anywho i'm 50+* hours into Veilguard now and this game fucking rocks. i think the first 5-10 hours are honestly the weakest, if you can roll with it and TRUST, you are in for a real good time. take your time, explore everything, enjoy!

*my hour counts are prob higher than average people b/c DAO trained me to do every single thing before moving to the next thing and i've been like that since. also the game is so fun and i like running around with companions killing shit and listening to them banter then going home and finding them bantering with each other. RINSE REPEAT. it's also so hard to stop, like i am so engaged in this story and these characters. it's honestly hitting the sweet spot between da2 and dai for me- big enough to feel like a whole world, but small enough to stay really invested in all the characters and environs (it's cozy). i had to make myself stop last night, every companion questline is so interesting, i'm going to have to replay a few times. oh also this is my (first) rook:

Ilari de Riva (they/them), they're an antivan crow rogue. They used to be more of a sharpshooter but are going a little blind in one eye due to an eye injury with shattered glass, so mostly do up close and personal melee now and just aoe archery that doesn't require precision aiming (also i like the aesthetics of having one eye have shattered stars in it, sometimes im a dramatic bitch it can't be helped XD)

ilari is from the italian form of "hilarius" which comes from the latin hilaris (greek hilaros) meaning cheerful (i just dropped the a/o that it normally has since those have gendered implications and I didn't want them). Playing them as generally optimistic and happy in their skin these days , so wanted the name to fit that. they're locked into romance with lucanis (short king! i love him so much T.T ) and bffs with pretty much everyone (but esp davrin, asaan, bellara and emmrich). loves cats and griffons esp

Au where Damian comes to Gotham with the goal of infiltrating and eventually overthrowing Batman instead of inheriting the mantle. Not much changes from canon except for the fact that he views everything that batman owns as his. That's his future cave and his future batmobile. This also includes his robins. After all everyone knows Batman wouldn't really be Batman without them.

Cue a very bewildered Tim being lectured on his eating habits by a righteous Damian who won't let one of his people take shortcuts with their health.

Just noticed something I thought was very interesting:

Victim depicts the Cursor as being giant in comparison to himself

When in reality this just wasn't true.

Victim's fear and trauma has caused him to re-imagine the Cursor into a much bigger monster than it ever was, something huge and horrible and capable of crushing him like a bug. A scale and strength fitting of how terrifying Victim considers it to be.

As opposed to the little thing barely bigger than his own head.

Except, those drawings look a little familiar...

This is literally Victim's worst nightmares made real.

Something tells me things aren't going to go very well, if the Cursor does end up being summoned into Rocket Corp...

I think that Shadow gets some days where his uh trauma practically becomes overwhelming and he becomes clingy, making sure that the people he loves are real and they’re safe :)

I also have the kids call Sonic Dad and Shadow Papa to be able to differentiate the two easier XD
