When I held these fishes in my hands it brought tears to my eyes.

#i visited a museum recently to look at specimens of the poeciliid ive been working on #and was allowed to poke around in the bagrids too #this was such a huge deal to me #nanobagrus are kind of representative of the dream ive been chasing #i got to finally see them in real life and even hold them #i am very aware of how small they are in numbers but holding them and really seeing how tiny they are is different #you really grasp how itty bitty they are #that Nanobagrus immaculatus was exactly the maximum size the species is recorded at #it was a big one and it was so so small #i qlso had a lot of complicated feelings about my experience in my bad lab and how i should have had the opportunity to visit a museum #and do this before now #i will for sure in my new lab get to do this stuff #blue skies ahead #but holding these guys was a really big deal to me #also held a jar of Nanobagrus torquatus paratypes but i didn't want to handle them for fear of damaging them #no need to damage a type without reason

can we talk about the alternative vinyl design for 2x7????

Don't get me wrong, I loved the one we got. Especially since it's more subtly replacing the Jinx & Vi design, but this looks so amazing.

I love the colors. I love how at peace the two look in eachothers arms. I love that they included the blue smoke tattoos and the clockwork design.

In 70 chapters, Prowl frowns rougly 104 times. And the intensity of this gesture is very clearly correlated with the development of his relationship with Jazz, as you can see ahahahahah It might be wrong tho don’t take me seriously I’m not good with graphs

Eldritch/not-entirely-human Grunkle Stan stories have been eating away at my brain, so I have a silly little concept of Mimic!Stan.

He and his Mystery Shack are both mimics that lure tourists in as a literal "tourist trap" to gather and devour them! Since the house is alive, it raises a few (read: several) child safety concerns that lead to a LOT of rules to be created for Dipper and Mabel to follow when they eventually arrive, such as:

Be careful not to get lost in the winding hallways! The Mystery Shack is bigger on the inside, and you don't want to end up in the wrong areas.

Don't go through randomly appearing doors, they may eat you.

If you think you feel the walls around you breathing and the floor beneath you shifting, no, you don't.

If you think the walls feel a bit damp, you're imagining it.

Watch your fingers around windowsills! You wouldn't want to lose any of them.

Don't linger too long under the doorframes; it may start feeling like they are slowly constricting around you.
