Hi it's just to let you know that the official romanization of Revaan's name is Raverne ! Also they have romanized Baul's name to Baur !

Twst coming back at us again with the least expected romanization! thank you everybody (oh god my inbox) (no it's great, I literally asked for this and the reactions have been INCREDIBLE, thank you all!)

I do like Raverne though, I think it's got a nice fancy sound to it! (I had kinda suspected it was going to be an R instead of an L, so the fact that it's SO close to Laverne except for that is hilarious to me personally.) and Dragoneye Duke is honestly probably the best translation for his title, I wasn't envying the localizers that one. :') Baur instead of Baul I was NOT expecting, but in retrospect I think his name's supposed to be a reference to the Bauru crocodile, so that actually makes way more sense!

someone else also said Meleanor has become Maleanor, which is the REALLY weird one to me, because I was so surprised it was written as Mel instead of Mal in the first place?! oh god no I can't decide which one I like better. 😭 (I wonder if they might change it to Mal...they have made romanization changes before) (like I remember House of Distraction being corrected to House of Destruction in Playful Land) (I did check and she's still Mel for now, but I dunno, they might Mal her up and some point and save me from having to make a decision about which one to use) (HECK I CAN'T DECIDE)

Once again gonna ramble a bit about Monkey Wrench, because I noticed some fun little details in the designs.

There are three symbols and three colours associated with L.A.W, that being the triangle, diamond, and circle, as well as the colours red, yellow, and blue. People who wear these show that they either work for L.A.W or are showing some kind of agreement/submission towards them. Nearly all of the characters in the series wear either symbols or colours associated with L.A.W, but usually not more than one.

Jaw Bone, of course, is the enemy of L.A.W. They hate him. He hates them. We all know this. And his design actually does a good job reflecting that because there is NOTHING on his design that could tie him to L.A.W.

His design is entirely green and black (and I think it’s safe to say that green is considered an enemy colour of L.A.W, since so few people wear it) and he wears none of the simple shapes associated with them. It’s why his design kind of stands out against the other characters; nobody else presents themselves in such a way to make them look like they hate L.A.W.

But again, we all knew that already. The more interesting half of this is Agent K. I was rewatching episode 4 and I noticed that his design contained all three of the symbols associated with L.A.W, as shown here.

He’s got a triangle tie, a circle for his belt buckle, and diamonds for his sleeve cuffs. Which is a lot of L.A.W stuff for a guy who claims to hate them, and it definitely wasn’t an accident to design him this way on the creator’s parts.

We don’t know where his character will go, but it’s sure to be very interesting. It’s possible that he still works for L.A.W, but I think he might be a runaway in the same way that Shrike is. Either way, surely those symbols will come in relevant…

You know .. I don't know why people only limit their option/thinking to "is Yorishima the grandpa or not?" and start rethinking everything from that angle only ..

Not to say this idea is wrong or right more like ... I find it kinda funny that people don't see Yorishima as anything but that .. that that his only purpose in the story either to serve as "fake grandpa" or "be the real grandpa" and see no other purpose or different role to him which's amusing in a way ..

It's like being blinded either directly or indirectly to other ideas which might be the real goal by Midorikawa-sensei, until she come and say that his role is actually different <3

Is him knowing Reiko for sure/weird familiarity between him and Natsume only serve the point of "fake/real grandpa" .. is that the only role and option opens to him story-wise ?

Some might say that then if not that one then what other options/ideas for him story-wise ?

I can't be the only one considering other ideas/theories about him related to Reiko aside from the grandpa one, right ?!

Like for example ...

him being the brother of the real grandpa so he's Natsume's uncle

him being Reiko's killer

him being a firsthand witness to the story of Reiko and her husband even how she died and by who thus hated the exorcist world and distanced himself ever since

him being the one who took care of Reiko's daughter/Natsume's mother after Reiko's death till she married and protect/hide her till then

as for what I believe personally, well, let's say so far for me he's not the grandpa for sure so I'm looking at things from that angle. so, I do consider all those options even tho I lean to a certain one maybe but can't say for sure yet ...

I'm only saying that Midorikawa-sensei has many options for him story-wise than what people actually assumed the first time and locked him down to only that to consider what else might be there for him.

there might also be an option I hadn't considered yet for all we know so far <3

I don't think the Technocyte Coda "boys" are the original On-Lyne boys. I think the originals are long dead and these things are cloned from leftover DNA like hairbrushes and things like that (like one of Amir's datamined emails mentions in the mall). We know the Orokin like trying to do longevity experiments and cloning experiments later on in the timeline and if Gregory V is Alad V's ancestor, the motivations would certainly line up.

#this is what anon is talking about btw for the technocyte coda lore and the on-lyne boys and yeah i completely agree with them #this fully fits the motives and themes of the orokin empire so we seem to be seeing it start to creep it's way into the timeline #perhaps even the hollvania government were the ones who infected the area with techrot AKA the infested to begin with #maybe they had pre-orokin orokin or corpus investors who sponsored this whole thing as a sort of experiment too #let's just be glad Alad isn't as creepy about presumably young women as his ancient ancestor Gregory #he's creepy about warframes instead! xD #this is found in the Höllvania mall btw these emails that Amir got his hands on through hacking some servers or something #a government doing weird drug experiments on people who are on their land? hmmm where have we seen that before? :) hmm indeed #but yeah this whole backplot reeks of orokin involvement and would parallel Alad being super interested in the warframes #once again proving that yes salad v is indeed orokin as Hunhow had stated; it's probably the V family name tbh #wait.... what if the V family were some of the founders of the orokin empire #hmmm lots of food for thought and theory potential here to work with i really hope we see more of the concrete timeline in-universe #mod rose #warframe confession #warframe 1999 #warframe #gregory v #alad v #on-lyne #technocyte coda #yknow whatever a concrete timeline means in warframe's eternalism filled universe where things are changing all the time

I’m reflecting on cesaire’s work again and one of the little flourishes he does in discourse on colonialism is that he says the west will have to answer for its crimes against the human community. and I especially love this line because he’s using the same bourgeois universalising language that the imperial core so often does (“human rights” “freedom and justice for all” “spreading democracy across the globe”) but as a cudgel against the west, to reframe the human community as all those who lay outside of it. anyway I think everyone should read discourse on colonialism

lesbian masterdoc and the unforgivable damage of making people hear compulsory heterosexuality and think of "can lesbians have crushes on men?" (no) instead of "are heterosexual women settling in unhappy marriages with men bellow their worth because of economic and social pressure?" (yes)

I think we're gonna get at least one more chapter where we wrap back around to the Diasomnia boys (I have THEORIES!!!!), but I think 13 will probably be the last one! maybe also 14 as a short epilogue/setup for episode 8, depending on where they cut after we deal with Malleus. we are definitely approaching the endgame though! ᕙ( •̀ ᗜ •́ )ᕗ the party is almost assembled...the light is at the end of the tunnel...it is almost time to go throw pies into Tsunotarou's silly face until he comes to his senses...

(disclaimer since I don't think they've actually officially confirmed that there's going to be an episode 8, that this is of course just me assuming that Grim's arc/whatever's going on with Crowley probably/various other wrapups are going to be a separate episode, and aren't gonna be folded into the absolute beast that has been episode 7. BUT it does make for a nice break point and makes sense thematically with Ramshackle being, like, the semi-official 8th dorm and all, so I think it's a pretty safe bet at this point!)
