authors note: i’m back😭😭 i’m sorry i hadn’t posted in forever☹️ i hope you enjoy this i really do🥺 i love you all so much!
upcoming content: so. much. fluff. literally just fluff. reader and niall’s daughter is adopted! also niall isn’t supposed to be famous in this one but it’s not so important lol
word count: 1.6k
my masterlist
the twinkling lights strung across the wall, dimly illuminated the living room, the honeyed glow only contrasting with the street lights from the city below you, shining through the window. you really should get up and close the curtains, but you’d sank into the plush couch and it had yet to release you from its cloud like grip.
or maybe you just wanted to preserve this moment, fearing that even the slightest movement would break the bubble of pure happiness you’ve created. every inch of your and nialls flat had evidence of family on it. the three pairs of shoes at the door, the three dirty plates at the table, once covered in pizza, the boardgame taking up the living room floor, and the niall’s tender voice leaking out the bedroom door and into your heart.
the familiar story of the first harry potter lightly reached your ears, accompanied by a mess of giggles whenever niall changed accents for each of the different characters.
the fairy like laugh could only belong to your daughter.
you and niall had been trying for almost three years to adopt a daughter, having met your sweet lily a hear and a half ago. you two had instantly fallen in love and wanted to make her part of the little family the two of you created over the years.
little lily, nine years old standing at four feet four inches, with long brown hair that curled at the ends, scarily resembling nialls. and big eyes that took up half her face, the same shade as yours.
it was an easy decision to start a family, one of the many topics you and niall would whisper about tucked under his arm beneath the covers. it was also easy to come to the conclusion that you both wanted to adopt, thinking about how many children needed homes and how warm your flat was. yes it was small and the elevator was shotty, but it had a spare room. one with a view of the sea and the stars. and it had you two, who had more than enough love to give.
“umph!” you groaned at the added weight on your back, yet reveled in the warmth and hardness of his chest.
“you’re squishing me!” it was a muffled retort, but he heard you and rolled to the side so you were now sandwiched between the back of the couch and his front. shining blue pools immediately met your gaze and the emotion within them overtook you.
his eyes darted from your left eye to your right, then across the width of your nose, then your lips and back to your eyes again. these were the moments you lived for. the moments that were so quiet and so simple as you two just staring at each other, but it was something so uniquely niall. how he would be two inches apart from you yet his gaze held so much longing, and how when he finally did snap out of his trance, his lips would so gently press against your nose. these were the moments you missed from the stress of adoption papers and home checks.
“i can’t believe it.” was all he said.
“i know.” you did.
“i mean, she’s here to stay. like forever!”
kind hearted laughter escaped you at the look of pure disbelief on his face, as if he hadn’t spent the past month putting up shelves, buying dressers, and getting pretty much everything someone could sell him marketed towards a little girl.
“yup, that’s what we signed on for. no going back now, horan.”
he knew you were only kidding, yet even the mention of not having her shot a sense of dreading him “going back? i’d rather die. i don’t remember life without her.”
“same. i would use you as a human shield if it would protect lily.”
niall let out a large laugh at that, large hands grasping your waist, the tips of his fingers almost meeting in the middle.
“i wouldn’t expect anything less, darling.”
“did she go to bed yet?” you asked, aware of the silence coming from down the hall. how you were already so hyperaware of whatever she did shocked you, yet it was so natural. m
“mmm i’m actually supposed to be bringing you to her room.”
“oh?” you raised your brow in question.
“mm-hmm.” niall pressed a kiss to your cheek, leaving his lips to linger there as he whispered, “she reallt wanted her ma.”
with your faces pressed together. you smiles against his lips, eyes watery and niall could only look down at you as if you were an angel dropped from heaven and into his arms, onto his beat up couch.
“i think that’s you, my love.”
“it sure is!” you cried, throwing your legs over him and practically sliding across the hardwood floor in your socks to lily’s room.
you opened the door and was met with a quick yelp, as you saw lily snap the harry potter book closed and tucked it under her covers.
with a fake gasp you made your wat over to her, “are you reading ahead, baby?”
the rose hue that dusted her cheeks gave her away immediately.
“don’t tell on me!” she pleaded, tiny hands grasping yours.
“don’t worry lil, he never has to know.” you said back, with a wink.
you and niall wanted her to refer to you as mom and dad at her own pace. lily’s young but smart, and when you and niall decided to adopt a nine year old instead of a baby, you knew they’d know you weren’t their real parents.
lily did it sometimes. like when you were able to pick her up from school sometimes before the adoption was official, her teacher told you she had been giddy over her “new mommy and daddy” coming to pick her up. but when it was just the three of you, sometimes it would slip out, but mainly she would call you by your first names or just not at all. it was understandable, but the both of you couldn’t wait until she called you mom and dad with ease.
“who never has to know?” niall’s deep irish voice broke the silence and lily gasped and held her comforter tighter.
“nothing!” the two of you said in unison.
“what? you’re already keeping secrets from your da?” niall asked in fake surprise as he too squished onto her bed.
“n-no!” lily cried through giggles as niall attacked her with tickles!
“i think you are! i think you’re lying to daddy!” he spoke back, voice heavy with mirth yet so delicate around his precious girl.
“i-i- i’m not! i’m not lying to you, daddy!” lily let out through bursts of laughter. niall quickly relented and tugged her into his chest instead, pressing a long kiss to the top of her head. being a father came so naturally to him, as you knew it would. you noticed how protective he was of you when you two were just dating, so now that he had a wife and child, it was tenfold.
“good, i never want ya to keep things from me. unless you’re telling them to your ma. then that’s okay.” he spoke and lily nodded, resting her head on his chest and reaching her hand out to you, which you enveloped in your own. in this moment your whole family was connected as one, and you don’t think any of the three of you had ever been happier.
“it’s getting late, angel. i think you have to go to bed soon.”
a yawn left her as she rubbed her eye, snd behind her you saw niall’s face crumple in on itself at the cuteness of her tiny yawn.
“get some rest, petal.” niall cooed, kissing her forehead. when niall met lily he immediately started calling her petal, as “she was his flower.” and ever since lily has been totally enamored with the pet name.
niall clicked off the little lamp and the room fell dark, save for the night light. “good night lils, i love you.” you gently spoke, giving her one last kiss before beginning to stand. a tiny hand gripped your thigh that kept you there though.
“you guys should sleep here.” she requested, as if it was nothing but the pleading look in her eyes was enough to melt you both.
“you want us t-“
“okay!” you and niall said at the same time and before you could get your question out he was bent in the twin size bed with lily tugged on his chest, arms open wife for you to join them.
scrunching in with them was uncomfortable as you felt the press of lily’s hidden book against your back.
“oi! what… is… this doing here?” niall asked, reaching down and relieving your back of the sharp edges, but also revealing your secret.
lily gasped as if she had no idea how on earth that could get there! and you broke into laughter.
“well if its already there, can you read another chapter?“ she asked, peering up at your husband.
“i don’t know baby girl, its already reallh late.”
“please, da? so mommy can hear your different voices!” and that was what did it, as he started reading a second later, bicep keeping you pressed against his side.
and to the sound of niall’s different accents that you’ve heard millions of times, the wafting spice and citrus scent of him, and the low gasps and giggles of your daughter, you drifted off the sleep. entangled in your little family in the morning.

Silver || P. Parker
Request | Yes or no
Request by | @hermes-creature
Word count | 708
Warnings | None.
Pairing | tasm!Peter Parker x male!reader
Hi! Thank you so much for this it was so fun to write, also im sorry its kind of short i had to add the last part to make it the length it is now, I hope you like it <3
Peter walked down the path with a small smile on his face, hands in his pockets as he headed towards his boyfriend who was petting a dog with a big grin on his face. When Peter- Peter number 1, decided it was best to make everyone not know about Peter Parker it was supposed to work on all the Peter’s considering they were all Peter Parker, but when the spell was being placed Y/n was tucked under Pete’s arm with his head in the crook of his neck.
Both of them were surprised yet relieved when they realized it didn't work on Y/n, they had spent all night in each other's arms, their voices just above a whisper exchanging sweet nothings with each other while they dozed off.
Since then they haven't spent much time apart, afraid that if they do they might wake up and find out this is all just a dream. Y/n really wants a dog, like he asks everyday. Obviously Peter can never say no to such a simple request, “We gotta go, my love.” His hand was now placed on his partner’s shoulder. The silver band wrapped around his ring finger sparkled in the sunlight.
Y/n’s smile dropped a bit as he took his hands off the dog as he stood up, he smiled and said his goodbyes to the puppy, and the dog owner before interlocking Peter’s hand with his, Y/n’s silver band was cold against Peter’s palm. “Where are we going?” Y/n asks, seeing they're going the complete opposite way of their home, “It’s a surprise.” There's a twinkle in Peter’s eyes as he smirks at Y/n.
“I don't like surprises though.” He practically whines as he furrows his brow, “You will like this one, don’t worry.” Peter chuckled, continuing to pull him along the sidewalk, a few minutes prior he made a phone call to one of the shelters nearby because of course Y/n has always said adopt don't shop.
Y/n must have seen the sign in the distance because he gasped and pointed “Are we going there? Please tell me we’re going there!” He was wide eyed as Peter opened the door, he was almost jumping up and down. “Hi, How can I help you?” The person at the counter asked them, “Can we see the dogs please?” Peter could feel Y/n shaking his arm and staring at the side of his face.
“Of course! Follow me!” She grabbed a set of keys from off the counter and led them to a room with a ton of dogs, Y/n was practically vibrating as he saw all the puppies. His voice went high pitched as he baby talked to the excited dogs, he sat down on the ground and all but one of the puppies piled on top of him.
“Do you think you know which one you want?” Peter asked ten or so minutes later as he sat beside Y/n, he looked up at Peter before looking towards the one puppy who was by itself the entire time on a dog bed in the corner. Y/n smiled “Can I have that one?” He replied and pointed towards the white and silver puppy who has blue eyes.
The worker looked at the puppy “Yeah! He came in yesterday, apparently his mom died and the owner didn't want him as it would be a reminder of her.” Y/n almost pouted as he tilted his head- like a dog might i add- and said “We’ll take him.” He smiled up at the worker as he carefully got up and made his way towards the puppy.
The other two people in the room couldn't hear what he was whispering about, while he sat down about a foot away from the dog and slowly put his hand out. The Siberian husky tapped his snout against the palm of Y/n’s hand and shuffled forward, while he did that Peter went back with the employee to sign the papers.
And 20 minutes later they were walking out with their new puppy who had been named Silver, and all of the puppy supplies they needed/wanted.
here is the pupper Silver
And as always feel free to send in requests that follow the request rules <3

moral of the story (batfamily x batmom reader)
Inspire by moral of the story by ashe
So I never really knew you, God I really tried to
Loving Bruce wasn't hard. I have a lot of love to give and I gave myself to him unconditionally and thought that I he'll learn to love me someday. There were times that he would open up to me about things and his children. I did everything I could to help him, from taking care and raising the children he adopted, loving them like they are mine, to supporting his nightly routine.
"Aren't you father's wife, why aren't you sleeping in the same bed with him?" asked little Damian as I tucked him to his bed.
It's surprising to everyone that I was the first to tame the blood child of Bruce but I didn't really know how I did it too. Same as all of Bruce's children. I guess I just loved them all equally as a mother would wth her own child.
He wasn't the first child to ask me that, Dick, Jason, Tim, Cass and Duke did aswell but I didn't have the heart to tell them that I was hoping to be one day worthy to sleep beside him.
I was talking with my lawyer, saying where'd you find this guy
Said young people fall in love with the wrong people sometimes
I can't even move a muscle. My eyes were just staring at the blank line marked with an X and beside it was another line but filled with the perfect signature of my husband.
"I'm really sorry Y/n," I heard my lawyer/childhood bestfriend mutter to my side. I took a glance at her, teeth gritted and a frown blossomed on her face.
"Fei, its really ok-","OKAY?! HOW COULD YOU SAY THAT Y/N?!! YOU LOVED HIM FIRST!! YOU SAYING THAT YOU ARE REALLY LETTING HIM GO TO A S--"
"Fei, please. Don't make this harder. I don't need you to tell 'I said so' or 'you should have listened to me'. I don't even know how to tell my kids abou this so please don't make it harder for me..." I could feel my voice breaking with both my hands holding my torso cause I can't even read the contents of the papers placed before my eyes.
She finally stopped walking in circles from my pheripheral vision for a moment then pulled the chair she was sitting on earlier close to me. Then next I felt her pull my head to her until I was nuzzling my unmake-up face to her white office shirt.
That night, I walked down to the batcave where Bruce was. Alfred was there as well and didn't fail to greet me with a warm smile. But he saw the manila folder I held and it made the smile on his face disappear in a blink. I made my way to the man I once called my husband. He wasn't alone.
In his Batman uniform, his lips was sealed in a loving kiss by the only woman he had ever loved from the start. The very woman I can never compete for his heart.
Selina immediately notice my presence and pulled away from Bruce. She loved him. She really did, I guess that's enough assurance that Bruce will be okay. His world will keep turning with or without me in it.
Bruce turned to where she was looking to meet my pained smile. He put himself before her, it made my heart ache a lot more. Whe I got to them, I didn't let him speak as I gently handed the envelope I had. Judging how his face turned from concerned to guilty, he already knows what's inside.
"I just wanna say something to her, I won't her,"
He didn't speak but moved aside and I was face to face with Selina. I could tell with the way she avoids my gaze, she is guilty with my state. With slightly shaking hands, I took her hands.
Some mistakes get made, it's alright it's okay
You can think that you're inlove, when you're really just in pain
third person
"I know that he loves you and no matter how much love I give him, It won't come to that amount on how much you love him," despite the stutter at the end of the sentence, Y/n kept he chin up.
Bruce was silent but he knew what he did was eating him inside. His guilt was prowling beast ready to swallow him up at that running second. He was the one fueling it as well as regret grew. He understood this act was the cause of his heartlessness but in his mind he knew that Y/n didn't believe that.
What was worse at that moment and had made his guilt grow a lot more was winessing how his now ex-wife acted. Instead of rampaging, she acted civil and collected.
"I won't bother the both of you, all I ask is that you take care of my children,"
With that, she left the couple alone. They were silent but something screamed louder in it.
"Ummi?" Y/n's head shot up as her eyes found Damian who was rubbing his eyes as he had just woke up from a nap. The woman put a smile and walked to the boy, taking her in her arms carrying him. Damian didn't mind this gesture from her as he had grown custom to his only motherly figure in the house. The only woman he will recognize as his mother at the bottom of his heart.
"Hey baby D, why you up? It's half past bed time," Damian leaned his head tiredly on Y/n's shoulder and mumbled, "I'm hungry Ummi,"
Unknown to the boy that his sudden presence was what his mother needed at the moment of rock bottom. With a stuttering voice, she agreed to do the boy's request. Y/n walked to the kitchen with a slow pace while holding Damian close as if someone would try to take him away from her.
That night, she baked a lot of chocolate chip cookies because Damian wasn't the only one who came. Dick came with Jason and Tim after a tight shift in Patrol. They all shared about how their days went before Cass and Duke followed in and entered the last bonding they'll have with their mother.
They say it's better to have loved and lost
To have never have loved at all
Damian fell asleep on the island and Y/n took the liberty to take him to his room. But before he could leave, the slight pull on the hem of her shirt stopped her. She spun her head slowly to meet all of her children's lowered heads and sad faces. They already know.
"Mom I--…We...--" her eldest began his bright blue eyes turning glossy as every second pass, trying to form the right words he wants to say. He always knew what to do when it comes tips and advices for people like a typical therapist as Jason joked but for the first time, even he can't think of anything to do to ease the second special woman next to his biological mother, "Richard, sweet heart…"
The boy didn't finish but rushed towards her and his sibling followed, crowding over her. Y/n welcomed the comfort of the children she come to treasure in her heart. They all head to the living room and continued to crowd Y/n. Damian innocently slept as you cradle him to your chest, Jason and Cass occupied your sides, Tim rested himself beside you legs, Dick held his mother's hand resting in top of Jason's thighs as he no longer minded it, Duke sat at the opposite side of Tim and Stephanie sat beside Cass. All of them stayed up staring into thin air hoping tomorrow wouldn't come.
that could be a load of shit
but I just gotta tell you all
your pov
"U-ummi please…please…."
The weight on my shoulder doubled as I weakly tried to removed Damian's arms wrapped around my waist, his hand clinging to the thick beige sweater I wore to sheild me from the cold wind. I can't even breath with all my sobbing and I can't even see straight with all the free falling down from my eyes and cheeks.
"Damian baby, Ummi has to go," I tried to say straight.
As much as I wanted to shove Damian away so that I won't get caught and cornered up byhis siblings because if I do, it'll make leaving a lot harder than it is.
some mistakes get made, it's alright, its okay
third person
Turns out Y/n did all the things in one day. After signing papers, she had her bestfriend book her a flight to a foreign country. She will need a lot of alone time to contemplate and digest her current situation. Before she head to the cave, she had already packed her things for her flight. Everyone except Damian saw the bags waiting near the entrance. They would have rushed to talked her out when they found her happily talking with their youngest sibling like nothing happened that whole day. They all silently and mentally agreed that their mother needed this, Y/n needed this. Alfred couldn't bear the sad faces in the living room. Bruce didn't bother to come out his room after Selina have left. He can't face her. You don't derserve to see the man who betrayed you.
Dick and Jason was the first to wake when Damian's loud voice boomed outside the house. And soon everyone woke and they all head to the open doors. What they saw woke them to reality. Their aunt Fei's car was parked at the Drive way and beside is was Y/n and Damian, the latter latched on the woman's waist.
No one had the guts to walk over you two and pull the sobbing child on her mother's waist.
"I don't want her, I want you!!" the boy cried. Damian had never cried that much before. He was using all his strength to stop Y/n from entering the vehicle.
Y/n stopped struggling as she finally bursted to fits of sobs and collapsed in front of Damian who pulled her into his tight embrace. Both crying their hearts out.
"Don't leave," he repeated over and over as he buried his face on her neck. "I love you Ummi,"
"Damian, Baby I'm really Sorry. I am so sorry, I love you baby so much," Damian slowly collapse in her arms and Y/n dropped the sleep sedative she hid in her pockets if Damian ever find out. Continous sobs left her as her Dick came to her and took Damian from her arms. She hugged her eldest tightly, Jason followed with few tears escaping his own eyes, then Tim and so on.
Alfred who had been hidden by the crowd of her children walked to her. Y/n didn't hesitate to hug the old man who cried silently.
Y/n hopped inside the car and watched her children sad and crying faces but mostly to unconscious boy held by her eldest child.

Burnt With Envy ~ JJK [Request]
↬↬↬Word Count: 2.7k
↬↬↬Genre: Fluffy, angst,
↬↬↬Pairing: Jungkook x Gender Neutral Reader
↬↬↬WARNINGS: Mentions of plane turbulence, house fire, smoke inhalation [PS Sucky title because M sucks at titles]
↬↬↬ A/N: No name for the daughter as I know a lot of you like that, also I didn’t want to make it like a huge car accident or something so I went in a different way I hope this is okay for you my love! Stay Safe! Love you!
The plane ride you were on seemed to be taking forever, you were flying home after a long business meeting with your husband Jungkook who was now sitting on the phone to someone about the meeting - you didn't pay too much close attention to his side of the business as it never really interested you. Your daughter was curled up on your lap as you sat on one of the sofas inside of the private jet, one of the many joys of Jungkook being the CEO of many businesses. Never having to fly on a normal plane again.
"Look I don't care, give them whatever they want as long as they sign the papers tonight," You heard Jungkook sigh from across the plane, his eyebrows were strewn together and he was rubbing the bridge of his nose - a sure sign that he was stressing about something going on in his life.
"Yes, I'll hold." He turned around to glance at you so you gave him a small smile not wanting to bother him while he was working, as soon as his eyes landed on you and his daughter his eyes softened. Seeing the way you both looked together made him instantly relax, it was why he took you along on his business trips - that and he wanted his daughter to be able to see the world and learn from it. She was only 14 but could already speak 3 languages, Korean, English and French with the occasional bit of Japanese she had picked up on business trips.
"Everything okay?" You questioned when he hung up the phone and came over to you, he sat on the arm of the sofa next to you and nodded his head bending down to give you a gentle kiss on the top of your head.
"Just some more details to go through but everything's fine, how did her homework go?" He asked nodding his head down at the papers that were on the table in front of you, you scoffed leaning forward to pick up the different sheets of homework she'd been working on.
"She didn't need my help - as usual." You laughed, your daughter had always been exceptionally smart at everything she put her mind to but this homework was all about businesses. She had to create a fake brand and branch out with it, all within a fictional budget and timeline.
"She gets it from her dad," You whispered when Jungkook asked where she got it all from, you both knew it was impossible since she was adopted but you still liked to think that somehow she still got traits from both of you as her parents because that's what you were. Adopted or not she was your daughter.
"I think she'll take over everything when I die," He chuckled sliding in behind you on the sofa and wrapping his arm around your waist and snuggling his head into your neck.
Everyone saw Jungkook as a big CEO no one should mess with but deep inside he was just as soft as anybody else and wouldn't dream of hurting anyone - many people in his company knew it as well since he'd always been too scared to fire anyone, he never wanted to hurt someone's feelings which was odd. A CEO like him with a big heart was uncommon in the world, most of them didn't care for their employees but Jungkook did, he got to know most of everyone who worked for him, tried to relate to them in any way that he could and would help them if they ever needed it. The plane jolted and you gripped onto your daughter with one arm and Jungkook with the other, he hissed when he felt it do it once again.
"Sorry Sir, just a little trouble. One engine caught fire, we'll be okay until we land on your airstrip." You looked at the stewardess who had just come out of the cockpit to tell you both what was happening, luckily it was nothing major and you could both move on from it.
"Is the captain sure everything's okay?" She nodded slowly looking at all of you, she'd been working for Jungkook for the last four years and she was always pleasant when she worked on your flights.
"Everything is fine, he's assured me that we'll be fine until we land in ten minutes. After that, he'll have the engines repaired."
"Is dad okay?" Your daughter asked as you tucked her into her bed, the plane landed perfectly fine and it was being looked at by a professional but Jungkook was shaken up. Nothing had ever happened like that before, all of his planes were routinely checked by professionals, even if he wasn't flying anywhere he had them looked at to make sure nothing was wrong or could go wrong.
"He's okay baby, just a little worried about something. Don't worry about it, he loved your homework though." You soothed down the bedsheets and sat on the edge of her bed while you looked down at her, you began playing with her hair softly placing it behind her ear to make her sleepy again.
"He did? I was pretending to be him while I..." She yawned halfway through her sentence and closed her eyes - you'd learnt the hair trick from your grandmother who used to put you to sleep the same way.
"While I gave the presentation to my stuffed animals." You laughed softly as she fell to sleep almost right away, she'd always been able to do that though. One second she was awake and the next she was out like a light, it helped that she was a heavy sleeper too luckily she'd slept through the plane shaking and jittering around as you landed back on safe ground.
"Just call me when you have answers," His tone was authoritative as he hung up the phone and threw it down onto the double bed you were sitting in, you were in his favourite PJ's on you trying to convince him that everything would be fine when in reality you had no idea if it would or wouldn't be, you were just trying to make your husband relax before he had an aneurysm in front of you. He collapsed onto the bed in front of you and you began playing with his black hair, it was starting to get long enough for you to be able to put it into a man bun again - you used to do it all the time in college when you first started dating, you would put it in all sorts of styles but man buns were his favourite.
"You need a haircut," You mumbled pushing his head away as he tried to give you a kiss,
"I know, I'll fit one in tomorrow. How are you? Are you okay?" He'd been freaking out in the inside for hours about how you were feeling during the plane but you were fine, it was nothing major.
"I'm fine Kookie, I would be even better if my husband got into bed with me and stopped worrying," He sighed knowing you were right, he ran his hands through his hair before standing up from the bed,
"I'll have a shower and get into bed, will you turn the heating off? It's boiling in here." He groaned fanning himself as he tried to cool down, he was right though. The house had been exceptionally hot since the moment you got in and you were sure the heating was broken,
"I'll go shut it off at the boiler." You told him as you threw your legs off the bed and slipped into some slippers, he hummed at you from the en-suite and you made your way down the giant spiral staircase.
Most of the staff that Jungkook had working around the house were at home except for the live-in maid he had with you guys, she was tucked up in bed down by the living room and you didn't want to bother her with asking for help with the boiler. It was no big deal, you knew where it was and what you were doing, you just hated going down into the creepy basement that it was kept in.
Jungkook stirred beside you kicking off the sheets as you let out a cough,
"I thought you turned the heating down." He grumbled sitting up in the bed when his eyes widened, his nose was filled with smoke and there was smoke pouring in from underneath the door,
"Y/n! Get up!" You groaned opening your eyes to see what the big deal was when you smelt and saw the smoke as well, the smoke was starting to cloud which meant the fire was large.
"Go!" You screamed pushing him out of the door of your bedroom, you began coughing as the fire crackled from down the stairs, it was spreading its way along the living room floor, Jungkook sprinted in the direction of his daughter's bedroom while you tried to see what was starting the fire. The house was like something from a horror movie, everything was burning way too quickly, the plastic photo frames on the walls were all twisting and melting onto the floor and nothing was going o be saved.
"Y/n?! We have to move now!" You could hear your daughter coughing heavily and it brought you back to reality,
"Fire escape in your home office!" You were yelling to one another over the sound of the fire, you could smell chemicals and burning - of course burning, your house was on fire.
"Where are you going?!" He screamed watching as you made your way to the staircase, your feet could hardly touch it thanks to the heat radiating from downstair, it made the metal barely touchable.
"The maid! Jihoo! She's downstairs Kookie!" You were tearing up at the thought of her being hurt in something like this, you ignored Jungkook's pleas for you not to go down there and sprinted down the stairs pushing through the pain in your feet,
"GO! GET OUT!" You screamed at him, he clung onto your daughter who was starting to cough harder now, he could hear the firetrucks outside so he made a run for the office going out of the window and taking his daughter down the staircase out there.
"Jihoo!" You yelled, letting out a squeal when a flame danced out of control and began spreading closer to the bedroom door where she was staying.
"JIHOO!" You knew it was an invasion of privacy but right now it didn't seem important to you, she'd been working for you and Jungkook for years and was one of your most trusted employees.
"J-Jihoo?!" You spluttered out covering your mouth as you tried not to inhale too much smoke from the fire but she wasn't there, her things were gone. The room began to build up with black smoke and you groaned trying not to inhale it but it was filling up your lungs and making it harder for you to breathe.
Sirens were blaring loudly as you woke up, your eyes fluttering open as you were blinded by a bright white light,
"Ugh what the-" You stopped talking when you heard Jungkook's voice coming out in a panic,
"They're okay Mr Jeon, we just need to run some checks on them." You turned to see a paramedic looking at you and flashing a bright light into your eyes, for a second you thought you were a goner when you saw the white light.
"Can you tell me your name?"
"Jeon Y/n," He nodded and began asking you routine questions but your mind was on Jungkook and your daughter who was under one of those tinfoil blankets to help with shock. People were crowding around your house as the firefighters worked tirelessly to put it out, everything was gone. All the memories you had in the house, photographs, videos, everything was just gone and in a pile of ashes and rubble. There was a cold compress on your feet, you looked down to see what the paramedic was doing when he caught you looking,
"Your husband said you ran down metal stairs, we wanted to make sure your feet had no lasting damage. You're all okay except for a cough and some smoke inhalation. You'll be fine," He walked away as though your whole life wasn't just destroyed in one giant housefire that no one knew the cause of,
"Did you get to Jihoo?" You shook your head and went on to explain how she wasn't there and neither were her things, he frowned looking around for something.
"What's wrong?" You questioned but he wrapped the shock blanket around your daughter before walking over to a firefighter and getting into a lengthy discussion about what the fire was caused by.
It took 7 hours for them to battle the blaze and put it out, the sun had come out and a nanny had taken your daughter to a hotel to have a bath and get some rest while you and Jungkook stayed behind.
"There's nothing," You whispered looking through the rubble of what was once your house, the only thing that had lasted through the blaze was the metal staircase you'd sprinted down. Jungkook could tell you were getting upset so he stood behind you wrapping his arms around you to let you know it was okay, he was there and you weren't going through this alone.
"They think Jihoo was the one to start it all before leaving," You nodded knowing that it was probably true since she'd been the only other person in the house with extensive knowledge as to where anything was, it would have been easy for her to grab the accelerant used to make it burn faster and make it out alive with all of her things, the only real question was why she'd done it.
"Think it was because of something we did?" Your voice cracked as Jungkook walked you back onto the street, Police were combing through everything they could to find any kind of evidence they would need.
"We'll figure it out, I'm sure it was nothing we did. We loved her," He used his thumb to wipe away the tears from under your eyes and you sighed laying your head on his chest as you watched people begin to clean up what was left of your home.
"We hereby find the defendant guilty of arson, and guilty of attempted manslaughter." You looked down at your hands as the jury sat back down and the judge agreed with their verdict and began reading off the charges that Kim Jihoo was being charged with. Jungkook had his arm around your shoulder as a sign of support as she turned around to watch you both closely, her reasoning behind everything she'd done was because she'd been crazily obsessed with Jungkook for years and once she realised she could never get what she wanted, she wasn't going to let him be with anybody else.
"Take her away," The judge yelled, she turned back to the front and followed the police out while her chains rattled against the floor your eyes were downcast at your hands while Jungkook tried to comfort you. It was all over so you weren't going to have to worry about her coming to try it again but you still felt scared whenever you went to bed or hired someone new. There was a new policy being brought in to make larger background checks on everyone who worked for Jungkook, he didn't want to put his family at risk again but he was going to get you all through it.
"Let's go, we have a meeting with our daughter." He chuckled bringing you back to reality, your daughter was waiting back at the hotel you were staying in. She was going to give you her final presentation for her business project so you had something to keep you distracted for now.
"Going to be a CEO just like her daddy." You laughed walking with him in the direction of the parking lot.

Dive With Me
⚠ : slight (?) NSFW in the beginning.
pairing: Hoshiumi Korai x reader because he be second to my Morisuke.
HOLY SHIT, I FORGOT. THIS CONTAINS SLIGHT SPOILERS ABOUT THE HAIKYUU MANGA.
“K-Korai..!” you called out his name as you tightened around his dick. “Slow down.. a-ahh..” You grabbed the edge of the headboard to gather some strength because he was pounding into you real good. He was filling you to the brim, hitting the exact same spot over and over again.
He leaned closer to you with his mouth dangerously near your ear. Hearing his soft grunts and heavy breathing just turns you on even more than before. “If you want me to slow down, you have to beg,” he pulls out his thick cock until only the tip is in, he continued, “louder, for my name,” he thrusts in you in one swift harsh move, “and harder, my darling.” You clenched your dripping pussy upon hearing that endearment he only uses in bed.
You moaned and screamed his name as he thrusted in and out of you harder and faster. “Fuck, baby. Are you trying to milk me, huh? You feel so fucking good.” Without a word, you squeezed him inside you as you ride out your orgasm prolonged by your boyfriend's hot groans and marks by sucking your neck. Korai followed you and came inside, his thick cum filling up the condom haha u thought practice safe sex.
After resting for a bit, he stood up in all his crowning glory I mean dude he's seriously hot threw the condom in the trash bin and went back to the bed spooning you.
He placed soft open-mouthed kisses on your shoulder and nape, secretly trying to look at your phone screen.
“Korai, love,” you started and he hummed in response, his all attention on you. “Can we adopt?”
He moved his hand from your waist down and started drawing soothing circles on your stomach. “Why? Is one of us infertile or something? We can just make one. You should've told me to stop using con—” You cut him of by your hysterical laughter.
“Fuck!” You continued laughing, grabbing his hand tightly around your stomach as it starts to hurt. Then finally, you said, “But we can't make a whale, babe. I want a whale.”
Right then, you were now laying on your back and you see in your peripheral vision that your boyfriend is staring at you— blankly. After a while, he said breathlessly, “Are you serious right now? You're unbelievable.”
“But I really want a whale. Midnight is so cute!” you tried to reason out to him. You had your obsession with whales when you were in junior high. These large mammals roam in vast and calm oceans that you just wanna swim with them forever. You were a professional diver even before you started college and graduated from a prestigious school, earning your bachelor's degree in Marine Biology and now you're taking up Cetology for further studies.
Seeing that your boyfriend is still not convinced, you straddled his stomach, completely forgetting that you're butt-naked. Placing one of your gentle hands on his hard and toned chest, you gave him your puppy eyes, “Just look at him!” you exclaimed as you held out your phone to him, picture of Midnight's tail above the water.
And with that, Korai almost gave in to your charms like he always does. He placed his rough and calloused hands on your hips, “Baby, we can't possibly home a huge ass whale here—” and you snapped. You know Korai doesn't share the same love for whales as you do but he should at least know it's illegal to take whales from their natural habitat.
You got up and stood by the bed and said with such disappointment, “Home a whale? That's what's impossible. It's an adoption! It's just a certificate but the staff would take care of him. They'd just send us pictures and videos of our baby and that's it.” You stomped towards the bathroom, with your back facing him, you said, “You should've at least known that I'd never adopt a whale to live in our house but to help them,” entered the room and slammed the door at his gaping face.
Feeling irritated at your actions, Korai decided to share this to his team and get their opinions.
“Even you, Kageyama? Seriously,” he scoffed and went out for his early morning run. You usually go together but you're both irritated so Korai decided to just ignore you.
Walking out of the bathroom, you saw that Korai was no where to be found. Maybe I hurt him..? You tend to not think of someone's feelings when it comes to whales. Guessing that he won't be back until lunch or probably until dinner, you went to your university to continue your lab research. If he'll ignore you then might as well ignore him too.
You couldn't concentrate on your research and your professor suggested you go home early and come back when you feel better. You agreed, thinking that your boyfriend was waiting for you to come home and you'd make your dinner together but when you got home, it was empty. It was cold and just.. dull. He's not here. It's just a house.
Trying to be optimistic, you started to make dinner. Since your boyfriend is an athlete, you made him something which is low in carbs and high in protein. You were always thoughtful and observant — keeping tabs on every little detail about him. Like how he crunches his nose when he blushes, how he kisses your forehead when he has early morning practice, the way he moves making the smallest sounds possible because he doesn't want to wake you up..
An hour passed. Two, three, four..
You lost count and fell asleep in the dining room.
You've had enough. Alright, Y/N, you're going to the university, finish Chapter 4, pass it to professor, continue your experimentation, go for an evening jog and don't think of Korai. Who cares if you're getting busy the day before your birthday? Not like your boyfriend will throw an unexpected party or at least come home, right? You're pathetic. And you did just that.
Sun shining through the window, you slowly opened your eyes. You looked at the clock and it was already 11AM. Maybe he's home. You ran towards the door, with the biggest smile on your face, to see if his shoes are there. And they weren't.
You came home at around 21:32 and you're beat, so, you took a quick shower and went to bed, not bothered by the fact that he didn't come back.
The soft mattress of the bed left your back and was replaced by two strong and muscled arms. It was warm. It was home. It was Korai. You didn't believe that he was here carrying you to who-knows-where. But even so, guilt was eating you up and you said to the dream Korai, “I'm so sorry, love,” and you sniffled a cry. The dream Korai kissed your forehead and then a peck to your lips. “I'm sorry too, my love, but I need you to go back to sleep, okay?” He's not real but you muttered an okay back anyway.
When you dream, you always end up waking up on the floor not unless Korai is holding you in your sleep but you didn't expect that you'd wake up in a different.. soft bed. You slowly sat up because you were kinda dizzy. Maybe you did fall off the bed but the small window inside the room said otherwise. It was still dark out, probably dawn. Your boyfriend's Adlers jacket caught your eyes. It was hung beside the window with a pair track pants and your favorite shirt from Korai's closet. Feeling a little chilly, you wore the given clothes and tucked your hands inside the pocket of the jacket. You felt a paper and took it out. It read: Come to the upper deck, baby. There are signs so you won't get lost. I'll be waiting.
You saw him leaning slightly over the railings. With the strong wind and waves crashing against the ship, he couldn't hear you walking towards him. You placed your arms around his torso, placing your hands against his rock-hard abs to keep it warm. “You weren't a dream after all,” you whispered more to yourself as you tightened your grip around him.
“I'm always real,” he replied as he took one of your hands and putting it up to his lips to kiss it. It was warm. It was real. Clenching your hand to a fist, you pressed your forehead against his back and held back the tears. “You're here. You came back..”
He turned around and held your chin with his thumb and index finger to look into your eyes. His features softened even more as he saw your tears. He cupped your cheek and held you by your waist, pulling you closer to him and pressed his lips against yours. You missed this. You missed him. The kiss was slow and passionate. You pulled for a brief moment to tilt your heads and came back to each other's lips. Eyes closed, bodies in one big bubble, and hearts connected. He pulled away and you chased his lips and slowly opened your eyes. He has this mischievous glint in his eyes. You know he saw you wanting for more and you blushed looking down.
“Fuck this,” you muttered. You wrapped your arms around his neck, standing on your tip-toes, and kissed him again. This time, longer.
He snaked his arms around your waist and backed you up against the railing. He bit and nibbled on your plump lower lip as he pulled away, out of breath. He placed an open-mouthed kiss on your exposed neck and you moaned at the warmth.
“Let's go back to our room, yeah? It's quite cold,” he stated as he ran his hands through your hair.
“Carry me? You're warm,” you showed him your puppy eyes and super pouty lips, result of your intense kiss.
He shook his head and smiled at your cuteness. He spread his arms and said, “Jump,” and you did. He immediately supported your body as your wrapped your arms and legs around him, burying your head in the crook of his neck and dozed off.
You woke up again in a moving vehicle but this time, you were blindfolded.
“Korai! Are you fucking serious?!” you shouted because you have no idea where your boyfriend is seated or whether he is in the vehicle.
Series of laughters and uh-oh's erupted as someone chuckled beside you and kissed your cheek. “Don't worry, love. We're close. I just hope you're ready for this.” You scoffed, said fine, and squeezed his hand.
After a while, the vehicle stopped. The door was opened and Korai tugged your hand. As soon as you were outside, you asked, “The ocean..?”
Korai guided you to an office. You heard him say, “Mr. Hoshiumi. Yes.. yes. Thank you.”
“Ko-chaaaaaan, tell me what's happening. Take of—” And he really did take off your blindfold. He handed you a paper bag and instructed, “Go change into that. The changing room is up ahead to the right. I'll wait for you here.”
In less than 3 minutes, you came back to the spot and screamed, “I'M GOING DIVING?!” with so much excitement that the staff started to laugh quietly. You eyed your boyfriend. The wetsuit hugging his toned body and it occurred to you.. “YOU'RE DIVING WITH ME?”
Double-checking whether your gears are properly secured, your eyes caught a whale, leaping out of the water. You're frozen in the spot. “Korai..”
“Hmm?” he replied, busy with the equipment.
“I saw Midnight,” you said to him. Then, you turned to the staff who was with you and asked, “The whale who just leapt. That was Midnight, right? Tell me I'm right.”
As she was about to answer, the sound of a whale diving back into the water entered your ears. You whipped your head and just saw the tail. Your eyes widened. “Holy fucking shit, Korai! It really is Midnight!” you whisper-shouted to him.
His eyebrows furrowed and confusion was clear on his handsome features, “How do you know? You just saw it's tail.”
“Exactly!”
“What? Don't whales all look the same?”
You can't help but roll your eyes at his question. “Of course not. Whales are identified and and named by their tails. His name is Midnight because his whole tail is a dark shade of blue.”
“Oh, good. Now I can identify my son as well,” he said to you smiling. You melted at the sight but then you realized..
“Son?! You adopted Midnight?!” you whisper-shouted at him again.
“Yes, and why are you whisper-shouting? You can just voice out your excitement, you know?”
You glared at him, “Excuse me, Hoshiumi Korai. You must know that whales could be gravely affected by noise pollution.”
After diving into the water with Korai and the staff, who is holding a camera, maybe for documentation of something, you quickly searched for Midnight.
With your keen eye, you spotted him and quickly swam towards him, Korai and the staff followed behind, so you could bond with him.
While swimming with the adopted whale with so much joy, Korai grabbed your hand and made you face him.
You gave him a questioning look and it was answered the time he pulled out a small box and opened it. You were shocked.
You pulled the him upwards, heads now above the water. You quickly took off his mouthpiece and goggles. As you locked eyes with him, he knew the answer.
He wrapped his arms around your waist and pulled you close, he held the box tightly in his hand and you wrapped yours around his neck.
Your lips met. The saltwater or probably tears joining in your mouth. He pulled away, pressed his forehead against yours and held your left hand. As he slipped the ring and kissed you once again, Midnight leapt just behind you. And the staff captured this perfect moments.
After getting the certificate of adoption and the whale brochure, you were now in the upper deck with Korai by your side, enjoying the full-blown formal engagement party planned by your fiance's rivals and now friends back in his highschool days.
With a drink in his hand, a light brown-haired man approached you. You recognized him as one of Korai's teammates in the Japanese National Team.
“Congrats, man. I was gonna let you pay double for the rent if Y/N-san here didn't accept your marriage proposal,” Yaku-san said and laughed lightly. He acknowledged you by bringing his cup of wine lightly towards you and you did the same.
“Thanks and as if I'd pay double. Go away. Shoo!”
“Oh, you're dissing the owner of the ship now? How bold, Hoshiumi-san,” then Yaku started to walk away. When he was near the door, he shouted, “Pay triple, you fucktard!”
As Korai was babbling incoherent words, probably insults, you grabbed him by the arm and pulled him towards the side of the deck where no one can see you. Looking down and pinching his blazer, “Give it me.”
“Give to you what?”
“Your coat! Let me wear it.. ”
He hugged you tight and placed his chin on top of your head, “Why, my fiancee? Want to show your possessio—”
“My nipples are hard, goddamn it, Korai!” you said it directly at his chest. He pulled away looked at your body. You looked extra ravishing tonight as you wore a red silk dress—low cut to show enough cleavage, a slit up just below your hip, spaghetti straps and your lower back fully exposed.
“You're so perfect I want to pound into you until you can't attend university for your degree but I'll deal with you later,” he said as he took of his coat and draped it over your shoulders.
“Let's go greet some more guests,” he said and started to walk towards the crowd.
Feeling a little bolder, you grabbed his tie and pulled him towards you, nose touching.
Maintaining eye contact, you licked his upper lip and said seductively, “Can later be now, darling?”
He groaned into the crook of your neck and replied, “I'm gonna give you the best birthday present yet.”

A Fresh Start - Part 17
Pairing: Single Parent!Dean x Reader
Warnings: Little angst, Mentions of past heartbreak, Fluff
Word Count: 3,554
A/N: This is Part 17 of A Fresh Start.
Series Masterlist
“Dean, honey, calm down,” you laugh as you reach over to rub your hand across his shoulders.
“I can’t,” Dean says as he looks over at you. “Not until those adoption papers are signed and Avery is legally mine. Then I will calm down.”
“Hey, look,” you tell Dean as you motion your head over to where Sam is sitting with both Avery and Cooper climbing around on him. “Look at those two then tell yourself that everything isn’t going to be okay.”
Dean looks over at you as he takes a deep breath. “I can’t…”
“I know that you can’t lose her, Dean,” you tell Dean softly. “You’re not going to. There’s no one else to take care of Avery and I’m sure that they’re not going to say that foster care is better than living with you. You’re here to sign the adoption papers and that’s it.”
“You know that that’s not…”
“Dean,” you laugh softly. “Don’t breakdown in the middle of the courtroom, okay?” You look around, smiling when you see who walks into the room. “Look,” you tell Dean.
Dean turns in his seat and he smiles softly when he sees John and Mary walk into the courtroom. “Hey,” Dean says softly.
“Has anything happened yet? Mary asks as they take the seat beside of Dean.
“No,” Dean shakes his head. “We’re here a little early.”
Avery gasps, causing you to look over to see Avery sliding down out of Sam’s lap. Avery runs over and climbs up onto the seat between John and Mary.
“Maybe those two should be the ones adopting her,” Dean chuckles as he looks over at Avery and shakes his head a bit. “Would you rather go live with Grandma and Grandpa?”
Avery gasps excitedly. “Can I?”
Dean rolls his eyes as he leans against the seat. “I thought she loved me.”
You laugh as you lean your head over onto Dean’s arm. Avery sees this and she stares at you before she crawls across Mary’s lap, over onto Dean’s, and looks up at you with a pout.
“Okay, jealous,” Dean laughs as he lays his chin onto Avery’s head.
“Daddy,” Avery giggles when Dean’s hold on her tightens a bit. “You’re squishing me.”
“Sorry, bug,” Dean tells her as he tries to let go a bit.
“Daddy!” Cooper hollers as he looks over at Dean and reaches out towards him.
“I’m popular today,” Dean laughs as Cooper climbs up into Dean’s lap. Cooper tries to push you away from Dean, causing you to laugh a bit as you lean away from Dean.
“I think that you have two jealous little monkeys there,” you tell Dean. Dean chuckles as he nods and presses a kiss to Avery and Cooper’s head. You reach over to lay a hand onto Dean’s shoulder, and he smiles over at you as he tires his best to calm down.
Dean wraps and arm around your waist as you walk out of the courthouse. You look up at Dean and smile widely at him, noticing the tears in his eyes.
“You alright, babe?” you ask him as you reach over to lay your hand onto Dean’s chest. Dean looks at you as he nods his head, pulling you in and pressing a kiss to your temple.
“We did it,” Dean sniffs. He turns to look at the kids to see that Sam is carrying Cooper, and Avery is clinging onto John’s leg. “She’s mine.” Dean looks down at you as he lets a few tears fall. “Thank you, sweetheart.”
“For what?”
Dean swallows hard. “I couldn’t have done this without you, (Y/N).”
“Dean, I didn’t do anything.”
Dean laughs softly. “Sweetheart, I couldn’t have done this without you at all.” Dean turns you around to look you in the eyes and he shakes his head a bit. “(Y/N), you have been taking care of my kids as if they’re your own. You’ve been putting up with my grouchy butt, and you’ve shown me an unhuman amount of forgiveness. Honey, I don’t know how on earth you stand to look me in the eyes. Now here we are, making all of this between us turn out okay. Avery and Cooper absolutely love you and you are amazing with them. Thank you.”
“Dean, you don’t have to thank me at all,” you tell him softly. “I do it because I love those kids and I love you.”
“Well, in case you haven’t noticed, we love you.”
You smile softly as Dean leans in to give you a sweet kiss.
“Ew, Daddy,” Avery giggles. Dean laughs as he kneels down to take Avery into his arms. “You happy, Daddy?”
Dean chuckles as he nods his head at Avery. “I’ll never be able to tell how happy I am, bug,” Dean tells Avery as he presses a kiss to her head. Sam tries to hand Cooper over to you so that you can put him in his carseat, but Cooper whines as he tries to hide his face in Sam’s shoulder.
“Okay, kiddo, go to Mom… (Y/N). Sorry,” Sam tells you as he passes Cooper over to you.
“It’s alright,” you laugh. “He’s been calling me Mom anyways so it isn’t a big deal.”
“No,” Cooper whines as he reaches out towards Sam.
“Sorry, Coop, but I’m sure that your Daddy wants you to go with him and Avery,” Sam tells Cooper as he reaches over to ruffle up his hair. “Need anything?” Sam asks as he looks over at Dean.
“No,” Dean shakes his head. “You’ve done enough for me.”
“You call if you need me to do anything,” Sam says.
“I will,” Dean nods as Sam turns to walk off, followed by John and Mary.
“Hey, wait a minute,” Dean hollers out to them as he puts Avery in her carseat. “Sweetheart…”
“I’ve got the kids,” you smile softly at Dean. He nods his head at you before he walks over to his parents.
“(Y/N),” Avery says as she looks over at you.
“What is it, sweetie?” you ask her as you lean in to buckle Cooper up in his seat.
Avery gives you an almost shy look. “I love you.”
You smile softly at Avery as you reach over to gently push some of her hair out of her eyes. “I love you too, Avery.” Cooper squeals out and you laugh at him. “Yeah, and you too, jealous little man.”
“(Y/N), do you think that you’ll ever be our Mommy?”
“I think that’s something that you need to let us grownups discuss,” Dean says as he walks over and wraps an arm around your waist. Avery huffs as she pouts up at Dean, and Dean laughs as he reaches around you so that he can shut the door.
You turn around to face Dean as you wrap your arms around his neck. “What was that about?” you ask him. Dean takes a deep breath.
“I had to thank Mom and Dad for showing up today,” Dean tells you. “They’re making an honest effort and I want them to know that I appreciate it.”
“Avery was happy that they were able to show up.”
“We all were,” Dean says as he smiles softly at you. “It wouldn’t have been possible if you hadn’t…”
“I didn’t do anything, Dean,” you tell him softly as you shake your head a bit at him. “I told you that I’d like it if you’d try to talk to them. You’re the one who took that step and actually did it.”
Dean shakes his head. “Can I thank one person without them being so humble?”
You laugh as Dean presses a kiss to your temple. Dean takes a deep breath as he lets go of you.
“Home?” Dean asks.
You smile as you slowly nod your head at Dean. “Yeah.” ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Daddy, please let me go.”
“I’m never going to let go of you anymore, bug,” Dean tells Avery as he tightens his hold on her.
“Don’t squeeze me,” Avery giggles.
Dean presses a kiss to Avery’s head before he tucks her head underneath his chin. Dean looks up when you walk into Avery’s bedroom carrying Cooper on your hip.
“Someone won’t let me lay them down without their Daddy,” you tell Dean.
Dean laughs as he presses another kiss to Avery’s head and lays her down. “Alright, bug,” Dean says as he tucks Avery in underneath the covers. Dean presses a kiss to Avery’s forehead and rubs his nose up against her. “Holler if you need anything.”
“I will, Daddy,” Avery says, causing a wide smile to spread across Dean’s face.
“I’ll never get tired of hearing either of them call me that,” Dean says as he walks over to you to take Cooper from your arms.
“I’ll go downstairs while you’re putting little man to bed,” you tell Dean.
“Alright,” Dean smiles as you reach over to run your fingers through Cooper’s hair. You give Dean a small smile as you turn to walk off.
“Mama,” Cooper whimpers. Dean laughs as he rubs a hand over Cooper’s little head.
“I thought that you were wanting me,” Dean tells Cooper softly as he walks into the nursery with him.
“Mama.”
“No, Daddy’s gotcha,” Dean whispers as he bounces Cooper a bit, lightly patting his bottom.
“Daddy.”
“Yeah, you’re okay, little buddy,” Dean says as he lays Cooper down in his crib. Dean presses a kiss to Cooper’s head and lets him settle into a comfortable position before he turns to walk out of the room.
“You alright?” you softly ask Dean as he walks down the steps.
Dean looks over at you as he smiles widely. “Never been better, sweetheart.”
Dean walks over and takes both of your hands in his, pulling you in and pressing a kiss to your lips.
“Walk me to my car?”
“Okay,” Dean smiles softly as he leads you over towards the front door. Dean keeps his fingers tangled up with yours as he walks you over to your car. “Hey, sweetheart?”
“Yeah?”
Dean takes a deep breath as he stops walking and turns to face you, both of his hands tightly gripping onto yours. “I wasn’t going to say anything yet until all the paperwork goes through, but I put enough money up to open my own garage. Away from the house.”
Your eyes widen a bit. “Really? Dean, that’s amazing,” you tell Dean as you wrap your arms tightly around his neck. “I’m so proud of you moving past everything, baby.”
You feel Dean smile against your neck as he presses his lips there. “Now I won’t be there breathing down your neck when you babysit the kids.”
You swallow hard as you pull away from Dean. “Dean?”
“Yeah?”
“I don’t think that I can be the kids’ babysitter anymore.”
Dean’s face falls. “Did I do something wrong?”
“No,” you tell Dean truthfully as you shake your head at him. “No, Dean, it’s weird now.”
“Weird? What’s weird about it?”
“Well, us being together now makes it kind of different.”
Dean takes a deep breath. “Why does that have to change things?”
“I don’t know, Dean.”
“You’ve been okay with it until now.”
“Yeah, but things between me and you are going really good and…”
“I need someone to look out for the kids and you’re needing the money,” Dean tells you. “Where we stand with each other doesn’t have to change that.”
“Yeah, but I feel like I’m getting paid for doing something that I should be doing anyways.”
“Oh,” Dean breathes out.
“I mean, I’m around them most of the time now anyways. I take care of them when me and you are together and I don’t get paid for it, so I feel weird getting paid for helping you with them when you’re busy. I… I don’t know.”
“So what you’re saying is that you want me to hire another young, cute babysitter to watch after my kids and also for me to fall completely in love with her.”
“No,” you laugh as you playfully hit Dean’s arm. “Technically you didn’t fall in love with me while I was babysitting. We were already in love.”
Dean laughs softly as he slowly nods his head at you.
“Look, I’ll still help you with those two because I don’t want to put you out. I don’t want you to pay me for it anymore though.”
Dean shakes his head a bit at you. “Then what will you do about the money, (Y/N)?”
“I’ll figure it out, Dean,” you tell Dean softly. “I do want to keep helping you with the kids, but less as their babysitter and more like…”
“Their Mother,” Dean says softly.
“Yeah,” you choke out. “I mean, I love those two kids as much as you do.”
“Well,” Dean says softly. “Then there’s only one solution to this problem that I know of.”
“And what’s that?”
“Marry me.”
“What?” you laugh a bit as you look up at Dean, not sure if you heard him correctly or not. Dean smiles softly at you as he drops to one knee. “Dean,” you breathe out, your eyes widening a bit.
“Sweetheart, I know that I’ve made mistakes that I will never be able to make it up to you. I want to move on from that if you’re willing to,” Dean tells you as he looks up at you.
“Of course I am,” you choke out as the tears slide down your cheeks
“I know that I said we need a fresh start and that we need to take things slow, but I can’t lose you this time around. We can go as slow as we want to after this, but I cannot go another day without you saying that you want to be my wife,” Dean tells you as he gives your hands a small squeeze. “(Y/N), will you marry me?”
You nod and let a sob escape you. “Yes,” you choke out, barely getting the word out when Dean jumps up to his feet and pulls you in for a loving kiss. Dean pulls away and rests his forehead against yours. He brings his hands up to cup your cheeks, his thumbs softly brushing away your tears as he lets his go.
“I promise not to run away from you this time,” Dean tells you, causing you to laugh and give him a light shove.
“I love you, Dean.”
“I love you too, (Y/N),” Dean tells you softly. You start crying that much harder and Dean pulls you in tightly, gently running his fingers through your hair. “Shh, baby girl, everything’s okay. Me and you are going to be okay now.” Dean holds onto you tightly as you sob and shake in his arms. “It’s alright, honey.”
“I can’t help it,” you tell Dean. “I’m really happy. All I’ve wanted all this time is you and now I have you and the kids and I can’t wrap my mind around it all.”
Dean chuckles as he presses a kiss to your temple. “Avery’s gonna be so excited when we tell her.”
“Yeah,” you laugh softly.
Dean pulls you away a bit to look you in the eyes. “We might not be able to have our own kid, but I want you to adopt Avery and Cooper,” Dean tells you.
“Dean,” you gasp.
“I know that it’s going to be a little tougher than if they were biologically mine…”
“I don’t care,” you tell Dean truthfully as you shake your head at him. “Of course I want them to be mine too.” You take a deep breath. “Gosh, you’re not going to be happy until I have a complete emotional meltdown.”
Dean chuckles as he leans in to kiss you but his lips barely touch your before he pulls away a bit.
“Dean?”
“Your ring is still sitting in my top dresser drawer,” Dean tells you as he turns to walk inside.
“I do not care about the ring, idiot, kiss me some more.”
Dean laughs as he wraps his arms tightly around you once more. Dean smiles softly at you as he leans in to press his lips firmly to yours. “I love you, sweetheart.”
You swallow hard and nod your head. “I love you, Dean.” ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Hey,” Dean smiles widely as he opens up the front door.
“Hi,” you laugh as Dean leans in to kiss you. “They in a good mood this morning?”
“No,” Dean chuckles. “But they will be when we tell them. Especially Avery.”
“I hope she takes it better than my parents did.”
Dean’s eyes widen. “You talked to them?”
“Yeah,” you breathe out. “I thought that they should at least know.”
“And?”
You shake your head. “They told me that any man who won’t work for my Dad to support me and wants to be a mechanic instead doesn’t deserve me. But that’s them, Dean. I don’t think that…”
“Shh. I know, sweetheart,” Dean tells you softly as he pulls you in, wrapping his arms as tight around you as he can. “They are right, though. Maybe not for the same reason that they’re saying, but I don’t deserve you.”
“I think that you’ve got that turned around, Winchester.”
Dean smiles softly at you as he shakes his head. “Anybody willing to forgive and forget like you have is definitely more than I deserve.”
You shake your head, but Dean leans in and kisses you before you can say anything.
“I think that we’ve got a couple of kids to make extremely happy,” Dean tells you as he wraps an arm around your waist and leads you into the kitchen where Avery and Cooper are sitting on the floor.
“What are you two doing?” Avery looks up when she hears you speak.
“(Y/N)!” Avery squeals. You laugh as you walk over and pick her up off of the floor.
“Are you two coloring?”
“Yeah,” Avery smiles as she wraps her arms around your neck. Cooper frowns up at Avery and runs over to wrap his little arms around your leg.
“Alright, let (Y/N) breathe,” Dean laughs as he walks over to pick up their toys and Cooper. “Will you take this up to the playroom for me, bug?” Dean asks Avery as he holds out their stuff.
“Okay,” Avery says as you put her down on the ground. Avery walks over to take the toys and coloring books from Dean before she turns to run up the steps.
Dean smiles as he walks over and straps Cooper into his highchair. “Can’t forget this,” Dean tells you as he turns to face you, pulling a small velvet box from his pocket.
“Dean,” you breathe out as he hands it to you. He opens it and pulls the ring out, taking your left hand in his as he gently slides the ring onto your finger.
“I needed that last night,” Dean tells you.
“No you didn’t, baby,” you tell Dean truthfully. Dean smiles softly as he takes your face between both of his hands and presses his lips firmly to yours.
“Feel better?” Dean asks.
“Much better,” you smile.
“You didn’t lay in bed wondering why on earth you said yes to me?” Dean asks you.
“Absolutely not,” you laugh softly. “More like I laid there wondering what took us so long to find each other and what on earth were we thinking when we said that we needed to take things slow this time.”
Dean chuckles as he presses another kiss to your lips, pulling away when you hear Avery giggling at the both of you.
“Alright,” Dean tells her. “Go sit down, bug.”
Avery runs over to the dining room table and climbs up into her seat. “(Y/N)!” Avery hollers as she motions over to the seat beside of her.
“No, Mama!” Cooper cries as he reaches out towards you.
“I want her to sit by me!”
“Okay, you two can share me you know,” you laugh. Avery pouts up at you.
“Scoot,” Dean tells her. Avery huffs as you help her climb over into the other chair. You take your seat, and Dean reaches across the table to take your hand in his.
“Avery, there’s something that me and (Y/N) need to tell you,” Dean says.
“What?” Avery asks as she looks from Dean to you.
Dean nods his head at you and you take a deep breath. “Avery, sweetie, I’m not going to be your and Cooper’s babysitter anymore.”
Avery’s eyes widen as they tear up and it breaks your heart. “Why? I did something bad?”
“No, bug,” Dean chuckles. “Me and (Y/N) talked yesterday and she’s going to be your Mom instead.”
Avery gasps as her little eyes widen. “Really?” You nod and Avery squeals as she launches herself out of her chair towards you.
“Easy, bug,” Dean chuckles.
“Sorry,” Avery giggles as she wraps her little arms tightly around your neck. “I’m happy.”
“Me too, Avery,” you smile at her. You look over at Cooper to see that he’s staring at the three of you like you’ve gone crazy. You take a deep breath as the tears well up in your eyes, and Dean gives your hand a small squeeze.
“You alright?” Dean asks softly.
“Yeah,” you tell Dean, nodding your head at him. “I’m perfect.”

Foxgloves
Whoops my hand slipped.
I am here today with another angst fic. So, this is a sort-of Ghostbur POV of my ‘Clouds’ and ‘Clouds V.2.’ fic. I do recommend reading those two before this one for actual context.
Anyway, hope you guys like this and just like the other fics, same trigger warnings apply.
As for Ao3 link, I won’t add it cause Tumblr deletes my posts if I add external links. (I don’t get it either)
TW: Poisoning and Major Character Death
Ghostbur paced along his desolate abode, traces of teardrops scarring the smooth stone floor. His mind was a haze of fog, his son’s word echoing neverendingly in his ears. Oh… his sweet boy… his little champion…
A book was clutched in his hands, the paper wrinkling beneath his harsh touch. His dead heart ached within his chest, a waterfall of blood pouring from the fatal wound that took him away from this wretched world. He shivered, colder than he usually was. The sewers were silent… lonely… it was driving him mad.
With a bitter cry, he threw the book into the roaring fireplace, collapsing upon the floor in a terrible anguish. His soot-covered fingers clawed at his hair, tugging at the strands until he felt some semblance of pain… but ghosts didn’t feel pain. His sobs tore through the room, unheard by any man or woman for night had settled upon New L’Manburg. If anyone were to awaken, they might just hear his haunting wails. His arms wrapped around himself, a pitiful try at self-comfort as the day’s memory repeated in his head.
He trailed after Tubbo, the young president inspecting the land they had begun to build upon. Ghostbur happily followed after him, adding his occasional suggestion each time Tubbo asked for his own input.
“Well, I think that’s all on the agenda for today.” Tubbo paused, reaching to scour through his inventory for a material Ghostbur could care less to remember. He watched as Tubbo froze in place, a startled look on his face as he brought out an enchanted netherite shovel. “Oh. Oh no. Fundy was looking for his stuff last night… I didn’t know I had them on me. Please excuse me, Ghostbur, I have to return these to him.”
His attention rose at the mention of Fundy. Fundy had been avoiding his presence ever since he came back… he didn’t understand why and he didn’t want to. The seed of an idea was planted in his mind, this was an opportunity to speak to Fundy! “Y-you know, I wouldn’t mind returning them for you.”
“Really? Thanks, Ghostbur!” Tubbo had dumped a variety of objects in Ghostbur’s arms, the strangely named tools making him chuckle as he tucked them into his inventory. He gave Tubbo a small farewall before heading off to find Fundy. This was perfect! This was his chance to be a good dad! To do good dad things! Then… Then maybe Fundy would look him in the eyes… wouldn’t run off in the opposite direction the moment he came into view… This would fix whatever grievance he had done when he was alive… right?
As he scoured through New L’Manburg for Fundy, he had stumbled upon Eret’s museum. Eret. Ghostbur shivered, a haunting memory of screams and explosions resonating in his head. He shook the thought away… and just like that, he’d forgotten what it was that had scared him so. He perused through the unfinished structure, remnants of a past he barely recognized displayed in all their beautiful glory.
Bad images came to mind and he quickly exited the area. He didn’t want to remember. He took another stroll through New L’Manburg, his eyes scanning for a tell-tale sign of Fundy’s whereabouts. As he stepped onto the wooden pathway, the trace of a fox’s tail caught his attention. He turned to see Fundy at the center of town, scrambling between the empty space as if in search for something… And Ghostbur had what Fundy was looking for! His heart soared. Oh, Fundy would be so happy to see him! “Fundy! Hi! Hi!”
A pair of gold-flecked brown eyes snapped towards him, irritation flashing in their gaze as Ghostbur floated towards Fundy. Ghostbur couldn’t help but worry, dark circles had wormed their way beneath Fundy’s eyes, as if he hadn’t been sleeping for a long time. Well… Ghostbur was sure if Fundy needed it, he could concoct a sleeping potion of sorts. But anyway… “Fundy! I have your stuff! Here, these are yours, right?”
“Y-yeah, actually. Thanks, Wil.” Fundy winced, taking his stuff from Ghostbur. His face reddened as an excited wheeze tore through his throat as Ghostbur handed him his schlong. “Oh… my bow is missing.”
Ghostbur looked at the bow in his inventory. “Uh, sorry. I don’t have it.”
He didn’t understand why he’d lied, but Fundy could make a new bow, couldn’t he? Ghostbur hardly had anything of Fundy’s that he could hold onto… surely an old bow wouldn’t be missed, right? Yeah.
“Thanks, Wil. I really… I really appreciate this.” Ghostbur held his breath as Fundy gave him a small smile, hesitant as it may be. Fundy smiled at him! He did something good, didn’t he? Fundy turned to leave but… but Ghostbur didn’t want him to leave. They just started talking again! He trailed after Fundy, the hint of a question dancing on his tongue. Fundy’s sharp glare turned to him. All previous gratitude gone. “What?”
“I did a… I did a good dad thing, didn’t I, Fundy?” He held his hands together, the heated scrutiny of Fundy’s gaze piercing through his ghostly form. Fundy’s shoulders shook in fury or in another emotion, Ghostbur couldn’t quite tell. Then Fundy looked away, a look of pity in his eyes as he spoke the next few words.
“I’m getting adopted, Wilbur.” The world turned deathly still, a tenseness in the air as Ghostbur’s felt the ground beneath his feet collapse. Fundy scurried a little bit away from him, clutching the sleeves of his jacket Ghostbur had made him that jacket as he looked everywhere but at him. “Eret came up to me yesterday with an offer. He’s offered to adopt me since you’re… We’re just waiting for Phil to sign.”
“Eret… We don’t like Eret… I-it’s in the song, Fundy.”
Fundy tries to explain, but Ghostbur couldn’t hear his words, static crackled in his ears as he turned and ran off. He couldn’t look at Fundy. He couldn’t bear it… He… He… He knows he had a talk with Phil after that, holding back the tears that threatened to spill from his eyes. Then he wandered away from New L’Manburg, stumbling upon a familiar yet nightmarish lived-in ravine. He looks at the myriad of buttons on the walls, a conclusion forming in his mind. Fundy needed a dad… and Ghostbur wanted his son.
He floats up from the ground, he’d made up his mind.
He couldn’t let Eret take his son. He couldn’t let some traitor steal his son from him. He heads over to the materials he had gathered as soon as he had left that ravine. He had everything he needed. Niki had even helped him gather some of the berries, that was kind of her to do! He just had to put them all together.
His son would understand. He’d understand.
Ghostbur just wanted to protect his son.
‘This is for my son.’ He thinks, the foxglove held tightly in his hand. ‘He needs me. I’ll protect him.’
.
.
.
Ghostbur watched in the distance.
His son was pacing in front of Eret’s castle, his ears and tail frantic with nervous energy. The ghost hoped he wasn’t the cause for his son’s distress. He’d hate for his son to be suffering because of him.
The picnic basket weighed heavy in his hands, guilt gnawing at his undead insides as he recalled the sweet smile his son had when he heard the happy and joyful news. He could still turn around, run home and cook something of actual worth. Tears pricked at his eyes. How could he go through with this? Could he go through with this?
“With Wilbur, Tommy, Tubbo, fuck Eret…” The soft tune seemingly echoed within the breeze, though he knew himself to be alone. No. Ghostbur had to do this. Eret… Eret was a bad person. It’s in the song for fuck’s sake. He couldn’t let his son be adopted by some-some person who had done something against their nation. Eret was a traitor. They didn’t deserve to be anywhere near his son. He remembers trailing after Phil earlier on in the day, invisible to all gazes as he slipped within the castle right after his father.
He floated along the halls, surveying every detail that could cause harm upon his son. Why did this castle have towers? His son could fall from one dammit. He took note of the staircases, the crystalline chandeliers that hung from the ceiling, and the thick red carpet that suffocated the floor beneath their feet.
His son could trip on these carpets.
The staircases are too high, what if his son tripped on the way down?
What if a chandelier fell and crushed his son?
Why are there so many candelabras? His son could burn himself!
Wha― Were those actual flamingos?
Those paintings looked as if they were staring at him… what if they dragged his son into the paintings?!
Why does that bed have a roof? What if it falls on his son? What then, huh?!
The windows were easily opened… and with such a high drop…!
That servant looked at his son a little bit too suspiciously…
The castle was stifling hot, how could his son even breath in here?
Eret wasn’t even a real king.
Ghostbur was sure Phil would tell Eret ‘no’, that the castle was too dangerous. He stayed out of the room as the two of them signed the papers, choosing to watch over his son in the meantime.
He wished he could pull his son into his arms and run. Run far away from there, perhaps even far away from New L’Manburg. It’d be just the two of them, almost as if nothing had ever happened. They’d be family again… though without Sally… No. No. Sally would forever live within their hearts.
When he saw Phil and Eret leave the room, warm smiles upon their faces, his poor undead heart shattered into pieces. Phil patted Eret on the back, a congratulations leaving his tongue as he left the new parent-son duo with each other. His son had all but thrown himself into Eret’s open arms, a laugh bubbling from his throat as Eret spun him around. Ghostbur knows he should be happy, content that his son had found joy despite the despair-filled days of before. Yet… as he listens to Eret call his son as his… all he sees is red. Fundy was his son.
And if he can’t have Fundy, then no one…
No one can have Fundy.
Ghostbur snapped out from the vision, purpose filling his metaphorical veins as he floated towards his son. His son looked up at him, a curious look on his face as he looks at the picnic basket in Ghostbur’s hands. Ghostbur forced a smile on his face. He just needed to get his son away from here. Then they’ll be together again, this time without all that emotional baggage that Ghostbur didn’t want them to have.
They’d be happy. His son wouldn’t have to worry about being abandoned anymore… and Ghostbur wouldn’t have to watch as his son is torn away from his side by some traitor. He leads them toward a far-off river, the same river they used to visit before the war… before Sally died… His son looks bored, not that Ghostbur minded. After their picnic, why… his son wouldn’t look at him like that ever again. He could barely contain his excitement, topics filtering through his mind as he tries to start a conversation.
They reach the river bank…
His son snaps out of his own reverie at the sound of Ghostbur’s voice, much to his joy. He lets his son peek inside the basket, lets him take out the… unappetizing salad. Ghostbur watches as his son finally takes a bite, doesn’t miss the way his son blanches at the bitter taste… but his son continues on eating.
Ghostbur lets out a sigh of relief, he no longer had anything to fear. His son will be with him soon enough.
He lets his controlled fury direct the conversation, mentioning the traitor’s name to see how his son would react. He can’t say that he isn’t disappointed and regretful when his son’s own anger rises to defend his new… parent. He can’t say he doesn’t feel a twinge of pain when his son collapses from the poison.
His arms curl around his weeping son, reassuring words flowing from his mouth as he tries to console his dying son. He listens to his son’s shallow breathing, listens as they stutter out into silence. He presses his head against his son’s chest, feeling the rapid beat of his son’s heart as it begins to slow down. He holds his son tight against his form, guilt drowning the momentary triumph he had felt a few seconds ago.
“I’m sorry.”
.
.
.
There’s a song on the tip of his tongue, a familiar tune that he once sang as a sweet lullaby.
The clouds begin to fade into a kaleidoscope of color as the sun disappears in the distance.
His mind is foggy.
He doesn’t remember why he is near a river.
He doesn’t remember a single memory of the day.
He doesn’t understand why Fundy is lying so peacefully on the ground.
He doesn’t understand why there’s the remains of a rotting salad in the grass.
He continues to sing.
He doesn’t want to remember.
He doesn’t want to understand.
“D-dad?”
He turns around.
A ghostly visage of his son looks up at him, curious and oh so innocent.
A satisfied grin worms its way through his lips. He doesn’t know why he’s so happy.
“Hello, son.”

What about for the ‘James son one’. Some months pass by and everything goes good etc & y/n gets pregnant as they have been trying for a baby (as they want a love child of their own) and when they announce it to Jake, he kind of throws a tantrum as he doesn’t want another baby in the house as he doesn’t want be replaced and stuff. Maybe it ending in an argument between him and James at first & Jake comes stand by your bed in the middle of the night crying while apologizing. I trust u on this 💙
Part 1 - Part 2 - Part 3
Jake turned four last month, the little party with his schoolmates was exhausting but the happiness on the child’s face during the day you’ll never forget.
That night, when you put him to bed, you stayed to watch him sleep a few more minutes than usual. He was growing up so fast and every day he looked more and more like James.
“Imagine how cute it would be if he had someone close to his age to play with” you always wanted a sibling, someone to share your times with, someone to blame for the jokes, fighting over stupid things but having those moments of sweetness that make you not want to kill him…
“Yeah” James’ hand on your back suddenly stops and makes you lift your head out of his chest to look at him, “Wait… you want a baby?”
“You don’t?” you ask with a slight smile, “I mean, Jake’s four now, the house is quiet enough when he’s not around. And I’d love to have a baby of our own, James”
“Look, I know you didn’t have a good experience with Jake. Although you raised him wonderfully, I know it was hard to do it alone, and I don’t want to force you. Just know that when you’re ready, I’m ready”
“God (Y/N) I love you so much” he draws you to him to leave a kiss on your lips, his voice broken by emotion.
“So that’s a yes?” he giggles on your lips before nodding. “Yes, let’s make another baby”
You kiss each other for what’s a whole minutes before James breaks off and puts a thumb on your lips, “I wanted to talk to you about something too. A couple of things actually”
Curiosity takes over as he rolls over on his side to pick up something in the drawer of his bedside table and you rest your back against the headboard of the bed. A folder is placed on your legs and you look at James before you take it in your hands and read something.
It’s a paper to fill out, the bold writing at the top immediately catches your attention and your eyes fill up with tears. “You want…”
He nods, “And so does Jake. We talked about it and I tried to explain more or less what it all meant to him and he really wants you to officially be his mom”
“I- wow, I-I don’t know what to say. Give me a pen” you giggle as you wipe those tears that are wetting your cheeks and take a deep breath. Your hand shakes as your eyes look where you need to sign, but you think of something once you take the cap off the pen.
“Wait, shouldn’t we be married for me to adopt Jake?”
“That’s the other thing I wanted to talk to you about” your eyes follow his movements as he takes a little box out of the same drawer as before.
“Oh my god James” your hand goes to cover your mouth in disbelief, your heart beats so fast, too much excitement for one day.
“I’ve had this ring for weeks, trying to find the best time. But then I thought all the moments I spend with you could be, because with you everything is special”
“And I’m not asking for Jake, I mean he’s one of the reasons, but I’ve been dreaming of seeing you in a white dress practically since Jake called you mom at the stadium that day. You’re a special person and I’d really like to call you my missus as soon as possible”
“You’ve already convinced me without opening your mouth” you put your hand under your eyes to give you a demeanour, “but damn James Maddison, I love you so much”
“So that’s a yes?” he copies your words from earlier while you giggle and nod, “Yes, I want to marry you James Maddison”
With trembling hands he puts the ring on you and then you kiss, your tears mix with his and you can’t stop giggling every here and there. "Can you be quiet?“ he murmurs on your lips before putting his hands under your shirt, too happy and too much adrenaline flowing through your bodies not to end the evening the way it ends.
So here you are three months later, in the middle of wedding preparations and a hyperactive kid who wants to have his say on it - you won’t turn your wedding into another birthday party anyway. The morning after that eventful evening, he had somehow spotted the ring on your finger and ran to hug you, almost risking throwing you down for the surprise, screaming that you were going to be his mom. And you cried again, the wave of emotion still too fresh to think about it and not do it.
You haven’t even put your feet on the ground yet, but you already know it’s going to be a bad day.Your stomach rebels as soon as you move and you only have time to get to the toilet before throwing up. The sudden movement wakes up James who is immediately by your side caressing your back while you are rejecting practically only bile because you haven’t had time to eat anything.
"There’s this virus going around, half of Jake’s class got it” James makes you go back to bed after you’ve brushed your teeth and tucks you in before getting Jake ready for kindergarten and get home as fast as he can in case you need him.
You eat little or nothing during the day, and when Jake comes home, he snuggles up to keep you company. You fall asleep stroking his hair and it goes on for days, morning sickness and tiredness even though all you do is sleep.
James starts to worry, at this point it is obvious that it is not a trivial flu and decides to take you to a doctor, who gives you the good news. You’re around six weeks pregnant.
You can’t believe it, you had put the baby idea aside at least until after the wedding and yet here you are in that doctor’s office, the ultrasound machine in front of you with what is your child on the screen.
You are over the moon and keeping it hidden is hard, you try to apply some method against nausea that you read online and sometimes you succeed. Sometimes you find yourself having to explain to the concerned child that it’s just the flu. You want to wait until you get out of the first trimester before you tell anyone, before telling Jake.
“Should we postpone the wedding?” you ask James one night when Jake’s been asleep for hours and you’re on the couch watching a movie. Your little belly covered by James’ hand while you’re leaning on him.
“What do you mean?”
“Waiting for the baby to be born?” he leaves a kiss on your head, waving his thumb on your belly.
“It’s two months away, how long will you be… six months by then?” you nod slightly, “It’s your call to make, you’re carrying this little creature inside you and only you know what’s best for both of you”
“No James, I don’t have to marry myself. So, what do you want?” you look up at him, a smile is opening up on his face.
“I was already imagining you and me and Jake and this little guy sharing our day together. As a family”
You stretch out to give him a tender kiss on the lips, “I guess I’ll have to make some changes to my dress then”
Telling Jake is perhaps the hardest thing of all, you’re nervous and you didn’t think giving out such good news would make you vomit at any moment. The time had come, your belly was starting to notice and soon you couldn’t hide it from anyone.
James just got back from picking Jake up from practice and you’re sitting on the couch waiting for them. You exchange a look with James and after greeting the kid, you both make him sit in front of you.
“So Jakey, your daddy and I have something to tell you”
“Okay” the baby looks at you smiling and you two look at each other for a moment before James nods slightly.
“In a few months you’ll have a little brother” silence falls in the room, the smile on the baby’s face slowly disappears and his lower lip starts to shake visibly.
“Jakey, hey what’s going on?” you ask worriedly as you get up from the couch and go crouch down in front of him but he quickly breaks away from your grip making you lose your balance and you’re down before you can realize it.
“(Y/N)! Oh my God, are you okay?” James is right next to you while your eyes are still on the little boy, his little red face and tears in his eyes have their effect on you as you find yourself crying.
“Jake, go to your room” James orders him as he tries to calm you down but the baby slams one foot on the floor, “No!” he screams in tears.
“Now!” he yells at James and you’re so surprised just as much as Jake and James himself, the baby bursts out crying even louder running into his room and slamming the door.
When you go to check on Jake a few hours later, he’s asleep. On his cheeks you can still see the path of his tears and your heart tightens because at four years old you don’t have to fall asleep after crying and above all you don’t want to be the cause of so many tears.
You close the door and sigh, meeting James’s eyes, who has been absent since he raised his voice against his son. You go to hug him and he sighs, “I thought he’d be happy”
“Me too love, me too”
“I didn’t want to yell at him, but when I saw you on the ground I-”
“James” you shush him by catching his face in your hands, “Unfortunately it happens, it’s part of being a parent. He won’t love you any less because you raised your voice a little bit, all right? It will be fine” he looks down sighing and you go down to the kitchen and make dinner.
James is ready to take him by force when the kid refuses to come down to eat, but you’d rather not do any more damage that night and take him away from going to his room to drag him there. Going to bed without dinner never hurt anyone.
You go to bed with a heavy chest that night, neither of you fall asleep until late giving in to sleep only when you can no longer keep your eyes open.
A sob suddenly catches your attention, and it takes you a while to focus on the image of Jake rubbing his eye with one hand in front of you. You jerk taking him in your arms right away and rocking him, he wraps his arms around your neck tightly and letting the tears soak your neck.
A light comes on from James’ side while “Did I hurt you?” asks the child still in the same position. And you look at James for a second before you shake your head, “No honey, I’m fine”
“But I want to know why you’re not happy”
“You’ll love him more, he’s yours!” cries the baby in sobs and a tear slips from your eyes before James takes Jake in his arms.
“Hey JM listen to me, you will always be our first child. Nothing and no one can ever replace you, is that clear? No one will treat you any differently and no one will love you any less, you’ll be the greatest big brother ever. Yeah? Will you help me and mommy with your little brother?” he nods sniffing while James leaves a kiss on his forehead.
“You’re my boy too Jackey. Don’t ever forget that”

Come Hell or High Water Part 10: It’s Official
Summary: Blackwick, Montana was going to be a fresh start for you and your five year old daughter. You moved in across the street from Officer Dean Winchester, and quickly found that you were able to help him. Will Dean be able to help you when your past comes back to haunt you?
Pairing: Dean x Reader
Warnings: Body image issues
A/N: Last Part
One year later
You felt Dean pull you back into his chest, his legs tangling with yours as he placed a kiss to the back of your neck. "We better get up, or at least put some clothes on." you said.
Dean tightened his grip on you, "No." he mumbled.
"Aj is gonna be up soon." you said.
"It's Saturday." Dean sleepily replied.
"When has that ever stopped her?" you asked as you pried his arms from around you and sat up.
Dean groaned at the loss of your presence.
You stood up, and stretched your arms over your head, Dean groaning even louder at the sight of your naked body. "If you don't put some clothes I'm not going to be responsible for what happens." he said.
You grabbed Dean's shirt from the floor and pulled it on, running your hand over your latest scar before pulling it down. The scar from the bullet wound and surgery had healed nicely, two new additions to the battlefield that was your body.
Dean knew what you were doing even though you weren't facing him. "You're beautiful." he said. You looked at him over your shoulder and gave him a soft smile. Dean constantly reassured you that you were beautiful, and that you didn't have to hide from him. He didn't see your scars as a sign of weakness, or look at you like you were a victim. He told you that each one was proof that you had survived, proof that you were strong enough to face your demons, proof that in the end you had overcome everything and won the battle. Some days you still felt weak, embarrassed, and ashamed, but you found that most days, with Dean's help, you felt strong, like a battle hardened warrior, and you loved knowing that you didn't have to live in fear anymore.
"Dad!" Aj yelled from the hallway.
You looked at Dean, "Told ya." you said as you pulled on a pair of sweats.
She poked her head into the bedroom, Dean pulling the sheet up around him. "You promised you would make chocolate chip pancakes." she said. Rocky pushed the door open the rest of the way and barked, "And I think Rocky needs to go outside." she said.
"I'll take Rocky. You do the pancakes." you said as you started towards the bedroom door.
"Give me a minute, and I'll do both. We got some top secret business to discuss." said Dean referring to himself and Aj.
"Y 'all ever going to clue me in to what these secret meetings are about?" you asked.
Dean shrugged his shoulders and Aj laughed, "Guess you'll just have to wait and find out." he said.
You rolled your eyes at both of them, "Well, I'm going to go take a shower. Should give you two plenty of time to plot." you said as you walked out of the room.
Dean got dressed, and was standing in the front yard watching Aj play with Rocky. He had completely moved in with the two of you eight months ago, Sam and now Eileen, taking up residence in his old house. Dean sipped his coffee, and waved at Sam when he walked out of his front door. Sam came over to join him. "Hey, Uncle Sammy! Watch this!" Aj yelled as she tossed Rocky's ball, his only having three legs not hindering him at all as he chased after it.
"That's awesome, short stack." Sam said.
Sam handed over some papers to Dean. "All ready?" he asked.
"Just need her signature." said Sam.
Dean nodded, and slipped the papers into his back pocket, "Thanks." he said.
"She still have no idea?" asked Sam.
"I think she is starting to get suspicious of something, but I don't think she has figured it out." said Dean.
"You doing it today?" Sam asked.
Dean nodded, "I'm gonna run it by Aj first. You know make sure she is ok with it." he said.
"I thought she knew." said Sam.
"She does, but I want to completely sure she is ok with it before I do anything." he said.
“Dad! Dad, look!!" Aj shouted as she held Rocky's ball up and he stood on his hind legs.
"I don't think you have anything to worry about, but let me know how it goes." said Sam, before patting Dean on the shoulder and walking back home.
Dean had made the three of you breakfast, and you were clearing the plates when you overheard Dean talking to Aj. "Go up to your room. I'll be there in a second." he said.
You heard Aj get up and head for the stairs, "What are the two of you up to?" you asked.
Dean looked at you like a deer in the headlights.
"It's a secret, momma." Aj said before running upstairs.
You turned and focused on Dean, he squirmed under your gaze and cleared his throat, "Um, you heard her. It's a secret." he muttered out before quickly making his escape upstairs.
Dean walked into Aj's room, and closed the door behind him. "Can we do it now?" Aj excitedly asked.
Dean knelt down in front of her, "As long as it's ok with you." he said.
She wrapped her arms around his neck, "You're already my dad. Now it's just gonna be sofficial." she said.
Dean smiled at her mispronunciation. "Yeah, it'll be official." he said.
"That's what I said." she replied.
"I know, princess." said Dean as he stood up.
"You ready?" she asked as she looked up at him. Dean had never been more ready for anything in his life.
He held out his hand to her, "Let's go make it official." he said.
You were sitting on the couch, Rocky's head in your lap, as you mindlessly flipped through channels. You heard Dean and Aj coming downstairs and you turned to them, "Finished with your top secret business?" you asked with a smirk.
"We're ready to tell you." said Aj.
"Do I get another bracelet when I join this club?" you asked referring to the purple bracelets that the three of you still wore.
"I think we are gonna upgrade." said Dean as the two of them stood in front of you.
You narrowed your eyes at him, "Upgrade?" you asked.
Dean nodded, "Y/N, I know we didn't meet under the best of circumstances, but you put up with me and healed things in me that I didn't even know was broken. I know that we hit some rough patches and were unsure of a lot of things along the way, but the one thing that I will never be unsure of, is how much I love you and this little girl. The two of you walked into my life, and here came the sun. I knew that as long as I had the two of you that everything would be all right." he said as he pulled the papers from his back pocket and handed them over. You glanced over it, tears quickly springing to your eyes.
"I already said yes, momma. Now we just need you to." said Aj.
You looked up at Dean and watched as he dropped to one knee, "I promise to always love you both, protect you both, and cherish you both. Sweetheart, would you do me the honor of becoming an official Winchester?" he asked as he held out a ring to you.
You wiped away the tears on your face, "Nothing would make me happier." you said before pressing your lips to his.
"So, you'll sign them?" Aj asked gesturing to the adoption papers in your lap.
You pulled back from Dean, "Of course I will." you said, Aj and Dean both beaming at you.
Sam and Eileen wanted to take the three of you out for dinner to celebrate. The five of you sat in the local diner, the one you passed on your first day in town, and you recounted the entire morning to Eileen.
Dean and Aj bragged about how they were able to keep everything under wraps and keep you from finding out. "Y/N, I just want to tell you that I am so happy for you guys. I don't think I've ever seen Dean this happy." Sam said.
You smiled and squeezed Dean's hand under the table, "I could say the same thing about the two of us." you said, Aj quickly agreeing with you.
The five of you were just finishing your meal and waiting on the check when Aj spoke up, "Uncle Sammy?" she asked.
"What is it, short stack?" he asked.
"Me and momma are gonna be sofficial Winchesters. When are you going to make Eileen sofficial?" she asked.
Sam's eyes widened at the unexpected question, and Dean burst out in a full body laugh. "Ava!" you scolded.
"What? I was just asking." she said.
"Yeah Sammy, when are you gonna make it official?" Dean asked with a grin. You elbowed him, and he looked over to you, "What? It was just a question." he said, echoing Aj's words.
Eileen smiled at the two of them, "I think we have a little way to go before I become official, but maybe someday." she said.
Sam looked over at her and smiled, "Definitely, someday." he said. Sam insisted on paying for dinner, and you thanked him before the three of you loaded up into the car and headed home.
You stood at the doorway of Aj's room and watched as Dean tucked her into bed, Rocky in his usual spot at her feet. "Night, princess." he said.
"Night, daddy." Aj replied.
He leaned down and pressed a kiss to her forehead. "Love you." he said.
She placed each of her little hands on the side of his face, "I love you, too." she said.
Dean smiled down at her, placed another kiss on her forehead, and tucked her in. Dean stood up and turned to leave her room, smiling when he noticed you standing there. "Night, honey." you called out.
"Night, momma." Aj mumbled out, exhaustion weighing down her voice.
You turned off the light and climbed in bed next to Dean. He pulled you into him, your head automatically going to his chest. "I just want to tell you how happy you've made me. I love you so much, sweetheart." he said.
You raised your head and pressed your lips to his, "We love you so much Dean. You make us happy too." you said before settling back down onto his chest.
You laid there, your hand over Dean's heart, the slow steady beats putting you at ease. You glanced up at him, so peaceful in his sleep, and thought about your first day in town.
You always hated being forced to run, but deep down you were so thankful that you were forced to run to the middle of nowhere, Blackwick, Montana. You had never thought you would find anyone, resigning yourself to the fact that it would always just be you and Aj, and that the two of you would probably never have a permanent home.
As you looked up at man sleeping next to you, you knew that you had found your partner in life. You had found everything you had ever wanted in a father for Aj. You knew that the two of you had found your place in life. You had found your home, but you told yourself it didn't matter if you stayed in Blackwick, or went anywhere else in the world, as long as Dean was with the two of you, you would be home.
AN: Thank you so much for taking the time to read this. I appreciate it more than you know. Thank you again. Until next time.

Real Family: Part 9
Pairings: BTS x teen female reader, platonic love
Warnings: Language, neglect, a major panic attack involving past child abuse
A/N: Heavy panic attack at the end, Yoongis a douche
Summary: It’s not blood that makes a family. It’s love.
Masterlist
“Are you sure none of you cant come with me?” I asked wiping my sweaty palms on my black stockings, harshly gripping the sleeves of my black Gucci backpack that Taehyung had bought for me. The night before I had felt so prepared, but as soon as I woke up everything felt like it was going downhill.
~
The consistent beeping of the smoke detector immediately caused me to jolt up and rush out of my room and down the stairs as fast as possible. The oaky smell of burnt food lingers in the kitchen and I quickly catch on as I see streams of smoke escaping from a pan that was currently placed in the sink. Jungkook stands anxiously in the kitchen, standing on a chair and trying to deactivate the smoke alarm with a broom. I try to call out his name but instead, I'm met with a coughing fit from the puff of smoke wafting towards me. Yoongi is the first to run into the room, “what the fuck Jungkook!” At his exclamation, Jungkook jumps down from the chair successfully turning off the alarm.
“I was just trying to make (Y/N) breakfast since it was her first day of school,” Jungkook mutters while I stare wide-eyed at the fact Jungkook wanted to do something so nice for me. And the fact that there seemed to be more steam coming out of Yoongi's ears than from the burnt pan.
“Are you fucking kidding me? I've barely gotten two hours of sleep and I still need to finish recording my song and learning the dance moves that you,” he glared at Jungkook, poking him in the chest, “can't teach me because you're so busy trying to help her.” I wanted to defend Jungkook, even myself and stand up to Yoongi, ask why he hated me so much. But a third, annoyed voice appeared growling at Yoongi.
“Go back to bed Min.” Yoongi turned around as if he was ready to argue but once he saw the annoyed look on Namjoon’s face he stormed out of the room. Bumping shoulders with the man as he did so. All I could do was watch, and awkwardly shift towards the glass panes.
“Ill open some windows.”
After getting out most of the smoke and listening to Jin complain about his precious kitchen and how Jungkook shouldn't even step foot near a metal pan for the next week I decided to get changed. Namjoon had given me a box the other day filled with school uniforms for Lee’s Science and Performing Arts Academy. Interesting combination. The main colors of the school were black and green so all of the outfits corresponded to the colors. One outfit was a black and green skirt, black tights, black sweater, the second outfit was exactly the same but instead of a black sweater, it was dark green and came with knee-high black socks. The last one was black jeans with a white button up and a dark green vest and suit jacket. I choose the first option, and it wasn't until after I was dressed when I realized how time-consuming it was to properly put black tights on. Checking myself over in the mirror I went back and forth from deciding if I should tuck my sweater into my skirt or leave it untucked. Eventually deciding to tuck the front half. As soon as I had grabbed my bag Namjoon was yelling from the bottom of the stairs about how they needed to leave and then we were all rushing out the door. Squeezing into the SUV wasn't that hard when Namjoon was driving, yet the earlier events in the kitchen made the ride tense.
“Do I really have to go in by myself, don't I need an adult to talk to the principal or something?” I asked once again, spotting the huge school with the green and white sign that stated in bold letters, ‘School of Lee's Science and Performing Arts.’ Namjoon glanced at Jin who was sitting in the passenger seat,
“I'm actually not needed until 10 since there recording rap line and doing a practice for only dance line.” I straightened in my seat, a relieved smile gracing my features. “Really?” Jin answered my question by hopping out of the car and I quickly followed in his footsteps, a strange feeling washing over me when I heard Jimin mumble,
“they're both growing up so fast, feels like we just met her a few weeks ago.”
The closer I got to the school the more I noticed how fancy it was. The front of the building was covered by a huge courtyard, currently covered with a thin sheet of snow. The sides seemed to have tennis, basketball courts and larger fields in the back. I looked back up at Jin and suddenly felt horrible for begging him to walk into the school with me. Jin opened the door for me, “thanks Jin, not just for the door though. I'm sorry if you didn't want to come with, it was stupid, I'm just being such a chi-” Jin placed a hand on my shoulder giving me a reassuring smile,
“hey it's fine. I'm actually glad I came with you, also I may have killed Jungkook or Yoongi if I had to spend another moment with them, my poor kitchen.” I laughed at his joke and watched as he started to lead me through the maze of the school, following the signs that led to the principal's office. I looked around at the empty halls, assuming that most kids were in class since the hallways were dead silent and school had started about an hour ago.
Before I knew it we were standing in front of the principal's office, Jin giving a few light taps to the door followed by a faint “come in.”
The office was clean, green walls and white trimmings giving the room a strange glow. In the center of the room was a wooden desk, a plaque stating, ‘principal Lee.’ The man sitting behind the desk in the wheeling chair gave us each a friendly smile, he looked to be in his fifties, black hair greying at the ends, wrinkles forming around his eyes and mouth. He stood up from his chair offering both of us a handshake, “you must be (Y/N), and you're..”
“Kim Seokjin.” He sat back down and motioned for us to sit in the two unoccupied chairs. He took out a vanilla folder, opening it and flipping through the files before taking out a single piece of paper.
“It says here, Kim Namjoon and Kim Seokjin are your primary care members.” He looked back up to Jin, “Everything seems to be in order.” He grabbed another paper from the folder and reached out to hand it to me,
“Here's your schedule, let's take you to your first class.”
The hallways seemed busier than my last school, the students seemed less friendly (maybe that was just the uniforms) and everyone seemed to be staring at me wherever I went. After Mr. Lee had dropped me off at my third-period history class I quickly noticed the girls staring me down from the other side of the room. Rather than listening about Lincoln's inauguration all I could focus on was the whispers behind my back.
Lunch came sooner than expected and I was happily shocked to find that instead of gross mystery meat and yellow gush that most schools served, there was an array of foods that actually looked good. Also what school served lobster? Apparently rich private schools did. But the worst part of it all was finding a place to sit. The lunchroom was littered with numerous green tables. Some fitting groups of kids throwing footballs, doing homework, and fooling around on electronics. A tap on my shoulder caused me to turn around, a girl my age stood behind me, curly blond hair and dark green eyes adjoined her oval face. Her tan skin seemed to glow in the lights and the intense coats of mascara on her eyes looked painful.
“Hi, my names Amber, would you like to sit with us?” She pointed towards the table behind her, filled with girls and boys all fooling around with one another. I hesitated, looking at the girls pointed smile,
“um sure.” She grabbed my wrist, rather roughly if I might add, dragging me to the table of teens. She pushed over a girl, mumbling a ‘move over’ under her breath as she squeezed me in. “I never got your name?” The girl who had been texting on her phone looked up from the bright screen to stare at me wonder in her eyes.
“My names (Y/N).” Amber’s eyes darkened for a moment as she spoke,
“That's a cool name. These are my friends, Olivia and Rachel.” She pointed to the girl who looked up at me wide-eyed and the other girl sitting next to Amber. Both seemed equally interested in me and before I could ask Olivia quickly spoke up.
“So is it true that you live with BTS?” She laid her cheek on the table, starry-eyed looking into the distance. Before I could answer Rachel started practically screeching.
“Is Suga Hyung that attractive in person?” The way she said his name left a bitter taste in my mouth and I almost wanted to tell her not to call him that. “Oh, he must be so nice! Do you call him dad? You're so lucky to live with seven attractive boys.” Sure, Lucky. Lucky to be adopted by seven strangers, lucky to have Yoongi hate me, and apparently lucky enough that most people in this school only want to talk to me because of my new “family.”
“Actually-”
“Look guys its the school pig!” Rachel and Olivia started to laugh at Ambers joke, faces turned towards a girl sitting by herself at a lunch table. She clearly had heard the joke because she immediately put her food down, eyes glazing over.
“How many donuts do you think she can fit in her mouth? 10, 20?” I glared at Rachel. “Ok, you have no right to say anything negative about someone's body type.” I turned to Amber then locked eyes with the girl, standing up and leaving the lunch room.
The rest of the day went by pretty quickly. The day consisting of me being awed by the entails of fancy school and shocked by how boring classes were. I had also realized that the school was filled with rich kids whose parents were either a co-leader for Pepsi or distantly related to Gordon Ramsey. By the time the bell had rung I had practically run out of the building searching for the familiar SUV. When I had finally found it, I expected to be met with one of the boys but instead opened the door to meet a complete stranger.
“Oh, sorry wrong car.” Just before I could shut the door the driver pulled down his black face mask.
“Actually I'm your new chauffeur.”
This ‘new chauffeur’ drove me straight home. The car ride awkwardly quiet as I stared out the window, around the car, and basically everywhere except for him.
“Thank you,” as soon as he pulled into the driveway I was jumping out of the car, itching to get out of the tight school uniform. Entering the large house it was eerily quiet,
“Hello?” When no one answered I realized what Namjoon had said the other day about their long week of practice due to there comeback. Taking off my shoes, I brought my bag to the living room plopping down on the couch and starting on my homework.
~
A gentle shove on my shoulder causes me to groan, rolling onto my side, facing away from my perpetrator. Whoever it is, tells me something along the baseline of ‘get up.' But my foggy brain doesn't register anything but the nice warm blanket I'm wrapped in. The person continues there an assault, flipping my body back, so I'm facing their direction. I groan in annoyance, pulling the blanket up and over my face,
“Kayleigh you really need to wake up.” The blankets pulled off my body, and I immediately shrivel into a ball trying to contain as much heat as possible. “I have to get going, Kayleigh. Your driver will be here soon so get ready.” At his words, I'm sitting up from the bed,
“wait, so you aren't driving me to school anymore?” I rub at my blurry eyes, blinking rapidly to try and gain back my vision. Once I can suitably see, I find an anxious Hoseok who looks back and forth from me and the door. He opens and closes his mouth, debating what to say until a loud honk interrupts the silence.
“I should go.”
Fourth-period precalculus was a disaster. I had absolutely no idea what I was doing, and every time I tried to raise my hand and ask a question the teacher would skip over me, and move on. What made it even worse, was how easy the class was. I was placed in precalc to catch up with my peers. If anything, I felt like I was falling back, in comparison to the rest of the class. Not to mention that most of the other kids in my grade were in calculus, so if anything I was already behind.
So you can imagine how happy I was when the shrill ring of the fire alarm interrupted my pre-calc class. Grabbing my coat, I raced after the students, slightly giddy until I stepped outside and felt the cold chill of the January air.
“Why do we have fire drills in January?” I muttered, rubbing my arms through the sleeves of the jacket, not expecting an answer.
“The school board keeps getting complaints about safety and how the school doesn't prepare their students for harmful situations.” I shifted my head towards a girl, the same girl who was sitting in the cafeteria and being made fun of. “My mom works with the school board.” She added, shivering slightly. I then took notice of her appearance. She had short chocolate brown hair that fell straight in a bob, piercing blue eyes and darker washed skin. She filled out her uniform, slightly curvy but perfect proportionate for her height around 5’6. I didn't understand why Amber was making fun of her, I thought she was beautiful. What I noticed the most was her shirt-sleeved white button up that tagged along with her uniform. She must be freezing. As if she could read my thoughts, her body started to shake, fingers clenching to get blood flow back into them.
“Here, you must be freezing.” I took off my coat, holding it out to the girl who rapidly shook her head.
“Oh no, it's ok. I mean it looks like a nice jacket, and I probably won't fit I'm a little, bigger-.” I interrupted her before she could say more,
“Please, just take it.” I smiled at the girl who gave me an unsure look. With some more convincing she finally took the material. “I'm (Y/N) by the way.” She smiled,
“I know. We have almost all of our classes together.”
Oh Shit
She immediately started laughing at my reaction while I looked appalled, great first impression.
“I'm Zara. Thanks for standing up for me by the way.” The students started making their way back into the building, and the two of us followed the crowd but made sure to stick close together.
“If it's any consolation, I think you're beautiful.”
After talking to Zara, we both had realized that we had every class together except for math. She, of course, was in honors abstract algebra, instead of asking her what that meant I just smiled and nodded. Talking to Zara was like breathing fresh air, her personality was so calming and youth filled, it reminded me that it was ok to be a kid. That I didn't always have to be the girl who thought she was alone.
She was also hilariously funny,
“I have a BTS water noodle.” I stumbled in my jog, almost tripping over my own two feet. The gymnasium walls smelt of sweat and privilege, and usually, I'd be annoyed because it's gym class. But since I started running with Zara, I hadn't stopped smiling. “My younger sister loves BTS. So for my birthday, she got me a BTS water noodle. I never use it, but my younger sister takes it with her whenever the word water is mentioned.” The whistle sharply blew, cutting through the air and stopping all of the teens from running and talking. Turning our head toward the gym teacher, he motioned towards a bag of soccer balls.
“Get in groups of two and work on passing.” Mr. Ping was young, yet still looked older than Jin. He was tall, lean and muscular. He seemed to be in his early thirties, a silver band wrapped around his ring finger that he unashamedly flashed at some girls (and boys) when they would look at him for too long. When I first met him, he had immediately shown me a portrait in his office of a baby boy in a sports onesie. Definitely a family man.
After Zara grabbed a ball, we headed towards one corner of the room, kicking the ball back and forth to one another.
“Do you think our gym teachers hot?” I choked on my own salvia, the ball racing past me, as I had no intention to stop it. For a moment I thought she was joking. Until I saw the serious look on her face.
“Isn't he in his thirties?” My voice of reason did nothing to stop her train of thought.
“So? That's only a thirteen-year difference.”
“He's engaged-”
“But not married, something could change.”
“Zara he has a kid.” The girl paled then nodded in my direction as if she was praising me for winning the silly query.
“Touché”
Unlike any other school day I had ever experienced, authentic happiness was coursing through my veins, and not just because it was a Friday. After school had ended I quickly got Zara's number in my phone and the thought of having this year be different; new home, friends, school, maybe things would be different.
Opening the door to the mansion, I found Yoongi and Jimin death glaring at one another, seething words at each other that I couldn't hear. Namjoon was in the background, frantically cleaning while Jin was yelling words I couldn't understand at the two.
“Is everything ok?” I asked while slipping my shoes off. The boys didn't seem to notice me until now, all four sets of eyes turning to me.
“Everything's fine.”
“Everything's fucking horrible.”
Jimin and Yoongi both spoke up at the same time while Jin harshly glared between the two before softening his gaze on me.
“Kayleigh why don't you go find the rest of the boys.” I nodded but before I could move Taehyung and Jungkook were peaking there heads out from upstairs.
“The upstairs is all clean.” Hoseok then appeared from the living room area, “the rooms are good.”
“(Y/N), why don't you go get changed for the social worker.” Oh, that's why everyone seemed so nervous. I passed Yoongi, heading to the stairs but his quiet whispers became exceptionally clear all of a sudden.
“Huh, you must love this. This attention from seven world-famous guys. Why do you think people want to be your friend at school? Its because they want to meet us.” I knew Yoongi didn't like me, that was obvious. But I wouldn't let him imply that Zara was only my friend because of them. Clenching my fist, I turned a full 180, coming face to face with Yoongi. I tried not to overthink how I basically had to look up at him or the fact that his death glare made me want to crawl into a hole and bury myself alive.
“What the fuck is your problem?” My voice was calm and steady, but the anger in me was on the edge of boiling over. “You've hated me ever since you saw me at the orphanage, I didn't ask for you to adopt me, I was perfectly fine where I was.”
The words coming out of my mouth were bitter. Lies that I spewed to get a reaction because I knew everything was so much better here than living in foster care.
"What have I ever done to you? Ever since I've gotten here, all you've done is act like I'm a leech on your shoulder. What, are you too intimidated by the fact you actually have to grow up?”
Fuck, my eyes widened immediately at his hardened gaze, I went too far. Before I could apologize or back down the venom in his voice pushed me further. “This,” he made eye contact with Namjoon, motioning his hands towards me, “is why I didn't want her.”
“Yoongi!” I couldn't tell who's voice was shouting because my head was spinning and my vision was blurring. This always happened, someone, deciding that I wasn't good enough, that I didn't fit the right standards. I couldn't handle it, not again.
“You should have left me at the orphanage.” I seethed, his answer was automatic, I think that's what hurt the most.
“I wish I had.” A few shouts from the boys sounded through the room, but what made me turn my head was the feminine voice that cleared her throat. Katie stood in the doorway, clipboard in hand and a disappointed look on her face, this wasn't how I wanted to see her again. I suddenly felt the need to apologize for my actions, tell her that Yoongi and I were faking it and we secretly cared about each other. But the words that parted from her mouth in an exasperated sigh was what broke me.
“Not again (Y/N).”
I was rushing up the stairs as soon as the last syllable left her mouth, hand over my parted lips to stop the sob attempting to escape. I narrowly missed Jungkook's grabbing hands at the top of the stairs trying to stop me, but I snuck through and rushed into my room. Locking the door and falling to my knees, I finally let the tears fall, why did I have to screw it up again?
I angrily threw my belongings into my bag, teeth clenched both in anger and to stop the sobs tempting to reach the surface. After I had shut my door, muffled yelling had erupted from the downstairs, I hated how I was the reason for them fighting. The static in my head only grows once the fear of going back to my old life enters my mind, and once I significantly calm my breathing down a knock sounds from my door. I hold my breath, waiting for the voice to identify itself,
“(Y/N), can you let me in. It's just me, I promise.”
I tempted keeping the door shut, telling him that I couldn't do this. I walk up to the door, leaning my forehead up against the cool wood. Gently wiping the tears from my face, my hand hovers over the knob, in a split moment decision I decide to unlock it. I open the door, turning my back to him and sitting on the bed, I run my fingers on the blankets, wondering if I would spend another night in the building.
“Do you want to stay?” I look up a Jin, probably red-faced and teary-eyed from crying.
“Do you want me too?”
Instead of answering Jin gave me a gentle smile, sitting on the bed next to me, but sitting far enough away to keep his space.
“Did you know,” he started cracking a grin, “that whenever I'm sad I read my blood donor ID?” I raised an eyebrow at the man,
“Why?” I sniffed,
“Because it always says, ‘B positive.’” Jins face morphed into a full out grin, and an obnoxious windshield wiper laugh filled my ears. The joke wasn't necessarily funny, but his genuine laugh is what made me smile.
“Ah, there's that smile.” He scooted closer on the bed as a silence developed between the two of us. “Yoongi's difficult, it took most of us half a year till we really connected. When Yoongi found out he had to live with you, it scared him. He can barely even take care of himself so how's he supposed to take care of a child? He doesn't want commitment.” I couldn't help but hear the hidden meaning in his words.
They don't want commitment.
“Why am I even here? There's a reason why you didn't answer the question, its because you don't want to lie to me.” I stood up from the bed, tears forming in my eyes. I couldn't do this, I couldn't handle it, why was everyone lying to me? I rushed out of the room just as Jin reached out to me.
The thoughts are accelerating inside my head. I want them to slow so I can breathe but they won't. My breaths come in gasps and I feel like I'll black out. My heart is hammering inside my chest like it belongs to a rabbit running for its skin. The room spins and I kneel on the floor, trying to make everything slow to something my brain and body can cope with. I feel so sick. I stand up, rushing towards the exit, feet traveling forward until one hits a side table, causing it to tilt and wiggle. A tall, glass candle sways side to side on the table, before falling to the floor, shattering into millions of tiny pieces.
It starts slowly, the feeling of dread crawling up in my chest, spreading like a drop of ink onto a wet piece of paper. Darkening my thoughts and making it harder for me to see, breath. It doesn't take long for my breath to quicken, eyes wide and chest rising in an uneven pattern as I try to suck in as much air as possible. As if the moment I stop trying there won't be any air left. The shattered glass on the floor causes me to wince, past memories of breaking things by accident and being beaten because of it entering my mind. Tears are flowing down my eyes like a dam had just broken, the drops dripping down my face and onto my hands. My sight becomes blurry and flashes of the belt, my father, shouting and my own screams are all I can remember.
“I'm so sorry.” I choke out, chest tight, and standing in front of me are three shocked boys. Namjoon takes a step forward, fist clenched and an unreadable expression on his face.
“Please don't hit me.”
The boy stops, and so do the others behind him, visibly tensing. “I'll clean it up, I'll pay for it.” I knew whatever I had knocked overlooked expensive, everything did in this house. I drop to my knees, scrambling to pick up the broken pieces of glass, “(Y/N) stop you’ll cut yourself.” Just as Hoseok said, blood starts flowing from my palms, he drops to my level suddenly and i'm scrambling back. Holding my bloody hands out as if they could protect me, back hitting the wall, “please don't hurt me again, it was an accident, i'm so sorry.” My breathings ragged, uneven and I'm hyperventilating. I close my eyes as if they could block out the events unfolding in front of me. Hands gently cup my face and im eye to eye with Jin, “We won't hurt you here, ok? Just breath.” I take a big gasp in, but can't stop the broken, strangled release of air. Hoseok's kneeling beside me just in time as the world around me gets blurry, Jins two eyes soon becoming four as everything turns sideways, and I finally collapse.

hey! can i req nat x fem r where they adopt a kitten and nat denies it but the kitten makes her super soft
Kitten
Pairing: Natasha Romanoff x female!Reader
Word Count: 1,384
Warnings: fluff
A/N: This is the first request I have received, and I hope it turned out the way that anon wanted! If not, feel free to request something else and I’ll write it however you’d like. It is a little late and I’m a tad bit tired, so please don’t mind any spelling or grammatical errors. I went through it quickly, but I might have missed one or two. I will reread it tomorrow just to make sure, but for now I hope you enjoy this! Thank you so much for requesting!
Y/N was walking down the street, minding the puddles that the rain was forming on the sidewalks. Up ahead she could see a box dissolving at its edges from the water, and it was shifting a bit. Her curious side ultimately got the best of her, and she quickened her pace, her umbrella pulling backward a bit with the wind. She noticed a paper sign taped to the side that read: Birman Kittens, Please Take.
She opened the box, only to find a single kitten inside. It was a tiny, white, fluffy little thing. Y/N stuck her hand in the box cautiously, wanting to gauge its reaction. It let out a soft purr as it rubbed its face up against the back of her hand, its fur damp from the rain. She gently began to lift the box, but the bottom fell through when it was only an inch or two off the ground. Instead, Y/N carefully scooped the little kitten up in her arms, tucked it into her coat, and began walking back to the apartment she shared with her girlfriend, Natasha.
Truthfully, Y/N didn’t know if Nat was a cat person, or even an animal person in general. The topic, strangely, had never come up in the two years they have been dating. Which is why she decided it would be best if she kept the kitten a secret until she figured it out.
I’ll just bring it up in casual conversation, she thought to herself as the adorable little thing purred against her shirt.
Unfortunately, her girlfriend was sitting in the living room when she returned home.
“Hey, babe! You’re home early,” Y/N said, trying not to sound nervous.
“Yeah, I finished up sooner than expected so they let me have the rest of the day,” she says, turning her head a bit to press a kiss to her lips.
Y/N smiles. “Good, it’s nice to see you home relaxing. You work too hard sometimes.”
“Well, it pays the bills,” she says nonchalantly.
“I’m gonna take a quick shower, then I’ll join you, okay?”
“Sounds good to me. I’ll get us a couple of wine glasses then,” she says, hopping up from her seat on the couch, but notices that Y/N is still wearing her coat.
“Baby, why don’t you let me take this off for you?” she asks with a grin, tugging on the collar. A soft mewl sounds throughout the room, and Natasha shoots Y/N a puzzled look.
Y/N attempts to cover it up with a cough, but Nat knows better. She carefully unbuttons the top two buttons of the coat, catching the kitten as it falls against her chest.
“You did not get a cat,” she says, handing it back to her girlfriend.
“I didn’t get a cat. I got a kitten.”
“Y/N,” her tone is a warning—it says, don’t test me.
“I didn’t plan any of this! It was just out there alone in that wet box, shivering like crazy. I couldn’t leave it out there, Nat. Just look at it,” she says as she strokes the spot between its ears. The kitten purrs, rubbing it’s face against her hand.
“Oh, you like that, huh?” Y/N begins using her baby voice, and when she looks up again, Nat is standing there, arms crossed over her chest and brow quirked.
“I’m not a cat person, Y/N,” she tells her. “It can stay here until we find it a new home, but we’re not keeping it.” Y/N visibly deflates, but nods in understanding.
She hands the kitten over to Nat as she shrugs her coat off and hangs it up. Natasha sets it down on the kitchen table where she can watch it while Y/N makes a bed up for it out of a shoe box and some blankets. She places the bed on the couch, and the kitten inside of it.
“I’ll do some research on what kittens eat when I finish with my shower,” Y/N says before leaving the room.
Natasha sits down beside the box, watching as the kitten plays with the blankets. She carefully sticks her hand in the box, and the kitten affectionately rubs its face against her hand. Her fingers nimbly run through its fur, and she grins to herself as it mewls in contentment.
Y/N returns a few minutes later, hair wet and face freshly washed. Natasha swiftly retracts her hand from the bed.
“We can make up some flyers about the cat, pass them around the building and around town,” Natasha says coolly, and Y/N agrees halfheartedly—she has already grown attached to the little fuzzball.
An hour later, after researching how and what to feed it, as well as whether or not they want to determine if it is a boy or girl, they decided that they would pick up formula and cat food for it early the next morning, and that they would carefully attempt to discern the kitten’s gender. After watching four how-to videos, the pair made their first—and thankfully successful—attempt, they discovered that the little kitten was a male.
Natasha was a little upset that they didn’t spend their night as she had planned to, but watching how happy her girlfriend was made up for it.
Over the course of the next week, Natasha had made up flyers and helped Y/N pass them out as planned. Unfortunately, no calls came through asking about the kitten, aside from that one man who was too sketchy, even for Natasha’s liking.
“Babe, you can’t keep calling him Milo. He’s going to be confused when someone adopts him and changes his name.”
“But, Nat, look at him! He even looks like a Milo!” Natasha could only laugh at how adorable Y/N was being, pulling her in by the waist for a sweet kiss.
“You know, you’re really cute when you talk about things that you’re passionate about,” she whispered against her lips as Y/N looped her arms around her neck, a giggle escaping her lips.
“What happens if no one wants him?” Y/N asked as she pulled away.
“Someone will want him.”
“But what if no one does? What if no one calls?”
“I don’t know. We’ll have to give him to one of those adoption centers or something.”
“You know we can’t do that. You promised we would find him a good home.”
“I can’t help it if no one wants him!” The volume of her voice startled the kitten, who jumped out of his little bed and crawled to Natasha’s feet. She stared down at him for a moment before scooping him up in her arms and placing him back in his bed.
The playful little thing he is, he followed her as she walked back toward Y/N. She repeated the process a few times before ultimately giving up, cradling him in her arms as she spoke with Y/N.
“You know, he really seems to like you,” she said with a nod toward the fluffy kitten in her arms.
“Yeah, he does.” The words slipped out without her brain processing them, but she decided not to amend her statement. A small smile came to her lips as she scratches=d behind his little ears.
“If no one calls to ask about him in the next week, can we keep him?” Y/N’s question was quiet, not wanting to upset her girlfriend.
“Yes, baby, we can. Only if no one calls though. Wouldn’t want a cat running around here if we didn’t need to.” Y/N knew she was just putting up a facade now, grinning broadly.
“Thank you so much,” she whispered as she took a step closer and pecked her cheek before petting little Milo.
When asked if they should hand out more flyers, Natasha said it wasn’t necessary. No one called in the next week, and Natasha went out and bought Milo some necessities, including a proper bed, which stayed in their shared bedroom so they could keep an eye on him.
A year later, Milo was not so little anymore, but still just as energetic, despite being a cat. When Y/N and Natasha would curl up on the couch to relax after work, he would wedge himself between their bodies, which never failed to make Nat laugh. He gravitated more towards her, ironically, and thankfully she fully embraced his affection.

⠀⠀⠀ ↳ “yeosang grew up in an orphanage, not knowing what a real family felt like his entire life. he’s now moved in with a college student named yunho, only to soon realize that his new roommate has an odd habit of sneaking out in the middle of the night and not returning till sunrise. one night, yeosang follows the other boy - just to find a floating vessel outside their bedroom window.”
xx. 1.8k words

All his life, Yeosang had lived inside a lonesome orphanage. To be honest, he didn’t truly blame his mother for placing him upon those cold, wet steps in front of the looming doors all those years ago. He grew up to understand the cruelties of the world, the loneliness of feeling lost when, in reality, that’s what most people were; lost.
Even if you did everything right, the world could come crumbling down around you.
That was the scariest aspect of life in most cases. Yeosang himself suspected that he just happened to be the turning point in his mother’s life, the pebble in the road that made her stumble and scrape her knees. Blood pouring from the temporary injury, wet tears streaming down her cheeks, the woman had no other choice but to give her baby away. The baby, now a young man, didn’t dare hold a grudge against the woman he only knew as his birth mother. According to the oldest boy in the orphanage, Seonghwa, who had light blonde hair as bright as the sun, Yeosang got lucky.
Other boys and girls were forced to grow up in horrific conditions instead of the quaint orphanage they had the privilege of residing in. They grew up with little to no signs of simple love, or care. Their eyes would close every night in the hopes of a miracle happening, of some hero rescuing them from their sorrows and tattered clothes. For Yeosang and Seonghwa, though, they were lucky enough to be decently educated in the comfort of the tiny classroom down the corridor, just next to the dining hall where everyone gathered to eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner. For holidays, the caretakers would try their best to decorate the bleak, beige halls with colorful spindles and homemade paintings.
When he was younger, Yeosang would eagerly scribble on printer paper with crayons and markers as his caretakers praised his artistic abilities – well, for a six-year-old. His own decorations, along with the other little ones, would be pinned to the halls and doors for everyone to see. Once he got older, though, other children his age began to leave. They were adopted and loved by real families. But Yeosang didn’t falter, as he still had an older boy named Seonghwa to help him pin the new kids’ decorations up for Christmas, Easter, and Thanksgiving.
If Yeosang could ever claim to have had an older brother, he would certainly point to Seonghwa first. The blonde with plump lips and a soft smile always had something intelligent to say. It was the older boy who taught Yeosang how to play baseball in the usually vacant backyard of the orphanage, it was he who showed the younger boy how to protect the younger ones from dangerous eyes when they did get the chance to go outside. It was always Seonghwa flicking the nightlight on just before bed, silencing the hisses of agitation from the other boys; as only he knew that Yeosang could not sleep in total darkness.
And then, on the night of Seonghwa’s eighteenth birthday, he vanished.
That night, Yeosang could’ve sworn he heard the window opening and closing at the foot of his bed. Assuming he was just dreaming, the brunette went straight back to sleep. When he woke up the following morning, Seonghwa was just… gone.
No one made a big deal about it, really. As he had finally become of age, Seonghwa would’ve been due to leave the orphanage a couple days after his birthday. The caretakers simply shrugged their shoulders, stating that it would be pointless to worry. If anything, they were supposed to silently cheer on the older brother figure of the building, hoping that he found a place to stay. Still, Yeosang felt a bit betrayed. Seonghwa was the closest thing to family he had, so why hadn’t he even received a simple goodbye? A hug? A promise that, one day, they would meet again?
“Yeosang, I think I burnt our pizza!”
The man visibly jumps from his spot on the chair, a slight squeak coming from the wheels due to the pressure. The frame he previously had clasped between his fingers nearly clatters to the floor, but he catches it just in time. Setting it back onto his desk, Yeosang lets out a disgruntled sigh.
“Yeooosaaang-“
“I heard you, Yunho,” he finally calls back, sleepily rubbing his eyes, “you did take it out of the oven, right?”
He was met with silence. “O-oh… I’ll go do that right now!” Yunho laughs nervously, sounding as if he had stumbled on his own feet in an attempt to run back to the kitchen.
Mid-groan, Yeosang lets out a quiet laugh of amusement. Yunho, his roommate, was a rather interesting man. He appeared tall and muscular, but he truly acted like a lost puppy in every sense of the word. When he was helping Yeosang move in, he had (somehow) convinced his new roommate to dye his hair with him. The plan was for both of them to go blonde because, well, why not – except Yunho had managed to grab a box of pink and teal hair dye instead.
Neither of them checked the boxes before they dyed their locks. So, now, Yeosang was stuck with what Yunho called “fairy pink” hair, while the other had teal colored strands. Usually, Yeosang probably would’ve been a bit upset, but seeing the college student’s pout and hearing his whines of apology; well, he felt a certain liking to his new hair.
Straightening out the picture frame on the desk, Yeosang gave it one last look. It was an old photo of himself and Seonghwa on Christmas morning, both of them smiling toothily and clutching onto plushies they had gotten from the caretakers. Thankfully, Yeosang had wept over the photo so often that, now, he no longer felt the need to break down and cry for his lost brother. Now, he felt the need to go into the kitchen and make sure Yunho didn’t accidently set something else on fire.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ---
“Are you sure the pancake wasn’t overcooked, or undercooked?” Yunho bugged Yeosang yet again, bottom lip jutted out in a persistent pout, “maybe I used too much butter – oh, you like blueberries instead of chocolate chips in your pancakes, don’t you? Di-“
Sighing yet again, the pink haired man throws a soft pillow at his worried roommate, who just barely caught it in his arms. “The pancakes were great, Yun, don’t worry about it. Better them than a burnt pizza.” He added on with a teasing grin, to which the other huffed and threw the pillow back at him.
“Hey! I swear the instructions said forty-two minutes, not thirty-two!” He insisted, slumping back into the gray beanbag. “I’m gonna stay up pretty late, I have a paper due tomorrow morning and I still haven’t finished. I uh, might be playing some music, just tell me if it gets too loud.”
Humming in understanding, Yeosang shifted from his position on the couch, hand reaching out to grab a book that had been resting on the coffee table. “I probably won’t notice, it’s fine. Just no sneaking out, eh?” He shot back monotonously.
Yunho visibly stiffened, his fingers latching onto the sides of the plush beanbag. Clearly, he hadn’t been expecting that snarky statement from the other man. “Calm down, I’m just joking. I could give less shits about whatever you do in your own bedroom, Yun.” Yeosang continued, eyes subtly narrowing at the taller of the pair.
Of course, he was lying through his teeth; quite smoothly, though. For the past four weeks, Yeosang had been noticing something off about his roommate. In the middle of the night, he would hear a window open and close – then repeat just before the sun rose over the horizon. Yeosang already knew Yunho was, for some godforsaken reason, “sneaking” out to do something about every two nights. There was a certain pattern to it, so he didn’t suspect a secret lover or anything too crazy.
But tonight, Yeosang planned to follow Yunho. It was invasive, yes, but he was worried. The last time someone had snuck out, they had vanished without a trace – without a single goodbye. Truth be told, the man didn’t want to experience that feeling ever again. Over the past few months he’s been living with the student, he had started to feel a sense of comfort. Losing that would be yet another terrible memory to tuck back into the darkest crevices of his mind.
Bidding his unsuspecting roommate a quiet goodnight, Yeosang sat upright on the couch and kicked his legs up onto the table, book nestled between his thighs. He would wait, and listen – as long as he needed to.
Just as he suspected, about an hour and a half later, Yunho peeked out of his bedroom to check on the pink haired man. Yeosang, pretending not to notice this action, merely licked the tip of his finger and flipped to the next page in his book. When the door slowly closed, he silently placed the book on the arm of the couch and tiptoed over to Yunho’s bedroom. The music he had been playing wasn’t too loud, letting Yeosang hear pretty much whatever it was his tall friend was up to on the other side of the door.
At the faint sound of the window unlocking with a click, Yeosang slowly pushed the door open. An inaudible gasp flew past his lips, going unheard by Yunho, who was beginning to climb onto a thick spool of rope dangling outside his bedroom window. A sudden sense of urgency swept over Yeosang, urging him to go and stop his friend from doing – well, whatever the fuck he was doing, of course!
“Y-Yunho!” He shouted, speeding over to the window just as the other man was about to try and close it with his foot. Reaching out to grab onto the rope and the edge of the teal haired man’s shirt, Yeosang refused to let go.
“Yeosang? W-what’re you doing?” Yunho squeaked in pure shock, now hanging onto the rope for dear life so he and the man holding onto him didn’t crash into the bushes below them.
Ignoring the drop in his heart when he realized he’d almost lost his grip, Yeosang huffed and tried to pull Yunho back down through the open window. “Me? I’m saving your dumbass – why the fuck are you climbing a rope, anyway-?”
“Yunho, you’re taking too long, we’re pulling you up!” A new voice interrupted their arguing, making both of them freeze. In the blink of an eye, the rope was been tugged upwards by someone. Before Yeosang could try one last time to throw them both back into the bedroom, his foot lost its grounding on the windowsill.
Suddenly, they were going up into the air, Yeosang holding back a scream while Yunho told him to hold on.

Baby Blue Circumstances
Winwin ×| Taeyong ×| Jaehyun ●| Johnny ×| Irregular Office Series.
Description:
In which a handsome, young, rich man tries to persuade you into giving him full custody of your kids. Because 'Technically they were his'.......
Warnings: Graphic sex, not-so-vanilla kinks, mentions of adoption, abortion, alcohol, toxic relations, child neglect, plot based.
If you do not like any of these then i advise you to go read something else in my blog.
I feel like i don't need disclaimers because it's obvious that this ain't real so....
_____________
You scrambled to turn on the tv as the impatient three year old in your arm screams. Wincing at the sound as you hurriedly ran from one area to another. Your apartment filling with the sounds of high pitched cries, and overly positive pixilated cartoon characters. The cries seemed to only get louder as you placed her down for a millisecond, to swiftly grab her baby bottle from the microwave. It was well over Jaehye's feeding time, being that it was already two o'clock and that she usually ate at twelve. Your gaze shifts from the child in your arms to the other, peacefully sat on the sofa. Unlike his sister he was calm, even laughing at whatever the animated characters were saying. You smiled fondly at the child. And looked at Jaehye once more, noticing that her eyelids are at the midst of shutting, indicating that she was close to slumber. You smiled and slowly made your way to their shared bedroom. Entering the mellow, navy blue painted room; you carefully tried stepping over the lego's and ponies that were scattered all over the floor. Succeeding, and carefully placing your daughter on her bed. You wrapped her arms around her brown fuzzy teddy bear and gently tucked her in, not forgetting to close the curtains on your way out.
It had been exactly 1 year since you had adopted these two angels. Though it was a lifestyle that was quite hard adjust to, nonetheless you were glad you made the decision. You would've never imagined that you'd become a mother so soon, as you were just starting to get your life together. You were a college graduate one day and suddenly a mother of two the next. Your friends called you crazy; your father asked if you were mentally sane; your sister made it very clear to you she disapproved; whilst your mother tried persuaded you to do it. You were puzzled. But, you can truly say that it was the best decision of your life.
Yes it was a real pain in the ass at first, but now it's become second nature. You no longer have to wake up in the butt crack of dawn to feed them; as they were more than capable now to grab a baby bottle from the mini-fridge in their room. You saved up money and effort by potty training them. And your financials seemed to stabilized as you no longer needed to spend extra money on over priced diapers. You weren't exactly a natural at motherhood but over time you gained the skills and know the children like the back of your hand. Even having a stable routine for them, of course without the surprised tantrums and spontaneous needs for story times. Their favorite story by far was superwoman, as your daughter calls it. It the more child-friendly tale of how they came to be in your arms, but they didn't need to know that...
The story of these two touched you dearly. Really it was quite a fairytale. Whilst working as an editor for some fashion magazine you somehow caught wind of the story of these two from your co-works. It was said that they came from an unfit mother who neglected them, and left her twelve year old sister to care for the kids. Leaving them with sevier health problems. The mother was a drug addict that chose to spend her time at night clubs, instead of caring for her children. She liked the carefree lifestyle, and you tried to understand her, really. But everything went into the trash can after she was convicted for attempted murder of the kids, not to mention drug possession and distributing. You've met her and can truly say that she was the most vile and disgusting person you've ever met. And the father?.... that was uncertain... It saddened you to know that they were made by accident... Two precious and loving children were conceived with the soul purpose of pleasure.
You debated for weeks whether or not you should do it. Rolling out the con's and sticking with the pro's: a stable job with a nice boss that paid way over minimum wage, a big apparent, and a job that works from home most of the time. You've asked many for their opinions and while most encouraged you and applauded you, there were some that disapproved, your sister to be exact. You and her have always been close, her only being two years older. She was wise and you always trusted her guidance. You understood why she disapproved and couldn't really blame her. You were just getting your life together, this would just crumble everything down. You were sad that you couldn't get her approval, but you didn't really need her permission. It was mainly your parents who you really needed to consult with. Of course they were unsure at first but they trusted you and made sure you knew the responsibilities before encouraging you. You knew what you were doing. Those children needed a mother, they needed someone. And so, the very next day you found yourself leaving the orphanage in front of your work place, with two children at hand. They were happy, despite what they've gone through. Though you highly doubted that they even know what's happening.
That day was filled with so much laughter and fond memories. In just one day, you showed them more love than their previous mother ever did. They even refused to sleep in their own room, scared that when they wake up they'll be back at the hands of their unfit mother.
Your thoughts were suddenly interrupted by a lound knock on the front door. You stood up from your previous spot, on the couch, and slowly made your way to the door. Slowly opening it to reveal a handsome young man, that looked to be in his early twenties. He was wearing a grey suit that look very expensive, with brown swept back hair, and newly polished shoes. He was undoubtedly the hottest person you've ever seen...
"May i help you?" You asked, hesitancy clearly evident in your voice. "Yes, are you Ms. Lee by any chance?" He smiled, proudly displaying his dimples. His chocolate drown eyes sparkling in what looked to be delight, as his deep husky voice erupted from his lips. "That's me." You nodded. "I don't know how to tell you this, but im the father of your child." Your jaw dropped a little as your eyes blink rapidly, heart pounding in disbelief as you looked at the man again. He looked calm, pleased almost. "What are you- Jaeun, g-go look after y-your sister please..." You ordered, eyes not leaving the man. To which the little boy nodded to before turning off the tv and scurrying off. Clearly understanding that a talk between you and the man needed to be held without his presence. "Sister?" The man infront of you mumbled to himself. "I-i think you need to come in." Unnervingly, you said. To which he replied, "very well..."
"I didn't get your name?" He asked as he sipped on the wine he opted for instead of water. "Y/n, you?" The atmosphere was quieter than space; and ten times more awkwarder than your interactions with your neighbors who mate like wild rabbits. How do you follow up 'im the father of your child' by 'how was your day?' No.
"Jaehyun." He placed the wine glass down before clrossing his legs, a smirk playing on his lips. "S-so jaehyun why are you here exactly?" Jaehyun hm? Well now you can see where the mother got her inspiration from. She was probably moaning the name the entire night...
You saw the resemblance between him and the children, like the dimples and eyes, also the cheeks. They looked more like him than the mom, he was definitely the father. "Look I'll be very honest here. I wanna take back my child. I was unaware that they existed and i wanna raise him as my own now. So how much will it take." Was he thinking that he could just pay you off like that? Fuck no. Who does he think he is. To walk in here thinking he can buy the children off you. They are your children now not his. If he wants them he's gonna have to kill you off first. You were enraged as a matter of fact.
"Excuse me!? Do you just think you can pay me off like that? They're my children now, not yours. You may be the father but they're under my custody now." It was evident in your voice that you were angry but your stature remained calm. So did his, he just sat there and sipped on his wine, angering you even more. Did he think this was some game? "Look y/n, how much do you want, im prepared to pay any amount." He probed once more. "I don't want your money." Did he think he was doing you some good? You had money too, financials are the last thing you should be worrying about...
"Very well then, i didn't wanna have to do this but, Ms. Lee y/n, im suing you." He couldn't sue you, he had nothing against you. He just hoped that you would buy his bullshit and give him what he wanted.
"Suing me? You have nothing on me. What are you gonna sue me for? I signed the legal papers that clearly stated they are my children now! It was never stated that there were two legal guardians that i needed signatures from. Technically, you can't sue me!"
Damn you were smart...
"Im still suing you."
"For what!"
"Emotional distress!"
"Emotional distress?! Unbelievable! Get out!" You scoffed. Anger flowing through your vains.
"Mommy what's with all the screaming?"
In the midst of glaring at jaehyun a high pitched voice spoke, breaking your strong gaze. Your eyes soften as you turn to the hallway and see both your kids innocently watching.
"Nothing baby, nothing. This man was just leaving, go back to your room." You softly uttered.
"There's two of them?..." Asked jaehyun as he takes in the child's features.
"Yes, they're twins." The tone you used was unreadable, a mix of defeat and agony.
"Can I just talk to them, please. Then I'll leave." He begged, a glimpse of desperation in his eyes. You couldn't say no, you just couldn't...
"Alright, but don't tell them you're their father. Their not ready yet..." Jaehyun nodded and you called the kids to sit with you. They were hesitant at first but eventually did.
"Hi." Jaeun was the first to speak up.
"Hello." Jaehyun laughed at the boys cuteness.
"I'm jaeun, who are you?" He asked, pointing at the males direction.
"I'm jaehyun, nice to meet you." Jaehyun spoke to the child with care and gentleness. You saw how eagerly he wanted to get to know them. Extremely vulnerable to rejection.
"Nice to meet you hyung, that's my sister jaehye, but she's really shy..." jaehyun diverts his attention to the little girl curled up in your arms and waves. Jaehye smiles and waves back at him before quickly hiding in your chest.
"Look, I'm not giving you full custody of my kids, but you are always welcome to come and see them." You said sternly, arms wrapping around the frail figure in your arms.
Jaehyun nodded and smiled. That day he left with an unshakable feeling of excitement and a new formed attraction towards you.
He knew then and there that he wanted to be the father of your children. And if you will have him, the husband of your dreams.

A/N: Here’s the fluff I’ve been working on. Also this ended up being an angsty fluff fyi!! Let me know what ya think💕💕
You had your head on Mena’s chest as you both were laying down in bed. “It’s going to be all right,” Mena said as he brushed his hand through your hair. You and Mena had been married for almost half a year and you had just taken a trip to the gynecologist for your yearly appointment. You had questioned the doctor on your possiblity of getting pregnant because you have had a history of very irregular periods. Unfortunately due to that reason, the doctor said, in the future, that you most likely will show signs of infertility. This conversation led you to where you are now, which was back at home, crying into Mena’s chest. “We can always adopt,” Mena told you, reassuringly. You couldn’t look at him because you hated people seeing you cry. “It’s an idea, but you know that’s not the same as having our own kid,” you replied. “A kid with your beautiful eyes...and your charming smile....maybe your curly hair...,” you said, but the longer you talked, the more upset you felt. Mena sat up and pulled you with him, your head now on his shoulder. “Ok, but remember the doctor didn’t confirm that you definitely can’t. There’s just the possibility that you won’t. Also, we haven’t even been married for more than a year! As much as I’m excited to be your baby daddy someday...,” he said, nudging you, making you smile. “I want to enjoy alone time with you as your husband. Let’s just enjoy the moment and if it happens, it will happen!,” he said, wrapping his arms around you. Maybe Mena was right. Though you were still scared, you didn’t want to rush things.
About six months later, you and Mena were laying in bed, asleep. Your eyes shot open and you sat up in bed. You felt a nauseous pain in your stomach and headed for the bathroom. Mena awoke from the sound of you being sick in the bathroom, which made him jolt up and rush to the bathroom. “Y/n! Babe,” he said. Your head lifted up from the toilet when you heard his voice. “I’m fine. I think it’s over for now,” you told him. You flushed the toilet and went over to the sink to wash your face. When you were finished, you looked back at Mena, who was standing in the doorway. “Go back to bed. I just have a stomach bug. I’ll join you in a minute,” you told him. He wanted to stay up to take care of you, but you and him both knew he had a long day of reshoots tomorrow. You glanced over to look at the clock. 5:26 am. More like today. “Wake me up if you need anything,” he said, yawning. You nodded and brushed your teeth to get rid of the smell. As you got back into bed, you wondered where or who you may have caught the stomach bug from.
Mena got home late that night to find you curled up in bed. “Hey, honey. How’s your stomach?,” he asked. You sat up and gave him a weird look. “It’s weird. I only threw up that one time. I was fine after that,” you replied. “Well, we all usually feel fine after that happens. Do you have a fever?,” he asked as he tucked your hair behind your ear. “Nope. I’m all good,” you told him. “Hm. That’s weird,” he said. “Anyways, I’m going to hop in the shower and then I’ll join you in bed,” he said, kissing your forehead. “Ok,” you replied.
3 days later:
Here you were. Again. Your head practically all the way in the toilet bowl this time. You had, yet again, woke up to find yourself getting sick and rushing to the bathroom. You really needed to go to the doctor and see if you had caught the common stomach flu. You hated getting sick like this every few days.
A week later, you were sitting with a nurse as they recorded your symptoms on sheets of paper on a clipboard. Mena had yet another busy day at work so you were at the doctor’s office alone. “Headache?,” they asked. “Sometimes, but not every time,” you replied. “Nausea?” “Yes.” “Sore throat?” “No.” “Stuffy nose?” “No.” “Back pain?” “Yes.” The nurse nodded and said the doctor would meet her in just a few minutes. When the nurse left, you grasped your stomach. Yet another stomach cramp. You held onto your stomach as you anxiously waited for the doctor. Around 10 minutes later, the doctor came in. “Hello, y/n. How are you?,” he asked, smiling. “I’ve been better,” you replied. “Well..I’ve taken a look at your symptoms and I’m going to need you to take a urine test. It’ll help us figure out what’s going on with you. Ok?,” he said. You nodded. “Great. Just take this..,” he said, handing you a plastic cup,...and use the bathroom next to the nurse’s office and put in through the little door in there.” You took the cup from him as he opened the door for you. As you headed into the bathroom, you noticed Mena had texted you. He had asked how you were feeling and how the doctor was going. You told him you were ok and that the doctor was having you take a urine test. You shoved your phone back in your pocket as you entered the bathroom.
When you sat back down in your designated room, the doctor came in and said it would take about twenty minutes for the results. You laid down on foam chair covered in tissue paper. For the next twenty minutes, you fiddled with your fingers and massaged your stomach. You were drawing a face on your stomach when the doctor came back in. You sat up as he glanced at his clipboard. “Ok, y/n. We ran some tests. Your stomach problems, among your other symptoms are not due to a illness. You’re not sick. You’re pregnant. Congratulations,” he said. You fell backwards into the chair and stared at the doctor. “I’m-I’m what?!,” you asked. “You’re pregnant, y/n. These symptoms are a part of the pregnancy and the urine sample ran through a pregnancy test and it was positive. My advice is to set up an appointment with your gynecologist and go home and tell your family,” he said, giving you a smile. You nervously laughed, hiding how overwhelmed you felt. “Thank you, doctor,” you replied.
You laid in bed for hours staring at the ceiling after that. Your thoughts getting lost as you blankly stared at the whirling ceiling fan. Would Mena ger upset? I mean he always wanted kids with you..but this was too soon. As your thoughts went on and on soon your eyes began to close as you drifted off to sleep.
Your eyes shot open when you heard the door to the bedroom creak open. It was Mena. “Hey, sleepyhead. You’re up. Good,” he said, walking in the room. “Yeah. I’ve sort of just been laying here since I got home from the doctor,” you replied. “Oh,” Mena exclaimed, running out of the room and running back in with one hand behind his back. “Speaking of the doctor. I have a surprise for you.” “His surprise will be nothing compared to mine,” you nervously thought. He popped his hidden hand out, displaying a stuffed bear and Pepto Bismol. “I got you a bear. AND LOOK IT SAYS GET WELL SOON ON ITS FOOT! I also got you more of the stomach relief medicine that always seems to help,” he smiled, dorkily. “Hey. How did you know I needed more of this?,” you asked him. “I’m the husband. It’s part if my job description,” he replied, leaning down to kiss your forehead. “Right,” you said. “So..,” he said, sitting down at the spot next to you. “What did the doctor say?” [On the way home, you made a pit stop at the drugstore for a pregnancy test. Of course, it resulted in two lines that meant you were pregnant. The stick was currently lying on the bathroom sink that conjoined the bedroom.] “Sweetie?,” he asked, bringing you back to the present moment. “Oh! Sorry. Um..it went fine!,” you told him. Mena raised his eyebrow. “Fine, how? Like you’re not sick anymore? They found out what you had?,” he asked. You closed your eyes nervously and peeked them open as you stared into the bathroom. “Um...ok. Hold on,” you told him. You got up and briskly walked to the bathroom. “Wha-What do you mean “hold on”? How are you feeling?,” he asked, laughing a little. You walked out of the bathroom with one hand behind your back. “Close your e..eyes,” your voice shook. He closed his eyes. “Now you have a surprise for me?,”he asked with a smug smile. “Yeah. A big one,” you laughed nervously. You reached to where he was sitting on the bed. “Hold out your hands,” you told him. He put his hands out and you noticed they were shaking. “You’re going to put something disgusting in my hand. I know it,” he told you. “I’m not. Don’t be silly,” you replied. You placed in his hand the stick wrapped in toilet paper. “Ok. You can open,” you told him. He slowly peeked his eyes open. “You got me toilet paper?,” he laughed. “Just unwrap it please,” you said. You were losing your patience. “Ok,” he replied. He laughed at how ridiculously irritated you seemed. “What could cause you to be like this?,” he thought to himself. He unwrapped the paper, revealing the stick. You clenched your teeth together as you waited for him to say something. He stared at the stick in his hands with a blank expression on his face. He said nothing. You started internally panicking. Oh no, he’s going to want an abortion. He didn’t even want kids this early. How could you two have been so careless?! This is what you two get for fooling arou- That’s when you noticed a single tear fall down Mena’s right cheek. An upset or happy tear? He blinked both of his eyes, producing more tears. You leaned down to his level and placed a hand on his cheek. “Honey?.....Mena?,” you asked. He finally looked at you. “It happened,” he said. “Y-Yeah...,” you said, hesitantly. He stood up from the bed and walked towards the middle of the room. “After all the anxiety that’s been caused by your irregular cycle, we did it.....WE’RE PREGNANT!!,” he exclaimed. He embraced you in a tight hug and spinned you around. Now, you were the one crying. “Wait. So, you’re excited about this?,” you asked as he set you down. “Yes! Why wouldn’t I be?,” he asked you. You rubbed the back of your neck. “Because it ruins our plans of having alone time right now. I mean that’s what you said back when...” “Of course I want as much alone time with you as my wife as I can, but we were always going to be parents. It just happened early in our case,” he told you. “Aren’t you happy?,” he asked. “Of course I am! I just figured you thought this was too early. I didn’t know how you would react,” you replied.
“Well, I’m happy...actually I’m ecstatic!,” he said, brushing a piece of hair behind your ear. That’s when you broke. “I can’t believe we’re future parents!!,” you exclaimed. You jumped into Mena’s arms and he spun you around once again. “Can you believe we’ll have a kid who will have your caring eyes and sweet smile?,” Mena said. “Don’t forget they’ll inherit this curly hair of yours,” you said, ruffling the top of his head of brown curls. “Not to brag prematurely, but this baby is going to be one awesome kid,” you told Mena. “With you as their mom, how could they not be?,” he replied. Your cheeks turned red, but Mena ignored it as he placed a kiss on your lips. As your lips parted, you leaned your forehead against his. “Thank you......for being happy about it I mean,” you whispered to him as if you weren’t the only ones in the room. “I was always going to be. No matter how early or how late,” he whispered back. You smiled and took Mena’s hand in yours, dragging back into the bed with you. He laid his head on your stomach. “Babe, you’re not going to be able to hear a heartbeat this early on,” you laughed. “Hey, a man can dream,” he retorted. He continued to rest his head on your stomach, which calmed you. Eventually, you got to the point where you couldn’t keep your eyes open and right when you were about to fall asleep, Mena spoke up. “Hey. You never told me what the doctor said,” he said. He waited a few seconds before he broke out in laughter. You grabbed a pillow beside you and smacked the side of his head with it. “ Gosh! You’re such a dork,” you exclaimed. “Yeah, but you still love me,” he replied. He was right. You sure did. I mean...he was your baby daddy after all....

A New Place to Call Home
Hybrid AU
Namjoon x Reader
Masterlist
You were sleeping so peacefully, when someone nudged your shoulder, startling you awake and away from them on instinct, until you realized it was just Youngjae, who worked at the shelter you lived at.
“Y/n, you have a visitor. He’s asked for someone like you. Would you like to meet him?” His voice was soothing as you nodded your head, hopefully about to meet your newest owner. See, the shelter you were at, was designed for hybrids, like yourself, who had previously been in a bad home. The workers made sure that those who adopted from them wouldn’t mistreat the hybrids.
Youngjae left you alone for a minute, so you could change and prepare yourself for the new person. As a bunny hybrid, you were naturally shy, but even more so after your last owner abused you, physically and mentally. Stepping out of your room, you walked to the cafeteria, where you would meet the guy Youngjae talked about.
Before you saw them however, Jinyoung and Jaebum, the only two cat hybrids of the shelter, stopped you. They stood in front of you.
“So. Youngjae told us he has potentially found you a new owner. Are you gonna be okay? Or do you want us there with you for moral support?” Jaebum asked, making you smile at his over protectiveness.
“No, I think I’ll be fine. If I need anything, I’ll just come running to you two after Youngjae. That’s if something bad happens. But, I’ve gotta go.” You gave them each a quick hug and kiss on the cheek, before they left to the other side of the room.
Youngjae was talking to another guy, presumably the one who wanted to meet you. He was tall, and when he smiled there were dimples, which were cute.
“Ah! Y/n, come here sweetheart.” Youngjae caught sight of you, before ushering you over to him. “Y/n, this is Namjoon. He’s looking to adopt right now. Namjoon, this is Y/n. She tends to get shy with new people.” You had clung to Youngjae while he talked, still hesitant about him. “Oh, and please be careful what you say. And try to not raise your voice if something is wrong. She’s dealt with enough of that for an entire lifetime.”
“Go on.” Youngjae urged you forward and away from him, as he took leave of you two, giving you privacy.
“H-hi.” You gave him a small, shy smile, one which he returned.
“Hi there.” My god, those dimples would be the death of you. The two of you made small talk, you learning all about him as you gave him simple answers. You learned he was a lawyer, and that he went to work at 8 am, and came around 6:30 and 7 pm. He didn’t work weekends, unless it was a big case. He preferred to stay in most nights, and was really clumsy. “I think that’s the most I’ve talked about myself in a very long time.” He says with a laugh, before his face turns serious. “So, how would you like to come and stay with me? A permanent new home? You can come home with e today even, if you’d like.” He was so hopeful, and he seemed pretty nice after all.
You nod your head while saying, “Yes.” A smile spread across your face, once you realized you agreed to a new place to call home. One that would actually be a loving and caring home. He nearly picked you up to spin you around, but decided better of it, before bringing his hands to his mouth, and grinning even harder if that were possible.
He went over to Youngjae, you following behind him, as he told him he wanted to go ahead and sign the adoption papers and to take you home today.
“Awesome. If you’ll just sign right here, I will show you to her room, so she can get her things, and then you are free to take her home.” He was smiley as always, making you feel better about leaving the shelter.
“Namjoon, I could still come back here, right? To see Youngjae and the others?” You really hoped he said yes, you would miss never being able to talk to Youngjae, Jinyoung, or Jaebum again. They became your best friends while you’ve been here.
“Of course we can. What kind of person would I be if I didn’t let you come back to see your friends?” He smiled at you as the two of you followed Youngjae, before lightly ruffling your hair, fingertips grazing your ear, making you shiver.
“Ah, here we are.” Youngjae stopped in front of your room, and you walked in, grabbed the few clothes you had, and gave them to Namjoon.
“Here. This is all I really have here. Oh, and this.” You grabbed your two journals and pens/pencils. But you kept a hold of them. You didn’t want anyone else seeing what you’ve drawn. Clutching them close to your chest, Namjoon held your hand as Youngjae led you and Namjoon outside.
“Well Y/n, I guess this is good-bye. You’ll always have a place here, should you ever need to come back. I’ll miss you short-stack.” He had a sad smile on his face as he ruffled your hair, before lightly rubbing the base of your ears. Your eyes closed as you leaned into his touch. He was the one person, apart from Jinyoung or Jaebum, that you would let touch your ears, as they were very sensitive.
Your eyes opened when he stopped, and you had missed the face of longing Namjoon had, which disappeared the moment your eyes opened.
“Well, let’s head on home. Gotta get you some clothes later today, that way we can relax the rest of the weekend. See ya later, Youngjae.” Though you were saddened as you watched the shelter disappear from your sight, you were excited at the thought of a new home. Namjoon was very gentle as he led the way home, but also letting you look and sniff around at all the new sights. As you turned one last corner, he stopped in front of a very nice building. It was apartments, but they were obviously nice. He put a code in on the keypad, and then there was the audible sound of the door unlocking. He opened the door, and then went to an elevator, quickly pressing the button. Stepping in, you glanced down, and realized he hadn’t stopped holding your hand the entire way there. You grinned to yourself, as movement stopped, the doors opened, revealing a short hallway, where he used his key to open the door to the apartment.
It was beautiful inside. To the left was a kitchen, and straight ahead was a living room. A couch on the wall and one in front of the T.V. that was on the wall. On each side of the T.V., were windows, each with a window seat.
“C'mon. I’ll show you the rest of the place.” He smiled almost shyly as he spoke, before moving down the hallway. Your room was across from his, with a full-size bed, a desk, and another window. Then there was the closet and dresser along the same wall, across from the bed. His was set up similarly, but he didn’t have a window. Then he had a guest room, and the bathroom across from said room. At the end of the hallway was a washer and dryer.
“This is so pretty. Thank you so much.” You turned and gave him a hug, nuzzling your face up into his neck. When you pulled away, his cheeks were bright red.
“It’s nothing much, really.” He mumbled. “So,” he cleared his throat, “would you like to go shop for some clothes now?”
“Sure. But can it wait a bit? I’m a little hungry. I haven’t had lunch yet.” After a delicious lunch, with him tripping and nearly dropping it as well, the two of you went to different stores and bought you some new clothes. All the pants had a hole for your tail, as well as the hats for your ears. By the time you got home, it was time for dinner, and you were flat-out exhausted. Sitting on the couch, you slightly curled up, creating warmth as you waited for Namjoon.
As he called out, he didn’t get a response from you, so he was shocked to find you curled up and asleep on the couch. Smiling softly, he went to you, before picking you up, laughing to himself as you nuzzled into him, before he took you to your room and tucking you in. Taking his phone out, he took a quick picture of you laying there all snuggled up to a pillow, before halfway closing the door and going to bed himself.
Over the course of the next few months, Namjoon had been nothing but kind and caring to you. Always making sure you were okay, and during this time, you were finally comfortable enough with him, that he was shocked the day you brought his hand up to your ears, a silent offer to pet them. Since then, he had taken a lot of opportunities to rub your ears, knowing now that it would help you sleep at night. Along with being cuddled by him. Everything was wonderful. Until this one day…
“Joonie! You’re back!!” You ran up to him, capturing him in a hug. He hadn’t been home much the past few weeks, as he had a very important case to work on. He was gone early in the mornings and gone until late at night.
“Y/n.” He gave you a tight lipped smile, making you tilt your head in confusion.
“Joonie? What’s wrong? Please tell me I didn’t do anything to make you angry with me and that’s the cause for your not being home.” You knew he had to work, but your insecurities came tumbling out, as you let out a squeak, realizing what you just said.
“Y/n, just stop for once, ok? I feel like I’m suffocating with how you’ve been hovering over me. I get it. You’re worried and all. But do you think you could tone it down a bit?”
Lowering your head, you mumbled out, “Ok. Good night Namjoon.” You kept your head low as you walked back to your room. You didn’t have the energy to slam it shut like you wanted to, but you did lock it.
You grabbed your little journal, and made an entry for the night.
*I waited up for Joonie. He hasn’t been home early lately. But I hover over him and suffocate him. Or so he says tonight. So, I guess I’ll stop with waiting up for him. And sleeping with him. Unless he explicitly asks, I just won’t do anything to ‘suffocate’ him. Well, I guess that’s all for now.*
After closing your journal, you climb into bed, hugging your oversized teddy bear close, drifting off to sleep.
—————————————————————
For the next week or so, you stopped randomly cuddling with Namjoon on the couch, instead opting to curl in on yourself with your head resting on the arm rest. You wouldn’t greet him at the door, and you’d begun to hide away in your room. He didn’t particularly seem to care about any of that, so you did it more often than not.
—————————————————-
Namjoon had finally finished the long case he’d been working on for weeks now, and felt a huge weight lift off his shoulders. He couldn’t wait to get home to you and snuggle. He sighed just from imagining it. As he stepped foot into the apartment, he noticed it didn’t seem lively like normal.
“Hey, Bunbun, I’m home!” He called out, hoping to entice you to come running to him like normal. He was met with silence, and that’s when he began to worry. You would always come meet him. He made his way through the apartment, checking each room til he came to yours. There you were, lying there, fast asleep, with Jimin next to you. Jimin was a cat-hybrid that lived across the hallway. Jimin had sat up when he walked in, and when he tried getting closer, he actually hissed at him!
“What’s up with you? I’ve never heard you hiss before.”
“Well I wouldn’t have to if you didn’t make her cry.”
“Woah woah, when did I make her cry? And why?” He was beyond confused, but saddened at the thought of you crying because of him!
“You apparently told her to, and I quote, ‘Tone down the hovering. It feels as though I’m suffocating.’ That is what you told my sweet little bunny. Have you been so busy, that you don’t have time for her? That you don’t even remember what you say to her? You know how sensitive she is. Anything you say, will affect her. Now leave, she needs to sleep right now. She spent the last hour crying to me after I came over when she called me.” Jimin huffed, and cuddled back up to you, making you nuzzle your nose into him, your small little tail wiggling in your sleep. He left the room, shutting the door behind him, and went to sit on the couch, contemplating how this came to be.
——————————————————-
“Hey little bunny. Wake up.” Jimin’s soft voice woke you from a very peaceful nap. Still half-asleep, you clung onto him, mumbling a 'five more minutes’, making him giggle cutely. “No my little bunny. You need to get up. One because I have to go back to my home for dinner, but two because you’ve got a visitor. And he really wants to talk to you. Also, you can literally smell how bad he feels. You should go talk to him.”
“Ugh, alright. But if I really want you to, can you come back over after dinner? If I really wanted you over here for the night?” You stared while pouting lightly, giving him your best puppy dog eyes.
“Fine, yes. But only if you don’t like what he says after all this.” He groaned, with you pumping your fist upwards in victory.
“Yes! But okay. You go on out, tell him I’ll be out shortly, ok?” You gave him one last, long hug, before he disappeared through your open doorway.

“She’ll be down shortly. Don’t go in there. Let her come to you. Also, I might come back over if she really wants me to. I just have to tell Hobi and Yoongi.” His owners were pretty easy going, as they were close friends with Namjoon, so it wouldn’t be a big deal for him to come and spend the night. Used to happen all the time until you got comfortable around him.
Ugh, why did he have to be such an idiot and say those things. If only-
“Hey.” You had finally come out after some contemplation.
“Bunbun, hey. I need to apologize to you.” He grabbed your hand, guiding you to sit down beside him.
“Listen. I am so sorry to you Bunbun. I had been so stressed out, work was hectic. And I know that’s no excuse for what I said to you. But it started a chain reaction. I wanted to work as much as possible to get out from under all of it, to try and do it fast. Since I brought my work home with me, I never really had a break. I am so sorry for how I treated you. Will you ever forgive me?” He pleaded, and you stared at him.
“Okay.” You finally muttered after some time. His face lit up it was almost blinding.
“Okay? So all is forgiven?”
“Yes.” All it took was that one word confirmation for him to hug you, one hand resting at the back of your head, the other on your back. You felt him hold back on rubbing your ears, and you grabbed his hand and brought it to your ear, a silent offering he happily took. You were then practically purring, content to finally have things back to normal. Or, as normal as it could be with the both of you.
