i feel as if im going mad so im going to just put this out here. real quick. movieunleashers starters ramble.

i cant stop thinking about how mudkip broke down in that one scene in "Typomaniac," when Chespin called him mean. for a second he lets his mask slip a little bit and to me he just... acts his age. he starts crying and calls chespin mean back. maybe im just hyperfocusing on this one detail but mudkip is about 12 years old.

and that just makes me wonder what happened in this guys life that brought him to where he is now. and it makes it all the more tragic how his whole world revolves around chespin, but he is the one bringing him the most pain. and how young he was when he died.

there is a large theme of growing up in "Rare Candy." the characters ages are emphasized in that particular episode, and one of the main conflicts is fennekin wanting to evolve faster.

the thing about characters in these stories is that they're not allowed to just be kids, to have a childhood. so many bad things happen to them. like. mudkips whole, Everything. fennekin when she was famous in typomaniac, or dealing with her own insecurities/pressure from society about her relationship w chespin. and chespin always having to shoulder his friends problems & always somehow managing to stay positive despite everything.

why cant they just. play video games. eat ice cream or something. go to the movies

at the end of the day, i think both mudkip and fennekin are characters who grew up too fast. by distancing himself from them, chespin refused to follow in their footsteps and just wanted to stay a kid.

good for him.

Lavender Vanilla Cake 🎂 💐

#erin bakes #OK SO! unfortunately the lavender torani syrup is not really a good way to get lavender flavor in the cake #HOWEVER I know that now! and I already have actual food grade lavender extract en route SO! I can revisit this experiment again #HOWEVER HOWEVER! the piping came out OK! the coloring was good! I'm happy I matched the cake & frosting like... perfect #the sugar pearls in the middle of the flowers look cute!#the flowers aren't perfect but I was using docotored store bought frosting so #they were never gonna look GREAT #although the sugar flowes I ordered to decorate with also were a bust. they were supposed to have sugar roses in the pack #but there were NO roses. ZERO. just flat little daisies. I was PISSED. $16 for nothing. so mad I left a review like rrrr 😠#so I just decided to say fuck it! and do the whole thing with drop flowers and practice piping #and using the plating tweezers I got #the cake itself was good! like I said a little disappointing that there wasn't much actual lavender :(#I definitely noticed a difference in the crumb of the cake also cause of the torani syrup #which I was most worried about cause the sugar in the syrup I wasn't sure if it would make it mushy af #but idk it came out cute! so not a total bust!

Rose is sitting on her island, watching an old man. She still has no idea why he moved here. Oh well. It's nice having some some company.

IT'S THE OCEAN OVERLORD PogU

Looks like he asked Rose to for help with the flowers on the monument. He really loved that place ever since Rose has repaired it :D

After they were done, Rose heads off into the nether to hang out with the blaze empress and go out with her on their daily strolls though her kingdom.

Rose has taken some fire res potions before she entered the nether before she'd forgotten thankfully. Even if she did forget, the Blaze Empress had some potions prepared as if it wasn't the first time it had happened. They talked throughout the whole time they were walking.

They finished their daily stroll and Rose heads off back home- OH SHIT THE POTION RAN OUT. ROSE NOOO

After almost herself, she heads off home to her island for the night. She seems to be holding something though?

She's holding lavender? She appears to be sad too :(

She paces the flower down and uses her powers to make sure its roots stick to the ground.

Rose sits down and talks to the flower as if it were a person, she would even let the flower respond to her despite its silence. Rose continuously talks about old memories as if they had made many memories made together.
