Tumblr actually grosses the fuck out of me bc you’re just born and you grow up Arab (for me in particular it’s Iraqi) and that obviously predisposes you to being against genocide of Arabs and then you have to justify to some chronically online loser with white guilt why that stance doesn’t come from a place of “looking for clout” “getting notes” “performative activism” but is actually just…….. bc you value your culture & roots & humanity in general ???? I love talking to rabbis as a recent conversion student because the interaction goes something like, "you're converting? Now?! At this time, at this moment in history?!". And they always talk about this influx of jewish convert students they've seen recently, and it's like...

There's this level of respect I get from rabbis for converting at this point in time, but... Has there ever been a good time to be a jew in the last thousand years or so plus? I'm imagining that rabbis and jews in general back in 1492, back in 1290, back in 1349 would have said the exact same thing. So, really, there is only a time to be a jew. Maybe it's not a "good" time, yes, but it is a time. And to me, that's good enough

Married at last!!

This is a silly little comic I drew recently for a wedding-themed event my friend @ganen-cheese and I did together! While our pieces are technically unrelated, I hope everyone will go check out their beautiful comic which is about WX's first morning as husbands! I say this, but honestly I expect everyone has already seen their comic first haha! But no seriously, Cheese's comic is really so sweet and so full of love and I feel it makes a really good followup to this one (even though technically unrelated!!) so I want everyone who reads my silly little comic to go read theirs too! ❤️ (The wedding outfits I've drawn here are based on another one of Cheese's illustrations which you can see here! My eyes were blessed with such beautiful reference while drawing HAHA.)

sometimes i’m sooooo blown away by the fact that kevin is so smart……. like yes he is the fox with the highest grades despite being also the fox with the tightest training schedule and yes he canonically gets called an obsessive genius and yes the extra content explicitly says he is both very smart and very willing to teach people. but really i am thinking about kevin playing reporters like fiddles, jean calling kevin too good of a liar to ever let anything slip, kevin going up to andrew post-game and wordlessly helping cover up the fact andrew is off his medicine by pretending andrew’s racquet had broken (and then proceeding to discreetly crush it in his hand when the foxes gather around andrew), kevin living a lifetime of walking on the edge of riko’s knife, kevin hiding french, hiding thea, kevin spotting potential from a mile away, kevin who even riko thought was brilliant and sharp-tongued. yeah……..!
