Now all we really need is an item called ‘Tactical Vest’ that gives a 50% boost to difference but allows the use of only status moves. They literally have the blue print with the Assault Best.

Unless this is a matter of balance around the fact that there’s more ways to nerf physical attacks and physical attackers than there are ways to nerf special attacks and special attackers.

What I’m saying is the ROM hackers are right and that ‘Scare’ should exist as Intimidate’s special counterpart.

And we should, in fact, replace FRZ with FROSTBITE. And then maybe make a will-o-wisp equivalent like… ‘chilling glare’ and then rename Galar!Arcticuno’s signature move to something like ‘icy gaze’… or maybe name the move icy gaze idk. What’s the first thing that comes to mind when instachill is mentioned? FLASH FREEZE! Yes. ‘flash freeze’.

And then maybe with those balance changes you could give BRN more move interaction beyond Hex and Sparkling Aria.

And maybe it’s finally time to give us all those type combinations that haven’t been done yet? Fairy/Ground? Ground/Normal? Normal/Steel (yes that one robot from Pokestar Studios but I mean COME ON)? A non-mega Dragon/Fairy? Bug/Dragon (hello flygon)?

Which segues into maybe type-adding OR STAB-giving abilities? Ever thought a pokemon should have three types (FLYGON)? Why not Ground/Dragon with some ability called like… ‘chitin’ that adds the bug type? Or why not give Salazzle that sweet sweet dragon type?

And how about some more balancing changes, huh? Make water and poison be super effective against each other! Give bug more resistances cause bugs are actually quite resilient! Bring back pursuit or give steel its ghost resistance or do both! Give Zamazenta the ACTUAL defensive typing and take away Zacian’s fairy STAB! And you KNOW [almost] all those dual-type mythicals with psychic should have been given Fairy

something i just realized about the sages (ignoring how frustrating to use i find the sages abilities overall) when they get their enigma stone they are like wow look at how much stronger i am now!! when its really just a ... clone of them, without the parts that make them interesting- the personality, and they "give" it to you (it doesnt feel like its really yours tho bc, unlike botw, its not intergrated into your moveset- which could have been solved by just adding them to another ability wheel- so it doesnt even feel like they are really yours) but ok i can see why its stronger even if i find it boring to just duplicate the character isntead of actually making their ability be more-

but then at the very end, they join you in the battle and .. dont even make use of it? what where the engima stones even for then? i guess you could bend over backwards and say well its bc their powers cant reach you all the way down there so they have to physical join you- BUT .. when they are right next to you .. shouldnt the connection to them be back anyway? so their clones should return shouldnt they? or is the entire arena just so surpressive of that power that it wouldnt work either way? then again ... what was its use then to get them to have those stones? like how ultra hand is supposedly the focus of the game but doesnt matter to the narrative at all?

(can you unsummon them when they are there?? i havent tried it but i dont think so ..)

like obviously it would be wayy too chaotic if all sages where there twice, especially together with all the ganondorf clones too- but it kinda .. once again... makes it feel meaningless that you even got them the stones? sure they only get to you when you do it but its really just again another check box with no substance, isnt it?

I love looking at all the Screencaps and just... overanalyzing them! Always small details that I didn't pick up on (especially while watching the movie)

Well first off - since it's the gameplay and all - for 30 years, Felix HAD HIS FUCKING EYES CLOSED; LITERALLY AND METAPHORICALLY.

Also, that's just level 1? How many levels does 'Fix-it Felix Jr' have? Does it just keep going until Felix Game-overs?

Does Ralph get thrown off the building every time a level's complete? Poor guy, and then he's treated like garbage - again, metaphorically AND LITERALLY

I think a factor a lot of farming/crafting sims completely forget to include is the aspect of, not just being self-sustaining, but being part of a community and providing for that community. They sometimes put in side quests and stuff where you hand out resources to folks, but, like, a lot of the time you don't need to actually farm much because you aren't even selling your products, or they don't sell for much.

The simple solution, and easiest way to add depth to the farming (because another common problem is the farming lacks depth and can be fully automated without really interacting much with it like it's a chore to eventually overcome rather than the main gameplay loop) is having a rating system. 1-5 stars, higher yields, special yields, one or all of these depending on how well you care for your animals or fertilize your crops. While it can be tedious due to the game's unecessarily slow scaling, I think tale of two towns did this the best by including all of these for the animals and different actions for attaining each. It should feel like more than just a daily button click.

A good farming sim should have you spending lots of time actually working your farm, not because of the scale of the farm, but because of the depth of the care you can put into it. And the time off the farm should be spent interacting with the community in a more in-depth and cyclical way that makes your character feel a part of it. That's the key to those cozy vibes.

Realization

Okay so I'm almost done with the most recent post and it hit me that my Legacy has become more story driven then gameplay which for me explains why it takes me so much longer to post. I haven't made the story easy and some of it doesn't have gameplay functions so its all posing and setting things up. Once we move past this portion of the story I hope to get back to more gameplay type things and will hopefully allow me to post more often. But for the time being its crazy setups and frenzied searches for poses that match whatever crazy idea comes next.

i honestly dont have much more to say about it, i hated it! it was fun sometimes but most of the time i spend restarting levels every two seconds :) and sure — some of that can be chalked up to the fact that im just bad at video games, and especially bad at wii controls — but you gotta be honest, the controls in this game are not good, no matter how you look at it. i kept seeing complaints about the controls of this game and people responding with "umm actually the further you get in the game you can level sonic up to make him control better 🤓 sounds like a skill issue to me" like ... why should i have to continue the game to make sonics movement just a *little* better. basic controls should already be good enough to get through an easy level without problems, this was not the case.
