⋆𐙚₊˚⊹♡ lyla and xina fashion moodboards
disclaimer : most of these are headcanons on what i think they would wear ! if i made it inaccurate (especially xina’s) i apologise. i haven’t completed the 90’s run but i did do some research on her style !
Tumblr media
starting off with lyla! for lyla, most of the items that i have picked are pink because i think that is her favourite color. lyla is such a fun and quirky character so i feel that she loves clothes with cute patterns on them, like the cat fur coat by lirika matoshi. she would definitely love anything from lirika matoshi because of her unique and colorful designs. as we all know, she wears a pink heart shaped glasses which makes me think that's her favourite shape — as to why i put the heart bag by coberni, the heart earrings, the boots with heart shaped soles (like come on, she would adore those) and the red heart suit though i believe she would like it more if it was in pink or white.
she also adores tights and socks that have bows and laces. i feel like she's the type to experiment with her style, so she would try out wearing those colorful tights with unique patterns. as for jewellery i think she would love wearing pearls, like the iconic pearl necklace from vivienne westwood.
for makeup, glitter eyeshadows are a must! most of her makeup looks are soft and delicate. chunky nail acrylics are her thing too!
Tumblr media
now we move to xina kwan , living in the year 2099 and is obsessed with the twencen aesthetic. her style are mostly retro , so i think she would rock the denim dress as it was popular back in the 60’s / 70’s. there are a few outfits that are inspired by the comics here , which is the blue top and the red/blue cropped jacket that reminds me so much of the varsity jacket that xina wore in the picture above. xina mostly wears yellow , green and blue — hence why i added the green sunglasses and the yellow top which is similar to the outfit she wore when miguel gave her the gumball machine. i also added a new york giants cap as she is a fan of them from my research.
i think she would own a messenger bag because of it’s practicality (many pockets , can put her techs inside) and a retro headphone so she could listen to marilyn monroe :)
as for makeup she probably likes it simple , mascara and smudged eyeliner that somehow looks good and stylish. red lips are a must.
that’s all ! again i apologise if there are any inaccuracies ☺️

[I AM FOLLOWING AYESHA K.FAINES RESEARCH OF FEMININE ARCHETYPES]
↳ the sexual feminine archetype of the queen archetype.
Tumblr media
♇ if you are the diva archetype that means you got the queen archetype as your highest percentage [aside from the lover] and you got the lover percentage higher than 70%.
♇ the diva is one of the sexual feminine archetypes of that belong to the feminine archetype the queen, whereas the other sexual feminine archetype is the empress.
♇ [the queen is the feminine archetype while the diva is the sexual feminine archetype, its associate being the empress].
♇ those who belong to the diva archetype are born to wear the crown, they're deemed to be women who are regal, women who also love the glamorous style and are the type to command respect and adoration.
♇ diva women are also warm and sensual; and they're the epitome of the grande feminine. when people are around them, they are described to have this majestic and larger than life aura.
♇ those with the diva archetype are the type of people who make their partners feel royal.
♇ they're the type to hate being asked so much questions, but they will still try and be polite. they're women who are very forward with what they want in life, even if they're confident women, anxiety still preys on them; they might use another "persona to help them through". like beyoncé with sasha fierce.
Tumblr media
♇ she talks about the sasha fierce persona in this interview; however in other bodies of information, she does convey how sasha fierce helps her to portray the strong and sexy persona she has to on stage.
♇ even if much divas are portrayed to be serious, there's a giggly side to them, a side to them that is always smiling and cracking jokes.
♇ as divas are women who are forward with things, they're most likely able to explain their feelings well.
♇ aside from being expressive vocally, their face will also tell you what they're feeling as well, as a consequence people start seeing them as someone who is blunt and straightforward, and they might even be considered as a bitch because of it. either way, whatever they say still has truth to it.
Tumblr media
♇ some of them are also very religious, it doesnt need to be an Abrahamic religion they're devoted to. they could be very spiritual as well.
♇ moreover, divas are very notable people, their success cannot be denied. moving from success for a brief moment; these are the type of people who are funny without trying. people tend to laugh at whatever they say because of how much they speak their mind.
♇ another reason why some divas are considered as bitches is because when very under-developed, they're the type to make fun of other people or belittle others. they could be perceived as patronising.
♇ they're very trendy women, especially when it comes to humour and fashion. these are women who love clothes and styling, they like to dress in ways that show their extravagance and wealth.
♇ are very specific with the type of things they use, and type of things they like. while doing research on diva women, i've noticed they get asked a lot of weird questions. on the other hand, they either let the hate get to them, or they joke about the things people said about them. [like wonyoung and her cute dance].
♇ when they're not prideful and egotistical, they're open about their struggles. they can be very materialistic and they're aware of what and who they are.
♇ the type to get uncomfortable easily, they like to feel valued and like to have a motivator. or something that can push them through the day.
♇ these women are the type to always have the receipts, whenever they're backing themselves up, they have the evidence to aid themselves. they are usually kind until they're pushed.
♇ linking back to how it is difficult to not recognise their success, it'ss because they're always hitting milestones; they're rich in their culture and their roots [will always shout of their hometown] and they always find a way to include it into what they do. [if not always then majority of the times].
♇ a lot of diva women are aware of how it must feel to be unheard or mistreated, so they will always give credit when it is due. however, they wouldnt mind shading someone if they didn't like them, as i have implied before, they're very open with how they feel and with what they think.
♇ on one hand, when underdeveloped, they must feel attention on them all the time and can be terrible people. they know how to put on a mask and fool others, they're knowledgeable of their behaviour, the character they portray to other people is always for a reason.
♇ on the other hand, a lot of people look up to them, mostly because it is normally known what they're put through. many divas live tragic lives, and it could either be seen through their attitude or through their art.
♇ some diva women are interested in flashy clothing, a lot of people attempt to duplicate their styles and clothing, i believe that because of their versatility and style it makes them so easily loveable or admired. i've observed that these type of women attract foreign fans easily.
♇ on a funny note, i've noticed a lot of them love barbara streissand, she's been mentioned in interviews of dalida, jennifer lopez and aretha franklin.
♇ upon doing research on these women, i've been able to observe that some of them have power issues, or they like to feel superior. due to this, they can come across as bitter.
♇ many of them understand that they don't need a partner, but when they do have that partner they become really loving and devoted to them. however, due to their independent persona, they help set the path for younger generations to feel inspired by.
♇ aside from the other archetypes i have done, i have noticed that people from the diva archetype are most likely to be more underdeveloped? like it's quicker for them to get to a dark stage. they can become people who are very controlling and like to get their way, would step on other people to climb the ladder.
♇ however, their stern behaviour indicates that they are excellent business runners. very "my way or the highway" behaviour.
♇ most of them are household names, the type of people to put their friends and family on the game to reach a higher status. they can be very sophisticated when they're evolved, the type to know when it's the right time and place to do or say something.
♇ like i have implied in this post, underdeveloped ones cannot control their emotions; their words are powerful and can cut deep, but i see this for both archetypes for those under the queen.
♇ when it comes to their sensuality, they're the type to keep long eye-contact, they know what it does to other people and they use it to win over people.
♇ diva women are usually popular within women who are in their status, and a lot of the people who share the same status of them might look up at them. for example, beyoncé is known as the celebrities celebrity. people usually gravitate towards them!
♇ some of them had men beside them when they were getting higher within their path, for example, ari with diddy and beyoncé with jay-z.
other divas ↴
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
♇ divas i put above are aretha franklin, rosie huntington-whitely, ari the don, dalida, natalie nunn and pamela harmin.
♇ understanding the diva archetype, it shows that they can easily give off the impression of a mean-girl. though aside from that, they're the type of people who cant allow themselves to become wealthy and would like to see their loved ones prosper as well.
♇ and to make the diva archetype easier to comprehend i gathered characters from different tv shows or movies that come under the archetype.
♇ beginning from scream queens ⟶ chanel oberlin, a socialite and very cliquéy, she normally liked to hang around people who shared the same status as her, but between the women she had share similar status with, she was most likely the most popular one. a leader, and very mean and bossy, chanel definitely shows how a diva archetype can be so underdeveloped.
♇ onto game of thrones ⟶ cersei lannister, a good example of someone who likes everything to herself. a true mean girl, but she was classy with the way she had done it, she had been able to make a name for herself aside from being a lannister, she was the first female lannister on the throne and like a true diva she could certainly throw some shade, but sometimes it seemed like she couldnt handle it when it was returned to her.
♇ from ever after high ⟶ apple white; in the beginning from what i remember, she was controlling, but in ways that she had wanted everyone to follow traditions. [she was a lowkey mean girl, the type of ones you dont realise until later], anyways back to what i was saying, in the beginning she didnt realise how other characters did not want to follow the path that was their "fate/destiny" she's another character that shows how oblivious and selfish divas can get when low, or when they're used to getting their ways.
♇ next is from monster high ⟶ cleo de nile; i believe that this one is a very obvious one. she is a likeable character [and is even one of my favourite monster high characters] though it doesnt erase the diva, and i want it all energy; she is glamorous and expressive, will say anything that is in her mind even if it's the meanest thing, can have a habit of using people or manipulating them for her needs. dated the most popular man in the school too!
♇ moving onto squid game ⟶ player 212 or known as han mi-nyeo, aside from her bratty and stuck up behaviour, i noticed she used men as a way to climb up the ladder and gain protection like the queen archetype she is, but she definitely doesnt fall into the empress archetype, more like onto the vengeful diva archetype.
♇ onto mew mew power ⟶ mint aizawa or if you've watched the 4kids version, corina bucksworth, i feel like her character is a great example of a diva archetype when they're very devoted to someone, mint devoted to her brother, and zakuro/renee; she is a socialite that doesnt need to be around any man to bring up her status, but she already worked with men who were financially well and intelligent, ryo/elliot and keiichiro/wesley.
♇ from twilight ⟶ rosalie cullen/hale, if you've watched or read the twilight franchise, you'd know that the woman had a sad backstory when she was a human socialite, being married to a powerful man who used her as an arm candy and took advantage of her with his friends during a night out. currently as a vampire, she is a fierce woman but quite bitter as she doesnt like the fact that bella is choosing her own life path to become a vampire; love rosalie but the choice wasnt hers to get upset over!
♇ next with glee ⟶ santana lopez, if you've read this far then it's evident that santana is an obvious diva. she's quite the underdeveloped one but when the show progress you can tell that she slightly becomes a better person, she's just outspoken and harsh with her words. she was in the cheerleading team and in glee it was a cliqué/high-status thing to be apart of. and like the diva archetype she had an alter ego named, snixx.
♇ moving to mean girls ⟶ regina george, she should've been on top of the character list, she's a classic when it comes to diva women. likes to cling onto people who can give her status, or likes to be around the most attractive or popular man. she was more of a person who barely said mean things to people's face, [well half the time she did], but there were moments when she hid shades within her compliments, specifically during the moment when she asked about the girl's skirt.
♇ lastly with elite ⟶ lu/lucrecia montesinos hendrich, she was a character with great development, she cared for the people around her and would always back up one of her closest friends carla; she only hung around people of her status and was a confrontational and forward diva, very loveable character!
♇ within my research, i noticed that a lot of diva women are most likely going to have scorpio, leo or capricorn in their big three/six; in order.
♇ they're also most likely going to be scorpio, leo or capricorn dominant; in order.
♇ the planets venus, moon and sun dominance appeared the most in their natal charts; typed in order.
♇ the element that had appeared the most in their natal chart was water, second was fire and third was earth.
♇ finally, when it comes to modality, the one that appeared the most in their charts was the mutable modality!

Goth wardrobe advice
hiiiii baby bats!!!! I just wanted to write a lil post on how to start building a goth wardrobe! I started around 6 months ago and I’ve been very happy with the looks I’ve been able to create, and I thought to just write down how I was able to rlly curate my aesthetic! (though I will tack onto this post that goth is a music based subculture so you can be goth without fancy elaborate looks)
when it comes to shopping for clothes, my personal advice is buy individual pieces, not outfits. meaning you buy clothes with the intention of mixing and matching which will save money and help you from over-buying. plus flexibility in your wardrobe allows for more fun and creativity!
the look
The first step to creating your style is to envision what kind of look you want to go for. goth style pulls from so many different sources! Trad goths from the 80s evolved from punk, and subsequent iterations of the style have Victorian, glam, etc sentiments. you can lean more romantic or more edgy, it’s up to you! the first step is to create a vision board. I love Pinterest personally. from there I typed “trad goth” “casual goth” “90s goth” and streamlined what I want to emulate. Don’t forget to watch goth rock music videos for style inspo- siouxsie is my personal icon and wore such interesting things, as well as Patricia Morrison! there’s also a level of gender nonconformity in goth that you can lean into. for instance, I’m femme but with a shaved head that really compliments my style and makes me feel really confident. It’s all so variable and individual. one of the original tenets of goth was the DIY aspect, which I think is super important. don’t be afraid to rip, cut, add safety pins, or paint on clothes you buy.
shopping
shopping for goth clothes has a lot of misconceptions. you really don’t need to ever buy from a fast fashion site like killstar or dollskill to get the looks you want. In fact most goths would prefer that you look elsewhere at first, bc a lot of us aren’t comfortable with the way our subculture has been commodified and commercialized. thrift stores have given me tons of luck. I typically prefer red white and blue, but goodwill can have good stuff too! (now, thrifting is more environmentally friendly, but that doesn’t mean that the company is ethical, like Salvation Army and goodwill. it’s a matter of choosing what’s right for your personal values.)
you can buy black clothes at pretty much any store which makes creating outfits somewhat easy. shop where you can afford it and what has good options for your body type and comfort level. I buy most of my stuff secondhand but I own a few things from H&M and Pacsun. pacsun has amazing corset tops that are affordable during their sales, and H&M has foundational pieces for okay quality. Try Depop too because I LOVE vintage clothes and you can find amazing things on the app, like dresses from the 90s and 70s blouses!
General wardrobe items
here’s what I bought when building my wardrobe:
- black trousers
- black skirts (midi AND mini. I prefer long skirts but I like to have choices)
- band tees for my fav goth bands
- a white button down blouse
- bustiers/corsets. I have incredible luck thrifting them but some I’ve gotten new. They’re sexy and fun on their own but even cooler layered over something!
- tights! fishnets are a must as well as solid sheer black and other fun patterns
- dresses in plaid or solid colors. you don’t have to JUST wear black, in fact siouxsie wore tons of color back in the day. black is just what we’re known for but maroon, purple and white are great too.
- long sleeve sheer tops. I have one black mesh and one black lace top. These can be worn over bras for an edgier look or under band tees to add texture and complexity.
- SHOES! I don’t buy secondhand shoes only bc I have wonky feet. My two main pairs are my doc martens Jadon platforms and Mary janes. Shoes are an entirely personal decision so do your research! A lot of ppl like Demonias but I haven’t swung for those yet.
- accessories, accessories, accessories. Perhaps what makes someone recognizably goth is our funky accessories. I have multiple belts, ranging from the standard black with grommets to a triple belt and a corset waist cincher. I buy my jewelry off Etsy or I buy them from flea markets, and I lean towards ankhs bc I’m a sandman nerd lmfao. (I own 3 ankh necklaces, a bracelet, and two pairs of earrings oops). I also have a few silver crucifixes and a spiked collar.
- outerwear. I’m a leather jacket aficionado and I hand painted a trad goth jacket, but other options are black long coats and blazers. vests are pretty great too.
final notes
I’m a baby bat myself so I, too am learning the ropes and exploring my style. remember that it’s about self expression and making yourself stand out, not uniformity. there are so many unique alternative subcultures and no one is stopping you from pulling from all sorts of inspo! Remember to have fun when shopping or getting dressed above all else!!!!
other great resources can be found on r/gothfashion and from goth YouTubers!

Tips on how to find cute vintage clothes
•❅───✧❅✦❅✧───❅•❅───✧❅✦❅✧───❅•
this post is inspired by a tiktok from @blackhairedbrat go watch it and show it love!!
Knowing your tastes:
theres so many things to look into when it comes to vintage clothes. obvi, u wanna start with what period of time u aspire to dress like. late 90s, early 2000s, mid 80s, 50s-60s, 2010s (not really vintage but its definitely making a comeback). also knowing what styles looked like during those times in different countries can definitely broaden ur horizons. examples like japan during the 90s, central europe in the 2000s, and the U.S. in the 70s can definitely open u to new things u didn't know u are into. pick and choose stuff, make it ur own, its all up to u on what ur signature look is!
once u settled on a time period(s), research into the fashion scenes. there are many sub-genres of fashion back in the day that translate into the aesthetics we know today, such as goth, preppy, grunge, mcbling, futuristic, and many more. go with whatever fits ur personality or even a version of urself u always wanted to be. see whats compatible with your proportions; what u wanna accentuate and minimize, the materials of clothes and colors, the makeup, any and all of it!
once u got all ur shit figured out, make a mood board, follow some brands that were popular during that time, and start curating your closet. get rid of anything that u don't really wear anymore or that u feel doesn't suit ur vision.
Where to look:
thrift stores like savers, salvation army, goodwill, etc.
online shops (depop, grailed, etsy, poshmark)
shop locally (go to pop up shops/flea markets, follow people on instagram that sells secondhand, use related tags to find users, etc.)
ask for hand me downs from relatives, friends, literally anyone who u know had pieces from the desired era u wanna dress like
malls! the more run down the better! look for stores that are reminiscent of clothes u want.
small businesses that garner towards a certain aesthetic!
Other helpful tips:
FIND ALTERNATIVES! nothing is ever ideal. beggers can't be choosers right?
when leaning into more of the punk/alternative stuff, DIY it to make it more authentic. i do it all the time its fun!
trading. (sorta tied to both the online shops and locally shop points previously) surprisingly, people will trade their stuff as long as u have something equally as good or valuable. just gotta look at the right places on the internet and stay safe.
↶*ೃ✧˚. ❃ ↷ ˊ-↶*ೃ✧˚. ❃ ↷ ˊ-↶*ೃ✧˚. ❃ ↷ ˊ-↶*ೃ✧˚. ❃ ↷ ˊ-↶*ೃ✧˚. ❃ ↷
Have fun and don't get scammed, u fashion icon!

Independent Excursion 1: Academic Cultural Reflection of Night Markets.
Tumblr media
I’ve gone to an absurd amount of night markets throughout our numerous days in Taiwan, both independently and with the entire study abroad group as an excursion. I’ve been to most night markets around the Taipei area but the one I’ve gone to the most by far (a whole three times!) is Shilin Night Market. Not going to lie, I’ve definitely spent well over $4000 NTD within the few hours I’ve been there. There’s such a huge variety of different stalls, ranging from clothing stores, to arcade style challenges, to claw machines, and of course food.
Faith and I had gone to the Shilin Night Market on our 2nd day officially in Taiwan (we had come to the country a few days before the main group arrived) and it was my first real experience of one. I’ve been to Chinatown in New York and have heard tales of my mother’s haggling adventures in Hong Kong secondhand but the reality was even better than what I could imagine. There was so much to see and do it was almost overstimulating.
When googling things to do in Taiwan”, night markets are guaranteed to be on the list. Frequented by both natives and tourists alike, they’re a crucial part of Taiwanese society. It’s a center for fostering community, stimulating economic growth, preserving current culture and innovation. But what draws people to night markets in the first place? This study from Chuang et al. (2014) finds that the main contributors to the high number of people going to night markets being “the low unit prices, with products under US$3.30 compromising approximately 70% of [the market]”, the festivals/performances, and the servitude of the vendors.
Being someone who has gone to multiple night markets in my short time in Taiwan (just a bit over 2 weeks!), I completely attest to all points given. I've noticed that the pricing of things here are pretty similar or even more expensive than it is in America, with the main price disparity being the food costs. How could I resist myself from trying as much food as possible when it’s so cheap?
But don’t let all my yapping about food fool you: night markets aren’t just a place to eat. Because of how ingrained they are into Taiwanese culture, they also act as social gathering spots where family, friends, and colleagues alike can come together to mingle about and enjoy a unique atmosphere unlike anywhere else. I had such a fun time going around the night market, both alone, with Faith, and with a huge group. It’s a different experience every time and I’ll really miss it when I go back to boring Gainesville.
In recent years, though, local Taiwanese government has been actively trying to curtail the prevalence of night markets, they continue to flourish in modern times, though not to the same extent (Taipei Times, issue 09/05/2009). I didn’t initially understand why the government would be trying to make night markets less prevalent in society considering how it makes up such a huge part of its society, but upon further research, I understand why.
It’s not the most hygienic place: the stalls are tightly packed and air-flow isn’t the best. COVID-19 only exemplified these concerns, as the crowded nature of night markets was a super-spreader hub. The noise and waste generated by the night market can also be detrimental to the environment and the people living next to them. Despite all these downsides though, the importance the night markets serve cannot be denied by anyone, which is why they’re still so many today despite such a large number of concerns. They also act as competition with more formal business - the ones we see more often in America. It's a delicate balance between preserving culture and reducing health and safety concerns. Tai, W. P., & Chang, J. (2015)
These night markets are a livelihood for thousands of Taiwanese citizens but contrary to what I had assumed before, the vendors at the night market aren’t only those who can’t find employment elsewhere but, in fact, are mostly people who chose this profession as an alternative to the traditional “dead-end laborious 9-5 white collar jobs” (Liu, Yu. 2009).
Though I hadn’t put much thought into this initially, this really does make sense. East Asian societies put a huge emphasis on education, big company jobs, etc, and Taiwan is no exception. Being a child of Chinese immigrant parents myself, I know just how much the pressure is to “succeed” both academically and professionally. I completely understand why the youth would be drawn to this. To those who are tired of the mundaneness of everyday life, tending a stall in the very night market they might have grown up going to seems like such a wonderful escape from the “rat race”.

Who the hell is this 70s bitch?? (OC info under the cut!)
(Retro) Disturbia | She/Her | Femme Lesbian | Human | ~30? | 193 cm / 6'4" | Australian
Before Disturbia became a world famous fashion designer - she was just a simple cringefail slob busy leeching off her cousin Clayton, making very little effort to actually pursue a career in fashion design. She hates her job as a waitress at a shitty diner, and will take out all her misery on you should you be subjected to her service. She works to live at the weekend, where she can indulge in every one of her addictions (and she has most of them). Her penchant for hedonism often leads her to clash with Clayton, who detests Disturbia's lack of self-care and control. However they're also the only people weird enough to understand eachother, connecting them on a deep familial level. At this point in time, Disturbia is a far cry from her later successful self ... but everything changes when Clayton is sent to prison for her serial murder crimes, and suddenly poor old Disturbia has to strike it out alone.
Common activities/hobbies: Disturbia's main hobbies are partying and doing drugs (and to her credit, it is the 70s). However her actual hobbies include a genuine love for fashion design. She also loves photography, and has her own dark room in which to develop her film. She finds the perfect combination of these two activities in taking photos of women modelling her clothes (usually her girlfriends, or ex-girlfriends, given she's bad at keeping them for long). Setting: Set in the 70s, when Disturbia is a younger woman. She works at a shitty diner as the world's rudest waitress. Clothing style: Disturbia is thriving in the 70s, and desperately wants to dress extravagantly (think Cher). However unfortunately she is limited by her non-existent budget, and so if she wants to wear a statement piece it has to be one she has made herself from the raw materials. She'd love to be wearing a full length exquisite mink coat, however her budget only really allows for a homemade fur coat made of rabbits (Clayton caught and skinned the rabbits for her).
You can draw them with:
Clayton (cousin) - Her ever suffering cousin, Clayton and Disturbia initially seem a very strange combination given they're exact opposites. However Disturbia is entirely unbothered by Clayton's unemotional and mean personality, and is also entirely unbothered by her criminal activity. Clayton does her best to tolerate Disturbia's laziness and lack of self preservation also. They do still clash often, but they always smooth it over somehow. Forever linked by their shared interest in the macabre.
Sera (But a 70s AU version) (student) - Clayton's ever suffering research assistant, Sera occasionally runs into Disturbia. They get along pretty well (considering Disturbia is much less acerbic and much more fun than Clayton), much to Clayton's annoyance.
Additional stuff to keep in mind: This is an alternate universe version of Disturbia, because I love her too much and there is too much fun to have with her in her younger days (Also I just really like the 70s aesthetic, and 70s Australia is an extra good setting).
Some random trivia:
The white stripe in her hair is the result of a childhood mistake in a stupid hair dyeing request she made to Clayton. She used much stronger toxic chemicals than a normal person would, and the resulting strip was permanent.
She is deathly afraid of bugs and arachnids (but is also somehow fine with helping Clayton bury a body).
She has a semi-psychotic obsession with fur.
She's been caught driving under the influence so many times.
Clayton is so convinced that Disturbia will kill herself in a car crash that she ripped apart Disturbia's shitty car and now Disturbia has to ride a bicycle to work everyday.
Her skin sucks because she doesn't understand she should be wearing sunscreen.

How to make fashion jewelry coordinate your retro outfit?
Creating a well-coordinated look with retro fashion jewelry can enhance the overall appeal of your outfit. Whether you're aiming for a '60s, '70s, '80s, or any other retro vibe, here are some tips to help you coordinate fashion jewelry with your retro outfit:
Tumblr media
1. Research the Era:
Understand the key characteristics of the era you're emulating. Each decade has its own style, so research fashion trends, colors, and popular jewelry styles of that time.
2. Color Palette:
Stick to the color palette of the era. For example, earthy tones and muted colors were popular in the '70s, while bold, vibrant colors were more common in the '80s.
3. Statement Pieces:
Choose one or two statement pieces. Retro jewelry often featured bold, oversized pieces. Consider large earrings, chunky necklaces, or vibrant bangles.
4. Mix and Match:
Don't be afraid to mix different types of jewelry. Combine bracelets, necklaces, and earrings, but ensure they complement each other rather than clash.
5. Material Matters:
Pay attention to the materials used in retro jewelry. For example, pearls and gold were popular in the '60s, while plastic and neon colors dominated the '80s.
6. Vintage or Vintage-Inspired:
Consider wearing authentic vintage pieces or modern jewelry inspired by the retro era. Mixing both can create an eclectic and personalized look.
7. Coordinate with Clothing:
Match the style and neckline of your clothing with the jewelry. If you're wearing a high-necked '60s-style dress, opt for statement earrings rather than a necklace.
8. Hair Accessories:
Use retro-inspired hair accessories like headbands, hair clips, or barrettes. These can add a finishing touch to your overall look.
9. Layering:
Experiment with layering different pieces, especially if layering was popular during the chosen era. Combine multiple necklaces or stack bracelets for a bohemian '70s vibe.
10. Consider the Occasion:
Tailor your jewelry choices to the occasion. Daytime looks may call for more subtle pieces, while nighttime or special events can accommodate bolder, more glamorous choices.
11. Personal Touch:
Add a personal touch by incorporating pieces that reflect your own style. This could be a modern twist on a retro trend or a piece with sentimental value.
12. Balance:
Aim for balance in your overall look. If you have a bold statement necklace, consider more understated earrings or vice versa.
13. Try Before Committing:
Experiment with different combinations before settling on a final look. Trying on different jewelry with your outfit can help you find the perfect balance.
Remember, the key is to have fun and express your own style while paying homage to the retro era you're inspired by. Mix and match until you find a combination that makes you feel confident and stylish.

Diane Von Furstenberg Store Visit
Tumblr media
Belgian fashion designer Diane is most known for her wrap dress. As the wife of Prince Egon von Fürstenberg, she entered the German princely House of Fürstenberg in 1969, which led to her early rise to fame. The headquarters and flagship store of her fashion line, Diane von Furstenberg, are situated in Manhattan's Meatpacking District. DvF is sold in more than 70 countries and 45 free-standing stores throughout the world.
The store located near Chelsea Market is beautiful and huge! It was exciting to see a new store and learn about a designer who I wasnt so fimiliar with. The store was super coloful and had an amazing layout, there was something placed to catch your eye in every corner. Whether it was a large pink neon sign, or a display of shoes, layered like a cake. Here are some pictures I captured from my trip.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I espeically loved all of the pink, orange, and summer colors used. I did some research on her dresses, and the most popular "Wrap dress" and noticed most of the patterns from the dresses are whats placed around the store! The store reminded me of a huge version of small beach shop I visit in Asbury Park every summer. They both have that summer vibe espeically with the big white palmtrees and crazy patterns.
Although this style of clothing isnt my main choice.... sometimes taking a visit to a big store like this one is fun for a field trip. Not always a shopping trip. It is fun to see the way the store is designed to draw your attention towards certain materials, shapes, patterns, and displays. I am happy I saw this store, and would definetly visit it again next season!

Accepting some wishes? Would be so kind as to beef me up into a hunky black guy?
Always accepting some wishes! Hmm wanna get beefed up into a hunky black man? sure, why not? sounds easy enough, so lets get started. First we gotta open the flood gates to melanin, don't worry it won't hurt but its definitely going to make you a lot darker, next we need to move on to restructuring your hair, make it a lot thicker and whilst we're at it lets make it grow a shit tone faster too just because I feel like it. I hope you are well versed in black hair care because you are going to have to spend a couple hours on it each night, but for now lets just have you start with a short simple style, just in case you need time to research how to take care of it, oh I almost forgot the muscle! well looks like someone has been eating their veggies because you sure are packing on the strength quick! There we go, snap a pic of the new you a sexy black man!
Tumblr media
but, geez, it seems I'm a total fucking idiot! you wanted to "be beefed up into a hunky black guy" sure this is sexy but its not exactly beef, well bud those muscle aren't going to pump themselves, oh wait they are! a fun little currr....blessing, Its a fun little blessing, you don't even need to work out and you'll keep beefing up. So, to recap we've got the sexy black part down, the beef is going to set in really soon, the hair is going to grow much quicker because who doesn't love a guy with hot thick hair and you can do whatever you want, completely ignore working out and still have an incredible body, welp, lets check on you in a week and see how you are doing?
Tumblr media
Damn look at that muscle really starting to swell in, and the hair good job keeping it washed but it probably needs a trim soon, oh? you got it cut yesterday? well its fine it looks good just make sure to get the sides trimmed up every other day or so unless you want a full on afro which who could deny would be a hot ass look. Your pecs feel heavy? well they had to be your largest feature, get the eyes drawn in ya know, its fine you'll get used to it and you wont be like my other clients so over massed you can barely move but you aren't as big as you'll get, give it another week, maybe 2 and you'll be looking at another 70-90 pounds of clean muscle, then the growth will stop. anyway enjoy your new beefed (well, still beefing) up hunky black bod bro, you'll have guys drooling all over you in no time, just make sure you wear some baggy clothes for a little while, I'd hate to see you have a little growth spurt and rip up a fancy dress shirt whilst out to dinner.

Entry 6 in my historical Disney Princess series: a beauty but a funny girl, that Belle!
I’ve really been looking forward to doing this one because Belle is my favorite Disney lady (tied with Cinderella) and I’ve also got a thing for fashion from the second half of the 18th century. I knew firsthand that Disney’s Beauty and the Beast would have to take place during the 1700s, since the original fairy tale, “La Belle et le Bete” was first published in the 1740s and a good handful of the concept art shows that the artists and animators were definitely going for an 18th century flair. Of course, like any Disney movie, it has its inaccuracies - one of them being the silverware forming the Eiffel Tower, which wasn’t completed until 1889, during “Be Our Guest”. They could have gone with Notre-Dame, but I guess audiences would have recognized the Eiffel Tower more. I don’t know. Anyway, B&TB has always had an 18th century flair to me, and this is retained in the (needless to say, atrocious) live-action remake, so that’s what I went with for Belle. For a time frame for research, I chose the 1760s - 70s, since fashions from this era seemed to suit Belle much better than the outrageous court gowns from during the French Revolution.
Working-class clothing for women seems to have changed little during the second half of the 18th century, so designing my historically-inspired version was easy enough. It consists of an underskirt/petticoat, a jacket/short gown (an upper layer worn by lower class people that saved fabric and also allowed for mixing and matching garments), an apron (as per the original design), and a fichu, a sort of lightweight shawl. Along with this extant example of a middle-class ensemble (wasn’t sure if it was too rich for a working class outfit? Anyway I thought it was pretty and suited Belle), I studied several paintings and drawings of working-class women from between the 1750s and 1770s, such as this and this. This and this were also a great help. I also gave her a mob cap and a bergere hat, like this one, as a working-class woman like Belle most likely would have covered her head while going out and about although I added a few haphazard strands of hair poking out, as in the movie, as I always thought those wayward strands of hair described Belle's carefree, easygoing personality so wonderfully. I also thought it would be a fun, period-accurate way to incorporate the hair ribbon she wears in the original design. The pink striped pattern I added to her short gown was just a pop of color other than blue, to avoid monotony.
The green library gown and pink "Something There" gown are essentially combos of a bunch of different "robes a la Anglaise" from between the 1750s and 1770s. The green gown, for instance, contains the general shape, underskirt, and ruffled trims down the overskirt of this gown, the ruffle around the neckline, button-front, and sleeves of this gown, and the floral pattern of this gown. The pink one is modeled after this dress and features similar trims to this gown (the pink one) and a fichu with a rose in the center like the one on this dress. And, with both outfits, I designed Belle's hairstyles after this portrait from the 1770s, of a woman whose hairstyle already looks a lot like Belle's ballgown hair! So I guess that style was pretty much accurate after all! My goal for both of these outfits was to design dresses that were lush and elegant, dresses that would have been in the Beast's castle, but not as extravagant as Belle's ballgown, as I wanted to depict Belle adjusting to life in the castle. Oh, and I also included another view of Belle in the pink dress, this time with a cloak, inspired in part by this one, over it.
And, last but certainly not least, we have her ball gown. I swear, I designed and scrapped at least two ideas for this one. It was the one I was looking forward to doing most, but in the end the hardest to design. I ended up looking at so! many! gowns!!! for inspiration. I found two mustard yellow robes a la francaise from the 1760s that absolutely screamed Belle so of course I had to throw a bit of them in there. I was also hugely inspired by the portraits of Madame de Pompadour by Francois Boucher, specifically this one and this one. They are from the 1750s, but I felt it would make sense for Belle's gown - hell, any of the dresses kept within the castle - to be from a decade or two ago, since the Beast kept himself in isolation from the world for a decade. And they give off huge Belle vibes too - the frills, the trims, the roses - ESPECIALLY the roses! After all, I wanted there to be a few touches of color in this sea of golden yellow - more specifically, ornamentation in the form of red roses. The trim at the bottom of the underskirt is a shout-out to the sashes adorning the skirt of Belle's gown in the original design. I was initially against adding bows to the stomacher, but I had no idea what to do otherwise, so I went with the bows, and now I think they look exquisite and don't take too much away from the other details! What do you think?

hey there :)
this ask pop up on my mind a few days ago, and i couldn't find anything similar in here, so i thought i should ask! since k is very old, would there be one period of time, like 70s, 80s or 90s that amused them the most? or they don't care/don't have one/never thought much about it? like the style, music, food (?), etc
hope you have an awesome day! love your if <3 xoxo
oo what an interesting question. i had to do some quick research on this but i think K would most enjoy the 70s.
fashion varied from country to country, of course, but the 70s had the trend that they could tolerate. the 80s workout clothes and the 90s streetwear are too far from their style for them to wear themself. the 60s weren’t so bad either, but they could do without the tie-dye and polka dots.
in terms of music, they enjoyed a mix of the 70s and 80s—anything past the 90s soured their tastes.
as a whole, any period after the 70s were the best for K. they were alive for both the world wars (and then the following cold war) so they can’t say they enjoyed any of those periods. even if you were distanced from it all, so much of the world was affected by the events that it ruined all the fun. despite their dislike of humans, they see the war as a huge waste of life and while they didn’t go out of their way to help (by joining the army etc.), they did what they could (especially in the healing department).

The BNHA x Chobits AU that no one, not even Mineta, asked for.
The ramblings of my mind under the cut. Warning, it’s loooong.
Okay, so bear in mind that I only watched four episodes of Chobits and it was probably about 14 years ago, and also I didn’t really like it, lol
-Todoroki finds Midoriya laying on some bags of trash next to a dumpster.
-First he’s like “oh no, I need an adult,” because for all his “training,” dad never actually told him what to do when he found a dead body, (this is the summer before he starts U.A., so he’s still living at home). Endeavor is away for a week, and Fuyumi doesn’t count to him (sort of an Aristocats, “she’s not [an adult,] she’s just a sister!” thing). While he’s trying to remember that the police exist, he notices this dead body has very strange ear-like things. He comes closer to investigate. There are lots of weird body types in the world, because of quirks, but these things look metal, which isn’t unheard of, but something about these ears just strike him as unnatural.
- Good news, it seems like a robot, not a dead body. The ears open easily, and there are buttons inside. A power button (that’s right CHOBITS!! It’s in the ear! My love story isn’t going to start with molestation), some USB ports, an aux port, a slot for a microchip or SIM card or whatever, some sort of safety switch (he flips that on)…what really convinces him this is totally a robot are the blutooth and volume buttons (that’s right, Midoriya in this au can charge phones AND he’s a speaker, although the volume buttons’ primary function is to control the volume of his voice).
- He has no good reason for taking this thing home. It weights a ton, it’s awkwardly naked, except for some bandages wrapped around it, which do nothing to hide how anatomically correct this robot is, and he already has a phone charger, so he really has no use for it.
- He feels weird about it though. While he was checking out the ears, he touched its face and the skin was soft and warm. He checked for a pulse, just out of curiosity, and found one. It looks like a person, aside from the ears, and it feels like a person. He feels bad leaving it in the trash. So he takes it home.
- Cue comedy routine where he gets this thing, not just in the house, but to his room without Fuyumi noticing.
- Once in his room, he hits the power switch. Nothing happens. He holds the power switch. Bingo. Robo-boy powers to life, bright, adorably large green eyes open. He’s holding it in his arms, and it’s still all tied up. It looks up at him and says hello.
- He drops it.
- He apologizes as he picks it back up, tugging at the wrappings to try to get its arms free. He realizes he needs to get pants, or at least boxers, for it, because it’s awake now and very much naked.
- For the very first time, he realizes that this adorable, thin-yet-lean-muscled, between 14-16 looking robo-boy might have been someone’s weird sex doll. They probably threw it away because they found a real person to date and they didn’t want them to know about their underage sex robot. This also sort of explains the pulse; the mystery pervert person probably programmed a fake pulse and did something to make his skin warm, to make him feel more real. Gross.
- He’s broken from these thoughts when the robot speaks. It says, “Please insert memory bank files or turn on base memory.” Todoroki is already freaking out, because this thing wants its memories, and he doesn’t have them. He opens the ear again and investigates. Next to the empty slot, there’s a small button labeled BM. Base memory? Sure, why not. He pushes it.
- The robot goes blank faced for a few seconds. When he comes to, he looks at Todoroki, then the room, then down at himself. He flexes his arms, trying to break the bands around him, but stops, saying, “Safety mode is on.”
- Todoroki finishes helping unwrap him, awkwardly doing so while pointedly looking away, once he gets to his lower half. Once he’s free, he goes and gets a pair of boxers and throws them in his direction. “Can you put them on?” He’s curious if the robot can do something like that unaided, and also he doesn’t want to cloth it himself, because even though this is a robot, it looks like a very cute boy his age. And it has a pulse. He can’t stop thinking about that.
- The robot puts on the boxers, after inspecting them for a second. He honestly does struggle to figure it out for a moment, cause he has zero common sense, but he does figure it out. It probably takes him about a minute. Once they’re on, he stands and starts inspecting the room.
- “Do you have a name?” seems like a dumb question, but he asks anyway and the robot answers, “I’m Project Midoriya.”
- Background info time. Midoriya is not fully a robot. He was kidnapped just seven months ago, coming home from school. It was the day of the sludge villain attack, but he got nabbed before they could cross paths. AFO wanted a quirkless person to experiment on. He did his research and found Midoriya Izuku, a quirkless boy with no friends and little family, who wouldn’t be missed very much. He’s confident enough that he won’t get caught that he titles his new project by its name: Midoriya. Midoriya’s memories are still in his mind, but they’re suppressed. AFO found it easier to backup his memories to a chip, so he could remove them as needed. When they were installed, Midoriya responded best to his own name anyway, so calling him that was also the easiest thing. Without his memories, AFO found him a bit annoying, because he had no social skills or common sense. He needed to be taught, which he didn’t have the patience for, so usually he just left the memories in. He was a timid boy anyway and easy to intimidate, especially if he threaten to hurt his mom.
- The cops figure his disappearance was maybe a runaway situation, but given his track record and the profile on him they’d compiled from listening to his mom, classmates, and teachers, they figure it’s more likely a kidnapping or murder. Fun fact though, he got kidnapped the day Bakugou told him to kill himself. Obviously no body is found, but he knows people go to forests to hang themselves, or put weights in their pockets and drown themselves. Those bodies can take years to find. So while all of this is happening, Bakugou is out there just every day, “what have I done, what have I done, what have I done?” When they finally see each other again, Bakugou freaks out and Midoriya’s suppressed memories are triggered. Bakugou demands answers, Todoroki is confused and defensive, and Midoriya is just, “System overload. Shutting down,” and then face plants to the floor.
- Anyway, back to Shouto. He asks Midoriya if he remembers anything. Midoriya has exactly one memory (or at least, one easily accessible memory), and it’s this: “A man. He looked like this.” He put his hand over his face. “He said, ‘Sensei put so much work into you. Why are you so useless (Deku)?’”
- More bg info, AFO gave Midoriya to Shigaraki, telling him to try to make him useful, and Shigaraki DID try for a couple of months, but he was over the whole situation after basically one day. With his memories, Midoriya was scared and traumatized, had morals, cried a bunch and sometimes tried to escape, and was just UGH. He could mute his voice, but even that didn’t help, cause this kid was just sooo annoying. Without his memories he was awkward and boring and still annoying. Eventually he just yeeted him into a trash heap, but took his memory chip, since it technically contains LoV information.
- Midoriya considers his only memory and thinks being called Deku feels sort of normal, so he says as much. “Deku might also be my name. You can call me that, if you want.” Todoroki says he’ll stick with Midoriya, because Deku isn’t a nice name for his new robot friend.
- So the first section of the story after this is fairly light-hearted. Todoroki has to keep Midoriya a secret from Endeavor and Fuyumi (I feel like she does find out eventually, but agrees to help hide him, as she sees it’s good for her little bro to finally have this (maybe?) living thing/person to talk to and take care of.) Speaking of care, Midoriya is very easy to care for. He can eat, drink, and sleep, but doesn’t need to. He has some sort of self-charging system. Most of his “care” involves teaching him social skills (which oof, blind leading the blind, but they say teaching is the best way to learn, so this is actually good for Shouto too). Embarrassing stuff happens. Fluffy stuff happens. It’s a good time.
- Shouto spends the summer with Midoriya this way. Most of their interactions are fluffy and light, but not all. The first time he comes back to his room after training with his dad, he learns two things: Midoriya has first aid knowledge programmed into him and he’s capable of crying. As the trainings continue, Midoriya eventually reveals that he has over a hundred fighting styles programmed into him and knows over 70 ways to kill a person, but he can’t access any of that information while his safety is on. Todoroki is just like, “Uuuuuh, that’s really good to know…but we’re gonna keep the safety on for now, okay? I hate my dad but also please don’t murder him. He’s famous so we wouldn’t get away with it. Also murder is bad, don’t kill people.”
- Midoriya wants to know if all heroes are like Endeavor and Shouto is like, noooo and shows him the debut video of his personal favorite hero: All Might. Watching this video is the first time Midoriya has a “System overloading. Shutting down” moment. Shouto has an absolute panic attack, because if Midoriya reboots and his memories are wiped, then he’ll have lost the best friend he ever had. But Midoriya restarts and he’s fine. He explains that sometimes he shuts down, to prevent a system failure, which would damage his…idk, hard drive or whatever. He quietly admits that the All Might video is very familiar, and he thinks maybe it used to be important to him. Shouto questions him about his memories and Midoriya theorizes that perhaps he has them backed up, but he isn’t sure how to access them.
- This is exciting for Shouto, because he thinks maybe if Midoriya experiences more “triggers,” like the video, he might regain his memories and be able to shed some light on the general mystery of where he came from/who made him/what his purpose is. Whenever Endeavor is away, he tries to sneak Midoriya out, so he can see the real world. He isn’t too concerned about his ears, because in a world of quirks, there are plenty of odd looking people around. So far he’s been wearing Todoroki’s clothes, which a little too big on him, so they go shopping and get him clothes. None of their outings seem to trigger anything, except one time when they pass a park where Midoriya and Bakugou used to play as kids. Midoriya grows quiet and seems far away for a moment, but he doesn’t overload and shakes off the familiar feeling.
- Whenever they see All Might stuff he’s just !!!!!!! He can’t remember why he likes All Might, but he remembers how he feels about him. The more All Might stuff he sees, the more his old feelings return. One day they pass a large All Might poster and Midoriya says, “I think maybe I wanted to be like him, once.”
- Eventually Todoroki starts school. He feels bad about leaving him, but Midoriya is content to stay in his room and occupy himself until Todoroki comes home. He’s part computer, so he’s a total boss at helping with math homework. He likes doing homework with Todoroki in general, because he likes learning. This is great for Todoroki’s grades because again, the teaching thing helps everything stick better for him.
- The attack on USJ happens and Todoroki sees Shigaraki, who has a hand on his face, and he’s like, “Shit, shit, shit, this is the guy who threw away Midoriya,” and he has NO idea what to do with that information. Midoriya belonging to the LoV does explain the “70+ ways to kill” programming though. He tells Midoriya what happened and Midoriya is kind of whatever about it. He says, “Maybe I belonged to villains, but I belong to you, now.” And Shouto is like, “No, no, no, no. You do not. You belong to yourself” and Midoriya is just ????
- I think for the Sports Festival, Midoriya convinces him to use his fire. It’s sort of like, “It’s your power, even though its origin is Endeavor. Just like how everything I can do is my power, even though I was programmed by villains. Being made by villains doesn’t make me a villain. Using the resources they gave me doesn’t make me a villain. Being Endeavor’s son doesn’t make you Endeavor, and using your fire doesn’t either.” Todoroki turns off Midoriya’s safety, confident he has nothing to fear.
- Midoriya watches the Sports Festival on tv (using his blutooth, he can actually just hear the volume in his head, so he can watch silently). He sees Bakugou. Seeing him on screen doesn’t have a huge impact on him, but he does feel something. Fear, unease, admiration, and affection. He’s confused and uncomfortable, and ends up looking away from the screen whenever he’s shown for too long.
- Shouto actually starts making friends at school. Being with Midoriya has taught him a lot about being kind and the joy having other people in your life can bring. Still, he doesn’t trust anyone enough to tell them about Midoriya. He’s terrified of losing him.
- For the Hosu incident, Midoriya is home alone, probably doing something on Shouto’s laptop. He sees the breaking news and is just, “Welp, that’s where Shouto, the official best person in the world, is, so guess I’m going to Hosu to make sure he’s safe.” He leaves the house alone, for the first time ever, and just runs to Hosu. Idk how far away Hosu is from the Todoroki residence, but Midoriya doesn’t fatigue and he’s also outrageously fast, so it’s fine. Also he can see in the dark, but only if he activates his night vision, which makes his eyes glow. Not good for sneaking, but very pretty and cool. I’m not sure how he finds Shouto, or how Shouto found Iida, but I imagine Stain is like, seconds from skewering him and then Midoriya comes out of nowhere and collides with Stain (which is a big deal, cause remember, Midoriya is filled with metal parts and is super heavy). They fight together and at some point Stain cuts Midoriya and he bleeds, which for Shouto is like !?!??! And then he licks his blood and the paralysis works and Shouto is just !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- Later, after the life threatening stuff is over, Todoroki has some seriously thoughts about this, because what if Midoriya is human? Or part human? That would be a huge development, and also kind of relief for him, because he sort of feels like he’s been falling in love, but he’s been desperately stomping down on those feelings, because he knows falling in love with a robot probably isn’t healthy. But falling in love with a half robot? I mean, Iida could be called part robot, with his legs, if you want to get technical about it. And Todoroki does want to get technical about it, thank you very much. If Iida is dateable, then so is Midoriya.
- Back to Hosu. They beat Stain and, after securing him, Todoroki tells Midoriya to go home, before his dad arrives. Once he leaves, he begs Iida not to tell anyone he saw him and promises to explain later. For ease of narrative, Native was unconscious the entire fight.
- Endeavor shows up, as does the Nomu. It takes Shouto but Stain rescues him. At the hospital, Todoroki explains the Midoriya situation to Iida, revealing that this incident was the first time he realized Midoriya had blood in him. Iida agrees to keep the secret, but urges Todoroki to tell someone. Maybe Aizawa. He agrees to consider, but he doesn’t want Midoriya to get taken away and like, locked up to be studied or something. He and Iida become better friends, bonding over almost dying together and sharing the secret of Midoriya.
- Midterms! Shouto scores higher because he has an awesome robot tutor. He doesn’t actually care, but good for him regardless.
- Summer field trip time. Midoriya can’t come, obviously. I’m thinking during this time, he decides to sneak out of the house and explore on his own. He feels guilty, because Shouto would worry if he knew, but he just feels this draw. He feels like maybe his old memories were important, and he’s becoming curious. He keeps thinking about the boy from the Sports Festival and about All Might. He ends up in his old neighborhood. He sees his middle school and he doesn’t remember anything, but seeing the building makes him feel lonely and sort of bad about himself. It reminds him of Shigaraki calling him Deku, and the familiar feeling that gave him. He leaves and finds himself on his old street. He isn’t close at all to his old home - he can barely see the apartment building - but he can still see it. He almost shuts down, but turns away quickly and starts back the way he came. He doesn’t remember anything, but seeing that building fills him with overwhelming emotions. The strongest one reminds him of his feelings for Shouto, but it’s different. He can’t place it, but he knows he’d die to protect Shouto, and he feels like maybe he once knew someone in that building that he would also die to protect. Once he gets home, he realizes he’s crying. He decides to sleep and he dreams of green eyes and a smile that looks like home.
- Shouto is injured during the villain attack and goes to the hospital. Once he’s released, he agrees with Kirishima that they’ll go rescue Bakugou. That whole thing pretty much goes at it did in canon, except All Might never found a successor, so he’s more powerful. He defeats AFO and does not have to retire, though he’s feeling an overwhelming pressure to find a successor now, because he knows he’s hanging on by a thread.
- Dorms!! Shouto is bringing his boy with him. He figures he can hide him just as easily there as he can at home. Getting him in is a little tricky, but he manages. From there, it’s smooth sailing.
- Except not really, because living with 18-19 other people (19 if Hitoshi is in the class, which, maybe) is way different than living with 2. Midoriya is discovered in like, a week and everyone is freaking out, most of all Bakugou, who basically breaks down. He tries to hit Midoriya and screams at him, about thinking he was dead and going to his funeral and how it was his fault and having to face his mom and did Midoriya even think about his mom??? As previously mentioned, Midoriya just shuts down and face plants to the ground.
- Shouto finally learns Midoriya’s full name. Midoriya Izuku. A+ name. Very cute. He plans to use it immediately.
- Bakugou’s insight changes the situation completely. Now they know Izuku was once 100% human and something awful happened to him. They end up bringing him to Aizawa and explaining the situation and everything they know. Todoroki gets scolded, cause Izuku could have been dangerous and he should have known better, but he doesn’t even pretend to have regrets. Endeavor would have made him throw Izuku back into the trash where he found him. His best friend isn’t trash.
- Now the name of the game is helping Izuku restore his memories. Bakugou is a huge help, but patience is required, to keep Izuku from overloading. He remembers bits and pieces at a time, all centered around Bakugou. Aizawa agrees to let him attend classes, so they can keep an eye on him. He’s also hoping a school setting might trigger more memories. He meets All Might and he doesn’t even get to announce his system malfunction before he’s out. He sees him, starts smoking at the mouth and hits the floor. All Might is very alarmed.
- Tsukauchi is made aware of the situation. He wants to keep things under wraps though. If the LoV is aware Midoriya is out and about, they may target him. If they can restore his memories though, they may gain insight into the group’s plans. That being said, he thinks it’s only right that they tell Inko. They tell her they have information on her son and make her sign a contract, agreeing not to release any information. Once she agrees, they brief her on what they know and, at the end, bring in Izuku.
- Izuku has been talking with Bakugou about his mom, to prepare for this (he usually wants Shouto with him for these conversations, and Shouto and Bakugou sort on inadvertently become friends). He can’t remember her at all, but he remembers the face in his dream. He knows it’s her. While talking, he’s shut down a few times (which drives Bakugou up the wall, and also scares him a little, cause he kind of looks dead when it happens), but he thinks he might be ready to see her now. He’s brought in and he does not shut down, not fully, but he comes close. He definitely glitches a little, maybe doing a quick reboot, quick enough that he doesn’t even fall, and his voice comes out cracked and metallic when he speaks, and there are sparks in his mouth, but he manages, “Mom?” They both cry and she holds him while he tells her, voice wavering between sounding normal and sounding robotic, that he doesn’t remember her, but he loves her, he knows he loves her so so much and he knows he’s missed her, even though he didn’t know who she was. It’s very emotional, and extremely hard for both of them when they finally have to separate, because Izuku can’t go home with her. She’s allowed to visit though, and each visit helps him restore little pieces of his memory. Between her and Bakugou, he starts making enough progress that he stops shutting down when he gains a new memory, and he starts remembering his old hopes and dreams. He doesn’t remember what AFO did to him, but he remembers enough of his past to feel self-conscious now, about his body. He breaks down one day and Shouto holds him while he grapples with his identity, his humanity, and his future.
- I’m picturing a scene where he’s crying and Shouto takes his face in his hands and explains all the beautiful things about him that make him human, and he finishes up with something corny like, “I know you, Izuku. You’re human. You have to be human, because I’m in love with you.” And then they KISS and it is ROMANTIC!
- He decides he still wants to be a hero and he becomes a real member of 1A, instead of just a visitor. The whole class helps him design a costume and come up with a name and in general are just like, “Cyborg Hero, yay!!”
- And that’s all I got. I think eventually he would fight the league, and probably retrieve his chip, giving him 100% of his memories. There’s a LOT of trauma to deal with there, because he was basically torn apart and put back together several times by AFO, but they do gain all the information they need to take down the LoV for good. And the Overhaul arc is in there. Izuku might still intern with Nighteye, because All Might is like, “Robot successor? Maybe???” and he wants Nighteye’s opinion. Nighteye can’t see his future, because he’s not fully human, but eventually he gives his stamp of approval. Eri is rescued and that’s a very personal fight for Izuku, because he identifies with what she’s gone through. And of course she loves him and thinks his ears are cute and his glowy eyes are pretty.
- Oh, and the School Festival. I honestly don’t even know what to do with him. He can learn any instrument just by like, downloading some YouTube tutorial videos. He can learn any dance by watching it once. He’s really strong, really fast, and can also operate as a speaker (though that can be awkward, cause it’s through his mouth, so he’d just be standing there with his mouth open). They might keep his role same as canon, idk. They’d probably all fight over him.
- I’m sure none of this was anything like Chobits. Sorry. I just think the ears are neat, really, and liked the idea of Izuku being a cyborg (Chobits isn’t even about cyborgs, lol).
Sorry this is outrageously long! If you want to write this into a full fic, feel free to use my ideas! Just give me a shoutout, maybe? And tell me about it, so I can read it!

what your horror movie crush says about you pt.2
Sorry this took so long tee hee had to find time to rewatch the original since it’s been forever since I’ve watched it :D Reminder, these are just my opinions and its all in good fun!
Texas Chainsaw Massacre [1974]
Bubba Sawyer: You want a big man to baby. No. Not baby you... You want to baby HIM. You also might tend to lean towards himbos in other fandoms (Thor, JFK, Sokka, Kelso, Emmett Cullen, etc.)  Idk its just your thing. If you prefer Bubba over Thomas then you probably genuinely like country music or someone in your family does. Either way you know the lyrics to at least a few Garth Brooks songs. Oh, and you might like to baby your big man you still wanna feel small af when it comes to... other things. *Cough* A size kink is possible here.
Sally Hardesty: If you like Sally, then I’m pretty sure you’re wlw. You have wonderful taste when it comes to people... I can trust your judgement. I feel like you have really good intuition. You most likely have some sort of attachment to the 70s style (hair, clothing, music, etc.) You believe that Sally needs to be brought up more when ppl talk about Final Girls. Same goes for the actress, Marilyn Burns. You believe she’s an underrated Scream Queen nowadays. You’re probably vanilla.
Nubbins Sawyer: You’ve gotten chaotic neutral on the alignment test. I’m also going to assume you scored highly on the rice purity test. You also like spontaneity in your life... Like for example, you love going on adventures. You’d use the hell out of that Randonautica app (I’ve tried it. People seem to find cool shit but it’s alway shit or miss for me.) You also give me stoner vibes. You’re a little freaky-deeky in bed. That spontaneous side of you pops out to try new things.
Chop Top Sawyer: Okay, first off, if this man is your number one (like horror crush overall) YOU SCARE ME. No hard feelings. I’m just terrified. You’ve done a good amount of research on cannibalism, I feel like. You watch criminal minds... You like psychology. Also stoner vibes but you might prefer acid. I’m getting vibes that you read Herobrine x reader fanfictions. Texas Chainsaw Massacre is not your favorite horror movie! You might lean towards the supernatural horror movies. You also really like cheesy movies. I don’t even wanna know what you’re like in bed. You can keep those guilty pleasures to yourself
Texas Chainsaw Massacre Remake
Thomas Hewitt: You’re super empathetic! Also, you don’t have as much as a size kink but rather wanting to feel protected 24/7 by big men. You like that warm fuzzy feeling when a man wraps his large muscles around you. You mightttt have a “fix him” mentality when it comes to relationships but I also feel like you don’t take anyones shit. You take everything with a grain of salt, too. For instance, you’ll go beyond the surface level of any topic/person. You’re a person who sticks to their kinks. You’re not one to venture out.

‘fate: the winx saga’ review
im very late to this trend but i finally watched this show all the way through.
if you watch the first episode alone, you probably hated this series, as you should. the first episode’s dialogue is awkward and stiff. the fatphobia was heavily present. and the outfits sucked. so did i hate the series? not even a little bit.
first, and most importantly, lets talk about terra. i saw the most talk around her character and the fatphobia the show exuded. having watched all of it, i can safely say that terra was being bullied. not by her friends, or at least not her real ones, but the classic mean popular clique. any issues she faced with this bullying, her friends stuck up for her but didn’t get involved. they knew she could handle it and she did. she was shown sticking up for herself repeatedly. her friends have issues with her at first and i’ve seen a lot of people pointing that out as fatphobia. it’s really not as their annoyance of her was from her oversharing and inability to stop talking (relatable). saying that the girls disliked her because she’s fat is reducing her character to her dress size, something only the audience is seeming to do. she is a fully developed character and so lovable by the end of the first season. but i would love to get into her love life a little more or more into her powers as she is the only one who doesn’t struggle with her powers.
musa’s character is well written and fun. her mind powers are interesting and i loved seeing them develop as she learns control. the issues with musa in this series comes from the casting. the actress, elisha applebaum, is white passing but is half-Singaporean. the cartoon design from the original was fully asian. applebaum plays the character so well and is an amazing actress but many say that casting a white passing asian woman to play a fully asian character takes away from the diversity the original show had. as a white self-claimed film critic, i don’t think it’s appropriate for me to have an opinion. i did however want to bring it up as it’s being discussed in the criticism of the show.
**** this is an edit: it’s been brought to my attention that the actress who plays Musa is fully white and that singapore is not an ethnicity. i saw a few articles say that she was half singaporean and didn’t question it (definitely should have researched that) now that i know she is fully white and not mixed, i do have an opinion. what the fuck. the actual fuck. that is so messed up. why would they take a show that was full of diversity in 2005 and make it whiter in 2021??? when i thought she was mixed i didn’t want to say anything bc mixed poc constantly get torn between the 1 drop rule where if they have any poc ancestor then they are poc or a minimum percentage of that ethnicity to be considered a “real” poc even if they grew up in that culture. i didn’t want to tell a half asian girl that she wasn’t asian enough but knowing she’s fully white? yeah that changes a lot of things. in doing more research, she is of middle eastern descent (as am i, still very much white) and if she was cast as stella or even bloom who were classically western europe in the original design, i would be so happy to see extra representation. but not when she took away a part from an asian actress - ESPECIALLY in a time when asian hate crimes are escalating. i don’t care if she’s a great actress and person…..recast her.
idk how many people watched the cartoons but i always hated sky and riven. sky was a much better character in this series. he still struggles with treating the fairies as damsels in distress, which bloom calls him out on. he has more depth and seems like genuinely good guy. riven was....lashing out alot. i liked him in the series because he does acknowledge his fatphobic remarks and ends up admitting to terra that she was a badass while he was struggling with fighting. he begins to work out some of his issues and i loved the dynamic that he has with sky where they get emotional with each other, both more than willing to point out the toxic traits the other has. i look forward to more riven character development. while i like sam, there was way more chemistry in one scene with musa and him. im hoping they keep the enemies to lovers idea that the cartoon had.
NOW i need to talk about what i thought could improved. the wings. i loved them, like a lot, but i want at least one more of the girls to get them next season, if not all. it was a fun reveal but wings were such a staple fairy ability in the cartoon that i was nervous they wrote it out. they have the perfect opportunity to fix the outfits with the transformation scene. as we know in the cartoons they girls get new outfits when they transform. they’re fighting outfits could be so fun or maybe as they develop as fairies they develop different wardrobes. the outfits weren’t awful and at 16, most girls aren’t wearing skimpy bright colored clothing 24/7 while training. they don’t have to be the same as the cartoons but i would love to see terra in vintage 70′s clothing that works with her curves, stella in at least one glittery outfit, musa in a more pastel grunge look, aisha in matching sweats or some sort of updated street-style look, and bloom is actually fine but maybe  more flirty dresses with leather jackets and sneakers, mixing the tough and flirty look more consistently.
also, if you’re new to the fandom, you might not know things like what sky and riven can do, specifically who the specialists are and how they contribute to the fairy world. they struggled slightly with world building as i believe they expected most, if not all, people watching to have an idea of the world already. the show could have done a better job setting up these concepts.
i truly recommend watching the show before you write it off completely.

Favorite fashion era and why?
ohhhh that's a tough one! I love so many different eras 😭
tbh the 1980s have my whole entire heart, I love the cuts of the clothes and the crazy big shoulders and the big hair and equally big accessories and just the whole entire everything!!! One of the decades of fashion I feel most comfortable in, personally. I'm a big fan of shoulder pads and moon wash denim 🥺 💕
I'm also very soft for the late 1960s and 1970s, the cuts and silhouettes are so interesting! And all the colours! Feels very nostalgic because that's the decades my parents were teens/young adults and it always reminds me of their old photo albums I used to obsessively leaf through as a kid.
(Also obsessed with celebrities'/bands'/musicians' outfits of the 60s/70s/80s. Peak fashion and very much clothing and hair envy. So much fun experimentation!!!)
The 1990s and early 2000s also have a spot in my heart for nostalgia reasons. Because that's the fashion I grew up with! Not very flattering or comfortable for me personally (lots of trauma there ngl) but I love seeing other people rock it!!!
The late victorian/edwardian era (1880s-1910 ish) is very nice as well and I'm especially enamoured with the structured/tailored waistcoats and the Gothic Romance Novel Heroine Night Gowns of these decades. I'm actually planning on sewing a couple (in black instead of the usual white for extra gothness) once I'm confident enough with copying patterns and following instructions from 120-140 years old fashion magazines. I may or may not have watched way too many of Bernadette Banner's and Engineering Knits' historical costuming/sewing projects videos over the years lol)
And finally, I like the dandy style of the 1830s/40s. I did some research on that era for a cosplay a couple years ago and I find the silhouette quite nice on my body, actually! And it's so interesting to see the gradual change from fall front trousers to the button fly front style during that time!
