flirt!reader who has somewhat of a reputation in gotham—constantly in relationships—a chronic coquet. you’re fun, you’re interesting, and above all, you’re a lover. you’re just a romantic misunderstood by the press and general public…
…until you meet DICK GRAYSON. similarly monikered—a playboy, of the billionaire variety—he’s the first person in all of gotham to understand you. to pass zero judgement upon meeting your fourth date that month, to giggle with you as lead conversation at parties, and to match your frequent headlining romantic blunders.
though, that’s not what dick and you would call them. necessary evils, maybe, blunders—never. instead, the pair of you referred to all failed relationships as stepping stones. you learn from person to person, “gathering intel.” grayson will smile.
but sometimes—when gotham social events grow too taxing, bleary, or greedy—you’ve found yourselves pulling away from the crowds, your dates, security, drivers, and media. sometimes it’s a few drinks on a rooftop, other times it’s processed food and wine coolers at his place. it’s…sweet. in a way you’ve never tasted before, you almost crave it when he’s gone.
towing the line between reassurance and utter devotion to eachother is frequent within your friendship. you’re two reflecting pools of unprecedented levels of love, both searching relentlessly for the one. that one romance that’s gonna stick—it’s a strange religion to be subscribed to, but both of you are.
and that’s the pleasant part about it, that you’re not alone. that someone else in the world, in gotham, has the capacity to hunger for it the way you do.
but that’s also the most dangerous part. because the longer you orbit each other, the harder it becomes to ignore the way your worlds have begun to collide. the way your stepping stones are less about ‘gathering intel’ these days and more about passing time.
sometimes, you’ll be at a gala or a dimly lit lounge—seated beside your latest conquest—but you’ll catch dick’s eye from across the room. leaning into his date, flashing a signature grin, but his gaze flickers—just for a moment—to you. and in that split second, it’s like the whole room vanishes. like the two of you are the only ones who truly understand the strange script you’re acting out.
it’s intoxicating, this unspoken thing. this quiet knowledge that neither of you have voiced, because why would you? what you have is easy, comfortable. there’s no need to risk it for something it isn’t, something uncertain.
but then, in the quieter moments—when you’re sitting on his couch, legs tucked beneath you, half a wine cooler forgotten in your hand—he’ll say something that just about makes your breath catch. something about how maybe love is about timing, about knowing when to stop looking. and you’ll hum in agreement, staring at the way the light catches in his eyes, playing it off as expert listening.
because if you say it—if either of you acknowledges the real reason you keep coming back to eachother—then everything changes. and neither of you are quite ready for that. not yet.

⋆⁺₊⋆ ☾ Random Astrology Observations 𖤓 ⋆⁺₊⋆
Note: Since you guys have been requesting more astrology posts, I decided to make a small random astrology observations <3 I hope you guys like it! I might do more eventually!
Tumblr media
⋆⁺₊⋆ Sun Scorpio 8th House
People with this placement are all that we can expected from a sun scorpio. they are deep, intense, and their personality is very adaptable to their environment. Often people either are super admissive or them, or hate them all together. They make such good listeners and most of them have good prospects in psychology. They have a good and strong intuition, unfortunately I have noticed they are also people who go through a lot of traumas that shape their way of being.
⋆⁺₊⋆ Moon Gemini 3rd House
They are people who are often addicted to social media or enjoy the thought of becoming an influencer of some short. Also these people are just so clever and they have talent in communicating with people. often extroverts. They are amazing writers, poets, artists in general. Moon swings tho are no kidding and can become issues
⋆⁺₊⋆ Mercury Capricorn in 10th House
Some people might not like them because they appear as super serious, super rigid and structured with their life but they are smart and complete. This placement makes people serious, with the capacity to become leader, specially in politics, business or just like ceo works In general. you can always count on them.
⋆⁺₊⋆ Venus Pisces 7th House
Their delulu is greater than anyones, the way they love is so soft, so deep, so idealistically. They enjoy people who are romantics, who are beautiful, deep eyes and also who have artistic sides (depending on other placements they can be themselves very artistic like). The downside I have noticed with these people is that they struggle with boundaries in their relationship, because the are compassionate and also unable to say no. they believe in greater good and fixing
⋆⁺₊⋆ Mars Aries 1st House
I never saw people more energetic than them, it's like they were born with charging in their butt. they are just very competitive and bold which often can make them easily go on fights or get in troubles for their behavior. Even if they are highly driven and never give up they are also so impulsive and their anger issue is no joke
⋆⁺₊⋆ Jupiter Sagittarius 9th House
They have a very interesting philosophy of life and despite being a controversial placement, they are quite interesting to hear and learn from. These people also love traveling, they are curious, they need to see the world, to live through new cultures. Honestly, they are probably one of the most interesting people.
⋆⁺₊⋆ Saturn Cancer 4th House
I often noticed that people with that placement might have a very tough childhood (restrictive, lack or absence of a parent, divorces or other family issues that have disturbed the dynamics). Yet they are often responsible and their family becomes a responsibility to them. a lot of transgenerational trauma as well.
⋆⁺₊⋆ Uranus Aquarius 11th House
To me they are sooooo annoying because they see themselves as the typical "revolutionary thinker", they have a need to leave the social norms, to be extra open minded and progressive in order to find their place in the world. they often feel frustrated with their life. usually they are involved in activism or tech innovation.
⋆⁺₊⋆ Neptune Libra 5th House
Their talent I say opinion so underrated, they are such romantic at hearts and they often show their devotion through art (all types). they are creative, they are imaginative but also they are so damn beautiful? one thing I noticed too is that people with this placement often have affairs or struggle with affairs in their love life.
⋆⁺₊⋆ Pluto Virgo 6th House
hypochondriacs as they are sooo obsessed with their health, the way they look, their improvement and their efficiency. often they have low self esteem and tweak hard when they arent able to achieve something they worked toward. I noticed people with this placement often suffer from different types of OCD's and are psychorigide with their approach in life and their routine.
⋆⁺₊⋆ North Node Leo 2nd House
People with this placement are just so talented in different part of their life (depending on the Jupiter and Vesta placements). They struggle embracing confidence and finding their self-expression. If I have an advice is to tell you that with this placement, to achieve success and your life purpose, you need to step in the spotlight and build self worth through hard work
⋆⁺₊⋆ Chiron Taurus 12th House
People with this placement struggle a lot with three things. self worth, has they have often low self esteem and some even can develop unhealthy eating habits; material security as many can be in situations where money is a sensitive topics and finally, sensual pleasures as some of you depending on other placements, can use sex has a way to deal with trauma or hurt. Healing comes through spiritual practices, letting go of past pain, and learning self-acceptance.
⋆⁺₊⋆ Lilith Aries 8th House
Honestly, its such a powerful, intense, and magnetic presence and the people with this placement know it and they give femme fatal or dark romance like man. they may experience taboo desires when its related to their sexual life, plus they have a deep sexual energy. but that also makes them struggles in intimate relationships
⋆⁺₊⋆ Midheaven in Gemini
If you have this placement let me tell you that you could have such a successful career in the areas of communication, media, teaching and networking. these people are naturally adaptable and may have multiple careers or interests throughout their life which makes them versatile people.
⋆⁺₊⋆ Venus Leo 12th House
These people often have secret relationships or like relationships were emotions are a complicated topic when it comes to express themselves as they have a deep fear of being vulnerable. it also shows a deep need of being admired, of being loved which becomes tricky because the leo influence also makes them fearful of being truly see by a partner, and often leads with loneliness in love.

First of all, you're talking about a very specific political critique, while most of the actual criticism has nothing to do with that.
Personally, I know very little about American politics, so I’ve never criticized the show on that basis. The show has its own internal city politics, which were established in the official game lore. I know the official lore, which is why my expectations for this aspect were completely different. This has nothing to do with the real world.
Secondly, my main criticism is about the writing. Arcane didn’t win its writing award.
Here’s what I’m criticizing: the characters have forgotten their own motivations from Season 1. Viktor’s arc is a blatant retcon—his motivation was death, not disease. The show always tackled social issues and inequality, but in Season 2, those themes were erased. The dialogue was drastically reduced. The creators chose the "show through animation, don’t tell" approach, but you can’t use it in every situation—otherwise, we’re just left staring at Caitlyn’s microexpressions. Vi’s dialogue was cut by 60% compared to Season 1. That’s not how good storytelling works.
Is it because of the episode count? No, because Season 1 managed it just fine. Instead, the writers crammed in too many music video sequences, which anyone can interpret however they want, and which often fail to convey the characters' thoughts and relationships.
The pacing is breakneck, making serious decisions feel unearned—especially Viktor’s, which change every five seconds. He becomes a god and loses faith in his vision all in one day.
Jinx’s "revolution" basically didn’t happen.
Pacifist Viktor suddenly decides to team up with Ambessa and considers it the right choice. And Ambessa, a brilliant warrior and strategist (as established in Act 1), agrees to a highly questionable alliance with someone she can't control.
The weapons conflict between Viktor and Jayce, which was a major theme in Season 1, is completely dropped. Why? Because Jayce fell into a pit and broke his leg. As if that somehow helps him understand Viktor, who lived with a disease, was dying from it, and was part of the lower class that no one cared about.
The core dynamics of the show—family relationships and social inequality—shifted to a Marvel-style formula with lots of action and a big bad villain.
See? It’s not about real-world politics. It’s about how it was written.
Moving away from writing: Viktor’s original lore was far more complex and morally engaging. He was never purely evil or just a victim of magical manipulation. Turning him into an "evil god" is an incredibly dull choice. Of course, you might not know this if you haven’t read the original lore.
Caitlyn poisoning the city? Completely brushed aside.
We have two "women in freezer"—Sky and Isha. This is one of the worst, most lazy, and disgusting writing choices. Cheap, especially for Sky, who was already treated this way in Season 1.
Viktor’s time loop raises countless unanswered questions.
Episode 207 is pure fanfiction, eating up screen time for the sake of the Time Bomb ship. It serves no narrative purpose. We don’t even see how Ekko talked Jinx out of suicide. Why? Because it happens off-screen. And ask yourself—why is it off-screen? Because the writers had no actual dialogue for that moment.
Now the most interesting part. I watched the leaks. Dialogues were rewritten and cut at the last moment! This means the writing was incredibly raw. They were re-recording lines just months before release. Sevika’s lines were cut from the final episodes.
And while I can accept Act 1 with all its flaws, Act 3 is a disaster.
As a standalone Marvel-style show? Maybe 8/10. But as Arcane’s second season—compared to Season 1’s writing, storytelling, themes, and character arcs—it’s really bad.
I feel sorry that so many of you aren’t trying to analyze these issues. That you think slowing the show down and staring at the characters’ facial expressions is the right way to understand their shifting motivations. I feel sorry that you don’t see the obvious difference between Season 1 and Season 2. But it’s there. Otherwise, there wouldn’t be so much criticism. And that criticism has nothing to do with real-world politics.
The first season never received this much criticism and for good reason. It was simply better written.
People don't understand that we criticize s2 because we genuinely love s1 and we were disappointed. basically what speaks to us is the grief of losing potential or “what could it be…” it's not the same as being a hater

Day 14: Favorite Couple
Uh...
Tumblr media
It's right on the tin? Sure, the moniker "family" applies to the dynamics between not mom, not dad, and not daughter as a whole, but such a model of family is still contingent on selling to the world the marriage aspect of the equation. So it's no exaggeration to say if this relationship didn't work on some level to push the narrative forward the entire manga wouldn't work either. And since we're all here, you can take a guess of how good the execution has been so far. I've mentioned before how the dynamics of the Forgers are the most interesting in light of what they bring out of each other, and it's specially true when talking about these two. Moreso because it's evident how much these facets are new even to themselves.
Tumblr media
Twilight, out of necessity, has always been a suave jack of all trades that can seduce any woman required for the sake of completing the mission, always in duplicitous relationships where the entire goal was navigating the ulterior motives of those involved in a network of emotional manipulations for shady gains. The sex, the romantic conversations, they were always a code for him to decipher, a means to an end. So seeing a woman who can actually understand him on some level while also wearing her heart on her sleeve is completely disarming for him, her emotional straightforwardness demanding to understand her on sincere terms, thus slowly but effectively cracking the armor he built over a decade of shady works and getting him to unadvertedly show her his true self bit by bit even before he can realize it's happening.
Yor isn't caring because she wants to exploit anything about his Loid persona, she's just naturally a loving person and makes him feel safe in ways he hasn't allowed himself to be since he was a child. The end result is as simple as a man who's been using people's emotions as tools while trying his best to detach himself from his own is now presented with the chance to allow himself to feel again. Plus, it's a delight to see the world's best spy suddenly blush like a teenager experiencing his first crush when he lightly brushes his fake wife's hand. He's REALLY not used to actual love.
Tumblr media
On Yor's side of the equation, she finds a pillar of support and safeness with Loid that isn't related to the idea of "being protected". She can take care of that plenty, but the safeness she feels comes from a different place: being accepted and understood for who she is. As Ostania's mightiest assassin, Yor's life up to that fateful meeting had her isolated from her peers, being an outcast who didn't have the means to shape her life the way she wanted by virtue of choosing to supply for Yuri at the cost of her childhood. She's unmatched in her abilities with a blade, but the extent of her skills outside of that are limited at best, and when it comes to socializing even the comraderie you form over a cup of cofee was alien to her. Thus her emotions were often bottled up, her aloof exterior scaring people away from the lonely person benath.
So seeing this stranger that she barely talked to for the sake of a convenience agreement being willing to take her side from a place of understanding, to think the best of her in the pressence of completely debasing rumors was the light amidst the darkness she didn't know she needed.
Tumblr media
Moreover, Yor is incredibly self conscious of her perceived lacks. In spite of her stunning beauty she never thought much of her physical appearance, thinking of her hands as soiled by the blood covering them, and all the skills she never got to hone in often make her feel inadequate in light of social expectations.
Loid's reassurance of those skills not determining her worth, and how her loving self connecting with children being of irreplaceable value have allowed her to be that more confident in herself, to feel proud of those qualities she has, even wishing to be relied upon. In turn, this allows her to shine the warm self she always had beneath the cold exterior and allows her to connect with others, including those she didn't get along with at first.
Tumblr media
They might still hide a hell of a lot from each other, but at a fundamental level they created such a genuine emotional connection and bring the best out of the other so much it's basically impossible to not root for them becoming a real couple. When not even the inclusion of a so called love rival character does so much as slightly pivot the bulk of fanart and fanfics outside of the dominant ship (save for the odd piece here and there), it's clear the dynamics were completely NAILED day one.

S14 Finals
surely this bromance won’t alter the course of history
Brat is a spoiled prince with the world’s most homicidal family drama. Sun comes from the lowest social class in their society, but wants to be recognized for his skills as a warrior. They meet when Sun crashes a royal event, and Brat almost immediately decides to gift him an entire kingdom. The two go on to become die-hard loyal friends. Brat often seeks Sun’s approval, and Sun is the only person who can talk sense into him when he’s being particularly dramatic and/or evil. Sun thinks he can fix Brat, but Brat arguably makes Sun worse.
Over the course of the story, they commit many atrocities together and their commitment to each other was arguably one of the major contributing factors to the war that ended Brat’s entire dynasty :)
I Went To A Magic University And All I Got Was This Ambiguously Doomed Yuri
The two meet in university, with Rhyme rescuing Reason when she is trapped. Reason is very grateful to her, and Rhyme is smitten immediately. Despite their differences in aesthetics and academics (Rhyme being a fashionable bard failing her classes and Reason being a straight-A necromancer with bizarre hats), the two have much in common. They are both awkward, with strained family relationships and a small group of friends. Although Rhyme is initially put off from confessing on account of feeling like she’s not good enough, she eventually blurts it out. The two start dating, with Rhyme organizing the whole music department to accompany her prom-posal.
However, things soon take a turn. In the process of completing a powerful ritual, Reason dies and has to be resurrected. She is deeply shaken by this, agonizing over when her time will be up for good. Over winter break, she allows herself to he turned undead, thus removing her mortality. Next semester, Rhyme notices her caginess over what she’s been up to, and reads Reason’s mind. She only gets to feelings of shame before panicking and breaking off the connection. She blurts out what she’s done, and begs Reason to confirm if her hunch of what occurred is correct. This sets off a string of arguments between the two, with Reason asserting that she made what was the best decision for herself. She is defensive, Rhyme is pushy.
When Rhyme is threatened by a monster, Reason saves her, in the process, confirming her undead nature. Rhyme is grateful for the save and says that she’ll try harder to trust Reason. Despite this, she is deeply apprehensive and fearful. What will happen to Reason? Will this corrupt her? Will she come to deeply regret her decision. Rhyme doesn’t know and, in truth, neither does Reason. Only time will tell…

Marcus Volturi with young S/O-mate, I’m talking like early 20s and how he feels about it.
Like how he goes about courting them, and how Marcus would be with an awkward gen z S/O-mate.
I’m taking awkward in a sense of love and displaying love.
Sorry if this doesn’t make sense😂
Please feel free to ignore 😭💗
i absolutely love this idea, also I'm very sorry to the anon who asked for this, they have been waiting almost a year for this.
Marcus is patient by nature, especially with someone younger and more awkward in expressing love. He understands that his S/O might need time to navigate their feelings and the dynamics of their relationship. He’ll take a slow approach, allowing them to set the pace.
Marcus is not one for grand, flashy displays of love. Instead, he shows his affection through small, meaningful gestures. He might bring them their favorite book or share classical music that he knows they’ll enjoy. He often finds ways to connect through their interests, showing that he pays attention.
Given Marcus's long life and vast knowledge, he enjoys deep conversations. He encourages his S/O to share their thoughts and ideas, making them feel valued and heard. He appreciates their unique perspective and often finds joy in discussing topics that may be important to them.
Marcus finds his S/O’s awkwardness endearing. He takes their fumbles in expressing affection in stride, often smiling gently or chuckling softly when they stumble over their words. He might even tease them lightly, but always in a loving way to help them feel more comfortable.
He ensures that his S/O feels safe around him. He’s aware that their generation might have different anxieties and pressures. Marcus is a calming presence, offering reassurances and support, which helps them feel more confident over time.#
While he may not fully grasp the nuances of social media, Marcus is willing to learn. He might ask his S/O to explain memes or trends, and he’d try participating in their online world, even if it’s just to understand them better. He might even share a few vintage photos of himself, trying to connect through humor

One claim I often see Tony fans making is that Steve was being selfish for not "considering children born during the Snap" in the team's desire to bring everybody back.
Tumblr media
This is obviously a form of emotional blackmail After all- how could *anybody* want to erase *billions* of children?
Well, this claim is wrong for a number of reasons
1: There is no evidence of large-scale births or an increasing birth rate during the Snap. Tony fans often say that there must have been millions and milions of children born during the Snap, but this makes no sense because, as a general rule humans do not simply "get over" losing their entire family an "move on".
Even losing one child can be an emotional blow that person never recovers from. Clint Barton lost all 3 of his children, and we know he did not simply "move on" and start a new family.
People do not simply recover from such things in a few years and create new families. It almost never happens.
Furthermore, population dynamics come to play: some planets lost as much as 3/4 of their population due to Thanos pre-Snap genocides.
Even for those who lost "only" half though this would mean half of all birthing females and existing children snapped.
Fewer birthing females means..... a lower birth rate. Also take account of things like infertility and the fact that some women who lost thier children would have been beyond childbearing age: notable case - Queen Ramonda.
Even assuming people were interested in relationships and reproduction (and most were not) the birth rate during the Snap would have been expontentially lower then it was before.
Real life disasters and catastrophes also reveal that it takes a long time for the population to recover. The Black Death killed 1/3 to 1/2 of the population of Europe in the Middle Ages- and it took something along the lines of 3 to 4 centuries for the population to reach the level that it had been before the plague struck.
Literally: it can take HUNDREDS of years for the population to recover. The idea that the world would have returned to normal after only 5 years is ludicrous.
2: The children killed by the Snap.
Half of the human race were snapped. This would have included children. Potentially hundeds of millions of children were killed by the Snap. This is far more than the number who who have been born during the Snap.
There's another issue however: many children would have died after the Snap.
Sick children whose parents or doctors were snapped and were unable to get the medical treatment they needed
Young children whose parents were snapped would have died within a few days if nobody found them.
Children in poorer countries would have been the first to succumb to things like famines and food shortages caused by the Snap.
However, children in rich countries would have followed. Food shortages and the breakdown of intractructure would have caused problems witht the availability of food and medical supplies. Diseases would have become more common without the medicines to keep them in check, and poor sanitation.
In other words, potentiallly hundreds of millions more children would have died after the Snap in addition to those who had been Snappped.
None of those children would have been bought back by Bruce's Snap in Endgame. They would have stayed dead. All because of Tony's selfish insistence that he "didn't change anything from the last 5 years".
So, no matter how Tony fans want to try and twist things: Tony Stark was quite prepared to sacrifice *hundreds of millions* if not billions of children for the sake of his desire to preserve his personal paradise.
He did not, in fact, "save everybody" at all. He saved only those bought back after the Snap and ... not really even them as they had to contend with years of social and economic problems.
You know what the most interesting irony of it all is though? Tony fucked over all those people for nothing. Pepper was already pregnant before the Snap, so reversing it would not have erased Morgan anyway.

Hi! I love the way you interpret the books—you stick to what is canon, and it’s always great to see that.
I was wondering if you enjoy negative characters in the fandom while fully acknowledging that they are, of course, negative. I don’t justify their actions in any way, but I find them fascinating from a narrative and psychological perspective. Their motivations, dynamics, and the way they shape the story can be incredibly compelling, even if they are morally reprehensible (Voldemort, Bellatrix, Narcissa, etc…)
Do you also find some of them interesting in that sense?
I love characters who are terrible people, especially when the narrative doesn’t try to sell me that they’re good people, because they’re not, but at the same time, it shows that they’re human, and all humans can be terrible people or do terrible things, while also having a decent side. I mean, let’s take the Malfoys as an example, which in my opinion is the best: Are they horrible aristocratic elitists? Yes. Do they have a disgusting elitist mentality? Also yes. Do they invest their economic and social capital, as well as themselves, in movements that actively harm others? Totally. Are they terrible people? Of course, but that doesn’t mean they don’t have good qualities. Narcissa and Lucius are a couple that love each other, support each other, and above all, adore their son. Have they raised Draco terribly? No one denies that, but they love him. Draco is so confident and arrogant because his parents have given him a lot of self-assurance, and in fact, unlike Ron, who is TERRIFIED of the consequences his actions might have at home when Molly finds out, for example, Draco always shows a fascinating confidence in telling his father absolutely everything. Even in CoS, when Lucius complains that Draco’s grades are mediocre, Draco doesn’t seem offended or scared, he doesn’t see his father as a threatening figure; he’s just ANNOYED because Lucius said it publicly. That shows that his parents have given him enough confidence to tell them all his problems and have the assurance that they’ll always help him. Is that spoiling him? They spoil him in many ways, certainly, but at the same time, it’s quite positive for a child to feel they can tell their parents everything, whether it’s positive or negative, and we know Draco does this because it’s mentioned repeatedly in the series. Does that make the Malfoys better people? Well, no, as people, they’re terrible, but being a terrible person in one aspect of your life doesn’t mean you’re going to be terrible in everything. You can be a terrible, tyrannical boss and then be an amazing boyfriend. You could have had a terrible relationship with someone who thinks you’re the devil for how things ended, and then your next partner could think you were the best ex they ever had. You can have terrible political ideas and then love your family a lot. I’m sorry, but you can be the boss of a cartel that has literally killed dozens of people and have been a wonderful father, one thing doesn’t negate the other.
I’m very interested in this duality in characters, how some people can really have two faces, or what leads someone to commit a crime, or what happened for someone to end up on the wrong side. I like complex characters, although I prefer morally gray ones over villains. The problem is that most characters in Harry Potter are either darkened or whitewashed narratively. I’m not being picky about this because in the end, it was initially a story for children that later evolved into a young adult story, but still… meh. I mean, I think more could have been done with Bellatrix, I think Voldemort could have been explored better, I think Rowling was obsessed with selling us her moral framework for things. Honestly, I prefer books with multiple points of view where you decide if you like a character or not, but not because the author wants you to like or dislike them, but because you’ve had several versions - even the character’s own - and you can get a general idea of who they are and then decide.
But yes, of course, I’m generally more interested in morally questionable characters, I’ve always found them more interesting than heroes. As Tolstoy said, 'All happy families are alike, but every unhappy family is unhappy in its own way,' which implies that if there’s no conflict, there’s no story, because there’s no drama, and without drama, the story is flat. And for there to be drama, there have to be problems, and heroes never create problems.

What's your opinions on Blue?
my basic answer is that she is my close personal friend.
my more thought-out answer is that I will always defend her addition to the franchise. I am personally very pro having charismatic “character” dinosaurs because that’s honestly just how animals are. intelligence, as we measure it, is HIGHLY associated with social behavior (see: dolphins, orcas, chimps, parrots, crows, etc etc). captive raptors bonding with humans in this universe is such an inevitable progression in the same way the stated animals bond with their handlers.
more specific to blue, she’s just a very Characteristic animal. “dog-like” is just such an unfair criticism she gets. she’s extremely opinionated and WILL act in her own best interest (such as leaving owen behind in FK). she’s ultimately such a wild animal. but she’s compelling by also having that complex social intelligence. take the scene where they turn on the indominus. when owen takes off the headgear, she understands that he is not using her as a Weapon therefore he is still her “father” (I refuse to say alpha. that’s not how pack dynamics work) who she can trust. wild animals can never truly be tamed (you can lovingly hand rear a chimp but in many cases they will still maim you) but it doesn’t mean nothing. specially to a socially complex animal.

Alright I got a New Head Canon for ya'll. I’m happy to talk about this in depth, but honestly this opens up a new sandbox for myself. This is petty light but I just… I hate how Kishi said Noble Clans and nothing came of it. Like dude.
Noble Clans:
Each Noble Clan houses several vassal clans that work within their clan compound. Thus making their compounds larger and more self-sufficient.
Vassals are the ones who farm, trade, do basic training for a standing defense force, and have a chance to join the shinobi forces. A lot of daily necessities for the general running of the clan. The vassals gain protection under the Noble Clan in return.
With the freedom of not having to devote so much time to daily surviving tasks, the Noble Clan has more time to train, take missions, and bring in money to the clan through alternate means. This also allows for the Clan to be able focus on skills for the betterment of the clan, and can employ more ways to hide the Clan Heads house.
The Triad is a bit unique as they have a close relationship, and all three are shinobi clans. They are able to function a bit more autonomously but still have the protection and luxuries of being vassals to the Akimichi Clan.
This will put heavy importance on Clan Head. For example: Madara Uchiha during WSE would be quite busy managing the finer points, such as finance, general day to day, missions and leading the Clan. While Izuna/Hikaku would be vital at dealing with other aspects such as training forces, intelligence networks etc.
So looking at the relationship between Hashirama and Madara and why Madara doesn’t accept peace, is because their clans aren’t equal in status. The elders and likely Madara himself, would see Hashirama trying to rise above their station and reap the benefits without being a vassal. From our understanding the Senju likely wouldn’t understand this. So the Senju could see the Uchiha as just looking down at them, vs this is a status and societal thing they just don’t know. So Hashirama’s claims of peace without substance would be seen as insulting.
Onto Izuna and Tobirama: Izuna doesn’t like Tobirama because he’s *smart*. He invents ways to be more efficient and Izuna believes he is inherently better, thanks to the Sharingan and his skills. So Tobirama always keeping up with him would be a bone of contention.

really liking fields of mistria's approach to romance so far. it's very reactive and reciprocal. i invited hayden to the star festival, now he flirts with and gets shy around my character. i expected there to be a few lines of flavor text the following day, the fact that whoever you invite develops a crush on your character is so cute. the game is tagged as a dating sim on steam, i'm glad the devs seem to be leaning into that.

Quick Falin analysis. Congrats on her going along with her loved ones’ wishes becoming explicitly canon and not subtext btw!
Tumblr media
Thinking of it, becoming a chimera and literally being puppeteered around by the will of the dungeon and its lord is such an… Explicit visualization of her demeanor in life of letting others’ wants and whims dictate what she does and where she goes. Shows the most extreme & worst version of it, of where that could lead her down the road. Dunmeshi loves often showing that with everyone, with the winged lion warping even the most selfless well-intentioned desire into something intense and destructive.
If Faligon is her retreating into that comfortable role of just on-pilot mode following what others want, that’d be an interesting angle too. Because we see like with the dragons fight at Thistle’s house that the monsters CAN act rebellious, meanwhile Falin was just so on board with the commands she got ever since she got transformed.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Chimera Falin doesn’t have a strong will? Oof
I do also think that Thistle is something that her nursing reflexes latch onto easily, when it comes to comforting and protecting others. It’s unsure how much of her is dormant as Faligon, or how being bound to the dungeon and the dungeon lord’s will affects her, but it’s undeniable that she acts with care when it comes to Thistle. On one hand, she fights ferociously for him, when protecting him or even just sent out to scout, but you can’t really say she’s being assertive either, not when she doesn’t complain or act when he eats all the berries and she’s hungry. She’s still that silent, sidelined guardian, only now very, very literal.
Tumblr media
I never bought the angle that chimera Falin mostly represented her repressed anger at the world personally, like yes now she’s loud and big and imperfect, but again, socially she falls into the same pitfalls, it’s just that now she’s top dog, below just one person, and so she’s allowed to be aggressive with everyone else. If anything, it’s the dragon soul pushing her to want more, making her act out, giving her a taste of how it feels to be powerful, carefree and impossible to oversee, but it couldn’t be called catharsis I think. In general, she seems more passive with a "as long as I have what I love, everything else can go burn for all I care" mentality rather than actively(or repressedly) angry to me. Not that she couldn’t have complex feelings over being lonely and cast out either of course, but personally I never got the sense that she resents the world or society at large. I do feel like the dogs treating her like she was at the bottom of the hierarchy also shaped her a lot
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Not only cast out by other kids and classmates, but also treated as someone that can be disrespected and roughened up by the dogs at home. She was really pushed into that go with the flow, make yourself scarce and quiet attitude. She’s never really been allowed to hope for better, or to have a dream of her own, her life path being decided for her by others. Besides with Laios, everything she learned everywhere in group dynamics was that she was at the bottom and should be content with whatever others gave her. Maybe that’s why she was so forgiving of her parents too, because at least, to some degree they did care and didn’t want to cut contact, and she takes what she can get.

Thank you @thatsmimi for the fantranslation of the new leaked content, the opening and ending pictures in this post. Their original post about it is here, and as mentioned it is not the official translation.
