Never will I stop with the steadfast notion that folks in the DPXDC fandom should interact with at least some form of canon DC media.
There are comics, tv shows, radio dramas both old and new, podcasts, movies, magazines, so much shit that intentionally avoiding the media is simply preventing yourself from spawning new ideas and gaining a new appreciation for a fandom that you’re already in.
The Superman Radio Show has episodes 11 minutes long. A lot of the TV shows don’t have episodes that surpass 30 minutes and most are nearly fully clipped on the official DC YouTube channel. The amount of fan made motion comics is astounding. The amount of fanmade animations is equally as incredible.

#Episodes that make me go “The author has never talked with a woman ever” 😓😓😓#I don't like how Lucy's character is handled at all. And I feel like I can't talk about it because I'm just going to sound like a bitter–#ss/kk shipper... But I really don't like it. And if it can help my case I'm a multishipper so I really don't take any–#issues with atsu/lucy I like the ship quite a lot actually.#So you're telling me there's this girl... Who meets this boy who pretty much ruined her life by directly causing her to lose her job...#And the next time she sees him she's going to sacrifice her own freedom for him as well as tell him “when you're done doing your things–#come and save me” (longest ewwww ever)... And when she regains freedom (author didn't bother to explain how because they don't care)–#she goes to work... As a waitress at the café beneath his workplace. So he can keep doing his Cool Superpowers Job while she literally–#must serve him every time he visits the place. It's just ?????????????????????????????????#Look‚ I don't dislike Lucy and I feel general affection towards her. It's just that they make her act like no one ever would#Just for the sake of the plot I guess#And like I knoww it's (probably just a little) more nuanced than that. I know Lucy is living her own fairy tale fantasy.#It's just that what I've said about her story is still true‚ you know?#I'm sorry but as sweet as atsu/lucy can be. This anime has women writing standards that feel like dating back to the 20s#Same with Katai and the ideal woman tbh. Like why are women to be seen as this abstract impersonal entities? Kunikida regrets Katai leaving–#the ada but is also happy for him but also worries for him. He comes to his house seemingly to check on him and starts cleaning around.#The way he loves him and cherishes their friendship and shared history is really evident and it makes for a compelling dynamic.#Perhaps I should read their short story... In any case. Going to someone's house and compulsively start doing the dishes half out of will–#to help out half because he can't bear the mess sounds a lot like something I'd do lol

Recent-ish life pictures and etc.
#image commentary in tags once again since they don't allow captions anymore and I feel weird using the alt text for that --#1. bright very poofy cloud sky#2. saw these weird bugs on a sidewalk that were clustered in a pile and some of them were sitting butt to butt or something.. I wonder if#that's how they mate?? or maybe just some sortof strange bug fight or something.. interesting little creature party happening#out on the pavement on that day#3. Its kind of hard to see but on the inside of this watermelon there is a slightly lighter formation that sort of looks like a heart shape#4. special breakfast of scrambled eggs. soy sausages. and jarred artichoke heart. with some black coffee and whipped cream + a strawberry#5. ARBY.. fish ...traditional summer treat available only until like september maybe for like a month. but I love them because theyre cheap#lol.. the next closest/cheapest fried fish sort of option that is easily acessible to me is a more upscale fast food place where you can ge#three tiny little chunks of fish maybe the palm of your hand sized for about $17 lol... so 4 arby fried fish chunks for like $5 is good#6. & 7 - very cool sunset colored sort of pink/yellow/orange flower I found growing wild in someone's yard#8. got as a gift from someone who got it for christmas but didn't really want it and asked if I did since everyone knows Im like The Person#Who's Obsessed With Cats out of any group of people.. but I still havent done it lol.. it just sits there gathering dust until I have#the time on top of my 600 other projects. #My mum left home at 17 without telling her dad because she hated how her stepmom was treating her#and he never tried to contact her or stop stepmom's behaviour and#their relationship is strained to this day#they're basically estranged#And so mum has done everything she could to let her kids know they never have#to leave home by a certain age and that#we'll always be welcome to live with her#She's always like “I love when you're all here it makes me feel so settled. Like ahh they're all safe”#She also only heard her dad say 'I love you' like once so sometimes me and the sibs#will be bantering or something and we'll look up and she's just smiling at us and#we'll be like what? and she says “nothing I just love you”#(we always say it back ofc we're not monsters)#Anyway my mum's adorable <3#And according to the friends of all her kids she's the Cool Mom 😎#parenting#stuff regarding me#Idk I was just thinking about my childhood and it spiraled

me getting my monthly super turbo endometriosis painful period and running out of my prescription acid reflux medication that i have to take daily bcus of how passively shitty and painful my acid reflux is (that apparently cannot be refilled until a week from today so wish me luck w that also fndgshssghdf) THE day before i am finally gonna be able to get my hair fully dyed again by my hair stylist (cus she is willing to come over to my house and do it all here with her tools and supplies and such which i am so ridiculously grateful for 😭💘) for the first time in 4+ years who i also have not even had a chance to physically see and say hello to in person for 4+ years hair styling aside. is like. cartoonishly cruel universe behavior. like both of that happening on the same day??? the day i have to figure out how im going to physically get myself into the shower and retain enough body strength wash my very long thick hair and get clean and not be smelley and nasty when she comes over here tomorrow????? when its been 4 years and she used to dye my hair for me like every few months since i was 11 or 12???????????? speechless. truly and completely speechless

#life drawings from last week#i feel i could have done better but the session itself was fun and i enjoyed doing them#im a bit rusty since i haven't done anything like that for ages and i kind of defaulted to focusing on accuracy i guess#rather than making a conscious effort to be looser/more dynamic idl#idk#like i rly liked one guy's pieces bc he was very bold like a lot of straight lines filling the page thick black charcoal + colours#and the guy next to me had a a squiggly style which was cool .even if he didn't seem to think so lol he wasa bit self deprecating abt it#and i was like noo noo i love the scribbles ..💔#so anyway looking at theirs made me wish id been a bit looser/bolder etc but i think since i hadnt done it in a while it was fine to just#do what im comfortable with quite precise figurative stuff#and tbh i do like these idk#im mad my local gallery stopped doing life drawing but oh well at least ive found an alternative#cant go every week bc its in city like an hour from me + ya know its a bit of an expense + i might be working on some of the days#but hopefully ill go again once or twice at least#original art#tumblr better not flag these looool

One of these days I'm gonna rant about the idea that the thieves' outfits represent "their idea of rebellion" and how I like interesting that concept is.
#idk i have like a lot of notes on this#its done well and not so well tbh depends on the character#overall it makes sense as an idea like i get it#but i hate the way they just say it once and then never bring it up again#also like if their idea of rebellion changes does that mean their appearance would change#is the outfit tied to the persona (example: akechi)#how tf does this work for morgana or is he just here#would this work for other persona users who enter the metaverse? what if the shadow ops rocked up would their look change?#for my own au i just went with yes because yippee more character designs but in canon would it work?#is their idea of rebellion tied to a specific palace?
