their partner to be obsessed back.

Scorpio is another fixed sign - like Leo -, and another water sign - like Cancer -, so combine the two and you get a Scorpio. Scorpio is deathly committed, it's obsessive in it's love and it is dead set on one target and one target only. It wants to know its people deeply, inside and out, all of them. ALL of them. Which means Scorpio doesn't ever get bored or tired of their lover. They would gladly spend 24 hours + 7 days a week + 12 months with their lover.

That means that these placements naturally have a need to be around that person constantly and they thrive on doing and wanting the same things. At times, they might even forget others are even around.

* Same moon sign *

That means what it says. They have the exact same moon sign. Their moons don't have to be necessarily conjunct, but they DO need to be in the same sign.

So if you have a Sagittarius moon at 26° and someone has a Capricorn moon at 1°, TECHNICALLY your moons are conjunct by 5 degrees. But they are not in the same sign. Your personalities are different. That connection works in a different way.

But if you have a Sagittarius moon at 12° and someone has a Sagittarius moon at 25°, they are too far apart to be conjunct, but they are still in the same sign. So you have the same emotional landscape.

When two people share a moon sign that immediately describes a sense of comfort, understanding and safety. It also sparks up a gigantic amount of excitement. Because they recognize each other, they understand each other's emotional impulses, and they don't have to explain what they feel a lot, because the other person probably already feels the exact same way, so they just "get it". They can translate what the other feels easily.

It can make the people want to be around one another all the time, because with this person it feels safe, there's no suckerpunch, no surprise, no judgement, no rejection, no ambush. Plus, they validate each other A LOT.

Now, again, this aspect alone will not create this. If people have Mars conjunct moon, but the rest of the synastry is a disaster, they will most definitely not go the right way with this. I am talking about a COMBINATION of HEALTHY aspects TOGETHER.

There isn't much to say about this one. It combines physical needs with emotional needs. It IS a tricky aspect, because it gives rise to violent anger, on the account that it's the planet of aggression touching the planet of emotions. So they will value the impact of the other person a lot, which means that when that person upsets them, they feel it even more dramatically than with others. But when it works well, it really works nicely.

The first and most apparent effect of this would be a need to be physically close to the other a lot. So they will often sit next to each other, talk looking at each other, walk very close to each other, touch each other a lot, even if it's light touches, and depending on their level of intimacy, do physical forms of affection, like kisses on cheeks, head, shoulders, hugs, gentle caress etc.

Emotionally, they will search for drive in each other. It's like the other person is their personal motivator. If they are in a group setting, for example, they might look at the other person for validation that what the're saying is right, or they might feel safe to share their ideals and aspirations because the other person is there to support them. It can even make a shy person start to speak up their thoughts because the other boosts their confidence and will defend them if needed.

Some thoughts:

It's extremely important for this au that Etho is very enthusiastic about his clowning, okay? Nobody's forcing him to do this he is a PROUD CLOWN.

The setting is probably somewhere in the 80s-90s at an amusement park with a carnival vibe. I thought it might be fun to have all the Halloween hermits be canon, but I also see this being a world unaware of the more supernatural goings on, so I'm not sure if that could pan out. Maybe some sort of veil from the supernatural might be in play? Who knows.

Anyway! This is about Ethdubs not those other nerds.

> So, in this amusement part there's an oddities attraction of sorts. There resides Bdubs, he is a haunted heart preserved in a jar, not an actual attraction though just set dressing for the creepy shed vibe. As the story goes this jar has been passed around for decades, but its progressively gotten heavier despite being untampered with. The preservatives have gotten thick and changed colors over time. This is actually just Bdubs' spirit taking its sweet sweet time to manifest, as he slowly materializes around his heart, the preservatives turn to ectoplasm.

Most of the time he's sealed up in the jar, thanks to this mystical veil regular people usually can't hear him grouching about the tight space. The jar itself is part of his haunting, which means its technically part of him and he can't pass through it. So, until Etho realizes the disembodied voice he's been hearing come from the little building is not all in his head, Bdubs was stuck there.

> Bdubs' more human less goopy form is also a bit translucent in that form and he's not at all solid. If Etho were to poke him in the arm his finger would go through with some pressure. A firm hug would be fine at first, but he'd quickly start sinking into the ghost. It takes a lot of energy to be that physical, so Bdubs hardly does it. He's capable of leaving his heart in the jar and being a more traditional wispy ghost in that image, but... he feels left out when he can't touch things, so he'll usually choose being a bit gooey over being a beautiful beautiful man.

His heart is the only part of him that is completely physical. It is a real object in the world still, he's possessing it. It's what allows him to be more physical, so if someone were to reach into his chest and pluck it out he'd turn into a wisp. (He and Etho have both done so repeatedly to make bad jokes about heart stealing). How did Bdubs' heart get in a shady unmarked jar? Who knows. The people who ran the place probably don't even know its a real human heart anymore.

> Bdubs died before Etho was born, this is the subject of mockery on both sides. (Etho would've been born maybe a decade or so after Bdubs died, he's in his 30s at present)

Boss is relatable. I read him as introverted and depressed (maybe from a break up and/or homophobic trauma?). It’s already hard to make friends as an adult when you’re introverted so I can only imagine how hard it is to make friends with coworkers who are clearly trying to keep their distance from you. My guy is lonely. Especially when they’re telling the new guy how cold & distant you are. My head cannon is nobody in the office is a reliable narrator because no one has bothered to GET TO KNOW boss/gun.

I didn’t like Cher at first because I read him as a silly kinda ditzy character, but I was wrong. I kinda love that he’s not afraid to show his concern for boss because that’s exactly what boss needs. Someone to cross the professional line and say “hey I know you’re not ok and I wanna be there for you”. Fuck professionalism in this rat race of a world, you need a friend. Maybe there are some problematic ethics at play, but it’s a BL ok there are plenty of other plots I hold a suspension of disbelief for so honestly not too far fetched imo

Even though they kissed in episode 2, I feel like the emotional build up of their relationship will be more of a slow burn and I love how realistic that is. I truly believe these two characters are both physically attracted to each other and want to have an emotional connection. I love the ForceBook chemistry. It’s both fun-flirty but also very affectionate. The way Cher is kind of sarcastic and silly to try & cheer up Boss reminds me of my relationship with my partner so maybe I am a little biased but their connection feels very realistic to me

About the kiss. I loved it. It was flirty, it was intimate and it made sense for the moment. Maybe I’m wrong but I don’t think Cher invited Boss up to his room to seduce him. I think he offered a warm, welcoming place to spend time after Boss told him he usually works late and then goes home alone. Cher knows how lonely Boss is and his genuine concern for him is so sweet. From inviting him up for noodles to inviting him to BBQ to meet his friends (and normalize having queer friends) is just so damn considerate & touching. Cher really seems to have the truest of intentions & I think I would be his real life bestie cheering him & boss on the sidelines, seriously. Maybe I’m problematic lmao

Did I mention I love we got a kiss in episode 2? I’m out here manifesting the break in the typical episode 5/6 kiss especially for these office BLs. Again it’s way more realistic for them to kiss each other at this point in their relationship & for the tone of the show. Sometimes I think a good timed kiss is way more impactful than a dramatic emotional yearning kiss 5 episodes in but maybe that’s just me. More playful, sweet early kisses plz & thank you 🙏🏻

I’m excited for more. Haven’t seen episode 3 yet as of this writing. Fingers crossed their relationship continues to be a sweet, supportive slow burn and not a dumpster fire so I don’t regret writing my first ever BL analysis 🤪

i’m so glad this season is described as “just vibes” with less spiderwebbing plot-lines. the only part of GO i was interested in (and this might just be my Gay Agenda talking) was crowley and aziraphale. i had little interest in any of the other characters just because the relationship between those guys and actors was so strong and well crafted; it made anything else seem mundane. i skip through the whole adam and anathema and witchfinder arcs during rewatches just because they’re not all that interesting; not in comparison.

i’m so excited for this season because they Know what we want as fans and are willing to put it to screen. and personally i can’t wait to see michael and david explore intimacy in a way that we not only didn’t expect (queer media trauma is real folks) but also just assumed we’d never actually get. most people were used to the bare ass minimum until indisputable and thoughtful queer media started coming out.

this sounds so cheesy but it shaped me into a better person, getting to see queer people be intimate on screen. it normalized something i’ve been trying to manifest my entire conscious life (no literally) through fan works and especially fan fiction.

additionally hollywood loves thin and traditionally attractive people. ofmd and good omens have totally turned that on its head and i feel like there’s a greater appreciation and acceptance of normal bodies being represented on screen. this is just speculation but i suspect michael sheen and rhys darby specifically never had a fandom advocate so hard for them at such a life stage. and i feel really happy that they do get to experience that as a demographic (older people) that often gets told that they lose their value because they’ve aged, and thus become less marketable.

you see this when people draw the boys all skinny and hot and young; something i’m not gonna write to the president about but it’s clear that people depicting them to fit the hollywood standard is a reflection of their own perception of beauty. so i don’t care for all this talk about “oh that outfit is so ugly!” or “his beard is weird” because LMAO my outfits have been ugly! if i had a beard, i would make questionable fashion choices! (personally i love crowley’s looks, they’re goofy and fun and fit the vibe of the show, i think it’s pointless even arguing about their personal aesthetics so long as they fit the context and their characters. david tennant can’t always be a smoking hot twink, guys. let him be silly and goofy for my heart’s sake please).

i guarantee if crowley and aziraphale end up kissing and it’s not the most Perfect queer standard camera angle, folks are gonna complain about it, because everyone on screen must be Pretty and Profitable but also Realistic and Relatable. bit of a double standard, no?

that’s why i love that david and michael get to be praised for their physical appearances and i’m no middle aged man but it feels like a door has opened in a way? in myself via the barriers of insecurity and dysmorphia, as well as in some widening sectors of queer society, because it shows that nontraditionally attractive queer people (aka people without abs or a perfect jawline, aka me lol) are fully capable of loving and being loved and being HAPPY and accepted. it makes me so so so joyous. anyway there’s my rant; y’all know i ain’t sleeping till s2 drops tomorrow. i’m HYPED!!!

I wanna talk about the mutable moons now because as an aries sun and virgo moon I must come first so let’s do this right.

DISCLAIMER: I will be talking about my own trauma so if you do not feel comfortable reading about that it is fine to just not read either the virgo moon part of this post or if you would prefer you can just stop reading. I don’t want anyone to feel obligated to do something if they do not feel comfortable with it.

Flexibility is their Forte

Let’s start with explaining what it means to have a mutable moon in the first place. Since the moon in some way represents our emotions which is something you cannot control you can only control how you act upon them for the most part. And the mutable modality is all about being flexible and generally just vibing. Now if we look at the mutable signs (Sagittarius, Virgo, Gemini, and Pisces) most of them are not associated with expressing a wide range of emotions. I even include pisces because honestly out of the water signs they seem to be the least expressive of their emotions from what I have seen at least. Now imagine having a modality not really known for their emotions inserted into the one placement which is all about emotions. You get an interesting emotional state. Now for the most part I associate mutable moons with truama but that is not always the case. In fact I’m pretty sure most of the people who have a mutable moon aren’t traumatized or even grew up in an abusive enviroment, but it just seems interesting that most of the people who I have met with a mutable moon happen to have had a rough life starting in their childhood. I just wanted to preface that first because I don’t want anyone to get the wrong idea of what I will write in this post from here on out. Now let me go into the specifics for each mutable moon.

Virgo Moon

You know how sometimes you mess something up and you feel horrible so you either give up or strive to do better? Imagine giving up not being an option most times. That is what I feel it is like as a Virgo Moon. Now I’m sure different aspects can influence how you go about or even what you take more to heart. Now I personally have this worry about not being good enough which I have had since I was a child but my mother wasn’t really the criticizing type like I have read some post on virgo moons and their childhood. Instead I was raised by a mom who I felt responsible to take care of emotionally. I felt I had to prioritze her emotional needs over mine and I think that is how the idea of not being good enough manifested in me. It was less my mom being upset with me but instead of her using me as an example of greatness when she was scold my siblings for something like low grades or soemthing like that. It even got to the point where I felt resentful of myself to some extent for not helping them more. It was weird to me because my siblings had very decent reasons for not getting a’s and b’s on every report card. I won’t go into that because that is a very personal thing to them. Anyways this shaped me to be very critical of myself along with others because I even subconsciously feel this intense drive to be better so I need others to be better as well. Because honeslty I like being around people who are better than me but idk if that has to do with my virgo moon per say but I figured I’d include that just in case. Anyways it is not to say that people with virgo moons are inherently bossy or assholes by how critical they are of others, because I think judging others can be expressed in different ways. And I put virgo moons as more judgy than critical but depending on their mercury and mars signs would change how they express that judgement onto others so they could become hypercritical of others…

Sagittarius Moon

I LOVE SAGITTARIUS MOON I think it has somewhat to do with my sag mars but ehh. I do wish you guys would stay a realist as opposed to “optimistic”. Because I think some of you go through the stage of life where you’ll believe that any negative emotion or negativity at all will ruin your experience of life in some way. When really you could just be avoiding enjoying life without the dichotomy of sadness and happiness. Without dealing with the painful emotions the happy moments will not reach the potential they could have had. But of course not all of sag moons have had that mindset.

Moving on, I love sag moon energy they give off because they will be the person who interacts with basially anybody even if the person seems kinda unapprocable and I think it has more to do with childhood experience or even the idea that it’s better to go off the energy a stranger gives off rather than the physical things they are doing. The other placements a person has could modify in the way they act upon this idea tho. Honestly I have met a couple of sag moons with leo placements who are very outgoing and very popular. While at the same time I have met sag moons who are more to themselves but still popular in some way.

For instance, I remember meeting one of my friends in my sophomore year of highschool (Sophomore year is the 10th year/grade for my non-american readers). Anyways the teacher basically made us into groups and I got paired up with them (along with my childhood friend and someone who turned out to have gone to the same schools as we did but somehow I never met them before that point). I felt this burst of energy just from talking to them and we became friends. I had a short crush on them but eventually those feelings converted to platonic feelings i guess. Weirdly enough, I didn’t figure out they were a sag moon till like a couple years ago, and things kinda clicked for me, because before I thought I became friends so quickly with them because of their gemini sun. Honestly both gemini suns and sag moons are my instant friends most times. I love gemini placements but sag moon have a special place in my heart.

PISCES

I am just to say this I don’t have much experience with pisces moon so I will mostly say meh things, but if there is anybody with a pisces moon I would love to hear from you. Now pisces moon is still a water sign at the end of the day so although it isn’t as intense as scorpio or cancer (imo) pisces is still more connected to their emotions than the other mutable moons. I feel like pisces moons probably have this disconnecting from reality vibe to them. Pisces is connected to Neptune the expert in fantasy. Now this isn’t to say they can’t be realistic it just seems like most times they choose to avoid the reality of their emotions sometimes. Pisces is the sister sign of Virgo so unlike Virgo pisces doesn’t go rationalize their emotions or take on other people’s emotional problems to avoid their own.

Gemini Moon

Gemini moons is by far the oddest moon sign I have read about. Like bruh I love gemini placements as you know but somehow any small change in placements can change so much about a person with a gemini moon. That’s not to say every gemini moon doesn’t share similarities tho.The thing is I have only really seen a little bit of gemini moons truly exist in the same space as me. Oh also apprenlty I would have been a gemini moon if I was born on my due date. Which would have rougly been 4/20 (yes yes haha weed reference but also hitler’s birthday and the anniversary of the columbine shooting is not a birthday even newborn me wanted. They just knew something wasn’t right about me being a taurus sun with a gemini moon) but honestly I am glad I decided to be born two weeks early. It’s funny to me when i found that out because my friend since childhood is a taurus sun with a gemini moon and I love her to death. She is family to me, but we are definetly two different people from how we were raised to our looks.

Anyways moving on enough about me. Gemini moons like any gemini placemnt is truly a moment by itself to have. Without something to ground a gemini placement though they tend to be seen as flaky and all that jazz. I said “tend to be seen as” rather than they are flaky because realistically speaking flaky is not how I would describe them. I can see why other people would see them that way tho. Are gemini moons confused about their emotions because they have a tendency to change yes, but I kinda think that is all mutable moons. I think gemini moons just tend to express it around people more if that makes any sense. I have seen gemini moons that talk about their emotions in the funniest of ways.

They are the sister sign of sagittarius so let’s get somewhat into that. Sag moons and Gemini moons both don’t enjoy conflict the difference is that Sag moons need to have somebody learning from this conflict but gemini moons try to ease the tension (unless they have water placements because oof I worry for you guys). I’ll give an example of what I mean. Let’s say there is an argument between two people and sag/gemini moon just happen to be there. It could go something like this.

A: Pineapples should not be on pizza, pizza is meant to not have fruit on it.

B:Pineapples are delicious and food should not be restricted.

Sag moon would be more along the lines of “What I think A is trying to say is that they do not want to be forced to eat pineapples on pizza. Now is that to say we can’t put things on our pizza that weren’t originally intended to be on it. That can go from person to person, but what I think B is trying to say is…” (honestly imagine a teacher trying to educate the class on something lol) Now a gemini moon would go more along the lines of insert funny joke here “blah blah hehe run away.” I am sorry but I can’t really explain the difference that well but I hope you guys got what I was roughly trying to explain.

Now for a long drawn out lecturey story about my life with an eventual point to really give you that empress matron energy you’re missing.

As a Chaos Magician who has been a terror on the internet for a little less then a decade I look back and see myself being heavily influenced by the people I was around.

(If you’re thinking you’re a chaos magician and all you post is tarot readings?I just refuse to give advice to the same internet that tried to curse the fucking moon okay? Okay.)

And you know what I am still influenced to this day. Not in the same ways obviously. When I first started my lil girlfriend at the time brought me into this kik group chat full of practitioners from different mental well beings (IYKYK) to different walks of life and some of these people are still my best friends to this day. Eventually we moved to discord but there was an issue. One of the bigger personalities of the group straight up didn’t like me. And thats fine. But it always got malicious super fast and eventually they got booted from the group along with a few others. But I notice looking back how I bended and shaped my “Germ” personality online to walk on eggshells around them. Now thankfully I was just shaping my online persona to please them while being myself offline but it taught me a lesson about morality and “isness”. Basically. Nothing is. No I won’t elaborate bc whats the fun in that. But Morality can be extremely empty. After being around all these talented practitioners and becoming one myself I saw that at times “bad” intentioned magic can have positive out comes and “good” intentioned magic can have some extremely awful outcomes. When you do magic and practice need to at times you need to realize that it will always manifest in a very realistic way and realistic isn’t always #livelovelaughlight

So anyways. This asshole tried to curse me and since my “Germsona” was so cataclysmically different than how I am IRL. It couldn’t hurt me. They tried to curse Germ not me and since Germ was so different and so molded to this individual I could walk away without a scratch. Hi Hamliet, sorry for sending you an ask like this. Feel free not to answer if you don't want to.

I read one of your answers where you talked about how extreme wealth and extreme poverty can result in similar problems. Personally I have a hard time empathizing with wealthy people since even if those people mess up, they'll probably still have much more options compared to those who're not as lucky as them. I know someone who's better off financially but still talks about wishing for more money and looking for a partner that can provide her a lavish lifestyle. While I'm sure she has her own problems, it's hard for me to empathize with people like her. Sometimes I get upset thinking how people with money are given more leeway in life.

What can I do to be more empathetic?

No worries.

Well, a couple things here!

Firstly, I actually want to clarify that I was talking one specific problem more so than general. What I was talking about specifically was attachment issues in children/teens who were raised by parents who were either exceedingly wealthy or extremely poor. This is actually not necessarily a direct causation, but it correlates because these parents would generally not be around. This can happen at any class level, of course, but extremely poor parents frankly have to work insane hours just to provide food for their kids, while extremely wealthy parents work extreme hours to maintain that level of wealth. It's not inherently an equal thing, but the end result that I observed was that the kids wind up emotionally neglected and struggle with unhealthy styles of attachment as a result, which then manifested in the same emotional, behavioral, and mental health problems in these kids. So this was more a particular issue than a statement that it results in the same things.

What you said -- "probably still have much more options compared to those who're not as lucky as them" -- is still true here, even so. Kids of rich parents are a lot more able to have access to therapy and insight into attachment theories and education and such than kids who are raised in extreme poverty.

Secondly, I think I would encourage you to have empathy for yourself here too. There are issues where we can't always feel empathy for other people. I think part of empathy means acknowledging that because of our limited human experiences, there are some issues, some experiences, that we simply cannot empathize with. I know I have "triggers" and such. Where I think the problem comes in is that on social media, if you can't empathize with someone, a lot of people will assume that no one ever should empathize with that person. I think that is messed up.

So basically, I don't think it's a flaw if you can't empathize with everyone; on the contrary, I think it's realistic and honest. But that's where the reality of all human beings having such wide and varied experiences comes in, because some people can empathize with people I can't, and empathy is simply not akin to excusing. Kudos to those people who can empathize with those I can't. As humans, we can't do everything, but someone out there can do what we can't, and we can do something that person can't as well.

This also goes back to competing needs. People who do horrific things who have people who still love and empathize with them--I'm glad they have that. But victims also need empathy and love and protection. It is also very likely that someone who works primarily with victims may not be able to work with perpetrators as well and still maintain a victim's trust, etc. That's just the reality of it. But that's okay, in my opinion.

Thirdly, I'm currently in the absolute worst financial situation of my life right now (it should improve soon, but yeah, I covet prayers and good vibes rn), so at the moment I'm in an "eat the rich" phase so mood Anon mood to that person you described. It's been hard for me to watch some loved ones whom I know are not callous or snobby complain about their finances when they make 6 figures and have a partner making the same. And, pettiness aside, I also think that phases of life matter here too. It's okay that you don't feel a lot of empathy right now; have some for yourself, too. You can feel more later, or not. It's easier for me to empathize with some situations now than it was ten years ago, and it's harder for other situations. You're a work in progress. We all are always becoming; we never arrive on earth.

1/ Which category of alterhumanity do you belong to?

A: Somewhere between otherkin and otherlink. If we had to give a definitive best-fit answer a few hours ago, we would have said otherlink, but looking back to our younger days, there was probably some unidentified therianthropy going on.

2/ What/who is/are your type(s)? (if you have any)

We're definitely a shapeshifter at heart, but our preferred form is either a anthro NightWing from the Wings of Fire series or an anthro orange fox, or something between those two. We've never had a feral form manifest.

3/ Do you experience shifts? If so, can you tell us your most common shifts and your strangest cameo shift (if you've ever had a cameo shift)?

Yes, but strictly phantom shifts. We've never mentally shifted or anything, but our phantom shifts are pretty nice tbh. We've learned to somewhat control them, but that control is subconscious so its more like something we do when our brain is idle, like when we're driving or working on something. Basically, we can't control our shifts, but they never happen in a way that is disruptive to our human life.

We don't have the definition of "cameo shift" pinned down yet, but if we answer with what we know: We're kinda in a phase where Riggs, the possum in our pfp, sort of bleeds into our other experiences which, outside of some cobalt core brainrot moments irl (boba shops, iykyk), mostly means that there's some part of us that is Riggs right now

4/ How do you experience your alterhumanity in everyday life?

Other than what we've mentioned previously, not very much. Most of the time, when our otherkinnity "leaks out", its pretty easy to just brush it off as a furry tendency (this mostly takes the form of someone sending us a picture of a fox and saying "you" or something like that, for example)

5/ What do you think of the community?

Uh, we're not sure. We haven't really interacted with it much, but outside of your good ol' tumblr discourse (why is there SO MUCH!?), which we should note is a bit more sparse than other communities, we've had good interactions, but we really don't interact much because we haven't completely killed the part of us that cringes at therianthropy yet.

6/ What are the things that make you most comfortable and euphoric in your alterhumanity?

We have a fox fursuit tail that we wish we could wear more often, but our lifestyle has a lot of sitting or laying down involved when we aren't in public, and even if we are, we're not really in a safe space to be doing it outside of our car, and we figured out that driving with a tail on is not a good idea.

7/ Are you experiencing species dysphoria?

Not right now, but our depressive episodes kick up the dysphoria as what we can only assume to be a coping mechanism. It usually manifests as "man, shit would be a lot easier if we had wings".

8/ What advice would you like to say to a young alterhuman who has just awakened?

oh floof, we're all are in this together lol. We'll give it a shot though.

Learn to vibe check. We're serious. If you're LGBTQ+ then you might know what we mean. If your like us and you're keen to reveal your weirdest (/pos) traits to the world around you, make sure you can read the room and make sure it's safe to do so. Be weird, but stay safe.

9/ Do you have/want to have gears?

For therian-specific stuff like masks or realistic fursuits, no, not at all. But for FURRY stuff, hell yeah we do. Our current saving goal is for a full fursuit.

but looking back to our younger days, there was probably some unidentified therianthropy going on.

This question is what prompted the introspection from before. As a kid, we didn't grow out of the "playing pretend" phase until like 6th grade when we stopped going to an aftercare program and started going straight home from school. Most of our "playing pretend" stuff was pretty obvious furry-in-the-making stuff, like we all pretended we were wolves and shit. That's probably when it STARTED, as for the ORIGIN of our alterhumanity, we believe that there are COUNTLESS universes running parallel to our own, with new ones being created every instant with every decision made. The divergence point that created Thoughtseeker in their universe was me getting abducted in 8th grade, something that didn't happen in our world. For some reason, the barrier between realities is weak specifically around me, and Thoughtseeker (or at least an instance of them) leaked into my head.

none of that origin stuff is anything deep-rooted, we may or may not have subconsciously taken the question as a writing prompt and acted accordingly :)
