Every time I think about Peri and Timmy a part of me breaks apart. I saw a fanart and some description about Peri and Timmy being like you wake up one day and your best friend is gone and it broke me cause actually imagine that.

You have been born because of a wish, something no child has done in thousands of years. He was beside the bed you were born in, Eyes filled with wonder. You would grab his finger while he cradles you in his arms, listening to him talk to you, looking at you as if you were his entire world. He would say the words I love you over and over, and you believed him. He was your first word, for a while. He was the only person you wanted to call out too, to reach out, and he was delighted to be there for you anytime you said his name. He would rush to your side and do whatever you needed. he helped teach you how to ride a bike, even if it was a human activity, you could fly with him anyway. you still wanted to do it with him though, cause it was Timmy!. he snuck you out late at night just to get you an extra sweet, and even if you could wish for it, you still wanted to do it with him. he picked you up from school with your mom and dad, talking to you about all the wacky antics and adventures he had with mom and dad. he helped you beat the last round of video games, teaching you the controls and secret hacks to beat the bosses properly. he hugged you when you felt like you had no one else. when you were the only kid fairy in a long, long time, he reminded you he would be there for you every single day. Every single birthday he was there to celebrate- make a cake with his bare hands and decorate his house just for you, it was always bliss with him.

Until you were 8. You were 8 years old when it was your older brothers birhday- 18. You were warned as the days came, but it felt so far, so impossible, that he had to go. he had to leave, and he could never see you again. He tried to find any- any loophole that could let him stay, Cosmo and Wanda looked everywhere in da rules, they hopped dimensions talked with other planets, had a case that could prove he was meant to be with his fairies forever, but he couldn't. No human could ever remember fairys, there were consequences that would affect everything outside of his family, he had to accept it. He could never say your name with such kindness again, He could never bring you to the ends of the galaxy again, he would never remember anything at all. You cry. You cry and cry and cry and think how cruel it is that you can never see your best friend again. You can never see your older brother ever again. He wouldn't remember carrying you, hugging you, tucking you before bed, he wouldn't remember birthdays, holidays, vacations, he wouldn't remember you. It felt worse then anything you've ever experienced, you barley could handle it at the time and still cant now. The only proof that he was in your life was your mere existence, your whole life was proof that Timmy Turner was your older brother, that he was Cosmo's and Wanda's godkid, and you would never forget that, no matter how much time has passed, no matter how many godkids go though the same cycle, you would always remember Timmy Turner.

Recently I've been hyperfixating on Sun Wukong. Reading JttW, watching shows and movies. Looking at fanart of all kinds. And its made me wonder something, back when I was like 13 Sonic also made me question this, but as the only person I know that knowns more about furry stuff--does liking only one or 2 characters but not anything outside that count as me being a furry? How did you discover such for yourself? If that isnt too personal.

It's different for everyone. You can be a furry who's just really into one specific thing with anthro characters, or you could be into a million things with anthro characters and not self-identify as a furry. It's your call.

For me, I've always liked a lot of cartoons and video games and whatnot with anthro characters since I was little, and as I got older I discovered the furry community and the concept of "furry art" and I liked what I saw. It felt like a natural next step for me beyond Sonic OCs. It helped that the furry fandom is a predominantly queer community, and I was a closeted teenager still struggling to accept that I was bi. Even today, having that community is very important to me.

I also quickly found that I liked representing myself as a furry character, which is a key part of it. I like having a fursona. I like having that wish fulfillment character to project onto. I like drawing her in situations, and commissioning art of her, and seeing her next to my boyfriend's fursona, and people saying she's cute. I like using a fursona as my face on the internet. If a genie granted me three wishes, no strings attached, wish number one would be to turn into my fursona. She's a representation of something I feel about myself deep down in my heart. And, again, not every single person in the furry community has a fursona, and also you can just design yourself a fursona for fun without self-identifying as a furry. But for me, the level of attachment I have goes beyond "I just think they're neat."

I'm snobbing for 4 days at the fact that what made Lilia's "dream" a dream is the Senate reaction after Malleus birth.

They were praising him. They congratulated him for hatching this baby. They were as happy as him for his birth.

And his spirit immediatly understood something was wrong. Making the dream's world shake and turning the Senate reaction on what they were in truth.

That's how deep this flying spirits words hurted him. But worst, they took Malleus away from him. This new born baby was about to die 10 minutes before. The child of his decreased friends. A baby he waited and tried to hatch for 200 years. Nearly half of his life at that time !

Lilia dream could have been about everything. Meleanor and Levan alive. Malleus hatching and living happily with his parents. Silver and him in the cottage. The present. But no. His dream was his painful memories, just until the happiest and relief moment of Malleus birth - with the only change being the Senate reaction.

Deep down, Lilia wanted to keep that kid. He wanted to cuddle him again and again and again. He wanted to show him the world. To raise him. Instead, the child was taken from him, and he received horrible insults.

This Book will give me a need for an hundred years of THERAPY ! And murderous feeling against flying dead spirits.

Also. Love how Overblot Malleus is such a cute kid with Lilia. Boi is in the middle of a desesperate magical crisis making him a bit crazy and emotionaly unstable. But when the occassion comes where he can play catch with his father he is just so happy ! Well. A bit crazy too. But his face beaming with "Now my inner child is out and we're going to live our best life".

With all the emotions I have been feeling and all the posts, wow, has it really just been five days? I'm so shocked. It always feels as if each update leaves us reeling more and more, and with more questions than answers.

The fact that the senate insulting him is what led him to give in to the blot and then it was them complimenting him during a time when he was happiest that shook him out really says something doesn't it?

How it was the happiest moment and he received complements. He's so relieved. He's overjoyed, but no, this didn't happen.

In fact, it was the exact opposite. And do you know what this implies, something terrible happened right after and he remembers it vividly. Because if he was truly happy and received these compliments, then surely, what happened next wouldn’t have happened.

Surely they wouldn't have taken Malleus away? And that's what breaks my heart. We didn't see it, but we know the next scene would have something that would break all our hearts.

The fact that we know what's going to happen is what hurts the most. We don't see it, but we know it will happen. and during such a sensitive time? My heart aches for all of them. Lilia and Malleus, the way they have been so hurt.

No wonder Silver was so protected and kept a secret until he was older 😭, can you imagine what the senate would have said if they knew?

The fact that his happiest moment was Malleus' hatching despite all the obstacles he went through 😭😭😭, just can you see all the love?? I'm in tears and they have been done so dirty 😭😭

Let's all just go into the game and make them pay, what we could have had. What Malleus and Lilia could have had 😭😭

All the Baby Malleus and Baby Silver fanart people have been drawing even shows others think the same way. The father and his sons 😭😭😭

YES!! That Scene with hide and seek with Malleus and Lilia; then the scene where they are fighting as if they are battling in Bean's day again 😭😭😭 ahhhhh Malleus just wants to have fun and play with his dad.

He just wants to spend time with him, despite his inner emotional state, he just wants to be with his family. He doesn't want to be alone anymore and I can't. I'll join you in that therapy.

GENUINE QUESTION, this is going to sound so silly, oh God........but was making Teagan a redhead on purpose (actually, I just thought of the possibility of them dyeing their...)? I mean, don't get me wrong, I like the color red but “full of red flags + DANGEROUS + IS a readhead = Teagan”. Their whole self and background is so interesting to me, it makes me wonder what inspired you to create them (apologies if something similar was asked and answered). There isn't much but man, I can't wait for the next updates! Thank you for your hard work <3

Please don't feel silly or apologize for asking your question! I really am so honored to hear that you're so invested in learning more about Teagan and have thought so deeply about them!

To get the easy part of your question out of your way, no Teagan isn't a natural redhead. They actually dye their hair all the time (Their hair was actually bright blue before they dying it red.)

As for the redhead = red flags + danger equation, I honestly can't deny that didn't cross my mind when I was creating them. Though you know what else is red? Herrings. ;)

As for the second part of your question, Teagan was honestly inspired by a lot of different sources.

One of the main sources of inspiration from Teagan are from a few toxic/manipulative friendships I had growing up. You see, I was a huge people pleaser/ pushover as a child and I would always give people the benefit of the doubt even when they didn't always deserve it.

Now that I'm older, I can look back on those toxic friendships and immediately spot those bright red flags that I missed as a kid. Of course, after seeing and learning of the home life that they had, I can understand why they developed those toxic traits in the first place.

Of course that doesn't excuse it, but it explains their actions and helped me realize that I wasn't the only reason why they acted the way that they did. It was their own slew of internal, and sometimes external, issues that caused them to act out.

Teagan also embodies the abandonment issues I developed after those toxic friendships inevitably failed. ( Not always by my own choice, even though in retrospect it was a net positive for me.) Granted, Teagan's issues dwarf my own, but they're rooted in the same fears and insecurities that I am still working on to this day. ( Unlike Teagan, I actively work on my issues and try my best NOT to project them onto others)

Of course, they were also loosely inspired by a lot of other yandere visual novels I've played. If you look at fanart I've made on my main accounts you'll probably get a hint of which specific games I drew some inspiration from haha.

I will say that even though Teagan is a manifestation of a variety of issues I've dealt with over the years, they are obviously 100x more toxic than anything I've experienced in IRL.

I've also found some sick enjoyment in coming up with creative and increasingly more messed up scenarios on how to make Teagan as toxic as humanly possible.

It's almost cathartic in a way, being able to control these fictional scenarios instead of being forced into them by outside sources.

That being said, I also believe in everyone's innate ability to heal, change for the better, and grow as a person. Of course I don't want to give too much away, but just know that my belief extends to Crimson Hydrangea as well. <3

IVE BEEN A GOOD KID AND IVE ACTUALLY LET MYSELF LIKE. THINK ABOUT THE OFFICIAL TRANSLATIONS SO. HERE WE GO BITCHES.

(Along with some other things bouncing around, implications of togachako because of this chapter, maybe even a prediction? This is my FINAL THOUGJTS POST, unless ofc I notice something and I say it BUT HOPEFULLY THIS IS THE LAST AND ITS JUST GONNA BE ME BEING SILLY AND POSTING FANART)

1, i find it funny that Caleb said lickitung than Pikachu since that… totally doesn’t make sense nor was why Twice suggested the name. IDK IM A POKÉMON NERD AND AN MHA FAN SO I JUST FIND IT A LITTLE SILLY.

Like I think Horikoshi chose Pikachu bc it’s the most recognizable Pokémon, along with Himiko’s “chu-chu” noises she makes when she drinks blood ofc, but it was also probably suggested bc… Pikachu has the same blushies that Ochako has…

Not to mention the fact that Pikachu is also representative of Toga’s colors, those of course being red and yellow.

Lickitung makes no sense other than the fact that it paralyzes people/Pokémon by licking them and making them uncomfortable. It’s such a… random gen 1 Pokémon idfk. I can see WHY he chose it, because lickitung is supposed to be a friendly Pokémon that accidentally makes people uncomfortable, but I think Pikachu being said instead just makes far more sense; Pikachu is supposed to be a cute Pokémon. It’s origins in gen 1 were, “I want you to make the cutest Pokémon you can” and the artist Atsuko Nisida had to go through 3-5 iterations of pixel art (bc they would make the pixelated version for the game first AND THEN draw the Pokémon from that) before finally settling on what people call “fat Pikachu” which looked like this

Lickitung works ig by being a Pokémon that ultimately is harmless to people but just accidentally freaks people out and makes them off-put by them, but Pikachu fits much better in a chapter where Ochako calls Himiko’s smile, something we’re supposed to see as creepy, perfect/pretty/beautiful. Comparing her and her cuteness to something like Pikachu just seems like something twice would do anything bc he’s a sweetie like that.

ALSO ANOTHER THING FOR PEOPLE WHO KNOW NOTHING ABOUT POKÉMON: reguri is I think the most popular ship? That might be beat by Selena/ash and misty/ash, but regardless it’s super popular and also is EXTREMELY SIMILAR to bkdk.

This does depend on which version of them you’re talking about, but personally when I read pokespe (the most popular official Pokémon manga, there’s others but that’s just the most well known one) I always thought bkdk were so similar to red/blue to the point it was uncanny. At the time I thought “eh that’s just gay rival tropes there’s tons of other characters in other anime/manga/tv that are similar to them too” but after the mention OF Pikachu and Toga’s purposeful similarities I do wonder if horikoshi was a Pokémon fan in the 90’s during his childhood. That wouldn’t surprise me seeing as the games were such a booming success in Japan (literally it’s the most sold Pokémon games ever nothing has beat it since), so it would make sense if horikoshi was a secret Pokémon fan.

I mean, blues hair is even similar to bakugous but idk, maybe it’s a stretch.

They’re not childhood friends in pokespe, but they are childhood friends in the games, blue bullying him as they got older and pushing red away, red goes and has an emo arc on mount silver by himself without telling anyone, eventually comes down from that mountain in black and white 2 where red and blue are starting to be friends again, and I don’t think they’re seen again until sun and moon where they’re on vacation together in alola. There’s other outside game content that has just… progressively gotten more gay.

AGAIN, IM NOT SURE IF HORIKOSHI HAS READ THE POKESPE MANGA OR IF HE PUT THIS MUCH THOUGHT INTO IT! However I WILL say that if you enjoy bkdk you will probably enjoy reguri and the pokespe manga, especially since it has a more interesting plot than the anime or games, along with being less corny. It’s a lot more… I don’t wanna say graphic but honest? It wasn’t really made in mind that it would be targeted overseas like all the other Pokémon stuff, so it’s just more honest about environmental issues and pet abuse and things like that. Red and blues character arcs and friendship, along with Leaf’s character arc is very interesting just by itself, highly recommend.

MOVING ON… my Pokémon nerdiness aside, I love Himiko’s defiance to conform to hero society especially as a villain. Will she go against this vow because she sees herself as a full fledged villain? I wasn’t really sure.

She didn’t, which is great, but I also think those themes of pity and feeling like Ochako is still looking down on her… remind me exactly of Katsuki.

I also find this page and what toga says quite interesting.

Saying that she KNEW ochako was sad too, that’s a VERY interesting observation to make when thinking of someone you “hate”.

And I like the distinction that Ochako wasn’t afraid of Toga because of her smile being creepy, or that she was trying to harm her or tsu, but because she couldn’t understand why she was smiling during a fight.

More bakugou vibes/lines

If/when they ARE canon, explicitly and completely and all that, then that would make mha a, and idk if it’s the first, shonen GL + BL. That would be fucking crazy.

ALSO THIS? THIS IS ABSOLUTELY NOT AN IZU//OCHA MOMENT… let me explain.

It’s a couple of things: Ochako is not explicitly saying how she wishes she could talk about her love with Izuku, instead it seems to be more framed as talking ABOUT Izuku.

He’s not even looking at her, and she’s not looking at him; no, instead Ochako and Himiko are looking at each other, and talking about the importance to talk about your feelings openly, how she admires that quality to Himiko.

In a way this is Ochako saying “No, don’t become like him, this is why I admire you. That trait makes you admirable, it’s a trait I love in you.”

And lastly, that marriage proposal. Is it REALLY a marriage proposal? How romantic or platonic is this this scene?

Well, I went back and read chapter 348 to find out, and a little detail disregarded, not only by me but everyone else, was the line, “If you ask me, being a couple means being one and the same. Makes sense right? Nothing else… would fulfill my desires.”

And then ochako in 393, purposely bearing her feelings to Himiko and offering her blood to her? Even with this knowledge? The knowledge that Himiko would see this as a confession? Fucking crazy.

For all her flaws, I can perfectly picture why Ochako would prefer someone who sees romance like she does, openly unapologetic about her feelings like she is, over someone who can’t even see a teenage girls confession as an actual confession of love. Way to be selfish Izuku.

(God he would be SO offended at all the shit talking I’ve been doing to him recently HAHA! BUT HE NEEDS TO HEAR IT BC HES AN IDIOT WHO SHOULD BE TAKING HIS FEELINGS SERIOUSLY. How are you going to let the hot headed blonde kid that bullied you be better at this. HOW.)

So yes, I think this is so explicitly romantic, I literally thought this scene would never fucking happen because I KNEW how gay it was, how gay everyone KNEW it was—but god damn. Horikoshi you mad man.

A Sad but Happy but Sad Update

Hello everyone. I hope you’re all having a wonderful evening and that the full moon is shining as brightly and beautifully where you are as it is here.

This full moon is a bitter sweet one for me. After close to two years of development, Blood Moon is finished. It is time to submit it to Hosted Games. That, unfortunately, means it’s also time to take down the public demo. I have removed the game from Dashingdon and will send the files to Hosted Games, hopefully soon (there are still a few pieces of art I’m waiting for, but I don't think that will take too long).

I wish I had more to say but I’m a little lost for words right now… I suppose I’ll just say what I always say, which is thank you. This community has been absolutely incredible and I couldn’t be more grateful for all the help and support I’ve received over the last couple of years. Without this community, Blood Moon would not be the game it is today.

Thank you for playing. I hope you’ve enjoyed your time running with wolves. I couldn’t have asked for a better pack of players.

Okay... so I've been thinking... werewolf slang.

What are some words or phrases that you think werewolves would use? Here's some ideas I've had:

"Stray" - a werewolf without a pack. Eg, 'There is a stray wandering around the edge of our territory'.

"Moon mad" - a werewolf who goes totally berserk under the light of the full moon. Eg, 'Some of us just can't control anymore, especially in old age. My old man went moon mad near the end.'

"Showing fur" - to transform either fully or partially into wolf form. Eg, 'Frank had to leave quick. He got angry and started showing fur.'

"Pup" - a minor insult typically coming from an older werewolf and directed at a younger one. Eg, 'Back up a step, pup. You're out of line'.

"Cub" - a werewolf child. Similar to the human word 'kid'. Eg, "Who's going to pick the cubs up from school?"

Feel free to add your own! I want this post to turn into a werewolf urban dictionary.

final fantasy vii (final fantasy in general) is the only fandom i'm in where none of my favourite ships are even remotely canon, or popular.

rambling below cut

for seven, my top ships barely interact for longer than a few minutes and because of the twenty-odd year shipping war, no other ships really get to breathe. especially involving any of the 'core' four (the chances of renoaer ever having more than a small cult-following was shot in field somewhere in '97)

cissreno, i mean they have one conversation together and happen to be in the same scene once (despite both being turks!) and that's all i've got to work with. i so desperately want a cissnei reunion in rebirth or it's sequel - give me one scene square!

i wonder if they'll mention emma now that elena has joined and square are using compilation material.

the level of angst in these two ships is genuinely too good to be ignored.

reti are fine, like i've got a few hang-ups the longer i think about the age-gap but in the grand scheme of things it's relatively harmless and the fanart circulating is gorgeous.

i don't have much of a reason to ship luche x crowe other than the fact that i hate myself, him and what could've been had the film fleshed out their characters more because in every scene they share they're literally looking at each-other at some point.

also, whilst i'm on the subject of crowe and luna - crowuna, another great ship. i wouldn't trust square with it considering what they did to crowe but that has genuine potential.

side note, i love the headcanon that iris looks up to crowe as a role-model.

Yeah I think that’s the tension, Catch-22 of it all. You feel unworthy and hollow, so you want the things that will destroy you in the end, knowing they will destroy you in the end, while also paradoxically convinced they will save you, and if you don’t pursue it you’ll never know, and you’ll remain unworthy and hollow (but that feeling will be present either way).

Like anon said, the ideal is to love the *thing* you do that could hypothetically make you famous enough to not need fame to fill that desire. But most artists create out of lack, out of a gnawing emptiness, out of a sense that *not* being known is no life at all. So I’d say that the TRUE ideal is to have fame (if you want it) be a natural byproduct of your grounding, not the reverse. But that too is a paradox because nothing comes effortless. If you want fame, you have to work for it, which means your focus is likely misaligned. (Fame for fame’s sake vs. art for art’s sake vs. art for fame’s sake vs. fame for art’s sake… there’s also the aspect of us living in a capitalist society sadly). I know I’m a validation junkie so I’m definitely in the fame for art’s sake category lol despite knowing it’s a Catch-22.

That’s why ascending celebs either never have that grounding or they have to learn it in real time (or re-learn it). The interesting nuance lies in child actors like the ST kids. Because the fame TRULY came before the aftermath of it and before finding any specific passion. That’s why it’s so refreshing seeing how Finn, Noah, and the others have turned out despite all these pressures and nuances. I think this is such a fascinating topic!

This is a really interesting point - that can apply to as small a thing as fandom, too, to make this topic even more accessible. It's the whole idea of - why do we create? Why do we share our work? Would we keep writing fic if no one wanted to read it? Would we share fanart? I know the big positivity movement around here, which is lovely and wonderful, is about "make things for yourself, do things you love for YOU" which, again - that's great. That's true. But, art is also so collaborative, I think. Ultimately. Collaborative in that I think it's difficult to truly believe you're not at least a little bit hoping for an audience. Not impossible, to be fulfilled by creation for creation sake alone, but that's not totally the truth of human nature. I think ultimately we do want to connect.

Hello! I’m here to participate in the Peaceful Team Fortress 2 Bot Protest! If you don’t already know, there’s a serious bot problem within the game! Due to years of neglect, the game isn’t incredibly friendly for new players! Many people still play the game, as it’s such a beautiful peace of work! I’m here to stand by those people today! However, my love for this franchise doesn’t revolve around the game entirely.. No, I’m here to represent a very specific side of this fandom! The ones who focus on the beautiful characters of this franchise! The people who make up headcanons, theorize about lore, and create their own fan characters for this game! I’m more connected to that side of the fandom.

Team Fortress 2 means so much to me. I was in an incredibly toxic mental state about 2 years ago. I was incredibly sad, scared, and various other things under the sun. I was becoming a shell of myself, almost to a point I couldn’t recognize who I was. Somehow, I remembered these animated clips I saw years prior. I don’t recall why I watched them all those years ago, or why I even remembered them at that moment. Though, I searched them up and found them. The “Meet the Team” videos. Curiously, I rewatched them and my life shifted completely.

Immediately, I began reading fanfiction out of complete curiosity. I consumed animated content hesitantly. I was slowly easing myself into this new—yet rather old—fandom I’ve never truly witnessed before. Per usual, I broke the news to my best friend of 8 years. I was expecting them not to share my interests, as we have that problem a lot. It’s always made me sad we never had one fandom in common… Until, they excitedly said they like TF2 as well! I was ecstatic, and immediately consumed all the content I could of this game! I impulsively downloaded the game, watched 2-hour long videos about the game, laughed at shitposts, and read every comic I could. I never felt this good in ages!

Team Fortress 2 unlocked my creativity, after it’s been stifled for so long. I have written words upon words of roleplays. I have thought up so many headcanons, these characters have started to feel like my own. I’ve made too many Spy fan characters, I really need to stop— I’ve written an essay about how this game saved me. I’ve told everyone in my life about it, because I love it so much! I’m closer to my best friend because of it. This game means a lot to me. These characters mean a lot to me!

I’ve tried to take breaks from TF2, but every time I do… I miss it immensely. I love these silly, weird, older men. I love them so much. They make me unbelievably happy. Especially Spy. I cannot tell you exactly why he clicks so well for me, but he does. Anytime I see Spy in anything, I get so stupidly happy. Every Spy meme makes me laugh, and I could watch him move for hours. I love this character a lot. He’s the closest I’ll ever get to a comfort character, I think. He’s my baby, my son. My little man. I love him. He’s wonderful.

These characters are wonderful! They’re so complex and interesting! They’re so filled to the brim with life! The writers put so much love into them! Not to mention, the animation and comic art is beautiful! TF2 just drips with personality!! It’s amazing!

My favorite part is the fandom. The TF2 fandom is one of the more wholesome fandoms I’ve ever seen. I’ve never really seen a controversy within this fandom (maybe it’s because I’m a very recent fan). Everyone is incredibly welcoming, and sorta treat you like you were always there. As soon as I started this blog, and posted my little silly posts, people much more known in this space replied like they’ve always known me. So many people reply with enthusiasm, and show the same exact passion I have for these characters!

Not only that, the SFM community is amazing! They make beautiful animations whenever they can! They’re dedicated, talented people! SFMs are always a blast to watch! They’re very lovely! Not to mention all the fanart people make! It’s incredible! Each piece of art is made with love, passion, and dedication! It’s so exciting to see people express themselves with something they love so much!! We cannot forget those who spend so much time on fanfictions! Or Headcanons! Those who take time to write out requests solely to make others happy! They’re very inspiring people!

I also want to stress how funny this community is. God, these guys are hilarious! Every joke lands and gets a very ugly laugh outta me! You guys are super funny, remember that!!

Finally, I want to address how this community is very strong. Like today! They’re standing together to save a game they love so much. That is dedication! It’s incredibly inspiring.

Team Fortress 2 means a lot to me. It gave me my creativity back. It strengthened my friendship of over 8 years. It introduced me to such a loving, hilarious, talented community. It gave me a small platform to express myself. I’m very thankful for having this silly, little blog. I’m thankful for every follower I have. I’m thankful TF2 exists, frankly. It’s given me so much I adore. I want to see it prosper for years to come.

Thank you for wonderful insight about your DA2 experience. I think it's unavoidable to see spoilers for older video games. I actually didn't pay much attention to Anders in the beginning even during Awakening and only bring him along because he was the only healer in the game. The same happened to 2. I, too also romanced Fenris in my first run because I saw many nice fanarts about him and people said that he has a nice voice (they're not wrong). Fast forward I romanced Anders in a second run and I ended up romancing him most of the time, and he ended up as my main Hawke's romance. I still love my broody boy but something about Handers gave me more brainrot than any DA pair. Not only because Anders has a large narrative role in Act 3 but it's the "me and you against the world" vibes, the parallels between their relationship and Hawke's parents, Justice being able to experience love similar to Aura and Kristoff, and the angst of a mage falling in love. I keep seeing posts that they're unhealthy and Hawke is acting more like a caregiver more than his lover (the worst interpretation because it implies that mentally ill people are a burden to their loved ones), but I don't share those views at all. I actually do like the idea of both Hawke and Anders willing to give up their personal comfort and happiness just so other mages can be free. In a world like Thedas, there's no assurance that Hawke's wealth and status is enough to protect their loved ones (or even themselves as a mage) forever, even Anders ask this in question to Hawke in Act 2, and Merideth felt like she was waiting for Hawke to slip in Act 3. Even if they would never have a normal life, Hawke is used to be on the run because of their family's circumstances, and I felt like being in Kirkwall placed their family in more danger. Well at least that's how I feel after Leandra dying. I also enjoy there are differences between a mage and non-mage Anders romance, I just usually go for mage pairs because I like giving the chantry a headache. I still do wish the in game romance was written better and actually involve Justice (my poor spirit is just a plot device) though I blame the rush development. Also why can I not give him a cat instead of that amulet? Also why can I give Fenris, Isabella and Merril two gifts and he only gets one? And why does the friendmance ending get no kiss at the Gallows but the templar ending gets one? I'll just pretend the mod that brings it to the friendship one is canon.

People can play these games however they want — I can understand the draw of an angst-ridden tragedy, and if people want to headcanon their Andersmance as a "doomed romance" or whatever, that's their business, but to me, the Andersmance has always been far more compelling as a story about hope.

The love story where Hawke and Anders work hand-in-hand to overturn a centuries-old oppressive status quo, spark a revolution, and fight for freedom is infinitely more powerful and hopeful than any interpretation of the Andersmance where Hawke undermines, downplays, or invalidates Anders’ cause or struggles.

I prefer stories about kindness and bravery, about overcoming insurmountable odds, about being a light in the darkness. That's story that Anders' character and the Andersmance offered me. Anders suffered his whole life — being torn away from his loving home as a child, constantly being told he was a monster while growing up in the Circle, watching helplessly as his his lover Karl was cruelly taken away from him, watching his people being beaten, abused and mistreated — and to me, it is a story of hope and healing when you play the game as a Hawke who stands by his side, gladly fights alongside him, regards mages as people, listens to him with compassion, and sees his cause as important and just and necessary.

I admit, I used to believe that Justice was a corrupting influence on Anders at first, but after some time replaying DA Awakening and reading meta on the characters, I have come to completely change my mind: I like the story of Justice being Anders’ strongest ally, who backs him up and validates him, and gives him strength and conviction. I love exploring the positive aspects and potential of their partnership — because again, it becomes a narrative of hope.

You’re also absolutely right in the Andersmance sorely lacking content! 😓 I installed the Anders Dialogue Overhaul mod for the Anders Gallows kiss on the friendship path. And even though I can’t actually give him a cat, there’s the Sleeping Cat for Anders mod that adds a cat to his clinic, and we can just headcanon that Hawke got it for him, haha! 😂❤️

Anon I will be super honest I had no idea that I had anon questions even on at all so when I went into my inbox this was a huge surprise LMAO. A pleasant one though. I'm not really a BNF or anything, I kinda keep a low profile, so this is extremely sweet.

But yeah!! I'm not sure if you're new here (re: to my blog) but I'll give you the backstory anyway. FFT was a foundational game to me growing up. It also is among the games introduced me to video games as a whole; I actually grew up watching my mom and sister play it, and then my brother and I played together when we were a little older. All of us cite it as among our favorites, if not our very favorite. FFT is also one of the few media properties from my childhood that I haven't grown out of. In many ways I feel like I grew into it, as the text is quite dense for a video game and a lot of the finer points and politics flew over my head as a child (not the least because I was playing the PSX version, which I adore, but that translation is not exactly known for its clarity).

I got my spouse @officecyborg to play it when we first started dating, and she liked it all right then, but it wasn't until I replayed War of the Lions about a year and a half ago that she really latched onto it, which was delightful to me as a long time FFT lover with no real place to channel my interest (most of my close circle of nerdy friends haven't played it, and my siblings like it for different reasons than I do). We got really into Delita/Ovelia, which was a delight for the teenager in me who had been obsessed with them (and I guess I still am lol), and I maintain that Zoe has The Best And Most Correct Delita opinions. (Ovelia is my favorite. (: )

Over the course of April/May last year we also wrote in a feverish haze what we lovingly refer to as "the manifesto," AKA a series of interconnected Delita/Ovelia vignettes that frames their tumultuous relationship in a way that we feel reflects what we like most about them. I've yet to read a fic that really captures what I love about their dynamic, though a small handful come very close, so it's been an exciting project. We put it away for a while to focus on other things, but have since returned to it to clean it up, and plan to slowly post it to AO3. One of our favorite scenes from "the manifesto" is already up, actually, since we liked it enough to post on its own, and wanted to present it to the world just in case we abandon the project for other endeavors. You can read it here, if you want. (My spouse and I usually focus on writing our own original fiction that we hope to post as a mixed-media web serial, so "the manifesto" is an unusual side project that we happen to hold very dear.)

Dimitri's Supports

I have waited FOREVER for this. Let's go. And I decided to put my patience to the test, saving Dedue for last.

Since it's Dimitri and I love him, and like Dedue who I also love, he's the only one unlocking all his A-Supports, I'm going to blog all my reactions to them like I did with Dedue. Part of me wishes I thought of this for the other characters, but honestly it would've taken forever lol. Plus Dimitri and Dedue get special treatment because I said so.

Raphael

Starting off with something light hearted, I hope. I do wonder if I'm going to regret not saving this one for the inevitably heavy-handed stuff coming later.

I'm seriously betting this is a support you're supposed to get in part 1 lol. Dimitri sounds young (or maybe I'm just haven't heard non-growl part 2 Dimitri enough yet?)

Dimitri's training made Raphael think he was dying lol. Dimitri's strength is really meme tier.

I need fanart of Dimitri and Chrom co-miserating their mishandled strength breaking something. And Lucina.

Lamo, Raphael has never felt a cramp before. Lucky bastard.

Raphael is a sweetie, going to apologize to his muscles. I really wish they gave him something else to talk about other than muscles and food. Not everyone needs Dimitri tier development, but I think I'd like Raphael a lot more if he just got a smidge more depth.

Got to say, it's a bit jarring to go from "moments away from a suicide charge in the rain" to "lol, Raphael, it's muscle pain." As glad as I am that I got this support, I do think some should've been locked to part 1.

And this isn't just for Dimitri's development. I also saw Marianne and Raphael's B before this support and she reverted back to her part 1 self too.

such a scary guy ... you know, dorm leader being translated as 'housewarden' gives it a prison feel, and i feel like it fits riddle in particular... he definitely sounds like a painful yandere to deal with.... actually, i've been considering writing Its him too! it intrigued me to see how he'd interact with a darling, and his treatment of them/how he'd show his interest! i hope i can show it to you soon! Childe is like a lasagna with all of his layers. ^^;; Seeing that caring older brother side to him really added to his complex nature, but it's a very sweet side nonetheless. Putting on that act for his brother's sake is so nice of him. How can this be the same man who would be a menace to his darling?! ｡ﾟ(*´□`)ﾟ｡

Azul is the glasses guy, yes!! He isn't exactly my type, but his character is interesting to me and I'm starting to see his appeal. I think I like him because of his cunning behavior and the way he gathers information so seamlessly. Also, he's attractive and has scary eel henchmen who would probably capture his darling if they made a run for it. But Ace also became an enjoyable character for me! At first I wasn't sure what to think of him, but I like how he was unrestrained when he was spitting facts at Riddle. King behavior. I'd like to have him as my friend! :D

Those types of characters are very good! As for my favorite dorm, I would have to say either Heartslabyul because Riddle's there I adore anything Alice in Wonderland themed or Octavinelle because I love the ocean and its many sea creatures. You have great taste with your favorite dorm!! Alice in Wonderland has such a pretty aesthetic!

Prison feel... Warden Riddle... Omg. It fits him scarily well!! Actually, 'prison' reminded me of Nanbaka lol. Have you ever read or seen it? It's very funny and I recommend it!! Aside from that, though, he would be such a bother to deal with. Like Scaramouche, he also has high expectations for darling. orz But if you do write something for him, I will absolutely read it!!!!
