Meet The Donaldsons
summary: being art’s college girlfriend and being the first girl he’s ever brought home. headcanon of art being the child of a single mother, raised by her and his grandma <3. meeting the family!
warnings: blurb-like, not a full fic. unedited from notes app. kissing. fluff!!! short n sweet babyyy
The first thing you see when you approach is that the house is big and white. The way Art spoke about his mom, you’d think with her grace, she’d be royalty and this house was just that. As you got closer, the intimidation slowed as you could come to see the huge gardens and the too many statues, garden gnomes and pink flamingo decor. Before you got out of the car, Art asked if you were okay. You nodded, so the two of you headed up the front few steps. Art knocked.
She opened the door with her arms up and open, “Arthur!” She beamed, wrapping her son in one of the biggest hugs you’ve ever seen given to anyone. “Oh, my darling, let me look at you.” She pulled away from the hug, observing him, holding his face in both of her hands.
“Mom,” he smiled sheepishly, nose scrunched. You watched his grin take over his smile, perfect teeth showing bright.
“You got taller? I thought you couldn’t! And you’ve been working out, my god, Art, these biceps.” She said, giving his arms a squeeze. You smiled and put your hands on your hips. “My god, you look like a man.”
His smile is pretty as always, but this time you can see that they share similar teeth. “Mom,” he said, a little quieter, her hands still on his face, his arms, his shoulders. He tipped his head toward you and his mom gasped a little.
“Oh my god, oh my god, I’m so sorry, darling,” she turned to you, gasping again when she fully set her eyes on you. she was not afraid to pull you into a hug. “Hi.” She said, rubbing your back as she hugged you. Her hug had the perfect pressure and you note that she smells like pumpkin spice. “My goodness, you are gorgeous, let me look at you.”
“It’s nice to meet you,” you laughed a little as she pulled away, giving you a spin. “I’m-“
“Y/N! I know, I’ve heard all about you! God, you’re gorgeous. Art, she’s gorgeous.” She nods back in Art’s direction. His grin is ear-to-ear, wide and stunning as he nods in agreement. “My goodness, who knit you, a supermodel and moviestar? Or two models, look at your eyes, they’re stunning!”
“Thank you,” you smiled. “I-“
“You might just be one of the most beautiful women I’ve ever seen-“ She turned back to Art, “She is so beautiful.”
Art nodded again, arms folded over his stomach. “I know.”
“Does he tell you that you’re beautiful?”
“All the time,” you replied. “You raised him right.”
She laughed and you could see the resemblance between her and her son as she bat you away, “I like you. Come in, come in!”
She opens the door and steps back inside, Art gladly slips his arm around you, his hand coming to rest on the opposite side of your waist. You beam at him and he’s smiling just the same, your shared thoughts are silent, but understood.
The front hall is massive and bright. It’s not white like the exterior, but the walls are a pale sort of rosy-purple and there are tons and tons of paintings of all sorts of things lining up the grand staircase. But on main display was all of Art’s memorabilia- ribbons, trophies all hanging and on small shelves above the archway to the next room. The staircase, as beautiful, wrapped around that arch to come down on both sides of the foyer. You were sure you’d never been in a house so big in your life, this foyer was probably as big as your house back home. “Wow,” you mumbled quietly. “You told me it was big, but I thought mansion big not big mansion big.”
“I’ve mentioned it but how many times do I really want to throw around the word ‘mansion’, I’d sound like some sort of…”
“I taught him better,” his mom nodded just ahead of you both. “Art knows that we are beyond lucky to have what we have, I couldn’t stand it if I birthed a little Richie Rich. I was already terrified when he came out blonde!” Her laugh was loud and melodious and filled the hallway entirely. You looked at Art, nodding.
“I’m not- yeah- shhh,” he smiled, passing you just a little, hand sliding back around your waist and into his pocket. He rocked just a little on his heels. “Tour? Mom?”
“Tour!” She cheered, “What was I thinking, charcuterie can wait. You like cheese, Y/N?”
“Love.” You replied, smiling.
“Good, because we have way too much. I wasn’t sure what to get but charcuterie is about assortment anyway, so I bought the whole selection. It almost takes up a table!” She laughed her booming laugh again. As she walked into the next room, you had a moment to fully assess her profile. She was short, shorter than Art, just the tiniest bit shorter than you. Shoulder length golden blonde that was just the slightest bit grey but in a sort of chic way. She shared Art’s eyes and his smile.
She didn’t look like she’d gotten any work done though Art had told you she’d gotten some. Her eyes crinkled when she laughed and her eyebrows were expressive and you wanted to credit her youthful glow with a happy life. She was also dressed in a tasteful blue floral wrap dress. Despite her money, the dress was one you’d seen at Walmart not too long ago. She also wasn’t wearing any shoes.
“You saw the foyer, this is the living room.” The room was decorated with flowers and lots of colours, though brown was the colour that was frequented most. But it was paired with pinks and blues and greens. You’d almost expected one of those homes that are nearly empty, but there were far too many fruits in the coffee table bowl, pomegranates and oranges and grapes. The clutter was gorgeous, books all around and of course, more of Art’s tennis trophies and lots of photos of him and his mom. She really loved her son, it was sweet to see.
“You were so little,” you sighed sweetly, looking at a photo of little Art and his tiny tennis racket. “Little blondie.” Art came up behind you, wrapping his arms around your waist from behind as you gazed over the pictures of him at one, two, five, seven…
“I haven’t seen some of these in ages,” Art said, looking over them himself. “Before it was diaper pictures.”
You gasped, “No way, they’re gone?”
“Darling, they’re never gone. They’re in the photo book on the coffee table. Let me tell you, nothing compares to this one picture I have of little Art in the kitchen sink, butt-naked. He was one, maybe two? He-“
“Mom?” Art spoke with a tone of loving warning. “No sink bath pictures, please.”
You giggled, swaying with Art’s hands around your waist, teasing. “Later.” You nodded. Art’s mom gave you a sly little wink, guiding you into the next room. This room was a messy little office/study. A grand desk, gorgeously glossy and made of the prettiest coloured wood you’d ever seen. The walls were lined with books and the computer on the table was fancy. Big, chunky, fancy. There was an easel in the corner and a paint setup with shelving. “I like to paint with oils.” His mom told you. “Between business calls.”
The next room was a little gym, then a laundry room, the kitchen was absolutely stunning, huge, very fancy. The dining room was insanely gorgeous, lined with pretty wallpaper and a cream tablecloth. The next room over was a small parlour. You really had the idea that Art’s mom was a sports mom, but she was her own person entirely, and her personality was splashed all over the walls.
They took you outside where there was a pool, a hot tub, and a tennis court. A whole tennis court. It made sense, though. It was the biggest splash of Art you’d seen so far if you didn’t count the shrines. “Oh wow, it’s huge.”
“Where Art learned to love tennis. We bought the house with it, thought we’d let him try it out. Look at him now, on his way to a big name.” She pinched his cheek again and he bat her hand away lovingly. You grinned, squeezing his hand. “Art tells me you play tennis too?”
“I’m learning.”
“She’s better than me,” Art told his mom.
“Am not,” you folded your arms. “I can barely hit the ball.”
“Oh, neither can I, honey. We should play.” His mom grinned, grabbing your hand. Your fingers interlocked and she pulled you in, holding your hand as she pulled you down to the garden. You got into conversation with Art and his mom about the trees, how he used to play in them. It moved into a softer conversation about his childhood and about yours, moving through other curious rooms. You circled back to a room with the table full of cheese and crackers and other fruits and meats, where the conversation was school, your history, repeating the story of how you met. You two sat on the loveseat across from her in her tall pink chair. She clasped her hands together happily, listening, then after a while, dismissed herself for an afternoon nap until dinner. “I’ll leave Art to show you the upstairs. The bedrooms…” She teased.
“Mom,” Art said, a small flush to his ears and nose. He was cute. His mom fluttered out of the room with a small smirk. Art hid his face and you giggled just a little. He raised his head, nose pink. “I’m sorry, she’s…”
“Perfect,” you finished his sentence. You were so genuinely thrilled by all of this, it was no wonder you were practically bursting.God, she’s amazing, Art. She’s beautiful and looks just like you and she’s so eccentric, I’ve never met anyone like her- And I think she likes me.”
“She loves you,” he nodded, pushing your hair behind your ear, smiling. You couldn’t help but grin, leaning in to kiss him. Just a small kiss, with a mutual smile between. “I don’t think she’s ever loved me as much as she loves you.”
“Ooh, I might steal. You better watch out before your mom becomes mine,” you teased, kissing him quickly again. Your hand gently cupped the side of his face, but he held you close.
“There’s other ways to do that, I promise.” He kissed you again. “Come upstairs. My grandma is staying with us for the weekend too, you can meet her if she’s not asleep.”
You kept smiling, “Think she’ll like me as much?”
“She made my mom, my mom loves you and frankly, so do I. I don’t think my grandma can do anything but love you too.”
“Three generations,” you smiled, letting him pull you off the small couch. His smile was content and near a smirk. “I love you too.”
“Mhm.” He pulled you in again, kissing you once more on the lips, then forehead, before pulling you up the stairs. At the top, he did a little turning gesture, wide-arms referencing the top floor. You were a little in awe at how big it all still was. “Thoughts?”
“Huge.”
He chuckled, kissing your shoulder gently as he walked around you. “I used to go down the stairs on my stomach. Got rug burn. My grandma, actually, would always get me frozen peas to soothe it. I always went back and did it again later.”
“I think we would have gotten along as kids,” you nodded. “You’re cute, Richie Rich.”
“Unfair.” He retorted, leading you to his grandma’s room. He knocked gently at her door, “Grandma?”
“Arthur? That you?” A sweet woman’s voice came from the room. “Come in, come in!”
You smiled at the use of his full name. He winced just a little, smile on his face matching yours. He pulled you along as he opened the door. The room was baby blue, with a big wooden bed with lovely pale blue curtains. there was a tv and a rocking chair, which his grandma was seated in. Her hair in a little bun, she was a tiny woman. Very short, very thin, but also still very pretty. “Oh, it’s Y/N!” She smiled, clasping her hands together in a fashion much like Art’s mom. “Come, darling, I’ve heard so much about you.”
Art shot you an ‘I told you so’ look, but you were busy having your heart full of the fact Art spoke enough about you with his mom and grandma that she knew exactly who you were by name and wanted to see you immediately. You stepped her way, “It’s so nice to meet you, Art talks about you all the time.”
“Likewise, my dear! You’re just as beautiful as Art described. Do a spin for me?” You gladly turned in a circle. “Absolutely stunning. Art, you did well, my boy!”
“I think so,” he replied, stepping forward to hug her gently in her chair. He was so cute. Too cute. “How are you?”
“Oh, just a little sleepy. Was going to have a nap in a few minutes. Same old, same old woman.” She bat the air playfully. “My god will we talk at dinner. I am so glad you found someone with such kind eyes, Arthur. They match yours perfectly.” A poetic woman. “How are you, dear?”
“Oh, I’m good,” you smiled.
“And Arthur?”
“I’m good too- do you need help getting to bed? We can leave you to nap.”
She nodded, “Always such a kind young man. Missed you. I watched the last game your mom recorded, you were spectacular.”
“I missed you too,” he said with a small smile, helping get up. “Thank you, Grandma.” His lips pressed into a straight-lined smile. She held onto his arm as he walked her slowly over to her bed, helping her in. Your heart fluttered a bit at the simple act.
“Thank you for coming to say hi, Y/N. I look forward to meeting you better after my nap.” She smiled, pulling the covers over. She squeezed Art’s hand and whispered something to him under his breath. He grinned ear-to-ear. “Good mid-afternoon!” She called to you and Art jogged back over to you, you waved and followed him out the door.
“What did she say?” You giggled, moving closer to him, your chest pressed against his. He just grinned. “Tell me?”
“Mmm, later,” he nodded, hands wrapping around your waist. “Come see my room.”
“Is there a bed?”
“Queen sized?” He grinned, not letting you go, but pulling you with him, still against him, looking down at you just slightly. “My room is furthest down the hall. No judging though.”
“That’s all I’m here to do,” you teased, kissing him on the cheek and walking ahead to the room at the end of the hall. He nodded, so you opened the door and your jaw dropped. The room had pale red walls, partial beige carpeting against wooden floors, a big wooden bed, and a tv setup. You tried to ignore the folded ping pong table in the corner. “Oh my god, it’s huge. The room, the bed, the… wow.”
“It’s big, I know.” He walked over to his bed. The walls had tennis posters, movie posters, and game posters. You noted the mini fridge.
“This is not what I pictured,” you gawked a little as you took it all in. “But it’s so… you.” You eyed the books on the shelves. Old books, they seemed. It was very Art. Even his comforter was very him. He sat on his bed and you stood in front of him, looking down. Your hands rested on his shoulders gently. “Thank you for bringing me here with you. It’s amazing, it’s really beautiful here and your room… Richie Rich.”
He shook his head, hands gently sliding up your hips. “Maybe.”
“Knew it.” You said, pointing a finger. His hands snaked around your lower back, slipping under your shirt to touch your skin. “You admit it.”
“Admit what?”
“Are you paying attention?” You teased, tapping just under his chin. He looked up at you with those soft eyes that read as a ‘no’. “That’s okay.”
“Tired.” He nodded. So were you, you noticed. The trip had been exhausting, but meeting his mom and grandma had given you a second wind that was now dying. You giggled a little as his arms wrapped all the way around your waist, pulling you down onto him on the bed. With easily intertwined limbs, you both got comfortable on his bed, his arms around you, your legs twisted up comfortably. His hand ran over the back of your head, through your hair. A nap seemed to be the theme in the house. “I love you.”
“I love you too,” You replied, squeezing him just a little. You moved just once more, so that Art was more in your arms, and you kissed him on the temple.
“I always dreamed about having a girl in my bed,” he mumbled, a grin on his face, his eyes closed. You kissed the side of his head again, he turned just a little to kiss you properly. You giggled a little uncontrollably as he rolled on top of you for just a second, kissing you hard and then kissing your cheek, your nose, your cheek again, your lips, and then reverting back to his original position.
“To do that?”
“That and other things.” He nodded, eyes shut again, smile still very wide on his face. “Later.”
“Sounds like a-“ you yawned, he followed. “Plan.” You settled in once more and ten minutes later the both of you were sound asleep. And you stated that way for a few hours, maybe three, intertwined on top of his comforter. His mom slowly opened the door in the fresh dark of his room, the sun having set, after knocking a few times with no answer. Her eyes fell on the two of you and she smiled, before closing the door and calling downstairs to say that dinner would be postponed another hour.
Around nine, you woke in the calm silence of his room, disoriented for a moment, but you felt Art beside you, breathing steadily. You looked at the digital clock next to his bed and sighed just a little. “Art,” you whispered, kissing his cheek gently. “Art, wake up.”
He stirred just a little. You kissed his cheek again, then the corner of his eye, then his lips gently. His hand raised, sliding over your jaw and into the back of your hair as he woke into kissing you more. It was sweet and gentle. “Hi.” He said between kisses. “What time is it?”
“Nine.” You replied. His hand slipped down over your arm, rubbing up and down. “Think we slept through dinner?”
“We eat late anyway,” he smiled. “Should probably head down though.”
“Mmm, okay,” you nodded back, starting to get up. He didn’t let you, kept you close. “Art.”
“Mhm?”
“‘Should probably head down though’,” you quoted back to him. He shook his head, pulling you back in to kiss you. You giggled against his lips. “Mmm, Art- your mom, your grandma- are they waiting?”
“Maybe-“ He kissed you again. “Probably. Okay. Let’s go.” You smiled, watching him stretch and get up from the bed. You slipped off the opposite side and went to turn the light on. You checked over your eye makeup which surprisingly wasn’t so disturbed from sleep. Your clothes were fine. You looked presentable, running fingers through your hair. Art, of course, didn’t have to do a thing. The two of you talked about the pictures on the walls as you walked down the stairs, teasing the gap between his teeth from his childhood and remarking on how cute his ears are and were, laughing as you entered the living room again.
“You’re up! Perfect. How was your nap?” His mom immediately set down the book she was reading. “I have to tell you, my nap was so lovely. I had a dream about creme brûlée, so I had my chef whip some up for after dinner. I would make it myself usually, I know, but I thought since we have guests, I’d much rather be present.”
Art rubbed his eye, “Nap was good. Where’s grandma?”
“Knitting in the parlour, we should grab her and head to the table, I know she’s dying to talk to you, Y/N. Kept going on about your hips and my god, I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t also jealous of them.” She laughed loudly, standing up.
“Thank you,” you smiled. “I’m jealous of your hair, I mean the volume, it’s gorgeous.”
“So what you’re saying is we go get our hair done tomorrow?” She shimmied a little teasing shrug. “Oh, and nails? Maybe a pedicure and a massage. Art, your girlfriend is mine.”
He leaned into your ear, “She’s always wanted a daughter.” It warmed your heart.
“I would love that, but I can’t-“
“If you mention money, I want you out of here within the hour,” she warned you playfully as you walked to the parlour. “My treat! I need someone to go with me.”
Art’s hand slipped under the back of your shirt as you turned the corner again, resting on your lower back. “I would love that. That’s amazing.”
“Oh, it’s nothing. But it’ll be fun. We can gossip, talk boybands, get lunch? If that’s okay with Art. Art?”
“I’ll… spend the day with grandma,” he nodded at you, then his mom with a smile. You could tell me really loved how much your mom loved you. Like he was proud, almost. “It’s okay with me.”
“Thank you. We’d be back for dinner and you’re staying four days, correct?”
“Yes,” he replied.
“So you really mean five?”
“Mom,”
“So you really mean a week?” She burst out laughing, turning and hitting Art in the arm playfully. “No worries, darling.” She opened the door and with a few sweet words, you all made your way to the dining room, Art’s grandmother in her wheel chair asking you your favourite colour, movie, show, showtune, animal, etc.
Dinner was delicious and the conversation was lighthearted. His grandmother was gorgeous with a stunning sense of humour and his mom and her got along like best friends. He interacted with them so sweetly. It was clear they were truly valued by him and their influence on him was suddenly clearer. The way he talked was from them, some of his little hand gestures were definitely from his mom. You laughed and ate and shared a bottle of limoncello until around eleven.
They were night people for sure. The conversation eventually lead to listening some music and then eventually, saying goodnight. Art’s mom pushed his grandma away in the wheelchair and you grinned wide the moment they were out of sight, turning to Art. “I love it here,” you told him. “I love your mom, your grandma.” You kissed him, his hands eased around your waist. “Thank you for bringing me-“ He kissed you again. “Home. I am so-“ You couldn’t help but giggle madly as he kissed you back down onto the couch, you were unable to fight it. His hands on your waist still, one knee between your legs, the other knee he balanced on his knee on the edge of the couch. He kissed you passionately, with the underlying notes of sweetness, both of you smiling into it. He was happy to be home, he was happy to have y-
His knee slipped off the edge of the couch, causing him to slip right onto the carpet. You gasped slightly as he tumbled, but then he just laughed, laying on his back on the purple rug. You couldn’t help but laugh with him. He started to get up, but you wouldn’t let him, kissing him as he started to come up, the both of you still laughing into it. He cupped your jaw, pulled gently, and in seconds you were on top of him, kissing him on the carpet while some 90s soft music continued to play from a record his mom had put on a while ago.
A gentle kiss, though unending, his hands through your hair as you kissed on the floor. Smiles still unwavering. Things had gone so much better than expected, you were happy. Really happy. You had plans with his mom tomorrow. She loved you. His grandma loved you. You had three more days with them. With him. Here, in his home, the home he grew up in. God, it was perfect. He was perfect. You were overwhelmed by just how perfect everything had been so of course you kissed him just a little harder. He took it gladly.
Keeping it tame, you ended up only kissing, which felt safe for the living room floor. After a while the kissing turned to talking, your face hovering just above his, fixing his tousled hair and kissing his nose. “You have to try playing tennis again.” He told you. “For me.”
“For you,” you nodded. “Third evening.”
“After dinner, third evening.”
“Mhm. So we can go back up to your room after.”
“Yeah?”
“So I can shower and sleep.” You teased.
“Awe,” he sighed, kissing you again. You kept smiling as the two of you soon got up and chased each other back to his bedroom. After an hour or so, the both of you were tired enough to pass out intertwined. Under the covers this time, with a big day ahead of you both.
Your head on his chest in his bed in his home. It was soon to feel like yours too.

i’ll do anything
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
requested
a/n: tysm to the anon who sent this request. i’ve been so keen to write it. i love a super menacing reader, i think its so funny to write them.
pairing: sabrina carpenter x reader
warnings: smut!!!, physical violence (not to either of the main characters), public sex, cursing, thigh grinding, finger riding, nipple play.
•*¨*•.¸¸♪
you & sabrina decided to go out for dinner somewhere close to your apartment. you both had busy days and had no time or energy to cook.
you two were the it-couple of the century but you didn’t show yourselves much, valuing the privacy of your own home since you two were in the limelight so much.
due to this circumstance, you had your fair share of paparazzi follow you around when you did show your face.
when you two left the restaurant, there was a flood of paparazzi snapping photos of the two of you.
you were annoyed, you had a long day and you didn’t need any more of this. she was pouting, she clearly had just as shitty of a day as you. you gripped her hand and pulled her towards your car, trying to make a clear path for the two of you. you didn’t have security, it was just the two of you.
you snapped when you saw one of them shove sabrina, trying to get a picture. that was your girl, he had no right. in a fit of rage, you grabbed his camera and smashed it to bits. you followed by throwing a punch at him, your fist colliding with his face in no time.
sabrina jumped, shocked by your actions. she wasn’t afraid of you, she knew you were just protecting her. however, that protectiveness you were displaying, the furrow of your eyebrow, the hardening of your jaw… it was doing something to her.
“fuck off! or i’ll snap you in half!” you turned and told off a different man who was snapping photos of you breaking the camera.
the anger in your voice, the gritting of your teeth, it was beginning to get all too much for her. her thighs started to rub together as a last minute effort to contain the wetness pooling at her core.
you tugged her towards the car, opening the passenger seat for her. despite your anger, you were still polite, and that spurred her on even further. she was looking at you with bedroom eyes that were incredibly hard to miss. you leaned down to the seat and buckled her seatbelt for her, kissing her cheek in the process. she almost moaned just from that.
“glad you’re okay, baby.” you mumbled. you pulled away and shut the door, making your way to the driver’s seat.
you hopped in and buckled your seatbelt. you started the car and waited a couple of seconds.
“thank you for sticking up for me.” she said as you put the car into gear. she knew she couldn’t wait. she put the car back in park just as you were about to go. “now i need you to fuck me.”
you turned to her with wide eyes as you both undid your seatbelts. you had no idea you would get this reaction out of her. you reclined your seat, trying to move over to the back but she took that opportunity to straddle you in the driver’s seat.
“oh… you’re needy, needy.” you said, smiling as you felt her wetness on your stomach. you sat up and your fingers met her panties, circling the fabric. “sooo wet. did i really make you feel like this?” you asked, curiosity peaking.
the thought of the two of you getting caught was turning you on even further. the crowd of paparazzi just dispersed not even five minutes ago, you were sure some of them were lurking.
she nodded and bit down on her lip, her eyes fluttering shut as your fingers worked their magic. “mmhm… so hot seeing you angry…” she mumbled as you pulled her hips down to meet your thigh. she gasped, flinching a little bit. you loved getting a rise out of her.
“who’s my pretty girl?” you asked her, slowly moving her hips to grind on your thigh at a dreadfully slow pace.
“me… i’m your pretty girl.” she said, whimpering at how slow you were going. “stop teasinggg…” she said, prolonging her consonants.
“i’m not teasing, darling. you’re just so fucking needy.”
you grabbed her jaw in your hand, making her turn to look outside the car.
“look, you couldn’t even wait to get back home before needing me to fuck you dumb.” you said, growling under your breath. “such a good little slut for me.”
“yeah… yeah…” she said, under her breath, her eyes shut. “i’m your little slut. i love being your slut.” you could tell she was already sensitive, perhaps the overwhelming amount of arousal from earlier pushed her along further than you thought.
you raised your calf so your thigh pressed even harder against her core. you saw the wet patch start to form as she got herself off on the fabric of your pants. she gripped your shoulders, her acrylics digging into your shirt.
“mmph, fuck.” she said, leaning down to bury her face into your neck. “wanna cum, wanna cum for you.” she said, muffled.
“you cum when i tell you.” you said, yanking her hair back so she was sitting back up again. but you pulled her closer, placing your forehead against hers. “how bad do you want it?”
“so bad… so so bad… need to cum all over you.” she said, forcing her eyes open to make eye contact with you.
“you want me to let you cum?”
“please, pretty please. i’ll do anything.” she said, nodding.
you lifted the front of her skirt, pressing your thumb down on her clit every time she grinded towards you. she grunted softly as her clit hit your thumb every single time.
“you can cum, princess.” you nodded at her.
her breath started to hitch as her moans started to increase in pitch and frequency. she jolted as she finished all over your thigh, crying out a high pitched moan, her eyes squeezed shut.
you sighed, smiling at your work.
you fell back into the seat but pulled her along with you, capturing her lips in a forceful kiss. you pulled her upwards a little bit, lifting the skirt she was wearing so her entire ass was on display to the world.
“this is what you get. the world is gonna see just how desperate you are for me.” you laughed at the state of her. she was on your chest, her hands at your shoulders, her arousal dripping onto your bare stomach. you were suddenly pushing her panties down until they were at her knees.
you wrapped your arm around the back of her thigh, running a finger along her slit while nursing her cheek, pressing kisses to it as her eyes fluttered shut again.
her breath quivered as she tried to speak. “you’re just so hot… wanna ride your fingers.”
you figured you could do that.
“okay, baby. i’ll give you that.” you cooed. “but just you know.” you gripped her cheeks again. “it’s only cause i’m letting you have it.”
she nodded out of desperation.
you moved your hand to sit between the two of you, pushing her panties to the side once more. her mouth dropped open when you inserted a finger into her, quickly following up with a second one.
she moved her hips up and down, riding her fingers like her life depended on it. her hips bounced, raising up then slamming down on your lap.
you reached up to grope one of her tits, pulling her shirt down as you did. you toyed with the nipple, twisting it in between her fingers. you saw goosebumps travel across her chest along with a red blush.
you sat back up and took her other boob into your mouth, biting down on the nipple while you continued to play with the other one.
sabrina put her hands on the back of your head, pushing your face further into the soft pillow of her breast. you groaned softly, feeling the warmth of her chest.
she continued to get herself off on your fingers. you noticed her pace got sloppy when she started to fall back down harder after lifting herself up, you decided to help her out by pumping your fingers in and out of her.
“yes… yes. just like that.” she eventually had to stop lifting herself up, her legs starting to get tired. you continued to finger her, curling your fingers inside of her which got her thighs shaking.
you pulled your mouth away from her tit with a ‘pop!’ noise.
“you gonna cum again for me?” you asked, flashing her a cheeky and toothy smile.
“yes… keep going, i’m gonna… gonna cu—“ she couldn’t even finish her sentence before she reached her climax and was leaking all over your fingers. she cried your name out, pushing her body into yours.
she fell into your chest, you wrapped your arm around her back to hug her. your face softened a little bit when you saw her flushed and fucked out.
“good girl, that’s my good girl.” you comforted her. she whined softly, kissing you weakly.
“you need to stop getting angry, it makes me horny.” she coughed out, her throat was dry from her mouth hanging open so much.
“you understand that i will keep getting angry if it means we get to do this more?”
“please please please, don’t.”
•*¨*•.¸¸♪
the next day when you two woke up. both your phones had blown up overnight.
you woke sabrina up after checking the reason why.
a photo of sabrina flushed out against your chest, panting while her skirt rode up enough to see her panties, had gone viral.
she covered her face in embarrassment as you laughed at her.
“fuckin’ paparazzi.”

Fall Into Me - Chapter Nine: I'd Fall for You Twice if That's What You Wanted
dbf!Joel x f!reader
Tumblr media
Summary: Joel is hanging on by a thread as a single father to a tenacious 10-year-old Sarah. Feeling like he's drowning, like the world is about to spit him out, he needs some help before he breaks in half. At your dad's insistence, you show up in his life and change everything.
Story is inspired by the song Fall Into Me by Forest Blakk. Chapter titles will be lyrics from the song.
Word Count: 3.2k
Chapter Warnings: Explicit, under 18 take a hike. No outbreak AU. Lots of feelings. Sarah, Tommy, Emily, and JB unknowingly banding together for the win. Joel is his own warning. Inappropriate (or entirely appropriate?) use of a massager. Age gap of about 9 years (Reader 24/25, Joel 33/34). No use of y/n. Reader has a nickname used only by her dad and Joel uses various terms of endearment (darlin', sweetheart, etc.).
Thank you so much to everyone who reads this self-indulgent story and extra thanks to those who comment and/or reblog - you all make me feel like a rock star!

Chapter Eight | Main Masterlist
“Girl, you’ve got it baaad,” Emily teased, watching you eye your phone every five seconds. The pair of you were getting drinks at your favorite watering hole the Saturday before your first full week of officially teaching.
“I can’t help it, Em. He’s got this, like, hold over me or something,” you replied sheepishly, one hand tucking your phone away in your back pocket. You were starting to annoy yourself with how often you checked for texts from Joel.
“You’re in love, that’s what happens.” Emily shrugged and sipped at her fruity mixed drink. “How’d the holidays go?”
Your expression lit up as you told Emily about your first major holidays with the Millers. Having spent some holidays with them while you were still away at school, your dad already fit into their family dynamic seamlessly. You were a happy and much-loved addition to the festivities and there was plenty of laughter among the adults at how badly Tommy botched dinner for both Thanksgiving and Christmas. Why Joel and your dad ever let him try again after the wreck that was Thanksgiving dinner was beyond you. Thankfully, your dad saved the day both times with his unparalleled grilling skills.
“So, it’s safe to say that JB’s still happy about you and Joel being together?” Emily asked after your own laughter at recounting the mess died down.
“Is he ever,” you replied with a shake of your head. “He loves to rib Joel on making an honest woman out of me. Joel takes it in stride, but I’m kinda afraid that it’ll scare him off if my dad keeps it up.”
“Oh, please! That man is clearly head over fuckin’ heels for you. Hell, he’s already told you and JB that he loves you, he’s not goin’ anywhere!” After taking another sip of her drink, Emily shot you a pointed look. “When the hell am I gonna meet Joel, anyway? I feel like you’re actively hiding him from me.”
You stilled.
Were you doing that? You didn’t think so, not at first, but… If you were honest with yourself, there was an element of truth to Emily’s accusation.
“Shit, Em. I’m not doing it purposefully, I swear,” you replied beseechingly, pausing to figure out how to properly explain things. Finding a scratch in the tabletop suddenly fascinating, you stared at it while continuing. “I just have to share him so much already, between Sarah and my dad, even his brother – not that I begrudge him spending time with any of them, especially Sarah! It’s just… when I have time with him, I want to keep him to myself. You know what I mean?”
God, that made you sound so selfish. You looked up to find Emily grinning at you.
“What?” you asked, confused.
“I’ve never seen you so in love. It looks good on you.” Emily clinked her now empty glass against your half-full one. “Just promise me that I’ll get to meet him soon. We could do a double date or something, so it doesn’t take away too much of your precious alone time.”
Over another round of drinks, you made plans for a few Fridays from now, quietly hoping Joel wouldn’t mind.
Heading home, you longed to see Joel, but it was late, and he was spending time with Sarah. He went to great lengths to make sure his daughter did not feel left out or neglected while the two of you explored your relationship, setting aside time for just the two of them to hang out. You loved that about him and knew how important that quality time was for Sarah. Besides, you planned to head over there tomorrow to get a little quality time of your own ahead of the busy week ahead.
In the morning, you slept in and lazed around the house for a while, taking the opportunity to relax and ease into your day while your dad puttered around until mid-day. You hadn’t heard from Joel, but that didn’t bother you – he knew you planned to come over. Around one o’clock, you headed over to the Millers, picking up some pizza and beer on the way.
Pulling up in front of the house, you found your usual spot in the driveway taken by your dad’s truck while Tommy’s truck blocked the remaining space. With a huff you parked along the curb. You would have ordered more pizza if you knew everyone would be here.
“Howdy boys,” you greeted as you walked in. “I come bearing pizza and beer, though I fear we’ll need lots more with this crew.”
Only one set of eyes turned away from the football game playing on TV as they all greet you in return. Getting up from his beloved corner spot on the couch, Joel took the pizza and beer from your hands and placed them on the coffee table before pulling you into the kitchen for a proper greeting.
“Hi darlin’, I’ve missed you,” Joel murmured, his voice already raspy from yelling at the TV. He pulled you close until your bodies were flush together and kissed you deeply. Like a magnet, your fingers threaded through his messy curls, tugging gently as he nibbled your bottom lip.
“Mmm, I missed you, too, handsome. Didn’t know you were having company.”
Joel flashed his big cow eyes at you, eyebrows pinched together regretfully. “’M sorry, baby. I didn’t know they were coming by to watch the game ‘til they got here. Apparently, my TV is the best, so here they are. Hope that’s ok. I’ll kick ‘em right the hell out if you want me to.”
The thought did cross your mind.
“Nah, enjoy the game with the boys. I’ll sit with you guys for a bit then hang with Sarah until they leave.” Still wrapped in each other’s arms, you nuzzled the tanned skin of Joel’s neck and he hummed.
“You gonna stay over?”
You shouldn’t, not on a school night – your first as a bona fide teacher – but you had so little time together. “Sure. Just don’t keep me up too late, Mister. Those kids are exhausting, and I need my energy for the first day.”
“Miller! Stop neckin’ with my daughter and get your ass out here!” your dad’s voice bellowed through the house, causing the two of you to spring apart.
“Jesus, Dad,” you sighed, pecking Joel on the lips one last time before following him out to the living room. When would the game be over?
Surprisingly, you enjoyed the time watching the game with everyone. Even Sarah came down to join you all at half-time, book in hand, and sat between you and Joel reading. It was a lovely afternoon and a lovelier night as Joel held you in his arms, whispering words of praise into your hair until you fell into a deep slumber.
Tumblr media
Your first week of teaching passed in a blur. After a month of assisting the prior teacher before his official retirement, the students knew you and respected your authority, setting the stage for an overall lovely experience. You started off with earth science lessons and most of the kids were engaged and eager to learn. Of course, you had a few little challenges with difficult students testing their boundaries, but you felt good about the way you handled each situation.
You stayed later after the students were dismissed, using the time to organize the room to your liking and get the lesson plans in order. Sarah perched at one of the long wooden tables working on her homework while you completed your tasks. The pattern offered you and Sarah some quality time together and the young girl found great enjoyment in putting you on the spot, especially when her dad was the topic at hand.
“JB keeps telling dad he needs to marry you,” Sarah blurted randomly Friday afternoon. “Do you want to?”
Staring at her wide-eyed, unsure what to say, you merely shrugged. Why was everyone so focused on the two of you getting married? You only started dating a few months ago!
Tilting her head to the side with a little smirk, Sarah replied, “That’s not a ‘no’.”
She was getting to be as bad as your dad and Tommy.
“You could be my stepmom! I always wanted one since I didn’t get to have a regular mom.”
Despite Sarah’s cheerfulness at the idea, your heart ached for all the real mom-related experiences she didn’t get to have. You knew exactly how that felt. If marrying Joel wasn’t already something you hoped for in the future, it would be after hearing Sarah expressing her desire for a stepmom, for you as a stepmom.
Sarah kept talking, while you lost yourself in thought.
Would you be a good stepmom?
God, you hoped so.
You never had one, JB chose to never get too serious with anyone after your mom, but you heard enough horror stories from your friends about their own stepmoms through the years. It sounded like a thankless job. But all the people you knew with stepparents had both birth parents still in their lives, so maybe your experience would be different.
The late bell chimed, drawing you out of your ever-spiraling thoughts.
“Come on, nugget. Let’s get you home,” you said, pushing thoughts of marriage and step parenthood to the farthest recesses of your mind.
“If you’re not gonna marry my dad, could you at least move in with us? It would be so great if you lived with us!”
Jesus fucking Christ in a handbasket. This kid sure knew how to keep you on your toes.
Tumblr media
Leaning over the bar top with hunched shoulders and an aching back, Joel picked at the label on the beer bottle. He didn’t often visit the bar after work, not since Sarah came into his life, but he finally had some extra money and felt like treating himself. You stopped letting him pay you months ago, when the two of you became more to each other than just babysitter and boss, and he stashed that money away each week, saving it for what he didn’t know.
At his side, Tommy carried on about some chick he met a few weeks ago. A pretty attorney who was way out of his league and already turned him down twice. Like a dog with a bone, Tommy showed no signs of giving up yet.
“You better be careful, brother. She may get a restraining order against you if you don’t take it easy,” Joel said, voice a rich rumble.
Tommy waved him off with a chortle. “Oh please. She’s loving it. Chicks like that like being pursued.”
“If you say so.” Joel didn’t know this woman or what she liked, but he knew for a fact that you would hate it if a guy relentlessly pursued you after turning him down, not once, but twice. He smiled at the thought of you kicking a guy like that in the fucking balls to prove that you were very much not interested.
He full on laughed at the thought of you kicking his little brother in the balls, causing Tommy to glance sideways at him.
“What’s so funny, huh?”
“Nothin’,” Joel grumbled, clearing his throat. Thoughts of you continued to invade his mind, just like they always did. You were always on his mind, and he loved it. If only you were always in his bed… Joel cleared his throat. “Hey, uh. How do you know if it’s too early to ask a girl to move in?”
Tommy groaned. “Why you always askin’ me this shit? How am I supposed to know? I have less actual relationship experience than you do.”
“Who else am I supposed to ask, huh? JB? Don’t imagine that’d go over too well,” Joel replied with a defeated shrug, but Tommy conceded the point.
“You need more friends, man.” Clearing his throat, Tommy gave it a moment’s thought. “Well, the way I see it, you love her, and she loves you, everyone knows it, and JB and Sarah are both happy for the two of you. Moving in together seems like the logical next step, right?”
Joel nodded, still uncertain.
“Only the two of you can know if the pace is right. Seems to me like you both waited long enough for the right one to come along. You’ve both been through some shit, why waste any more time?”
Damn, when did his little brother become so insightful?
“Alright, I get your point. Do you think she’ll say yes if I ask?” As secure as he was in your love for each other, Joel still floundered a bit at each new step in the relationship department.
“I dunno, brother. You’re just gonna have to grow a pair and find out.”
“Fuckin’ grow a pair,” Joel grumbled, punching Tommy in the arm, hard.
The pair bickered through another round, like brothers do, before calling it an evening. Eager to see you and Sarah, Joel didn’t want to waste away the evening in the bar with Tommy. As they walked out to their trucks, Tommy stopped Joel with a hand on his shoulder.
“Listen, brother. In all seriousness, I think she’ll say yes, so just ask, ok?”
Joel nodded his thanks and confirmed plans for watching the game at his place on Sunday, before climbing into his truck. The trip home didn’t take long, and for that Joel was grateful. His back ached after a busy week of hard labor followed by an hour sitting hunched over the bar. He’d kill for a massage.
The house was quiet when he walked in, no sign of you or Sarah on the ground floor. Kicking off his work boots and dropping the truck keys onto the hook near the door, Joel slowly climbed the stairs to the second floor.
Light flooded into the hall from Sarah’s bedroom, the sound of giggles and low voices echoing in the air. He moved slowly, quietly, until he could just peek around the door jamb. You sat on Sarah’s bed, the little girl perched in front of you, as you braided her wiry curls.
The sight melted Joel’s insides into a gooey puddle.
This. This was exactly what he wanted to come home to everyday.
He had to ask you to move in.
Just as he straightened up with a silent groan, ready to enter the room, Sarah’s sweet little voice left him frozen in place.
“I think you’d make the best stepmom.”
“This again,” you griped playfully. “You do, huh? Why?”
Was this something Sarah brought up before? Joel held his breath, waiting for Sarah’s response.
“Because you love my dad and you love me, you’re always kind even when things go wrong, you’re smart, and you like spending time with me. But most of all, because you do the things a mom does even though you’re not my mom and you don’t have to.”
He caught your gasp even though you tried to hide it from Sarah. You were as affected by Sarah’s heartfelt, innocent confession as he was. His adorable, sweet little girl knew you’d make a great stepmom and he agreed with all her reasons. If possible, he fell further in love with you in that moment after seeing you through his daughter’s eyes.
“Well, you’re right, nugget. I do love you and your dad, and I hope that one day, when the time is right, I can be your stepmom. Until then, we’ll just keep doing what we’re doing, ok? I’ll still love you to pieces even without the official title.”
You choked out the words, on the verge of tears, and Joel felt his own eyes begin to water. Unable to bear it any longer, he swept through the doorway and pulled you both against his chest in a big bear hug. His precious girls. He loved you both more than words could express.
“Daddy! You’re squeezing too tight! Imma burst!” Sarah shrieked with laughter as he tossed her onto the bed and began tickling her with one hand, his other still holding your close.
“Did you…” Your eyes searched his, a hint of worry hiding in their depths, and Joel grinned, pressing a tender kiss to your forehead.
“I heard it all,” Joel confirmed, confidence bolstered knowing you wanted to marry him at some point. Conveying every feeling held in his heart through his eyes, he added, “Move in with us. Please.”
Your eyes flicked back and forth between his, searching for confirmation. “Are you sure?”
“I’ve never been surer of anything in my life, darlin’.”
The three of you celebrated with ice cream after you agreed to move in with them before putting Sarah to bed. By then, Joel’s back ached something fierce and you offered to use the message gun he forgot he had.
“Lay face down on the bed, my love,” you directed, watching with adoration as he tugged the shirt over his head, jeans hanging low on his hips. The muscles rippled in his arms and back as he settled on the soft mattress. “Ready?”
“Yes,” Joel murmured, huffing when you climbed over him to straddle his ass.
Turning on the massage gun, you put it on the middle setting and pressed the ball against the flesh of his traps. Even through the device, you could feel how tight those muscles were. It must be where he held his tension. Over the next half hour, you worked the massager over his back, soaking in the grunts that bordered on pain and relief. Somewhere along the way, the groans turned pleasurable, and Joel rolled onto his back, leaving you to straddle his thighs as the bulge in his jeans grew.
Joel’s hands moved to undo the button on his jeans, but you batted his hand away with a mischievous grin. With wide, wondrous eyes, he watched you adjust the setting on the massager and run it along the seam of his pants.
“Oh fuck,” he hissed, cock twitching with interest at the vibration. “Don’t stop.”
Hands gripping your hips, he bucked up into the delightful buzz of the massager, a steady stream of moans falling from his lips as the vibrations spread from his balls upwards to the head of his cock. Fuck, if it felt that good through his jeans, how good would it feel directly on his cock?
“Do you want me to increase the speed setting?” you purred, pressing the massager harder against him.
“Oh God, fuck. Yes… ungh. Please.” The words fell from his lips in a series of whimpers as you adjusted the settings. Within moments, he moaned a bit too loudly and came in his pants. You didn’t let up on the pressure though, the vibration drawing out his orgasm until every last drop of his load was blown and his body nearly convulsed with the overstimulation.
Chest heaving, he watched you switch off the massager and run your fingers along the large wet spot on his jeans, his cock twitching tiredly in response.
“That was fucking sexy,” you murmured, enthralled with the mess you just made of him.
“Yeah? Lemme see that thing. Think it’s my turn now, pretty girl.”

This isn't Your Fault
Pairing: Tara Carpenter x Reader
Summary: “Tara,” you said, the calmness of your voice surprising you. “This isn’t you fault.”
Warnings: Violence
Word Count: 3.3k+
Main Masterlist | Series Masterlist
Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3 | Part 4 | Part 5 | Part 6
Tumblr media
“Hey, babe,” you answered the phone cheerfully. “How was the party?” Tara had begged you to go to the frat party, but you declined. As much as you loved the girl, there was no way in hell she was going to get you to go to a frat party. You already hated parties and socializing in general. There was nothing in the world that could convince you to go to something that involved both, especially when all the people involved would be drinking.
“Ugh,” Tara groaned. “It was going great until Sam showed up and tased someone in the balls.”
“I’m sorry?” you weren’t sure you heard her right, it sounded like she said her sister tased someone in the balls. You opened a cabinet, grabbing a glass.
“There was some drunk frat douche who may have been trying to get me to come upstairs with him.”
“Oh my god, are you okay?”
“I’m fine.” You knew Tara was smiling into her phone just from the way her voice softened, it brought a smile to your face as well.
Tara loved when someone cared about her. She loved when someone cared enough to be there for her and protect her. You knew that, just from the way her eyes always lit up when you’d check in or instantly come over if she was having a bad day. You saw it in the way despite wanting freedom from her sister, she still respected her and wanted her approval. You and Tara had been dating for over six months now and she still refused to introduce you to her sister. You had met her friends but none of them knew you guys were dating. You understood, truly, after what they had all been through you got that they were hesitant to trust strangers. Even though she said she was afraid of how Sam would react, and that she’d scare you off you knew the real reason Tara didn’t want to introduce you yet was because she was afraid Sam wouldn’t approve of you.
You believed your relationship with Tara was stronger than that, that Tara wouldn’t break up with you just because her sister or friends didn’t like you. You knew it would make things difficult though. If they didn’t like you, or really if Sam didn’t like you, you knew Tara would be hurt. She’d be torn between being with you and knowing her sister didn’t approve. Which is why until Tara was ready, you were more than happy to wait to officially meet Sam.
“Chad stopped the guy, getting into a fight in the process,” Tara continued.
You smiled at that; you knew there was always a reason you liked Chad. “Good,” you said instead.
“Then Sam showed up and the tasing happened,” she let out a long sigh. “I just want a normal life.”
“I know,” you whispered sympathetically. “You know she just wants to keep you safe though, right?”
Tara groaned, causing you to laugh. “I know,” she mumbled. “This is just the exact reason why I won’t introduce you.” You could imagine Tara throwing up her hands as she said that. “She wants me to open up and share with her but then when I try to have a life outside of the friend group, she tases someone!”
“Whenever you decide to introduce me, I’m sure it will go fine.” You reached above the island, grabbing one of the pans hanging and set it on the stove. “I’m sure I won’t get tased.” You walked around the island, moving to grab the food you intended to have for dinner before pausing in your tracks. “Right?” you asked hesitantly with an awkward chuckle before you got to moving again.
“Maybe,” Tara mumbled. Your steps paused again, you wanted to meet the most important person in Tara’s life, but Tara was making it incredibly difficult for you to not be terrified of her sister. “Just stand behind me when that eventual meeting happens.”
You let out a nervous chuckle. You were sure it would go fine. You were sure that Sam would probably glare at you and maybe judge you right away, assuming you were out to get them or something. You hoped though that eventually Sam would warm up to you. You were sure Sam could be scary, you’d seen her staring down anyone who so much glanced at her wrong when she followed Tara somewhere, she was certainly one intimidating woman. You knew she was really just incredibly protective over her little sister, a bit overprotective if you asked Tara.
Her friends weren’t much different, at least Mindy and Chad, the ones who survived Woodsboro with them. You had met them in casual settings, at parties, in the library, and even shared a class with Mindy. They were all a tight knit group, they talked with others but letting someone in their friend group was a process apparently. When you eventually officially met them, you were sure you’d be interrogated by Mindy and Chad would probably be like Sam, glaring at you from across the room. Out of the three of them Tara said Mindy was the calmer more reasonable one, but she could get a little intense when she was going over a suspect list or accusing people of murders.
Mindy was the one you were the least worried about. You actually had a couple classes with Anika and worked together on a few papers. You still hadn’t met Mindy enough to walk up and talk to her, but she would give you a nod if she saw you and she was always nice when she came to pick Anika up from a study session. She would also usually squint at you, watching you for anything suspicious but she did that with most people, so you didn’t take it personally.
“My fearless protector,” you said softly.
“Shut up,” Tara said.
You chuckled, shaking your head. Tara was short and everyone underestimated her. The truth was she had just as much fight in her as her sister. Whenever you were out if someone made a rude comment or God forbid hit on you, Tara would shoot them a furious glare that would make anyone on the receiving end wish they were dead. There was even one time when you were out and someone recognized Tara, then the moron decided to make a comment about Sam, and you were lucky to pull Tara out of there before the police could be called. She about launched herself over the table, arms already out and ready to strangle the man.
Your laughter quickly ended when you heard a creak. You froze, your breath catching in your throat. You didn’t take the phone away from your ear as you glanced down the hall. You didn’t see anyone, and the front door was still closed. You were the only one home, your parents being out of town for the week. You swore you heard the floor creak though. Every fiber of your body told you to not go down the hall, the little alarm going off in your head screaming that something wasn’t right.
“You, okay?” Tara asked. You could hear the concern in her voice.
“Yeah,” you answered distractedly. You cleared your throat saying, “Yeah,” again more convincingly. “So, what’s planned for the rest of the night?” you decided to change the subject.
“Sleep,” Tara mumbled. “I’m already starting to feel this hangover. Can I come over tomorrow?”
“Is that a good idea?” You swung around the island, resting your hand on the refrigerator door. “I doubt Sam will want you out of her sight after tonight.”
“Fuck what she wants. I miss you,” she whined.
You glanced up from the floor, catching the reflection of a white mask in the window as you opened the fridge door. You swallowed, preparing yourself for what was about to happen.
“Tara,” you said, the calmness of your voice surprising you. “This isn’t you fault.”
“What?” she asked, confused.
You slammed the refrigerator door closed, spinning around to face your attacker just as he swung his knife, the metal blade clashing against the steel fridge door. You ran towards the stove, letting your phone clatter onto the island as you empty your hands to grab the pan you had intended to use to cook dinner.
You brought the pan up just as Ghostface brought his knife down towards you. The sound of metal against metal filling the air. You moved the pan, blocking every slash and every stab. At one point when he went to stab you instead of blocking you brought the pan up, swinging it down hard on his hand that held the knife. He groaned, dropping the knife in the process. You brought the pan back up, whacking him across the face. He stumbled to the side, catching himself on the counter. You brought the pan down on his head again. While he was down on his knees you turned and ran, reaching over the island to grab your phone again.
You ran down the hall, sliding into the front door, after taking the turn a little too tight. You had your hand on the doorknob when you saw Ghostface already on his feet again, making his way to you. You changed course, running up the stairs to your room instead. You heard the knife impale the front door, cracking the wood as it was yanked out.
You reached your room, slamming the door behind you, knowing it would only buy you a few extra seconds. You jumped on your bed, rolling over the other side as gracefully as you could. You grabbed the baseball bat you always had resting against the wall by your bedside, getting in a swinging position as you stared down the door, waiting for Ghostface to burst through.
You held the phone in your hand, the same one that was gripping the bat. You vaguely heard Tara’s voice coming through the speaker, you knew she must be going out of her mind not knowing what was happening. You wanted to answer her, tell her Ghostface was here and to get out of town as fast as she could. You couldn’t release your grip on the bat though, your eyes were glued to your bedroom door.
The bedroom door shuddered as if someone was pounding on it. With each shake you stepped back, bumping into the wall behind you. You tightened your grip on the bat, your knuckles turning white. When suddenly the shuddering stopped. You held your breath as the doorknob slowly turned, the door squeaking open. Standing in the doorway was Ghostface, knife shining at his side. He tilted his head at you as he stepped into your room, crossing over the invisible threshold.
You and Ghostface watched each other, waiting for the other to make their move. It was so quiet you could swear you heard your own heart beating. In the blink of an eye Ghostface surged forward, launching himself over the bed, he didn’t make it over your bed in one jump though. His feet got caught up in the blankets causing him to stumble down.
You took the opportunity to run around the side of the bed, narrowly missing a swipe of Ghostface’s knife as he swung out at you. You heard a light thud then realized you had a better grip on your bat, you had dropped your phone. You slid to a stop just as you hit the stairs, gripping the railing so you didn’t go flying down them. You quickly recovered, rushing down the steps as quick as possible. Part of you wanted to go back for your phone but you knew doing so would only end in your death.
You got to the front door, turning the knob to unlock it then flung the door open. Ghostface stomped down the steps, jumping when he was halfway, slamming his body into the open door, effectively closing it again. You stumbled back, barely getting out of the way of the door about to crush your arm.
Ghostface pushed himself off the door with a grunt, jumping right at you. He knocked you to the ground, the force of his tackle causing you to let go of your bat.
You looked at your bat, rolling just out of reach. You looked back up, seeing Ghostface hovering over you. He gripped his knife in his right hand, swiftly bringing it down towards your chest.
You caught his wrist just as the knife touched your shirt, pushing back against him so it was now hovering a few inches from your chest. He brought his other hand over, putting more weight on the hand with the knife. It inched closer and closer to your chest. You stared up at the white mask, into the hollow black eyes. You knew there was a person behind the mask, but you couldn’t make out any features.
You kicked your legs, trying to get any leverage on him. You brought your knee up, knowing for sure he was a he by the way he groaned, loosening his grip on the knife. You knocked the knife out of his hand, rolling out from under him in the processes.
He moved slowly, still clearly in pain from your hit. He reached over, stretching out his hand towards his knife. You were closer, reaching up and smacking it across the floor.
You were on your knees about to pull yourself up the rest of the way when you looked up seeing Ghostface standing above you, he had recovered before you. He sent three swift kicks to your stomach, knocking the breath out of you. You rolled over onto your back, looking up at him as you gasped for breath.
You rolled over again, trying to bring yourself back to your feet, there was no way you were going down without a fight. Your hands were spread out, face down on the floor to help push you up. Ghostface walked closer to you, the only thing you saw were his boots stopping before you.
Ghostface lifted his leg high, bringing his heavy combat boot down onto your hand. He gave his boot a final twist, allowing you to hear the crunch of your bones before he took his foot away. You rolled back onto your back, clutching your hand as you screamed in pain. Tears were already streaming down your face as you tried to regain control of your breathing.
Ghostface walked around you, moving towards his knife. You pressed your injured hand to your chest, reaching out towards your bat with the other hand. Ghostface forgot about his knife, kneeling down in front of you, tilting his head as he watched you struggle trying to reach the bat. He picked the bat up just as your fingertips grazed the handle.
He stood above you, tilting his head as he shook the bat back and forth in a taunting manor before raising it above his head.
“No!” you screamed right before Ghostface brought the bat down onto your ribs.
He brought the bat down again.
And again.
And again.
And again.
The force of his swings never letting up. You struggled to catch your breath. Gasping for air as you took short shallow breaths, you couldn’t take a deep breath.
There was what sounded like tires screeching outside. Through bleary vision you could see Ghostface look up and out the window before dropping your bat with a clang and bolting towards the backdoor.
“Y/N!” someone shouted. You blinked your eyes slowly, your eyelids becoming heavy.
The next thing you were aware of was a warm pressure on your shoulder. You turned your head to see a hand resting on your shoulder. Your eyes trailed from the hand, up an arm, and to a face, your girlfriends face, Tara’s face. You saw blurry figures beside her that you couldn’t make out. You could only stare into Tara’s worried eyes. She seemed to be sobbing, her mouth was moving but you couldn’t hear the words coming out before your eyes slowly shut, everything going black.
When you opened your eyes again you were in a dark room, panic instantly shot through you. You tried to sit up, instantly hissing in pain. You sucked in a breath but once again, pained shot through you. You dropped your head back down, taking small breaths. It didn’t feel like you were on the hard wood floor anymore, whatever was behind your head felt soft and fluffy. Your eyes darted all around the room, not recognizing your surroundings, the walls were bare and basic, you didn’t know where you were.
“Hey, hey, hey,” Tara whispered softly, her tear-stained face appearing above you. “You’re okay,” she gripped your hand tightly with her own, brushing your hair out of your face with her other hand. “You’re in the hospital.”
“Wh-what are you doing here?” you rasped out, your dry mouth the least of your worries because each word caused pain to shoot through you.
“I needed to make sure you were okay.” You caught movement out of the side of your eye, seeing someone else had been in the room and was slipping out to give you and Tara privacy. You didn’t get a good visual and you’d only ever seen pictures Tara showed you, but it almost looked like Sam.
“You-you need to get out of town.” You gritted your teeth, trying to swallow the pain. “You need to get somewhere safe.”
“No, no, I’m not leaving you,” she shook her head as if she couldn’t believe you said that. “I’m not leaving you,” she repeated, leaving you no more room to argue.
Your eyes drifted to your hand not intertwined with Tara’s, it was wrapped in a cast. The cast covered your entire hand, going up all your fingers, leaving only your pointer one free, then it stretched down just past your wrist so you couldn’t bend it. The only thought that went through your mind oddly was that you were just glad it hadn’t been your dominant hand.
You looked back up at Tara, noticing she was staring at your injured hand as well. “How are you feeling?” she asked, not able to peel her eyes away from the cast.
“If I sit completely still and don’t breathe then the pain is only agonizing,” you answered. “Instead of excruciating.”
“I’m sorry,” Tara whispered, tears already beginning to fill her eyes.
“This wasn’t your fault,” you tried to lean up, instantly wincing in pain as you slowly lowered yourself back down again. “Please don’t cry.” You untangled your hand from hers, reaching up to brush the few stray tears that had begun to fall. “This wasn’t your fault.”
“If it wasn’t for me, you never would have been targeted,” her voice cracked.
You shook your head. “No, no, it’s not your fault a psycho wants to hurt you. This isn’t on you. I love you.” You tilted her chin until she was looking you in the eye. “I love you,” you whispered again.
“I love you too,” she leaned forward, resting her forehead against yours, a few of her tears dripping down onto you.
“This was a hell of a way to meet your sister,” you said, trying to break the tension.
Tara leaned back into her chair, wrapping her hand in yours again. “And you still haven’t even officially met yet,” she chuckled.
“Damn,” you sighed. “I was hoping unconscious me had already done all the work.”
“At least she knows you aren’t potentially a Ghostface,” Tara joked.
You laughed, instantly wincing in pain. “Don’t joke.”
“I’m sorry,” she smiled down at you. “She does want to officially meet you though.”
“Can’t wait,” you whispered. You closed your eyes as Tara stroked her fingers through your hair, allowing you to peacefully to drift off to sleep.

world cup surprises | s.c.
Tumblr media
steph catley x mccabe!reader | 3.8k | you propose to steph after the first match at the world cup
ˏˋ°•*⁀ this is part of the enchanted to meet you universe. it's fairly new but this is one of my favourite fics i've written and i really enjoyed writing it so i hope you all love it <3
You sat on the edge of the bed in your hotel room trying to calm your breathing. Your nerves were at an all time high and if anyone saw you they would think you were nervous for the match. Ireland’s first match at their first ever women's world cup. Being selected to be a part of the world cup squad was your dream come true and to experience it alongside your sister was even better.
Sure you were excited and nervous for the match that you were playing later today. The small box that you were currently fidgeting with was the main cause of your nerves. The moment you knew that Australia and Ireland were playing each other for the opening match of the world cup, you knew this was the right time.
You met Steph a few years ago through Katie. It was at a night out with the Arsenal girls, your sister invited you since you were going to be a new signing during the winter transfers. You and Steph instantly clicked. There were no awkward phases of friendship, the two of you genuinely looked like you had been close friends for years. That night out, you and Steph ended up separating from the others lost in your own conversation for hours.
From that night countless texts were sent back and forth until you moved to London, joining Arsenal and taking Steph out on a proper date. You fell hard and fast for Steph and luckily for you Steph had fallen for you just as fast and hard. To everyone else, you were a carbon copy of your older sister, but Steph got to see a different side to you. A side that you rarely showed to anyone. Steph had wormed her way into your heart and you would do anything for her and anything to protect her.
When you first shared your relationship with Steph online, there were a lot of people who didn’t think you were the right kind of person for her. Neither of you let in impact your relationship, Steph really knew you and in a way that no one online ever would know you. You were content with yourself and you knew that you would give her everything she deserves and so much more.
You’d had the ring for a while now, trying to find the perfect time to propose to her. But your schedules had both been hectic this last year and you never felt like any time was the right time. You wanted the proposal to be just as perfect as you thought Steph was.
‘I think I’m going to propose,’ You blurted out while you were watching a movie with Katie. Your words instantly got her attention, looking at you with her eyebrows raised slightly. It wasn’t a surprise that something like this would be coming for you and Steph, you were perfect together, ‘The first match, after that,’
Your sister could tell you were nervous. The two of you were quite close in age and having grown up so close and playing football together, she could tell these little things about you. Katie gave you a smile and a reassuring hand on your shoulder, ‘I’m happy for you. For you both. I’ve never seen a more perfect couple,’ You smiled at her words. Katie was the one person you were afraid to tell when you and Steph made things official. Even though there wasn’t much between you and Katie, to her you were still her baby sister and nobody had ever been good enough for you. Not until Steph, ‘Do you have any plans?’
‘Yeah,’ You nodded your head slightly. You had a few ideas but the one you really wanted to pull off, you were going to need the help of your teammates, ‘I’m going to need your help,’
‘It’s gonna be okay, as long as you don’t lose the ring,’ Katie’s hand on your shoulder brought you back to reality.
‘It’s gonna happen now that you’ve said it,’ You groaned, gently pushing her away. You’ve been overly protective over the ring. Holding it feels like it’s the only thing that is currently holding you together. Feeling so much, you felt like you might burst if you lost sight of the ring for a moment.
‘Relax, it’ll be perfect and Steph would be mad to say no,’ Katie sat down next to you, wrapping her arm around you, placing her other hand above yours to stop your fidgeting. Your sister always knew what you needed, whether you knew it or not, sometimes you think Katie knows you better than you know yourself.
‘Ooh, big proposal day,’ Grace poked her head into the room you were currently sharing with your sister, quickly moving towards you, ruffling your hair. You tried to move away but Katie held you tighter making you endure what you’d call torture from your friend, ‘Nervous?’
‘Grace,’ You whined, throwing your head back avoiding the question. The more you talked about it, the more you thought about it and the more nervous you got. Part of you wished that you had opted for a more quiet proposal instead of one that will be in front of thousands of people, but you knew this is the only way that felt right to propose. None of your other plans had stood out to you as much as this one had. You had a feeling that this way was the one, the same feelings you had about Steph the moment you got to know her.
‘Don’t worry, everything and everyone is ready and prepared. Just got to focus on the match first. C’mon,’ Grace pulled you up from your bed, you shoved the box with the ring in it into your pocket and followed your friend out of the hotel, meeting up with the rest of your national teammates.
As the match had gotten closer, you and Steph had talked less and less, both being busy with training and focusing on the world cup. You both had a silent agreement that you wanted to do the best while representing your countries so neither of you were upset with the lack of contact.
It made the moment you saw Steph while lining up in the tunnel all the more worth it. You were excited, your country's first world cup match that you get to be a part of, being a part of making history regardless of the outcomes. You’d gotten the chance to travel all the way to Australia for a world cup, something you thought you could only dream of, and your girlfriend was standing right there wearing the captain's armband and looking absolutely perfect.
Sure she was the captain of the opposition, but that would never stop you from admiring Steph, 7 was slowly becoming your favourite number. Steph turned around slowly, looking through Ireland’s lineup trying to see if you were there. Once her eyes met yours, her eyes softened and she instantly smiled, causing you to smile back at her. You silently wished her good luck which she returned.
‘Oi, stop eyeing your girl, she’s the opposition today,’ Macca nudged Steph lightly, a slight blush spread across her cheeks realising she’d been caught staring at you. Katie, keeping her eyes forward and seemingly focused on the match ahead, smirked slightly overhearing the interaction that happened next to her. Katie turned around to look at you down the line, discreetly holding her thumb up at you while smiling.
You’d had a few texts between you, Katie and Caitlin the last few days whenever the three of you could talk. You knew everything was all ready, you’d gone over everything a million times. Caitlin had reassured you countless times, along with your sister and teammates.
Your Arsenal teammates also knew, you regretted telling Kyra knowing she was the most likely to let it slip. But everything was going smoothly. You had to get through this match and then after the world cup you’ll hopefully be planning a wedding with the love of your life.
On the pitch you and Steph were very different compared to how you both act off the pitch. Mainly when you were on different teams, when you’re on the same team you didn’t have to act all that different. Though on different teams you had an understanding that you’d put your respective teams first and leave anything on the pitch, only if something really bad happened or either of you were insanely proud of the other, which happened a lot, would you bring it back off the pitch into your relationship.
It’s what you both did during the match. The handshake before the match, you both smiled at each other whispering good luck to the other before you focused on your own teams and the match ahead of you. It wasn’t the first time you’d played against each other and it probably wouldn’t be the last.
Though since your relationship sometimes you’d have a hard time forgetting that you weren’t on the same team, that you weren’t just here to support Steph and that you couldn’t cheer or hug her if she scored a goal or did something amazing. You knew you were going to get caught during this match when you had to check yourself knowing how big you smiled when Steph scored her penalty goal. Almost fully celebrating but luckily you stopped yourself before you made a fool of yourself in front of everyone.
You’d only be on the end of relentless teasing from your teammates, none of them would take it seriously knowing how in love you were with Steph. Though some of the fans might not have been so happy. After the match you could tell her how proud you were, so you focused on your team helping bring the energy back into your friends to get them through the rest of the match.
Unfortunately for you, Ireland had lost, you were proud of your team, of your country. The girls had played hard right up until the last minute, unfortunately, it just didn’t go your way tonight. You gave your teammates pats on the back, giving Katie a big hug, ‘Head up, we made it this far. It’s an amazing achievement to be here right now,’ As much as Katie was always there for you, you would always do the same for her. She might’ve been your big sister but you could take care of her as well, ‘on to the next one, have a feeling you’ll score our first world cup goal,’ You didn’t realise that would come true, you were just trying to cheer her up.
‘Go to Steph, we’ll start getting everything ready,’ Katie pushed you towards where Steph was with her teammates. You smiled, slowly walking her way. You liked seeing Steph happy, so even though it killed you to lose, seeing her smile made it all worth it.
‘Baby,’ Steph started when she saw you, but you wrapped your arms around her, picking Steph up and spinning her around before she could mutter how sorry she was that you lost. Right now you just wanted to celebrate your girlfriend, Steph who had scored Australia’s goal, you couldn’t be more proud of her.
‘Well done my love. I’m so so proud of you, always will be. You played so well, I almost cheered for you when you scored,’ Steph laughed at your confession. You were still holding Steph up when she cupped your cheeks, leaning in to kiss you. It was the first time you’d kissed her in a while and kissing Steph always made your head spin.
You smiled against her lips, placing her down but never breaking the kiss. Not until Steph pulled away and rested her head on your forehead, ‘Thank you baby. I love you so much,’ You’d never hidden your relationship, though you both were private, slowly opening up on your socials the more your relationship progressed, but you’d never shown this amount of affection on the pitch. Even matches with Arsenal all fans would ever get to see is the two of you hugging and sometimes they’d see how clingy the both of you could be with either other, constantly hanging off the other.
‘I love you more,’ You mumbled so only the two of you could hear. You took a step back from each other, but your hands were still on each other, not wanting to fully let the other go just yet.
‘Not a chance,’ Steph smiled, you got lost in her eyes, ‘I’m proud of you too darling. Glad I got to be here seeing your first world cup game. Even if it was against us it feels kind of written in the stars or I wouldn’t have been able to witness this achievement for you,’ You melted into Steph’s touch while she spoke. Your heart fluttered and you couldn’t control the smile or the blush that spread across your cheeks, kind of glad that you could blame the redness from running around for over 90 minutes, ‘I think this belongs to me, just like you,’
You took a deep breath while Steph tugged at your jersey, you knew exactly what she wanted and you’d never say no to her. So within an instant you’d taken off your jersey, handing it towards Steph while she gave you hers. You normally shared clothes but wearing her jersey was a different kind of feeling. Also seeing your last name on Steph lit a different kind of fire inside you. You might need to get Steph to wear your jersey when you’re both eventually back home together.
‘You look good with my last name on you. Need to get you to wear it next time,’ You whispered in Steph’s ear, placing a kiss right below, your teeth grazing lightly. Steph pushed you away, not forgetting all the eyes that were on your interactions, even more so now you swapped jerseys. But you didn’t miss the hitch in her breath or the slight red tinge to her cheeks, making you smirk.
‘One day I’ll get my last name on you,’ Steph was determined to switch the roles, but it didn’t have that same impact on you. Your smirk turned into a soft smile, hoping that one day will be one day soon if the next few moments go to plan.
‘C’mon lover girl, should go meet our fans,’ Caitlin came over and pulled Steph away from you, leading her towards an area where she would be completely distracted. Steph pouted lightly, she didn’t want to leave your side, especially since she hadn’t been able to properly see you in a while. But she knew it was important, and she loved the fans and meeting them all.
Caitlin looked over her shoulder at you, giving you a look, one that you knew meant that everything was going well. You turned around to see your sister frantically rushing around trying to get everyone and everything into place, just like you’d gone through with her. You’re grateful that the fans in the stadium, the ones that were left, kept quiet and didn’t make any kind of reaction to what was happening while Steph was distracted.
‘Here you go,’ Katie handed you the little box when you finally made your way over to her after helping to bring out all the heart balloons and roses out onto the pitch that would be surrounding you. You twirled the box around in your hand, going around and thanking everyone of your national teammates and Steph’s national teammates for everything they’ve done to help you with this.
After a final check that everything was in place and ready, you shoved the ring into the top of your sock and stood next to your sister, having to hold your hands together in front of you to stop them from shaking. All you could think about was smiling and breathing, as long as you could keep doing that then it’ll all be okay.
Caitlin discretely turned to look your way, you sent her a nervous thumbs up, silently letting her know that everything was ready and she could bring Steph over this way, ‘We should probably head back now,’ Steph rushed a few last signatures on jerseys before saying goodbye and turning around to walk back to the tunnel with Caitlin.
However, when Steph turned around she froze in place for a moment, ‘What is this?’ Steph whispered, looking at Caitlin who just smiled at her and nodded her head for Steph to move closer. Steph walked slowly while taking in her surroundings. The entire stadium was quiet but there was a buzzing in the air at what everyone thought was about to happen.
Steph stopped for a moment at the start of the rose petal path that had been made that led all the way to you. Roses and balloons surrounded you along with both your teammates and Steph’s teammates who were stood lining up on either side of the makeshift path. Steph started to walk down the pathway before she was handed a single rose that had a photo of you and Steph and a note attached to the stem. The photo was from the first day you and Steph met, along with the note reading ‘the day i met the love of my life, meeting you was the best thing to ever happen to me’.
The next flower, photo and note came from your teammate Grace. The photo was from the first date you ever asked Steph out on. It was summer and you’d taken her out on a picnic, you managed to capture the moment where the sun was shining just right across Steph’s face. The golden rays along with the smile you’d put on her face, Steph had no idea that this photo even existed. The note, ‘I love the way your nose scrunches when you smile. I plan on keeping that beautiful smile on your face for the rest of our lives’.
The entire way down the path, alternating between Steph’s teammates and yours, Steph was given a rose, note and photo. The photos going in order from the day you first met, going through the years to your most recent photo from the date you’d had right before leaving for your respective camps. Notes varying from the things you love about her to little memories you and Steph had created together over the years.
By the time Steph reached the end she had her arms full of roses, tears of happiness clouded her eyes and she didn’t know what to say or what to think. Steph felt like she was going to burst with the amount of love she was feeling for you at this moment. Her heart was racing, tears in her eyes, butterflies swarming her stomach.
‘I’ll keep these safe for you,’ Steph couldn’t tear her eyes away from you, barely registering when Katie came over to take the flowers from Steph so she could have her hands free before taking a step back and letting you and Steph have this moment.
‘Steph,’ You started, taking her hands in your own while smiling at her softly. You’d planned out what you were going to say but once your eyes met hers you couldn’t think properly, taking a few deep breaths before talking again, ‘From the moment I met you I was captivated. Not just by how beautiful you are, but from how smart, ambitious and hardworking you are. How gorgeous you are was definitely an added bonus,’ You both laughed a little which helped lessen your nerves, ‘I’m incredibly lucky that I got to know someone like you, that you let me get to know you and learn every little thing there is to know about you. Each day I fall more and more in love with you. I didn’t think I could fall for someone in this capacity but you proved me wrong,’
You had to take a moment, you could feel your own eyes start to fill up. Steph squeezed your hand reassuringly. It felt like it was just the two of you at this moment,’ I have loved you every single day since we met and I will continue to love you and treat you exactly how you deserve. Because baby, you deserve the world and so much more,’ You emphasised each word to make sure Steph could understand and feel how much love you have for her and how much she deserved everything you gave her, ‘I don’t let many people see me this soft, but for you it’s all worth it,’ You let go of Steph’s hands, reaching to grab the box before kneeling down onto one knee in front of her, ‘Steph, the love of my life, the most beautiful girl I’ve ever met. I would be so lucky and honoured to call you mine forever. My favourite forever, will you marry me?’
You really didn’t have a moment of doubt that Steph would say no, but that didn’t help calm the nerves after you asked the question. Steph was so caught up in the moment she almost forgot to answer, she just wanted to take it all in before the chaos that was sure to erupt after she said yes. But when she saw the light leave your eyes a little the longer Steph made you wait she instantly changed that, ‘Baby, yes. A million times yes,’
‘Yes?’ You asked, making sure you heard her right. Steph reached out for you, pulling you up and pulling your body into hers.
‘I’ve been dreaming of marrying you for so long,’ You were ecstatic, there were no words that could describe this feeling. You could win all the trophies and titles in the world but nothing would ever come close to this moment right here. Shakily, from the excitement, you managed to place the ring on Steph’s finger, giving it a little kiss once it was there.
Steph cupped your cheeks and placed her lips on yours. The kiss was deep and full of passion, your arms wrapped around her waist lifting Steph up and spinning her around. Neither of you could hear how the crowd or your friends all erupted into cheers, it was like a movie playing around you on mute. Nothing was more important to you than Steph and nothing was more important to Steph than you. Everyone was happy for you, nothing but support flooded your inboxes, messages and socials for days afterwards.
‘I love you so much,’ Steph whispered against your lips, hands finding their way around your neck, fingertips tracing over your back where her last name on her jersey you were wearing was sitting.
You smiled against Steph’s lips, leaning further into her touch, ‘I can’t wait to properly celebrate with you,’

Long Distance Relationship Headcanons
Taehyung x Reader

Due to his adaptability and more relaxed personality, I could easily see him making a long distance relationship work. He’s such a natural romantic, he would find little ways to make you feel close despite the distance.
Flowers or little gifts showing up at your door every month for your anniversary.
Sends so many random texts throughout the day. Some are related to things he needs to remember, others are just random questions or thoughts he had. He likes having your input on the smaller, more mundane aspects of his day
Sends you letters. Not long, multi-paragraph texts(although he does that too), I’m talking handwritten notes, signed and sealed in an envelope with probably way too many stamps stuck to the back.
Sometimes they’re carefully worded and neatly written out on the pretty stationary he bought just for you, other times they’re quickly scrawled out on napkins or random scraps of paper bc he randomly had a thought and wanted to write it down before he forgot. He knows he could rewrite them so they look nicer and make more sense, but he likes the sincerity of the messy originals.
Video call dates where you have dinner, watch tv, or sit and listen to music together. Sometimes neither of you speak for ages, but you’re okay with just sharing the quiet with each other.
Another like Yoongi who makes serious jokes about him or you moving to be closer to the other.
“You know, I don’t have to stay in Seoul for work.” “You’re an Idol, Tae!” “So?”
Surprise visits where he just shows up on sunday morning with coffee and pastries as if it was no big deal and that he didn’t spend like 13 hours on a plane to get there.
Sending hoodies back and forth in care packages so you always have one that smells like each others cologne/perfume.
Late night phone calls when one of you can’t sleep, talking about nothing in particular until you hear his muffled snores through the phone.
There are low days when he really misses you and worries if the two of you are making the right decision, afraid that it’ll eventually be too much, the distance too far. But then you call or text him, and he feels his heart unclench almost instantly.
When you tell him that the distance is finally about to shrink to just a short car drive, he tackles you in the tightest bear hug you’ve ever received, burying his face in your neck so you don’t see his tears of relief.
(practically moves in with you with how much time he spends at your new place, but that's a topic for another time, lol)

Who’s Afraid of Tenmartha? - Thoughts on Doctor Who’s Most Hated Ship
All about attraction and desire, fandom morality and ‘ethical’ shipping, if that even exists.
Intro Chapter 1 - She Loves Me, He Loves Me Not Chapter 2 - Bad Girls Club Chapter 3 & Conclusion - All’s Fair in Love and Shipping
Intro
‘Martha deserved so much better than that’
This is the first thing you’ll hear if the word ‘Tenmartha’ is ever typed or spoken out loud. For many, Tenmartha is a problematic ship and one of their least favourites. But Doctor Who’s known for its messiness. The Master with their homicidal tendencies is still a big contender for Thoschei. Meeting River as a literal baby and her brainwashing didn’t stop the DoctorRiver train. There’s people who overlook the platonic bond of Ten and Donna and ship them romantically regardless. People even ship Thirteen and Graham. The ‘normal’ in the idea of a normal ship with the Doctor is doing A LOT of leg work when it comes to this show. But despite all of this, Tenmartha has taken the crown for the worst ship. Or at least, is sharing it with Thasmin. Tenmartha and Thasmin are battling out for the title of ‘worst’ ship but Tenmartha still has the upper (or lower?) hand. Whilst the thassies have built up a small community for themselves with zines and collabs galore, Tenmartha seems to take a beating every week on the tl and even outranking the more ‘problematic’ ships I just listed in most hated ship polls. If Tenmartha’s lucky to rank high you can bet the ‘why would you do that to Martha’ tweets fill the quotes. But on the flipside, we’re also in a Tenmartha renaissance, with Tenmartha archive accounts going viral every other day and viral snippets from series 3 because of how interesting the dynamic was. It seems Tenmartha is a marmite ship; you love it or you hate it. In the eyes of some it’s awful and for others it's Doctor Who’s guilty pleasure.
I don’t ship Tenmartha mainly from the fact I don’t really care about the Doctor’s ships like I did when I was a kid and I care more about companion ships generally (this is strictly a Clani and IanBarbara household only!). But also from the main fact I really don’t like how Ten (and RTD) treated Martha in series 3 at all. But, when you factor in the long-existing Martha Jones hate train, the misogynoir towards Freema Agyeman, the long history of fandom’s hatred of interracial ships, society’s even longer dynamics of romance, sex and how Black people especially Black women participate, or if we’re even allowed to in the first place, plus the concept of morality when applied to Black characters, I can’t say the anti-Tenmartha wave is entirely in good faith. Especially from how I’ve already done a deep dive into how Martha and Freema Agyeman’s treatment was rooted in rampant antiblackness and misogynoir. Is the buzz around Tenmartha fully about her ‘deserving better’ or are there missing pieces of the puzzle? Is Tenmartha even being shipped in good faith? Is there an ‘ethical Tenmartha’? I’m gonna try to unpack my thoughts on Tenmartha, its fans, its antis, everything in between and outside.
It’s time to ask the question, who’s afraid of Tenmartha? And most importantly, why?

Dear MC... My Beloved MC...
Characters: Satan x gn!reader
500 followers masterlist
Main Masterlist
Prompts used: confession + accidental confession + sneaking glances + love letter
.
You’re being obvious.
Too damn much.
MC’s words repeated in their mind for well over an hour, but nothing could stop them from ignoring the book on their lap to look at Satan instead. Thankfully, he was distracted with the latest edition of Every Devildom’s Cat Enthusiast’s Encyclopedia, but there was still a thin line between discreetly checking him out and blatantly staring at him for a whole evening and MC would soon cross it if they didn’t control themselves.
But how could they?
Trying to ignore his presence after all they discovered was humanly impossible and, unfortunately, they were very much human.
But something didn’t make sense, not coming from him. If MC had to use a word to describe Satan, that would be blunt. Sure, he was intelligent, pragmatic and quite adorable when it came to his dear feline friends, but above all, he was direct and unafraid to share his true thoughts. That didn’t mean he was inconsiderate, however. On the contrary, he made them feel seen and heard, ensuring they were well cared for and happy.
The words in his letters said so. His wish was to see them thrive and to be by their side the whole time, sharing memories and holding each other. MC wondered, feeling both guilty and honoured, how much of his expensive stationery he had wasted in writing all those confessions only for them to end up covered in blots of ink and discarded under his bed and his endless pile of books.
Although they had to admit, their name was prettier in his handwriting, even when crossed out.
Satan gasped in the chair before them, suddenly breaking the peace of the library and making MC’s heart beat its way up their throat. They looked at him with blushed cheeks, afraid of the possibility of having been caught, but the demon was purely focused on his encyclopedia. His eyes were wide open in fascination, no doubt marvelling at the discovery of a new cat fact.
“Look, MC!” he shouted in a whisper despite them being the only ones in the room. MC could only watch and hope the chimney explained the warmth in their cheeks as Satan got up and sat on their chair’s armrest. He showed them a picture of a medieval painting. The ugliest rendition of a cat stared, with what looked like existential dread, at MC’s soul. “Do you think there were cats that looked like this back then?”
“I sure hope not” they mustered, not moving their sight out of the picture to avoid his gaze. “It looks like Belphie drew it”
The breath of his chuckle reached them and MC had to force themselves to not get startled and recoil, even when their shoulders ached to shrink and hide their exposed skin. Fortunately, he didn’t seem to realise that.
“Are you liking the book?
“Hm? The book…?”
Oh, yeah.
The book.
The whole reason why they went to his room in the first place.
In reality, MC already had said book and so did the bookshelves in the library, just not the same edition as him, which had the hand-written letters the characters themselves sent to each other in the story, maps and author notes regarding the lore and the investigation behind it.
It was a murder mystery fused with an impossible love. Also, the protagonist had a playful, yet lazy cat.
It was right up Satan’s alley.
And he had wanted to share it with them.
However, he happened to forget about his own love letters, thrown across the floor of his room in frustration and visible to anyone who dared open the door.
“You know I already like it” said MC with a nervous laugh, thankful for already reading the book days ago. “Though, I admit, the cover is beautiful”
“I’m glad you agree! I know the artist who did it, actually”
Now, why wasn’t that surprising?
MC fondly smiled as they listened to him, not so subtly studying his features, illuminated by the fireplace, and the curve of his smile when he talked.
“His wife is his muse and he uses flowers for hidden meanings. These on the cover mean something like undying love and trust; the dog represents loyalty, but I think a cat would’ve been better”
That managed to finally make them laugh, which caught his attention. He stared at them in surprise and poorly hidden tenderness, leaning over them to put his arm behind their back. MC tried to stare back, his written words reverberating in their mind more than any other time during the evening, but the weight of the silence was too much to bear.
“So what’s your…”
“I have to tell you…”
MC stopped talking, cheeks flushed in deep embarrassment as he also stayed quiet and nodded his head to ask them to continue, but it was like they’d forgotten how to talk. What was he going to say? Was he going to keep talking about the book? And what were they going to say?
Yeah, so I have to tell you something. When I went for this romance book to your room I saw all the different ways you love me. Isn’t that cool or what?
They’d rather die.
“You have to tell me…?”
“Nothing!” they interrupted him in a hurry, drowning even deeper in shame when his face contorted in surprise, eyes open wide and eyebrows raised. Lowering their face to avoid looking at him, MC grabbed the book until their knuckles turned white and got up, back facing him the entire time. “I’m going to get a shower; talk to you after dinner”
They were lucky they didn’t trip on the carpet, seeing how fast they fled the room. Falling in front of him after all of that was truly the last thing they needed, but they hoped an entire waterfall of warm water and a homecooked dinner would be enough to help them relax and think straight before coming clean to him.
.
.
Except they didn’t even get to dinner.
Perhaps an hour after the mortifying situation, MC found themselves staring at their blurry silhouette in the foggy mirror while tightening a towel around themselves. They were trying to enjoy the remnants of the warmth, vapour still floating in the air, but their mind was too busy and their heart was about to go crazy.
The ink from their name bleeding on the paper as Satan’s indecision had stopped him from finishing the letters remained in their mind, mixing with every part of their body and making them smile like a child with an earnest crush. A part of them regretted ever entering the room, consequently ruining the surprise of being confessed to, but the relief of knowing he loved them back was bigger and more powerful.
Oh, how they wished they could ignore everything and let him confess when he seemed fit, but witnessing such a vulnerable part of him without his knowing left a sour taste in their mouth; the best MC could do was admit what they’d seen and confess their own feelings while they were at it.
With a sudden sense of courage, they got out of the bathroom, immediately jerked at the coldness of the room, and went straight to their closet to get dressed. No one would care if they had dinner in their nightclothes; worse things had happened in that house. However, as soon as they finished and closed the drawer, a pounding rattled the door.
“MC!”
It was Satan, and he sounded impatient. Not like they could blame him.
What would it be better, open the door for him or allow him to enter? In that case, should they welcome him standing or sitting down? On the bed, the table? Cross-legged…? Would he think they were mocking him if they smiled? Should they stay serious?
“Are you there?” he asked with a tinge of nerves. A couple of seconds later, the doorknob slightly twisted, a sign of someone on the other side hesitating to open.
“Yes!” answered MC, rushing to let him in while mentally scolding themselves for the impulsiveness; but just as they were about to grab the knob, the door came right at them and a flash of yellow and green appeared in their vision, blue eyes in the midst of it all.
There were a few moments of silence between them and MC used them all to study his expression. Embarrassment, apprehension, hope… His cheeks were blushing furiously and he was avoiding eye contact, just like they had done to him at the library before.
“I won’t dance around the subject” he said. Blunt. Satan took a hand to his chest as if trying to subdue the beating of his heart and finally asked the dreaded question. “You saw the letters, didn’t you?”
It was only fair to be direct as well.
“Yes”
“So you know”
That wasn’t a question, but MC still felt the need to confirm it.
“I do”
I do too, they wanted to say. I love you too. But Satan beat them to it, closing the door behind him to give them more privacy.
“This wasn’t how I envisioned it, you know? I was just practising because I wanted it to be perfect, but nothing sounded right. Why I fell for you, how I feel for you, what I want for us… There were too many things I tried to say, but I feared it would be excessive for a letter and I kept correcting it. I realize now that I should’ve been more direct in my approach, so, MC: I love you. And I always will. I can only wish you feel the same”
His sincerity was overwhelming and it covered them in a coat of warmth. His eyes were glossy with hope, but his lips barely formed a smile, not daring to get ahead.
“Tell me all those things” finally said MC as loud as they could manage, barely a whisper. “I promise it won’t be enough”
They just hoped no one would come and ruin the moment.

Chapter 10 - So Different | ‘Movie Night'
word count - 11.4k
Trent laid in his bed, staring at the ceiling, his mind a storm he couldn’t quiet. His phone buzzed on the nightstand, the sound jolting him momentarily out of his haze. Jack’s name lit up the screen, but Trent didn’t move to answer it. He couldn’t. The guilt was suffocating. Every time Jack called, every time Trent saw his name flash across his phone, it felt like a knife twisting deeper into his chest. He couldn’t face him. Couldn’t lie to him. Couldn’t explain to his best friend that the reason he’d been distant wasn’t some random funk but the unbearable heartbreak of losing you. You weren’t just Jack’s sister. He was coming to realize, you were his person, his peace, the one he went to when everything else felt like too much. And now, you were gone, and Trent didn’t know how to function without you. Since that night, he’d gone completely off the grid. He showed up for training, went through the motions, and then went straight home. He couldn’t bring himself to see anyone, to pretend he was okay when he wasn’t. His chest ached constantly, a dull, throbbing pain that he didn’t know how to soothe. He thought about you constantly. The way you’d cried, the way your voice broke. The look in your eyes. It haunted him. He replayed it over and over, trying to figure out where it all went wrong. Was it the secrecy? The guilt? The fear of what Jack and the others would think?
You hadn’t said, ‘Why don’t we just tell them?’ And so, he hadn’t. He’d been too afraid, too consumed by the what-ifs. But now, lying there in the quiet of his room, he wondered if things could have been different if he’d just had the courage to say, I love her. I don’t care what anyone thinks. His phone buzzed again, and he turned his head to look at it. Jack was calling again, and for a fleeting moment, Trent considered answering. But what would he say? How could he explain that he was grieving the loss of you, the girl he was never supposed to fall for but couldn’t help loving? He turned his face into the pillow, the tears coming unbidden. He missed you so much it hurt. He missed your laugh, your smile, the way you made him feel like the best version of himself. He missed the way you fit perfectly in his arms, the way your lips felt against his. He missed you. But he couldn’t have you. He’d made his choice that night, torn between his desire to console you, to pull you into his arms and make you stop crying, and the guilt and fear of Jack finding out. He’d walked away, and now, he was paying the price. Trent closed his eyes, his chest tightening with the weight of it all. He felt like he was losing both of you—you and Jack. He couldn’t talk to his best friend about it, couldn’t tell him the truth, couldn’t even pick up the phone. He was trapped in his own guilt and heartbreak, unable to see a way out. Day in and day out, he lay there, caught in a trance, replaying every moment, every word, every touch. He didn’t know how to move forward without you, didn’t know if he even wanted to. All he knew was that he’d never felt this way before, and he wasn’t sure if he ever would again.
You weren’t fairing all that well yourself. You curled up on your bed, muffling your sobs into the pillow, hoping the sound wouldn’t carry through the walls. But Jack had already noticed. He’d been noticing for days—the way you avoided him, the lack of your usual energy, the way your eyes always looked on the verge of tears. Jack wasn’t one to pry, but this time, he couldn’t stay silent. You heard the knock at your door, a quiet but firm tap, tap, tap.
“Y/N?” Jack’s voice was soft, cautious. “Can I come in?” You froze, wiping your face quickly, though you knew it was pointless.
“Yeah,” you croaked, your voice betraying you. The door creaked open, and Jack stepped inside. His expression shifted instantly when he saw you, eyes red and swollen, clutching your pillow like a lifeline. He didn’t say anything at first, just stood there, taking it in.
“Come here, what’s gotten into you?” he asked finally, his voice gentle as he opened his arms. You hesitated, guilt twisting in your stomach, but the look on his face broke you. Slowly, you got up and walked into his embrace. The moment his arms wrapped around you, the tears came again, harder this time, like a dam breaking.Jack held you tightly, one hand cradling the back of your head, the other rubbing slow circles on your back. “Hey, you’re okay,” he murmured. “Just breathe for me, yeah?” You tried to, but the sobs kept coming. After a long moment, Jack pulled back slightly, his hands resting on your shoulders as he searched your face. “What’s going on, Y/N? Talk to me. Who’s got ya like this? Is fucking Josh again?” The question hit you like a truck. Who. Not what. He already knew this wasn’t about work or anything trivial. He knew it was someone. You shook your head, pulling away from his touch, your arms wrapping around yourself protectively.
“It’s nothing,” you mumbled. “I’m fine. Really.” Jack’s brows furrowed, his concern deepening.
“Y/N, don’t do that. Don’t shut me out. I’m your brother. Just… tell me who it is, and I’ll sort them out.” He cooed with a sympathetic smik. You laughed weakly through the tears, the irony of his words hitting you. If only he knew.
“I can’t,” you whispered, your voice breaking. Jack stepped closer, his hands gentle on your arms.
“Why not? You know I’d do anything for you, right? Just tell me, and we’ll fix it together.” You shook your head more forcefully this time, the guilt washing over you in waves. You couldn’t. You couldn’t tell him. Not when it was Trent. Not when it was his best friend. Not when it would ruin everything. Not when you had betrayed him.
“I just can’t, Jack,” you said once over, your voice cracking as fresh tears streamed down your face. “I’ve already lost so much over this. You’ll be mad and I can’t lose you too.” Jack’s face softened, but he still looked confused, like he was trying to piece together a puzzle without all the pieces.
“Y/N, you’re not gonna lose me,” he said firmly. “You can tell me anything, you know that.” But you couldn’t. You couldn’t risk it. Jack was all you had left, and if he knew the truth, you weren’t sure you’d survive the fallout.
“I’m sorry,” you whispered, stepping back toward the bed. “I just… I need to figure this out on my own.” Jack looked like he wanted to argue, but he didn’t. Instead, he sighed and nodded, his hands falling to his sides.
“Okay,” he said reluctantly. “But if you change your mind, I’m here, alright? Always.” You nodded, biting your lip to keep from breaking down again. When he finally left the room, closing the door behind him, the silence felt deafening. You sank back onto the bed, your heart heavy with the weight of everything unsaid. You made a decision then. You couldn’t keep doing this—to yourself, to Trent, to Jack. The guilt was eating you alive, and the secrecy was tearing everything apart. It was time to end it. For good.
The week of silence was unbearable. Days stretched into nights, with every moment consumed by guilt, longing, and the reality of what you had both built under Jack’s unsuspecting gaze. For so long, you’d tried to ignore the weight of it all, but now the cracks were too wide, the guilt too heavy. You couldn’t breathe. When you finally stood on Trent’s doorstep, your heart was pounding so loud you were sure he could hear it. You hadn’t texted or called; you’d just shown up, your emotions too raw for words. Trent opened the door, his brows furrowing in surprise when he saw you standing there. His hair was still damp from a shower, his face soft and unguarded.
“Y/N?” he said, his voice laced with concern. “What are you—”
“We can’t do it anymore,” you interrupted, your voice trembling, already on the verge of tears. “I can’t… I can’t do this anymore.” The words hit him like a blow to the chest. For a moment, he didn’t move, as if he couldn’t believe what he was hearing.
“Just..” He couldn’t even talk before he instinctively reached for you, pulling you into his arms. You collapsed against him, the weight of your words crashing down as sobs racked your body. His strong arms held you tightly, his hand cradling the back of your head as if he could shield you from the pain you were feeling. “Don’t say that,” he murmured into your hair, his voice breaking. “Please, don’t say that.” But you couldn’t stop.
“I can’t keep lying to Jack,” you whispered against his chest, your tears soaking through his shirt. “I can’t keep lying to myself. This… this isn’t right, T. It’s not right.” Desperation flickered in his eyes as he cupped your face, his thumbs brushing away your tears.
“I know,” he admitted softly, his voice filled with sorrow. “I know it’s not fair to you. Or to him. But…” He trailed off, his words faltering under the weight of his emotions. The silence between you was heavy, the tension palpable. And then, as if drawn together by some unseen force, his lips found yours. The kiss was desperate, full of unspoken words and heartbreak. You clung to him like he was the only thing keeping you grounded, your fingers tangling in his hair as you poured everything you couldn’t say into that moment. Before you knew it, the two of you were in his room, tangled in his sheets, your bodies pressed together as if trying to erase the distance that had grown between you. It wasn’t just physical—it was emotional, a last-ditch effort to hold onto something slipping away. When it was over, the silence returned, heavier than before. You lay in his arms, your cheek pressed against his chest as his fingers traced lazy patterns on your back. He pressed a kiss to your hair, a soft hum escaping him. The tenderness in that simple gesture broke something inside you. You sniffled, tears slipping down your cheeks once more.
“This has to be it,” you whispered, your voice cracking. “Okay?” You whimpered.
“Okay,” he replied, his voice low and full of sadness. He tightened his hold on you, his lips brushing against your temple. “But Y/N… can you just stay though? Just for tonight?”  He meekly asked you, his tone desperate. Your breath hitched as his words hit you.
“Trent…” You cautioned him already struggling to will your body away from his.
“I didn’t know it’d be our last night,” he continued, his voice trembling. “And I just… I just want to remember it right.” You nodded silently, your tears soaking into his skin. You didn’t have the strength to say no, not when he held you like that, not when you could feel his heart breaking beneath your hand.
“This isn’t right,” you whimpered, your voice barely audible. But Trent didn’t respond. He couldn’t. All he could do was hold you tighter, his silence speaking volumes. The two of you stayed like that, wrapped in each other’s arms, the weight of goodbye hanging heavy in the air. You knew this was the end, but for now, in this fleeting moment, you allowed yourselves to pretend that it wasn’t.
The morning was heavy with unspoken words as you pulled your clothes on, trying to keep your composure. The air between you and Trent was thick, weighted with everything that had gone wrong and everything that still felt so heartbreakingly right. As you made your way toward the door, Trent followed, his steps slow and hesitant, like he was trying to draw out the moment.
“Y/N, Stay,” he said quietly, his voice cracking just enough to break your resolve. “We can figure this out. Please.” You paused, your hand resting on the doorknob, your back turned to him. Tears threatened to spill again, but you fought to keep them at bay. You didn’t want to cry anymore. You didn’t want to feel this ache that had embedded itself so deeply into your chest.
“Please don’t make this harder,” you whispered, your voice trembling as you turned to face him. The look on his face nearly destroyed you—his eyes filled with a mix of desperation and heartbreak, his hands hanging helplessly at his sides.
“I’m not trying to make it harder,” he said, taking a step closer. “I just—this, us—it means something to me. You mean something to me. I can’t…” His voice faltered, and he exhaled sharply, trying to steady himself. “I can’t let you go like this.” You shook your head, a small, sad smile tugging at the corners of your lips.
“You’re saying that because we’re behind closed doors, T… but that’s not the problem.” He shut his eyes, his jaw tightening as if the words physically hurt him. You knew he wanted to say something, to fight back, to convince you that it didn’t matter where you were, as long as you were together. But deep down, he knew you were right. As you reached for your bag, something poked you in the side, reminding you of what you’d brought with you. A lump formed in your throat as you pulled it out, the tattered book of poems looking smaller in your hands than it had when you first tucked it away.
“I forgot…” you started, your voice barely audible. “I want you to have this.” You extended the book toward him, and he hesitated for a moment before taking it from you, his fingers brushing against yours. The touch sent a jolt through your body, one final reminder of what you were about to lose. “I’m sorry for what I said the other night,” you said, your voice breaking as fresh tears began to blur your vision. “You are the furthest thing from nothing to me. You are everything, in fact. You are it all, T.” His hands shook slightly as he took the book.
“Please don’t do this,” he muttered, his voice barely above a whisper. When he looked up at you, his eyes were filled with a pain so raw it made your chest tighten. “Don’t go. I’m begging you.” You couldn’t stop the tears now, and they fell freely as you took a step back, creating the distance you knew you needed to survive this.
“I have to,” you choked out. His hand clenched around the book, holding it close to his chest like it was the only piece of you he’d have left.  Trent’s fingers trembled as he turned the fragile pages of the book, the faint scent of aged paper filling the air. It didn’t take long until he started to notice the black ink penned in a handwriting he’d only seen a number of times in birthday cards. His head was almost hurting because he couldn’t place it. It wasn’t yours. His eyes scanned the handwritten notes in the margins, each word was a delicate imprint of your mum’s love and care, left behind like breadcrumbs leading back to her. The book flopped open on it’s own by its worn seam to a page you’d pressed the flower he’d given you the other week. His heart hurt more than his head at that moment. And then he saw it—why you’d marked the page - a line your mum had circled and underlined, her handwriting curling beside it with a note that seemed to reach through time:
'Even though we never said it to each other - We knew'
'Always reminds me of you and TAA—tell him one day, okay?'
His breath caught, his chest tightening as though the air had been stolen from the room. His grip on the book wavered, his fingers brushing against the daisy you had carefully pressed between the pages, a small but profound reminder of the park, of the simple, unguarded moments you shared. The lump in his throat was unbearable as he felt the weight of everything—the love, the grief, the guilt—all crashing down at once.
“I know this didn’t work, but…” You stood there, knowing he’d read it, barely holding it together, your voice breaking as you forced yourself to speak.
“Stop,” Trent cut you off, his voice shaky but insistent, the emotion barely contained. His movements were deliberate as he placed the book down on the counter, as if it were sacred. Then, with no hesitation, he pulled you into his arms, holding you tightly, like letting go would shatter him completely. “We’re not doing this,” he murmured against your hair, his voice breaking. “We’re not nothing. I know we’re not. You know we’re not… She knew we weren’t. Y/N please.” The conviction in his words only made the ache in your chest swell. You buried your face in his chest, tears spilling freely now, soaking into his shirt.
“I’m so scared, Trent,” you whispered, your voice trembling. You felt like in a way you’d disappoint your mum in giving up this but it was terrifying to love him. He was no longer a school boy, he was larger than life. “I’m so scared I’m just the girl of the season to you. That I’ll lose you, Jack, everyone. I can’t do this again. I can’t…” You confessed amidst your tears. He pressed his lips to the top of your head, his hands cupping the back of your neck as he pulled you even closer.
“You’re not,” he whispered fiercely, the words shaking with emotion. “You’re not the girl of the season. You’ve been the girl of every season. My only season. You’ve been every single one.” His words cracked something deep inside you, but they didn’t erase the fear. You pulled back slightly, just enough to meet his eyes, your tears making the world blur around you.
“I don’t know how to do this,” you admitted, your voice breaking on every syllable.  “I don’t know how to keep everyone happy and not lose you at the same time. I feel like I’m losing everything.” His hands came to rest on either side of your face, his thumbs brushing away your tears as his forehead gently touched yours. His voice softened, but it carried an unshakable strength.
“We’ll figure it out,” he said, his words wrapping around you like a lifeline. “We don’t have to have all the answers now. Just stay with me, baby. We can sort this.” Tears streamed down your cheeks as you shook your head, the weight of the situation suffocating you.
“This isn’t right,” you whimpered, your voice breaking under the weight of your emotions. “None of this is right.”
“Stay,” he begged softly, his voice raw and unguarded. “Please don’t leave me like this.” You sobbed into his chest, clinging to him like he was the only thing anchoring you in the storm of your emotions. His grip on you tightened, his own tears threatening to spill as he pressed a desperate kiss to your hair. You nodded through your sobs, too broken to speak, your hands clutching at him like he was your last tether to hope. But even as you let yourself sink into the safety of his arms, the doubts lingered, the weight of everything unsaid pressing down on both of you. The unsaid love was there, undeniable and unrelenting, but so was the pain, and neither of you knew how to make it stop. Trent looked at the book carefully, his fingers trembling as he reached towards it with one hand. a centimeter of the daisy still delicately pressed inside sticking out. His eyes lingered on it for a moment before turning to you, his gaze steady despite the rawness between you both. “Keep this,” he said, his voice soft but resolute as he picked it up. “She left more in there than an annotation about me.” He smiled sympathetically at you. He’d glanced at the pages before his name appeared, and although it was brief he understood your mum purposefully left this book for you. It was a way for her to communicate with you, to support you through situations you might face after she was gone. “You keep all the other stuff. I don’t need any more if I know she was on board because I’m not going anywhere… that’s all I needed to know.” His certainty was like a balm against the ache in your chest, but the weight of everything still loomed heavy in your mind. You shook your head slightly, your voice barely above a whisper.
“But if this doesn’t work… T, I can’t” you started, the fear in your words palpable. Trent stepped closer, his hand reaching out to cradle your face. His thumb brushed against your cheek, catching a stray tear.
“Then I’ll still be here,” he told you firmly, his voice tinged with quiet determination. “I just told you. I'm not leaving.” His words wrapped around your heart, pulling at every fragile piece of you.
“But how can you be so sure?” you whispered, your voice breaking as you searched his eyes for answers. “I didn’t mean for this to be a guilt trip. I just wanted you to know…” You babbled as your tears ran down your cheeks. He leaned in, pressing his forehead to yours, his voice steady and calm.
“It’s not… And… I know… because you’re it for me. Whatever happens, we’ll figure it out. We’ll try, yeah?” You nodded sheepishly, your heart warring with your fears, but his certainty felt like a light in the darkness. “Gonna give it a try, hmm?” he asked softly, his lips ghosting over your forehead in a tender kiss. This time, your nod was more sure, a small smile breaking through the tears.
“Okay,” you murmured. And in that moment, with the weight of the book in his hands and the promise hanging between you, it felt like maybe, just maybe, there was a way forward.
The next morning, the doorbell rang, pulling you out of your thoughts. Jack had already left for work, leaving you to shuffle to the door, still in your pajamas. You opened it to find not one but four massive flower arrangements towering in front of you. You blinked, confused, as the delivery man smiled politely and gestured for you to sign.
“Someone really likes you,” he remarked, handing you a small card after you’d awkwardly squeezed the arrangements inside. The arrangements were stunning—each one so different. One was a soft white and cream, delicate and elegant. Another burned bright with orangey-red hues, vibrant and warm. The third was lush with deep greens, earthy and grounding, and the last shimmered in an unexpected blue, rare and calming. You stood there for a moment, staring at the kaleidoscope of colors, trying to piece it together. Then you opened the card.
'To the girl I’ve let wait too many seasons—will you please let me take you out for a proper date?'
You laughed through your tears, the emotions of the past weeks bubbling over at once. The note continued, listing specific details about when and where he wanted to meet you, but you could barely read through the happy blur in your eyes. It was so him, so thoughtful, and yet so immediate—like he couldn’t stand another second without making his words from the night before a reality. The concept of girl of the season really was about his football season but the fact that flowers went beyond that. It was one for each season of the year; spring, summer, autumn, and winter. All there to signify, you were more than just a football season to him and he wanted you to know that. You held the card to your chest, tears still slipping down your cheeks as giggles broke through. He had acted quickly, proving he meant every word, every promise. Trent was asking, not waiting. Not hiding. This time, he was yours, out loud, in full color. And all you could think was… finally.
When Trent typed your address into his phone to send the delivery, his chest tightened with a familiar pang of guilt. It wasn’t just your address—it was Jack’s too. That nagging feeling of betrayal washed over him as his thumb hovered above the screen, memories from years ago creeping back unbidden. He could still hear Jack’s voice, clear as day, as if it were happening all over again. They were in Jack’s room, sprawled out after school, the usual banter bouncing around the group. A newer guy to their circle, loud and brash, had just moved to town and had made an offhand remark about you after seeing a picture on Jack’s phone.
“Is this your sister, mate? Fuck off! She’s well fit,” the guy had said, smirking. It wasn’t even a serious comment, but Jack’s reaction was immediate and sharp.
“Oi, Off-limits,” Jack had snapped, his tone firm and brooking no argument. He glanced around the room then, making sure everyone understood. “If that wasn’t already clear, no one moves to Y/N.” There was a beat of awkward silence before Noah, always the one to push a joke too far, broke it.
“Come on, mate! What if she likes us? Girls move to me! What if she moves to me, huh?” He teased. Jack didn’t even crack a smile.
“Nah. If she has feelings for ya, too bad.” Trent had sat quietly on the edge of the bed, his face carefully neutral, but the way Jack’s eyes flickered toward him didn’t go unnoticed. It was subtle, just a moment, but it lingered. Jack’s expression softened briefly before he looked away.
“Maybe…” Jack muttered under his breath, something unsaid hanging heavy in the room. But then, just as quickly, he turned back to Noah, snapping back into his usual banter. “But she’s not interested in you, mate. You’re a charity case.” The rest of the room burst into laughter, and the moment was gone, buried under their usual teasing. But Trent hadn’t laughed. He had felt something then, a pang of disappointment mixed with the quiet realization that Jack knew. Maybe Jack didn’t know the extent of it, but he’d always known there was something unspoken between you and Trent. And now here Trent was, years later, actively crossing the line Jack had drawn so clearly. He wasn’t a clueless teenager anymore, and the weight of what he was doing—and who he was risking—felt heavier than ever. But then his thoughts shifted to you. The way you’d looked at him the night before, your voice shaking as you’d told him he was everything, even when you thought you were losing him. That was enough to push the guilt aside, if only for a moment.
You called Layla that morning from your bedroom, your voice still thick with emotion but tinged with something lighter-relief, excitement, maybe even disbelief.
"When I tell you I was sobbing," you started, gripping the the edge of your dresser as you tried to steady your voice. "I was a mess, Layla. But then —he literally sent me flowers today. Like four arrangements. Four!" You explained. Layla didn't even pause before diving in, her tone pitched halfway between glee and exasperation.
"Finally! I've been screaming 'about time' since the first time you finally hooked up! That man's been fucking you for ages and he's just now asking you on a date?" She fell into giggles. You couldn't help but laugh, your cheeks heating even as you rolled your eyes.
"Layla! Can we not put it like that?" You tried to fight back a laugh.
"But I'm right!" she shot back. "It's been this whole dramatic saga of hiding and sneaking and you ending up crying at all hours because he's scared. And finally, he's putting it out there. I'm sorry, but I'm thrilled." You sighed, glancing at the arrangements.
"It feels... so different this time. He said he wants to do it right. He called me the girl of every season." Your voice cracked on the last few words, the weight of everything hitting you all over again. Layla softened instantly.
"Oh, babe. That's what you've wanted to hear, yeah? That he's sure. That he's not just scared of what Jack and the boys think but ready to fight for you." She cooed. You nodded even though she couldn't see you, tears pooling in your eyes.
"It's just...so much. I feel like I'm still holding my breath. Like, what if it's too good to be true?" You asked her sheepishly.
"Then let him prove it's not," Layla said firmly. "You've already been through the worst of it. Let him show you he's ready for the best of it." You sniffled, wiping at your eyes.
"I can't believe I'm saying this, but...l think he is. Is that bad?” You asked her hesitantly hoping she’d almost lie to you if she felt otherwise. But Layla answered honestly, always.
"No. This is good, Y/N, I can feel it," she said. "I''m so happy for you. Now we just let him sweep you off your feet properly. And wear something hot. You deserve to make him sweat." She told you very matter of fact and your mind began to work in overdrive after that imagining what you possibly had in your wardrobe that was fit for the occasion of all occasions; your first proper date with your brother’s best friend.
When the evening came, getting ready for the date felt surreal. You’d spent so long imagining this moment, and now that it was happening, the weight of it settled over you like a heavy, fluttering blanket. The mirror reflected your carefully chosen outfit, but your nerves made you question everything—was it too much? Not enough? Layla’s voice echoed in your head: Make him sweat. When the doorbell rang, your heart lurched. Trent was at your house. For a date. You opened the door with a shy smile, and Trent’s reaction stole whatever breath you had left.
Trent had stepped out of the car, his heart already thudding in his chest as he approached the front door. For a split second, he hesitated, the weight of everything—Jack, the years of denying his feelings, the risks—hitting him all at once. This was your house, but it was also Jack’s house, and the lines between those roles had always blurred in his mind. You weren’t supposed to be this person for him. You weren’t supposed to be his. But when the door opened, and you stepped out to greet him, all of that disappeared. Everything—Jack, the past, the unspoken boundaries—faded into nothing. All that was left was you. And you were breathtaking. He blinked, stunned, as his eyes drank you in. You were wearing a black Saint Laurent mini dress that clung to your figure in all the right ways, the fabric draping elegantly across your body. The deep V neckline hinted at so much but revealed just enough to keep it tasteful, leaving him completely undone. The simplicity of the dress only heightened how stunning you looked, and Trent couldn’t believe this was the same girl he used to see in oversized jumpers and trainers, lounging on Jack’s sofa. You didn’t look like Jack’s sister anymore. You didn’t even look like the girl he’d been secretly pining for all this time. You looked like his.
“Wow,” he finally managed, his voice low and a little hoarse. He shook his head, clearly taken aback as his eyes swept over you slowly. He couldn’t stop staring, his gaze trailing from your perfectly styled hair down to the way the dress skimmed your thighs, then back up to meet your eyes. “You look…” He trailed off, shaking his head slightly as if trying to find the right words.  He didn’t even finish the thought, just stepped closer and brushed a hand down your arm as if grounding himself.
“I look…?” Your nerves melted a little at his touch, and you dared to tease him. He smiled, leaning in to kiss your temple.
“You look perfect. Unreal…”  He cooed. A shy smile crept across your lips as you tucked a strand of hair behind your ear.
“Thank you,” you murmured softly, feeling the intensity of his gaze. Trent took a deep breath, trying to steady himself as he reached for you.
“You don’t look like…” He stopped himself, realizing how ridiculous it would sound to say, you don’t look like Jack’s sister right now. Instead, he smiled, his eyes softening as he leaned in closer. “You look like you. But more. If that makes sense.” Your smile widened, your cheeks flushing.
“You don’t look so bad yourself,” you teased, trying to ease the tension that was crackling between you. But Trent didn’t laugh. He couldn’t. His eyes were too busy tracing the way the soft lighting from the porch framed your face, making your features glow. You weren’t just beautiful—you were magnetic. “Let’s go,” he said quietly, his voice tinged with something more than affection—something closer to awe.
“Hold my hand.” His words were so simple, but the warmth in them settled your nerves as you slipped your hand into his. His fingers gently brushing yours before intertwining, his grip reassuring. He gently tugged on your hand, pulling you toward him as he bent down to kiss your temple, his lips lingering there for a moment.  And as he led you to the car, his heart racing and his mind whirling, all Trent could think was how wrong he’d been to ever believe you were off limits. You weren’t just something he wanted anymore. You were something he couldn’t imagine letting go. As you walked toward the car waiting outside, the weight of the situation loomed again. You hesitated, beginning to voice your lingering fear. Your anxiety if you should even be holding his hand here in front of the house skyrocketing.
“Are you…?” You began to speak but Trent didn’t let you finish.
“Yeah, I’m really sure.” His voice was steady, his gaze unwavering as he glanced down at you. He traced his thumb along the back of your hand, his certainty radiating through his touch. The tension in your chest loosened, and you let out a soft hum of approval.
“Okay.” You leaned in, kissing his shoulder as the two of you reached the car. Trent smiled down at you, opening the door with care. For the first time in a long time, you allowed yourself to believe that maybe, just maybe, this could be the start of something real.
The restaurant’s ambiance was a perfect blend of understated elegance and intimacy. The flickering candlelight reflected off the polished wood of your table, casting soft shadows that danced across Trent’s face. The low hum of conversation and occasional bursts of laughter from other diners barely registered; your world felt narrowed to the man sitting across from you. Trent was watching you intently, his eyes never straying far from yours. It was as though he was memorizing every detail, every expression, and every shift in your mood. You took a sip of your wine, savoring the moment, but before you could set your glass down, Trent leaned forward. His thumb gently brushed the corner of your mouth, catching a droplet of the deep red, his touch light but deliberate.
“Got you,” he murmured, his voice low and warm. His thumb lingered for a few seconds longer. You blinked, caught off guard by the tender gesture.
“Thank you,” you whispered, the words barely audible as your cheeks heated. You ducked your head slightly, shy under his steady gaze. But Trent wasn’t about to let you retreat into yourself. He leaned across the table a little more, his hand moved to hold for your chin. His fingers tilted your face toward him, his touch as soft as his voice.
“Look at me, baby,” he said gently, and when you lifted your eyes to meet his, he gave you a small, reassuring smile. Then, before you could overthink it, he closed the gap between you. His lips brushed against yours in a kiss so light it felt like a question, as if he was giving you the chance to pull away. But you didn’t. Instead, you leaned in, your heart racing as the kiss deepened for just a moment before you pulled back with a nervous giggle.
“Sorry,” you said, biting your lip. “That was… woah, you had me…. That was a lot...” You laughed shaking your head. You weren’t sure what planet you were on. He had pulled you into this world tonight that felt so surreal. He’d never done that to you before, kissed you in public, flirted with you at right while you sat across a table from him, it was all so confusing, and yet, he looked calm as ever. His movements were slow and deliberate. But then Trent chuckled, leaning back in his seat, but his hand stayed on yours, his thumb stroking over your knuckles.
“Was it now?” he teased, his grin playful. You smirked, trying to compose yourself.
“How many girls have you done that to?” you asked, your tone light but with a touch of curiosity beneath the joke. Trent raised an eyebrow, pretending to be offended.
“What kind of question is that?” He asked you. His smile now sickened handsome and taunting.
“An important one,” you shot back, your grin widening. He held up his hand, palm out like he was swearing an oath.
“Hand on heart, I have never wiped someone’s face. Not like that.” He told you. You narrowed your eyes at him, skeptical.
“Sure,” you drawled, the sarcasm dripping from your tone.
“I swear,” he said, leaning forward with a laugh. “You can ask anyone. I’ve never done that before.” You shook your head, trying to hide the way his words made your heart flutter.
“Right,” you muttered, looking down at your plate to avoid his gaze. The restaurant around you felt like a cocoon. The warm lighting and muted colors created a sense of privacy, even though you knew other people were dining nearby. It was hard to tell if his choice in restaurants that felt hidden was intentional or if it was just your perception, but either way, it was okay. The world outside might as well not exist you were so transfixed on him tonight. You had recently got to spend a lot of time with Trent but really getting his undivided attention at a dinner had your head spinning. And apparently that internal chaos was something he could feel.
“Stop overthinking,” Trent said suddenly, his voice breaking through your thoughts. You looked up at him, startled.
“I’m not.” You smiled softly trying to just act normal but you couldn’t.
“You are.” He smirked, his fingers sliding across the table to intertwine with yours. “I can see it all over your face.” You sighed, letting your thumb trace over his hand in return.
“Maybe I am,” you admitted. “This just… it feels surreal.”
“Surreal good or surreal bad?” he asked, his tone soft but his expression serious.
“Surreal good,” you said quickly, meeting his eyes. “Definitely good.” He smiled at that, the kind of smile that made your heart skip a beat.
“Good,” he said simply, squeezing your hand. The rest of the evening unfolded in a blur of easy conversation and quiet laughter. Trent kept finding ways to touch you—his hand brushing against yours, his knee bumping yours under the table, his fingers trailing lightly over your wrist when he thought you weren’t paying attention. Each touch felt deliberate, like he was grounding himself in the moment. By the time dessert arrived, you’d forgotten about everything outside of this little bubble you’d created together. For the first time in what felt like forever, you weren’t worried about what came next. You were just… happy.
Just as the waiter placed dessert on the table, your eyes drifted across the restaurant, scanning the room out of habit. That’s when you saw him—a player from Manchester United, someone you vaguely recognized. It took a moment to place him, but when you did, your stomach dropped. He wasn’t just another footballer. He was someone who was friends with Josh. And worse, he also knew Trent. Your fingers tightened around the edge of the table as a wave of anxiety crashed over you. He hadn’t noticed you yet, but it didn’t matter. The possibility that he might put two and two together made your throat tighten. Your heart raced as your mind spun through a dozen worst-case scenarios.
“Everything okay?” Trent’s voice cut through the fog. He’d been reaching for his fork, but now his full attention was on you, concern flickering in his eyes. You forced a smile, but it didn’t quite reach your eyes.
“Yeah, I’m fine,” you said quickly, trying to sound casual. Trent didn’t buy it. His hand reached across the table, covering yours.
“What’s wrong, baby. Is this not what you wanted?” He asked. You weren’t sure if he meant the dessert you just ordered or tonight in general, and while you thought you wanted both before now… you weren’t sure.  You hesitated, glancing back toward the other player, who was now laughing with his group, blissfully unaware of your presence.
“It’s nothing,” you said, your voice quieter.
“Y/N,” Trent said firmly, his hand squeezing yours. “Talk to me.” You looked back at him, his steady gaze grounding you for a moment, but the weight in your chest didn’t lift.
“Someone we know is here..” you admitted finally, your voice barely above a whisper.
“Who?” Trent’s brows furrowed, his body tensing slightly as his protective instincts kicked in.
“Some lad on Man United… I think you know him,” you said, your eyes darting nervously toward the man again. “But he knows Josh… and he knows you.” Trent’s jaw tightened, and his grip on your hand shifted, his thumb stroking over your knuckles in a soothing motion.
 “Okay,” he said slowly. “And?”
“And he might recognize me,” you blurted out. “Us. Together.” Trent leaned back slightly, his expression softening as he pieced together your anxiety.
“You’re worried about people finding out.” He cooed softly empathizing with your fear.  This was a big change to go from stolen kisses in the kitchen to sitting out in public together. You nodded, your stomach twisting.
“This whole night has been amazing, but… I don’t know if I’m ready for this. For being public. For the questions, the stares, the judgment. I mean, what if Jack—” you began to babble, faster more panicked.
“Stop, pretty girl.” Trent interrupted gently but firmly. “Breathe for a second.” You took a shaky breath, but your chest still felt tight. “Look at me,” he said, his tone steady. When your eyes met his, he leaned forward, his expression open and earnest. “I get it. I do. This is… a lot. And if you’re not ready, we can figure it out. But right now, it’s just us. No one else matters.” He told you in a tone that Trent reserved solely god you. It was commanding but incredibly weak all at once. You swallowed hard, his words calming you slightly, but doubt still lingered.
“I don’t want to ruin this,” you admitted, your voice cracking.
“You won’t,” he said, his tone firm. “I won’t let you.” The conviction in his voice made you want to believe him, but the weight of everything—your past, your ex, Jack, the scrutiny that would inevitably come—still sat heavy on your chest.
“I just…” You trailed off, struggling to find the right words.
“Baby... please. Just be here with me ,” Trent said with a small smile. “I’m here with you. That’s all that matters right now. And if it's really too much, just say the word. I’ll do whatever it takes to make this work but for right now.. Just try.” He cooed gently.  You stared at him, your heart aching at the sincerity in his eyes.
“You’re being too nice.” You giggled nervously. Trent had always been unreasonably patient and kind with you and that clearly wasn’t about to change. “I don’t deserve you,” you whispered.
“Yes, you do,” he said without hesitation, his voice so sure it made your chest tighten even more. You wanted to believe him. You wanted to believe that you could do this, that you could be brave enough to let this relationship exist outside of the shadows. But as you glanced back at the other boy across the room, your stomach churned with doubt. Trent’s hand on yours pulled your attention back to him.  “Hey,” he said softly. “baby, I'm serious, if you’re not ready, we can leave. No pressure.” Trent meant what he said but he'd be lying if a part of him wasn't aching for you just to try with him. To really commit to him, to this, to trying- it hurt. You hesitated for a moment before shaking your head.  The dinner had been perfect so far—Trent’s soft smiles, the way his fingers occasionally grazed yours on the table, and the playful, teasing lilt of his voice when he spoke. But your nerves had made it hard to focus entirely on him. You were too aware of your surroundings, glancing discreetly across the restaurant, noting every unfamiliar face. And then him. Josh’s friend. Maybe his name was Devon, you couldn't remember. And while he hadn’t said a word to you or Trent, his presence alone had unsettled you, pulling your mind into a spiral of what ifs. You felt like you were holding your breath, waiting for something to go wrong. You looked at Trent, his concern breaking through the wall of anxiety building in your chest. Trent was being so gentle, so patient, and it hit you—he deserved all of your attention tonight. It wasn’t fair to let the past shadow this moment.
“I’m okay, baby. Thank you. I'm sorry. I'm here." you said, smiling as you squeezed his hand. You took a deep breath, forcing yourself to let go of the tension in your shoulders, and allowed yourself to fall back into the bubble he created. With each passing minute, it became easier to focus solely on him. His laughter was infectious, the way he leaned in closer to you when you spoke made your stomach flutter. You’d forgotten how safe it felt to be wrapped up in someone like this, where the rest of the world melted away. But while you were blissfully unaware, Josh’s friend wasn’t. From his seat across the restaurant, he stared, squinting as recognition settled in. First, he caught sight of Trent—someone he knew well from the pitch, a rival he loved to hate. Then, his gaze shifted to you, seated across from him, clearly on a date. It was all too good. You, the ex of his best mate, now smiling, laughing, leaning into the guy who had made headlines time and again for his assists. He reached for his phone, holding it low as he snapped a photo of you both, capturing the intimacy of the moment. Trent’s hand resting on yours, your head tilted slightly as you laughed at something he’d just said. He smirked, tucking the phone away, already composing the perfect explanation to Josh when they inevitably debriefed. Meanwhile, you and Trent remained nonchalant, completely unaware of the brewing storm outside your little world. It didn’t matter, though—not right now. Your focus was on the way his eyes crinkled when he smiled, on how his foot brushed against yours under the table. For that moment, it was just the two of you—soft beginnings and unspoken promises, blissfully unaware of the chaos looming on the horizon.
As the car rolled down Trent’s driveway, the engine cut and he turned to you, his hand still loosely holding yours. “I’m off tomorrow,” he said, his voice soft but hopeful. “You’ll stay with me tonight?” He asked. You tilted your head, pretending to consider it, but the grin tugging at your lips gave you away.
“Obviously,” you teased with a giggle.
“C’mon,” he said with a smirk, stepping out of the car and coming around to open your door, his hand extended to help you out. As you walked to his front door, he hesitated for a moment before speaking again, his tone quieter.
“I know this might sound stupid, but… I feel like I don’t sleep as well when you’re not here.” Your heart clenched at his honesty, and you turned to look at him, warmth spreading through your chest.
“Aw, I’m sorry,” you said, teasing but still genuine. “Guess you’ll just have to invite me over more often.”  You smiled at him.
“Yeah?” He smiled down at you, his eyes soft in the dim light.
“Yeah,” you said confidently, giving his hand a squeeze. “I’ll be here whenever you need me.” Trent unlocked the door and pushed it open, stepping aside to let you in first.
“That’s all the time.” As you walked past him, he murmured under his breath, almost like he didn’t mean for you to hear it. You stopped just inside the doorway and turned to look at him, your expression softening.
“Hmm?” you asked.
“Nothing,” he said quickly, a bashful smile tugging at his lips. But you weren’t letting him off that easy.
“No, say it again. You said something,” you cooed, stepping closer to him, your curiosity piqued. He hesitated, running a hand over his hair, before finally meeting your eyes.
“I said that’s all the time. I need you all the time.” He repeated himself feeling a little embarrassed. For a moment, the air between you felt heavier, charged with something unspoken but deeply felt. You stepped closer, your hand reaching up to brush against his cheek.
“You’re such a closeted melt, you know that?” you teased, your voice trembling slightly with emotion.
“Yeah, well,” he said, his voice softening as his hands found your waist, pulling you closer. “You bring it out of me.” You leaned into him, your forehead resting against his, and for a moment, the world outside didn’t matter. It was just you and Trent, tangled up in each other, finding solace in the quiet honesty of the moment.
The moment you stepped into Trent’s ensuite that night, a wave of peace swept over you, so profound it nearly took your breath away. You paused in the doorway, your hand resting on the frame as your eyes scanned the room. It was large but not overly ornate, it felt like him—clean, understated, yet warm. Your toothbrush stood beside his on the sink, its placement deliberate and thoughtful. A small bottle of your favorite cleanser sat next to his cologne, nestled naturally as if it had always belonged there. A claw clip of yours rested near the edge of the counter, a quiet, unspoken reminder of the nights you’d spent here. It wasn’t much, but it was enough to undo you. You felt a tightness in your chest, not from anxiety or pain, but from an overwhelming sense of being seen. In the past, you’d been in rooms like this before. You’d picked up a bobby pin that didn’t belong to you, brushed past an earring left by someone else, and each time, it stung like a fresh wound, proof that you were just one of many. But here? Here, there were no ghosts of anyone else. Only you. It was all you tucked neatly beside only him. You took a step forward, letting your fingers trail along the edge of the counter. The thought of it—Trent deliberately making room for you, keeping your things here like they were as much a part of his space as his own—made your heart swell. It was such a simple thing, yet it felt monumental.
The sound of his footsteps behind you pulled you from your thoughts. You turned slightly to see him walk in, peeling his T-shirt off over his head in one easy motion. His body, lean and strong, caught the soft light of the room. He tossed the shirt onto the hamper carelessly before his eyes found yours in the mirror. A small, easy smile played on his lips as he crossed the room toward you, his movements unhurried. When he reached you, he wrapped his arms around your waist from behind, pulling you gently into him. His warmth seeped into your back as he pressed his chin against your shoulder, meeting your gaze in the mirror.
“I’m glad you’re here,” he said softly, his voice low and steady, full of sincerity. You turned your head to look at him directly, but before you could speak, he tilted his head down, pressing a tender kiss to the side of your neck. His lips brushed against your skin, and the simple touch sent a shiver through you. “I mean it,” he murmured into the curve of your shoulder, his voice muffled but no less sure. “I can’t sleep without you sometimes, baby.” His confession made your breath hitch. Your chest rose and fell, your heart racing, but not from nerves. This was so different, quieter, yet somehow so much deeper. You turned fully into his embrace, letting your hands rest on his forearms, your fingers tracing the lean muscles there. His lips trailed across your skin, pressing soft, unhurried kisses along your neck and shoulder. He wasn’t rushing; he was savoring, as if every touch of his lips was a silent reassurance, a promise he didn’t yet know how to put into words. You let your eyes flutter shut, leaning back into him as he tightened his hold on you. His hands slid beneath your shirt, his fingers finding their place on your bare stomach. He rubbed slow, languid circles there, his touch both grounding and electrifying. “You look so good like this,” he murmured against your skin, his voice low and reverent. A quiet hum escaped your lips as you leaned into him even more, your head resting against his shoulder. It wasn’t just his touch that made you feel this way; it was the way he held you, like you were something precious, something he didn’t want to let go of.
“This,” you murmured, your voice barely above a whisper. “This feels… perfect.” You told him.
“It does,” he replied, his voice equally soft but certain. For a while, you stayed there, wrapped in each other, letting the stillness of the moment settle over you. The air between you was charged yet calming, full of unspoken truths and quiet reassurances. As his hands continued their soothing motion on your stomach, you felt it—a profound sense of belonging. This wasn’t just a room, or a night, or even a fleeting moment. This was what you’d been searching for, what you hadn’t known you needed until now.
“You really like when I stay with you?” you whispered, your voice breaking slightly with emotion.
“I really do,” he promised, pressing a lingering kiss to your temple. His words weren’t just for the moment; they felt like a vow, one you believed with your whole heart. And as you stood there, his arms around you, the world outside faded away, leaving only the two of you in the quiet comfort of something that finally felt like home. Your moment of bliss was split when his phone rang. It was late, no one but someone important would call this late so you nodded for him to take it. He placed a couple more kisses onto your shoulder and your neck before dragging his hands off of you.
"Come to bed when you’re ready," he murmured nodding you on to finish getting ready for bed whilst he answered a phone call that ended up being from his agent.
As you stepped out of the en-suite, Trent was already lying on the bed, propped up against the headboard, his dark eyes fixed on you. The room was dimly lit, the only light coming from the bedside lamp, casting a warm glow over his chiseled features. He looked god-esque, his tanned skin glistening in the soft light, and his brown eyes sparkling with desire. You could feel a rush of excitement as you noticed the bulge in his sweatpants, a clear indication of his arousal. Smiling shyly, you approach the bed, your heart racing. Setting your phone down on the nightstand, you climbed onto the bed, your eyes never leaving his. Trent's gaze traveled down your body, taking in every curve, his eyes lingering on your tits, now partially exposed in your little silk pajama set.
"You look beautiful," he says, his voice deep and husky. "I love seeing you like this, at home with me… getting into bed with me.” He told you and though you agreed with loving his domestic this all felt you really liked the undertone of lust. You blushed at his words, feeling a surge of pleasure at the way he was able to make you feel desired.
"Yeah?” you replied, your voice a little breathless. "I like how you look at me when I get into your bed.” You smirked. Trent chuckled, a low, seductive sound that sent shivers down your spine.
"I can't help it, baby. You're so fucking sexy." He reached out and ran his fingers along your jawline, his touch sending sparks of electricity through your body. "I've been thinking about this all day. About having you here, back in my bed, doing all the things I've been dreaming of." Your heart skipped a beat at his words. You'd been dreaming of this moment too, of being with Trent, of a night like tonight exploring the passion and desire you'd both kept hidden for so long now bringing it out in public. Yet, in the bedroom, in private, was where you most wanted to be. You leaned into his touch, closing your eyes as his thumb brushed over your lower lip. "I want to make you feel good, Y/N," he whispers, his breath warm against your skin. "I want to touch you, taste you, make you say my name." He cooed gently with a purr. Your breath caught in your throat as his words sank in. You  always knew Trent was a confident and dominant guy, but hearing him express his desires so openly sends a thrill through your body every time.  You wanted to please him, to submit to his every whim, and the thought excited you beyond measure.
"Yes, please," you whispered, your voice barely audible. "I want that now, baby." Trent's eyes darkened with a fierce intensity, and he pulled you closer, his strong arms wrapping around your waist. He leaned in, his lips brushing against yours, a gentle tease that left you craving more.
"I'm going to take care of you, baby," he murmurs between kisses. As his lips captured yours, you melted into the kiss, your body molding perfectly to his. His tongue danced with yours, exploring, tasting, and claiming. You can taste the mint from your toothpaste on his tongue, a refreshing contrast to the heat building between you. His kiss was demanding, possessive, and it sent a clear message—he wants you, and he's going to have you. Your hands began to roam over his chest, feeling the hard muscles beneath his freshly clean shirt he’d just put on. You tugged at the fabric, eager to feel his skin against yours. Trent broke the kiss, his breathing heavy as he helped you lift his shirt over his head, revealing his sculpted torso. The sight of his bare chest took your breath away. His skin was smooth and tanned, with a light dusting of hair that trails down his stomach, disappearing into the waistband of his joggers.
"Fuck, you're so hot, T," you whispered, running your fingers over his pecs, feeling the rigid definition of his muscles. Trent's eyes gleamed with satisfaction at your words. He leaned back, pulling you on top of him, your legs straddling his waist. The position giving you a delicious sense of power. You took a moment to admire the sight of his strong body beneath you.
"Y/N," he growled your name, his hands gripping your thighs. "Show me how much you want me." He commanded you. You bit your lip, feeling a surge of boldness as you reached down grasping the waistband of his joggers. With slow, deliberate movements, you slid them down his hips, revealing his thick, erect cock, straining against his boxer briefs. You let out a soft gasp at the sight, your body throbbing with need, your fingers tracing the length of his shaft through the thin fabric. Trent's breath hitched as your fingers teased him, he bucked his hips, seeking more contact.  "Fuck, baby," he groans. "Take what you want. Show me.” You didn’t need to be told twice. With a swift motion, you hooked your thumbs under the elastic of his underwear and pulled them down, freeing his hard length. His cock sprung free, thick and heavy, the head glistening with pre-cum. You lean down, your breath ghosting over the sensitive skin, making him shudder. "Suck my cock, pretty girl," he commanded smugly, his hands gently dragging up your arm, to your shoulder, before moving to push some of your hair back. You obliged with a smile and a hum, lowering your head and taking the tip of his cock into your warm mouth. Trent let out a guttural moan as you swirled your tongue around the head, tasting the salty sweetness of him. You sucked gently, taking him deeper, inch by inch, until you could feel his hands in your hair, encouraging you to take more. "That's it, good girl," he grunted, his hips thrusting gently, fucking your mouth. And you took him well, minute after minute. "You wanna make me cum, baby? Suck me nice and slow, feel how hard you make me." You moaned around his length, the vibrations sending him over the edge. Trent's hands tighten in your hair, holding you in place as he empties his load down your throat. You swallow, relishing the taste of him, the evidence of his pleasure. He pulled you up, his lips seeking yours, sharing a deep, passionate kiss. "You're incredible," he breathed, his hands stroking your back. "I can't get enough of you." You smiled against his lips, feeling empowered by his words.
"I want to feel you inside me, T," you whispered, your hands roaming down his body, eager for more of him. He grinned, his eyes alight with anticipation.
“Mmmm, good, cause I plan to be inside you all night, baby." With that, he rolled you onto your back, his body covering yours, his lips trailing kisses down your neck, leaving a trail of fire in their wake. His hands slide under your top, caressing your skin, making you squirm with delight. "Let me take this off," he murmurs, his fingers deftly pulling up your silk tank top. You lifted your arms, allowing him to remove the garment, baring your tits to his hungry gaze. His eyes darkened as he took in the sight of your tits, your nipples already taut and begging for attention. "So fucking gorgeous," he growled, lowering his head to take a tight peak into his mouth. His tongue teased and suckled, drawing a moan from deep within you. You arched into his touch, your hands threading through his hair, holding him to you as he lavished attention on your sensitive flesh. His hands roamed over your body, exploring, squeezing, and caressing, making you feel alive and desired in a way you never had. "So good f’me, baby," he whispers, his breath hot against your skin as he moves to the other boob, giving it the same attentive treatment. You're lost in a haze of pleasure, your body humming with desire. Trent's hands travel down your body, playing with the waistband of your shorts before sliding them down your legs, leaving you clad only in your lacy panties. He took a moment to admire your naked form, his eyes burning with appreciation. "You're so fucking beautiful, Y/N," he says, his voice thick with admiration. "I’ve wanted this for so long. Every time feels like dream. Just want to worship every inch of you."  His words sent a thrill through your body, almost as if he cast a spell with them causing your legs to magically spread in silent invitation, eager for more of his touch. Trent knelt between your thighs, his eyes fixed on your core, now covered only by a thin layer of silk. "Gonna let me taste you, baby?” he asked tauntingly but his voice hoarse with need.
“Mhhhmm. Please, T.” You nodded, your breath coming in short gasps as he hooked his fingers under the elastic of your panties and slowly slid them down your legs. He took his time, his eyes never leaving your exposed heat, drinking in the sight of your glistening folds.
"So wet just for me," he murmurs, his fingers gently parting your lips, exposing your clit. You let out a soft cry as his finger brushes over your sensitive bundle of nerves, sending shocks of pleasure through your body. Trent leaned down, his breath hot against your swollen flesh, and then he replaced his finger with his mouth, his tongue flicking and lapping at your clit.
"Oh God, T, fuck," you moaned, your hands gripping the sheets as he feasted on your pussy, his tongue delving deep, tasting your essence. He moaned against you, the vibrations sending you closer to the edge. His fingers joined his tongue, sliding into your wet heat, stretching and filling you as he suckled your clit. Your body coiled tighter with each stroke, each flick of his tongue, until you were teetering on the precipice of release.
"Cum for me, baby," he urges, his voice muffled against your sex. "Let me feel you come on my tongue." His words pushed you over the edge, and you cried out, your body convulsing as wave after wave of pleasure rippling through you. Trent didn’t let up though, his tongue and fingers worked in perfect harmony, drawing out your orgasm until you were left trembling and sated. He moved up your body, his lips finding yours, sharing the taste of your climax. "So good f’me, baby," he breathes, his eyes filled with adoration. "I love making you feel good. Love making you cum." You tiredly smiled, your heart full as you pull him close, feeling the deep connection between you.
"I love cumming for you, T," you whispered, your fingers tracing the strong lines of his face. Both of you were using the orgasm as a front. Hiding behind the physical sensations to mask the very deep emotional connection developing. Neither of you really cared about that specific orgasm, no matter how good it was - you just were so clearly in love with each other and needed to say something but this wasn’t the time. It wasn’t the place. "I've never felt this way before." You sheepishly told him. He kissed you softly, his lips brushing yours in a tender caress.
"I know, baby. I feel it too. This is just the beginning. Promise" Trent cooed. He was talking about sex tonight but he was also talking about your relationship, your feelings. As his words began to sink in, you realized this night was just the start of something much bigger. The rest of the evening was spent in every position possible. Each orgasm hacking away at your restraint. You were falling weaker and weaker to him literally and figuratively, terrified you’d let those three little words slip. But after round five and orgasm seven you said no more, clinging to Trent, exhausted and spent, your eyes fluttering closed as he held you securely rubbing his hands up and down your body gently. He hummed in agreement kissing your glistening skin. He cleaned you up but you barely remember it as you were focused on nothing else but not letting your tired mind and body mutter how truly in love with him you really were. You successfully fell to sleep with no slip ups but Trent could feel the tension. He almost wished you had said it so he could finally admit it to you but that wasn't the case. And so that night, he held you tighter to him than he ever had before as he dozed off, unable to leave any space for the words you both longed to say. He was struggling to bite back the feelings looking at you asleep in his arms, the words so desperate to come out now. You looked so different now. Different than you did on the porch and you felt different too. You felt like you were his. But it wasn't just you, it all felt different, so different. Things had changed. You two had changed and there was no turning back now.

─── Damn, it seems like Kyūma messed up.
One of his bandmates mutters with an apparently frustrated sigh upon hearing the screen announcement that points had been exchanged. You don't really pay much attention to what your friends are saying to one another. Instead, your thoughts are consumed by where all of this is heading and the fact that you must find Kyūma—at least one last time.
Your body moves before your brain can catch up, running as fast as you can because you know your final moments depend on this. You're breathless but don't stop, tears blurring your vision and making it harder to see.
Running for your life had become routine at the Borderlands, but now, more than ever, the tightness in your chest, the rapid thudding of your heart, and the sweat dripping down your forehead somehow fuel your determination. You need to find him because you know he would want to be with you in his final moments, too.
After all, he promised you.
Like that day, before all this started, before the Borderlands mercilessly invaded your lives.
You were sitting in the tiny apartment you shared, more specifically on the balcony. Kyūma was perched on a chair, jotting down a song for his collection of potential tracks for future shows, while you lounged comfortably on a beanbag at his feet.
You observed every detail about him, every expression. You thought his love for music was beautiful, how it consumed his life in a way that seemed to give him a kind of freedom. You adored his dedication—like now—his brow slightly furrowed as he assessed some lyrics, his hair falling lightly over his face, or the way he pushed it back in that effortlessly attractive manner. You loved how he rested his notebook on one leg, which was crossed over the other and bouncing cheerfully to a rhythm only he could hear in his mind.
“I love this, you know?” you murmured with a smile, not wanting to break the calm atmosphere.
“What exactly?” he asked, glancing at you with curiosity, showing his usual interest in your thoughts and feelings.
“How passionate you are about everything you do. Whether it’s being an amazing boyfriend or even just little things like writing a good song for the band. I love that about you.”
He smiled shyly, something that only happened when he was around you. Normally, he was someone who wasn’t afraid to show how he felt when complimented, but with you, he got nervous—maybe because of the effect you had on him.
“Oh, my love. You’re making me all flustered now,” he replied playfully, laughing with you.
He lowered his raised leg, placing the notebook on the small table beside him, and gestured for you to sit on his lap, which you did. He cupped your face, pressing a sincere kiss to your lips, as tender as could be. His lips felt like a comforting embrace, a place where you could relax without fear. He pulled away, leaving one last kiss on your forehead, gazing into your eyes with care and affection, wishing he could hold this sight forever.
“I want you to know that you’re my greatest joy. My passion, my partner, my love. I’m in love with everything about you because I want to be with you and take care of you until my last breath. Keep this promise in your heart,” he said, holding your hands and pressing them against his chest. “I’ll love you until my last breath, until the last beat of my heart. I want to spend my life with you, even when we’re old and gray. But if that doesn’t happen, just know that every particle of my being lives for loving you, my darling.”
When you finally reach the shore where the ocean comes into view, you anxiously scan the area for Kyūma. You spot him quickly, standing beside a tall man you recognize as Arisu. Your breathing falters as your eyes meet Kyūma’s. He smiles at you while walking backward away from Arisu. You’re just a few steps away from them, so you sprint the remaining distance to him.
You stand face to face, Kyūma still smiling as he gently wipes the tears from your cheeks. The two of you join hands, and with his free hand, he cups your face, kissing you with both urgency and care. The kiss is short but profound—like every goodbye when it’s time to part. He pulls away, stroking your hair gently.
Kyūma turns to face the ocean, and you follow without hesitation. He lets go of your hand for a brief moment, raising his arms as he breathes in the cold ocean breeze one last time. You watch him, closing your eyes and sighing deeply as you smile softly.
─── I don’t regret anything.
His voice is calm, carrying the weight of everything left unsaid.
─── I had a good life with the band and the love of my life. It was incredible… Thank you. For living it with me until the very end.
He turns to you, pulling you into a tight embrace. You press a kiss to his neck, silently returning the sentiment.
─── Thank you, Kyūma... for always loving me.
A deafening noise comes from above, followed by a bright red light descending from the sky. In that instant, both of you are swallowed into the vastness of the blue ocean.
Arisu watches, his legs trembling as he witnesses the end of a love that lasted as powerfully as time itself, ending with nothing more than a game.
─── …I’m so sorry.
He covers his face with his hands, tears streaming down uncontrollably.

Yandere Victor & Andrew x reader !!
—Genre: Smut, yandere, a bit of fluff (Mostly with aftercare, if you choose to add that)!! —You can make this a normal Victor & Andrew x reader- maybe just simply making them jealous, or turning it down a few notches- but if you don’t mind I like yandere fics, especially with duo yanderes!!
—Victor (Main headcanons): Victor is a more fluffy yandere, but he’s secretly very manipulative, due to his ‘shy’ nature he comes off as innocent, and he fully uses that to guilt trip reader when he doesn’t get enough attention from them. Victor’s also scared of losing Reader, afraid he won’t get any more letters just for him from them. But Victor does what every yandere does, when he gets threatened by someone else, he gets threatening back, it’s subtle, but he’ll send a letter to them, basically saying Reader doesn’t love them and they should back off- in a passive aggressive type tone, but if they don’t back off, during the manor games, he’ll purposefully put them in danger- tripping them, messing up decoding, etc. Though Victor will always play the “innocent, sweet postman” when confronted, feigning a lot of trust in Reader to seem more naive and incapable of doing such things!!
—Andrew (Main headcanons): Andrew is also very manipulative, but uses it in a different way, he both guilt trips you, and uses his “pathetic gravekeeper” status, to make Reader seem more intertwined with him. And by proxy, with people getting freaked out by Andrew, they’ll slowly become more isolated until they have nobody but him. Andrew was raised alone, never understood or given basic empathy, so when Reader showed the slightest affection, he opened up and became obsessed. Andrew is delusional, thinking this is what the lord destined him, an angelic, patient person to deal with his melancholy nature- and how any rivals are demons, he uses this to justify when he feels guilty for hurting Reader, indirectly or directly. If the isolation doesn’t work, Andrew will straight up threaten him, taking advantage of his lanky, sickly figure to scare off others!!
—Plot: Andrew noticed Victor getting too warmed up with Reader, and with how obviously affectionate Andrew was Victor noticed him. Originally they planned to full on kill the other, until they realized they had a common goal, plus they were also very close prior to becoming obsessed with Reader- so the two besties made a deal, they’d share Reader!! Andrew is vanilla because he’s holy-er than thou, so Victor had to explain certain positions suited for 3 people, making both blush really bad- surprisingly Andrew is the most dominant, and Victor is the more subtle one!!
—M anon: Your biggest fan !!
OMG.. NO WAY…
First off, this was just, chefs kiss.. like I loved reading this.. the writing and the font and the colors and askskdjdj
Second, MY FIRST LETTER ANON!! AHHH- I could kiss you…
Third your so right.. they would totally do all of that but let me present to you some of my thoughts..
Also I didn’t really feel like making a whole fic, sorry, but I’ll make one soon surrounded around this..!
Andrew and Victor sharing the same darling..
Tumblr media
———————————————————————-
Okay first, I just kinda wanna state what’s in my head first,
So in the manor I like to think that they can die, but they just wake up again in bed. Like respawning.
So Andrew definitely killed Victor out of spite at least once by ‘accidentally’ shoving him into the Hunter and getting him killed.
Victor would totally attempt the same but he’d never get the chance because he’d figure out their common goal.
So relationship wise I don’t feel like they’d be very poly, mostly because I’m sorta uncomfortable writing poly stuff but I’ll let the threesome stuff slide, just a bit. Though, they’d definitely take turns sharing you.
Like there’s dedicated days…
Not gonna go into the days stuff but they sometimes, rarely, fight about it.. just know that holidays are mostly on whoever lands on that day and the other has to suck it up and save it for the next..
So when it comes to actual sex Andrew was kinda standoffish because like, sex in general is unholy, wouldn’t doing it with two people make it worse?
After some gentle convincing, Andrew caves and agrees. Only to find out that he.. tolerates it. It’s good in a way but it’s not his favorite.
It would take Andrew sometime to warm up to this sorta stuff, but once he’s into it, he’s into it. Victor doesn’t seem to have a problem either way, he’s getting what he wants at the cost of having to share. And it’s mostly a win/win.
Andrew would rather have you to himself. As would Victor, but anyways, he figures out, somehow, the best types of positions. And gently guides the three of you through it.
Andrew is behind you, with Victor in front, ass up and mouth open, taking both of them so nicely.
Victor is gently grunting as he thrusts into your mouth, while Andrew has a hand on your hip and another in your hair, pounding into you as he loses himself in pleasure.
By the end of it you’re stuffed in all holes and sandwiched between the both of them. Their hold on you very possessive.
I Lowkey feel like they’d make a competition out of this, to see who can pleasure you the most. There doesn’t have to be a winner but the jabs here and there make it worth it.
———————————————————————-
I hoped you like this.. I really don’t know how to write smut well. I also hope I didn’t like derail what you had in mind cause that’s the last thing I wanted to do..

Caught up in Caution
"You know that if they even start to sense that you might be uncomfortable with something- they’re gonna stop and make sure you’re okay. Let alone if you actually say that you’re uncomfortable? Oh, they’re gonna treat it like it’s an emergency."
Pairing: Sun/Moon/Reader
Word Count: 2,139
minors DNI - 18+ content below the cut
Tumblr media
Contains: [afab!Reader] [sub!bottom!Reader] [gentle dom!top!Sun & Moon] [no gendered terms used] [Sun & Moon are separate animatronics] [implied DP] [it isn't necessarily a "first time trying DP" scenario but could probably be read as such]
A/Ns: this is literally just my rambling thoughts about communication and ongoing consent during sex with Sun and Moon, because sex isn’t always perfect and smooth, which eventually turns into a little drabble about them being afraid that they’ve hurt you
Tumblr media
As fun as all the other kinkier and rougher stuff can be- the main thing I keep returning to and pining over is the thought of just.. gentle, careful, loving and comforting sex with Sun & Moon.
Just… so fucking soft. Slow. Calm. Safe. Sane. Consensual.
Because, as far as the versions of them that live in my head go- they’re actually surprisingly good at sharing. The last thing they want to do is make you feel like you’re just some toy that they can’t stop fighting over. They love you but they also love each other. This isn’t a competition.
They’re not gonna do anything that causes you to show even the slightest sign of hesitance. Their eyes are constantly darting back up to look into yours, continually making sure that this is okay, that you still feel safe, that you still want this.
Constant little questions being whispered from both of them.
“Is- is this okay? Not too much?”
“Does that feel good, Sunshine?”
“I’m not gripping you too tight, am I?”
“Is this alright, Starlight?”
“You promise you’re comfortable between us like this?”
Some people might fear that asking so many little questions like that during sex might be a turn off. For you though, honestly, it’s the complete opposite. Nothing makes it easier for you to let go and enjoy what’s happening than the constant reminder that you can say no, or stop, or slow down, or change your mind at any time. That you’re the one in control here. Even while knowing that they could overpower you in one second flat- you feel so safe because you know that they won’t.
You know that if they even start to sense that you might be uncomfortable with something- they’re gonna stop and make sure you’re okay. Let alone if you actually say that you’re uncomfortable? Oh, they’re gonna treat it like it’s an emergency.
Even if it’s just some small thing, like, “Hey.. can we uh.. can we switch positions a little bit? My body’s getting a little tired..” they’re already moving as quickly as they can while trying to remain gentle with you.
Sun completely pulls out in his slight panic, torn between wanting to go slow with you and wanting to relieve your discomfort as quickly as possible, before you can even tell him that that’s not even necessary.
You try telling him that he wasn’t hurting you, but you can tell that both bots are quickly getting lost in their shared headspace, conversing rapidly and silently with each other out of instinct, the same way they always solved any problems that arose when it was just them alone, against the world. Together.
The thoughts that constantly fire back and forth between them quickly shift from calm to panicked.
[ … 𝒋𝒖𝒔𝒕 𝒍𝒊𝒌𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕.. 𝒏𝒊𝒄𝒆 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒆𝒂𝒔𝒚, 𝑺𝒖𝒏𝒏𝒚. ]

Outside their headspace, at the same time, they’re talking aloud over one another, asking you twenty questions. “Are you okay? Did I hurt you? Where does it hurt, starlight? Do you want to stop? Was I too rough?”
You can’t help but feel a wave of emotion wash over you, your throat getting a little tight and eyes shining with a hint of tears at the sight of these two fools being so careful with you that they think they did something horribly wrong just because your thighs are tired.
It’s extremely endearing.
You can’t help the way you smile as you attempt to reign in their worried thoughts and questions. Finally, your voice seems to break through their combined internal noise and you catch their focus.
“Hey- hey - look at me. Can you two look at me, please?” Their heads snap to attention, looking up from where they were scanning all over you looking for signs of injury. Sun’s hands slowing their cautious search to a halt on your waist while Moon’s settle feather light on your outer thighs. Both of their thumbs gently brushing back and forth over your skin- a little sign of affection that they both share.
Looking back and forth between them as you speak, you calm them before they can get carried away thinking they did something wrong. “There we go. Listen to me, loves- I’m okay . Completely okay. I promise. You didn’t do anything wrong, and I don’t want to stop, my thighs literally just got tired of the position we were in.”
You can’t help but laugh a little at yourself, sitting here explaining the concept of your muscles getting tired to two beings that could probably keep going until the actual sun burns out and never even need to slow down. “As incredible as it feels.. I can’t hold that position forever, unfortunately. But, I promise- you haven’t hurt me. I just wanted to shift around a little, okay?”
Sun lets out a conflicted whine as he rests the top of his faceplate against the back of your shoulder, rays retracted in lingering worry. Moon looks up at the two of you with a mix of love and concern written all over his features. Sun’s always been the more anxious of the two, so even though Moon seems to have realized that nothing is actually wrong, he knows Sun might need a little longer to stop overthinking things.
One of Moon’s hands reaches up to find Sun’s, and you feel him gently sliding it up over your hip, along your side and working his way under Sun’s hand to lace their fingers together, getting his attention. His gravelly voice calls out to him quietly. “Sunny, it’s okay. They’re not hurt, see? I know you’re scared of being too much for them.. you know I am too.. but needing a break from physical exertion after a while is normal for humans. We both know that. It doesn’t mean that we’ve hurt them.”
He looks at you for confirmation, faceplate clicking to the right twice, in semblance of cocking his head to the side in question. “Right, little Star?”
At his question, you pull yourself out of the zone you were lost in, having gotten caught up in watching Moon be so soft and affectionate with Sun. He knew how to talk him down better than anyone.
You echo his sentiment. “Yes, exactly! I’m okay. Everyone’s okay, Sunny.” You turn your head as best as you can to look at him, but with how he’s pressed up against you, holding you from behind, you eventually just settle for nuzzling your cheek up against the edge of his faceplate. Sun pulls in a deep simulated breath, attempting to cool out his system before speaking up.
“I don’t mean to overreact, truly! But.. when it comes to things like this, it’s just.. anything involving something so intimate with you.. I can’t afford to hurt you. I can’t afford to mess this up. Want this to be perfect for you, you know? We both do.. and.. even if Moon doesn’t show it as much.. I know he’s nervous too.” The hand of his that’s still resting on your waist starts to move again, fingertips slowly tracing the outline of your form as he calms himself down.
You struggle to suppress the shiver that runs through you in response to the feeling, not wanting your body’s involuntary response to ruin the emotional moment. With your eyes closed, leaning back against Sun, you miss the slight smirk that grows on Moon’s face when he catches the way you tense up around him. Even without looking, though, you already know there’s no way he didn’t notice, given that he’s still buried to the hilt inside you. Both of you ignore it in favor of making sure that Sun is okay, though.
Sun’s voice comes out a bit sheepish when he speaks up again. “Sorry if I, uhm.. ruined the moment..” he trails off and you speak up before he can think something like that for one more second.
You reach behind you and gently tilt his faceplate up to look at you. “No, honey, you haven’t ruined anything. Not at all. ” You turn to look down at Moon, who isn’t doing as good of a job at hiding the concern on his face as he might think he is, and you speak to both of them.
“Neither of you have ruined this. I’ll remind you as many times as I need to, I love how careful you two are with me. It doesn’t pull me out of the moment when you ask if something is okay. It doesn’t ruin anything if we need to stop and switch positions. Your frequent checking in with me makes me feel so safe, and that allows me to relax, and that allows me to feel good. I love it. I really do.”
You reach down and find Moon’s hand where it’s been gently kneading at your thigh. “I’m more than happy to pick back up where we left off as long as you two want to as well. Or, if anyone’s not up for more right now we can always take a break and just cuddle and relax. It’s your call. You guys have just as much of a say in what we do as I do, remember? I want you both to be comfortable as well.”
Sun looks down at Moon and is met with a look that has shifted into the same patient, loving expression that he sees on your face. “I- I mean- I’m definitely still up for more if you two are. Now that I know you’re okay, Sunshine. I.. I’d still like to finish what we started.” He says with a small smile, looking down like he’s embarrassed to admit what he wants.
And he is, sometimes.
He can get a little shy when it comes to actually vocalizing all the things he wants to do with the two of you. He’s grateful that both Moon and you seem to find it nothing but endearing.
You look to Moon to see what he wants and if the devious little grin that has made it’s way back onto his face says anything, you know what he’s gonna say. Not to mention, with way your body is settled down against him, you can feel the vibrations that reverberate through him when he speaks, almost like he’s doing it on purpose.
“Well… if both of you are still feeling up to it, you know g̸͎̫͛o̵̫͙͘d̸̖̊d̸̮͒̍å̴͙̈ͅm̸̳̭̈n̷̘͐͌ well I am.” His voice box seems reluctant to form the word, but he brute forces it anyways, and you don’t know if his glitchy attempt at cursing should turn you on as much as it does. Well, it’s not like you could ever hide your honest reaction from him anyways, if your wetness beginning to pool at the base of his pelvic plate is anything to go by.
If Sun takes any sort of issue with Moon’s use of “foul language”, he doesn’t show it, the solar bot already preoccupied with seeing to it that you’re still prepared to take him. Long, gentle fingers slowly opening you back up as you let yourself fall forward, back arching instinctually, hands bracing yourself on Moon’s chest. His hands make their way back to your hips, fingers rubbing gentle circles into the soft curves of your form, still ever mindful of the fact that you’re fragile.
“I do recall the both of us making a promise to fill you up.. and I would certainly like to uphold my end of the deal.” His eyes flick away from where they’d trailed down between you two, his focus always drawn to where the three of you connect, back to your face. “If that still sounds appealing to you, of course, Starlight.”
Sun can’t help but giggle at the way your breath hitches at the simple combination of Moon’s words and his fingers finding a certain sweet spot that he’d been searching for. You shiver and shift between them in response to the thought of being completely full of them both again, and you nod your head eagerly, “yes, please” falling from your lips so easily, over and over, quickly falling back into the headspace that makes it so easy to just take. To relax, to let go, and beg for them to give you everything they can.
You know you’re in safe hands, and you’re eager to let those hands wander wherever they please.

Chapter 5 - Total Divas Begins!
Tumblr media
TAGLIST: @angiedawn02 @reignsboy19 @yana3sworld
Do NOT copy/translate my fics. Reblogs are always welcome!
Summary: Rosa Winters and her cousin have moved to the main roster, and onto Total Divas. Rosa and Josh have gotten much closer, but where will they go from here.
WARNINGS: mentions of anxiety, fluff. This story WILL contain sexual content so minors DNI
A/N - So much faster. I am so excited for this part of the story I love the show and it just has so much drama which is what sparked this story idea in the first place!
Word Count: 2135
One whole year has passed and Josh and I have become great friends.
Oh who am I kidding, I’m head over heels for this man.
No matter, It’s been one year and Trinity, myself and her tag partner were called up to the main roster. Which means not only more screen time, but Trin and I get to travel with Jon and Josh.
We were also approached with the idea of a reality show called ‘Total Divas’ which would star Trinity, Ariane and I, the Bella twins, Brie and Nikki, Natalya, Eva who’s a brand new girl, and her partner, Jojo.
We started filming today.
-Interview-
“Hi my name is Rosalinda Santos-Winters, also known as Rosa Winters in the ring,” I said smiling at the camera. “When I started wrestling they said it was very clear I couldn’t be in a tag-team full-time with all the flips and tricks I do they were afraid whoever would be my partner would be outshined so I was signed as a full-time singles wrestler.”
“Yeah, so, Trinity is my blood-related cousin we grew up together and share the same birthday.” I said. “My relationship to Josh Uso? We’re just friends. I mean it was inevitable considering Trinity is going to marry that man one day.”
-Return to show-
Once I finished my introduction for the first episode I went to meet Trin, Ariane, and Jon at the gym.
“C’mon you gotta get amped!” Ariane said jumping up and down.
“I’m not workin out wit’ you if you don’t stop,” Trin said.
“Seriously Ariane who has this much energy when they’re at the gym at fricken 10am?” I asked putting my bag down.
“Hey Ro, good to see ya. My bro’s been askin’ fo’ you, you don’ answer your phone no more?” Jon asked as I climbed onto the treadmill next to him.
“What the hell you talkin bout’ Jon?” I asked scrunching my face in confusion. “He hasn’t texted or called in two weeks!”
“That ain’t what he said,” Jon said throwing his hands up.
“Then call him and tell him to get his ass down here,” I said pulling my headphones on.
I finished my warm-up jog turning to find the other two doing some weird lift while Jon watched. “You on union duty Jon?” I asked laughing, taking a sip of my water.
“You know it Ro,” he winked.
“Aye you winking at my girl?” Josh asked playfully smacking him in the stomach.
“Not your girl Joshua,” I said shaking my head.
“Not yet,” Josh smirked. I raised my brow at him.
“Mhm sure Uso,” I said elbowing him. “Now come help me stretch.”
“You fo’ real? We haven’t talked in two weeks and all Imma do is help you stretch your bendy self?” Josh asked trailing after me. I laid on a yoga mat on the ground
“Not my fault! I was busy, you were busy we just didn’t have time. Now push my leg farther!” I said.
“Yo’ leg is past your head you freak of nature!” Josh laughed.
“Just cuz you’re not flexible doesn’t mean you get to make fun of me for being extra bendy in all the right places,” I said.
“I can agree. Definitely all the right places,” he said.
“You are nasty!” I said kicking him. “You gon’ have to meet me in the ring for that one Joshua.”
“Fuuck man I don’t wanna be Winter whipped or White widowed today,” he whined throwing his head back.
“Don’t be gross and you won’t, but here we are,” I shrugged. Josh groaned hanging his head.
“Sucks to be you uce,” Jon laughed slapping his brother on the back.
“You’re next Jonathan!”
“What?! What’d I do?” Jon asked.
Josh and I spent most of the afternoon training. We took a break around 1pm. I sat panting on the mat sipping water.
“Why do you think Trin hasn’t started planning anything for the wedding yet?” Josh asked. I paused staring at him my brow raised.
“What makes you bring this up so suddenly?” I asked.
“Jon mentioned she wasn’t even interested in talking about wedding planning so I was just curious,” Josh said suspiciously.
“Mhm and Jon didn’t put you up to this did he?”
“Nooo,” Josh said avoiding eye contact.
“You’re a terrible liar you know.”
“I know, but do you know?” He asked.
I sighed, “honestly, the only thing I know she did was ask me to be her maid of honor, she won’t talk about dresses, food, or even where she wants to have it. Believe me I tried to pry it out, but I got nothing.”
“Damn. Sorry ma’ I know you ain’t gonna sell yo’ sis out like that, but I gotta help my uce,” Josh said.
“It’s ok Josh,” I said with a small smile.
“Anyways, have you thought about what I asked?” He asked.
-Interview-
“So, two weeks ago Josh asked me on a date and it went a little something like this:
“Hey, Ro,” Josh said walking up to me backstage.
“Hey Josh what's up?” I asked looking up from my stretch. He reached out his hand and pulled me up.
“So, we've been hangin’ out for a while, and I wanted to ask you out on a date. You know, maybe go out to Waffle house or somethin’?” He said rubbing his hands together.
“I'm sorry you say what now?” I asked, blinking rapidly.
“Will you go on a date with me Ro?” Josh asked again.
“I'm sorry, you- my best friend- wanna go on a date with my basic ass? Are you sure?” I asked again.
“Ma’ you're not basic and I'm sure I wanna go on a date with you. You just gotta say yes ma’,” Josh said.
“I-uh-”
“Rosa time to go, get to the Guerrilla!” One of the producers yelled.
“Josh listen I-”
“Go Ro, just think on it before you say no, or yes,” Josh said, ushering me away.
“And obviously after all of that I hadn't seen or heard from him in a damn week so I couldn’t tell him that yes absolutely I wanna go on a date with his fine ass,” I said finishing my story.
-back with Josh-
I couldn't help but replay that moment in my head as I tried to conjure up a response.
I looked at him like a gaping fish. My heart raced, my thoughts ricocheting like a pinball in a machine. The words felt like they were stuck in my throat, every possible answer tangling together into silence.
My thoughts were racing, going a mile a minute. ‘What if it didn't work out?’ ‘What if he realizes I'm not what he really wants in a girl?’ but ‘What if I say yes and everything goes amazing and it's my happily ever after?!’ No life is never that simple
All I had to look at was his face- his handsome face and I could see his face and it didn't change, it didn’t falter, he didn't get discouraged he just stood patiently waiting for my response.
I don't know how he didn't think I was rejecting him, or that I was insane with all the faces I was making with all those thoughts running through my head.
I've just had a huge crush on him for a very long time and he's my best friend now and I don't want to lose him, but he's such a sweetheart and he knows me so well now.
“Josh,” I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. “I really wanna go out with you, but if things don't go right we have to stay friends. Promise me.”
“Ma’ you don’ gotta worry bout’ that. You and me we'll always be friends, but you an’ I are goin out tonight and it's gonna be amazing ok dress cute aight? I'll see you later,” Josh said, pulling me into a hug kissing my head.
I stood there for a minute just short circuiting blinking and staring into the abyss for a minute.
“Hey Roro! Girl whatchu doin just standin’ here we gotta get to work,” Trin said, wrapping her arm around my neck trying to pull me away. I snapped outta my trance and turned to her.
“Josh asked me out Trin,” I said, my eyes still buggin out.
“AHHHHHH No way! Rosie, that's amazing! Wait where? We have no time to plan outfits, where's Jon? Jon! Get over here!” Trin yelled.
“Damn girl whatchu want? Over here yellin an shi,” Jon asked rubbing his ears like the drama queen he is.
“Josh asked her out, finally, now you need to figure out where they goin so we can get her an outfit,” Trin said. Jon rolled his eyes.
“Girl that's easy, gimme like an hour. Lord knows his ass celebratin right now,” Jon said.
Trin couldn't stop smiling and I was still processing, but soon enough I couldn't get that smile off my face, but she ended up dragging me away anyway.
“How's tag-team life been?” I asked.
Trinity sighed, “Ariane hasn’t been listening to what I have to say and like I know we got called up at the same time, but I been doin’ this a lot longer than her. I just want everything to work out for us, you know?”
“Yeah I totally get it, but you'll work it out you always do,” I said, nudging her. I waved her off as I went to get ready for my match.
I decided tonight was the night I was gonna show some skin and by some skin I mean my tattoos. For the first time ever on television my sleeve and chest piece were gonna be on full display.
My gear, as usual, was all white. My pants were normal cargo pants with small black prints on them and my top was a leather strappy top that all connected at a piece that wrapped around my neck leaving my stomach exposed as well as both my arms, and my boots were just plain white combat boots. I completed the look with just a simple white smokey eye with thick black liner.
I met up with Trin and Ariane after their dress rehearsal for Wrestlemainia, on the way to meet up with Nattie, the newbies and Ariane’s boyfriend.
“Hey girls~” Nattie said, pulling me into a hug. “Oh my god Rosie you have all your tattoos out!”
“Yeah I got this new gear and figured now was as good a time as any. Vince and everyone knows I have them and I decided I need to step a tiny bit outta my comfort zone and show a little skin,” I smiled, hugging myself.
I watched Ariane go to the side with her boyfriend Vincent and I went and met up with Jon and Trin.
“What's wrong with her, why is she crying?” I asked.
“Brutus called out that she sucks,” Trin said as we walked away with Jon. I gasped.
“That's terrible, you can't just call that out in front of a crowd of people,” I said. Trin nodded.
-Interview-
“I know Ariane is…. Inexperienced, but that doesn't give his ass the right to say she sucks in front of a whole crowd of people! If the higher-ups in WWE hear that they're gonna question having the match in Wrestlemania at all and that jeopardizes everything for my twin, Trinity. An’ we all know I’on play those games,” I said.
-Return to show-
“You're not gonna do anything,” Jon said to Vinny.
“Nah, nah, Imma go fuck his ass up right now,” Vinny said.
“Vinny, try and relax, don't do anything you're gonna regret later,” I said, laying my hand on his shoulder.
“Aye get your hands offa me!” Vinny said, slapping my hand.
I cradled my hand to my chest in shock, Trin pulled me back away from Vinny afraid he'd turn his anger on me.
“Aye what the hell man don't you put your hands on her! She tryina be nice and keep yo’ ass outta prison,” Josh said, appearing outta thin air.
“Josh, don't it's really not worth it,” I said, grabbing his hand.
“Nah, Ro he put his hands on you that don't fly ‘round here. Not wit’ me,” Josh said, turning to look at me with fury in his eyes.
I could understand his anger, I wasn’t particularly happy myself but I could tell Josh realized that I really just couldn't have this right now and I had bigger things to worry about.
“Really it's fine, let's just go. I have a match in 5 minutes,” I said.
Josh stared at me for a second before taking a deep breath and nodding, turning to Vinny to add; “Fine, but you gotta calm yo’ ass down uce,” Josh said, following me away.

A highly concerning problem
(massive tw for 18+ content etc, if you are sensitive to such topics please click away)
I would appreciate if you could all hear me out to the end on this one, as I unfortunately feel the feathers this will ruffle are the ones who need to hear it most. (There is a TLDR at the bottom if you would like)
I’m afraid this fandom has a growing problem with sexually explicit content regarding minors. The main cast of this story are all children, save Chris, and yet I have seen posts, art, and fanfics about these MINORS having kinky sex and illustrations of them engaging in bdsm-related content. This is disgusting and illegal. There has also been a lot of labelling of these characters as ‘whores’ and ‘sluts’ which is not illegal, but in my opinion is very very strange.
“Why do you care, just click away”
“It’s just internet fan content, it’s not a big deal”
I would hope morals alone would deter people from doing something so obviously creepy, but here are some other reasons this is dangerous:
This fandom is full of minors, and when they see this glorification of sex and drugs while under age, it normalises it for them. This could potentially lead to them ending up in dangerous situations because they have become blind to the reality of their situation. They could end up scarred for life, and if you think I’m overreacting, this process has probably already happened to you.
Minors are not the only ones who will see this type of art. Posting this is providing a certain demographic with content that they should not have access to. It also draws them to, again, a fandom filled with Minors.
Some people (myself included) do not want to see this content and exposure to it may cause adverse effects. I came to this fandom because I wanted to talk about silly teenagers with superpowers based off a skeleton from a 2015 video game. I did not want to see to creeps discussing kinky sex fantasies with minors.
“Lots of TV shows have this kind of content, why don’t you complain about that?”
I do. The key difference here is that this fandom glamourises child porn and inappropriate relations between children and also minors and adults. Most shows that grapple with this topic point out how bad this is and it’s very real adverse effects on people, and if they don’t they’re usually called out for it. As an additional point, most shows that tackle this are usually 18+.
“I’m a teenager, and I have these feelings.”
Again, you’re not the only person seeing this content. Non-teens with questionable motives will see it too. Also yes, I get it, most teens will want to explore the topic of sexuality. However if you must be rampantly horny, please channel it through adult characters and share it in communities of people who have volunteered to see such topics.
As an aside, and I feel that this may offend some people but I do want to highlight it, I would like to point out that Chris is an adult and Nevin is a minor. I have heard some say that ‘Nevin is almost 16’, but I would like to refute that with two points:
16 is still a minor.
Nevin is not real, he doesn’t age on a day-by-day basis like we do. He cannot be ‘almost’ 16, it doesn’t work like that. He is a child until the author says otherwise.
Sure, a relationship with Chris wouldn’t be illegal, but the maturity gap between those age groups is dangerous if normalised in real life. I don’t know any 18 year olds without alterior motives who would date a 15 year old.
I would like to say that I have nothing against shipping the characters, just posting explicit material of them.
TLDR; Posting sexually explicit content of minors is illegal, normalises dangerous activities in the impressionable young minds of other teens, provides Pedos with free content and draws them to this fandom. Also most people didn’t ask to see that type of stuff, we just want to look at fanart of our favourite characters, so please keep it to specific communities.

I visited the WGA library to read Yellowjackets scripts and wanted to share some of my findings! (Pt. 1)
So as some of you may know, scripts for the latter half of Yellowjackets Season 1 have already been released to the public (you can find 1x05-1x10 here: https://drive.google.com/drive/mobile/folders/1FctrMniXqWRFJOe-rX6dSgvmXEO2KyLE?usp=share_link) and the Pilot script is pretty easily accessible on the internet if you look it up.
However, I have never been able to find the scripts for the rest of S1. An old draft of 1x04 can be found on Script Slug but A LOT has been changed from this script to the final product (Van is dead, Nat actually killed her dad, Javi is called Cody?!). It’s an interesting read for sure but it seems the actual final script of “Bear Down,” along with “F Sharp” and “Dollhouse,” are not accessible on the internet. So I headed over to the WGA Library and checked out those three scripts to read! It was super interesting (highly recommend going if you’re in the LA area!). I was not able to get any pictures of the scripts due to the Library policy, but I took lots of notes and saved some of my favorite lines!
I’m going to start with 1x02 and make two separate posts of 1x03 and 1x04 because otherwise this post would be way too long!
1x02 “F Sharp”
Tumblr media
•The episode starts with Misty’s POV of the crash, and there’s this line that I love:
“Across from her, Lottie reaches forward to desperately clutch Laura Lee’s hand in the aisle. Their shared terror making it all the more clear that, in this moment, Misty is all alone.”
This shows Misty’s longing for companionship and affection. Even in what she thinks might be her last moments, she is utterly alone. I think this moment is part of what tips her over the edge into obsession in her relationships with Coach Ben, Crystal, and Natalie.
•In the final product, we don’t really see what Nat’s POV of the plane crash is (other than her nightmare in 1x03 but I’m not sure if that actually happened or not?) but in the script she gets knocked unconscious and buried under a bunch of luggage and equipment and the other girls have to dig her out.
•Misty and Taissa are the ones to pry the exit door open for everyone to escape.
•Jackie doesn’t even try to save Van in the script, she just immediately runs over and tries to drag Shauna away from Van from the get-go.
“Jackie runs after Shauna and starts clawing at her, trying to get her to move toward the exit.”
•After Shauna and Jackie make it outside the wreckage, Jackie and Shauna “begin fighting angrily in the dirt, Jackie clearly still desperately afraid to remain so close to the fiery wreckage” as Shauna tries to go back in for Van.
•And I just thought this descriptor was a cute little addition; after Misty chops off Coach Ben’s leg, we get this line:
“And as we realize this little show called ‘Yellowjackets’ is sick, unexpected and awesome, we smash cut to—
MAIN TITLE”
•“Laura Lee trying in vain to hold and comfort a struggling, hyperventalating Javi.”
A nice little moment of Laura Lee comforting Javi as he’s trying to find his dad.
•”Jackie: For the record, I was trying to save you. I thought…
I was going to lose you. Jackie bites her lip, a little teary. Shauna glances at her and nods, I know—but we also get the sense that Van isn’t the only one judging Jackie right now.”
A little Jackie/Shauna moment. You can see how much Jackie loves Shauna, but Shauna is still conflicted over Jackie’s choice to leave Van behind.
•Some things Caligula says when Natalie breaks into Misty’s house:
“Hello, pretty lady!”
“Hells bells! My dogs are barking!”
Love this.
•The information Misty has in her secret file: articles and magazine covers about the crash, press clippings, a local wedding announcement for Shauna and Jeff, Taissa’s campaign flyer, and a brochure for Natalie’s rehab clinic.
•When Nat asks Misty why she has all of this information, Misty says:
“You guys are the most important people in my life.”
Just another reminder that Misty’s whole existence revolves around the Yellowjackets, even after 25 years.
•Nat is hyper focused on looking at Travis’s drivers license in the bar scene when Kevyn walks up to her. She totally ignores Kevyn, just focused on Travis’ picture. She is described as looking “pale” and “like she’s seen a ghost.” Just shows how hung up Nat is on Travis and how much that relationship fucked her up.
•Misty says “Holy macaroni” when she sees Coach Martinez’s body. Insane.
•Okay brace yourselves for this one guys, in the script Coach Martinez is STILL ALIVE when they find him impaled on the tree.
“The coach’s eyes pop open. He suddenly grabs Travis. Eyes wild with pain and fear, the coach tries to speak but only makes raspy sounds as blood bubbles at his lips.”
“Travis: Dad! Let go!”
Travis’s dad won’t let go and there’s a scene where Travis is trying to claw him off of him, then the tree branch cracks and Travis shakes his dad off of his arm, “knows it’s his dad or the both of them” and the tree branch falls.
Wow. As if the scene that ended up making it in the final product wasn’t traumatic enough, Travis has to actively let his dad fall to his death when he’s still alive and desperately clinging to him? Ouch. I’m glad they cut that scene honestly poor Travis.
•Shauna is holding Javi and comforting him during and after this scene.
“We see Shauna still comforting Javi, we can’t hear what she’s saying but her body language is very giving—a maternal streak she didn’t know she had.”
Love the nod to Shauna’s maternal nature here. She’s naturally very nurturing and caring, but after she loses her baby she becomes more cold and distant with her other child, Callie, in fear that she will lose her too. I just love seeing the before and after here, we get to see what Shauna was like before all of the trauma. Shauna wants to nurture Callie, it’s a natural part of her personality as this scene with Javi shows, but she can’t get too attached after what happened in the Wilderness.
•In the adult timeline, there’s another deleted scene in which Nat drives to Shauna’s house and spies on her from outside.
“She seems to be fighting an impulse to get out of her car, but her feelings are unclear. Does she look uneasy? Vindictive?”
Another hint the conflict between these two that we still haven’t seen yet? Maybe this is lingering resentment from Shauna challenging Nat’s leadership as the new Antler Queen?
•When Nat hands Travis her flask to drink from after the whole Coach Martinez incident, there’s this line:
“She wants to tell him there is nothing he could have done. How guilt like this is poison, and if he’s going to blame himself she will punch him in the face”
I think this is clearly a nod to Nat’s own guilt around her father’s death. She knows that Travis is likely tearing himself apart inside because she did the same thing after her father’s death. She blamed herself, as Travis is doing now. Also love the punching him in the face line, it’s very on-brand for Nat and honestly wish she had punched him in the face a few times when he deserved it.
*1x03 and 1x04 notes to come!*
