idk someone about bones or whatever

#should've just yoinked someone else's design and reference them #i feel like im drawing bloodhound/velahound/octane/omen/kayo/shaxx/kaiser all at the same time #i basically just look at a body part and see what my brain has for it and slap it on #probably the worst you can go for character design #doesn't have a lot of bones because i can't come up with any original design and i don't wanna actually search for any reference for ideas #oh well. i literally came up with this only when i need to draw his lineart for yesterday's comic so not exactly surprising #i love capes and mysterious hooded pure black shadowed head so not even gonna design a helmet for him #also solves the bone plug issue because for the love of void i can't even understand half of what ordan is saying #that's the consequence of giving all your skill points on mathy stuff and none on literature #i mean i guess the bone plugs are somewhere at or above the neck??? so it's gonna be covered up anyways #im probably gonna go for roughly this design for ordan karris for now #i feel like i shouldn't even let him talk because any dialogues i come up with ruins his image #but idk. how many cool and stern characters' image have i ruined up until this point? yeah definitely not the first time #warframe #warframe ordan karris #my art

#wip success story!!#for a bit there i expected it to be a wip failure but i think we turned it around boys #arcane #arcane jinx #isn't it kinda cool how vi and powder don't. have last names. do vander or silco have last names #this thing has 49 layers and 1 of them is completely unrelated #approximately 8 of them are lineart #so it took 40 layers to color this.......#most of them are hidden too it's cuz i am so indecisive and afraid of messing stuff up so i just duplicate the layers and keep going #this is not a great art philosophy but it is what it is #eyestrain #my eyes got fucking STRAINED while working on this #but i love bright colors </3 #the evidence of duplicating layers is in one of my shading layers called Layer5-1-2-1-1-1-1-1-2-2-1 or something like that #i went into overdrive lowkey bc i was like this Has to be finished before arc 3 (uhh very mild act 3/trailer spoilers to follow ig)#bc i Know her look changes and god knows i was NOT gonna erase those braids i painstakingly outlined (over a year ago)#it's the principle of the thing. i basically redrew half of it anyways but only because i could not stand it if i did not #i was already feeling like euhhhhhhhhhh abt the whole composition bc when i originally drew it it was kinda half based #around her league personality #so working on it now felt like it was just. the descriptors of my style were, after asking on my main and discord: soft, round, colorful/saturated, sparkly/shiny, sketchy lines, big eyes, and shoujo-esque :3

decided to draw cara for this because shes my blorbo of the month. tbh I still think she still looks pretty squishable even in the 'evil' version sjadkfhk TwT I'd like to revisit this challenge sometime with a full illustration, but for now I'm trying to get a backlog of comic pages so that I can focus solely on art fight next month! :D
