“I– I don’t know.” S.Q. said. “I don’t know if I can forgive you, Mr. Benedict.”

Nicholas’ shoulders drooped, but he kept a kind expression on his face. “That is entirely understandable, my dear S.Q., but I cannot say that I am not… saddened.”

“‘Saddened’?” S.Q. repeated. “Why would you be moroseful? I mean, why would you be despairent? I mean–”

“No, no.” Said Mr. Benedict, chuckling quietly. “I know what you mean. Are you perhaps searching for the word ‘mournful’, ‘despairing’, or ‘despondent’? I know there are a great many words used to describe sadness in our language, as there are a great many ways to feel it. What I would say most accurately describes my current emotional state is ‘remorseful’, which means ‘a sense of regret, disapproval, or guilt stemming from one’s past wrongdoings’.”

S.Q. sat still for a moment, processing everything that had been said. “So…” He began slowly, “You mean to say that you feel bad about leaving me behind? In the cave?”

“My boy, there has not been a day since that occurrence that I have not thought about that afternoon and wept.” Mr. Benedict said gravely.

“Oh.” S.Q.’s voice was small, unsure of himself. “I– I’d always thought– Mr. Curtain–” He stopped, swiping at his eyes as tears began welling up. “They said that you did it on purpose, that you wanted me to get in trouble. That– That I deserved it–”

“S.Q….” Mr. Benedict reached out a hand, but it fell limply as he slumped back against the chair.

“Oh dear.” S.Q. mumbled, trying to figure out if pure sadness could kill a person. Luckily, Mr. Benedict was up again a few seconds later.

“My apologies, S.Q., I didn’t mean to frighten you.” He ran a hand through his hair. “Now, where were we?”

S.Q.’s face crumpled, and that was all Mr. Benedict needed.

“Ah, yes. Well, S.Q., I do indeed regret leaving you there, and if it were at all possible I would have taken you with the children and we all would have escaped together. But I don’t think you were ready for that at the time, do you?”

“No, I wasn’t.” S.Q. said glumly. “I just… I wish that it had never happened.”

“So do I, dear. So do I.” Mr. Benedict wavered, but he took a deep breath and steeled himself. S.Q. needed him in this moment.

“S.Q., I want you to know that you do not have to forgive me. Not today, not ever. It is entirely up to you.”

“Really?” S.Q. looked surprised. “You don’t want me to forgive you?”

Mr. Benedict smiled a small, bittersweet smile. “Of course I want you to, but that does not take the decision away from you, dear one. It still remains your choice.”

Danny kills the Joker. Every Joker.

So! As the King of the Infinite Realms, Danny has to deal with the complaints of his subjects a Lot.

Some of them want to suggest changes in certain Laws, others complain about other Ghosts who wronged them, but by far the most common reason was that they died in a violent manner and wanted revenge.

And by far, the main person they sought revenge for was the same person. A guy known as The Joker.

But unfortunately, as the Infinite Realms was connected to multiple Universes, many of those Complains were about different Jokers from alternate Universes. And there were so many of them that he couldn't really just kill a few of them and call it a day, at least some of his subjects would remain Unavenged. And that just wouldn't do!

So he just decided to do away with the whole lot.

Danny began to Personally Hunt Down every single version of the Joker in the Multiverse. Or at least the part of it that was connected to the Realms.

Unfortunately, the news that some ungodly eldritch being being was hunting the variants of the Joker across the entire Multiverse did not go unnoticed. Quickly enough, news spread across the Multiverse that somebody had decided to do away with the Clown that had been such a consistent thorn in the side of most Universes.

Eventually, that news reached the Main DC Universe, and got to Batman.

One day Batman was approached by Justice League Dark about the situation. They had managed to intercepted an Interdimensional message about what was happening, and decided to inform Batman ahead of time.

Now he had a choice.

Either he could try to stick by his Morals and protect even the Joker's life from an unknown force out for his life, or he could let it happen and absolve himself of the blame for the Jokers death.

It didn't help that for the past few days Jason had been in such a good mood after hearing about the Jokers impending Death.

He didn't really get to see Jason smile like that often...

I love how Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse said “Anyone can be Spider-Man”. I love how it inspired everyone to imagine their own Spider-People, saving the day in their own universes, with all kinds of cool, interesting personalities and aesthetics and mutations and life stories and relationships. We all put pieces of our soul into these homemade heroes. We had fun. We found community. And then Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse said, “Wow, great job! You’ve really taken our message to heart. Well, get ready for even more of everything you liked from the first movie and a new message to complement the first. Anyone can be Spider-Man… and anyone can be pulled into a cult.”

So now we all have to contemplate whether our lovingly crafted heroes would ever be on Team Mandatory Trauma Because Martyr Complex or not and why.

I can only watch one show today, so in normal trashy fashion, I picked my Wattpad BL Bad Guy My Boss because I'm ecstatic that PAT had a girlfriend while Elyes has been the gayest motherfucker in all the lands since Day One! Look at him. He doesn't understand bisexuality! He can't even fathom a man wanting to sleep with a woman.

I love this Black Brooder pendejo who won't let his Heavenly Human secretary resign yet won't actually communicate that he loves him.

And it's because I get him! He was so light before and watched his boyfriend just get darker. He communicated everything! His worries. He dreams. HIS LOVE!

Yet Run didn't say he loved him back, and regardless of Run's reasons, he hurt Elyes.

Even at the very end, with a clear barrier between them, Run couldn't even admit that he ever loved Elyes.

So despite how happy Elyes is with Pat,

He will use any means possible to avoid telling Pat the simple truth.

I don't know if Run actually loves Fei Long, but Elyes is now incapable of telling Pat what he wants to because of the way his relationship with Run blew up.

Elyes wants to lighten up!

But he can't for too long because life always reminds him that Pat could be snatched away if he isn't stalking him 90% of the time.

And Lord forbid Elyes go to therapy for his dark past of trust issues! No! Instead, he will threaten Pat as his boss because that is all Elyes has to fall back on, which is why he refuses to let Pat resign.

Thank goodness Pat is a smart cookie, but even when Elyes can't get at Pat directly, he forces others to track him down and make Pat come back to him.

Elyes continues to tell Kim that Pat is the best secretary who he can't live without instead of just owning up to the fact that he loves Pat, but Elyes. Cannot. Do. That!

Pat has always been honest in his relationships, and for it, he has been rewarded with a healthy breakup due to long distance, but Elyes has not! He was honest, and for his honesty, he got his heart ripped out and stomped on.

So he is going to continue to do The Most™ in attempt to avoid doing the bare minimum.

But Pat keeps proving that all he wants is the simple life.

Which is why I'm proud that Elyes, in his attempt to be light, learned his lesson regarding food and continues to bring the two of them closer by eating meals on tinier tables.

Because the first episode emphasized one of the problems was the fact that the distance kept growing between them as the tables got bigger and longer.

And he also picked up his phone just to tell Kim he was busy with another man, which isn't perfect, but is a hell of lot better than him leaving Pat to go to Kim. Evolution doesn't happen overnight for a Black Brooder.

As far as I'm concerned, Elyes is doing everything right according to his color because some Black Brooders are far more comfortable being arrogant assholes.

Who do not utilize space appropriately!

Which is why I want to know why Run, who is dark around Elyes, is so light around Fei Long. Is it really love?! Or is it Maybelline blackmail?

But shit is getting messy before that question can be answered, and now my color-coded boys in a situationship (since Elyes refuses to say love) are being visited by thots of Booty Calls Past AT WORK.

And by the looks of that big ass barrier between these exes, I don't think Elyes is going to lighten up after this conversation.

Because just like bisexuality and viewing women as attractive, Elyes doesn't seem to understand what a healthy relationship or healthy conversation looks like.

Who is this guy?

It's none other than Mrs Kobayashi's grandson Riku! Riku is the only relative who lives the closest to her, so he finds the time to visit outside his busy work. Training on the slopes can be intense and he's also a model from a popular agency, but he tries to come at least once a week. When he came today, his grandmother was so excited to introduce a girl to him! Well he's been single for a while and he loves meeting new people; of course he'd be happy to go on this blind date!

One thing that I find myself appreciating about solavellan is how Solas doesn’t coddle Lavellan at all. He offers help and guidance, of course, but he doesn’t treat her like a dumb baby who is incapable of higher thinking or can’t understand consequences.

If Lavellan does fucks up it’s not met with a patronizing, infantilizing, chauvinistic attitude. He’s very much like, “hey wtf you’re smarter than this get it together”.

I love solavellan so much because it’s a dynamic that is naturally sprinkled with power imbalances (mortal x immortal, head of a world power x elven apostate, etc.) yet they truly treat each other as equals.

Their love is built on a foundation of deep respect for one another and that means so much to me.
