I was hoping GH only asked out HE like that to maybe take attention off of the whole reveal she did on the livestream. Like teenagers love to gossip, so give them something else to gossip about
Actually you might not be very far off. It certainly did the trick, but what bothers me the most is how GH seemed serious about it (which, yay and also yay for college), and the way they made it seem as if he was trying to also get SJ to move and confess his feelings (DJ as well). So maybe GH just took the ball in his court and saw the chance of getting some pressure of the livestream of HE’s shoulders, which certainly was great - but I also wonder whether it might be to show something else? Fingers crossed and awaiting for tomorrow’s episode it is!

Wip Weenis Day. ignore how many i’ve missed im on quentin beck and dr strange brainrot
-
When he woke up, he was alone.
He’s not positive how, on either account; after all the failure, screaming 16 year olds, ricocheting gunshots and mild to moderate bleeding, he made his last hoorah- framing Spider-Man, revealing his deepest darkest secret and painting himself as the hero. All the things he was best at, really, and if we was going to die in a municipal buildings bridge in a heap of his own broken drones and ambitions, it would be doing what he did best.
And yet, he was not dead.
Quentin recalls throwing up that final illusion, before those lovely, priceless glasses were stolen from him (after the kid willingly gave them to him, too!) and laying face down in his own misery, and ‘died’ right before the kid. EDITH had helpfully reported Quentin was ‘deceased’, Parker almost crying over his ‘corpse’, and it was all very sweet, Quentin was touched. Despite his attempts to kill the kid, he was fond of him. Under different circumstances, they could’ve even worked together. He was smart.
Not smart enough to realize Mysterio would’ve had contingencies to fake his own damn death, of course.
It was, to be fair, a lucky thing those functions even still worked- Parker busted his helmet up pretty well. Along with literally everything else and all his plans, but oh well, he’s recovered from worse!
He’s made his bed, nice and tucked with a mint on top. He’s made the worlds most recognizable superhero (second only to Ironman) number one public enemy, murderer of the beloved, brand new up and comer, Mysterio.
What a tragedy.
Back to his current circumstance, he’s currently laid out on the floor of some empty room. Linoleum floors, concrete walls and popcorn ceiling, now with a hole in it- that might’ve been him. Tables stood in threes with chairs tucked in, ready for a conference or secret meeting. Quentin, currently, was laid out in the center of one such table. Wooden, else it would have broken under the weight of one whole jackass.
Which is what he was.
He had made some missteps on his path to greatness- he sees them in broad colors, now, no projections needed. He groans, partially from complete frustration and mostly from his probable broken bones and definite gunshot wounds. They all felt fairly superficial, which was one bonus on this safari shit pile of a day, otherwise he’d have likely been dead before he woke up. Lucky him.
Quentin moans, again, as he rolls over, debris of ceiling, walls, glass and dust poof off of him in a cloud of asthma mixture, which he’d left behind in his youth, thankfully. His suit was fairly trashed, which, ok, it obviously needed some god damn improvements anyway.
He can’t even breathe for a minute, the pain flares up with such vengeance- almost as revenge for his somewhat peaceful time unconscious.
Quentin could very well black out again- who's to say, really, but what finally brings him squarely to consciousness is this- sizzling, vaporous sound, something like the faintest smell of heat and ozone. He leans up the most his battered body will allow him at that moment, the most resigned part of himself wondering if someone the building caught fire and was about to rain rubble and peril yet again upon him, but instead sees a sparking, mind bending portal open out of thin air, a doorway carved into reality. If Quentin hadn’t spent so much time with illusions, he might have thought he was hallucinating- although, they aren’t such terribly different things.
And then someone steps through.
From Quentin’s perspective, he’s out of sight- this portal opened in the hallway into another wide room, giving him only half the picture, but the man who steps through is mumbling something inaudible, a great, red cape fluttering behind him. He can see black hair, streaked with white at the temples, and hands that gesture strangely, before they still and the portal fizzles out of existence.
The man seems to notice the general hostility of the air quality, and starts coughing, and trekking through the rubble, down the hall and past Quentin’s eyesight.
Quentin collapses quietly back onto the table, and asks himself some questions.

my stranger
hangs where the plaster cracked and the ribs of the house show. He’s the only stranger I can afford, a middle-aged man in a plaid shirt smiling for an artist. Nothing to me, but still I hang him in the hallway and call him Dad. Of course, visitors have doubts. I know they know his hair’s too light, the eyes too blue. I win them over by recalling our fishing holidays, how dad slit the belly of a rainbow trout, and out slipped a diamond ring for me. A perfect fit. Dad was handy. He met my mother when she broke down outside the Camden Palace, and changed her tyre without a jack. He made us a sherbet playhouse, we licked its walls to nothingness. He taught my brother harpsichord. Now he’s international. You may have heard him on the radio. That’s a self-portrait. He never lived to paint us all. ‘What a terrible loss,’ visitors sigh. I lead them into a living room, and whisper, ‘Yes.’

i’d think it’d be pretty interesting if we were cut to class 1a next chapter and we compare deku and bkg actions and see how they flipped. deku rn is angry, pushing ppl away, and only relying on his quirks the way bkg was and if bkg is more sympathetic, team working, emotional like deku was like two sides of the same coin
Well, I think that more than Bakugou, now Deku resembles Shigaraki?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I think the message in these panels is both the same: (also please notice the contrast between Izuku having only the lighter part of his mask showing, while Shigaraki's lower part is dark, and on the contrary Izuku's eyes are pitched in darkness, while Tomura's are very clear) "you can't tell me what to do". And it's a stark message. Both Izuku and Tomura here are dissociating from 'higher loyalties' or higher wills that controlled them until this moment (and for which they are grateful) - and this is the moment where we see both of them refusing to be controlled. Shigaraki refuses AfO, Izuku 'refuses' All Might. They don't need a 'safety net' anymore, but rather they need to make their will known and acknowledged. They want to fight on their own, FOR their own and for their own objectives (which are highly different - because both AfO and AM would like for them to 'step down' and rest, albeit for different reasons). This is their 'independence moment', and it's strikingly both dangerous and chilling, because both lose their compass, and the entire vibe they give off becomes a dreadful aura around them (which is then expressed by the energy/Quirk wires surrounding them). So I'd say you are correct in saying that we see a drastic change in Izuku, but rather than reflecting Bakugou, it reflects Shigaraki (almost alarmingly so).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
At least, that's what I personally think it is happening here (but I see why you would think this has some relation to Bakugō!).

What do you think Shouto will do in this final next? I hope he isn't sidelined for Endeavor again like in the first war..
A thousand dollars question, isn’t it?
Shouto, for better or for worse, has had his own development arc, that has been mostly that of ‘becoming the hero of his family’, in stark contrast to Endeavour, who fails on the family and the hero account (as seen in the last chapter).
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
As you see portrayed here, Shouto’s theme of breaking through the hate of his family, and the fear of failing at not becoming the way his father is (therefore someone who has made of his mistakes his biggest achievement) is made through the motion of becoming a ‘family hero’ and saving Touya. Perfunctorily, he fulfilled his aim and purpose.
While Touya’s faith and how their relationship will evolve is still under question (not the end result, just the process), I do not think that Shouto will be sidelined when it comes to Touya and the ending of the Todoroki’s family plot line, and not even in the final fight against AfO, as likely Endeavour will be too injured to fight, as he is currently fighting through all his might to fend off AfO or he will just be unable to fight more (interpret that as you wish).
I think that the confrontation between Dabi and Shouto has ended: their values are still at odds, as Touya did not think to get out of it alive, one. And two, he is still stuck on the idea that there is no turning back for him, now and that Shouto’s will to fight him stems from the fact that he is a villain, rather than his brother.
Tumblr media
But, Endeavour being sidelined from what is one of the most important confrontations in his life (namely the one between his ‘masterpiece’ and his ‘failure’) is exactly the point; look at the panel down here, Endeavour is accepting his faith as a burden, an obstacle to his sons’ future: he does not want his sins to colour the path of the youth, and therefore he is leaving Shouto to deal with Touya.
Tumblr media
He is clearly in want to make amends, but that does not mean that atoning or making it up to Touya will be enough, or will get Shouto on the sideline: Touya and Shouto are foils for a reason, and while Endeavour’s arc is centered around them - as their is around him - they are still independently interwoven with other characters (Touya with Tomura and Toga; Shouto with Midoriya and Bakugou; while Endeavour with Hawks).
They are all walking to the same point, and there is no way to tell who will get there first; however, what I can tell is that there would be no point to have Touya and Shouto fight now, only for it to be eclipsed by a Touya/Endeavour fighting encounter. They’re all well in it; but then again, what Touya says here (which is basically a reboot of the Plus Ultra, mind you) is also true: they are the absolute limit, and so who knows what awaits us next.

To be fair, Tobirama did sound low-key like Uchiha clan deserved to be killed in that moment. And he was the one who put their clan to the outskirts of Konoha.
Tobirama is one of the most grounded and realist characters in Naruto, and given their history - Tobirama was wary of the Uchiha, because of the intense emotions they were likely to feel; but also the knowledge that he hated the Uchiha or thought that they deserved to be killed has no ground in the canon narrative, as not only he personally trains Uchiha Kagami but he is also the one to give a relevant role to the Uchiha in the village (because, their power as police does not apply only to the ANBU and the Hokage himself). The Uchiha clan however has been repositioned in Konoha not by Tobirama, but by Hiruzen after the attack of the Kyuubi and because of the suspicion they might have been behind it? There were suspects of the Uchiha planning a coup because they felt marginalised by the village, as notwithstanding being a noble and powerful clan, none of them were not given prestige positions (Uchiha Fugaku not being considered as the possible Fourth Hokage), but how is that any of Tobirama’s fault? The man had his own quirks, and as a realist he just saw the Uchiha as powerful in their own stead, but if he did hate them and wanted them dead stay sure that he would have made it that the clan was extinct (I think I do have to remind that Tobirama was a genius, and creators of Jutsus that shinobi currently use). But then again: imagine you’re summoned from the dead by your own forbidden jutsu and an Uchiha wants to attack the village you helped nurture and grow.

it looks like Dabi's burns have extended to his cleavage too? rei and Shouto come get our mans pls
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Confronting Dabi from chapter 301 and now 329, it definitely looks like his burns have extended, which is honestly not a good sign. It does not forebode well, at all. I wonder whether the separation made by AfO of the League is made also for other reasons than the fact that together they might have been a threat to him and his goals (for example, it will be easier to take their Quirks, especially if there is no Tomura around AND it would be easier to bend them to his will, or keep their reunion and safety as a Damocle sword above them, in order to comply to his orders).

Do you think Dabi can be saved if he himself doesn't want to be?
I think that generally this fandom has a weird conception of the word ‘saving’ if I’m allowed.
Allow me to present you with this quote:
Man is an animal who has to live in a lie in order to live at all.
Which is why, most of the time, we believe in things that maybe we do consider true, but are just, after all, the internalisation in the lie we lived all along: Dabi has lived in a fake identity after almost burning to death for years, who the hell knows how surviving, and having a huge grudge against the man that abused him and ruined his dream for him - wanting a revenge, which if you look at it, looks just a big excuse not to revel in the feeling of disappointment, hurt and sadness that have been part of Touya all along (he does want revenge, don’t get me wrong, just it is born out of the negative feelings that Touya harboured after being neglected and abused for years and years to no end). This is why, I believed that Dabi, maybe does not want to be saved - not because he cannot be saved, but because he inherently believes in the lie that he cannot. Let’s put it this way: when Touya ‘died’, Dabi was born - but he was born out of a death place, of hurt, of revenge and of the disappointment one can only feel towards a parent in which they believe and that time after time shows how disappointing and frustrating reality is. This is why, once again, I believe that Dabi lives in the past, in a ‘lie’ and he continues doing so, thinking that his time to be saved has been lost long ago, when he was thirteen and burned at Sekoto Peak - and that is the reason why not only Shouto feels so similar to him (living in the resentment, not knowing how to break free of a pattern of steering away from E and what he represents and just failing to do so), but also will be able to reach out to him to show him that not everything is lost and that Touya still lives in him, meaning that there is hope beyond revenge and that things can change, no matter if one acknowledges it or not.
Concluding, yes, I think not only it will be possible but it also will be what happens: the realisation that even if he does not want to, believing that he maybe could be saved will be a tiebreaker that changed Dabi’s view of himself.
