i don’t know what it was called, but in 8th grade english we watched a series of vocabulary videos, and one of them involved a little silly song the guy sang- ‘i’m so nefarious and that means i’m evil’

i remember it perfectly and try to live by that to this day

Odypen definitely and equivalently adore each other BUT I weirdly can't see them as the type to actually say "I Love you".

They still definitely vocalize their love for each other but it's more so in "My Joy", and "Extraordinary Woman", "Strange Woman/Man", etc. And very cheesy lines (both say some cheesy shit in the Odyssey, and he definitely does in the Iliad as well. "Joy like a drowning sailor seeing land" bit???)

I could see "I adore you" but even then, that's probably during very specific moments but the actual "I love you"??? I just typed it just now for fic shit and... It weirdly just didn't feel right and I don't know why. 😅

Idk maybe it's kind of because I see them as over the top in ways, they love wordplay and riddles and I think they'd almost think "...That's not good enough >:( " about it??? I don't know???😂

Filled with a lot of Valefor and Kying, the root of my inspiration this year. They brought me back into drawing and all the creativity. I drew a lot of other stuff, too - still it was nice to look back at so many drawings of these two lovely idiots. And I love that the year end with them kissing.

oh yeah saw blue beetle last night and one million thumbs up. going into having heard it’s very tokusatsu and comic booky made it one million times better. goofy and stupid in fun ways. i’m so glad we’ve looped back around to comic book movies being like comic books: confusing chronologically and catered to fans willing to put up with wildly specific nonsense. also heck of a great job making a movie about gentrification and colonization out of the chaos of blue beetle lore and corporate blandification i genuinely had fun

#like it’s not the BEST done story about gentrification and colonization. but it’s a very interesting attempt at doing one in the dc universe #also ADORED how they did ted’s old tech i love love love that it was chronologically accurate and cheesy in the best way #of COURSE his tech is outdated he was a superhero TWENTY-THIRTY YEARS AGO!!#when mcu stuff went back in time they just retconned it to be cool futuristic sci-fi stuff too. i ADORE the idea that a) there WERE #superheroes in the last and b) time still passes! them being there shaped the world and influences the superheroes we have now!!#and SO glad to see DC finally capitalizing on their legacy heroes <- the one thing that stands them out from marvel #yeah this was a mediocre movie to the average fan. i think comic book movies should be. fuck blockbuster everyone movies #cbms should be wildly specific and about characters no one’s ever heard of to tell fun stories with them #also love the minimal level of integration with the rest of the dc movie verse #jaime went to gotham university and there was that one name drop of bruce wayne in an ad but SO happy no obnoxious cameos.#this is just another corner of the universe! it’s a coherent WORLD but that doesn’t mean the same individuals need to show up everywhere.#loved it. i know it’s not a great movie but i had so much fun from the moment i saw the intro talking about actual lore #it was 100x improved by what i already knew about jaime reyes and i know that’s a bad thing for non-aware viewers but fuck it. stop catering #to the audience that refuses to read comic books or put up with their tropes. cater to the people who are already here and love it #thank youuuuuuuuuuuu <3 also give people from the cultures superheroes represent more money to tell those superheroes stories . it’s great

not to make another post about loving my girlfriend but I LOVE MY GIRLFRIEND!!!!!!

#she's so dsabiduosadas #i just love her so much and everyday with her since we started going out has been amazing but these last few weeks especially so #we spent last weekend at her family's house in the countryside it was soooo good #we were alone and got to play house a little bit watched a ton of dungeon meshi + got to know the little town that she loves so much #and then wednesday was the brazilian version of valentines day which we spent getting take out building the lego flowers i got for her #it was great we both love legos and it was so chill and fun and so us instead of having a fancy dinner or something #oh and she got me a really pretty necklace with my initial on it (and got herself a matching one with her initial)#(we have our own initials cause we're cheesy but not THAT cheesy like having each other's would be a little too much lol)#and then this weekend was amazing #i just love her so so so much #friday i'm gonna go on a trip i had planned since before we began dating and even though it's gonna be fun and i know i'm gonna love it #i'm kinda dreading it a little bit cause it's gonna be two full weeks without her #and those two weeks include my birthday!!!#which i'll be spending in another country without family friends or girlfriend...#i'll be okay though #i won't have her but i'll have the special valentines day edition kuromi plushie she got me today hehehe (she of course has my melody)#and her perfume that i'll use to spray on it... and our couple rings that will arrive tuesday dasodpsadsa #(in brazil it is pretty common to wear rings even if you're just dating someone like most of the people i know asked if there was a ring #when i told them i was about to/had asked her to be my gf. but to me rings are pretty serious so i wanted to wait for a bit #i had told her as such literally in our first date cause she mentioned a friend who got a girl a ring before she was sure the girl wanted t #date her. which she didn't. but then they stayed together. and then the friend asked again. which the girl denied again. but then they #stayed together again. and seems like third time's the charm cause now they're dating fr. lesbians.)#sorry to whoever read all this shit this is too cheesy we're too embarassingly in love

Okay ultimate opinion on Cowboys & Aliens - better than i remember it being Favreau gave us a great time with a fun ensemble Daniel plays a great queer gunslingers feral little meow meow haunted by his past, there is a lot of potential SO MUCH POTENTIAL but like so many films in 2011 it's absolutely not smart enough to say what it wants to so I'm gonna sit here with my secret better version that isn't just Daniel Craig being incredibly attractive and exasperated for 2 hours in leather while putting up with Harrison Ford.

#it had so many great potential commentary moments on what happens when the colonizers get colonized but obvs #its a cheesy sci-fi film so #but!! the use of practical and digitial effects was great the uncanny valley aspects were chefs kiss the touch of horror elements #and the hauntology of it that being a western naturally adds was fantastic the ideas of aliens giving rise to a whole mythos #and the whole archetype of the gunslinger/cowboy was honored very well by Daniel's character and most of them tbh #but Daniel's especially he was the perfect balance of tough masculine we exterior but compassionate and trusted by the weak #also very queer textual which i loved #and it didn't become a steampunk movie either it stayed very truly a western with aliens which i loved #and when favreau promises aliens he means ALIENS thrown at you like a pie to the face its so much fun

#had so many fun interactions today and also learnt how to group taunt :3 baby's first kazotsky kick #i'm a pyro main usually but since everyone was fucking around i decided to switch to medic to see how it is and had not one but TWO heavies #call for me and then killbind/explode upon reaching a certain point. one of them even head an enemy intel and was a-posing the entire time #<a-posing and spinning! even #we got to the intel room and he just turned back. went upstrairs. started eating a banana and then killbinded. never change heavies i love #you. the other one did the go kart taunt and then tried to taunt kill me?? we were on the same team. well and then he exploded #i already mentioned pyro sewer party that was super cute :3 also like my first group interaction. special moment not to get cheesy #AND. and. yet another heavy with a wilson weave tried to teach me how to group taunt. like y'know. do the conga together #<i was convinced i couldn't do it since i didn't have it unlocked and stuff but i could!!! thank you heavy :]#i hope they was me eventually figure it out. had no way to check since they were on the enemy team and that doesn't display names #sorry about the wall of text i'm just!!!! well i just had a lot of fun :]#people also kept standing in those little towers? like y'know blu team player jumps on a red player and then a blu jumps on top of that one #and bam. tower right. there was also one pyro who had the minion fit AND the sign with a minion picture as well #i'll never get those people who make those 'strange people of 2fort videos' like the fuck you mean strange. they're so fun #GOSH. sorry about the wall of text again anyways um. download the game and play on 2fort ok? super fun
