the Way I would Totally Read the BuckAbby fic you just described,, concept so delicious, but so curious how and if maddie coming back and or eddie joining the 118 would have any impact at all!! esp cuz maddie's return had her be like this is my brother's longest relationship and i can't help but notice she hasn't been there for most of it

but what if she is there??? and the people around buck can kinda tell she's checking out but stayin g out of guilt, and like what do you even say that at that point???

RIGHTTTTT like oh my god. the maddie-abby dynamic would be INSANE.

so i think maddie is actually like. the first thing that makes abby stick around. like suddenly this sister shows up and she's clearly fleeing an abusive relationship so abby's like ok well i shouldn't just ditch him rn he didn't ditch me when my mother got worse! and she figures she'll hang around until maddie gets settled in la. and at this point maddie's mostly just intrigued by this woman that her brother's in a serious relationship with like i think she's excited to get to know her!

and then just when abby thinks that she's good to go, maddie gets kidnapped. and as soon as she thinks enough time has passed since maddie's kidnapping, buck gets ladder trucked. etc etc. and somewhere along the way the buck/abby relationship gets just poisoned with resentment and buck refuses to see it meanwhile everyone else but Especially maddie is like buck... this is Not Good... and i think that maddie actually becomes extremely anti-abby because after her experience with doug she's like sorry but Zero tolerance for unhealthy relationship dynamics with my baby brother. and this isn't me saying i think abby becomes abusive or anything just that i think the relationship becomes very unhealthy and maddie's sensitive to that which perhaps drives a wedge between her and buck as maddie tries to ask prodding questions and he gets defensive of his relationship.

also. this is gonna sound very bold but i think witnessing a relationship where one party is obviously staying entirely out of guilt and obligation might have gotten eddie on the divorce train with shannon sooner. like i'm not saying it would have butterfly effect saved her life but i Do think it could have potentially aided eddie in his processing of their marriage after her death.

re: lawsuit here's the thing. i do think that at some point abby hits her limit and she just Leaves. like she can't face buck and say it so she straight up just leaves him a note and dips. and i think it might be incredibly likely that this limit comes after the tsunami. it's like a Sign for abby yknow this insane natural disaster occurs and she's like ok there's literally Never gonna be a good time to leave him i just have to bite the bullet and Do It. plus assuming she was working during the tsunami i see her being like i am DONE with this fuckass hell job.

so. now i am imagining lawsuit era buck except he is also trying to process the fact that his girlfriend of like two years just left him without even having the courtesy to break up with him to his face. and the humiliating realization that everyone around him saw it coming before he did and Told him and he insisted they were wrong. GOD. wow. okay.

dick (nightwing) with aventurine's memories

(i dont know if this makes sense at all im tired)

ive been thinking of one of the batbros with memories of aventurine because. okay so yknow birdwatchers the discord server. i took a word cause its my birthday word (which is starting to be soon) but the original idea i had for it isnt getting the brainworks going so i wanted to mix it with my recent fixation which is aventurine (well actually hes starting to get a little old since ive been sitting on this idea for awhile but hHH)

but THEN i felt like i actually had a decent idea so now im sharing it to you because. i dunno. i dont really feel like i can do it justice? write it well??? (itd be my first hsr work LMFAO)

so uh. spoilers for dick's backstory, as well as 2.1 penacony. ALSO Danganronpa 2 because comparisons (also that anime with dr2 cast i dont remember the name)

aventurine as dick (slowly getting memories over time) (like child. kakavasha. teen/adult, aventurine.)

his luck has him notice the tampering of the wire whatever it was called that led to his parents death. he tries to tell them, they dont believe him. hes lucky enough to be the survivor. (think… you know that one oracle i think apollo blessed/cursed?? cant remember if it was first blessed but then something happened and then cursed or if it was at the same time. she could tell the future except no one would ever believe her.)

he has memories of space travel. of people outside in space. hes shocked to find theres no interaction of the IPC here, theres been no sign of life outside of this planet 'Earth' (..and was it really such a strange thought to imagine that 'aliens' could look just the same as them..? he wrinkled his nose at the ugly green thing with wide eyes. it was unnerving.)

he finds signs of a 'space enjoyers!' or whatever club and he goes and they're just like 'what are you talking about? its all just. fiction.. even we know that.'

i cant remember what year it takes place in and if the moon landing has happened yet (or what year hsr is in but i imagine far far in the future)

I dont really know how aventurine's luck works. and. i. honestly have not been paying too much attention throughout the story. my one exception was penacony, aventurine was the SOLE reason i paid attention in penacony ive only played up to 2.1 (thats not because he faked his death, its more that my recent-est fixation now is fanfiction because penacony has so much stuff going on it hurt my brain that i took a break) cause hes lucky but he gets. branded.. maybe its like nagito's but his is confusing too? (nagito is the ultimate lucky student in danganronpa 2, which is basically a talent that person has)

remember in the anime i think he got hit by a truck or something. or maybe that was after. he got hurt, went to like the vending machine, it dropped all of its drinks for him (so good luck), and then maybe it was after he got hit by a truck. uh

no it was a car (sorry im too used to truck-kun LMFAO) actually wait it was a truck somehow i only saw the head and thought 'huh thats a normal car' my dumbass

... truck.

ALSO i cant remember if he was trying to intentionally do something. but. i. remember he was trying to get like a medicine(???) something something. i dont remember why. but it was either he grabbed the wrong one or he grabbed the right one, EXCEPT he bumped into someone so their bags switched. so that meant

i REMEMBER NOW. OKAY OKAY. i think he grabbed the one that was meant to i think cause you. to. maybe. poop more? IDFK i forgot it was something that made someone ill probably. (cant remember his intention and if his luck turned him to the wrong one)

but so he bumped into someone and they switched bags accidentally. so she added what he got into the food mixture (which was meant to make them big and poofy) which made the judges not happy

meanwhile i think there was an enlarged animal...

dont ask me what happens after i have no clue if that was accurate since this is very edited but i couldn't find a better video but so he was trying to make his classmates ill i guess. but he got the wrong thing

to be fair the girl he bumped into and caused to fail was also kind of a bitch i think so i mean... (YEAH she is i went through the wiki)

so i kind of went off topic (i havent talked about danganronpa in so long)

maybe its like a set meter. like. experience a certain amount of bad luck and then get tremendously good luck (but you dont get to choose when probably)

which wouldnt be the same if aventurine had never lost? unless its like his big loss and trauma and er slavery (i feel like i should be using lighter words but i dont know lighter words for this kind of thing)

and for every win of a bet its using up very small amounts of luck (and thus his winning streak). (although probably not. i havent been able to see why hes fortunate in some places and unfortunate in others but that might be because i also haven't been thinking about it too hard)

in which case. i wonder. what was his intention in his 'death'? to permanently die, or to fake his death? cause it could drastically change the meaning.

cause yknow how nagito kermit sewer slide-d because he wanted the 'traitor' i think to win? (by basically making one of the other students be the one to have killed him so they wouldnt be able to win guessing who did it unless by pure chance) except his luck backfired on him and the one who ended up having killed him was the traitor, which WAS able to be figured out and thats how they survived

so was it something like that? where he wanted to die but his luck decided at that moment to just not? i wonder.

i havent even MADE it to penacony in game though (ive watched other ppl play) im like to the quest to where youre about to go to it but im too anxious to start. on the other hand i did the quest with topaz in jarilo(? Im SO BAD with names)

but i dont really know what the ipc does and if theyre well known. but im basing it off what topaz said (with a lot of skepticism cause aventurine)

so anyway thats my half-baked idea.

yknow I'mma make a new story with these boys and reader >w> ---------- You had been working for the old man for about 5 months in now, Three-Fingers had noticed, working at that shitty little gas station him and his two brothers would sometimes go to so they could fill up the ol' truck, after all their old man never stopped them. The first time the brothers spotted you was when you bolted inside the store of the gas station with Maynard, while Saw-Tooth filled up the truck. Both Three-Fingers and One-Eye tried to find ways in, tapping at the windows and doors, cackling at you and the old man. You on the other hand, were shitting bricks with the old man, confused and wild eyed. Yes Maynard had warned you, he sure as hell warned you that there were three giant ass men that came and stole his shit and to never call the police, never tell anyone because you would be in a world of hurt. You were so unsure about taking this extra hand job but no other place would pay a good wage or give you proper days off, with Maynard he gave you both Tuesday and Friday afternoons off once 1pm hit and the weekend off, along with a surprisingly decent paycheck, though under the table, and to take whatever from the store for lunch as long as it was under $10 which you thought fair. How this man was paying you $300 a week was a mystery on its own, but you thought having to just hide every 3rd week from some scary men was worth it, even if sketchy. Seeing them though, holy shit you almost passed out, they were huge and deformed, looking like killer slashers from horror movies. Them banging at the windows didn't help, but the old man just ushered you to keep it quiet. After the five months though, you were practically scrolling through tiktok or instagram as you stayed locked inside while the three men raided the place from outside, you didn't even hide yourself despite the old man's protest but really it was only the two smaller ones who did all the stupid faces outside the windows while the largest just filled up the truck with the most brain dead look on his face. The scrawny pointy nose ferret one though, always stared at you as he made his faces and mocking threats, you ended up actually giving him a dirty look once and stuck out your tongue which surprised and amused the grimy man. Ever since you did that, Three-Fingers couldn't stop thinking bout you for weeks, to the point he was daydreaming and getting on his brothers nerves with how distracted he was. Any time they came past, he wanted them to stop even if they didn't need too, getting a bit mean towards One-Eye by chasing him off if he got too close to any window you were by. He wanted to catch you outside just once, he had no idea what he would do but he'd make sure his brothers didn't lay a finger on you, like a spoilt child not wanting to share a toy. These thought were really hitting him though, was he actually catching feelings or was it just a weird obsession. His two brothers were catching on, they weren't stupid and knew when a sibling was catching some sort of feelings towards victims, though they didn't mind as long as it didn't affect their lively hood. Really you had better hope he never got you when you weren't inside that damn station, sure he could just smash his way in but where was the fun in that, also his old man would probably lose his shit, as much as Maynard was a nuisance he still was their dad. But what the boys didn't know, even if they tried to camp out the place, was that Maynard was picking you up from a bit up the road so as to make sure the three idiots didn't just try and grab you when driving up. Either way, that man was going to find a way to get to you and you will eventually learn about his intentions and feelings towards you very fast with how aggressively handsy that man could be. Most likely he was going to end up catching you and the old stinker slacking and just kidnap you, but for now he made kissy faces and bared his teeth at you through the cracks in the windows.

While Dante and Gram were on the ledge, Dante climbed into the room through the window before suddenly a young man jumped on his back and put him into a choke hold but Dante fought back

“Oh shit!” Gram quickly Jumps through the window and swings out his switchblade slashing the man’s arm who stops attacking Dante upon noticing Gram “The fuck?!” The man exclaimed letting go of Dante

Dante quickly got up and punched the man in the face but paused upon noticing it was actually a kid then Gram shouted “Dante, stop!” Dante looks up and over to Gram and Gram points across the room “Look” He said

Gram put his hands up as Dante looked over to what Gram pointed at to see another kid almost identical to the first one holding a gun aimed at Dante, Dante let go of the first kid and backed up getting in front of Gram

“Leave him alone” The second kid demanded “Easy. Just take it easy” Dante mumbled while the first man got up “It's all right. They're not hunters, Lower the gun” The first kid told the second who hesitantly lowered the gun

“Man, you hit hard” The first kid chuckled “Yeah, well, I was trying to kill you” Dante scoffed not moving away from Gram “Yeah, I thought you were one of them too, Then I saw you” The first kid pointed at Gram

“In case you ain't noticed, they don't keep kids around” He added wincing and looking at the cut on his arm “You're bleeding” The second kid said looking at the blood “I'm Rigel and This is Cen. I think I caught your name was Dante?” The first kid, Rigel, replied

Gram blinked and waved “Hi, Gram” He introduced while Rigel took bandages out of Cen’s backpack and bandaged the cut on his arm “Sorry about that…” Gram mumbled “Nah, your fine. Woulda done that same” Rigel chuckled

The four then went silent “Yknow, We can help each other” Gram suggested “Gram-” Dante paused “No, no She's right. We could help each other and We got a hideout not too far from here. Be safer if we chat there” Rigel told them

“He’s a boy” “Im a boy”

Rigel blinked “Oh shit- Sorry. He’s right” He corrected himself as Dante thought for a moment “All right, We’ll work together” Dante sighed “Sorry about the whole gun thing…” Cen said “Don't worry. I would've probably done the same thing” Gram chuckled

“We gotta be careful. We're right next to one of their lookout areas” Rigel said while the four walked down some stairs down into the first floor “Is it just you and your son?” He asked “We're not related, we're more like, um…” “I promised someone I'd look after him”

The two enter an old newspaper building and hear the humvee approaching “Wait, wait. Everyone be quiet. Get away from the windows!” Rigel exclaimed as Everyone got onto the ground

“They're gone” Dante said standing up and popping his back “Dude, gross” Gram mumbled “Man… that truck. It's been hounding us ever since we got in this damn- Cen, what are you doing?” Rigel paused

Cen was looking at an old newspaper and once Rigel noticed it, he quickly demanded “Get rid of it” and Cen sighed putting it down “Now come on” Rigel muttered “How far is this place?” Dante asked “We're close. Real close” Rigel replied

They exit outside where three hunters are patrolling “Shit. Gram, you watch our back” Dante said while he took out one of the hunters and Rigel took out another, One was about to hit Dante but Gram shot them

“Oh that still makes me feel sick…” He mumbled “You uh- gonna throw up?” Dante asked as Cen patted Gram on the back “… Maybe” Gram said “Can you throw up later?” Rigel asked “Y-yeah, Yeah im good…” Gram said

The four then continued and climbed up a truck, Cen helped Gram up with climbing onto the roof of the building then followed Rigel into the building through a window “Through this door” He said opening one of the doors

“It's back here” Cen mumbled looking over at Gram “So… how old are you?” He asked “Me? Fourteen” Gram shrugged “How old are you?” He asked back “Fourteen…” Cen replied “Oh thank god, i havent met anyone my age in so long!” Gram dramatically groaned

Cen paused then laughed “Ive been stuck with that dinosaur” Gram snickered pointing at Dante who rolled his eyes “Are you sure it's safe being so close to them?” Dante questioned “I'm the only one with the key, man” Rigel told him

Rigel took out a key and unlocked a door then held it open for the others, He gestures around the room “Welcome to my office” He joked closing the door behind everyone “How long have you guys been holed up in here?” Gram looked around

“A few days. We found a bit of food though. Here” Cen spoke up leading Gram over to a small table and grabbed some blueberries “Blueberries. Found a whole stash of them. You want some?” Rigel asked Dante

“No” Dante muttered looking out the window then taking a seat in a chair “Hey man, relax. We're safe” Rigel reassured him “I dont wanna hear that from a kid-” “Look. I get it, But i’ve got a plan” Rigel replied

“And?” Dante scoffed “Everyday they congregate down there. Guarding that damn bridge but Come night time, it's down a skeleton crew and After sunset, that's our window. With most of them gone, sneak right past them” Rigel explained

Dante paused “That could work” He mumbled “Oh, it'll work. It'll definitely work-” Rigel was cut off by laughing in the background causing Him and Dante to turn around and see Cen and Gram laughing

The two were tossing blueberries into the air and trying to catch them in their mouth, Gram throws a blueberry in the air and it hits his nose “Ow!” He laughed “A blueberry hurt you?” Cen snickered

“It's been a while since He even cracked a smile…” Rigel smiled looking back at Dante “Gram doesn't seem bothered by all this” He added and Dante chuckled a bit “So where we're you headin'?” Dante asked

Rigel sat in a chair across from Dante “Heard the Fireflies are out west somewhere and We're gonna join up with them” Rigel explained but Dante only laughed “Something funny?” “Just seems like there's a lot of people putting their stock on the Fireflies these days”

“Yeah, maybe there's a reason for that” Rigel shrugged “So you don't know where they are and you're just gonna drag him around the country to find 'em?” Dante sighed “I tell you what, how about I worry about my brother, you worry about your boy?” Rigel glared

“Easy” Dante narrowed his eyes “We're looking for the Fireflies too” He added and Rigel’s glare softened before he reaches into his pocket and pulls out a map then Points to spot on it “This is us” He said

“There's an abandoned military radio station, just outside the city. Any survivors from our group- they're suppose to meet us there- tomorrow. You and your boy want to join us, it goes down tonight” He told Dante pointing to another spot on the map

“I guess we best rest up then” Dante mumbled leaning back in his chair…

Hours passed and Dante somehow managed to fall asleep in his chair, He woke up to see Rigel right in his face “Wake up” Rigel mumbled “JESUS CHRIST!” Dante shouted falling back in the chair

“Wake your boy up, Cen wont” Rigel said as Dante got up “You little-” He grumbled with a sigh standing up and fixing his vest then turning to Gram who was asleep on Cen, Dante walked over and picked up Gram tossing him over his shoulder

“Alright move” Dante told Cen, Cen nodded and got up grabbing his backpack and putting it on as Dante dropped Gram onto the couch causing him to quickly wake up “Dante! What the fuck?!” Gram shouted

“Time to go” Dante shrugged while Gram groaned then got up and grabbed his backpack putting it on “All right, ya'll ready?” Rigel asked and Gram gave a thumbs up walking forward while Dante tried to hold back a laugh

Rigel leads them to street level, near the hunter's checkpoint “Okay, let's try to take them out quietly…” Rigel mumbled “Follow my lead, kid” Dante replied while Two hunters lie ahead, Dante snuck up behind one while Rigel snuck behind another

Dante strangled the first hunter and Rigel stabbed the second in the neck before the four go outside to see one hunter is sniping distant infected while his partner lights them up using a spotlight

The four tried sneaking past but Dante was spotted by the sniper and almost got hit if it wasnt for Gram trying to shoot the sniper but missed and ended up hitting one of the guys next to the sniper

The sniper shot at Gram who thankfully was saved by Cen pulling him to the side and the two hiding while Dante and Rigel dealt with the hunters, Dante tossed Rigel a pistol who shot a few hunters and Dante threw a nailbomb at the sniper and the nearby guys

Once they were all dead, Cen and Gram came out of hiding “Ones moving!” Gram exclaimed but Dante quickly shot the hunter that tried reaching for his gun “Okay go go” Dante said rushing everyone over to the checkpoint gate

“Rigel, give me a hand with this” Dante mumbled pushing on the gate with Rigel while The hunter's humvee approaches the checkpoint in the distance “Ah, shit. Go!” “Oh, no. Hurry, c'mon”

Dante and Rigel push the gates open and the group sneak through, avoiding the humvee “Come on, everyone” Rigel sighed while the four headed over to a truck blocking the other side, Dante prepares to boost Rigel on to the truck's roof

Rigel reaches the top, using a set of ladders to assist him “We're good. Cen, let's go” Rigel said, Dante boosts Cen up, where Rigel pulls him to safety as The humvee begins ramming the barred gate “Gram, go!” Dante exclaimed boosting Gram up but The ladder they've been using breaks when Gram gets up “Gram!” Dante shouted, Cen caught Gram and pulled him up “Okay, we gotta get Dante up!” Gram told him

Rigel hesitated looking over to the gate as it was being rammed “Ah… I'm sorry. We're leaving!” Rigel said “What?” Cen asked “What? This is bullshit!” Gram scoffed while Rigel grabbed Cen and the two ran off

“What the fuck, Rigel?!” Both Cen and Gram shouted, Gram glared then jumped back down next to Dante “We stick together” He said “Sweet but stupid…” Dante chuckled as the Humvee rammed into the gate again

Dante looked around and saw a garage door. He ran over and lifted it up and Gram crawls under then using what strength he has, lifts the garage door open for Dante who crawls under just as the humvee breeches the gates and Dante makes it through as the humvee opens fire

The two turn into the building they were now in and find an exit that they leave and escape onto the highway while The humvee rams a second gate nearby causing Dante and Gram to run towards the highway

“Dante!” Gram shouted seeing Dante get hit by a bullet and soon Gram got hit in the leg, Dante ran over and used some debris for cover as he picked up Gram and carried him down the highway until he climbed over a barricade behind an overturned bus…

I find it real funny when life just hits you like a truck yknow? Not like in a bad way or a good way, just like a "holy shit" moment.

I have been living in Alberta for 5 whole years.. 5 years. That's insane to me. And now after those 5 years, I'm going back to Quebec..

It's not like I'm sad, mad, or even glad just kinda like.. woah, yknow? It's so wild to think that I graduated highschool and all.. Now I'm 19 and working to become a mechanic. Like that's fuckin wild!

And yknow the reason we're going back, my family and I, is because of a similar thing that happened 5 years ago.. our life being torn apart. But I'm not.. crying? I'm not angry? Just.. existing. Cause honestly, I think that's all we can do at this point, exist until we can't and try to have fun doing it.

I've changed so much over 5 years.. and yknow I wonder if my old friends from like grade 7 will even recognize me. I even got a girlfriend! I woulda never had that opportunity if I wasn't here.

I mean, I guess in conclusion, you're here on this planet, living, breathing, thinking for a reason. Even if it's a small reason in your eyes, it's still a reason. And I think I learnt that over my time staying in this stupid yeeyee ass province. In a way, I'm grateful for what happened to me.. kinda. Floch was hyperfocused on the road as he drove, a little annoyed with himself for this decision. He and Casper had decided to go to a Halloween party a friend was hosting this weekend since everyone was off work. With the weather getting colder, and the Halloween spirit in the air everywhere, a night of partying and fun was all everyone needed. At least, that's what Casper and Floch were thinking, until this surprise snow hit. It wasn't anything super heavy or crazy, but it was enough that your car would go drifting if you weren't careful. There was black ice on the roads and it was making for a difficult situation.

The drive out to Eren's place was nearly an hour, and Floch and Casper were halfway there when the snow hit. With the holidays nearby, the highways were busy, so the couple decided to take some back roads to avoid the heavy traffic. Unfortunately, this had turned out to be a terrible idea. Thirty minutes away from home, and an equal time away from Eren's, Floch was beyond pissed off when his car started stalling. It was his own fault for not preparing it well enough for the winter weather. Although, an old car like this was about on its last leg anyways.

So, that was how Casper and Floch found themselves stranded on the side of the road in the freezing cold with a car that wouldn't start. Eren was willing to come out and help but he was going to be at least 45 minutes because he had to get gas and set up his hitch in case Floch needed a tow. Floch cursed under his breath, feeling the car already getting cold. He sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose. "Dammit.. Stupid weather forecast.. How the hell do you not know there's gonna be snow?!"

Casper was shivering a little bit, but that was the least of his worries. "Well, being upset about it isn't gonna make the damn car start.. For now we just gotta focus on not freezing to death.." He muttered, glaring at nothing in particular. He wasn't upset with Floch, just upset at the situation. After all, neither of them could've predicted this. Floch thought about Casper's words and perked up slightly. "Wait a second- I'm gonna grab something from the truck, hang tight."

"Okay, don't get murdered. These are perfect 'crazy serial killer sneak attack' conditions, yknow."

"Oh yeah, thanks Casper. I'll make sure not to get murdered walking five feet away to the trunk of my car. Oh, and did I mention we're in the middle of nowhere?!"

Floch slammed his door and Casper flinched at the loud noise. He scoffed under his breath and crossed his arms, annoyed with his partner's attitude. He hated it when Floch got loud, and Floch knew that. Although, the situation was pretty stressful.. Casper spaced out, paying little attention to the background noise. At least, until a very cold Floch opened the front door, and spoke. "Get in the back seat."

Before Casper had a chance to reply, Floch had shut the door again. Casper furrowed his eyebrows and glared for a moment, before rolling his eyes and getting out. He made sure the slam the car door right back, simply because he felt like being petty. He climbed into the back, almost instantly regretting his attitude, as he saw that Floch had laid the back seats down and covered them with a couple of spare blankets he had been keeping in his trunk. Casper begrudgingly climbed in, shutting the door much more softly behind himself this time, and Floch joined him moments later.

"You done throwing a fit?"

"You slammed the door first."

"...True.. Sorry, just.. annoyed and stressed out. I didn't mean to take it out on you.. Cmere, even if you're mad at me I'm not gonna let you freeze your ass off, and Eren won't be here for another half hour or so."

"Uh huh this totally isn't an excuse to cuddle up to me as an apology either, right?"

"Since when have you ever not wanted me to hold you."

"Shut up." Casper muttered in response, and crawled over to join Floch under the blanket. One was beneath them, and the thicker blanket covering them. He nestled against his lover's chest, embracing the warmth. Still, the temperatures outside were only dropping, and with it, the car grew colder too. Casper and Floch were nestled closely together, trying to keep each other warm. After a few minutes of silence, and trying to get comfortable, Casper broke the silence.

"Yknow, we might warm up quicker if you'd quit being stubborn and make out with me."

Floch laughed softly in response. "Oh really? I thought you were mad at me huh?"

"I am, but you're still warm, and I'm still cold."

"Uh huh.. Whatever helps you sleep at night. But sure, if you insist, I'll make out with you to 'keep you warm', no other reason." He spoke sarcastically, and then pulled Casper up a little closer to him so he could kiss him.

At first, it was just soft little kisses, nothing really out of the ordinary. But Casper wasn't content, gripping Floch's shirt and trying to press closer to him. Breaking the kiss for just a moment to catch his breath, Casper found himself interrupted when Floch immediately stole his lips away again. It wasn't long before Floch found himself on top of Casper, full on making out with him at this point. The windows were starting to fog up just slightly, and Casper had wrapped his arms around his lover, holding him close. There wasn't a word spoken, just the two lost in the taste of the other's lips. They broke away occasionally for a breath, but the tension was growing, and Floch pushed his hips desperately against Casper, rutting against him as he kissed him. The other broke away from the kiss for a few moments, panting slightly as he looked up at his dear husband. "I hope you're not getting any ideas.." His tone was a near challenge, but a hint of desperation hid behind his words.

Floch leaned down to bite Casper's neck lightly, a warning. "You started this.. Besides, you're not trying to stop me yet.." He muttered against his skin. The friction between them as Casper pushed his hips up slightly against Floch, was enough to drive the both of them crazy. Casper huffed softly, giving up his defiance and tipping his head back slightly in submission. The two were absolutely entranced with each other, and any semblance of cold that had worried them before was masked by the heat coming off of their bodies, the heavy breaths and whimpers as they desperately felt their way around each others' bodies. It was easy to lose track of time like this- easy to forget that there was someone coming to get them out of this situation. Although, the way things were looking, the pair weren't so sure they wanted out anymore.

Just as they were about to start undressing each other, they were startled out of their trance by a loud knock on the window. Before either of them had a chance to respond, Eren had opened the back door and peeked his head in. "Hey, lovebirds, I hate to break up your backseat fuck-fest but it's freezing out here, so unless you plan on staying out here all night, get a move on." And with that, he shut the door, and headed up to his own car to get Floch's on the hitch. Casper's face was so red he felt like he might burn up, and any arousal he felt had been snuffed out both by the cold and by the interruption.

Floch sat up and smirked a little. "Hey, maybe we should get caught in the middle of nowhere in the cold more often." He teased lightly, leaning in to peck Casper's lips.

"Eren is never gonna let us live this down.." Casper muttered, sighing and plopping his head against Floch for a moment. "We should go help him out."

And Eren did not, in fact, let Casper and Floch live that down. Floch, on the other hand, invested in a better car and some window tint. Despite how shitty the night had started, it definitely ended on a better note. ♡

Some more Floridian tips if Hurricane Hillary ends up really nasty:

These are all good ideas if it starts getting really bad! A huge issue though, as a Floridian, is living without power post hurricane. I admit I have no idea what the power situation would be like in the califorina area of the hurricane will be, so this may not really apply to you, BUT:

If you DO lose power, I would suggest getting a couple of hand crank flashlights and charger bars that can act as phone chargers, just in case. We had to live for about a week with no running water, lights, internet, etc during the last hurricane and even a few hours of a charged phone helps with making sure you can contact your family and emergency services and keeping yourself occupied with no power. Consider downloading some games or apps that work without internet onto your phone! Also, keeping your phone on airplane mode will help your battery last longer; just be sure to turn it back off every now and then to make sure you're not missing any important texts/phone calls/messages/etc.

If you have a generator, be sure to make sure it's set up somewhere with proper ventilation, like outside or on a patio. Also, grab some extra fuel for your generator next time you're getting gas. Also, you're gonna wanna try and fuel your vehicle up completely as soon as you can before the hurricane hits. People will rush to gas stations, and you may end up in a really long line for gas, or worse, the station could possibly run out before you can get any. This also might not happen! It really depends on the severity of the hurricane and stuff. Just try and stay updated about local news mostly.

Anyway back to generators They're loud and can emit toxic emissions inside the home and can harm and even kill you. It's an engine yknow? Idk if it applies to every single generator or anything, but that's how it was with ours! Just make sure you're running it safely according to the instructions! Because Florida, we would only have our generator running at night to conserve fuel. You may be tempted to keep it on during the day because it gets hot, but unless it's absolutely essential, you're gonna wanna conserve it for the most important times like at night or mealtimes. (Or to use medical devices)

If you're able bodied and in a position to do so, try and help people whose houses have flooded. Sandbags around doorways and drains, etc. There's a lot of helpful sites out there that can instruct you how to safely and properly help keep floodwaters out of houses, but sandbags are HEAVY and there can be a lot of vulnerable people who are unable to do such intense physical work alone. If it's a lot of flood water, there may be a lot of other bugs, spiders, animals, etc hanging around in the flood waters. You may have some spiders trying to climb on you. We went and helped put some friends with flooding and let me tell you there were so many bugs on me that day...

Also! Not saying this will work... but. If you happen to come across the trucks who go around restoring local power... let them know you appreciate the work they're doing. Most likely, they're all being put through the ringer trying to get power back to everyone's homes and stuff. a couple of beers and pizza make for a pretty good incentive for them to get to your house quicker if you've been a few days without power. Again, not saying this is a sure-fire way to get your power back on quicker, but... it might work? Just try and be as courteous as you can towards everyone else who is working through the hurricane overall haha!

And honestly! Hurricanes are really unpredictable, and It could end up as dangerous as a really nasty thunderstorm in the end if it breaks up in the ocean. And even so, a really nasty hurricane is still something you can recover from :] stay strong and stay safe yall!

@ California mutuals: If it hasn't already been said: Try not to walk in flood water. If a power line is down its a perfect recipie for getting electrocuted. Its likely also dirty and full of sewage. Sometimes theres no choice, so if you DO end up walking in flood water, beware: if you see a patch or raft of brown like this, it's fire ants. They all climb on each other to form a raft and it's TERRIFYING (and cool to watch. ) Yes those are ALL fire ants.
