again like my previous post, the character progression in medalist is incredibly swift, but also somehow naturally paced and well deserved. albeit the chapters are super long, but only a few chapters ago miketa was bragging to inori about how she's a rebel who doesn't need adults to become a top athlete.

i think it's also an interesting narrative about kids who don't exactly fit in, but in the opposite way of the usual kind of kids who are quiet and shy - about kids who act out, and are aggressive and competitive but can't control their behaviour. and it's even more tragic when they're aware of their actions but still struggle to stop and to ask for help, to only wish to be like the other kids. these kinds of kids also feel alone much in the same way. points to tsurumaikada for really understanding how children work and weaving such insightful narratives into their characters.

Hmm, my fav character from House of the Dragon. I find all the characters so incredibly complex and layered that I actually love them all so much. I think my all-time favourite is definitely Rhaenyra. She is just so fascinating and she's been through so much and I just adore her with all my heart. Like I'm aware she's not perfect and that she does questionable things in both the books and show but I just love her so much lol. I support women's rights, but most of all I support women's wrongs, and Imma support ALL that woman's wrongs 🤭🤭

I also find Alicent so fascinating. Young show Alicent is so young and she goes through so so much and my heart aches for her, and even though I don't love all the choices adult Alicent makes, I can't hate her either because she is just a product of her environment and an accumulation of her tragic experiences. It makes sense for her to be the way she is and honestly, I can understand her resentment for Rhaenyra. I mean if I went through what she did, and then I see someone I grew up with get to do whatever she wants without consequences while I have to put up with my shitty 100+ yr old rotting husband while she has like 2 of the hottest dudes in the kingdom, I'd be pretty jealous and resentful too. So yea I just find her so fascinating and I love doing like character analyses on her.

Honourable mentions go to Harwin, we love a king who supports his princess without wanting anything for it. The parallels he draws with Ser Criston Cole (I rlly hate him lol) are so immaculate. Crispy Cole has a huge hissy fit when Rhaenyra doesn't drop the crown and goes to sell oranges with him or something, while Harwin is perfectly content being her side piece. But like on a serious note, his love for Rhaenyra is enough for him and he doesn't need to be formally acknowledged as his boys' father or Rhaenyra's baby daddy. He is just content with the little pieces of her that he gets to have and I think its so tragically beautiful. Also Daemon, my fav war criminal 🫶 I know he's done atrocious things, and he will continue to do so and I will not defend him saying that he didn't do anything wrong lol. I just vibe with him cuz he's incredibly loyal to his family and we love a family man devoted to his wife (I pretend the choking scene did not happen, I'm delulu like that 🤡). Also love Rhaenyra's kiddos. They're so wholesome and sweet. Sweet sweet Luke and responsible Jace. I have so much to say about them oh gosh I've rambled here enough, you asked me my fav character and I went on like 3 different tangents on all my fav characters. But yea, every single one of these characters have such a special place in my heart, i love them all for various reasons, tea black and green both (I fkn hate Otto and Crisoy Cole tho).

Also omg parents, I want Daemon and Rhaenyra tooo for sure. First of all so I can have Jace, Luke, and Joffrey as my brothers cuz that would be soo nice but also can you imagine having Daemon targaryen as your fkn dad. Gosh the power you would hold. I wanna be Daemon and Rhaenyra's babygirl 😭😭 And that entire family unit is so cool, all their kids/half-kids/step-kids are so cool and it would be amazing to be part of that family. Also i think they're a relatively happy family (until the war lol). Like I def wouldn't wanna be Alicent+Viserys's kid lol. Not because I have anything against them (I have issues with Vizzy T but thats a matter for another time), but they're just so dysfunctional lol. That's mommy issues + daddy issues + all sorts of issues waiting to happen lmfao.

Do not be sorry about being mean, honey - especially because it’s as you say. E does the bare minimum but still him being a hero and coming to that destroyed house, to those ruins of family is apparently good enough to excuse the abuse going on in the household. It’s seriously tragic that people justify the abuse, neglected and alienation of the Todoroki and E’s detachment from his own family, by saying that he still came home at the end of the day. Like alright, he is the number one because he is a good hero, and he is a good man because he goes home after his job.

Man from Reno • short opinion on a masterpiece

This movie is amazing. It is by far one of the best movie experiences i've made in the last few years. So here is my short opinion on a masterpiece more people should watch.

Aki (Ayako Fujitani) is one of Japans biggest authors, but the success didnt made her happy. She is plagued by a secret only a few selected people knew and a tragic loss that lies on her shoulders.

On a trip to San Francisco, she'd meet Akira (Kazuki Kitamura), a young man who seems very interested in her. They both shared some intimate moments together. Everything seemed perfect: He was handsome, he didnt care about her career. He seemed to just see her for herself. So she tried to look forward, leave everything behind and shared the bed with him, trying to open up for something new.

On the next day he suddenly disappeared. The only clue he left was his suitcase. Meanwhile a Sheriff found an abandoned car in the middle of the night. On the way to the Station he hit a man with his own car. The stranger survived and ran away. But he was hurt, injured like he was almost beaten to death.~

The scenery and locations chosen for the movie are incredible gorgeous: bookstores, cafés, urban jettys, old buildings in warm browns and cold blues work perfect. The hotel reminds me on Londons architecture. Everything looks beautiful. Nothing is out of place. All this and the OST build a perfect dark academia atmosphere. I could watch that movie just for this a million times.

The pacing of the movie is addicting and the storytelling has a great pull the watcher cant resist. The Cast is amazing as well. Ayako, Kazuki and Pepe are great from start to end. Theres not one bad scene in the whole movie. i love how Kazuki uses his smile as a weapon. People just cant resist that that. Its cheating. Ayako is so smart as Aki and Pepe is the super loveable Policefather.

I really love this. This movie is like a painting. Everything works. The story stays exciting until the end. The production is outstanding.

Go fkn watch that movie. You wont regret it

Impromptu Ramblings about the NEO:TWEWY Demo

In case y'all weren't aware, I've been a pretty big fan of TWEWY for a couple years now, and with the sequel coming out next month, the excitement I feel for this game is greater than ever :) I played the Demo for the first time yesterday, and following a couple views of some livestreams of others playing it, I felt like sharing my (very ramble-y) thoughts prior to the release of the full game. This post WILL contain spoilers for both TWEWY and NEO:TWEWY, so if you want to avoid those from now on, please block the tags: #twewy spoilers, #ntwewy spoilers, #neo twewy spoilers, #ntwewy, and #neo twewy ^_^ Oh, and if you wanna keep up with any other posts I make about my experience with this game, please refer to the tag "kat plays neo twewy" :)

-First things first: I have not watched the Final Trailer and I don't plan on doing so to avoid spoilers, especially after the pre-release era of KH3 where a lot of the later trailers spoiled a lot of the endgame content. That being said, I've seen some minor screenshots from the final trailer including what many believe to be characters from the original TWEWY, namely Shiki and Joshua. That is all I know about the Final Trailer and I would very much like to remain as blind as possible going into NEO :)

-The very first cutscene was quite ominous in the sense that this game is likely going to be about "changing fate" (a recently common theme in Squeenix games, which I do appreciate), perhaps leading off from the end of A New Day in the OG and trying to stop an Inversion of Shibuya. Also worth noting that A New Day had similar aspects in which the main character experienced "future visions" of tragic events, although in A New Day these events were not able to be changed, while in NEO it seems like one of the main "powers" our protagonist has is specifically to rewrite these events and avoid a "bad ending." Very interesting indeed!

-I really like the revamped comic book style dialogue scenes, it's much more fluid and modern, which is an excellent direction for the series to take!

-I would love to have an actual PokemonGO knockoff of Final Fantasy creatures, please Squeenix that would be incredibleeeeee

-Also the LINE stickers??? Are so cute???

-I would just like to point out that Fret is an absolute treasure throughout this entire demo, he's hilarious and I will protect him with my life

-UHHHH don't like that Fret picked up some Reaper Pins just out of nowhere.....or the fact that they're apparently popular all over Shibuya.............did y'all not learn anything from the OG game or what lmao

-Okay so when I first got the "curry or ramen" scene and heard NPCs talking about the new curry place replacing the old ramen place I became IMMENSELY distressed that Ramen Don was totally cut from the game because....well, Ramen Don is a King okay?? But I'm glad to learn that no, he didn't fall off the face of the earth, he's still in business and he's the one opening the curry restaurant lolol. PHEW, crisis averted!

-.....I don't like the sudden appearance of a Wall Reaper and being able to read NPC thoughts. Wtf happened when they left the ramen place??? Are they playing the Game alive somehow?

-Okay so I have my own theories about this "Swallow" character and what they're up to but considering this is only the Demo and I still Have No Idea What's Happening, I'm just gonna say that I think Swallow intentionally led Rindo and Fret to the Crossing so they could join the Game. I mean, add in the fact that Swallow still communicates with Rindo during the Game and you've got yourself a suspicious character right there lol

-"Hey they're shooting off fireworks!" Fret honey that's not fireworks oof (see also: "*laughs* I'm in danger")

-WOOOOOO way to traumatize Rindo right off the bat like that LMAOO

-The visuals for the intro are VERY GOOD, the song is pretty decent until it gets all "screamo" (which I absolutely cannot stand sorry lol)

-Shoka is every Customer Service employee ever and I respect that

-Susukichi went from being "meh" to "WOW THIS GUY IS FUN" in the span of 10 seconds and I also respect that (he is also built like an Absolute Unit which is hilarious)

-The Wall Reapers (and just Reapers in general) seem.....way nicer and more helpful this time around?? Like in the OG the Wall Reapers were SO RUDE gfhjgjdfkhn and yeah I'm sure we'll get some like that but the juxtaposition of the first Wall Reaper in the OG compared to the first one in NEO is insane.

-The puzzles are quite a bit more entertaining this time around even if it's generally the same "fetch quest" formula lol

-"Rindo's Group" way to go Fret HFKJDGHSDFKJ mans really left the default name in there lmao

-OKAYOKAYOKAY so to those who aren't aware I am a MASSIVE SIMP for Sho Minamimoto, he's my absolute favorite and I think about him daily. HIS INTRODUCTION IS. INCREDIBLE. I LOVE IT SM.

-GOD hearing him actually SPEAK FULL SENTENCES is just SO SURREAL I love this sm

-Also the remix of his theme???? NEO TRANSFORMATION????? IT'S SO GOOD????????? It's like gone from a Boss Theme to a more triumphant sounding theme and I am HERE for it (every version of Transformation is just INCREDIBLE and getting a new one is even better)

-I Love Him, Your Honor

-Also idk how exactly but it's kinda weird seeing Sho in the OG vs NEO, cuz while he's mostly the same Insane Math-Obsessed Catboy, he's.....calmed down quite a bit?? Like OG made a whole point of how poorly he cooperates with others (not to mention just being completely unhinged and trying to kill everyone), whereas here in NEO he's......actually kinda working with others??? HELLO???? Sir what happened to you and Neku during those 3 years I would love to know all about it

-I guarantee you Sho is still probably scheming shite and will likely pull some total insane BS later down the road, and I am very much looking forward to that. Also, is he looking for a certain Pin or something??? Cuz he keeps talking about different Pins and even mentions "this is just another Psych Pin" like he's actively looking for a Pin to do something with. Maybe it also has to do with the "latent powers of Players" thing he mentioned as well??? What is this dude UP TO oml (also is he in contact with Neku at all?? they're both technically fugitives at this point right?? WHAT HAPPENED AFTER A NEW DAY I AM BEGGING YOU)

-I seems like Sho ALSO has an idea of what's going on in this specific game (even if he won't admit it straightforward). Per his quote "The game's 142,857. Factor it out," he's essentially saying, "This game is a neverending cyle, figure out how to get out of it" (or at least that's what I got from his "cyclic number" nonsense lolol)

-I do like how Sho mostly stays out of sight until he's needed for a battle or assisting with a mission, that's kind of on par with his whole "uncooperative" quirk from the OG, plus he might literally have to stay out of sight of other Reapers and Players considering he's likely breaking the rules of the Game (not surprising considering him and Neku broke practically every rule in the book during OG)

-The nicknames for Sho- I can't- They're so FUNNYYYY GFHJSDFKJ

-He goes from being called "Pi-Face" and "Tabooty" in OG to "Mr. Minami" and "M-Teezy" in NEO LMAOO

Good morning! Whats your favorite show/movie? Who are your favorite characters? Why do you like them so much? Also!! Did you have a good sleep?

Okay so I was a film major for a while, and I have opinions. 

Penny Dreadful 

I love this show. Like, so much. I adore it. I can not get enough of that show. Just all of the imagery, and the fantastic writing and acting. The episode intro alone is one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen. Eva Green is a goddess and I love everything she’s been in. The take on classic horror stories is So Good, and it actually became the inspiration for my Gay Frankenstein story! (Started as a stitch AU, and then went completely OC after I had Ideas) but the show itself is so intimate? I think it’s largely that the period they’re in, everything was so repressed and restricted. So when the characters break out of those moments, it’s more meaningful. And the love-hate relationship between Ms. Ives and Malcolm in season one? Exquisite.  I could literally write essay’s about this show, but I’ll restrain myself and just say: it’s the best ensemble show I’ve ever seen. The characters come together, but they also each have their own distinct lives that sometimes intersect, but in s2 especially, are quite separate. They are constant with one another like ensemble shows usually portray. Also gothic horror and romance? My absolute favorite. 

Anything by Guillermo del Toro

This man Owns My Entire Soul. I’m not even joking, everything he writes and directs is perfection. Crimson Peak is probably my favorite (I have a stitch AU for this too ;) ) because again, Gothic horror and romance. I’m a slut for that shit. Also Tom Hiddleston and Jessica Chastain? Delightful casting. I think it’s obvious by now that I love tragic relationships, so their dynamic is *chef’s kiss* amazing. they’re so damaged. And this quote right here is one of the BEST things I’ve ever read: 

“But the horror... The horror was for love. The things we do for love like this are ugly, mad, full of sweat and regret. This love burns you and maims you and twists you inside out. It is a monstrous love and it makes monsters of us all.”

Engrave that on my headstone, please?? I’ve got a sort-of Dorian Gray AU (it’s delightful) that’s basically built on this entire premise. Mitch makes the mistake of falling in love with Stiles, and does many terrible things because of it. Mostly to himself, at least. 

I think my love of Crimson Peak is very closely tied with The Shape of Water. another beautiful movie, I could wax poetic about this forever. it was beautifully written, and such an artistic movie. I love the way it was filmed, and the set design, and all of the subtle imagery. Such as Elisa’s apartment being cast in cooler tones, it always felt very damp and had evidence of water damage, compared to Giles’, a mirror image of her own, in more warm tones. This is another one I could (and have) write essays about. There is so much packed into this movie, from the themes on toxic masculinity and entitlement, to the conversation on queerness and race and disability, and how all the various relationships are portrayed. Like. there is so much to pick apart in this movie. 

Aside from that, ofc Hell Boy deserves an honorable mention because i grew up on those movies. I’m pretty sure the Golden Army especially is responsible for who I am today, given all the lore on the fae in that universe. Wow, that explains so much about me... Also one of my first WoW characters was an elf named Nuala xD I still have her, too, and it’s been like 12 years lol

Near-Future Sci-Fi

Sci-fi is one of my favorite genres, I am a huge nerd for theoretical and astrophysics. But my favorite kind of sci-fi is the stuff that still takes place on Earth, rather than epic battles in space. Ex Machina and Annihilation are at the top of that list. Alex Garland is another writer/director that I love. He has the same kind of approach as del Toro, where he puts a lot of fine details into his work. And I love that it’s very cerebral; there are so many layers to Ex Machina. My English 101 prof actually refused to analyze it in class when I suggested it to him, because he didn’t think my class could. Basically handle? Dissecting that movie? Because a lot of it comes across as very surface level, but in some cases when you look deeper, it’s actually suggesting the opposite of what you might think at first glance. (And he was right, my fellow students were awful. I miss that class though, it was one of my favorites T_T Mr. Ryder was an awesome dude and super chill.) 

Morgan is another good example. As you can see, I fucking love androids lol. Which brings me to another of my all time favorite movies: Cloud Atlas. I could literally watch this movie endlessly, I love it so much. The acting, the writing, the filming, all of it is top notch. And one thing they did in the movie that didn’t come across in the book, was reusing the same actors through the different eras in the book. That was just so neat, because it really encapsulates how connected these souls are, as we follow the threads of their story throughout time. If you haven’t seen the movie, I can’t recommend it enough.  

Another one I always think of alongside Cloud Atlas, even though they aren’t related at all, is Predestination. It’s a great movie that explores the idea of fate and free will in a really clever way, utilizes time travel in a very organized way that I think was neat (think Umbrella Academy. They even use briefcases! As you can see, I love sci-fi bureaucracy, it’s fun. In fact The Bureau is another movie I enjoyed) and the main character is actually, explicitly trans, which was cool. You basically get to see the entire story of their life, and I don’t want to spoil anything, but it’s just. So good. Mindfuckery galore. 

Shoot, and I almost forgot! Arrival! That is one of the best movies, and another one I could watch nonstop. It focuses on mathematics and linguistics and I swear to god, I almost altered my entire college course because of this movie. Amy Addams is brilliant, Jeremy Renner is so soft and nerdy, and again, it has an amazing take on time travel. I am very particular about how time is handled in Sci-fi, and this portrayal was one of my favorite. (Most of my physics studies have been dedicated to the theory of time, so like. Strong Opinions.) 

Fantasy

Stardust! It wasn’t until Good Omens can out that I realized Neil Gaiman is responsible for most of the stories I loved as a kid lol, and I had no idea he wrote stardust! But that is such a beautiful movie (I have a Stardust AU lol) and it’s definitely one of my comfort movies. Captain Shakespeare is one of the best characters ever, bless Robert de Niro. I would die for him. Fun fact, i had no idea Ipswitch was a real place until like. 2019. I 100% thought it was made up for the movie 😂

Alongside Stardust, I’ve always loved The Golden Compass. It’s fantasy, but also with that old-timey steampunk science feel, which is so fun and surprisingly difficult to find! 

Mortal Engines also has the same kind of feel, and it was such an epic movie in every sense of the word. I’m a little sad that after all the work that went into it, it didn’t get a dedicated following or fan base, because I feel there’s so much potential in it. But at the same time, fandom tends to gather around media that has plenty of flaws for us to repair with gold, and there wasn’t much room for that in Mortal Engines. 

I’m going to put Jupiter Ascending here even though it technically fits with the sci-fi, because that section is long as fuck and also this movie has such a fantastic feel. Mila Kunis? beautiful. The CGI? beautiful. Eddy Redmayne? One of the best villain portrayals i’ve ever seen. The whole oedipal vibe he had was immaculate, as was their portrayal of reincarnation, and just. The world building. GOD. I get so weak for through world building. Also the fkn intergalactic bureaucracy when they’re basically at the space DMV? One of my all time favorite scenes in movie history. 

Horror

I have very little room in my life for horror. As I said, I have strong movie opinions, especially when it comes to horror movies. I don’t like how most of them rely on cheap jump scares and overused gore and gratuitous rape scenes, instead of, y'know, actual good writing. 

Which is EXACTLY why I adore It: Chapter 1 & 2. It has none of those things, but still manages to be so terrifying. They are my favorite horror movies, and I’m saying this as someone who has genuine childhood trauma bc of the novel. Like. I couldn’t shower/take baths alone until I was almost 10 T_T When I was 6-7 and saw kids play by storm drains, I would run over screaming about how Pennywise was going to get them. Like, I had issues man. I was terrified to see the first one, and wouldn’t go until I could go with my best friend after she had already seen it, so she could warn me when something scary was about to happen 😂

And, one of my favorite aspects of the movie, and the thing that gave me Mad Respect for Any Muschietti? The way he filmed Bev and her father. They have a character who is literally being molested, but they never once have to show it. And yet their interactions are still so viscerally upsetting to watch. Sexploitation puts me off of most horror, and the fact that Muschietti doesn’t use it here, even when it would be actually somewhat justified? *chef’s kiss*. I love him. 

I love horror as a concept, I’m just really picky about it because I expect the writing to be good. I don’t like short cuts. But in a lot of cases, even if I don’t enjoy the movie itself, I love to watch analysis videos on youtube! I love to see the philosophy and symbolism in different horror movies, even if i don’t like to watch the movies themselves. It’s a fun hobby.

Coraline and most other stop motion animation. I’ve always had a soft spot in my heart for that. 

Literally anything associated with Tim Burton. Fun fact, when I was 12 and in middle school, I planned to decorate my future house inspired by tim burton. Like, i had Plans. 

Most adaptations of Alice in Wonderland!

So! this got long as fuck! But you said you like that kind of thing lol 😂 I had kinda Eh sleep since I was up so late lmao, and I kept waking up (as usual, rip). And I’m so mad I go up for nothing! The dude I was supposed to show my listing to never showed, and is refusing to answer my calls >_> It’s been 2 hours now, and I still haven’t heard from him. But whatever, I already have a full price cash offer on the house so who cares. And that means I can play WoW all day, now!

I kinda like a funny twist to Caleb escaping the realm with the others and walking out into the distance. A week later he comes back like "there are metal carriages and mobile rectangle phones and no one will barter for a horse, tell me how this world works and then I'll leave forever again, for real this time." And he means that, he does, but until he figures out how the internet works, he occasionally pops back into their lives to ask how modern stuff works, cowboy needs help setting up the VR

This is actually very much in line with the good potential end to one of the fics I’ve written a little of. I don’t wanna say too much in case I end up writing it for real, but if I expanded it to a full-form fic, it has one of two endings, one tragic but satisfying, one more comedic and happy, and I’m not sure which I’d do, but the comedic/happy ending ends in a Walmart with a everyone vs everyone fight with Dolly Parton’s 9 to 5 playing on the loudspeakers, and the survivors scrambling to kill every killer inside before they can escape and go back to serial killing. Near the start of that fight, Dwight gets a rifle and is like, “Wait, wait--okay, before we do this: If any of you are willing to lay down your weapons and just surrender, we don’t have to kill you. You could walk away.”

And fkn like, Ghostface raises his hand.

Dwight’s like, “Yeah, uh. I wasn’t talking to the serial killers. This statement was more directed at like, the Legion members and the cowboy. You’re definitely getting killed.”

Which is about I think when Jake rams into the man with a melee weapon while screaming in rage.

Haha, I think Caleb’s amount of interaction with the survivors post an escape would vary greatly depending on the amount of interaction and how negative or positive it was in-realm, but I could certainly see him helping vs the Entity if it was a choice, because god knows he doesn’t like that nasty thing at all, and I would be unsurprised if they were inclined to just look the other way and let him slip off into oblivion after. Poor man with all the modern tech, though. Lol--in the “Caleb kind of adopts Rin” concept, he’d be much closer with them probably, or at least on better terms. But also, solo-Caleb trying to make sense of the world just watching a queue of like, 5000 youtube videos over the most basic of topics back to back like O_O is giving me life. Lord. 

Could also easily see Meg taking enough pity to at least explain to him how to use youtube to do that, so she’s just on her phone like, “Sorry guys pause the movie for one sec I gotta answer this text.”

Dwight, looking around and seeing all her friends already in the room. “From who?”

“Caleb.” *Meg furiously typing “No, hit the button that says “SAVE”? It’s right under the video in the right corner-”*

Outer Banks - review

first of all, don’t get ya panties in a twist. no, i don’t think outer banks is a shitty show. at least not at first sight.

so first let’s begin with the vibes, more formally known as the setting. I think the setting is what makes this show so successful. it definitely passed vibe check. the ocean, the hot and sticky air, with just a light breeze and the freedom the main characters have, remind us all of that one summer, we’d give everything to relive. It was that feeling of complete freedom and it felt like what being a teenager should feel like. So just the world these characters live in captures our attention. 

now, is the show realistic? No. But that’s not why we watch shows either. we watch shows to escape our trivial every-day-lives. The producers/writers clearly tried to make it at least a lil realistic. Like the fact that Kies parents at least try to keep her safe and do ground her sometimes. But other than that they could try to make it at least a bit more realistic. Liiiiike the scene where John D chases a fkn plane that is building up speed to take off, with is goddamn van, that would probably break down if it took a turn that was a lil too sharp. They were acting like john d was Jason Bourne or some shit. There were some scenes that were a lil too mission impossible (that is MY OPINION, blink).

Okay now to the characters. Let’s be real we’ve seen about a thousand variations of each of these characters. John B is Percy Jackson, Harry Potter and every other main character with a stick up his ass and a hero-complex. Maybe with a hint of humor. I said HINT. So verdict: BORING.

But no one watches shows for the main characters. Side characters carry always carry the show. So here comes Kiara. I can’t lie she isn’t the most interesting character either. She is the Hermione, smart, reliable, responsible, confident but still adventurous along with a strong sense of justice. Plus most likely lesbian, which could be a really interesting story line. If the writers would have put more effort into her character she could have been really interesting. She is still a very likable and adorable character. Verdict: Victim of poor writing.

Now on to the one everyone has been waiting for. JJ. originally JJ is introduced to us as comic relief. The Ron of the group, but farther on we get to know him better, which makes him the best character of the show. The writers finally decided to give a someone some fkn depth. His of course tragic past and constant struggle make us feel for him. The way he acts around his friends makes perfect sense. I think we can all relate to being the funny friend around our friends to make sure no one notices how we really feel. Also his character motivation makes sense. He doesn’t have any family or anything to loose so he doesn’t have a sense of caution and he will do everything and anything for his friends because they are his whole world and he wants to be something to someone. By the way this man is definitely gay no fkn question about it and has a FAT crush on Pope. The love, care, dedication, affection he shows for that man is ridiculous. ( for all the jiara shippers y’all have absolutely no foot to stand all y’all just think they would look cute together, cus y’all are straight, blind and are not used to reading into gay subtext.) Verdict: gay and well written for a teen show.

And lastly on to my favorite character with absolutely no competition. The one and only Pope. Pope is easily the most realistic character and least overused character-stencil. He has ambitions as well as a strong feeling to be loyal to his friends. he is constantly torn between doing what’s right for him or being true to his roots. Pope is the most likable character, smart, loyal, caring, respectful, dad of the group and absolutely adorable with his passions and interests. his innocent crush on Kiara shows who he really is. Pope is one character I was really rooting for throughout the whole show. I just really wanted him to do well in that fkn interview and not get arrested. I could see him in the future noticing that he may be bi lol. anyway verdict: a solid character, likable and deserves more screen time next season.

overall their friendship works really well together. They all have great chemistry as actors i think. the relations between the characters make sense. their friendship is adorable and made me smile throughout the whole season. one thing I would like to point out is that, the humor fits very well to the group, the jokes aren’t visible planned or too thought out. the jokes seem very natural and are delivered well as well. Which makes everything more believable. even just some tiny exchanges or interactions show the lovely friendship so well and makes everyone wish they were part of the friendship

storyline:

did it make sense? more or less tbh. I mean for a lost treasure they did alright. there were some plotholes. like the fact that sarah would rather die that live without a person she met 2 days ago. they could of built up rafe as a threat throughout the whole season, he was introduced kinda late. the whole police search thing was maddddd unrealistic.

What should happen next season:

jj should notice, that he has a fat fucking crush on Pope and question his sexuality.

kiara should tell pope that she doesn’t like him like that and that she only kissed him cause she was so lost and needed some kind of stability.

Sarah should start to push John B away, because of her commitment issues, while they are in the Bahamas. That would be an interesting story line to see haw they deal with that.

rafe and berry should date looool, no or maybe. idk the should focus more on rafe, because he has a really interesting motivation and character.

and thats that, final score 7/10
