Has anybody had trouble buying tickets through Creation? I'm wanting to go to the Radio Company concert and the only friend who will go with me is nervous about bad reviews Creation has gotten.

Hello! I don't know if your requests are open, but if they are...can you do a headcanon of Sam and Dean's younger half sister (10 years younger than Dean, and 6 years younger than Sam) being turned into a werewolf? Thank you!
Hi! My requests are not open at this time, but I have many series in the works and that's what I'm putting my focus on right now.

Don't Close Your Eyes
Pairing: Dean x Reader
Warnings: Car accident, Injury, Angst, Fluff
Word Count: 3,482
Summary: After a car accident leaves you both injured, you have a simple request for Dean.
A/N: Feedback is appreciated!
Tumblr media
Your eyes slowly open. The first thing that your mind registers is the feeling of pain. The second thing is that you're strapped upside down in a car. Groaning, you turn your head a bit to find Dean all bloody and bruised up. His face is scratched and bleeding and you're pretty sure that he's unconscious. Or at least you hope that he is only unconscious.
"Dean," you croak out, wincing at the soreness in your throat. "Dean, baby, please." You reach over to take his hand in yours and you give it a strong squeeze. A sob tears its way out of your throat when Dean doesn't respond. Your hand goes to your seat belt to unbuckle it, and you put both of your legs out in front of you to break your fall. You stop and sigh when you see the odd angle that your left leg is twisted in. Yep definitely broken.
"Crap," you breathe out, realizing that you're stuck now without being able to walk. "Dean, baby, please," you plead once more as tears well up in your eyes.
"Dean! (Y/N)!"
Your heart leaps at the sound of the voice. "Sam!"
He runs over and kneels down on your side of the car and his eyes widen a bit when he sees the shape that you two are in. "(Y/N), you okay?" he asks you.
"I think so," you choke out as you turn your head to look over at Sam. "I think my leg is broke but Dean is worse off than I am."
Sam takes a deep breath and he nods his head a bit at you."I already called an ambulance when I pulled up, but I'm going to try to get you two out of there."
"Okay," you breathe out. "Please get Dean out of here first though."
"(Y/N)..."
"I can already feel myself getting lightheaded from being upside down for so long and with Dean being unconscious..."
"(Y/N), I can't get him out by myself," Sam tells you.
"Then I'll help you."
"With a broken leg?" he asks you softly. "And, anyways, that isn't what I meant because even if you could help me then we still couldn't do it."
"Sam..."
"Dean is pinned in by the dash so we'll have to have some kind of equipment."
"He can't just say like that in the shape that he's in."
"(Y/N), I could've had you out of there three times already if we hadn't have been arguing about this."
"Fine, then get me out of here if you must," you sigh. Sam takes a deep breath before reaching in to unbuckle your seat belt.
"Okay," he breathes out. "I'm going to try to break your fall with my arms as much as I can but you still might have to use that bad leg for a minute."
"I don't care," you tell Sam as tears start falling down both of your cheeks. "Just whatever you do please make sure that Dean's taken care of."
"I will, (Y/N)," Sam tells you softly. "I promise." You swallow hard and you nod your head a bit at Sam. "Okay," Sam breathes out. "I'm gonna unbuckle you."
"Okay," you breathe out and you nod your head a bit at him. Your arms wrap around Sam's as you hear the click of the seat belt. You can't help the gasp that escapes you as your foot hits the roof of the car and a bolt of pain shoots up your leg.
"I know. I know," Sam whispers as he turns to ease you out the car and a bolt of pain shoots up your leg.
"I know. I know," Sam whispers as he tries to ease you out thee open window. You cry out and cling onto Sam as he gently pulls you out an into both of his arms. You burst into tears once Sam is sitting on the pavement and holding you tightly in both of his arms.
"You have to get Dean out of he's going to die there," you tell Sam as you cling tightly to him and you turn your head a bit to look over towards Dean.
"They'll get him out," Sam tells you softly, sighing in relief when he hears the sirens in the distance. "You need to be still because I think that you broke more than just a leg."
"I don't care," you groan, only now acknowledging the fact that your entire body hurts just as bad as your left leg does.
Once the ambulances and firetrucks start pulling up, your anxiety starts easing off while also skyrocketing at the same time. You know that these people can help Dean now but you also don't like the fact that they're pulling you in a thousand different directions.
"Ma'am, you need to get onto the stretcher," one of the paramedics tells you as if you haven't heard this a hundred times already.
"No," you argue. "I want to stay where I can keep an eye on my husband."
"(Y/N)," Sam tells you softly. "They can turn the stretcher around where you can see Dean."
"But they'll still want to put me into the ambulance and I won't be able to see from there."
"I won't let them," he tells you softly. "Just relax. I'll help you up there."
"Alright," you breathe out and you nod your head a bit at him. When Sam goes to practically lift you up off of the ground, you cry out and you curl your fingers into Sam's shoulders. Sam winces more because of your scream of pain than the stabbing feeling where your fingernails are cutting into his skin.
Sam gently lays you down onto the stretcher, but when he turns around to talk to one of the paramedics, the other one begins to wheel you over towards the ambulance.
"No, stop, please!" you cry out causing Sam to turn around to look over at you.
"Leave her there," he says. "Please. Just until you get him out of the car and onto a stretcher himself."
"Fine," the paramedic says as she lets go of the stretcher.
Your eyes stay glued to the car and you can feel tears welling up in them when Sam reaches over to take your hand in his. "Dean's going to be okay," he tells you softly.
"I hope so," you whisper as you squeeze Sam's hand a bit. "He has to be."
Your heart drops when they finally drag Dean out of the car and onto the pavement. Tears fall over both of your cheeks as the paramedics surround Dean.
"Sam, what on earth are the doing to him?" you ask him.
"They're stabilizing him so that they can get him over onto the stretcher," Sam tells you softly.
"Stabilizing him?" you ask him.
"Mostly his neck just in case it's broke or something," Sam tells you. "They tried to do the same thing to you but you pushed them away."
"I did?" you ask him. "Oh my gosh. I don't remember doing that."
"It's okay," Sam tells you softly as he gives your hand yet another gentle squeeze. You were scared."
You nod and swallow hard. "I still am," you admit. "And I will be until Dean's okay."
Once they start rolling you towards one ambulance and Dean's towards another, you throw another fit.
"I want to be in the same ambulance as my husband," you tell them.
"Ma'am..."
"Please," you beg and you let the tears finally flow down both of your cheeks. "Please."
The paramedics share a look before nodding at each other and walking you both over towards the same ambulance.
"I'll see you two at the hospital," Sam tells you. "Please try to not cause an more problems."
And then the doors shut.
Groaning, you turn your head over a bit to look at Dean, and your hand automatically reaches across the empty space to find his hand. As your fingers wrap themselves tightly around Dean's, his eyelids begin to try to flutter open.
"Dean," you say and you give his hand a firm squeeze. "Dean, baby, please open up your eyes for me so that I'll know that you're okay." Dean's eyes open up just enough that you can see the gorgeous green orbs. You let out a sob and you nod your head a bit at him. "There you go," you tell him softly. "There you go, baby."
"(Y/N)," Dean chokes out.
"Yeah," you breathe out and you smile a bit at him. Yeah, it's me, baby."
"Wh-What happened?"
"We were in a wreck," you tell him softly. "They're taking us both to the hospital right now but you have got to.... No, no, no, baby. Open your eyes," you tell Dean as his eyes begin to slide shut.
"Can't," he mumbles. "So tired."
"I know, baby. I am too but you and me both have got to stay awake," you tell him. "Please, Dean." His eyes slide shut once more so you give his hand a hard squeeze. "Please," you sob out as tears flow down both of your cheeks. "Please, Dean Look at me. Please, baby."
"Tryin'," Dean mumbles a bit as his eyelids flutter a bit.
"Dean, I need you, baby," you choke out as you grip onto his hand a bit tighter.
"I'm right here, sweetheart," Dean slurs a bit.
"I need you to do something for me," you choke out. "You're always telling me that you'll give me anything that I want, and right now I only want one thing."
"Anything," Dean whispers as his body tries to fail him.
Tears well up  in your eyes as you swallow hard before telling him what you want. "Don't close your eyes." ~~~~~~~~~~
You groan as the overwhelming smell of too much disinfectant hits your nose. Your eyes try to blink open and even through the blurriness you can see your brother-in-law asleep in a chair by your bed. It takes a few tries to get your mouth to move, and once you do your voice is shaky and a little bit weak.
"Sam." Your arm tries to reach out towards him but you feel too weak to even move. "Sammy."
His eyes snap open and he sits up in his chair a bit when he sees that you're finally awake. "(Y/N)," Sam breathes out. "Oh, thank goodness you're awake. You scared us."
"Where's Dean?" you choke out.
A smile spreads across Sam's face as he points over towards the other side of the room. It takes every ounce of energy that you have to turn your head a little bit to the right. Your heart leaps in your chest as your eyes land on Dean laying in the other bed.
"I can't believe that you talked them into putting us both into the same room," you tell Sam.
He laughs a bit. "Actually, I couldn't talk them into it no matter how much I begged."
"What?" you ask him as you give him a funny look.
Sam takes a deep breath. "The nurses kept telling me that seeing you in the shape that you were in would just cause Dean's progress to go slower once he woke up. But of course, once Dean argued with them and told them that they better move him or he would..."
"D-Dean did this?" you ask Sam as tears well up in your eyes. "He's been awake?"
Sam nods his head a bit at you. "Dean woke up about four days ago and he's been worried sick about you."
"Four days ago?"
"Yeah," Sam nods.
"How long have I been out then?" you ask him.
He takes a deep breath. "Almost a full week."
"Oh my gosh," you breathe out as Sam stands up out of his chair.
"You were worse off than you thought but didn't know it because you were so worried about Dean being okay."
"Has he been taking care of himself even though he's been worried about me?" you ask him softly as tears well up in your eyes.
Sam chuckles a bit. "That was actually how Dean convinced the nurses to bring him into your room," he tells you. "He refused to eat unless they'd let you two be together and he promised to take care of himself as long as he was in the same room as you."
"He refused food for me?" you giggle softly. "Wow, he must love me a lot then because there isn't much that he'll give up food for."
"You're insane if you doubt how much that man loves you"
"I know," you whisper as a small smile spreads across your face.
"Hey, (Y/N)?"
"Yeah?" you ask Sam as you still stare over at Dean.
"What happened?"" Sam asks you. "I mean, you and him were supposed to be headed to my house for a cookout but when you didn't show up I got worried about you. I went out trying to see if maybe you broke down or something and I... found that. But what happened? Do you remember anything about the wreck?"
You shake your head a bit at him. "I was asleep," you frown. "I heard Dean holler out my name and then there was a crunching sound and the car was jerked around." You take a deep breath. "Has Dean said anything about it since he woke up?" you ask him.
"No," Sam breathes out. "Dean won't talk about what happened other than to ask if you're going to be okay. That's pretty much all that he's said since they brought him in here to be with you.
You nod and you take a deep breath. "I know that he's exhausted..."
"(Y/N), Dean would want to know that you're awake. Trust me on this," Sam smiles as he walks over towards Dean's bed. "Dude, wake up," Sam says as he moves Dean's shoulders a bit. "There's someone here to see you and you've been sleeping most of today anyways."
"Still tired," Dean mumbles.
"Well, okay then," Sam shrugs as he walks over to take his seat by your bed once more. "If you don't want to talk to your own wife then go ahead and sleep."
"What?" Dean asks as both of his gorgeous green eyes pop open. They widen when they land on you and you can feel tears well up in your eyes when you notice that Dean's are looking a little bit teary. "Sweetheart," Dean breathes out.
"Hi, baby," you smile.
"How long have you been awake and why did you not wake me up sooner?"
"I've only been awake for a few minutes," you tell him softly. "I promise, baby."
"I don't care," Dean says as he tries to push himself up into a sitting position. "How are you feeling?"
"I'm okay," you smile. "A little bit sore but relieved to see that you're alright."
Dean swallows hard as he stares over at you. After a few minutes, he moves to swing his legs over the side of the bed and he tries to stand up.
"Woah, woah. What do you think your'e doing there?" Sam asks as he rushes over towards Dean.
"I'm getting up to go see my wife," Dean tells him. "You've got a problem with that or something because even though I'm all bruised up right now just remember that I can still kick your butt."
"Do I have a problem with you standing up with a broken leg, three broken ribs, and a concussion? Yeah, I do," Sam tells him. "I will get that doctor in here to give you another lecture if I absolutely have to."
"Another lecture?" you giggle. "Dean, please tell me that you haven't been stirring up trouble."
"When is he not causing trouble for somebody?" Sam chuckles, getting a death glare from Dean in response to being a smart alleck.
"Well, then get me that wheelchair if you're not going to let me walk over there," Dean tells him.
"Or," Sam says slowly as he walks over towards your bed. "I have got an even better idea."
"Please don't set some kind of alarm off," you beg Sam as he begins to move your I.V. pole. "I've saw the nurse do this a couple of times," Sam tells you as he unlocks the brakes on the hospital bed.
"Be careful with her," Dean says as Sam pushes your bed over towards Dean. As soon as you're within arms reach, Dean reaches over and he takes your hand in his. A wide smile spreads across Dean's face and a peaceful feeling washes over you as Dean's fingers tangle up with yours. Sam locks the brakes in place and pushes your I.V. pole over some more. You turn your head a bit and you give Sam a grateful smile.
"Thank you."
"No problem," Sam smiles as he walks over towards the door to walk on out into the hallway. "I'm going to go get a cup of coffee and let you two have some time to yourselves."
"Alright," Dean nods. You turn your head to smile over at Sam as he walks on out of the room. You look over at Dean once more and he gives you a big smile.
"Has he gotten any sleep since we've been in here?" you ask him.
"I don't think so," Dean chuckles as he gives your hand a slight squeeze. "And neither have you, sweetheart."
"Well, apparently I was in a coma for almost a week so..."
"Being in a coma is definitely not getting some good sleep," Dean argues.
"Well, have you gotten any sleep at all then?" you ask him.
Dean takes a deep breath. "That little nap that I took before you woke up has been the longest that I've slept since I woke up."
"We all three need some rest then," you say and Dean nods his head a bit at you before bringing your hand up to his lips so that he can press a loving kiss to your knuckles. "What happened?" you ask him softly. "I was asleep and I don't remember anything other than you hollering out my name and the car jerking off to one side."
Dean swallows hard and he lets his eyes slide shut. "We were headed to Sam's house to hang out and eat burgers. There was a truck barreling down a side road and he wasn't going to stop either. I swerved a bit to miss him but the jerk hit us anyway and pushed us right into the path of an oncoming vehicle. I guess it must've knocked me out completely but apparently you were..."
"I was awake for a little while until they got you out," you tell Dean softly. "You woke up for a bit in the ambulance."
"I don't remember that," Dean frowns. "I do think that I heard you begging me to stay awake. You told me not to close my eyes and then that's all that I remember."
"Yeah," you choke out. "I must have passed out right after that then."
Dean gives your hand another squeeze and takes a deep breath. "Why don't we try to get some sleep?" he asks you softly.
"That sounds good," you whisper. Dean leans over as much as he can before pressing his lips firmly to yours in a loving kiss. He winces a bit as he lays down once more. "Take it easy," you tell him softly.
Dean takes a deep breath as he tries to relax against the mattress. "Tryin', sweetheart," Dean tells you as he lets his eyes slide shut once more. A horrible scene flashes into your mind of Dean being pinned in the car and you not knowing if he was okay or not. When you were in the ambulance with Dean and you were begging him to keep his eyes opened because you were afraid that he wouldn't make it to the hospital alive if he didn't. Now you're wanting him to keep his eyes open to keep those bad memories from flooding your mind.
"Dean."
"What, baby?"
"Just..." You stop and you swallow hard trying not to the tears stream down your cheeks. "Don't close your eyes."
"How am I going to go to sleep then?" Dean chuckles.
"I..." More tears slip over your cheeks and Dean frowns a bit when he sees that you're being serious and that this is affecting you so badly.
"Okay," Dean chokes out and he nods his head a bit at you. "Okay, baby." He brings your hand up to his lips and he presses a soft kiss to your knuckles. "Why don't you go to sleep first and I promise that I will keep my eyes opened and on you until you do. Okay?"
"Okay," you swallow hard and you take a deep breath as you give his hand a soft squeeze.
"I love you, sweetheart," Dean whispers out before you feel his lips gently brush up against your knuckles once more.
"I love you too, baby," you breathe out before you let the exhaustion finally take over.Tags: @mlovesstories @idksupernatural @alwayskeepfightingsweetheart @deans-baby-momma @lyssaholic @akshi8278 @defenderrosetyler @justanotherwinchester @campingmonkey @polina-93 @hobby27 @adoptdontshoppets @sunflowers-n-rocknroll @thoughts-and-funnies @lyarr24  @flamencodiva @deandreamernp @440mxs-wife

Daddy’s Boy

Summary: You and Dean have your first child together, and Dean has no choice but to be wrapped tightly around the little guy’s finger.

“Someone has Daddy’s eyes,” you breathe out as you stare down at the squalling baby laying in your arms.
Dean chuckles as he presses a kiss to your sweaty forehead. “And everything else is Momma’s.”
“Huh-uh,” you laugh softly. “This little guy stole his Daddy’s looks.”
“Well, hopefully his heart is like Momma’s then.” You smile softly at Dean as he leans over to press his lips firmly to yours. “Have I told you exactly how much I love you today?”
“Hm, I think that you might’ve mentioned it once or twice today,” you tease him.
“Well, I love you so much, sweetheart. You have no clue how proud I am of you,” Dean tells you as he reaches over to gently rub a thumb over your baby’s cheek.
“I couldn’t have done it without you being right here with me, Dean,” you tell him truthfully.
He smiles softly at you. “Like I’d be anywhere else.”
You laugh as you lean a bit more into his touch. “I love you.”
“I love you too, honey,” Dean smiles softly as the crying gets even louder. “Hey, little dude. Your Momma’s got you now. You’re alright.” The loud cries die down into soft hiccups as Dean whispers to your baby while he rubs his thumb over a tiny cheek. “Little guy needs a name.”
“Yeah,” you breathe out as you stare into your son’s eyes. You think about the names that you both agreed on. “I think that he looks like an Ethan.”
“Yeah,” Dean smiles. “I think so too. What do you think? You like your name?” Dean asks as he looks down at the baby, getting a yawn in response. “I’ll take that as a yes then,” Dean chuckles.
You look at Dean and give him a soft smile. “You want to hold him?”
Dean gives you a look. “You kidding me? I’ve been wanting to hold him ever since he was born.”
“Well all you had to do was tell me to hand him over,” you laugh as you slowly lift Ethan up so that Dean can take him.
“I wasn’t going to take him from you, sweetheart,” Dean tells you softly as he slips his arms underneath yours. “After what you just went through you deserve to hold him as long as you want to.”
You laugh softly as you carefully slip your arms out so that your son is now fully resting in his Daddy’s arms.
“Oh, wow,” Dean breathes out as he sits down on the hospital bed beside of you.
“Intense, isn’t it?” you giggle.
“Yeah,” Dean breathes out as more tears well up in his eyes. “Gosh, he’s perfect, sweetheart.”
“And he’s all ours.”
Dean swallows hard. “That’s a little overwhelming.”
“Hey, babe,” you whisper as you reach over to place a hand onto Dean’s arm. “We’ve talked about this, Dean. You’re not going to be anything like your dad. You’re going to be an amazing Daddy to this little boy.”
“Thanks, sweetheart,” Dean chokes out. “’S more than that, though. I mean, he’s ours. It’s up to us if he grows up happy and healthy, sure, but we also get to see this tiny little human being grow up. He’s a part of both of us and it’s all so… amazing.”
You laugh softly when you notice that Dean is absolutely mesmerized by your son. If there’s one thing that you know it’s that this little boy has got his Daddy wrapped tightly around his little finger.
“Why don’t you try and get some sleep, sweetheart?” Dean asks you softly. “Maybe you’ll feel up to some company when you wake up.”
“Okay,” you breathe out as you keep an eye on Ethan.
“Hey, I’ve got him,” Dean tells you softly as he reaches over to rub a thumb over your cheek. “He’s going to be okay.”
“I know,” you tell Dean softly as you give him a small smile. Dean leans over to press his lips to yours in a sweet, loving kiss as he wraps an arm around your shoulders.
“Me and Ethan will sit right here with you, alright?” Dean tells you before looking down at the baby laying in his arms. “Me and you are going to look over Momma aren’t we, little dude?” Ethan yawns and you and Dean both laugh softly at him.
“I think that that’s him telling you that you’re on your own, De.”
“I think so too,” Dean chuckles as he leans his head over against yours. “You two get some rest. You’ve had a tough day.”
“So have you, Dean,” you tell him softly. “You’ve gotta take care of yourself too, baby. You’ve been by my side letting me crush your hand for almost twenty hours and you’ve not gotten a bit of sleep.”
“I’m alright. Don’t worry about me, baby,” Dean tells you softly as he presses a kiss to your temple. “Go to sleep.” ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“I’ve got him, sweetheart,” Dean tells you softly as he gets up out of bed. He yawns as he walks over to the crib that’s set up by your side of the bed and he leans over it. The loud wailing that has been echoing throughout the room is now in Dean’s ear as he picks Ethan up out of his crib. “Shh, you’re alright,” Dean coos as he gently leans his son’s head over onto his shoulder. Dean looks down at you and you scowl at him.
“Dean, I love that you love our son but you can’t be the only one getting up to take care of him when he cries,” you tell him.
“Uh, you gave birth to him, so I think that I can handle losing a few hours of sleep,” Dean tells you as he walks around the bed and over towards his side. He gently bounces Ethan as he walks, and converts his movements to a gentle rocking as he sits down beside of you. Wincing, you pull yourself up in bed and you can’t help but to laugh a bit when Dean panics.
“Easy, Momma,” Dean tells you as he slings his free arm around your shoulders.
“I’m alright, babe,” you smile softly as you lean your head over against Dean’s shoulder. He turns his head a bit to press a kiss to your forehead, and he tightens his hold on the baby a bit.
“I love you,” Dean whispers.
“I love you too, Dean,” you tell him softly as you reach over to gently pull the blanket away from your son’s face. He looks over at you like he’s mad you interrupted being in his Daddy’s arms, and a wide smile spreads across your face. “I think that you’re his favorite.”
“Nah, little buddy only wants me to think that because he knows that between the both of us, I’m the biggest push over.”
You giggle as you gently run a finger over one of Ethan’s little cheeks. “He looks so content laying there in your arms, Dean.”
“Yeah, well, I feel pretty content when I’m holding him. Kind of like how I feel when I’m holding you.”
“I think that you’re getting sappy on me, Winchester.”
“Well, I’m only speaking the truth, honey.”
You frown a bit as your eyes drift down towards Ethan. “Why do you think that he’s been crying so much, Dean?”
“He’s probably not used to his surroundings yet,” Dean tells you softly. “I don’t think that he likes the bunker.”
“He’s a baby,” you laugh. “I think it’s because he wants to be in Daddy’s arms. You’re his favorite.”
“He’s a baby,” Dean mocks you as a wide smile spreads across his face.
“I know but he loves his Daddy.”
“If he can tell the difference between people then he can tell that he isn’t in some cozy little house.”
“Dean, we talked about this before we got pregnant,” you tell him softly. “It isn’t going to matter that our kids don’t grow up in a normal house as long as they know that they have a whole bunch of people who love them.”
Dean takes a deep breath. “I don’t want them to have the childhood that me and Sam had.”
“Honey, this might not be a fancy house with a picket fence and overly friendly neighbors who like to pry into our personal lives, but it is a home. It’s a lot nicer than some dusty motel room. Switching schools every other week and never getting to see their parents. That isn’t going to be our kids’ lives.”
Dean takes a deep breath. “So you honestly think that it’s because I’ve got him spoiled and it isn’t because he hates this place?”
“I honestly think so,” you tell Dean as you give him a soft smile. “He’s got you wrapped tightly around his little finger already.”
“Didn’t even take a week,” Dean mumbles as he stares down at your son’s face. Ethan’s already dozing off and you press a kiss to Dean’s shoulder.
“He isn’t going to like it when you have to start leaving to go on hunts.”
“Neither am I,” Dean tells you softly as he turns his head a bit to press his lips to your forehead. You let out a small laugh and Dean gives you a look. “What’s so funny?” he asks you softly.
“Nothing,” you smile. “I’m just thinking about how wrapped around this kid’s little finger you are and how worse you would have been if Ethan had been a little girl.”
Dean chuckles a bit as he looks down at your son. “This one’s gonna be bad enough but if we ever have a girl, that kid will never even have to lift a finger.”
“Kind of like their Momma,” you laugh, causing Dean to give you a funny look. “Dean Winchester, you absolutely spoil me sometimes.”
“Well, in case you haven’t noticed, I absolutely love you,” Dean smiles as he leans in to press his lips firmly to yours. Dean sighs before looking down at Ethan once more. “As much as I would love to sit here all night and hold him, I should probably go ahead and lay him down in his crib.”
“He’ll be alright if you want to hold him, Dean,” you tell him softly. “I don’t think that one night is going to make him want to be held like that every night.”
“No, it isn’t that,” Dean tells you softly. “You know that I don’t listen to the so-called parenting experts. I… I just don’t want him to roll over in the middle of the night or me drop him or roll over. If he got hurt because of me then I… I couldn’t take it, (Y/N).”
“I know,” you tell Dean as you frown a bit at him.
Dean swallows hard before he looks down at you. “Would you be against me putting him in his bassinet on my side?”
“of course not, Dean,” you tell him as you go to stand up.
“No, no. Don’t get up,” Dean tells you as he carefully moves Ethan over to lay in your arms. “I got it, sweetheart, you need to lay there and rest.” You roll your eyes a bit but you know that it isn’t just for show. You love how caring and overprotective Dean is of you and now your son.
“Promise that this is okay?” Dean asks you as he places the bassinet down on his side of your bed.
“I promise, baby,” you tell him softly.
“Because I know that you told me last night that you wanted the crib in here because you couldn’t stand waking up in the middle of the night and you not being able to see him,” Dean tells you as he leans over to gently take Ethan out of your arms.
“Dean, I promise you that it is fine,” you tell him softly as you give him an amused smile. “If I think that I’m going to get anxious by not being able to see Ethan then I can figure something out.”
Ethan lets out a squeaky cry as Dean lays him down. “I know. I know,” Dean coos. “We moved you around too much didn’t we? I’m sorry, kid.” Dean slowly lets go of Ethan as he still talks softly to him. “I don’t know what you’re crying for, buddy.”
“Because you’re not holding him.”
“He does not love me that much,” Dean scoffs playfully.
“Uh-huh,” you roll your eyes as Dean lays down beside of you once more. Dean reaches his left arm out and he lays his hand in the bassinet with Ethan. He rolls his head over to look at you before stretching his right arm out and smiling softly at you. Dean’s arm curls around you as you move in towards him and you lay your head over onto his chest. “Dean?”
“Hm?” Dean hums as he presses his lips to your temple.
“I can see him,” you tell him softly.
“Good,” Dean chuckles as he tightens his grip on you. “So this is okay?”
“This is okay,” you yawn as your eyes slide shut.
“Get some sleep, Momma,” Dean whispers as he rubs his hands up and down your arm. Dean falls asleep with you using him as a human pillow while his thumb on his free hand is being squeezed tightly by your son’s tiny fist. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“You’ll call me if you need me for anything, right?” Dean asks you as he swings his duffle bag over his shoulder.
“I’ll call you, Dean,” you laugh as you bounce Ethan a bit in your arms. Dean sighs as he looks down at the both of you.
“Maybe I shouldn’t go.”
“Dean, we’ve both talked about this and me and Ethan are going to be alright,” you tell him softly.
“Dean!” Sam hollers from down the hallway causing Dean to flinch a bit.
“I gotta go,” he sighs.
“I know,” you say and you give him a soft smile.
“You know that I’d take the both of you with us if I thought that we could make the hotel room safe enough,” Dean tells you.
“I know you would, honey,” you tell him softly. “But you’re only going to be a couple of hours away and it is only for tonight.”
“Hopefully,” Dean sighs.
“Dean,” Sam says as he walks around the corner. “Kiss your wife and lets go before you decide not to take the case.”
“Fine. Fine,” Dean grumbles as he leans in to press his lips firmly to yours. “I love you, sweetheart.”
“I love you too, Dean,” you smile softly at him as he leans down to press a kiss to Ethan’s little head.
“Daddy loves you, buddy,” Dean whispers softly to your content son. “Take care of Momma for me and be a good boy, alright?”
“He’s a month old, Dean. How much trouble could he possibly get into?” you giggle.
Dean gives you a look. “Sweetheart, there’s one thing that you’re underestimating here.”
“And what’s that?” you smile.
“The boy’s a Winchester,” Dean smirks causing you to laugh at him as you lean in to give him another kiss.
“Dean, I will drag you to the car and force you to go.”
Dean looks over his shoulder at Sam before scowling a bit at him. “Don’t get bossy with me.”
“Dean, he’s right. You should go on before you decide not to go on the hunt,” you tell him.
“Alright,” Dean sighs as he turns around to walk off. “(Y/N)…”
“Call you if I need anything at all. I know, Dean,” you smile softly at him. “We’ll be alright, baby.”
Dean nods his head and scowls when Sam reaches out to grab him. “Alright. Let go of me,” Dean rolls his eyes. You laugh a bit at Dean as he starts walking down the hallway backwards. You gently take Ethan’s little hand and wave it a bit, causing Dean’s frow to deepen.
“That doesn’t make me want to go.”
Sam grabs onto Dean’s shoulders and turns him around before shoving him forward. You can’t help but to laugh as you listen to the brothers argue as they walk down the hall. You press a kiss to Ethan’s head before you turn around to walk off with him. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Shh. It’s alright,” you soothe as you rock with Ethan. “I know that you miss Daddy too but you have got to get some sleep.” You sigh as the screaming in your ear gets louder.
“Everything alright?”
You look at the doorway to see that Cas is standing there. “I don’t know what’s wrong with him. He won’t sleep. All he does is scream,” you sigh as tears well up in your eyes. Cas walks over and he kneels down in front of you to place a hand gently onto Ethan’s head.
“There’s nothing physically wrong,” Cas tells you.
“He just misses Dean,” you sigh as you reach over onto the dresser to grab Ethan’s pacifier. He just spits it right out and you shrug your shoulders a bit. “I don’t know what to do with him.”
“I could help him sleep,” Cas suggest.
“No,” you breathe out. “Thank you for the offer, though, but I’m sure that he’ll cry himself out eventually.”
“Well, if you won’t let me help in that way then at least hand him to me so that you can get some sleep.”
“No, that’s okay.”
“(Y/N), Dean called me and asked how Ethan was. He told me to pry that baby out of your hands if I have to.”
You laugh a bit and nod your head as you hand Ethan over to Cas. “I’m not going to be able to get much sleep knowing that he’s this upset.”
“Well, it might do you some good just not having him screaming in your ear.”
“Yeah,” you sigh. You phone buzzes and you reach over to pick it up off of the dresser. You smile when you see you have a text from Dean.
Did you let Cas help you?
I’m walking out of the nursery right now.
Sighing, you look over at Ethan and smile a bit when you notice that his cries have calmed down some. “Thanks, Cas.”
“He’ll be fine,” Cas tells you softly. “Get some sleep.”
“I will try.” ~~~~~~~~~
“Dean, this is the third night in a row that Ethan hasn’t gotten any sleep,” you tell him as you try and balance the phone between your shoulder and your ear. You’ve got Ethan propped up on your other shoulder and you’re gently patting him with your hand trying to calm him down.
“I know, sweetheart,” Dean sighs into the phone. “I’m sorry, honey. I’ll pack up right now and Sam and I will…”
“No. You are not walking away from a case,” you tell Dean. “I’ll figure out something to calm him down.”
“I just hate that you’re having to do this alone,” Dean breathes out. “It was only supposed to be one day and then I’d be there with you. I promised you that it wouldn’t be like this.”
“It isn’t like that, Dean,” you tell him softly. “I know that I’m not alone and that you would much rather be here with us.”
“You better believe it,” Dean swallows hard. “I love the both of you so much.”
“We love you too,” you tell Dean as tears well up in your eyes. “I’m just so emotionally and physically exhausted right now, I… I don’t know how I expect you to help from hundreds of miles away.”
“Which is why I told you that I can be home in a couple of hours if you need me to be.”
“No, babe, we’re fine,” you breathe out. “I promise. I just needed to hear your voice is all.”
“Well, I told you, sweetheart, that you underestimated that boy,” Dean tells you and you can’t help but to giggle. “Like I said, he is a Winchester.” You wince when Ethan lets out a high-pitched squeal right in your other ear. “Uh, was that…”
“What? You thought that I was joking about that noise that he makes?” you ask him. Dean chuckles softly and a wide smile spreads across your face at hearing him. “Dean?”
“Hm?”
“Do you think that maybe hearing your voice will help to calm him down?”
“Sweetheart,” Dean laughs a bit. “Ethan’s a baby. I honestly doubt that he’s even going to know who’s speaking to him.”
“Would you be willing to at least try?”
“Of course,” Dean says and you can practically hear his smile over the phone. “I don’t mind talking to him, sweetheart, but I’m telling you that it is not going to do a bit of good.”
“We’ll see about that,” you tell Dean as you shift Ethan around and hold the phone down a bit so that he can hear. Ethan stares up at you with teary eyes and your heart breaks a bit. “Ethan, say, hi, Daddy.’”
“Hey, little buddy,” Dean says. Ethan’s eyes light up a bit and you smile widely.
“I told you that it would help,” you tell Dean.
“He’s still crying.”
“But he’s got his head turned towards the direction of your voice,” you tell Dean truthfully. “Keep talking, babe.”
Dean takes a deep breath. “Momma tells me that you’re not behaving, little man.” Ethan’s cries stop and he stares at the phone. “I miss you too but you have gotta be good for Momma. You let her get some sleep so that she won’t be so cranky.”
“Hey! I heard that!” you tell Dean.
“I know that, sweetheart,” Dean chuckles. You roll your eyes but smile when you notice that Ethan’s little eyes are sliding shut.
“It helped,” you tell Dean softly as you bring the phone up to your ear once more. “He’s almost asleep.”
“Good,” Dean smiles. “Well, I’ll let you go, sweetheart. So that you can get him taken care of.”
“Alright,” you breathe out. “I love you, Dean.”
“I love you too, honey,” Dean tells you softly. “Relax. Get some sleep.”
“That depends on your son.”
“Well, then you better behave, little boy,” Dean chuckles.
“He can’t hear you, babe. He is out of it.”
“Good,” Dean says. “I gotta go, sweetheart. Please let yourself rest and if Ethan gets to be too much, then you let Cas take over for a while.”
“He isn’t here right now but I’ve been letting him help.”
“Good,” Dean tells you.
“You’re stalling.”
“It’s just nice to hear your voice.”
“Same here, honey,” you smile. “Be careful.”
“I will try, sweetheart,” Dean tells you softly. “I love you.”
“Love you too, Dean,” you smile as you hang up the phone. Ethan lets out a loud wail when he realizes that he can’t hear his Daddy’s voice anymore. “Seriously, dude?” you sigh as you prop him up on your shoulder a bit. “You’re so rotten.” ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dean sighs as he drags his tired body down the hallway. The only thing that makes him feel like he has a bit of life left in him is when he hears your voice drifting from the nursery. Dean smiles a bit to himself and he stops so that he can listen to you singing. It isn’t something that you do often but it has gotten to be more normal since Ethan was born. Your voice stops and Dean stands there as you walk out of the room, pulling the door to enough that it blocks out the light from the hallway.
“Hey, sweetheart.”
You jump a bit when you hear Dean’s deep voice, and a wide smile spreads across your face as you turn around so that you can see him.
“Dean,” you breathe out before you take off running towards him. Dean wraps his arms tightly around you before pressing his lips firmly to yours.
“Little man asleep?” Dean asks you as he tucks your head underneath his chin.
“Yeah,” you mumble out into Dean’s chest as you cling tightly to him. “We both missed you.”
“I missed you both too, sweetheart, and I feel bad because you didn’t get much sleep without me here.”
“It’s alright,” you smile softly at Dean as you move your head a bit so that you can see his face. “I found something that could quite him down.”
“Good,” Dean tells you as he presses a kiss to your temple. “Let me go wash up, put on some clean clothes, and then I have got to get my hands on that kid.”
“Alright,” you smile. “I’m going to go lay down for a bit since Ethan’s asleep.”
“You deserve it, sweetheart,” Dean tells you softly before he softly presses his lips to yours. Dean walks off down the hallway towards the showers as you turn to walk across the hallway to your room. You drop your tired body down onto the mattress, and yet you can’t drift off to sleep. You look over at the baby monitor sitting on the nightstand by your side of the bed and take a deep breath. You’re able to hear Ethan’s soft snores and it brings a wide smile to your face.
When Dean walks into the bedroom after his shower with nothing but a towel wrapped around his waist, you shut your eyes and pretend that you’re asleep. You hear Dean walk over to the dresser and you pop an eye open. Dean lets the towel around his waist drop to the floor causing you to smile at the view. Dean turns his head to look over his shoulder at you before giving you a smirk.
“I know that you’re awake,” Dean says.
You giggle as you prop yourself up against the headboard. “I can’t help it if my husband’s hot.” Dean pulls on a pair of boxers and dark jeans before he turns around to face you. “This doesn’t help anything,” you tell Dean as you stand up off the bed and walk over towards him. Dean leans his head down to press his lips to your as you slowly run your hands up his chest and around to drape your arms around his neck.
“Babe,” Dean breathes out between the sweet kisses. “As much… as I would like to… continue this,” Dean places his hands onto your shoulders and he pulls you away a bit. “I have gotta get my hands on our baby boy before I go insane.”
You laugh and you nod your head a bit at Dean. “I understand that,” you smile softly at him. Dean flings his head from side to side, causing droplets of water that were hanging onto his hair to hit your face. “Dean!” you laugh as you slap a hand against his chest to stop him. Dean chuckles as he slowly lets go of you before trying to focus on getting dressed.
“Sweetheart, didn’t I have a flannel laying out somewhere?”
“Yeah, it was flung over the chair and you had told me not to wash it because it wasn’t dirty,” you tell him.
“Yeah, but it’s not there,” Dean says as he gives you a look. “Did you put it away?”
“Here,” you smile as you reach out to take Dean’s hand in yours. “I’ll show you where your shirt’s at.”
“Where are we going?” Dean asks you as if he’s a child going on some kind of exciting adventure. You pull Dean across the hallway and into Ethan’s room. “(Y/N), what…” Dean trails off when he glances over at the crib. His heart melts when he sees your son lying there wrapped up in the flannel that he was searching for.
“I couldn’t get Daddy’s boy here to calm down any other way than this,” you whisper as a soft expression settles across Dean’s face. “I was trying to think of things that I could try and Cas even offered to help, but I knew you said that we should keep him as normal as possible and we would only resort to that if it was an emergency, so I thought of what helps me when you’re not here.” Dean smiles softly as he reaches over to wrap an arm around your waist. “I always feel better when you’re not here and I wear one of your shirts, so I thought that it might help for Ethan too.”
“I’ve got you both so spoiled rotten,” Dean teases as he presses his lips to your temple. Ethan’s little eyes slowly open when he hears his Daddy’s voice, and a wide smile spreads across Dean’s face. “Hey, little boy,” Dean smiles as he lets go of you to lean over the crib. Ethan lets out a small noise when he sees Dean’s face, and Dean chuckles as he tucks him in tightly to his chest.
“Did he just gasp?” you ask him.
“That’s what it sounded like to me,” Dean chuckles. “Did my little man miss me or something?”
“I’m going to go lay down and let you two have your father son time,” you tell Dean softly.
“Alright, sweetheart,” Dean smiles as he turns his head to look over at you. “Try and get some rest because when I get little man here all talked out, then I’m going to be the one who gets to keep you up all night,” Dean says as he wiggles his eyebrows a bit at you.
“Behave,” you laugh as you turn to walk out of the room. You walk across the hall to your and Dean’s room once more and you lay down underneath the blankets.
“Hey, little buddy.” You smile when you hear Dean’s voice over the baby monitor. “Were you a little troublemaker when I wasn’t here? Momma says that you didn’t let her get any sleep. Is that true or is she telling things on you?” Ethan lets out a little squeaky noise and Dean chuckles a bit. “Yeah, that’s what I thought. She’s just telling things on you isn’t she? Momma doesn’t know how to handle us Winchester men, does she?” A wide smile spreads across your face as your eyes slide shut. “Now, as much as I’ve missed you I have missed Momma too. So I need you to go to sleep for me so that I can show Mommy exactly how much I have missed her.”
“Seriously, Dean?” you mumble as you roll your eyes a bit. Ethan lets out a loud squall that you could hear even without the baby monitor.
“Shh,” Dean desperately shushes him. “You’re alright, little dude. Daddy’s only going to be across the hall. Hey, you’ve got my shirt.” Ethan lets out another loud wail and Dean sighs. “Yeah, I guess that that isn’t as satisfying when you’ve actually got me here, huh?” You can’t help it when your heart swells a bit. Hearing your husband talk to your baby in such a soft, sweet voice is the cutest thing that you’ve ever heard.
“Yeah, there you go, buddy,” Dean coos. “You’re gonna be good now that Daddy’s here, aren’t you?” Ethan sighs and you can practically hear the smile in Dean’s voice as he speaks softly to your son. “There you go. Go on to sleep now.” After a few minutes, the door to your room opens up and Dean walks into the room, smiling softly at you. “Little man’s out of it,” Dean says as he walks over to the bed and lays down beside of you. “I guess that I’ve gotta learn how to share my shirts with two of you.”
“I guess so,” you giggle as you rest your head over onto Dean’s shoulder.
“Spoiled,” Dean chuckles as he wraps his arms tightly around your waist. He pulls you over before pressing his lips firmly to yours. “I have to admit, letting him sleep with that is a bit unsettling.”
“I know,” you sigh. “It was for me at first but then Cas volunteered to keep an eye on Ethan and that helped me a bit. He seems okay sleeping like that but all the buttons is what bothers me.”
“Eh, as long as it’s folded to where they’re not anywhere by his mouth, it should be okay,” Dean tells you as he moves so that he’s hovering over you.
“Dean,” you say and you put your hands against his chest.
“You okay?” Dean asks as he gives you a concerned look. “Are you too tired to…”
“No,” you laugh as you point at the baby monitor right before Ethan’s crying fills the room. “I could hear him whimpering and I knew the water works were about to happen.” Dean groans as he rolls off the bed before walking across the hallway once more. Dean gives it a few minutes to make sure that Ethan is going to stay asleep before he walks into your room.
“Okay, I think that he is out this time,” Dean chuckles as he moves so that he’s in that same position that he was in while ago before Ethan interrupted.
It doesn’t take but a few minutes before the kisses go from slow and sweet to desperate and heated.
“Why did you even bother with these?” you mumble against Dean’s lips as you unzip his jeans. “Sweatpants would’ve been a lot easier to get off you.” Dean chuckles as he leans his forehead over against yours.
“Because I honestly didn’t think that this would be happening,” Dean tells you softly. “I was afraid that you’d be too tired.”
“I’m never too tired to let my husband know how much I love him,” you say and you push Dean’s jeans down over his hips along with his boxers. He pulls away enough to kick them off before leaning over you once more.
You both try to stay quite as your hands roam over each other’s body. Your hands grip onto Dean’s biceps as he cages your head in with his forearms. Dean’s hot breath fans over your skin as he presses kisses to your neck.
The baby monitor roars to life and Dean groans as he drops his head down to your shoulder. You go to move Dean off of you but his hands grip onto you to keep you in place.
“I’ve got him, sweetheart,” Dean tells you softly before he leans down to press his lips sweetly to yours. He rolls off of you before walking over to the dresser and pulling on a pair of sweatpants. “Don’t move,” Dean tells you over his shoulder as he walks on out into the hallway.
“Hey, buddy, Daddy’s here,” you hear Dean say over the baby monitor. “Now, I know that you’ve been without me for a while and you’re missing me, but if you love me then you’ll let me have some alone time with Momma.”
“Do you seriously have to talk to him like that?” you breathe out, knowing that Dean can’t hear you on his side.
“Maybe if you behave then me and Momma can give you a little brother or sister.”
“Stop talking!” you holler loud enough so that Dean can hear you across the hallway.
“Oops, I think that Momma can hear me, little dude,” Dean chuckles. Your eyes slide shut and you let the sound of Dean’s voice soothe you as much as it is Ethan. You’re almost dozed off yourself by the time that Dean walks into the room.
“Now,” Dean smirks as he crawls over your body. “Where were we?”
“Dean?” you whisper as you both lay there wrapped up tightly in each other’s arms.
“If you’re going to say that that was amazing, then I have got to tell you that I completely agree, sweetheart,” Dean chuckles as he presses his lips to your hairline.
“Actually,” you breathe out. “I was going to ask if you were being serious while ago when you told Ethan about giving him a brother or sister.”
“Well, yeah,” Dean says as he gives you a strange look. “I mean, he’s a baby and he didn’t understand me at all, I know that. But, yeah, I want more kids with you if that’s what you’re asking me,” Dean tells you softly. “Do you?”
“I… I think so,” you breathe out as you give Dean a sad smile.
“Hey, what’s on your mind, pretty girl?” Dean asks you softly as he tightens his arms around you.
“Dean, I have always hated being here when you’re out hunting, but now you and I have a kid together, and I… I feel like I am constantly running through worse case scenarios in my head when you and Sam are on a hunt. It drives me crazy. Not to mention the fact that I need help. I mean, I know that Cas helps me when he can but it’s different. Sometimes I’m going to need my husband to help me. Not only because our little boy is absolutely crazy about you but you and I both know that there are some things that a husband and wife are supposed to face together. Like when he keeps me up at night because he’s teething, I’ll want you here with us for that. If Ethan has the colic then I’m not going to want Cas or even Sam to help me with that. When Ethan is running a fever or in pain, we’re going to need our husband and Daddy here.”
“I know,” Dean breathes out as tears well up in his eyes. “Which is why I’m giving up hunting.”
Your eyes widen a bit. “You’re what?”
“Sweetheart,” Dean says as he lets go of you a bit so that he can take one of your hands in his. He brings that hand up to his lips and he presses a kiss to your knuckles. “I’ve been thinking about this ever since you told me that we were parents,” Dean tells you softly, his lips softly brushing up against your knuckles as he speaks. “When you handed me that pregnancy test I started thinking that I can’t do this. I had to move us out of here and find us a home with a nice fenced in yard in a neighborhood where there were plenty of other kids. And then I told myself that I was just being dramatic. Me and you can pull this off.” Dean stops and he takes a deep breath. “And then these few days that I was gone all I could think about is how I should’ve listened to myself in the first place. I can’t do this. I can’t be a hunter and a husband and a dad. Those two later things on that list I am definitely not going to stop being,” Dean tells you, causing a big smile to spread across your face. “So the only title that I can drop is hunter. I think that me and you and little man across the hall should go find somewhere nice to live. What do you think, sweetheart?”
You swallow hard. “I think that I’ve just fallen even more in love with you then I have ever been. And I didn’t even know that that was possible,” you tell Dean.
Dean chuckles and he leans in to press his lips firmly to yours. “I can find a normal job somewhere and Ethan can grow up playing with other kids and he won’t have to keep asking where Daddy is at or why I have to go away all the time. I don’t want that for our son.”
“I don’t either,” you tell Dean softly.
“And I don’t want to be away from you either,” Dean tells you. “Gosh, I’ve missed you so much those few days that we were gone.”
“And I missed you, baby,” you smile as you bring a hand up to gently run your fingers through Dean’s short hair.
“How about tomorrow we see if Sammy will babysit for us, and you and me can go house hunting?”
“Dean Winchester? House Hunting?” you fake a gasp and Dean chuckles as he leans his forehead over onto your shoulder.
“I know. Hilarious,” Dean says as he rolls his eyes playfully at you. “I mean it, honey.”
“I know you do, Dean,” you giggle as you press your lips to his cheek.
“A big yard,” Dean says.
“Away from the road,” you tell him. “If he’s anything like you then we are going to have multiple heart attacks daily trying to keep him from going across the road after puppies or something.”
“We can fence it in if we have to,” Dean chuckles. “A big garage so that Baby will have a nice place to stay too.”
“There has to be a bedroom directly across the hallway from ours for Ethan,” you laugh. A loud cry echoes throughout the room and Dean gives you an annoyed look.
“He heard you say his name and it upset him,” Dean tells you.
“He couldn’t hear me,” you giggle as Dean gets up out of bed to go get Ethan. This time Dean carries Ethan into your room with him and you smile as Dean lays down beside of you, laying Ethan down onto his chest and pressing a kiss to your son’s head.
“Alright, little dude. Mommy and Daddy are both here so you’re okay now. I promise.” You rest your head over onto Dean’s chest beside of Ethan and Dean chuckles as he wraps his free arm tightly around you. “I think that Momma’s jealous,” Dean says in a teasing tone.”
“I am not jealous,” you giggle as you playfully punch Dean’s arm. Dean chuckles as he holds the both of you tightly to him and the three of you drift off to sleep. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
One Year Later
Ethan gasps and looks at you with wide eyes when he hears the garage door shut.
“Who is that?” you laugh as you help Ethan up off of the floor.
“Daddy!” Ethan squeals as he takes off across the living room on wobbly, toddler legs, dragging one of Dean’s flannels behind him so that it drags across the floor. You follow Ethan across the living room, into the kitchen, and over to the garage door as it opens. “Daddy!” Ethan squeals as he claps his hands and stomps his little feet.
“Hi, buddy,” Dean laughs as he picks Ethan up and presses a kiss to his head. “You miss me today?”
“Oh, he went around to every room looking for Daddy,” you giggle as Dean walks over to warp an arm tightly around your waist. Dean presses a kiss to your temple and he takes a deep breath.
“Little buddy is going to have to learn how to share me when little sister gets here,” Dean tells Ethan as he rests his hand over onto your stomach. Ethan lets his eyes slide shut as he lays his head over onto Deans shoulder. “I see that I’ve lost yet another flannel.”
“He got into the laundry basket while I was folding clothes,” you laugh.
Dean chuckles as he takes the shirt and wraps it around Ethan’s little body causing him to giggle in the high-pitched voice that causes both your and Dean’s hearts to melt. “Why don’t you go to Momma so that I can wash up a bit, alright?”
“No!” Ethan protests as he wraps hit tiny little arms tightly around his Daddy’s neck. “Daddy.”
“Alright, Daddy’s little boy,” Dean chuckles as he slowly lets go of you. “Then how about we go for a ride instead? How’s that sound, Momma?”
“That sounds like a good idea because then we can pick up something for dinner and I don’t have to cook.”
Dean chuckles and he nods his head a bit. “What do you think, little buddy, you hungry? You want a cheeseburger and some pie?” Dean asks.
“Pie!” Ethan squeals causing you to roll your eyes a bit at Dean.
“He is so your son.”
“Well, I hope so,” Dean teases as he begins to lead the both of you out the door and into the garage.
When Dean pulls up into the driveway, he looks over at you to see that you’re asleep. “Okay, little buddy,” Dean says as he turns around to see that Ethan is also asleep. Dean sighs and gets out of Baby before opening up Ethan’s door to get him out of his carseat. “Hey, will you walk for Daddy so that I can carry Momma?”
“Mommy?” Ethan smiles.
“Yeah,” Dean chuckles. “I’ve gotta carry Mommy so I need you to walk for me, okay?” Dean goes to put Ethan down and surprisingly doesn’t get an argument out of the deal. Dean walks around to your side of the car and opens up the door so that he can get you out. Ethan walks over to grab onto Dean’s leg before sitting down on top of his foot.
“Seriously?” Dean groans as he looks down at your son. “Do you expect me to walk with you like that?”
“Daddy,” Ethan giggles before he rests his head over onto Dean’s leg.
“Alright,” Dean sigh as he tries to walk with Ethan holding tightly onto his leg and holding tightly onto you. Ethan laughs as Dean struggles to make it to the front door without tripping or dropping you. “Gosh. The things that I do for you and Momma. I know that it isn’t going to be any better with your little sister either.” Ethan giggles loudly and Dean smiles widely, knowing that he wouldn’t have it any other way.

Oops
How mad would y'all be at me if I decided to hold off on the All I Want for Christmas sequel until next Christmas? I've been trying to finish it but now my mind is wandering to all of the series I started last year and didn't get done and honestly I'm just not in the Christmas mood now that it's over. I promise you it will be worth the wait and I'm going to try to put a lot of more stories out this year.

I am currently trying to write a sequel to All I Want for Christmas but I run a small craft business and I am getting a lot of orders in right now so I don't have a lot of time to focus on writing. If I have to post the story or at least parts of it after Christmas would anybody still be interested in it?

Take a Breath
Pairing: Cop!Dean x Reader
Warnings: Injury, Angst, Fluff
Word Count: 1,720
Square Filled: Cop AU
Summary: Dean gets injured while on the job and you aren't too happy when he's able to go in once more. You remind him to take a breath if he has to, but he thinks that you're just being overprotective. Little does he know that your advice might actually be something he should listen to.
A/N: This was written for @spnfluffbingo. Please let me know what you think!
Tumblr media
"Sweetheart, would you please stop fretting over me?" Dean asks as you help him dress.
You sigh as your eyes meet his. "Listen, I know that you were released for full duty but that doesn't mean that you still can't hurt yourself."
"Babe, it was a tiny bullet wound that barely even left a scar. I'm fine," Dean tells you as he reaches out to gently grab onto your shoulders.
"Well, the tiny bullet wound that has barely even left a scar also left my husband laying on the grass bleeding out and you would have if your partner hadn't got to you and got you help," you tell Dean as you give him a once over. "Maybe I should take another look at the wound."
"It isn't a wound anymore," Dean chuckles as you gently lift his shirt up and your hand gently skirts over the healing skin underneath his left ribcage. "Babe, I'm gonna be late and when I'm asked why I'm going to have to say because of my wife and you and I both know that that's going to put wrong thoughts in their heads."
"Stop," you laugh as you playfully slap at Dean's arm. "Just tell them that your wife is worried sick about you and you might need a few more days off."
"(Y/N)," Dean says as he grips onto your shoulders a bit more and gives you a soft smile. "Honey, I am excited to finally be on full duty."
"But you're still recovering."
"No, I'm not," Dean tells you softly. "Now I have loved being here with you these past few weeks. You have taken such good care of me. You've done such a good job that I'm all healed up now and you can stop worrying about me."
"Never," you breathe out as Dean leans in to press a kiss to your lips. "I know that it was an accident but I still want to get ahold of that man to tell him to be more careful with his firearms."
"(Y/N)," Dean chuckles.
"This isn't funny," you tell Dean as tears well up in your eyes. "I almost lost you because someone wasn't paying attention to what they were doing."
"Hey, don't get upset," Dean whispers as he presses a kiss to your head. "I don't want you to sit around here worrying about me today, alright? Call and talk to somebody. Go shopping. Go hang out with some of your friends. Whatever it takes to keep your mind occupied while I'm doing my job because knowing that you're okay is most important to me."
You sigh and you let your eyes slide shut. "Dean," you breathe out.
"What is it, baby?" Dean asks you as he presses yet another kiss to your head.
"I know that you're excited to finally be on full duty and that I have no clue what it's like out there doing your job so I probably have no business telling you this, but if things get to be too much today, take a breath," you tell him softly. "I don't want you to do what you normally do and bottle it all up. If things get to be too stressful for you you need to take a breath."
"(Y/N)..."
"Please," you beg and you give Dean a pitiful pout.
"Oh, now, sweetheart. You know that I can't deny that cute little face."
"I know," you smile and Dean chuckles as he leans in to give you another kiss.
"I promise," Dean tells you. "If things start getting to me or I start feeling my body wear down, I will take a breath."
"Good," you smile as you stretch up on your tiptoes to kiss Dean once more.
"But I won't need to," Dean tells you as he slowly pulls away.
"Now that doesn't make me too confident in your promise, Winchester," you tell Dean and you put your hands onto your hips.
"Honey," Dean sighs as he grabs his keys off of the table by the front door. "I'll be fine."
"You almost died."
"Please don't worry about me," Dean tells you as he pulls you in to tuck your head underneath his chin. "I'm alright," Dean whispers as he gently rubs his hand up and down your arm.
"I know," you sigh as you cling tightly to him.
"Alright," Dean sighs as he slowly pulls away once more. "I'll see you in a few hours, sweetheart."
"Okay," you sigh.
"I will call you if I pick up some overtime."
"No you won't either," you scold and cross your arms at Dean.
"(Y/N)," he sighs.
"You almost died."
"I know," Dean tells you softly as he reaches out to pull you in tightly to him. "I'll be okay, sweetheart."
"I can't lose you."
"You are not going to lose me," Dean whispers as he tightens his grip on you a bit. "I love you."
"I love you too, Dean," you sigh as you lean in to press your lips firmly to his. "Please take it easy. And please remember to..."
"Take a breath," Dean says and he gives you a wide smile. "I know, babe. You want me to write it down on some sticky notes and stick them everywhere so that I'll remember?"
"Just get going," you giggle. Dean chuckles as he lets go of you before walking on out of the house. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dean sighs as he hides his face in his hands. He can hear people asking him if he's okay, and yet the only thing that he can manage is a thumbs up. After the two hour stand off with someone who decided to lock themselves up in their house with a hostage, and a near shot to the head, Dean is feeling a bit overwhelmed by everything.
He should have listened to you this morning. He should have known that you were right and he couldn't handle full duty just yet. Especially when he hasn't been in for almost a month. Sure, his physical therapy sessions have been going good, but that's nothing like being out in the field where the action's at. he should have knows that you were right because you know him a lot better than he knows himself.
(Y/N) was right, Dean tells himself as he stares down at the ground.
After a few minutes, Dean stands up off of the curb and takes off walking. He knows that you're only a block away from him. He can make it just a few more feet.
You're curled up in the couch with a book in your lap when you hear the front door open. You jump a bit and you look over to see Dean standing there looking as stressed out as you were feeling this morning before he left.
"Babe?" you say and you lean over to lay your book down onto the coffee table. "Everything okay?" Dean just stares at you a while and your heart breaks when you see the tears in his eyes. "What do you need, honey?" you ask him softly.
Dean stares at you a while before responding in a choked up voice. "I just need to take a breath."
You open your arms for Dean and he walks over towards the couch. He takes a seat before leaning his head over onto your shoulder. You reach a hand up to gently run your fingers through Dean's hair.
"What happened?" you ask him.
Dean swallows hard. "If I tell you then you'll start wanting me to quit."
"I promise that I won't get onto that if you'll just tell me what happened, babe," you whisper. Dean takes a deep breath before turning his head a bit so that he can look you in the eyes.
"We got called out," Dean breathes out. "A guy and his neighbor weren't getting along and threats were made. When we got there this guy panicked and grabbed the neighbor's little girl before hunkering down in his house. Barricaded the doors and everything. The stand off lasted over two hours and I..."
"What? You what?" you ask him softly.
"I barely missed taking another bullet today."
You sigh and you let your eyes slide shut. "Where?" you ask him.
"To the head," Dean says so softly that you barely hear him. "I was sitting there on the curb thinking about the fact that you were right this morning and I should have listened to you."
"Dean..."
"It isn't time for me to start full duty," Dean tells you softly. "I panicked today and it could have gotten someone hurt." Your heart breaks when you feel a tear hit your shoulder.
"Alright," you soothe as you move so that you're halfway laying down. Dean moves his head to your lap as he spreads out on the couch. You glance out of the window and frown when you don't see the car. "Dean?"
"Hm?" Dean hums as you gently runs your fingers through his hair once more.
"How did you get here?" you ask him.
"I walked," he breathes out. "I just... I just needed to get to you."
"Does your boss know?"
"He'll find out," Dean says.
"Babe," you say and you can't help but to laugh a bit at him. "Shouldn't you at least call and let them know what happened?"
"Like I said," Dean tells you softly. "They'll figure it out eventually. The only thing that I need to do right now is..."
"Take a breath," you say and Dean nods his head a bit at you. "Alright," you smile as you move a bit so that Dean's head is resting on your shoulder once more.
"Don't let me crush you," Dean tells you softly.
"I won't," you say and you press a kiss to Dean's head. "It feels nice, actually. You don't let me take care of you much."
"I had to these past few weeks."
"Yeah, but in general," you tell him softly. Dean sighs contentedly as your fingers start playing with his hair once more and he lets his eyes slide shut.
"This is nice," Dean breathes out as you feel his body relaxing a bit.
"Dean?"
"Hm?" Dean hums.
"Thanks for listening to me when I told you to take a breath," you tell him softly. "I worried about you today."
Dean's eyes pop open and he smiles softly at you. "Sweetheart?"
"Yeah?" you breathe out.
"Thanks for being there for me when I need to take a breath."
You smile widely at Dean as he relaxes against your once more. "No problem, babe," you whisper. "That's sort of my job."

Summary: Dean gets injured while on the job and you aren't too happy when he's able to go in once more. You remind him to take a breath if he has to, but he thinks that you're just being overprotective. Little does he know that your advice might actually be something he should listen to.

You pull the curtain away and immediately glare at the patient laying on the hospital bed. He nods his head at you in greeting and gives you a wide smile.
"So you are the hot nurse who is going to be taking care of me for today," Dean grins. "You know, I would have waved at you when you walked in, but as you can see I'm in a bit of a situation," Dean tells you as he nods down to where his right arm is holding his left arm that is obviously broke.
"Dean, why are you here?" you ask him as you walk over to start your inspection.
"Rugaru," he smiles. "I kinda got thrown against the ground sort of hard. Think that the sucker dislocated my shoulder."
"More like broke your arm."
"Ah, it isn't broke- Ah!" Dean hollers when you touch his left arm around his elbow.
"A dislocated shoulder hurts that bad all the way down here?" you ask him with a knowing grin on your face. "Alright," you sigh. "I will get an x-ray set up for you but you have got to stop visiting me in here like this, Winchester.”
“Hey," Dean says and he gives you a proud grin. “This is the fourth time that I've been in here so far this month."
"Yeah, and?" you ask him.
"So that means that I've broken my record already of three times over the past two months."
"Winchester, you amaze me," you laugh as you fail to keep the scowl on your face.
"You amaze me too, sweetheart," Dean chuckles as he leans in to give you a kiss.
"Let me go get those x-rays in line for you and you sit here and behave."
Dean smirks at you. "If I behave then do I get a lollipop?"
You can't help but to laugh a bit at him. "Maybe," you smile. "Or you might get a lot more than that once that arm heals."
"Oh," Dean smiles as his eyes widen a bit at you. "Well, in that case, my arm is completely fine."
"Your arm is completely broken,” you laugh as you point a finger at Dean. "Sit still and I will go get that taken care of."
Dean nods his head a bit at you and you turn to walk on out of the room. Dean sits up on the bed and he holds tightly onto his injured arm, trying to keep it still. When you walk into the room he smirks at you and you try to keep an upset act with him.
"Let's see what other damage has been done," you tell Dean as you walk over to him and you start ripping his shirt away.
"Buy me a drink first," Dean smirks at you and you reach over to slap his head. "Ow," Dean says dramatically. “Don't you know that it's unprofessional to hurt your patients, sweetheart?"
"And don't you know that it's unprofessional to keep walking into the E.R. with broken bones?" you ask him as you start moving your eyes over every inch of his bare skin. "Dean," you sigh when you find the bullet wound under his right ribs. "Seriously?"
"It grazed me," Dean says and he rolls his eyes a bit at you.
"You're all bruised up too."
"Well, it's a good thing that I know an amazing nurse then, isn't it?" Dean says and he gives you a boyish grin.
"Well, if you ever have ghost trouble I sort of know an amazing hunter," you say and you smile a bit at Dean. "Although he does get hurt a lot."
"Ow," Dean breathes out as you gently run your fingers over a bruise on his shoulder. "Hey," Dean tells you softly as he reaches his right hand out to gently take your hand in his. Your eyes meet Dean's and he gives your hand a soft squeeze. "I'm alright, sweetheart."
"Your arm is broken."
"It's fine."
"The next time it might not be fine, Dean," you tell him . "What if it's a broken rib or a punctured lung or a broken neck?"
"(Y/N)..."
"Dean, we both agreed that if your job as a hunter got to be too dangerous then you'd stop."
"I know," Dean sighs. "But it is not more dangerous than it was before I met you and I can handle it."
"But I can't," you choke out as tears well up in your eyes.
"Babe," Dean breathes out as he carefully pulls you down to sit beside of him on the hospital bed.
"This is the fourth time this month," you tell him. "That's an average of two visits each week."
"I could get hurt doing anything else too," Dean tells you softly. You pout and Dean chuckles as he leans over to press a kiss to your head. "I promise to be more careful when I'm on a case."
"Fine," you sigh. The doctor walks into the room and you pat Dean's leg. "X-ray time," you tell him.
Dean smiles softly at you. "Will you be there to hold my hand?"
"No, big baby," you giggle.
Dean pouts. "Will you at least be here in my room when they get done with me?"
You smile at Dean. "I will see what I can do?"
"Alright," Dean chuckles as you lean down to give him a kiss before they take him off to get his arm x-rayed.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Good as new," Dean smiles as the doctor finishes up his cast.
"Yeah," you smile. "But you'd stay that way if you would stop getting hurt."
"I have to agree with your wife on this matter," the doctor tells Dean. "You sure do make a lot of trips in here, Mr. Winchester."
Dean chuckles and he nods his head a bit. "Yeah, well, my wife won't pay enough attention to me at home so I have to get it somehow."
"Ha ha, you're hilarious,” you tell Dean and he smirks at you.
“Well, she's going to have to pay a lot of attention to you over these next few weeks," the doctor tells him. "You're going to have to give that arm of yours a break."
Dean smirks. "I sort of already did."
"Dork," you giggle. "You know what he meant by that."
"Yes, I do, but I have to be a smart alleck," Dean chuckles and you roll your eyes a bit at him. "Don't worry, Doc. I'll have the hottest nurse in this hospital taking care of me. I think that I'm going to be just fine."
Your cheeks turn red at Dean's words and you can hear the doctor laughing as he walks out of the room.
"Be honest," you tell Dean. "Was there a part of you that just absolutely had to word it like that?"
"Duh," Dean chuckles as he motions at you to sit down beside of him once more. Dean wraps his right arm around your waist and he pulls you in to press a kiss to your temple. "Have I ever told you how hot you are in those scrubs, Nurse Winchester?"
"I believe you have," you say and you give Dean a wide smile. "But, please, go on."
Dean chuckles and he nods his head a bit at you. "I love you, baby."
"I love you too, Dean," you tell him but you lean away from him when he tries to kiss your lips. "I love you and you should know that I want to continue to love you but you have to stay alive for me to do that."
"I think I know where you're headed with this," Dean chuckles. "I promise you, babe, I will stop hunting if you want me to."
"No, Dean," you tell him and you rest your head over against his shoulder. "I don't want you to stop doing the thing that you're meant to do. I just..."
"Want me to be more careful and quit getting hurt so bad."
"Exactly," you tell him. "Do you think that you will be able to manage that?”
Dean smirks at you as he turns his head a bit so that you can see his face. "I think that I can manage that. Do you think that you'll be able to manage me for a few weeks?"
"Oh yeah," you smile and you nod your head a bit at Dean. "I think that I can manage that."
"Oh, I know that you'll be able to manage that," Dean tells you. "Because you're awesome."
You giggle and this time when Dean leans in to kiss your lips, you don't pull away.
Request by @prettysourabbie: Can I request a Dean Winchester x shy reader where she stuck on the side of the road and he pulls over to fix the car and he keeps flirting with her which makes her blush and somehow with your beautiful way to write a story they kiss at the end ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Summary: When a stranger pulls over to help you after your car breaks down, you’re not sure if you should trust him or not.
A/N: This was written for @spnfluffbingo. Please let me know what you think!
Tumblr media
“No, no. Please not this,“ you plead with your car as you coast it over to the side of the road. Your car’s been reliable ever since you bought it, and now it’s going to give out on you when it’s snowing and five below outside. "Stupid piece of junk,” you complain as you sit and try to figure out what to do. You reach over to grab your phone, but that’s when you remember that you left it at home on the charger.
You want to bang your head against the steering wheel. How can you be so careless especially in weather like this? You grab your jacket from the passenger’s seat and wrap it tightly around you. Your only options are to sit here and freeze, or take off walking and freeze trying to find someone to help you. Either way, you’re gonna freeze.
“No, no. Please not this," you plead with your car as you coast it over to the side of the road. Your car's been reliable ever since you bought it, and now it's going to give out on you when it's snowing and five below outside. "Stupid piece of junk," you complain as you sit and try to figure out what to do. You reach over to grab your phone, but that's when you remember that you left it at home on the charger.
You want to bang your head against the steering wheel. How can you be so careless especially in weather like this? You grab your jacket from the passenger's seat and wrap it tightly around you. Your only options are to sit here and freeze, or take off walking and freeze trying to find someone to help you. Either way, you're gonna freeze.
Sighing, you decide to get out and at least see if you could find a house within the area. You open up your car door but stop when headlights shine on you. Glancing over your shoulder, you can see a black car pulling up behind you. Your first instinct is to run but you know that you won't get anywhere when a man gets out and starts walking towards your car.
"Ma'am, may I help you?" he asks you kindly.
You take a deep breath. "No, thank you. I can handle this," you tell him. Your heart is racing a bit and yet you don't have the instinct to take off running. Well, not right now anyways. The man can sense your intimidation so he stops walking.
"You having car trouble?"
"I promise you that everything's okay with me. I don't need help," you tell him, hoping that he takes the hint and leaves you alone.
"Ma'am, I know that I'm probably creeping you out but I promise you that I'm not going to hurt you. Whether you believe that or not is up to you but it's the truth."
You take a deep breath. "Do you have a phone that I could borrow?"
"I do, but if you're going to call a tow-truck I doubt that they'll be any that they can send out to help. Not in weather like this. They're probably all on the roads already."
"Perfect," you mumble.
"Hey, my name's Dean," he says as he walks over towards your car a bit more. "Do you mind telling me your name?"
"(Y/N)," you sigh.
"Well, (Y/N), you're not hurt?"
"No," you tell him. "I'm alright. My car stopped is all."
Dean takes a deep breath. "Okay, I get that you don't know me and you're a bit uneasy about this, but I can help you."
"I don't..."
"Okay, here's the deal," Dean tells you as he holds his phone out towards you. "You can sit there in your car and you can call whomever you need to to drive you wherever it is you need to go. I will see what's going on with your car here, and if you feel threatened or uncomfortable because of me in any way you call the police. Alright?"
"Fine," you sigh. "But this is only because I literally have no other options here."
"Good," Dean smiles as you take his phone from him. "If I may ask you, where were you going?"
You sigh and take a deep breath. "To a family obligation that I didn't even want to be at in the first place."
"Well, I guess that we should be careful what we wish for then, huh?" Dean teases as he throws a wink your way. A blush spreads across your cheeks and Dean chuckles a bit. "My, you sure are a shy little thing, aren't you?"
"With people I don't know," you tell him. You're insane for talking to this stranger. You know that. With no other people around in case he turns out to be a psycho or something, it's a risk. But, somehow, you know that it's one you are willing to take. Dean makes you uneasy and yet his kind demeanor puts you at ease all at once. You can't describe it, but you can at least take his advice and just see where this goes.
"Dean!" you holler at him as you stick your jacket out the car door. "You might need this. It's freezing out here."
"I doubt that that would fit me, sweetheart," Dean chuckles. "But thank you, though."
"You could drape it over your shoulders if you need it," you tell him, noticing that the only outerwear he has on is a thin jacket.
"It's alright. You keep it," Dean smiles at you. "You'll need something to keep you warm too."
"Alright," you sigh before shutting the door and locking them. Your mind keeps telling you that this is a bad idea. This goes against everything that you've been taught about interacting with strangers. And then there's something that's putting you at ease about this man.
Dean looks at you through the front window before giving you another wink. Okay, he definitely knows what he's doing to you. Dean motions at you to pop open the hood, so you reach down to pull the lever. Taking a deep breath, you borrow down underneath your jacket to keep warm, but it's not helping.
After a few minutes, the snow is so heavy that you can't see through it. When Dean knocks on your window it startles you a bit.
"I hate to say this, but I don't think that either of us are going anywhere right now," Dean tells you as you open up your door to talk to him. "Especially you."
"What's wrong with it?" you ask him.
"I think that your alternator went out."
"That's bad, isn't it?"
"Well, it depends on the extent of the damage but I can't see anything in this snow," Dean tells you as he points towards his phone. "You call anyone?"
"I don't exactly have anybody to call," you frown.
"Well, it's freezing out here so why don't we go to my car to warm up?"
"Um, no thank you."
Dean laughs a bit as his face softens. "Well, my car at least has heat but if you want to sit here and freeze, then be my guest," Dean tells you as he stands there and stares down at you.
"I will be okay sitting here by myself," you tell him. Dean stands there and now he's getting on your nerves a bit. "Okay, Dean, you're not helping yourself seem any less sketchy."
"I'm just trying to tell you that either you can sit in my car and the both of us can keep warm, or we can both freeze to death."
"You are not going to stand there holding my door open until I give in," you tell Dean.
"I'm not?" Dean asks you as he crosses his arms across his chest and leans his body up against the door.
"I don't feel comfortable getting in a car with you, Dean. I don't even know you."
"Then you can get in there by yourself," Dean tells you.
"Seriously?" you sigh. "Why are you so stubborn? I didn't even ask for you to help me, you know. And now you are trying to be like my mother or something. I'm fine where I'm at."
"I'm being so stubborn because I think that you're too cute to freeze," Dean smirks. "But if you insist on freezing to death then I might as well join you."
You let out a cold breath of air. Yeah, you're cold right now. So cold that you can't feel your nose or your hands. But is it worth getting into a car with a stranger?
"Don't be shy," Dean smirks.
"Fine," you sigh and Dean moves out of your way so that you can get out of your car. "Happy?" you ask him.
"Almost," Dean smiles before he leads you over to his car and opens up the passenger side door. He motions at you to get in and you sit down before he shuts the door. Dean walks around to the driver's side and gets in. "Here," Dean tells you as he takes his coat off and tries to wrap it around you.
"I'm alright," you tell him softly as you push the jacket over towards him. "You'll need it to keep warm too."
Dean rolls his eyes before wrapping the jacket around his shoulders and then pulling you in to his side. You try and lean way from Dean's touch, but he tightens his grip on you a bit.
"Please don't be so stubborn that you freeze up," Dean tells you softly. "I promise that I'm not trying to make you uncomfortable here, but I honestly do not want you to get frostbite on me or something. You're too pretty."
And there goes your cheeks warming up once more. "Thanks," you breathe out. "Normally I'd make some sort of similar comment, but I don't think that I'm comfortable flirting with a stranger."
"You know," Dean tells you as he moves in once more to wrap you both up in his jacket. "Technically I'm not a stranger to you anymore."
"You're not?" you ask him.
"Nope," Dean smirks. "I mean, we know each other's name. You know the fact that I obviously know my way around a car."
"Okay," you smile.
"And also, you know that I obviously know how to make cute girls blush," Dean says, his eyes lighting up a bit when he sees your face. "See? Like that!"
"Hush," you laugh as you try and fight the urge to hide your face in your hands. Dean smiles a bit as he keeps his left arm loosely draped around your shoulders. "Thanks for taking a look at my car."
"It's no problem," Dean smiles. "Maybe I can do more for ya when the snow lets up a bit."
"Which it might not do for a while."
Dean takes a deep breath. "You said that you were heading to a family obligation?" he asks you.
"Yeah," you breathe out.
"Well, is there somebody that you need to call to let them know that you're not going to be there?" he asks you. "Unless you want me to drive you because I don't care to."
"No for both of those," you tell him. "Nobody needs to be driving in this weather, and nobody is going to be missing me at that party."
"Oh," Dean frowns. "Why were you going?"
"Mom made it mandatory," you scoff a bit. "Some big company that my Dad is trying to partner with was supposed to be there and she was wanting to make a good impression or something. Give them the impression that we're a perfect family. I'm probably disowned now."
"Or you could call her and let her know what's going on."
You laugh a bit. "Would it be awful If I said that I kind of don't care?"
"No," Dean chuckles. "It wouldn't be awful. I get it, sweetheart." Dean stomach growls, causing you to laugh a bit at him. "Sorry," he mumbles. "Skipped lunch."
"It's alright," you giggle. "Actually, I have something that might help a bit."
"(Y/N)," Dean says as you open up the door and get out of Dean's car. "(Y/N)! You're gonna freeze!"
"I'll be okay," you tell Dean before running over to your car.
Dean sees you running and he starts mumbling to himself. "Don't run, (Y/N). You're gonna..." Dean flinches a bit when you fall. He gets out of the car and carefully walks over to you. "(Y/N), you okay?" Dean chuckles when he hears you laughing.
"Yeah," you blush. "Gosh, I should've known better than to run like that."
Dean reaches a hand down to help you up and he carefully pulls you up to your feet. "Good?" he asks you as he helps you to brush the snow off of you.
"Yeah, I'm good," you smile before reaching over to open up the passenger side door of your car. "That party that I was talking about, I had volunteered to cook a bunch of stuff for it," you tell Dean as you pull out a bunch of plastic containers. "The catering company that they normally hire was snowed in so Mom asked me to fix some stuff."
"Jackpot," Dean says as his eyes light up. He reaches over to take a few containers from you and you both carry them over to Dean's car.
"I can't feel my hands," you tell Dean as you both get in the car and shut the doors.
"Your nose is red," Dean chuckles as he smirks a bit at you. "Your cheeks are too now."
"Stop," you laugh. "You're a troublemaker, Dean."
He winks at you before pulling the lid off of one of the containers. "Mmm. That smells good."
"Here," you tell Dean as you hand him a spoon.
He takes it from you before giving you a funny look. "Uh, is this like a giant's spoon or something?"
"It's a serving spoon, moron," you laugh. "It's all I've got but it'll have to do."
Dean shrugs before taking a bite of the soup. "Ow," Dean mumbles as he brings hand up to his mouth.
"Food's hot."
"Yeah, thanks for telling me that now that I can't feel my tongue," Dean chuckles.
"Well, my line of thought was that you're a grown man and you could see all the steam."
"Yeah, no, logical thinking goes out of the window when I'm hungry," Dean says, causing you to laugh and you nod your head a bit at him.
"Noted," you smile.
You still don't know why you're letting yourself get so comfortable around Dean. There's just something about him. Dean starts talking to you as the both of you eat and you feel yourself relaxing, which is something that you haven't done in forever.
"No wonder you don't care whether you go to that party or not," Dean tells you. "Your family sounds like they're a bit crazy to me."
"That's the nice way of saying that," you laugh. "So you have your own garage here in town?"
"Yeah," Dean smiles. "Only getting started but I'm getting there."
"Well, no wonder you knew what you were doing with my car then," you smile.
Dean looks over at one of the containers and you see his eye slight up. "Is that pie?"
"Apple cinnamon."
"Gimme," Dean says. You laugh and hand it over to him. "You're a good cook."
"Thanks," you breathe out. "At least I know that I can read a recipe." Dean chuckles as he nods his head a bit at you.
"Well, it looks like the snow is letting up a bit, so I'm gonna go see what I can do with that car of yours."
"Alright," you smile as you go to open up the door.
"Huh-uh," Dean says as he reaches over to gently pull you into the car and situates his jacket over your shoulders. "Stay here where it's warm. Don't need two of us freezing out there."
"Dean, you'll need your jacket."
"Too constricting. Hard to move around in," Dean says before he gets out of the car and shuts the door behind him. Dean walks over to your car and you can see him as he gives it a weird look. He walks over to his car and you know what he's going to tell you. "I can't do anything for it tonight, sweetheart," Dean tells you as he takes his place behind the wheel. "Why don't you get out whatever you need from your car and let me take you home?"
An hour ago and you would have said no. But now you are trusting Dean a bit more.
"Okay," you smile. "I don't think that there's anything in it that I need."
"Alright," Dean smiles as he begins to pull away from the side of the road. "I'll have it towed to my garage tomorrow if you want me to."
"Okay," you smile. You direct Dean to your house and he pulls into your driveway.
"You didn't turn your porch light on?" he asks you.
"The street lights are on," you tell him.
"Still too dark for a young woman to be walking home by herself."
"Dean, it's literally five feet," you giggle.
"Huh-uh. I'm a gentleman," Dean tells you as he gets out of the car and walks over to your side. He opens up your door and reaches a hand in to help you up.
"Thank you, Dean," you smile as you let him take your hand and he pulls you up out of the seat.
"Is there anywhere else that you needed to go tonight?" Dean asks you as he walks you up to your front porch.
"No," you smile at him. "I think that I'm going to curl up on the couch with a movie."
"Good plan," Dean chuckles. "I'll call you tomorrow when your car gets there."
"Okay," you tell him. "Oh, and you let me know how much I owe you for this."
Dean smirks at you. "Eh, let's call it a gift from your new friend."
"Dean..."
"I'm not taking no for an answer," Dean tells you as he holds his hands up at you.
"Well, there's absolutely nothing that you want as a thank you?" you ask him in a teasing tone.
Dean chuckles a bit. "Isn't the motto give not receive?" he asks you. "I'm doing this as a favor to you."
"So there isn't one thing that you want? you ask him.
Dean smirks a bit at you as he nods his head. "Well, there might be one little thing that I want."
"And what's that?"
Dean reaches out to gently grab onto both of your arms with his hands. Your heart starts racing a bit as Dean pulls you in tightly to him. He stares at you a while before slowly leaning in and pressing his lips firmly to yours. You wrap both of your arms tightly around Dean's neck as your lips move in sync. He pulls away a bit before resting his forehead over against yours and looking you in the eyes.
"(Y/N)?"
"Yeah?" you breathe out.
"There wasn't anything wrong with your car that I couldn't have fixed tonight," Dean tells you softly. "I just wanted to drive you home."
Your cheeks start feeling warm once more and a small laugh escapes past your lips. "Well, I have to say that I am glad that you made that decision."
"Yeah?" Dean asks you.
"Yeah," you smile softly at him.
"You're cute when you get all shy like that," Dean chuckles.
"Well, it doesn't help that you keep saying things to make me blush," you tell him.
"Tell me why I would want to stop," Dean smirks. "I will fix your car first thing in the morning, okay?"
"Okay," you smile. "And thank you."
"No problem, sweetheart," he tells you softly. "All I ask is that I get to kiss you goodnight."
You smile widely at Dean. "I think that we can manage that."
Dean chuckles as he leans in to press his lips to yours in a softer kiss than the first one. His hands find their way to your waist as he holds you tightly to him.
"Goodnight, sweetheart," Dean smiles as he pulls away from you a bit.
"Goodnight, Dean," you breathe out. Dean gives you a wink, causing you to blush, and he chuckles as he turns to walk off of your front porch. Maybe your car breaking down on the side of the road wasn't such a terrible thing after all.
