so let’s say this alternate universe reveals that elias is actually transgender, and would present/identify as female if they had the opportunity to figure themself out and transition (elias was reportedly very young when jonah possessed them)

as a trans person myself, even though the real elias was dead the dysphoria that idea gives me is absolutely unreal, and really creeps into serious body/existential horror territory which i think would be really interesting and very in-character for a writer like jonny to explore.

SJM doesn't care her fandom's reaction to MC's of her uncoming book

I don't think the e/riels realize that SJM does not care if people would be upset about the characters of the upcoming book, hence, she doesn't need to or isn't "soft launching" anything to "calm the fandom" or "ease" whatever.

Nesta was hated by 90% of the fandom, literally many people were upset that the book wasn't Feyre/elain's, but SJM did not care. She announced and released the book as she did her others.

Literally Chaol was such a hated character and AFTER THE EMOTIONAL TURMOIL that EOS was, she did not gaf her fandom's reaction would be for not getting further story and a book about a disliked character. She launched her book as she did others.

New readers might expect online hints, but we all know SJM =/= Taylor swift, she doesn't interact with her fandom and hence trying to find hints outside the book is simply futile.

SJM knows her fandom and that is why she left it; she knows that ANYTHING about acotar is psychoanalyzed and even after that you think her company or her would make other companies "soft launch" and lose their chance to do marketing and cash grabbing then well that's on you.
