Sniper tf2 mentality
Today I will be talking about Sniper's personality because I often see people portraying him DRASTICALLY different abd I wanted to understand what's going on and why all of the interpretations are correct (in my opinion)
Let's name the most prominent thesises:
Sniper is shy and introverted.
Sniper is unhinged and bloodlusty and is annoyed by people.
Why do i think that these aren't exactly contradictory?
I think at this point it's safe to assume Sniper is autistic (I mean lol this is easier to prove than to disprove). As an autistic person myself, I can see why he could be perceived like that.
Sniper doesn't talk to people and mostly observes them and the situation. Very in tune with his profession. That, however, might be perceived as being shy or very introverted or both. People love talking and expect others to share information, yet Sniper never says half of the things he's thinking about.
But let me tell you, it's NOT because he's shy. If he was shy, it would show in his body language as being stiff and rigid. He's not. His body is pretty relaxed and takes enough space. Still crosses his arms, but in a "don't bother me" way, not a "please don't judge me" way.
He's just disinterested.
I relate to it a lot in real life! People at my job think I'm too shy to talk to them, but no, I just DON'T WANT TO. I'm not scared of any if you, there's just nothing to talk about. I don't know your business, you don't know mine, our interests don't collide. If I talked to you about my interests you wouldn't listen anyway. Small talk? Ew, are y kidding me?
However, I like to listen. I'm an extrovert personally (unexpected huh) so I love being around people, but it doesn't mean I have to takk to them. I'll just sponge the information they are babbling about so I know my community better. When I meet new group of people where everyone knows eachother but me, I'm not going to feel awkward, it's perfectly fine to observe.
Sniper seems to fit into this kind of behaviour too. So he's not shy in a social anxiety sense".
NOW LET'S TALK ABOUT THE BLOODLUST!!
Yeah you all know his in-game voicelines. You feel either horny or assaulted after he rolls these sadistic words on his tongue. Yes I said sadistic, are you gonna argue?
"We professionals don't give speeches we just take a shot" he says in the comics. OH YEAH? IS THAT WHY YOU HAVE THE MOST FUCKING VOICELINES OF ALL OF THEM??
Have you ever noticed how much attention he puts into saying how 'professional' he is? Like, yeah no shit, they all kinda are. But why, unlike other mercs, he insists on calling himself a professional with standards and morals, detached from emotions and feelings, so much???
There's literally no reason to be ashamed of being a killer and to admit that you enjoy killing people, you were hired to Mann Co. for that specifically!!!
My assumption: it's a personal disgust towards himself and his anger issues. I've said it before already and I will again.
His so called 'shadow side' that he suppresses so much. It loves to cause people pain, it loves releasing the inner anger, it is being feral and impulsive in nature. Sniper cannot let himself be like that for whatever reason. He's already built a clear picture of what he is in his head and he doesn't want to destroy that.
The only time he allows himself to be a monster is in the battle because it comes naturally. However, when it's not a situation of adrenaline rush, when people want to talk about his persona face to face, he starts to defend himself and bury his face under the lies he believes in.
And THIS is anxiety. To be scared to be truly perceived. Not like many people tried, but I assume he wouldn't like it.
Bro really thinks he doesn't have feelings lmaoooo imagine being so emotionally immature the only way to process your emotions is to shot a human dead.
So, is Sniper anxious? Yes. Is this social anxiety? No, he's not shy. Is he an unhinged murderer? Yes. Does he identify as one? No. It's really a little bit more complicated than the two thesises from the beginning.
He's a person. Obviously not mentally healthy. High dimensional. Can be potentially broken or healed in terms of a good character study.
I might be very wrong though and most of the assumptions are simply guessing by grasping the patterns, but usually when I analyze someone like thus, it turns out mostly right. But correct me if you feel like it.
#tf2#tf2 sniper#sniper tf2#just my rambling#I've been thinking about this mf a little bit too much#He is so NOT self aware#Can anyone see that????#His childhood traumas were never addressed he's just suppressed them#I wish he had more backstory#Bleh

So I'm reading HOO again
And I decided to share some insights and observations that I gather as I read. First, let's begin with Book 1: The Lost Hero.
Here we meet the new trio. They are new characters, people we have never seen before.
First we have Jason POV: at this point, in chapter I, Jason is mostly confused, doesn't know where he is or where he came from, he doesn't know anyone and there are two kids stating they are his close friends.
My boy Jason is very stunned throughout the whole first chapter, and he kinds of just goes with the flow cause he doesn't really know what else to do.
Interesting observation #1: His description of the other new characters that will eventually become his actual friends, but atp are just strangers (for him)
He describes them very superficially, what gives the impression that Jason isn't much perceptive and doesn't have the inner will to look closer, so he just focus more on the surface stuff of his "so-called" friends.
His first thought about Piper is that she is "cute". Than, after when he really looks at her he thinks she is "seriously pretty", which is very cute and all but that's about it at first. He notices her eyes immediately.
Than we have Leo's description
He basically calls Leo an Latino Santa Claus Elf, with a very troubling kind of smile and very hyper.
Interesting observation #2: Leo reminds us of someone
Leo's description makes us remember another character that has a very troublemaker smirk and is hyper 👀
Leo and Percy are very different, but at the same time very similar. I really wish we got to see them more together, but alas, things happened. Anyway, we will talk about Leo and Percy more eventually, but I just thought it was funny how similar his first appearance is with Percy's first description of himself.
Interesting observation #3: The beginnings of the very messy Jason/Piper relationship
Jason/Piper are very messy throughout the whole series. They share very cute moments, but very awkward and tense moments too. And if you read all TOA books, you already know it doesn't end well for them, but here in HOO, specifically in TLH, they relationship are all over the place and they are emotionally unsettled with each other. Very angsty.
First we have THREE occasions where Jason physically withdraws from Piper.
1 - First Occasion: right after he wakes up:
2 - Second Occasion: when she is worried and tries to take his hand again:
3 - Third Occasion: when she asks his help to free her from Dylan and he kinda of ignores her to talk to Coach Hedge
In Jason's defense, I wouldn't want a stranger in my personal space all he time too. Especially an intimidatingly beautiful girl like Piper.
But for her, it just seems like her boyfriend avoiding physical contact, and that is never flattering, so Piper is quite worried and a bit hurt. And Jason can see he hurt her but he can't actually do anything about it, can he?
They are so messy u guuuuuys. She had inside jokes with illusion!Jason man
For her, he is behaving very differently from the Jason she knows and loves.
Which takes us to...
Interesting observation #4: Jason is not a delinquent.
I don't know how accurate Hera's Mist Version of Jason was to the real thing, but Jason is definitely not a delinquent. He isn't the kind of boy that frequents the Wilderness School. He gets amazed at the way the Coach shouts at the students, man! My boy is prim and proper, thank you very much.
Interesting observation #5: Jason seeks Leo more than he does Piper
At least in the first chapter. Leo is his promised partner for this first part of the book. They share cute lil friendship moments in the Grand Canyon excursion. He just has an easier time accepting that Leo is his best friend than the fact that Piper is his girlfriend and I find that very funny lol:
Another cute snipped of Jason & Leo's friendship:
Interesting observation #6: Jason has good instincts
Jason has moments in the very first chapter where he proves right off the bat that he has good instinct. For example, when his mind tries to remember the Gods after an afterthought about it:
PS: It happens to Percy too in the next book.
Than we have him feeling he is going to need his magical weapon very soon (spoiler: he does):
He is also shown to be a protector at heart, doesn't like bad kids and his gut tells him to protect Piper when the girls get mean to her:
Golden boy with a golden heart fr fr
And at last but not least
Interesting observation #6: Jason is Hera's "special package"
Throughout the series we will see Hera claim Jason as hers multiple times. The very first time it happens is indirectly, when she communicates to CHB about her "special package", which turns out to be Jason.
Hera & Jason have such a complex and intriguing relationship, we will dive deeper as I read the other chapters.
If you like my insights follow for more!

How do you think cybertronian society would react (pre war) to ashlyn like unleashed on their planet, because personally I think that would be hilarious and also terrifying. Do I ask this mainly because the thought of young D-16 and either current story Ashlyn or pre story Ashlyn interacting is both terrifying and interesting? Yes.
Honestly, it could go so many different ways, *evil cackle*
Speaking of the new movie, is everybody else hyped? CAUSE I AM SO EXCITED! FINALLY, we are getting a fun animated Transformers film ヾ(*´ ∇ `)ノ
I saw that cross-eye megatron reference from Bumblebee, tfp anyone?
ᕕ(⌐■_■)ᕗ ♪♬
ehem, happy dance aside, here's what I think a Golden Age Ashlyn would have been like...
Presuming that she fell into this situation as a Human things get awkward very quickly. Organics aren't very well received on Cybertron nevermind how their products are luxury goods apparently
Running through the streets, ducking under vendor stalls, and darting between peds like a literal street rat, Ashlyn is very very confused on what the utter frag happened to her.
Unfortunately, as an organic alien lifeform, especially as one that is currently undiscovered, she is VERY distinctive. Her small size helps her a bit with sneaking, but eventually, it becomes common knowledge that a weird creature is hanging around. It doesn't help that her need for breathable air severely restricts potential roaming areas, and only a handful of stores/merchants carry edible food items.
Already making a name for herself as a pest... in a surprisingly literal sense.
When she's eventually spotted and caught by a Cybe with particularly good reflexes, Ash is forced to come up with something fast so she doesn't get squished. By now, you all know where her self-defense tendencies tend to point to.
On the plus side, the twerp survived. On the negative, he's going to need a new servo since the wiring that articulates his digits is beyond saving. Also, a small feral organic that goes for joints is apparently entertainment enough for these people. Welcome to the mini and illegal gladiator battles, Ashlyn! The unregulated leagues for those who can't afford to go watch the real thing.
Look at her go, gaining all the XP fighting alien bugs and other mini-bosses.
Of course, 3 things occurred during this time period. 1) Ashlyn is actually picking up on Neocybex and proving surprisingly adept at it. 2) She's starting to gain a legitimate reputation and doing Humans Are Space Orcs proud via creative/brutal takedowns of her opponents, and biological features that can be terrifying to an alien. 3) Someone in Iacon has quietly been looking for a creature resembling her specifications, but due to the fact that Ashlyn is in Kaon and an asset of an illegal fighting ring, she is unidentifiable.
Of course when Ashlyn finally gains enough of an affinity for Neocybex, (with a very thick kaon accent) she wants to wait to reveal her sentience until it's at a point where she can't be knocked off or ignored. That plan does not last. No.
Because Ashlyn Moore, covered in robot gore, looks up one day to see a very familiar outline.
"ɎØɄ"
D-16, for his part, is very confused as to why the little alien just looked at him and started chittering like a sparkling while shaking.
The crowd is in an uproar.
See humans do look very similar in structure to a basic Cybertronain model. Even more so when you compare it to a sparkling model which is squishy. eh, Unicron connection?
The point is, an unidentified, kinda sparkling-ish thing, that sounds like sparkling, has also just fulfilled one of the oldest Sparkling-Guardian rituals of choosing an adult to protect them. Look at ze adult, go to ze adult, don't let ze adult leave without you.
Ashlyn might not have had such... noble intentions when she launched herself at D-16 while rambling, but such is the beauty of cultural miscommunications. And dehydration and malnourishment. And an almost chronically activated stress response. You get situations like these!
"ɎØɄ!-гЅ₮₳₭Ɇ ₴Ø₥Ɇ ⱤɆ₴₱Ø₦₴ł฿łⱠł₮Ɏ! …-₣Ɽ₳₲ł₦₲ ฿Ʉ₲₴ ł'VɆ ₭łⱠⱠɆĐ?"
Ashlyn is only half understandable in this state, but it's fine. D-16, and soon all of Kaon understands perfectly.
A scrappy deformed sparkling, likely originating from an unidentified hot spot, beat the odds and has chosen an ex-miner and soon full-time gladiator to be her sire/mentor. What a spark-warming story.
Oh yeah, and someone in Iacon is still hunting that human.
The end result would probably culminate in an overly suspicious Ashlyn accidentally causing a chain reaction that would lead to a Decepticon Orion Pax, a proper coup of the High Council, probably Emperor of Destruction Starscream, and Big Villian Shockwave. The Autobots would not exist. Does anyone want to try and theorize why?
D-16 would realize pretty quick that this tiny bundle of chaos isn't an actual sparkling, but it's an argument he'd use to keep her should any outside influences try and take Ashlyn away. Why? Because a highly intelligent and vicious mystery just dropped into his lap, and someone on the Council wants it really badly. That's more than enough of a justification.
Now, if only he could find out why the organic hates him so much... and why she's so valuable.
Now Ashlyn as a bot would be VERRRRRY different.
Same as the first, she pops up in Kaon (may or may not be a narrative reason for that (・ω<) )
Unlike the human version, the poor girl is caught almost immediately.
Turns out, stumbling around a foreign area, being unable to speak the language, and lacking identification doesn't get you the best treatment. Unfortunately, her more bestial-looking design doesn't help much either in a Functionist society.
Actually, the Enforcers processing her are pretty confused by it, the wings and taloned servos say Seeker, but the spines and fanged denta hint at something else completely... and the subject refuses, or is unable to, transform into an altmode...
Oh well, can't put it in a category, and then toss it out.
Flagging the weirdness for the bosses to deal with, the anomaly is sent to the mines, and a record containing her image and newly given designation is sent to the higher offices. YN-013 is soon forgotten.
Ashlyn, by the time she figures out written translations for Neocybex, finds the designation hilarious. Her fellow miners don't understand why she giggles when she introduces herself.
The mines are horrible, that much is undeniable, but at the same time, Ashlyn can't help but feel like it should be worse?
Her form proves adept at collecting energon, her claws far more efficient than the half-rusted pick-axe she's handed every day. The energon is easy to find too, almost like there's a sixth sense in her brain for where those shards are hiding.
She doesn't realize that the tunnels she's stationed in quickly gain a reputation for being more productive. That her peers end their days not quite as run down anymore. That miners switch shifts and bribe to be in the same branch of tunnels. She's quickly become an omen of good luck and temporary revival.
Ashlyn also doesn't realize that someone in Iacon is tearing through every rumor on Cyberton looking for her... or the organic her.
D-16 hears rumors about the newest unfortunate spark that's been sent to join them in the dark, but he doesn't believe it. Not until he sees it.
There is something about this individual that's different, maybe the stories are true. Solus reforged, perhaps? The missing Thirteenth? Or is this a new prime, come to save them and bring Cybertron back to its glory.
Ashlyn for her part is vibing collecting pretty rocks, and would prefer the future genocidal maniac to stay far away from her, please.
The not-yet-future-genocidal-maniac does not leave. Instead, he talks.
D-16 is actually the one that teaches her proper Neocybex, not the fragmented version she's been getting by with. In return, she tells him what the surface was like for the brief bit of time she was there.
Over time, the strange happenings around YA-013 are normalized and forgotten, but not by D-16. He knows she is not just some wild-forged thing that had the bad to stumble into the wrong city-state. He knows that she can't just be some bestial new-forged, because her optics are far too aware, too knowing. She hesitates, as though shuffling through information when she speaks. The alien babble she talks to herself in, while basic, is too natural to be anything but a primary language. Her smiles are sad even if the laughter is easy. She says things, and calls him Bucket Head, and Mega-arse.
She already knows who his favorite Prime is.
YN-013 never comments when he explains his plans to become a gladiator and gain his freedom. But he can feel the judgment. The resignation. Like she already knew. "Forget about me when you become one of the most famous bots to walk on Cybertron, yeah? Little old me will be nothing compared to the masses that'll scream your name."
YN-013 never talked about her own future, not in a way that sounds lasting. "I'd like to sightsee while I can. Never know when city walls will go tumbling down."
Megatronus doesn't forget her. Not in the Pits as he battles against foes and realizes how much healthier his frame is compared to his opponents, how much stronger, despite them all feeding off the same scraps. He doesn't forget as he meets an Archivist and hears all the snide jokes about his type being "boys in red and blue. Sweet nerds that take forever to commit to ending you."
Orion Pax, quickly becomes a close friend. Megatron never comments on his paint job. He's yet to see Pax exhibit anything but an agreeable and slightly excitable disposition... but he can't help but hold back even as he chides his own superstition.
"I don't think you'll have much luck in the friend department, Bucket. "
Why had he never gone back for her? Why had she never joined him in the arena?
"That's your origin story, D, and I'd hate to incinerate your undefeated record."
Megatron doesn't forget the stranger hidden in the mines. Not when he meets Orion's mentor, not when he stands before the Council, not as every veiled barb, sorrowful mutter, or hidden revelation comes true.
Even when he goes back for her and finds her gone, the Warlord never forgets the seer of the mines.
YN-013 had never realized, that just as D-16 had taught her a language, so too had she taught him hers. Every private word, every thoughtless exclamation, he remembered.
No, that unfortunate spark in the mines was not a wild-forged femme with bad luck. She was not a prime, remade, or replace. She was something different. A puzzle, a friend, an asset.
Lord Megatron, leader of the Decepticons, never forgot.
So how strange was it, to find a planet that spoke that same tongue?
The Autobots seek a relic and the Decepticons search for a seer. Optimus inherits a charge that can only be fulfilled through a missing person and Megatron wants closure to the fate and identity of someone he might've considered a friend.
Ashlyn struggles with guilt over choosing to not change the timeline and has been hiding on Earth since the last few centuries of the war. She's spawned more than a few stories in her wanderings, triggered some changes she never realized. A shifter who went rogue after a drunken conversation at a bar and never swore his loyalty. Bartering fuel with an Autobot vessel, allowing the Ark to avoid Decepticon Scouts and remain unharmed. A Prime who learned the truth about his predecessors early, and resolved to do more than simply restore his planet to what it used to be.
Ashlyn can't hide from the plot forever. War or not, things have changed, and now she's part of that story.

Heartstopper season 3 thoughts
Under the cut:
I love love love Tao and Elle and how much he cares for her and wants to do everything for her, but I do hope we'll get to see her do more of the same in season 4. Tao was very happy and in love this season, while we got to see more of his fears in the last, so I'm aware this was just this specific season, but I did notice how he was just dragging Elle along (and Elle mostly let herself be pulled along) without allowing her to do much for him in return. I think, since we're seeing Nick and Charlie trying to find more of a balance in their relationship (and Darcy and Tara doing a pretty good job with it from the glimpses we saw), it would be great to see that happening for Elle and Tao too!
I do love that we got to see even more of Elle this season with a mix of plot points that allowed us to get to know her even more.
While I would've loved for them to get more screen time, I think they did a pretty good job of naturally showing Darcy's gender journey alongside the rest of the things that were going on. I hope Kizzy got to work with them and do things how they wanted it to go (I know they talked to Alice about it a couple of years ago) and so maybe they just didn't want it to be a big deal.
Same goes for Tara's struggles. While I would've obviously loved to see her issues take up more screen time, I'm aware that they have many characters and not too much space, and seeing her struggle and learn how to deal with it was still lovely since it wasn't just brushed under the rug.
I LOVE TORI SPRING AND I'M SO EXCITED TO HAVE MET MICHAEL
I'm seeing so much discourse about how Charlie doesn't deserve Nick and that Nick always puts Charlie's mental health first etc etc and honestly shut up!!! They're making a great point about being there for someone who is struggling not necessarily meaning you have to or even can fix them. And Nick acknowledged his own struggles and I'm sure they will touch on them in season 4. It's about codependency and how they have to learn to be okay without each other too. Nick (or Tori, or any of their friends) doesn't see Charlie as a burden and the fact that some people think so makes me think the entire season just flew over your head. You deserve love and support when you're mentally sick AND when you're okay! They're communicating and learning how to navigate their relationship alongside the rest. Nick's issues aren't just ignored, but you also have to remember what Charlie's been through and how Nick doesn't always talk about how he's feeling. It's natural for Charlie to not notice everything and I'm sure they will get to that eventually.
I love Nick and Tara's friendship so muuuuch but it does make me think about the dynamics of the group. Like, would Charlie and Darcy ever hang out alone? (if they have, I've forgotten about it lol). Would Nick and Elle? They are so many and work well in groups, but it's just interesting to think of which one of them would hang out alone. Obviously Nick and Tara (and I love how Nick and Tao's relationship has evolved, but I just don't think they would purposely hang out alone), Charlie and Tao and Isaac and any combo of those three. But Nick always seems slightly awkward alone with others? Which would be interesting to explore, although I loved their little roadtrip.
I loved that Oliver got a cameo even though he's a cousin and not their brother in this one.
Loved seeing Imogen discover more about herself!! Part of me wants her and Sahar to get together, but another part of me kinda wants at least SOME characters to be single even if they're not aro/ace? Like come on now
Obviously loved the aro/ace rep, I love Isaac!!!
I had hoped we would dive into Tori's asexuality, but I feel like they're saving that for season 4 or a possible Solitaire adaptation??
All in all I wish I had these books/show when I was a teenager, but Alice Oseman is in fact only a year older than me so we can't have it all I guess
EDIT: OH MY GOD THAT SCENE WITH YOUNG MR FAROUK I NEARLY CRIED

Hello how you doing? ^-^
I have not checked tumblr in months but its always wonderful to see you to keep the gehrmaria space alive.. and I want to ask if you have hcs for how they both behave when the other is sick and needing care? Please and thank you dear friend ~
Hi anon! :D thank you a lot for the ask and checking in! You always put a smile on my face :) (Idk if you got other social media too that would be a pleasure to chat with you!)
I’m doing fine I would say. That depends the days.
And yeah I know I should do more on them! ejfssdhkfeihfkdskn
But yes I think you’ll be happy to know I have quite a few headcanons and ideas about this specific subject!
Well aside the AU where everyone is kinda alive and happy and they share a house, and sometimes got sick here*, I feel that in a more canon compliant setting they would rarely got sick thanks to the old blood. (*So yeah in AU they would be very sweet and patient and take care of each other when the other got sick for sure!)
Still with the hunt and all they would get hurt often and you can't always use old blood for every little scrape you got. You know you need to be careful with using old blood and all ;)
So at first I imagined when Maria got her first blood transfusion she stayed in a coma for maybe like 2 days. And her friends relay themselves at her bedside. So Gehrman did that for a huge part. (won't share all the context here but it's after facing off the keeper of the old lords! It was a a huge thing for her but she still decide to continue on the 3rd floor and Ludwig and Gehrman had to drag her back after getting KO by a gel enemy (you know the slime that fall on you)... she shouldn't have overdo it...
They did save each other lives from death situations more than once too! Even going as to carry the other on their back to get to safety! So yeah they got other others! (Yes Maria did that for Gehrman too!)
I always imagined Laurence was mainly the one to patch up and heal the old hunters who got hurt (logic) but as he got more busy and can't be everywhere, I feel they would all take care of one another and especially Maria and Gehrman being the more at ease with it (to heal the others).
I hc of course Laurence as a doctor or even surgeon (+priest lol) he is the best at sewing back skins for exemple but followed by Gehrman who's the second best! (I mean he can sew tissue very well so. Apparently it's not that far off! So now I imagined they trained together at Byrgenwerth on tissue and skins. Help ekdbd)
And then Maria learn it too. So, I imagined more than once, they might have sew back each other skins too! So yeah.
I had this silly idea... that show that they trust each other on that quite well. Like one day they are patching up, cleaning the scratches they got. It's just the 2 of them at the workshop. And at some point Maria's like : "hey hm... I got a pretty bad scar on my back hm would that be alright if you stitch it up?"
"Oh euh sure no problem."
"No I mean I need to take my shirt off... does that bother you?"
"OH! Hm... well we can wait for a nurse if that bother you..."
"No it's fine its it's you it's just... I understand if..that bother you...."
"Well... if that doesn't bother you... it's hm fine with me I think.."
"Alright..."
And it's awkward for like 2 mins before they start it. I mean it's fine she have her back to him and holding her shirt in front of her so it's ok. (wtf I am even talking about help)
Also Gehrman always have so tea or infusion for any kind of pain so he gave her a few remedy and receipt he have. But he love to prepare it too.
I also imagined that very occasionally Gehrman still got phantom pain in his leg/foot. Sometimes it's just slithy bothering or annoying but at times the pain is just too much. He can't do anything, just sitting there, gritting his teeth, almost on the verge of tears... waiting for it to pass. Somehow the better thing that smooth him is Maria presence. Talking to him and being with him. it helped the pain pass and being more beareble. (He never show that side of him to anyone but to her he did. They are here to help each other at when they're really not well. He did that for her too in the past until well.... When there were all the drama with Cainhurst and all for exemple.)
And last little thing hm. Still need to figure details but before she passed away, and clearly wasn't at her best, I imagined that maybe Gehrman did take care of her a bit. Making sure she sleeps and eat and all. Making sure she could donation and her own again. she did but well... you know how that end later. And he became slowly a giant mess without her presence...)
Sorry that's clearly not sweet so let's get back to the making soup and tea for each others and something 😭 patching up and telling the other to be careful not overdo it. Yeah that's better.
-----
Also I did try to draw something quick the other day too. It’s very messy I don’t think I did a very good job here. I didn’t wanted to post it at first.. But I figure it would still be nice to share to you and maybe others would still appreciate it as well! (I get what's like to be desperate for content and taking every lil bit so I can at least provide that!)
So there it is ^^
Have Gehrman patching her up and Maria calming him from phantom pain.

So. Transformers.
AAAAAAAAA-
So I got some OC ideas for this godforsaken fandom yipee. Not sure which continuity these guys will be in since I haven't got into them yet (I've only been exposed to the Bayverse, Earthspark and Prime (not the entire Alligned continuity)). But I think, with the ideas I have for them right now, they lean more towards Prime specifically. But as I get deeper into this robot rabbit hole, I'll make them more flexible so that they can exist in other incarnations. Probably.
But anyway, I'll be putting them in bullet points 'cause these plans aren't concrete yet. So here goes:
H-055/Hurricane/Horizon
Name is undecided, but it starts with an H
I'll probably change it if I somehow find a character with the exact same names, I know the series has loads of 'em
But anyway
He's a Decepticon turned rouge then turned Autobot once he meets the gang
Due to some events happening with the 'Cons, he ran away, declaring himself a deserter
He's based on a helicopter vehicle
Probably some fancy space lookin' helicopter before he got a makeover when he visits Earth (this is important)
I'm not sure yet on what his Alt-Mode's exact model will be, but it's either something like this (Sikorsky X2):
Or this (Sikorsky UH-60 Blackhawk):
Either way he's a helicopter boi
And he's moderately fast. Not as fast as the jet planes, but he's somewhat speedy
His role in the army was mostly cargo lifting, he's not much involved in the fight unless absolutely necessary
So in terms of personality, he's definitely textbook introvert
He'd rather stick to the sidelines than lead, so when it comes to task he's somewhat reliable
At the start, he can be kind of aloof and cold, but it's not intentional; he just doesn't know how to set up a proper conversation
In other words he's socially awkward
And he's somewhat infamous for looking one second away from falling to sleep; guy got eyebags (can robots have eyebags? Or is it optic-bags?) and moves kinda slow when not in combat, and and talks very softly
He takes a lot of naps, but the feeling of lethargy remains
Probably why his role in the army is not one of combat
But he's hella loyal, and very caring to those who earned his affections
Just try to remind him to take a break before he falls into pieces lol
Now, moving on to the next OC idea:
V-V0X/Velocity/Boombox
Name is also undecided, but it's one of those two
But anyway
He's an Autobot who specializes in support, where he essentially acts as a debuffer for the front liners, stunning enemies and creating hazards to make an opening for the army
That's the best way I can explain it
Anyway
For what vehicle he's based on, I'm still deciding on what kind; initially I wanted him to be a sports car, but then I was thinking of a pickup truck or a tow truck of some kind
Maybe something like this (Chevrolet Silverado):
Just like before, his Alt-Mode is possibly some futuristic looking car similiar to the picture above until he got a new make over
Anyway, onto personality
Hmmm
Best way I can describe him is that he's basically Pandreo from Fire Emblem, but more subdued
He's not as cheery as, say, Bumblebee or Jazz or Hot Rod or any other energetic character in their many incarnations, he's still noticeably lively
He has difficulties reading the room, especially when he's excited, so maybe that's why he's called rude
But nah man, he just wanna have fun
But he's also kinda scared of authority? In a way? I don't know how to describe it, but he'll get kind of scared when in the presence of someone like Optimus Prime and even Megatron
Just basically people with a noticeable air of authority around them
Heck, maybe he'll even be scared of someone like Ratchet or Bumblebee, even
Even with that, he cares alot for his friends, he'll try and comfort them in whatever ways he can, like music
This guy really loves music, especially when he encounters Earth music
He's definitely the type of guy to jam to some rock music with an air guitar all obnoxiously lol
Conclusion; he babey
Alright, that's all I have. For each of their lore, I'm still trying to work the kinks out, 'cause WOW Transformers has so many things I didn't even know about. Like, Velocitron, Praxus, Kaon, and all that jazz (heh)? Titans? Predacons? Eukarians? I don't even know at this point lol.
But anyway.
So like I mentioned before, these 2 guys' story will primarily take place in the Prime universe (or the Alligned universe, I guess) since that's what I'm most familiar with for now. The gist of it is;
Hurricane runs away from the 'Cons, Velocity gives chase, they both crash landed onto Earth at different times with Hurricane being the first to enter, when they found each other they got damaged badly by an intense hurricane (which is where Hurricane got his name from), they got found by their designated human partner and got fixed up, some plot happens, they all bond, Hurricane decides to join the Autobots, and he and Velocity leaves their human to keep them safe and to explore the world as they search for more Autobots together.
And also they fell in love and became Conjux's together, I don't make the rules.
Also also they landed in Florida. Just because.
That's all I got for now, I'll make another post once I got more stuff for them, like their lore and all tht stuff. Until then, take care!
#if anyone is willing to like#teach me more about transformers lore#then by all means please do lol#and i havent even mentioned the comics yet#wonderful#transformers#transformers prime#tfp#transformers oc#tfp oc#also if anyone can 👉👈help me expand my oc ideas#then 👉👈#ehe 👉👈

Hello! Uhm, I'm kinda awkward when it comes to asking, but I was curious if you had any thoughts on earthspark arcee? You dont have to answer if you dont to, and I do wish you a good day/or night ^^
Good day/night, dear anonymous!
I've finally been able to finish your ask - I'm sorry that it has taken so much time to complete it. Also I apologize if it's not as long as you wanted - so, I can come up with ideas on a specific plot if you wish!
Hope you enjoy!
🔥Arcee
At first this young fem appears "on the stage" as a reckless teenager, but, objectively, she is an experienced warrior and a brilliant psychologist. Despite her energetic, hyperactive character she knows when it's time to slow down and act seriously. So, I think she can be a good comforting pred; of course, in the beginning she will try to cheer you up with some ordinary methods, but, if it's clear that the situation has already gone too far, she won't ask much - Arcee will just let you climb on her hand, lift you up and gently swallow down her fueltank (the robotic girl is always very caring and thoughtful with her prey). Then, when you're ready, she will speak to you with no one else around and work on the trauma, stroking her middle - or just holding a servo on it - to soothe and reassure you. Her voice can be too loud and harsh sometimes and Arcee undoubtedly knows that - so, she will turn it down a little while you are inside of her body. Although, as far as your spirit gets up, she won't resist some innocent joking and teasing, but they won't ever be even slightly insulting.
Also, the fem loves to be given rubs and compliments about her "inner space" - Arcee gets all flustered then, and she isn't shy to express it, returning the favour and thanking you for such a nice attitude. But I think her fueltank is quite sensitive and ticklish, so it's better for a prey to be careful if they don't wanna make her feel sick.
She is not as protective as other bots - I think, it's because the fem is able to recognise when someone is in shape to handle a trouble by themselves; so, I suppose, devouring someone for defence would be a rare thing in her case. Moreover, being inside Arcee during a battle wouldn't be a pleasant experience - the way she moves doesn't give a prey any chance to stay safe and sound while she's jumping, running and fighting like she usually does...
However, she has a great potential for being a playful pred. The fem will definitely guble you up as a prize for winning the game you both played! Also, she don't mind some specific games like a chase or hide-and-seek - these ones are good for training... and for appetite. At such moments she will definitely enjoy herself, shamelessly tasting and tossing a prey around in her mouth, sinking them into slime, giggling and humming as they wriggle on her slippery glossa; after they are securely tucked in her "stomach", she will praise them with some cute, humorous phrases, like: "Mmm! Humans are much better than energon - perhaps, we should eat you instead, ha? Just kidding!.."
Arcee wouldn't be be too open about where her partner is if they are inside her fueltank - she wouldn't reveal anything until it appeared to be necessary; or until you made her so annoyed that she wouldn't be able to ignore you messing any longer without some comments. She simply doesn't see any point in bringing up the situation with no reason, moreover, that it could make you feel embarrassed or unsafe among others later. But everyone will notice that Arcee refuses to show her full speed and force and behaves too cautiously on days her human friend doesn't seem to stick around...

✨️ writer questionnaire ✨️
Thank you @agirlandherquill tagging me!
✨️My ao3 is tagged in the pinned post on my blog!✨️

About Me:
When did you first start writing?
I've been writing stories since I could string sentences together, and we always had to write creative stories in school, but I didn't seriously start to write until I was in about the 6th or 7th grade. I started out writing kpop rpf lollllll.
Are the genres/themes you enjoy reading different from the ones you write?
I write mostly romance in different forms, which I do love to read, but I also read a wide variety of genres. I enjoy reading classics that expand into things like tragedies and adventure, and I also love reading horror and murder mysteries, which I haven't written before. I might one day, though...
Is there an author (or just a fellow writer!) you want to emulate, or one to whom you're often compared?
Not that I can think of. I probably pick up different styles of writing as I read, but I don't have specific names in mind when I write. Though, it really depends on what I'm writing. All of my novels have different styles of writing depending on who the narrator is. And if I'm writing a fanfic based off of a book, I'll try to emulate their style to the best of my ability. I think it's really fun!
Can you tell me a little about your writing space(s)? (Room, coffee shop, desk, etc.)
My writing spaces is wherever I can strike up the motivation to write. In class, when riding in a car, when chilling at home. Though, most of my writing happens when I'm laying in bed, trying to sleep or just waking up.
What's your most effective way to muster up some muse?
I get ideas when I listen to music, read others' writing, and watch TV. Songs often give me ideas for stories, especially by artists who make great pining songs like Conan Gray and Taylor Swift. But I can get inspiration for stories from literally anything. Too many ideas and not enough motivation to write them.
Did the place(s) you grew up in influence the people and places you write about?
I would say a little. Most of my ideas take place in cities, unlike the rural town I live in. Though, my characters often have upbringings like that: homophobic parents in a small town. And most of my characters also live in suburbs, so.
Are there any recurring themes in your writing, and if so, do they surprise you at all?
Yes, pining. All of my characters pine after someone at some point, whether in my original stories or my fanfics. And no, it doesn't surprise me because I'm someone who pines a lot. I have a gf, and I still pine after her, so I'm pretty much a lost cause at this point.
-
My Characters:
Would you please tell me about your current favourite character? (Current WIP, Past WIP, Never Used, etc)
It would have to be Christian Laine, the main character from my current WIP Soup of the Day. He's a single dad struggling to get his life back together a few years after his divorce. He's awkward and terribly repressed and possibly autistic. He just wants to get out of his house and make friends who aren't his four year old daughter, but he was always bad at that, and he definitely does not know how to do that now as a 34 year old. He'll figure it out. Eventually.
Which of your characters do you think you'd be friends with in real life?
I'd love to be Christian's friend! But probably Marquis from my last WIP Neighbors Can Be So Hostile, Right? He's friendly and a little snarky and very gay. I'd make him cook for me, but I'd sit and let him tell me all about his plants. I think that's a fair trade.
Which of your characters would you dislike the most if you met them?
Uhhhh, probably Evan in Soup of the Day. He's kinda rude and probably wouldn't like me anyways.
Tell me about the process of coming up with one, all, or any of your characters.
I usually start stories in my head, and the characters evolve depending on what personality fits the plot the best. I always treat my characters as real people and try to come up with the most realistic person I can—someone who could be encountered anywhere and is relatable. I try to give my main characters traits that are interesting and distinctive, and my love interests are usually complements to them (but are able to stand as their own characters). I love instilling my characters with things that will make them lovable, and I think they're all somewhat an extension of myself.
Do you notice any recurring themes/traits among your characters?
Almost all of my main characters are men, which needs to be changed. Oh, and most of them have at least one parent who don't support them/a difficult childhood. Other than that, not really. Oh, well, they're all queer.
How do you picture them? (As real people you imagined, as models/actors who exist in real life, as imaginary artwork, as artwork you made or commissioned, anime style, etc)
I picture them all as real people. I struggle a little imagining their faces (but I can describe them), but the rest of them I can see clearly. They have their own characteristics and styles.
-
My Writing:
What's your reason for writing?
I write because I love it. I love bringing ideas and people to life, and I love sharing them with others. Even if I never write anything down, I'll always create stories in my mind. I might as well capture them.
Is there a specific comment or type of comment you find particularly motivating coming from your readers?
Anything, really! All of it means so much to me.
How do you want to be thought of by those who read your work? (For example: as a literary genius, or as a writer who "gets" the human condition; as a talented world builder, as a role model, etc)
I just want my readers to think I write stuff for their enjoyment because that's a part of why I share my work.
What do you feel is your greatest strength as a writer?
Coming up with ideas is by far my greatest. I have docs and docs of ideas. My inspiration comes from anything and everything.
What have you been frequently told your greatest writing strength is by others?
Writing feelings and injecting them into my stories. I'm glad they come across correctly!
How do you feel about your own writing? (Answer in whatever way you interpret this question)
I enjoy my writing! I tend to write what I like to read, so you can find me rereading over my own stories often. Sometimes I wish I had a more elegant style, but most of my stories don't call for that, I don't worry about it.
If you were the last person on earth and knew your writing would never be read by another human, would you still write?
Absolutely. Otherwise, the ideas would plague me, and I would never get anything done. I'd probably get more writing done, to be honest. I have to keep myself fed, after all.
When you write, are you influenced by what others might enjoy reading, or do you write purely what you enjoy? if it's a mix of the two, which holds most influence?
It's a mix; I write what I like and hope others enjoy it, too. But ultimately, I write what I enjoy. I tell myself stories to past time and entertain myself, and then I might write them down. That's usually my process. But I always think about how there's probably at least one other person that would enjoy this, too, so I share it.

AiPri episode 2
Well. I watched it.
I still find the lack of an audience super awkward. Makes me wonder if this series was first conceived during the pandemic, when they thought performing online was going to be the future of idol activities...
Buzzilume is apparently a new system that only activates based on the audience reaching max enjoyment. None of the student council members have been able to trigger it yet. They seemed surprised that it happened in the last episode, and this is why.
It's the green-haired one that has the Kansai accent. I knew it. WAIT. That's Sora Tokui right!? She sounds so much like Nico except... Kansai. AHHHH. (Possible favorite.)
Sakura says the AiPri bracelet Himari has is a new kind. So Himari DID steal it from the student council!
Himari tries to return it, but the student council says they are gonna produce her instead. If it gets out that a student did Buzzilume Change it will reach the principal, and they aren't supposed to be doing AiPri stuff while at school? I think? (She's not saying 禁止, she's saying like 自習 or 自主??)
So Himari has to keep it a secret. I see. AiPri isn't inherently a secret, it's just this specific situation??
So, it turns out that Himari and Mitsuki promised to debut together when they were young, but both of them broke the promise.
They are roommates. Making for a very awkward confrontation when Himari gets home....
OH NO. STOP. REALLY. ARE WE REALLY DOING THIS.
Himari lies to Mitsuki about debuting. So, Mitsuki, who wanted to apologize for breaking the promise, doesn't get to say anything.
So both of them are keeping their debut a secret even though they both clearly know.
UUGGGHGH
(this is like worst case scenario for me. please let it resolve within this episode.....)
Is Himari eating cheesecake for breakfast.
(Okay I guess it's pound cake. Or toast... maybe...... I didn't see the full crust until I went back to pause it. It really looked like cheesecake when she was biting into it.)
Himari decides to do the right thing, only to find she can't because the student council is stalking her....................
Meanwhile, Mitsuki goes to talk to her brother. Apparently the reason she debuted before Himari is because she wanted to "research" AiPri first for Himari. So she says, anyway.
Himari goes to talk to her brother too. She doesn't explain the full details but he's also basically just like JUST TELL HER
But when Himari goes to find Mitsuki, Mitsuki has already entered AiPri verse and we get to see her transformation animation.
She leaves a note for Himari telling her to watch Miichan on AiPri Verse.
Chii performs first though... FOR A THREE SECOND CLIP. THEY PUT THAT IN THE LAST EPISODE'S PREVIEW. AND IT WAS LIKE THREE SECONDS.
HER SONG WAS ACTUALLY GOOD TOO. MY FAVORITE SO FAR.
Damn Chii really is just a joke isn't she............. I didn't feel bad for her being ignored in the last episode but now I kinda do.
The make-up portion of coord change reminds me so much of Sailor Moon. They showed off nails (and lips too I think?) during transformations because they were selling nail polish, etc. I guess that's another reason I do like the make-up toys.
The actual coord change sequence is shorter though, which is a little disappointing. The whole coord is on one card, after all (for the main AiPri game) but she's just kinda passively floating in space as the coord appears on her.....
Miichan gets Buzzilume Change!
(Ow my eyes.)
(Like I'm not even kidding I had to shrink the window. Those lasers hurt.)
Mii beats Chii!
After the performance, Miichan announces she's changing her name to Mitsuki and quickly returns to confront Himari on... on her bed.
Mitsuki apologizes for debuting first. She wanted to study AiPri, but got carried away when she started having fun and realized she really wanted to be an AiPri. Himari gives her a headbonk and tells her the magic words her brother taught her, "I'm sorry." So Himari apologizes as well for debuting and keeping it a secret.
They realize they both had the same secret. So now it's their secret.
Mitsuki still won't tell Himari what she's gonna broadcast on her channel though heh.
(And now they are probably gonna have to fight the student council if they wanna be a team.)
Anyway, I'm glad Himari keeping her debut a secret from Mitsuki only lasted one episode.
Also glad Mitsuki changed her name. Earlier in the episode I was like umm are we gonna have Mii, Chii, and Hii?? Hmm. I was thinking Himari would just use her own name now that Mitsuki is but then again.... SECRETS.
Welp. I'm still not really feeling this, but I will keep watching. Especially um for... (okay I'll look up the name) Airi! Not that I know much about her yet just LOVE THE VOICE.
I also find it interesting how Rinrin (Lin-Lin?) has long fluffy hair IRL but ties it up when she's an AiPri. You never see that HAHA. Ahhh I can't wait to meet them hahah... Himari and Mitsuki are so bland and they make it hard to take Chii seriously.
Is this Chii's villain origin story right now omg that would be great.

ALRIGHT, ANTIRAD LORE!!!
This will be more of a collection of thoughts and texts, with occasional proper writing, because I haven't compiled it into one text yet, so if some wording is a bit awkward, and thoughts seem to jump back and forth, that is why, please bear with me! :D
This is gonna be a long read, over 2k words.
I have also started writing an actual fic about it, if you're interested:
But without further ado, let's dive into it!
Anti-Radical becoming more and more Radical, catching odd glances from his Centrist allies, but he denies being radical wholeheartedly.
Idk how long you can deny your radicalisation into a different ideology, my friend.
He secretly survived Ancap shooting him, retreating out of Centricity to a secluded place, patching himself up, however becoming increasingly angry with more and more undeniably radical thoughts that stopped fully coming from the place of his supposed original ideological reasoning, and a genuine, deep rage.
Imaging his skin tone shifting to more fit the one of a radical ideology and he gets so scared by that, ripping him out of his spiralling thoughts and pushes him to return to the Centrists, scared of what he would become if he kept himself isolated.
It's interesting, he obviously is against any and all radicals but also I feel after almost being killed & his plans being foiled he hates Ancap just a bit more than all the other radicals.
He tries to hide the places of his body that have started to shift in color. Imagine the eye behind his eye patch despite still being blind, has changed color as well.
He's denying it himself so hard and also tries to keep it from the other Centrists.
He totally still fits into the Overton Window, totally doesn't believe all radicals, especially Ancaps, should be exterminated or subjugated, and a totalitarian-esque system (of course he'd never call it that, totalitarian is a radical word after all) should be put in place that ensures everyone be non-radical too.
Pshhh, he would never, who would support a weird twisted Centrist version of Fascism, not him.
He would be... well, off-compass. Not in any of the quadrants since he wants all of them to die.
Him turning on the Centrists because they're too radical in being complacent.
Tempted to make his eyes red simply based on his stronger hatred for Ancap specifically.
Man, imagine while he's still in strong denial, he meets another extremist who just kinda pauses, eyes him up and down, and goes, "...you're not a centrist.. i don't know WHAT you are" (they can feel the shift in his energy, clearly different from the mellow one most Centrists have, but also distinct from the vibe the other extremists give off).
THIS NEXT LITTLE TEXT MIGHT BE DUE TO CHANGE!!!
AntiRad losing it during one of their Centrist meetings and pointing his knife at Moderate Lee for "radical complacency" (not being unradical™ enough to be anti-radical)
He then gets toppled by the other Centrists, narrowly escaping being killed (again) as he was already being scrutinized and now has been classified as a threat since he has "gone off the deep end" and is clearly not a regular Centrist anymore
The other Centrists are very distressed at AntiRad being lose, clearly now being a threat, they can't quite calculate/place.
Moderate Lee is especially shook, wondering what happened to him to become like this :(
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
AntiRad escaping from Centricity, getting out of the Overton Window, but not really finding a safe space to stay and patch himself up for a while cuz yk, there's a war going on, so in his desperation he slips through the cracks, completely out of the compass.
The void found beyond seems to seep into the cracks of his mind, his identity, using his emotions of his ostracization to further corrupt who he used to be.
Beyond the compass, its a no man's land, just before passing into the realm of the off compass.
I'd imagine there are gateways that connect the two properly, but obviously, AntiRad wouldn't know about them
He'd make it through though, (part) of his self warped and yet not destroyed, his ideological sense already being unreal enough beforehand to make it.
I'd imagine some ideologies that are deeply rooted in reality and sense in some way or form would completely lose themselves in that no man's land, not being built to survive in this "antimatter."
Essentially, going to the realm of the off compasses just sealed his fate of losing his former ideology and becoming something else.
Imagine despite being extremely scared Moderate Lee tries to find him and talk to him.
When Moderate Lee follows him he's gonna get himself some help though, probably overcoming his fear and asking one of the fringe ideologies that switches back and forth between the realms, who could guide him to one of the safe gateways.
Technically, Post-Left is kind of a fringe ideology like that, which is interesting.
AntiRad, you should've just asked around instead of going on your own
I know you were very wounded and having a breakdown, losing touch with yourself and reality and all that, but come on...
AntiRad being torn between trusting Moderate Lee and not doing it because he knows that the guy is literally just doing what he's told with no sense of loyalty (or so he thinks...)
I'm in favour of giving Moderate Lee some character development, too.
Imagine AntiRad's now black parts lowkey melting when he gets really worked up or spirals into the insanity that is his new off compass ideology, cuz his body wasn't originally meant to fit into this category of ideology.
I also had the thought of the gunshot scars AntiRad has turning black first since that whole deal was kind of the catalyst for his descend
Imagine ModLee seeing his limb kinda melt or crack and is like !!! D: & tries to help him, telling him to calm down (please)
AntiRad getting kind of shocked/scared by that happening to his body, stumbling into ModLee's touch and letting him guide him to sit down & try to care for him.
ModLee tries soo hard to calm AntiRad, make him come home, saying that they could explain things and that it isn't too late, while AntiRad spirals further into madness
Being off compass slowly messing with ModLee too cuz he's very clearly not supposed to be there at all, especially not for extended periods of time
ModLee staying by AntiRad's side even though being in this place is slowly destroying him
You've stopped being a complete coward, but at what cost, in this moment, it would be the right idea to run back home
ModLee tries to hide whatever it is that's happening to him (not decided on that yet) and it only becomes obvious to AntiRad once it's already pretty bad.
RADCEN MENTION TEEHEE
I had the most insane idea when listening to a song... imagine AntiRad yk goes completely insane and off the deep end, becomes a serious and active threat to everyone... and then in the end its ModLee who actually literally backstabs AntiRad to stop him, finally realising that he can't fix him
The sadness and regret on ModLee's eyes that only worsens when AntiRad turns back with so much shock and hurt and betrayal on his face
ModLee catching him in his arms, sitting down as AntiRad slowly bleeds to death and disintegrates
He hugs him and cries until there's nothing left in his arms but empty space.
AntiRad spluttering "why would you" and "what did I do" and "I trusted you", before he slowly regains some clarity right before his proper, final death, apologising to ModLee for all that had happened and then AntiRad had abandoned the man ModLee begged him to be, ModLee thought he was, and thought he could become again
Oughhh these two... even worse if they did actually start loving each other, but ModLee knew that AntiRad would destroy everyone and everything if he didn't stop him.....
"I thought we... I thought you–"
AntiRad realising before dying that ModLee was right to kill him, and that part of him did it because he loved him, and couldn't stand to see him become even worse.
AntiRad getting extremely panicked and anxious as he's close to dying because he already experienced it once and is horrified that he won't be back this time, so ModLee hugs him even tighter and tries his best to soothe him
So sad too because ModLee tried so hard, he tried everything to try and save AntiRad, to bring him back, to help him get better... but nothing worked so it was his last resort.
AntiRad & ModLee having some genuine good, loving and soft moments which shows ModLee that there is some good in him. AntiRad still has pieces in him that are the man ModLee saw, but it was never enough. And now he has to live with the fact that he also killed that good forever
We were talking about ideologies and death, saying that they most likely would be borderline immortal, so I came up with an idea that deviates from that a little:
Maybe if ideologies are extremely fringe and barely have followers then they have a chance of dying permanently. The more fringe the higher the chance
Because Anti-Rad has become something else, something that's more of a fictional ideology than a real one, ModLee and everyone else was 100% sure that that would be it for him & he was truly dead. But imagine that through his violent transition into this different ideology and his travel through the void beyond the compass, he was kind of forged into an anomaly that prevails in spite of it all
So he eventually comes back, reforming where he died, the site now abandoned, with only a small, but relatively fresh bouquet of flowers and a little arrangement of rocks to symbolise his grave...
ModLee brought him new flowers all the time still and sometimes he sat there and cried for him.
Imagine just moments after AntiRad wakes up and takes everything in there's a scream, and he turns around to see ModLee, dropping the new flowers he brought with his hands clasped over his mouth, looking as if he might faint.
On the other hand I also like the thought of Anti-Rad isolating himself, but there being some trace of his return around the grave that ModLee notices and goes kind of insane over it.
Man Anti-Rad's physical form becoming so unstable because of his ideological standpoint seemingly shifting again after his death, now being sad and beaten down, lacking that anger that once burned holes into his belly (metaphorically)
He feels as if coming back to life after what had happened to him was the cruelest punishment, because what is he supposed to do now? He lost his knife, hunting after his supposed cause now seems pointless, he barely remembers what it was anyway? It's as if his mind is scrambled and he doesn't know what or who he is and what he'd stand or fall for.
Meanwhile ModLee is convinced that AntiRad is alive again and everyone else thinks that he's finally lost it.
Thinking about AntiRad not having his knife anymore genuinely stressing him out and worsening his identity crisis because that was such an integral part of him, his cause and expression of ideology
With it gone it feels as if he's lost an integral part of himself...
The Centrists abandoning AntiRad & leaving him for dead after Ancap shot him...
Most did so because they thought he was done for and didn't actually think they could save him
But my brain wants to make RadCen bad... and make him leave AntiRad out of malice....
Ever since that Libunity fic where RadCen stabbed Post Left.......... he is...... so evil...
And also lowkey just in general???
I have no issue seeing RadCen committing atrocities and smiling about it
He left AntiRad to die because he feared his powers, he worried that he might turn against them, against HIM eventually. He didn't know what that knife would do to him if it ever drew his blood
And that risk greatly outweighed the loss of AntiRad's powers
I really love the notion in Centricide that RadCen never cared about any of the Centrists... yeah...
RadCen didn't show it but when AntiRad returned to Centricity, still very much alive, he both got worried and even more grim.
I like to imagine that when AntiRad snapped, it was actually RadCen egging him on, literally pushing him over the edge, so that he would blow up, and he'd get another excuse to get rid of him once and for all... with the one issue that AntiRad escaped once again
RadCen realised how AntiRad had become even more unstable and played into that.......
Man, AntiRad having genuine trust issues because he knew that the other Centrists just left him for dead, and then finally begins to trust ModLee again just for him to be the one to kill him...
The lyrics to the song I listened to that gave me the idea for this whole thing are:
"Farewell Wanderlust, you've been ever so kind
You brought me through this darkness, but you left me here behind
And so long to the person you begged me to be
He's down, he's dead
Now take a good long look at what you've done to me
He's down, he's dead
He's gone, oh he's lost
He's flown, he's fled
So take a good long look at what you've all done to me."
And I can't help but imagine the "Farewell Wanderlust you've been ever so kind" to be about AntiRad being with the Centrists, being friends w/ them & feeling at home
And then "you brought me through this darkness but you left me here behind" being still him reminiscing about what they'd been through together, including the start of the centricide, until the betrayal of them leaving him for dead......
Them beginning to bring him through the darkness, but leaving him behind before they're fully out of it....
"Now take a good long look at what you've done to me" AntiRad stepping into the barrier into the anti-matter that connects the compass to the off-compass... the instrumental showing a bunch of scenes from AntiRad attacking the Centrists, to him attacking Post Left and then his rise to power in the off compass, the ideologies he's vanquished or altered....
"He's down, he's dead | he's gone, oh he's lost | he's flown, he's fled" ModLee trying to talk to him as AntiRad approaches a sort of "stage" (not an actual stage but yk like a high point to look down on the field below), with the extremists, some centrists and some other ideologies looking up at him....
"So take a good long look at what you've all done to me" is something AntiRad yells at them, ready to finally engage in his ultimate carnage
And then the last few musical notes is ModLee stabbing him in the back.... AntiRad looking back at him with shock... the ideologies below being just as shocked as he was....
The last shot being AntiRad falling backwards onto ModLee....
THAT'S IT FOR NOW!!!!
(kind of I have more bits and pieces but pshhh)
hello maue! ive seen you talking about helluva boss and hazbins character design and the like, so i was wondering if you could critique the character designs from the game doll eye? specifically the main three characters: alfred, mystery and kao. i have my own opinions about the subject matter, but im curious to see what yours are.
Interesting!
So right off the bat, I'd like to highlight a major issue all three designs have. Fun game for those at home: Without looking it up, guess the species of each of these characters.
(Answers below the cut)
Left to right: Alfred- Shiba Inu. Dr. Mystery- Oriental Longhair cat. Kao- Ram.
If you answered all three correctly, congrats! That's three more than I did. Alfred much more closely resembles a fox or coyote than a Shiba Inu (and his nose is so tiny I actually thought he was human at first glance). Dr. Mystery looks... somewhat feline, but the thick, striped tail reminded me more of a raccoon. And my gut reaction to Kao was "mouse", judging by what I thought were his gray cheeks, pink nose, and whiskers. And that's the thing: A character's species should be so clear that your gut reaction will be correct. If viewers can't see the resemblance, the design isn't communicating the information it should.
Another thing is that their poses are a bit boring since they're too symmetrical; like tell me you used symmetry mode without telling me you used symmetry mode. A symmetrical pose for a character is fine for orthographic/turnaround sheets so you know how they look from a perfect front view, but for a main pose it's kinda stiff and doesn't show much personality. It gels okay with the art style, which appears to be very flat and graphic. But there's no harm in giving even heavily-abstracted characters a little dimension.
Lastly, these designs are extremely bottom-heavy, with the feet taking up a disproportionate amount of space. Because of this huge disparity of visual "weight" between the feet and faces, our eyes keep moving to the feet, which isn't ideal. Generally (not always, but the vast majority of the time), you'll want to direct the most attention to the character's face, as the face expresses the most emotion. "The eyes are the windows to the soul" and all that. What are feet the window to? Blisters?
Anyway, here are my notes on how the designs are working on an individual level.
See, the thing about making a symmetrical drawing is, you better make sure one side doesn't have any awkward tangents, or they'll reflect on the other side as well.
And now, here's how I would redesign Alfred:
I mainly just made the face and ears look more Shiba-like, made the tail more prominent in the silhouette, and shrunk down his legs and feet a tad so the proportion gap between them and the face isn't so huge. I experimented with keeping the shaggy hair on the sides of the face, but it made him look more like a wolf or a Husky, and Shibas have pretty short fur. Also, I realized his shoes looked a lot like work boots, which wouldn't make much sense for a teacher to wear in a school setting. So I replaced them with dress shoes, which would be more appropriate for the environment.
Now let's look at Kao:
Not much of a change on this one. I lengthened his face, enlarged his horns so they're more visible, puffed up his collar to make room for his pointy chin and mouth, and did away with the ear. At first I thought just making it smaller would suffice, as its huge size was part of why I thought this guy was a mouse at first. But there's a lot going on up there already, so in the end I figured it would make things simpler if his ears weren't visible. I also incorporated eyelids that imply where his pupil-less eyes are looking.
Finally, Dr. Mystery.
The first order of business was determining the facial structure. Oriental Longhair cats have long faces and defined cheekbones, so I wanted that to come through in the drawing. The ears and bangs are now simplified, and the layering of the lab coat, pants, and tail makes much more sense. I also added a streamlined version of the tail fringe I drew in the initial redline, and separated the boots from the pants. The Meowth whiskers are gone; while they did provide a strong hint that Mystery is a cat, the face already has enough going on with the eyelashes, the bangs crossing over it, and the mouth jutting out at the side. I do think this version reads as "cat" without whiskers, but if they prove necessary, a simple line for each should do the trick.
In all three I tried to stay faithful to the angular, abstracted art style while making their species more clear and making certain features more logical and/or readable. This was a fun challenge! Thanks for asking!
Shadow is the coolest!!!
(Spoilers ahead)
STAGES: Eye candy, super fun and fluid.
My totally subjective judgement:
1. Chaos Island (It's a whole vibe and slightly scratches the part of brain that wishes Shadow could've appeared in Frontiers somehow. Ironically my least favorite full island in Frontiers... Speaking of, that was my first Sonic game besides TMOSTH so naturally I'm biased.)
2. Space Colony Ark (Currently all S-ranked, very fun and iconic location. After watching the demo players and waiting so long, finally being in it was so unreal.)
3. Sunset Heights (it's just delicious, I want to eat it)
4. Kingdom Valley (Utterly gorgeous and fun. Doom Surf parts were a little awkward, but don't take away from it much. I'm still salivating, so to speak.)
5. Radical Highway (I'm mad at this stage for skill checking me rn but... it's still the SA2 level remade... so cool. Expected to be hard as the last stage. The wonkiness caused by the game's story kinda takes away from the stage's original vibes for me though.)
6. Rail Canyon (Being at the bottom doesn't mean I don't love it, it just doesn't stand out as much as the others and... a lot of rail gaming as a given, y'know.)
BOSS FIGHTS: Biolizard and Mephiles are great, I'd rather not go through Metal Overlord again (I likely will), but visually it's cool. The gameplay of that was... not my forte. I didn't play '06 so the Mephiles fight in particular was a treat.
CONTROLS: Smooth!!! Doom Morph is kinda slippery sometimes, and I struggle with the sliding sections in Radical Highway. They're not Cyberspace, not Sonic Generations, but a secret third thing. (Somewhat an adaption of Overworld Frontiers controls to an evolution of Sonic Generations type level design? Something to that effect.)
CUT SCENES: My emotions grahh! I got no issues with the writing I can think of. I for one, enjoy the references, which were placed well imo. Overall, it's just really nice to see Shadow be an actual character.
GRAPHICS: Looks fine on the Switch, though I imagine it might be scaled down in places, I don't notice if anything is off. Didn't notice any stuttering, pop-in, or anything like that. I did have moments where the pause menu would freeze while I was scrolling through stages, not sure what that's about.
EXTRAS:
If you've played the game, White Space speaks for itself. It's great.
The 2D acts are fun wtf??? They flow so well? Sorcery! (Some parts of the 2D sections of Act 1 in Sonic Gens mess up my enjoyment of the stages.)
Missions are well done, as pretty much just tests of stage running skill, none of them making me want to punch the screen or just feel like I'm doing a chore as with several of the missions in Sonic Gens.
I don't like chasing music notes. [Redacted] those. The ones where you have to platform to a specific place where they're waiting for you are fine. Me problem though.
I sense if I try to improve my ranks I'm gonna have a love/hate relationship with the ranking system. I don't know yet if it's mostly based on time, but it certainly seems less generous than Sonic's.
Surprised at the lack of minibosses, it seemed like a fair number of people were expecting there to be. After playing most of the game... it makes sense though.
Next Session: Devil Doom...
#sonic x shadow generations#mentioning: I played OG Sonic gens 100% all achievements on Steam but I will try it with the new control scheme eventually#sxsg#shadow the hedgehog#sonic x shadow generations spoilers#sxsg spoilers#shadow generations
hi! so i was wondering if you could do one those jotaro x you hcs, any part is fine! (both sfw and nsfw 👉👈)
physically im small built, and have long brown hair. im quite pale and have dark eyes.
tho i look lowkey fragile im told im persuasive and usually like to lead, but im very soft spoken and gentle.
i really like philosophy and psychology and would LOVE to hear the one and only ocean man rant about his favourite subjects too.
Jotaro x you ✨
This will be fairly neutral, but reader would be a bottom, if this is something you're uncomfortable with, tell me and I'll change it
Also this leans more towards college!Jotaro? In the space between part 3 and 4, after Egypt, before Morioh
*Jotaro is the blue text
>To Jotaro, you kinda look like a doll
>He's huge compared to average person, so he isn't new to towering over the others
>But you look honestly like a bunny and he's kinda wary not to break you when you two meet
>He notices how your personality is strong without coming off as aggressive in the process, you're gentle, but you can stand out for yourself without help
>He's not really the social butterfly type, so I think you become part of the few people he can tolerate having around him
>Until he notices people flirting with you and realizes he doesn't want you as just anyone else, you're special to him
>But he won't do anything about it, and if it wasn't for you taking the lead, it would have stayed that way
>He probably realizes he crossed the line between "I kinda like them" and "I'm in love with them" when you showed genuine interest in what he likes, and add your own knowledge to the mix
> He was focused on a project, specifically about Eels
> "Did you know Freud was obsessed with proving male eels existed?"
> "Sounds rather unproductive, they're genderless most of their life"
> "Yeah, but he didn't knew that, maybe he wouldn't have killed so many if he knew"
> "He still would have done it." Jotaro's response surprised you, you would have expected the conversation to end after that, specially because he sounded, philosophical? Was he actually listening to you all the time?
> He continued "He knew eels reproduced sexually, because he knew females existed. He didn't want to prove they existed, he just wanted to find one to feel better, when you're researching something you love, the last thing in your mind is to kill them. People just can't accept some creatures want to be left alone"
> He sounded rather serious, you felt uneasy thinking that may be a hint, Jotaro knew you liked him, and he seemed to reciprocate, but you were at that situationship stage right now, so you were straight forward
> "Do you wish to be left alone?"
> "Most of the time, yes. I don't want to be dissected so people can say they know things about me for the sake of knowing, without any concern for how they get it"
> You just muttered a apology and tried to left, embarrassed
> Jotaro panicked. "I wasn't talking about you..."
> "I really want to get what you're saying, but the eel analogy is confusing"
> "I'm- I'm saying you care about me in a way people don't tend to care. You like me how I like starfishes" he blushed, it's honestly funny how socially awkward a guy like him can be
> "And do you like me like that?"
> He nodded, without taking his eyes out of the papers he was working on
> And that's how you get a marine biologist boyfriend
Nsfw ahead
CW: oral, handjobs, dirty talk (kinda?), rough sex, cum in reader's body
>Despite the fandom's tendency to put him as a hard daddy dom sex god, I think he was a virgin for a long time
>He was never really interested in other people, he always felt like they cared about him like a social commodity rather than a human being
> People got close to him to say they fucked Jotaro Kujo, whether it was for his looks or reputation
> So when you told him you were ready to take things further, he was nervous
>He wants to be in control, but if you're eager enough, you can make him take a more submissive role
>Isn't really loud, but his panting and heavy breathing is hot enough
>Made the cutest sounds when you gave him a handjob for the first time
>"Wait, that's- ahhh~ ♡"
>Shies away from penetrative sex for quite a while, making you cum with his fingers and tongue is enough for him
>Even without his dick, you do get overstimulated quite a few times in your sessions, the first times it's accidental, and you have to reassure him you like it
>Doesn't always indulge you when you plead for more, thinking he can hurt you and you won't realize being too deep in subspace
>The first time he gets his cock inside you, wants you to be on top of him
> Has a size kink he won't acknowledge
> Grips the bedsheets impossibly tight to stop himself from grabbing your hips and bouncing you on him
> You're so tight around him, and even on top of him, you just look so small:(
> If you do want him to berserk on you, just tell him, and then annoy him while he's working
> Will bend you over his desk and ram into you from behind while groans in your ear
> "Do you really think I can deal with you being a brat? Right now?"
> Cums in your asscheeks, hot and sticky, then he slides off you and leaves you there while he starts running a bath for you
> You can feel the bruises forming on your hips, and your cum from multiple orgasms dripping down your thighs
>But you don't regret a thing
Star Trek: The Next Generation, 110 (Nov. 28, 1987) - “Haven”
Written by: Tracy Torme Directed by: Richard Compton
The Breakdown
In this episode we find out that Deanna Troi is ‘genetically betrothed’ to some dorky space-nerd named Wyatt, as per Betazed tradition (even though Wyatt is human) overseen by her Mom (Lwaxana). Apparently Betazoid marriages also come with the expectation of the wife leaving her career behind, which Deanna doesn’t seem too happy about. To make matters even more awkward, Wyatt is coming to the ship with his family (and Deanna’s mom) to meet Deanna for *checks notes* the very first time? Yep. That’s right, this is the first time they’ve ever even laid eyes on each other. In addition to this awkwardness Lwaxana’s arrival makes matters only worse as she proceeds to ridicule everyone who isn’t a telepath for being so obviously inferior. But she’s definitely not being rude, because this is just *checks notes* how Betazoids are… which I guess makes it not bigoted or xenophobic at all.
While Lwaxana makes every effort to be offend anyone she talks to, we find out that Wyatt is more-than-a-little surprised that Deanna isn’t how he imagined. You see, apparently he’s had a vivid-life-long-dream about some random blonde woman he’s never met (haven’t we all?), and so naturally concluded he was accurately imagining Deanna the whole time. Chalking up his mystery woman to nothing more than a silly fantasy, Wyatt decides to settle for Deanna since she is very pretty, and that has to count for something. Unfortunately, just as the two love birds are warming up to each other, Wyatt’s mystery blonde woman arrives on a refugee ship and immediately recognizes him; as it happens, she’s also had life-long dreams about him, which is a pretty remarkable coincidence!
And the explanation for all this… *checks notes* spontaneous space telepathy. Yep, that’s what we’re going with. According to Lwaxana, apparently we all have some kind of universal telepathy deep down inside of us. At any rate, that’s enough of an explanation for Wyatt, who packs up to follow the hot blon- er- his destiny.
The Verdict
One would think that ‘Haven’ might offer a decent opportunity to flesh our Deanna’s character, but nah. Why do that when there are still male guest stars, and love interests to focus on? I do genuinely try to find the good in these old episodes, but this one is a dud. My biggest points of contention are in the portrayals of Lwaxana (specifically), and the Betazoid’s (generally).
For starters, Lwaxana is exceptionally rude; she’s condescending, hostile, and has no regard for anyone else’s feelings. I don’t care that “She’s telepathic and therefore thinks differently,” she’s completely bigoted towards anyone who isn’t Betazoid, and it’s clearly spiteful. The episode tries to play it off as comic relief, but based on this episode alone Lwaxana exhibits more potential for becoming an arch nemesis than the Ferengi ever will.
Secondly, Betazed may have a unique culture, but perhaps the federation should think twice before inducting other civilizations with such draconian marriage practices into their ranks. It would all be one thing if Deanna was happy with the arrangement, but she clearly doesn't want to get married. So why must she? Why such pressure? Shouldn’t freedom of choice weigh in to all federation cultures, without risking ostracization or criticism? Even Picard is like “hey, this seems kinda questionable. I wonder if this should be allowed” but that’s as far as we’ll explore such topics, because we have a LOVE TRIANGLE to get back to! Yay! (more on that below)
1 star (out of 5)
Additional Observations:
This is Lwaxana’s first appearance. My familiarity with this character is mostly from DS9, where I found her occasionally amusing, if exasperating, so I never quite understood the hate she got from other fans. Now I get it.
Space love triangle: Riker is too busy feeling jealous of Wyatt to consider how this may be affecting the woman he supposedly loves. Deanna even calls him out by stating “YOU’RE the one who wanted to focus on a career,” to which Riker essentially retorts with “Yeah, but this is hard on ME!” Real mature, dude.
This season really has a fixation for alien races that are just hot white people in revealing clothing. Which leads as a nice segway into my next point…
This show is VERY horny, but repressively so. The crew all seem to have a “live and let live” mentality towards others (which is usually good), but are very restrictive and emotionally stunted in their own self-expression.
On the other hand, Lwaxana talks about her naked body and sex life WAY too much. She’s obviously making the crew uncomfortable, and it’s clearly intentional.
Data’s fascination over “petty squabbling” cracks me up though. Solid comedic performance from Brent Spiner.
What are Zaire's and Aries's relashionships like with the other m6? Romantic or otherwise
thank you for the ask, anon!!
okay, im gonna keep this platonic so its not like specifically in one of the m6's routes
Zaire's Relationships
Asra: Out of the three apprentices, i think zaire is the least close with them. I mean they get along just fine, but not as close as the other. Especially after his death, they both were more distant than in his previous life (esp with asra going on trips on his own). Also Zaire is very much aware of Asra's feelings towards him, tho it actually doesnt bother him one bit.
Julian: They get along surprisingly well, even to Zaire's surprise. They're also fuck buddies, so there's that. Zaire keeps him out of trouble, but not too much tho cus Julian's recklessness kinda entertains him.
Nadia: They get along SO well, they have so much mutual respect. They're best friends, i think. And they probably do each other's hair while having extravagant skincare together.
Portia: They also get along well, they both like to exchange recipes. And i wanna talk specifically in Julian's route where Zaire is romancing him. even before getting married, Zaire quickly sees Portia as his little sister. He feels a sense of familiarity when bonding with her, because in his previous life he was a big brother.
Muriel: They get along just alright. Zaire very much understands how much Muriel likes his personal space. Zaire will try to get him into a conversation, if failed he'll leave him be. Muriel doesn't feel uncomfortable with him to say the least, so they can sit in silence in a non awkward way.
Lucio: Nope. Zaire absolutely cannot stand his ass. Lucio is too much for him. Zaire basically doubles down on his coldness when with him. Lucio is kinda a little sad about it because he finds Zaire cool (and hot). So he'll try to charm him up and fails miserably but his attempts kinda amuses Zaire so... Maybe he can tolerate Lucio, just a little. also in this post, i mentioned briefly that they're flings. Zaire honestly thought it was an.. okay night but hes kinda embarrassed about it.
Aries' relationships
Asra: They're best friends! Aries actually learned knitting from them. Though Aries is not too fond of Asra leaving them to go on trips. Aries is actually pretty oblivious to Asra's feelings.
Julian: Aries thinks hes just okay, they think his dramatic antics adorable. For Julian though... he's lowkey scared of them once he seen just how chaotic and uh fucked up they could be under that friendly and approachable face.
Nadia: Aries has a little crush on her (not in a romantic way). They're already not the best with social interaction but when it comes to her, they're flustered a mess. They think she's amazing and pretty, they really want to befriend her. Nadia is actually pretty curious about them and would like to know more. Also they both connect on a cultural level!
Portia: They're friends! They both get into all sorts of trouble and mischief (one gets into more than the other) Also Aries likes to join in on her gardening every once in a while.
Muriel: Muriel doesn't really like them and at first Aries thought that's just how he is (i mean he is kinda like that but yk) so they just keep acting like theyre buddies. But when they see how he is around people he actually likes, they're a little heartbroken and avoid him as much as he could.
Lucio: They are each other's problematic fav. They're best friends. They are each other's enablers. I think their platonic relationship isn't that much different from their romantic relationship. Aries is so easily impressed by his stupid bragging. And they both may or may not have committed arson together.
Any and all you wanna answer from 3, 5, 7, 22, 27, 31, 35, 41, 45?
3. Favorite fantasy sub-genre(s). (high fantasy, urban fantasy, portal fantasy etc.)
I really enjoy fantasy in general so if the story sounds interesting I'll read pretty much anything.
But I guess I have a particular fondness for all sorts of high and epic fantasy. The more detailed the worldbuilding the better.
At the same time I also really like Comic Fantasy (and so Terry Pratchett, in particular his Discworld series).
And Cozy Fantasy when I want something warm and comfy.
I also love fantasy books with dragons, with fae (but particularly the kind where the Fae are very alien and not just humans by a different name with some sparkle on top) and with witches (love me some witches).
5. Favorite science fiction sub-genre(s). (dystopian, superhero, aliens etc.)
I love First Contact books and Space Exploration stories. Just Aliens in general. As well as Sentient Spaceships (thank you Martha Wells and Ann Leckie).
7. What kind of common romance tropes do you enjoy and what kind do you dislike?
I don't really like the kind where the romance takes over the story unless I specifically grabbed a romance book. Which is why I don't enjoy instalove.
Also don't like love triangles. Especially when it's a case of childhood friend (boring) or amoral kinda abusive new guy (irritating and gross).
I do enjoy when there's the inclusion of an awkward grumpy bean too stubborn to admit slowly developing feeelings. Or squabbling reluctant allies where by the beginning they don't like each other and by the end WE know that the non-POV character is a complete goner for the main character, but the main character is completely oblivious.
22. Favorite example of a Chosen One trope in a book.
Katniss Everdeen. Maybe especially because she doesn't technically count and yet she also does.
There was always going to be a rebellion, something was always going to spark it, and there was always going to be someone pushed into the center of it. Once the dominoes fell Katniss was stuck.
27. What was the first book you remember reading as a kid?
Matilda.
31. Do you mostly read through e-reader; reading app on phone; on your laptop; a physical copy; or by audiobook?
Lately I read mostly on my phone. Half through Kindle and half as audiobook on Everand.
35. Least favorite trope in your most favorite book genre.
Idk. I'm really picky about the kind of romances I enjoy, so that at least half the time I pick up a fantasy book I'll probably get irritated by the romantic subplot tropes.
41. When you get ready for a week long trip to somewhere how many books do you download/pack inside the suitcase?
7 days. Where I live and the kind of trips I can afford to take, this probably means 2 days on bus in each direction. 1.5 books for each of those days. Bringing it up to 6 books. But taking into consideration the likelihood of moods and eye-strain I also need some audiobooks?
Answer: 6 books for visual reading + 3 audiobooks. That should give enough of a comfort zone to be sure I won't run out of something to read.
45. What book(s) would you sell your soul to get a TV or movie adaptation of?
The Queen's Thief series by Megan Whalen Turner.
To see Gen and Irene and their messy love story? Eugenides being the best damn thief around and his desperate struggle of NOT wanting to become what he's destined to become. The political strain of Attolia and Eddis and Sounis as they NEED to be able to put their country differences aside to face the encroaching threat of the Mede empire. The interfering gods. The cuteness of Costis and Kamet.
I want to SEE IT ALL SO MUCH.
