Still thinking about jjk 223, so I’m gonna ramble a bit. Another thing I like about Utahime and Gojo’s relationship in canon is their thing about Utahime being ‘weak’. It’s their thing. It was set up in our very first introduction to Utahime in the manga, and we find out that it’s been going on since way back into their past when they were just students. It reminds me of another ship of mine, Karma and Okuda in Assassination Classroom, where in the data book it says that Okuda is the one person that Karma feels zero threats from and as a result he can relax and be comfortable around her.
I like how jjk 223 shows that Gojo in a way relies on Ijichi, someone who doesn’t fight on the frontlines, calling him someone he trusts above all, and Utahime, someone he’s repeatedly teased for being weak. I mean for all that he teases her about her supposed weakness, she never gets down about that, and instead reacts with anger at his disrespect (and I guess that’s another thing that I like about their relationship in that Utahime genuinely seems to see this op greatest sorcerer of all time as just some cheeky brat). Because there’s no doubt that Gojo is lonely as a sole pillar, but ‘weak’ people get to band and work together.
Perhaps treading into headcanon territory, but perhaps because of this supposed weakness, Gojo gets to be comfortable around her. I mean in not so many (and rude) words, he says it himself. There was no doubt in his mind, Utahime could never be the traitor. Because she’s weak (ha). Even if she is weak, she’s not scared of him and will call him out on his bs (unlike say Ijichi whom he can bully around lol). As a fellow teacher, that bond of trust is quite important since they have the same goal in protecting and raising their students.
tldr: I think the people that Gojo considers weak are people he can let his guard down around and it’s wonderful that he gets to rely on and work together with other people now in a way that he might not have allowed himself to before + As much as I enjoy gojohime in fics, I also do appreciate this subtle bond of trust they have in canon.

I''m really curious to see what people who have experienced Penguindrum solely through the recap movies would make of it. Alas, 99% of people who are interested in watching it are people who watched the series first.

A couple of current/recent gaming distractions:
Coral Island - or, what if Stardew had prettier graphics, a more diverse variety of NPCs, a Southern Pacific vibe, and mermaids? Their 1.0 release happened last week, though don't mistake that for a full and unbugged release, it's still updating and working out some kinks. There's still plenty to do that justifies the price and time, though. Highly recommended if you need a cozy farming sim to take up your hours over the next few months. I have dumped 20+ hours into it over the last week, so, you know, there's where I'm at.
Lovebrush Chronicles - a new (to North America/Europe) otome mobile game, which takes place in a multiverse anchored in a modern-day university. This is interesting, I find it hard to describe the storytelling vibe here, though I'm digging it thus far. The plan appears to be to follow the same four (maybe 5-6? it's complicated) male love interests into different alternate universes. The first one is a fairy-tale/fantasy universe on the brink of destruction, and I enjoy the way each LI's story bleeds into the other ones to tell a coherent story about how the frozen apocalypse is averted. I will warn those going more for the otome romance parts that only 3 of the 4 romance storylines in this first bit end happily, which was a bit jarring to me upon reading it - the fourth is narratively satisfying, don't get me wrong, but it's definitely a tragic love story as opposed to the HEA versions the other three got. (There's an eternal/"canon" epilogue where you can pick your favorite suitor, which can give that one a happier ending, but it didn't quite give me what I was looking for overall. YMMV, obviously.) But the worldbuilding is very intriguing, and the writing is excellent, so I'm happy to keep going with it. I just know for future reference that they're not always going to provide a romance HEA for every route. It's scratching the right itch for me in many ways right now, anyway. The LIs are very trope-tastic, you've met them before in pretty much any other otome game you've played, but they're well done here and worth investing your time in.
Am I avoiding work today? Maybe. It's the quiet of pre-holiday around here.

So do you want to know the scenario i most imagine Silasdroid happening? Obviously it would need to be a continuity blend including tfp and tfe
GHOST finds MECH, who's been an organization of their own staying off the radar. Silas meets Agent Croft, there's a deal to be had, and GHOST sends a scientist they think would work well with MECH: Dr. Meridian. After all, both seem to share an uncanny interest in Cybertronian biology (and, if things go south, GHOST can kill two birds with one stone and deny involvement)
Though, there are snags. Mandroid wishes to eradicate the Cybertronians, while Silas wishes to make more for his own usage. Which, hey the fact that the ones Silas wants to make aren't sentient and GHOST's mind control technology theoretically would control them, i can see them making some agreements. Plus, well... MECH gains access to more Cybertronian specimens, with no fuss of capturing them themselves and no questions asked.

Exploring again and fun new thing I’ve discovered: Roxy Raceway has two connections to Rockstar Row. One through the rehearsal room and one through some weird back tunnel thing that’s still under construction.

You know, it's kinda funny how much of high fantasy centers around kings and nobility and courtly intrigue considering that the archetypal high fantasy, Lord of the Rings, had the rather explicit moral of "saving the world is up to this backwater hick and his gardener because no politician, least of all inherited nobility, would have the ability to see past their own ambition and throw away a weapon". Oh sure, Aragorn is a great king and all, but there's a reason he's over there running a distraction ring while the hobbits do the real work. Sauron loses because he gets distracted by kings and armies and great battles (i.e. typical high fantasy stuff) letting Frodo and Sam sneak through his back door and blow it all to hell.
Just saying, maybe old Jirt knew what he was saying when he said that the small folk doing their best and holding to each other was more powerful than a dozen alliances and superweapons and we should respect him for it.
