You made me second guess myself but I went and checked again and it's bad.

I cannot turn up the voices in game - but I can do the voice chat options... that no one uses because we have discord and xbox live parties. MCC is wonderful but also held together with duct tape and Halo 4 itself is also A Mess.

I did just go and test turning down effects and turning up game volume but instead of gunfire drowning out the dialogue, the player spartan's grunts of pain are now way more audible. It sort of works, but again this is a mess of older games stapled together

talking to your neighbors is actually so good because my sister's upstairs neighbor somehow managed to sound like he was simultaneously playing basketball with a bowling ball and flipping over furniture every single day and it drove us crazy, then one day she talked to his girlfriend in the laundry room and she told her he likes to practice shadowboxing so if she ever hears noises that's what it is and now everytime bangs and thumps come from upstairs we're just like, oh he must be shadowboxing and instead of being annoying and confusing it's just hilarious
