I just want to say it's been delightful watching you get into One Piece. It's been one of my main fandoms for years, but most of the people I was following who posted about it moved on to other things and I didn't have the energy to try to find new ones, so my dash has been pretty empty of it and I mostly just kept up with the anime/manga and not much else. Your enthusiasm for it, and all the art you've been posting and reblogging, has been a highlight of my days. I have a One Piece fanfic I've been trying to finish for years, and I've felt more like writing it in the past week or so than I have in a very long time (haven't actually managed it yet, but maybe soon, I hope). I’m glad you’re enjoying the sudden OP onslaught! Part of me always worries, but it IS my blog and I enjoy slapping a bunch of funny pirates on my metaphorical fridge, glad you’re getting a kick out of it too! Perks of a media about as old as me too is that there’s sooooo much content to dig through, it’s very fun! yeah, i seem to have an issue keeping muses with nice personalities. like they bore me or something if there's no additional twist or crazy partner to bounce off of from the start, so they drop off pretty fast.

i think i gravitate towards muses with "little shit" energy inside them....

i mentioned a couple here but i also realize now i can't stick with static muses. like they need to have somewhere to go, or some character development to DO to make it interesting cause i like to watch them change as I RP them

with canon muses that either means picking someone who can be flexible in characterization, a side character who has more blank space to change, or a series that leaves interpretation open to the reader. maybe that's why i stuck with swordboys for so long???

scottish council logos hell judgment day part 1

there’s 32 of them so I’m not putting em all in here, Especially since there’s alternate/older versions of certain logos that just. really need to be addressed.

If you want to block this little series of rants, block ‘scottish council logo rant’ and that should hide it away from your dash.

Disclaimer: all of this is humorous and also based on my own sensibilties as someone with lots of arts training including some graphic design/ logo design.

Also disclaimer: I have favourites. I will not change this.

SO. We begin.

1- Aberdeen City

it’s..... well, it’s fine. Nothing really wrong here. Can’t really offend with a wee heraldic crest and a simple sans serif font. Spacing’s nice, readable, pleasant dark green colour. 6/10 cause the griffins should have wings imo

2- Aberdeenshire

the weird little A looks like the feeling you get going through a road tunnel late at night, and you’re sleepy and your parents didn’t buy McDonalds and it’s 2 and a half hours til you get home.

5/10. I hate the sonic the hedgehog colour but it’s otherwise inoffensive.

3- Angus Council

OHOHO THIS IS NARSTY. the wiggles? (I think it’s maybe water?) the horrific gradient? the lurid blue and eye-burning green giving me really lazy glitchcore palette inspiration? Angus, you have outdone yourself, this is minging 100%.

8/10 for sheer disgustingness, and audacity. Gotta give this bitch credit for the confidence.

4- Argyll and Bute

... wowie zowie. Again with the horrible blue/green eyestrain thing, which makes the word ‘council’ in white so so unreadable. At least Angus up there was against a white background so it was readable. I do like the wee celtic cross used as the ‘and’ in Argyll and Bute, that’s very fun. The rest tho? oh no.

7/10 because Angus did it better. Do love that wee cross tho.

5- City of Edinburgh

okay I personally dislike this one and have always disliked it whenever I have encountered it in the wilderness (of Edinburgh). The font itself... fine, I suppose. Very quirky, very ‘look at me aren’t I cute?’ but ultimately no more offensive than any other font that’s trying a little too hard. The vaguely Roman vibe... suits, at least. Appropriate for the city. the choices of where the red and black go tho.... no.

4/10 because I personally hate it and they get docked three points for not having the little roman V/U thing going on in the text underneath. Come on, commit to the bit.

6- Clackmannanshire

wee clackie’s fine, look at him. Also their motto is ‘look aboot ye’ which is in reference to the fact you can basically see all of Clackmannanshire from any given spot in the region.

10/10 look at him. wee lad. Simple, effective, fits the bill.

7- Comhairle nan Eilean Siar

oh this is a good one. means business, the font’s maybe a bit not-well spaced but the IMPACT, lad. And the boat. You know this is the council of the western isles, and not just because it’s the only one entirely in Gaelic. :D

10/10, I love this one for just how it essentially gives you nothing and everything. Go on yersel queen you’re doing great.

8-Dumfries and Galloway

I. You ruined it. I was getting a streak of 10′s going. It’s not the most offensive design but it really feels like it tried something and did not hit the mark. At least it is largely readable even if the D/G faux celtic script font logo thing is fuck ugly and a bit hard to work out at a glance.

5/10. Hardly the worst but I still hate it. And not in a fun way.

POST SESSION 1 DLDND CHARACTER THOUGHTS

holy SHIT y’all the hiatus is over w a long ass session to start us off. i passed out so hard post session but now. i have things to say abt peoples characters and im going to say them. plus an added pronoun check for my own memory. this is a long post so ill pop it all under da cut. tldr at the end 2

IZZY | ALASTRELLE (they/he)

i LIKE THEM. i like them. i was very eyes emoji at their intro and im rly excited to see a druid. i have a feelin that theres a lot more 2 alastrelle than meets the eye but im not rly sure what. we got an insight check that he seems to know more than hes letting on... but like. idk. i have a feelin that theyre more like... they know stuff but not in a malicious way? mayb im bein 2 optimistic and alastrelle is just waiting 2 absolutely decimate every1. they DID heal ma’el tho so like... i think they do not want this. they seem kind. i want 2 know more.

CADILLAC | R-D 2.04 (pronouns unknown - seems to vary)

everybody is so mean 2 me image. r-d is rly. look. i love them but i also hate them. he’s so fuckin funny but also.... gestures broadly at the last hour of the session. she seems 2 b tha only character built 4 outright combat. at least from what weve seen. it seems like a lot of the others went 4 classes that cld offer support (from my limited knowledge of the classes themselves plus dnd) whereas cadillac built (literally) a beast. she seems really cool and had some rly amazing moments first session. designated antagonist im super interested to see how every1 is going 2 interact w the person who drew 1st blood!! also tha character we got the most backstory 4 session 1. kinda dont blame it for the murders but. i dont want any pcs to die T_T

NOX | DOCTOR (PALL’OR) REMAEDI (he/him, okay with they)

HE’S COOL... the outfit is very wizardly but we know hes a cleric. am i right when i look at the ref art and see that hes purple. he is purple. he also shotgunned an unmentioned vial (WHY DID NO 1 ASK ABOUT THAT AUAUEUEGEUGH) and the rice and meat. chuggin ig. seems like... cautious? mayb suspicious but remarkably chill. well. i say chill. again. gestures at the last hour or so of the session. LUV the weapon design. would luv 2 see it do some more damage (see “r-d is built for combat” above. terrifyink). i want 2 know more abt his eyepatch and stitches and general deal. do we think hes an unethical doctor guys. would he kill u for like. fun.

CERIN | EIWN (she/her)

pretty lady. fllushed emoji. i love her design a lot its rly cool. i assumed she was druid bc of it but idk if pep would have allowed class double ups? plus cerin is bein v secretive... possibly monk? eye dee kay im rly just guessin at this point. shes so funny 2 the bit w the shelter being her height and alastrelle tryin 2 fix it secretly was great. i dont have much 2 say abt her yet but i think she will turn out to b EXTREMELY interesting. i kno 4 a fact cerin will say smth and then the dash will explode w how much we love eiwn.

RIVER | MA’EL(VAR) (he/him)

IS HE NORMAL??? squints. i dunno... intro was. suspicious. i did like him tryin 2 explain stuff to r-d that was kinda funny. he seems to b like... relatively level headed? i struggled to get a read on his personality except like... suspicious of others but wants 2 cooperate. clearly doesnt want 2 b here el oh el. HE DID ALMOST DIE 2 TIMES WITH NO IDEA WHAT WAS HAPPENING EL EM AY OH. i wonder how hes gonna react to that.

PEP | MIYM (she/her, okay with they)

MIYM MY FUCKIN BELOVED. kenku AND a bard? plus card themed LDFKJ. alto WISHES he could. the resume made me laugh sm and she generally just seems so nice... i like that she’s immediately forming more positive relationships w tha others... probably intentional on pep’s part as a filler character for the pair offs. i was wondering why they were getting such an outright dmpc and was wondering if she was gonna get killed early... i was real newvous. its cool tho. i like her a lot. very glad miym explained the whole premise 2. thank u from da audience i was a little like WHAT THE HELL. but in a good way

TL;DR - I LIKE THEM ALL. i think theres a LOT of things we havent touched (obvs. it was 1 session) but a lot of seeds and references to things wer made i think. also it looks like we got a lot of elves lol. im generally just rly excited 2 see them play again and having consensual and established pvp will make things VERY interesting. i wonder what the symbols on the like... bracelets/necklaces are 4. and what happens when someone dies.... do they both go to zero/make death saves? i guess we will see....

Omg omg omg. First of all, i love how your mind went straight to them taking over a castle, abd Greasy and Psycho having their own fun with the humans. I want to w r i t e all this out!!!

Also, since Shiny shares territory with them (she was perfectly happy with her underground cavern home, and thats why she didn't take over the castle herself. It's good for the winters, and it's a crystal cavern at that! She still stole from the humans tho-). So I'm just imagining that the night the dragon patrol took over the place, she's yelling out the entrance of her home like an old neighbor like "IT IS BEDTIME! KEEP IT DOWN!" She didn't give a shit about the humans, just that her sleep was being disturbed XD

Ahhhhhhuu!!!!! I'm so happy you love these dragons! Wheezy was also my favorite to figure out ^^ and I love the idea of Psycho being just so- so freaky looking. He's probably got sharp scales along his spine and tail, jagged sharp horns, I love it! And his horrific appearance only adds to my Pocho Beauty and the Beast heart. Poppy is the only one not afraid of him ^^ STUPID WILL HAPPY ACCEPT SNACKS! YOU KNOW IT! None of the others are happy with him, either because he's not doing his job or he's not sharing, but Stu doesn't care. He's snuggled up to you like a giant dumb puppy and nomming on whatever you give him. You have instantly become his best friend and gained his protection ... Since dragons can and will eat humans, I'm not sure if Stupid would think it's entirely gross... Just tell him that this is a bad man who hurt his nice princess friend and he won't mind at all.

OK FOR POPPY- GAH!!! You know I've been thinking of stuff for her and the dragon patrol XD here's what I got so far;

Childhood Friends AU, but with these guys!! Baby Princess Poppy found a tiny (sort of), strange scaly beast climb its way past the castle walls and into the gardens. He honestly didn't look too scary. He was just like a big lizard to her. And he can talk! So she can talk to him too! :D and Baby Dragon Psycho, he was looking for some food and was just wandering around. And now there's this tiny (actually tiny), soft squishy thing staring at him... But she's not screaming, like he's used to hearing from other humans. And she even shows him what she's holding; a spider she found! She's not scared of him, and she has food... He can stay a while. She could be fun ^^ and he keeps visiting her as long as he can for years, until her parents find out about him and have the guards chase him away. And make sure he can't come back. Sometime later, when he and his group are raiding this new castle, and he sees his now grown up friend, and remembers how kind she was and how much fun they had in the gardens, he decides he's taking a treasure of his own home.

A tad darker(?) For the first few weeks/months that they have her (while they're gaining an attachment to her and deciding that they're not gonna give her back as promised), the dragons decided that at least one of them has to stay with her at all times. Poppy prefers Stupid. He's big, but he's sweet and doesn't mean to hurt her at all. Wheezy is second. The smoke is nearly unbearable, but he also doesn't hurt her. Just makes sure she stays in one spot. Sometimes they even have conversations. Smartass is in third; he growls and orders her around, but as long as she doesn't try to push him or make a dash for the exit, that's the most she has to worry about. Psycho is fourth; Poppy can tell that there is something wrong with him, and frankly, she doesn't want to find out. His eyes unblinking and following her every move are bad enough. Greasy wouldn't be her choice; he doesn't hurt her, but he does scare her with what he says about her. Not to mention how he'll pull her very close...

Back to light-hearted; imagine that scene in Beauty and the Beast where Belle is tending Beasts wounds, but with Poppy and Smartass! Poppy tried to escape and almost got eaten by predators, or fell from the cliffside and almost landed in the sharp rocks, though Smartass caught her (saved her), though he's got his own wounds now. She got him back in their castle, and now she's trying to help heal him, and they start arguing! At first it was Smartass yelling at Poppy for being an idiot, but all the dragons are surprised to see the supposedly meek princess yell right back! (Look, she's been stuck with these assholes for god knows how long, no sign of her husband coming to rescue her, and she almost just died. She deserves this). But despite all their bickering, in the end, she still tells him one thing that really catches him off guard, "Thank you. For saving me."

Imagine that the reason why they grow attached to Poppy is because she's... Different. Yes, she's terrified of them. Yes, she hopes to go back home. But the way Poppy sees it, if she wants to live long enough to see home again (she wasn't happy there, but it was familiar there. This place is frightening and strange), she has to do whatever she can to not give them a reason to be angry at her. So, she does what she can around the castle that she thinks might appeal her to them. She sees Wheezy scratching his back against the wall, she offers to help peel his dead skin off. Smartass tells her to do something, she does it as best as she can. Psycho keeps staring at her, she'll look back and engage with him (at first she tried avoiding his gaze, though when he took amusement in that and tried to torment her more, she switched her tactics). Ok one final dark imagine. Imagine that Poppy tried to escape obe too many times, and the gang decided that if she wants to go 'home', then why not make home disappear? No punches are held back when the news is broken as was Snartass' intentions, and Poppy is left heartbroken and in shock. All those innocent people... Her home... There is nothing left, and it's her fault. (I'm just imagining Poppy breaking down and crying like Aurora did when she was told that she couldn't see Phillip again)

OK EVER SINCE YOU ANSWERED THE SAD SMARTY-POP EXCERPT, I'VE BEEN THINKING ABOUT DRAGON!TOON PATROL (and princess Poppy *cough*). Now that asks are open, I need to vent these thoughts.

I'm not entirely sure how they'd work in this AU. But all five of these dragons somehow found each other, and have decided its best to stay together. I can't decide if they hang around an abandoned, dilapidated castle or they've got a big cave in the mountains (maybe they could be the reason the castle was abandoned? 👀)

Smartass is the smallest dragon, but that only gives him more incentive to be as tough and viscious possible. It's how he can be the leader of these insane overgrown lizards.

Greasy is a sort of secondary leader, when for whatever reason Smartass isn't available to keep everyone in check. And even has been the mastermind behind some of their raids. One thing is for certain though; His tastes in the fairer sex go beyond scales (ladies? 👀)

Wheezy is the silent, scary one of the group with the best fire breather of them all. Dirty, kind of torn up, and smoke billowing from his mouth all times, this dragon's favorite places to terrorize/raid are tobacco farms (no cigarettes, but he can chew the stuff)

Psycho is the one who gets the most kicks out of striking fear in humans the most. While the others may be busy finding whatever goods that interest them in a village, Psycho can easily be found chasing the villagers.

Stupid, although the strongest and biggest, is the most easily swayed dragon out of them all. You could offer this big lug food, and he'll gladly take the bribe.

To keep with the gang theme, maybe these guys keep a few villages in line? If the people give them what they want, they'll be mostly left alone. (I'm not quite sure. I haven't though of much lore behind this AU 😅)

I'm not sure how Doom could come into play here. Maybe he could be a corrupt king that pays them to do his dirty work like in the Fairytale AU?

I don't have tid-bits for all the dragon boys, but here's one for Wheezy. I imagine that he can do some pretty neat tricks with his fire. Like blowing out certain shapes, or knowing how to control it where it won't burn you, but just leave a very hot tickle. Imagine him showing them off to you 👀

Alright, I wasn't sure if I should have included Poppy in this, but I feel obligated to share my thoughts XD Poppy is a princess who got married off to a prince who treats her coldly (Ben). When the dragons attacked her home, by some circumstance or another, she got taken (I'm not quite sure how yet. Maybe she was trying to be diplomatic and it all went wrong. Maybe it was Smartass just being cruel to the royals. Or maybe it was Greasy's idea because- you know why 🙄 or Psycho felt enamored with her). Either this can go in a classic Beauty and the Beast style, or a angsty/darker route.

Anyways, those are my thoughts! I hope dragon weasels bring you as much joy as they've been bringing me lately XD

Sorry for the late reply, I am finished with Placement but I still have assignments to finish and get before... well, the end of today 😅 Its okay though, I only have 2 left. I am very very excited to hear about dragons!!

First of all- YES to the idea of them causing a castle to be abandoned!! I can only imagine the chaos, but its glorious. These 5 terrifying, mean dragons deciding this place is their new place, and they have some fun with the humans there for a while (By which i mean Psycho and Greasy had fun with them... ) ... but when they escaped, that was fine, now they have the place to themselves! XD

Ahhhh! I love them!! || Smartass being kind of feral?? Like, I bet he's bigger then a human but he's smaller then the other dragons so he's so vicious-- that would be terrifying. I love that! || Greasy... Greasy lemme just quickly remind you I am a Certified monster fucker- || WHEEZY! Okay he is definitely my favourite. I'm imagining gassy, fumy smoke just slipping and rolling uncontrollably outta the corners of his mouth at all times, so he looks monstrous and gross. And just, the fact that you mentioned he'll chew the tobacco!! (Cowboy!!) and also the tricks! XD Yesssss, that's so cool XDD || OF COURSE you are the gremlin dragon, Psycho, of course XD I love this, its so perfect for him. I kindof imagine him to be a more lithe, lizard-like dragon. Creepy to be around, freaky to look at. Genuinely makes the hair on the back of your neck stand up. || Awwww Stupid!! He is my next favourite after Wheezy XDD I wanna feed him so bad!! Talon!Dick's hair is pretty soft once he's back with the batfam cause of more proper care!

Back with the court, he didn't have time to really do much other than keep himself clean, so he didn't have like, hair conditioner or anything like that other than some shampoo to wash his hair and all the other necessary stuff like soap/body wash etc, but we'll leave it at that since we're gonna do hair talk and some fluff! >:Dc

If you wanna touch his hair, depending on which time period you're thinking of, I'll list down a little progression so we get all the reactions! Hope this is fun to read!

Reactions to headpats:

Dick still with the Court of Owls - While here, the court is very sparse with physical affection, if there's any at all. At most, they only tell him "Good work," with a hand on his shoulder if he did something they deem as a job well done. Attempting to pat his head during this time, usually makes him tense and pull back a bit, mostly because a lot of time, physical contact had been unpleasant. When someone does pat his head, he's, at first, confused, and maybe a little cautious since he's unsure if there's any other intent behind the physical contact. He's like "...??" After confirmation that he's not going to get hurt, he'll eventually let himself relax into the touch and tries to enjoy it for as long as he can. He thinks it's nice and would love to get more even if he's pretty sure requesting this is out of the question. The court would not tolerate insignificant requests.

Back with Batfam - After months of recovery, Dick went from being very tense to physical contact to being able to completely fall asleep to someone petting his head or gently running their fingers through his hair. He'll probably ask for them himself too! Either through body language like scooting closer to someone with his head lowered, or being vocal about what he wants. He very much enjoys hugs too once he has adjusted back to life with the batfam and he's more than happy to return the hug!

Bonus! Imagine Cass playing with Dick's hair and leaving him with cute hair clips. Maybe It even become a little tradition where they trade hair clips every time they hang out! Or each of the batfam sometimes has leftover feathers from Dick hugging them with his wings.

IN SHORT: I think after some readjusting back into a more normal life, he's happy to receive and give hugs and head pats! For the Court era, he's a little reluctant to both, but he'll warm up!

Sorry for rambling haha, I like brain storming possible scenarios for this AU (*￣U￣)╭ Here's little treat for you. I'll leave this ambiguous to who's petting his head. Upon seeing a shift in their hand, Talon finds himself balling his fists, feathers bristling, and head lowering automatically for what usually came next, only for him to feel fingers carding through his hair gently. He blinks, once, twice, then gathers enough courage to look up and face the owner of the hand currently playing with his messy hair. This... is new...? He's pretty sure he's getting his head petted right now, and he's not sure what to do other than stand awkwardly and try not to fidget. The court almost never did this, and when they do, it usually came with some kind of degrading words. Should he do or say something? Maybe the latter isn't a good idea. Then there's a gentle voice coaxing him to relax, so with some reluctance and silent debate, Talon allows his shoulders to relax along with his body, wings shifting to a more comfortable position. The feathers smooth themselves as he's no longer on high alert for potential incoming attacks that... were never there in the first place. More reassuring words lull him under a blanket of calm, and he couldn't help but lean his head into the touch a little more with a sigh he had been unknowingly holding. If this is happening, might as well enjoy it while he can. It's... nice. Much more than anything he's ever felt. Talon's eyes drift shut to the slow strokes of the hand on his head, and he finds that he's not as tense as he was earlier. For once, he wasn't a weapon or an assassin armed to the teeth with knives and daggers while on a mission. Maybe he's home.

"Skeppy will probably cry" "Bad will probably cry". Bish, screw, that I am crying!!!

This whole thing was bloody gorgeous and I wasn't expecting that ending. I had no clue what ending to expect but that was definitely better than any I could have hoped for. Forest spirit to soulmate your honour!

I was terrified that you were gonna leave it at the point where he loses the spirit and becomes mortal again. If you had I would be actively sobbing!!!! And oh my god, the art!!! I still can't get over how wonderful your style is.

Imma ask fun things because if I don't I'll sit in a puddle of emotion all night:

What's the first tech thing Bad will buy and how annoying will he be about it? Poor Skeppy trying to answer 101 questions about something he doesn't really use XD.

Is no one concerned that the odd couple from a town they never name has a pet wolf??

Do they immediately go over to a different town or do they wander for a while. Find hidden creeks and befriend bears?

Does Bad still have a connection to nature and animals, like are creatures naturally more trusting of him?

Do they ever visit the og town again?

Does Skeppy still cause absolute chaos in other towns or has he learnt his lesson and only causes minor trouble now?

Does Bad ever try and study again? If he did what would he study and would Skeppy try to study as well?

Does Skeppy steal? I dunno, he just give off the vibe of a naughty lil trickster who'll pocket something if the owner refuses to sell it him.

Immediately after leaving the forest what the first 'argument' they have (not including the car one)?

Would they ever ride horse? If yes, how terrified would Skeppy be?

Skeppy falls outta tree. I don't know why but my mind keeps telling me that this man has great balance until he climbs trees. They are his mortal enemy and Bad finds this both hilarious and terrifying because he is going to hurt himself.

I had waaaaay more questions than I intended to have. My bad '^_^ but this story was way too much fun to read and you are entirely to blame for making it so engaging!

Make sure to take care of yourself and do stretches after and during drawing. You don't wanna hurt yourself <3

And I promised a nice ending for the main story, I did, and this one also makes the most sense narratively! For the story I wanted to tell, at least. Bad can’t really become human again, he’s changed to much. He can only move on, and do something with what he is, and has. And he did! :D That’s really nice and inspiring, this story will always have a place in my heart, heheh <3

Being a guardian spirit connected to a person and all, Bad may be not as strong as before, but he can’t die unless Skeppy dies first. And Skeppy can do that, but he’s pretty sturdy, and his lifespan operates on a whole other scale than human ones. And Bad knowing Skeppy’s real name balances it all out, makes them equal in the power and influence they have over each other.

So hellyeah, soulmates for the win :DDD

I’ll answer all questions under the cut, and this close up from one of the pages!

1) What's the first tech thing Bad will buy and how annoying will he be about it?

Probably a pager! Because it’s a more feasible thing to get than a wholeass computer Bad actually wanted :D An it means Skeppy will have to get one too, and that Bad will be having the time of his life texting him and everyone he can get a number from, even if they’re still in the room with him.

Poor Skeppy indeed, he can learn to appreciate the pagers, and later phones, too, and computers, but he really has 0 idea on how it all works and why Bad is so fascinated by it all.

2) Rat and regular people

Oh, she can shapeshift, just like Bad! If they’re out with people around, she takes form of a puppy, and Bad can pass her off as a weird mix breed rescue doggo.

3) Do they immediately go over to a different town or do they wander for a while?

Oh, since they have no end destination in mind, they can ride around for a bit, go visit some cool places and roadside attractions. Sadly, Skeppy is probably not spiritually or morally ready to full on befriend wild bears yet, and they do need money for gas and snacks. So, at some point they will have to stop somewhere and find work – at least for a bit, to save up. Life’s gonna be a bit complicated with all that, until Skeppy figures out his treasure-finding abilities :DD

4) Bad and nature and animals

He is definitely still in tune with all wildlife! Even more – Bad could become a proper guardian spirit for Skeppy in part because, in a way, Skeppy himself is part of the nature.

So yeah, Bad can understand animals (and plants) and communicate with them; they’re just more free to not take his shit, and Bad’s emotions do not “possess” them unless he makes an effort to do so.

He doesn’t like doing it, tho.

5) Do they ever visit the og town again?

Hm, I think they will completely forget about it for a while, until, like, 30+ years later they will be going somewhere, and find themselves around those parts. And they try to not appear too often in the areas they’ve spent a lot of time in already (they can be pretty recognizable, and also barely show signs of aging). But it’s been a long time, and the town’s really different now… So they make a stop, and spend a day there. They walk the unfamiliar streets between the new buildings, check out the popular hiking trail, the advertisements for hot springs and winter activities. The old cinema is still there, and is hosting an all-night marathon of classic horror movies of the last century.

Bad and Skeppy leave the town after sunset – the day was nice, but they have nothing more to do there. They ride through the forest on a well paved road, with radio playing something barely above the whisper. And in the dark of hot summer night, Bad can see the white stag running between the trees alongside their car. Shadows dance over the shimmering light of it’s fur.

Somewhere after the towns border, the stag disappears back in the forest. But the air in the car stays light and fresh, saving the smell of old pines and dry leaves all though the night.

6) Skeppy and chaos

Well, after the whole mess in the main story, Skeppy definitely learned some lessons, especially about not being a dick :D

But the thing is – he can’t really help the fact that things tend to stir up around him a lot. He naturally brings in chaos into everything, because he is, in part, a personification, or an outlet for it in the world. And so, to feel, well and good, and himself Skeppy gotta do stuff that disrupts balance, and creates some mayhem. And in gave him a lot of trouble in early life, but in the course of the main story he learned that he can chose were he lets that chaos to take hold, learned what can come of that chaos, apart from utter misery.

Like, where it can help dismantle something destructive, and where – bring in the more positive change, that was already brewing, possible, but is stagnant for some reason.

Soooo, I can’t say Skeppy causes only minor chaos in his life, but he sure learns even more about not being a dick :DDDD

7) The studying

I think Bad will want to get a higher education at some point, because he wanted to, and because it’s already new millennia and all that. Bet he’ll go for something very technical and/or literature. Maybe he’ll start by piking up some classes in small time colleges, when they stop in one place for a while, and later get into an online program, because why not.

Skeppy is not a college guy at all. He’ll listen to Bad talk about it, read textbooks if he wants to, can research stuff, buuut going to classes and doing homework is definitely not his thing.

8) Stealing

Well, you’re right, Skeppy can and will steal stuff out of spite! And will be scolded by Bad for it, and will not feel (that) sorry about it. But real stealer between them will be Bad himself :D

It’s just… he has the corvid tendencies, and a hoard (a box) of sentimental mementos from different people and events, and the thrill of stealing something small and harmless is very exciting. Bad is very proud of his little collection. Skeppy finds it very adorable, a bit hypocritical, and kinda creepy. Like, that pretty box he gifted Bad at some point is now full of stuff like:

- pressed flower from the clearing they had a picnic at on their anniversary

- the button the waitress lost that one day the storm caused a black out in the whole town

- some small animal bones

- couple pretty rocks Bad stole from Skeppy’s pockets

- penny that was once glued to the ground

- a handful of teeth people (and not people) lost in fights with Bad

- pen from some fancy hotel

- rainbow dash keychain that belonged to a child

- the list goes on

9) Argument

Oh, that same day they’ll fight over whether they should stay at the really crappy and suspicious looking motel, or go sleep in a perfectly fine forest near the road. Ironically, Bad wanted to try out the motel (because, yay, first time spending the night back in civilization), and Skeppy was the one insisting on sleeping in nature (because the motel looks like it could give you 10 diseases if you even stand near it, and sleeping in the forest is kind of nice, and means they can cuddle).

10) Horses

The guys will probably ride them at some point. Well, Bad will ride, and Skeppy will sit on his horse and hope it knows what to do and where to go, because trying to make this giant thing do something seems dangerous. If they’ll have to actually go somewhere fast, Skeppy will not survive that day, his butt (and legs) will be dead for days to come.

And riding with Bad on one horse may sound romantic and nice, but all romance dies when the gallop starts.

11) Skeppy and climbing

Skeppy is more down to earth kind of guy, more of a “rocks and caves” kind of creature, real-life lizard person or something. Up on the trees and in the air – not really his element, yeah. But it doesn’t mean that Skeppy will accept this fact easy. The embarrassment of never managing to safely make it down a tree is too strong, he just has to do it all over again, and again. And again. Because, clearly, he was distracted this time. And the time before that Bad was teasing him, and it “disrupted his flow”. And, really, maybe these trees here just do not like Skeppy much, and make him slip a lot. Yeah.

So, more often than not, if Skeppy climbs a tree, he will not stop climbing it until he falls, or the tree ends. Bad had to take him off high branches couple times, forcefully, because, of course, Skeppy was sitting there for 2 hours just to properly enjoy the sunset. He can climb down at any point, he just Choses not to. The view is amazing. The bark is literally part of his skin now, not because he holds on tight, no, he’s just Than Much one with the nature )<

first, i gotta start with LENA ( @mythvoiced ) who's so nice?? so sweet?? ngl when i first started following her, i didn't know someone could be that openly supportive of all her mutuals :'D but!! it's always a joy to see her on my dash; her enthusiasm and cheer is infectious and yet she's also very thoughtful of her mutuals...it's not often i see that kind of active caring and concern for her partners on this hellsite. that and she shows genuine curiosity and love for her partner's muses and i really really appreciate that about her <3 it makes writing and plotting with them such a joy!! but onto her writing tho!! her cast of characters are all distinct?? and also every single one of her bios are like detailed- i can get a very clear impression of each and every one of her characters just from reading their bio alone. i'm so excited about our interactions and already and not me also scheming to see how i can get my muses to interact with all of hers JFKLSDJF also her writing?? lemme kiss it, it's LYRICAL AND FLOWS WELL....i'd like to steal some for miself please!!

i don't think we talk enough about how sweet @etherealve is!! i absolutely adore how open they are about supporting their writing partners via commenting/liking their mutuals' posts. it really shows i think, the care and interest they put into their partners not just as writers but also as individuals. they're also very down-to-earth and super fun to watch them banter on dash with our mutuals...and i haven't even gotten to their writing yet. i really really love their ocs or at least the ones i've met!! jay, from what i've seen, is very balanced...like he might've had a rough childhood, he's not angsty. but he's also not completely naive either. he's someone who i don't think can be pinned down with one trope ( despite mana nicknaming him lover boy...sjdfklsj ) as we're already seeing he has multiple layers and sides that come out depending on who he's interacting with. i absolutely love what we have going so far writing wise and i can't wait to see where it goes!!

laney ( @guttersniper ) is also a darling to see on my dash!! they're super chill and friendly which is refreshing see in a space that can get cliquish...laney doesn't play by those rules though and i love how open they are to interacting with all kinds of muses!! but onto mutt, it's difficult and time-consuming to develop any character but to do it for a child muse especially on this hellsite?? that's amazing in and of itself. laney puts so much love and care into mutt's character and it shows. mutt is so realistic and i can tell laney put a lot of thought into how a child would realistically act especially considering the sheer amount of abuse and abandonment mutt has already endured...that and mutt in general?? so much fun to interact with and also so much fun to just watch exist?? and live?? nothing but respect and care for these two really!!

and last but certainly not least synnie ( @eternasci )!! synnie is an absolute joy to see on all my blogs and I'M SO HAPPY I GET TO INTERACT WITH THEM AND LUCI WITH MANA NOW TOO!! they were actually one of the first few people I started writing with when I initially came back to rpc and they were just so chill and sweet?? very reassuring for me since i was a nervous wreck back then sjdfklsjdf anyways, i love how while they are laid-back, they also go hard with character development for luci, sweet bird child who is just so, so wonderful?? first and foremost, i love luci's boundless optimism and their steadfast belief in assuming the best of people- but what really draws me to them is that their character arc puts that to the test and just, wow- that's a character to admire a lot!! but also synnie's writing- also gives it a chef's kiss- it's v lyrical and metaphorical as well, which is something i'd love to try out more in my own writing <3

You were bold and that’s what people liked about you. Well, bold in the sense that you had no problem doing things for others. Whenever someone was too shy, too anxious, too frightened to take charge you’d always be the one to do so instead.

It was a habit from when you were a child that only continued to grow and cultivate itself as a primary piece of your personality. You hated the amount of hesitation others took when a job needed to be done, watching people squirm and excuse themselves from doing such minuscule tasks was idiotic in your eyes. So you had always taken it upon yourself to offer up yourself as a substitution, to save both you and your peers from the potential disappointment or embarrassment that a situation called for.

Somehow everyone slowly caught wind of your selfless acts and they began to flock to your side in an attempt to gain your assistance. The issues usually were rather small: presenting in group projects, asking questions for others, ordering food, starting conversation, anything relatively close to those. You didn’t mind either, you never truly got sick of helping those who couldn’t help themselves.

Sure, there were times when people you’d rather not interact with seeked your assistance, but the mere fact that they had to swallow their pride and come to you was enough for you to continue without any second thoughts.

That was until you became the residential high school “Cupid”. It was a one time request, a girl you had known in one of your classes had scurried you to you in a rush and asked for your services and you agreed. She had beens a rather quiet figure amongst the usual rowdiness of the other students so one could only imagine how loud you cooed at her when she asked you to deliver a love letter for her.

So you did as asked, finding the lucky person who had such a sweet secret admirer and delivering the letter in a small yet endearing manner.

Not long after you had given the love letter to them, the two had gotten together almost immediately and you were thrilled. But somehow instead of the focus being put on the new couple within the school halls, it was on you? It had immediately spread that you were the one to give the letter and helped them get together and somehow that equated to you becoming Cupid.

After the occurrence that should have only been a one time thing, it became all anyone ever asked of you. Every few days out of the week you’d have a multitude of students rushing into your classroom when they got the chance and begged you to send their love letters to their crushes.

You’d try to decline for the sake of your own sanity but watching them grovel at your foot and beg was a little… uncomfortable to say the least.

That’s how you became the Cupid of your class, your grade, your entire school, and accidentally made the old childish tradition of sending letters to confirm a mutual attraction popular.

There’s only been two people so far that your Cupid’s arrow never seemed to notch though, no matter how many love letters were shoved their way. One of those being the boy that was approaching you now, Hwang Hyunjin.

“Y/N!” Hyunjin exclaimed, frankly waving his arms in the air and his eyes sparklingly with pure glee when he finally caught your attention. You couldn’t help but smile back at him, his happiness being contagious if you had to be completely honest. You could see why he often received the love letters you were meant to deliver.

Though your eyes immediately caught sight of the pink envelope in his hand, the sight of the object was rather familiar in your time as the resident ‘Cupid’ of your school.

“I can’t believe my eyes,” you jeered, a smug smirk beginning to stretch across your face as he approached you. “Hwang Hyunjin, the infamous lover boy of this generation, handing me a love letter? Tell me, who is the lucky person? I’ve got to know, this is the biggest news of the century!”

The boy rolled his eyes at your teasing, holding the letter away from your gremlin hand as he spoke. “Haha, that’s so funny but no! It’s not mine.”

You involuntarily whine at his response, snatching the letter out of his hand with one big hop and collapsing into the desk. “What do you mean it’s not yours?” You question him scanning the letter up and down for confirmation. It was a nice rosy pink shade and smelled just like lavender, as if it had been sprayed with the specific scent. It was shut tight with a heart stamp placed on it like a wax seal and even had pretty neat hand writing at the top that you couldn’t quite decipher.

You did, however, know that the handwriting belonged to the boy that stood right in front of you denying ownership of the letter. “This is your handwriting, how is this not yours?” You argued, “and don’t try to lie and say it’s not, I’ve seen your essay drafts enough to know what your handwriting looks like.”

The boy winced at the thought, quickly reminiscing on the memories of the two of you working together on projects before returning to reality. “I know it’s my handwriting, but it’s not mine— the letter, I mean! I was asked to write everything down because the sender wanted to remain anonymous.”

“Anonymous?” You repeated making sure you heard him correctly. You searched the envelope for any sort of signature and lo and behold, there was none that you could find. All that was left on the outside of the card was a yellow sticky note with a locker number written on it.

This was… a first for you. Usually when people asked you to deliver the confessions of love to the receiver, they wanted their name mentioned so that they wouldn’t get you confused with someone else. Even then, just in case, they always had their name written somewhere on their envelopes to ensure that the receiver knew exactly who they would be responding to. No one had ever asked you to anonymously deliver letters.

“What? Are anonymous letters out of your requirements?” Hyunjin questioned, playing with a strand of his silky black hair as he grinned at you.

You shook your head immediately, though struggling to release your gaze from the mysterious letter. “No, not at all. It’s just… new I guess? I’m so used to knowing who exactly I’m going to and who I’m delivering for. It’s weird.”

“Why? Because you’re no longer in the loop?” You nearly jump out of your skin as you turn around, the hair on your neck standing straight up like a cat’s. The doggish smile of Seungmin stared back at you, a teasing glint in his eyes as he took the envelope out of your hands. “Wow Y/N, I never took you to the nosy type… but I guess being the school’s Stupid Cupid changes you.”

This was the second person who’s heart you could never strike with your Cupid arrow, Kim Seungmin.

You struggle to comprehend his words, ignoring his insults as your ears immediately begin to burn in a sense of embarrassment as you bite back at him. “I’m not being nosy!” You try to convince him, taking the letter out of his hands. “I’m just not used to giving these without any background information, that’s all.”

“Does wanting background information mean you're being nosy?” The boy questioned, his light chuckle like music to your ears despite his taunting words, “your trying to poke your nose into business you have no right to be in.”

“These letters are my business,” you snap back, “I’m the one who delivers them, for free even! I should know who is sending them and who is recovering them. It just… makes sense!”

You’ve known Kim Seungmin for awhile now, you weren’t strangers at all. In fact your mothers went to school together when they were your age, so in a sense the two of you were close. But Seungmin always treated you like an annoying little sibling any second he caught, pushing whatever button he could find. You never bickered, per se, he just enjoyed making fun of you and you were very easy to make heated.

“Yeah, yeah, yeah whatever…” He shrugged off, not even noticing how much he was pushing him buttons. “Whether you like it or not you are not entitled to that kind of information. Let’s be honest there’s probably a reason that it’s not stated who is going to and who it’s coming from.” 

After a moment of thought, Hyunjin nodded in agreement. “You’re a very well-known person around the school now, they’ll be put in the spotlight just because you’re involved in their romance. They probably won’t like all that attention but still want you to deliver the letter.”

“Well…,” You trail off seeing their side of the argument. As much as he wanted to know what was going on, you do have to respect their privacy. “Ugh, I hate it when you guys make sense it makes everything less fun.”

Seungmin grinned ear to ear at your surrender, quickly shooting an off handed comment,” we’re just trying to make sure that our Stupid Cupid doesn’t get into a fight with someone because they decided to invade someone’s privacy.”

“It’s not invading privacy!” you snap back at him, beginning your daily bickering once again. You knew he was right but you’d rather jump into the ocean and let Seungmin have the last laugh. “What, I should go deliver this before class starts… And before I decide to choke you out.”

“Wise decision,” Hyunjin laughed, side eying Seungmin as you stood up from your seat. “I’m almost one hundred percent sure Seungmin wouldn’t be able to fight back anyway.”

“Hey—!” Seungmin didn’t get the chance to respond, not when Hyunjin leaped over the desk to cover his mouth and you begin dashing out of the room. As popular and close to Seungmin as Hyunjin may seem, he would always cover for you at the end of the day. Which worked out well in your favor... most of the time.

Thankfully he had held off Seungmin long for you to get away, gleefully skipping down the bright hallways with a pep in your step. It didn’t matter how many times you had to deliver a love letter to someone, whether it was anonymous or not, you’d always feel a warm feeling in your chest knowing that the feelings you held in your hand were raw and true.

And if you had to be honest? Knowing that the letter you had now was completely anonymous to keep their emotions hidden from the rest of the student body made your heart warm. Oh young love… how sweet it must be to be in love.

“One thirty-two…,” you counted to yourself, scanning the numbers written on the lockers. It didn’t take long to get where you needed to be, luckily the love letter was being delivered to someone near your own locker. You knew this hallway like the back of your hand since this is where you usually could be found.

Every so often a student would notice your presence in the area and spot the love letter in your hands, chaos soon beginning afterward. The whole hall would flare up in eager whispers and trembling hands as everyone wondered, ‘is it me? Is it my turn to get struck by your arrow?’

Their hopeful smiles would soon drop into disappointed groans when you passed them without a second thought, still searching for the anonymous receiver’s locker. Constant questions of ‘who is it this time?’ would spread across the room as you continued your search, as curious as you to figure out who was getting their heart pierced by Cupid’s arrow.

“One thirty-nine…,” you continued, blinking your eyes rapidly as you looked back from the love letter to the locker not that far from you. The sticky note attached to the letter had been addressed to locker number one forty-one and somehow you hadn’t noticed that that’s you. You're locker one forty one, that’s the one you were occupying for the school year. “Wait, what?”

You glanced from the locker number to the sticky note and it wasn’t wrong. You were at the right locker, which meant the love letter was addressed to you in the end. It really was your business after all.

“What am I supposed to do? Prick myself with my own arrow,” you joked, leaning up against the metal compartments to look a little closer at the letter in your hands. You were notoriously known for setting couples up together just by giving the confessions to them, but what were you supposed to do if you didn’t know who it was?

You didn’t mind getting into a relationship yourself, honestly you didn’t, but you didn’t know who it was from! Hyunjin gave you no clue and he didn’t even point out the fact that the locker number written on the sticky note was yours. “This makes me infuriated for some reason,” you mumble, pressing your back up against the lockers as you begin to carefully open the letter for yourself.

As soon as you opened the envelope the scent of lavender became even stronger, as if the letter itself was sprayed heavily with a lavender perfume. You also didn’t mind that though, lavender was your favorite scent for perfume. You could often be found trucking through the halls with the smell of lavender groves trailing behind you.

“Stupid Cupid?” You hissed, annoyed at the teasing that could be found in the love letter. If someone was going to write you a love letter, shouldn’t they have been a little nicer to win you over? You get other couples together, but that doesn’t mean you’d be won over so easily. “How rude… there’s no need for name calling.”

This saying however, you’ve seen it before. Well, not seen, more like heard of it every so often. It was A Japanese saying that was seen as a more intimate and poetic way of confessing your love to someone.

You knew specifically because every so often you’d have other students run up to you and ask if the “the moon was beautiful, isn't it?” was a good way to ask out their long (but usually short) term crushes. No one that had ever asked you had the guts to use it since it felt like an odd way to confess but here you are now, staring at the words written on the letter addressed to you.

“Wait a minute… Stupid Cupid?” You repeated, standing up to your full height as you read over the letter again. You read it once, twice, three times, four, maybe even more before you realized that no one who simply admired you from a afar knew your nickname was Stupid Cupid, only close friends. Even then, Hyunjin had never used it as a way to address you, the words have never even fallen from his mouth and he’s one of the closest people to you.

You could already cross out him as a potential candidate anyway because you knew exactly what his handwriting was like after working with him for so long. It was even on the front and back of the envelope too, but the writing within the letter wasn’t Hyunjin’s at all. You knew it was a little too neat and legible to him. The only person with handwriting like this hand for have been…

“Hey, Stupid Cupid!” You turn your head with neck breaking speed, your eyes widening as the familiar nickname matches to the voice and face of Kim Seungmin as he walks down the hall. He waved his hands to you innocent as he caught your attention, his teasing puppy grin growing wider with every passing second as he called, “did you deliver that letter already?”

You glance down at the love letter before you look back up at him, the feeling of disbelief morphing onto your face as you blurted out without thinking. “The moon is beautiful, isn’t it, Seungmin?”
