heyy!! i'm about to start another reread of atott but although im trying to get better at this, im bad at leaving comments (i get too invested in the action & dont mark down my thoughts... so when i get to the comment part i don't remember all or anything i wanted to talk abt + i'm ruminating on what just happened. that's true for the updates i've been following and doubly so for binge-reading sessions) so i just wanted to say some things directly to you, right now, before i forget - i adore the colosseum to this day. i was invested from moment one and the way you described everything was so impactful. to this day i also remember the way ren was panicked & aiming to return home despite his concussion, it felt very visceral and real. also the entirety heresy ring, akechi finding out he was in the fraud ring (this cracked me up iirc. that boy read you akechi), the toy grandma wanted to give ren & akechi managed to get to him (and ren/arsene crying bc of it....), the river, the hanged man game.... gods, you captivated me so much even within those first chapters.

another moment that is very present in my memory is the whole section where ren is in shido's palace, hiding from akechi w/o knowing it's him, finding out he was the "birdman" and then the aftermath, akechi's high fever, the way ren did his best to take care of him, how he told him he'd do the hit on the principal for him. it was all so good!! like i found ur fics from the accomplice tag iirc so i wasn't surprised when it happened, but it was all so exciting still! my memory sucks so i can't even paraphrase what ren told akechi before leaving to do it, but i do remember how akechi was still convinced (and kinda hoped) ren wouldn't actually get involved & he'd just end up dead. then ren came back, with new glasses to boot! lol

ohh also that moment where ren crossdressed and akechi was definitely attracted but ofc he can't Say It so he just critiques his makeup capabilities instead....... i was like. of course. of couse you would.

I FUCKING HATE THE SHIP KYNDY OK AND THE PEOPLE WHO SHIP IT OVER STENDY ARE RETARDS. ok first of all kyle has 0 interest in wendy bc he’s gay which he said in “follow that egg” when he deadass was like “i don’t like wendy” LMAO when stan got all jealous and shit, ok so now that we’ve cleared that out of the way, another main reason why it wouldn’t work is bc first of all kyle and wendy are both overly emotional monsters LOL like if they got together it would just be insanity and destruction. stendy works better bc stan is more rational and shit, and wendy needs that bc it keeps her more sane & balanced. if wendy was throwing a tantrum kyle would just throw a tantrum too and it’d make everything worse. i also feel the same way about kyman i feel like it works since cartman isn’t as overly reliant on his emotions as kyle is (i mean cartman def has his moments like that too tho LOL) but cartman still knows how to keep a calm & rational mind in certain situations which kyle needs, like in that scene where kyle was going ballistic bc stan & kenny ditched the faith hilling stuff and he was like “YOU’RE SELLOUTS!1!1!” and cartman was able to calm kyle down LMAO. and also the fact that kyle & wendy are both perfectionistic overachievers would be a nightmare too, i mean yeah it looks good on paper bc they both have that in common but i mean….when you have that personality type (which i have LOL) you can get overstressed and overwhelmed easily so it’s better to be around people who can help you relax and have fun than be a constant reminder of all the work u need to do. and stan still fulfills wendy in both of those ways, he’s smart and has common sense like her but stan isn’t as overly concerned about schoolwork. same with kyman, cartman still fulfills kyle’s needs to be around someone who can stimulate him intellectually, but kyle has more fun when he’s with cartman lol. also i feel like bc stan is way more laid back than kyle he’s wayyy more patient with wendy, i mean this is both a good and bad thing bc stan constantly enables wendy and lets her walk all over him, but i think at the end of the day wendy likes stan bc of the unconditional support he gives her. i mean kyle isn’t like this at all, in the moments we’ve seen kyle with wendy he’s rlly quick to call her out on her bs or get annoyed with her easily like he does with everyone LOL bc kyle is way more assertive than stan. a good example was in “tom’s rhinoplasty” when kyle was like the first one to figure out how wendy shot miss ellen into the sun and called her out for it, and then in “follow that egg” kyle got annoyed with wendy when she was getting all worked up over her egg LOL he’s like “i just want an A leave me alone” and then when they talked about stan’s depression in “ass burgers” wendy was suggested how they can go to stan’s house together and kyle immediately shut her down lmaoooo. it seems pretty clear to me that kyle doesn’t care for wendy and doesn’t have much patience for her, now wendy on the other hand it wouldn’t surprise me if she has a crush on kyle LOL. i mean i’m sure all the girls have crushed over kyle at some point bc they think he’s cute (but then they immediately get over the crush when they find out how annoying his personality is) and also this is wendy we’re talking about, she literally made out with cartman while she was with stan and then got over it so it wouldn’t surprise me if she wanted to jump kyle’s bones too LOL. also besides being booksmart the only other thing they have in common is that they “hate” cartman so it’d be as pathetic as style where all they do together is talk shit about cartman when in reality both of them want to fuck him.
