ok i keep forgetting to like actually do stuff on here but while ive been procrastinating on the tfp rewatch i have started watching. the unicron trilogy and i just finished armada. i dunno how to share my thoughts exactly but man was that a ride and i ultimately enjoyed it. i miss watching shows but now i need to either start. watching energon, talk to someone about the show, or watch someone else talk about the show while i work on oc refs or something but i also dont want to get spoiled for later

i love how this implies that they’ve never been in the subway before. well, since most of them almost never left uranium, this checks.

ocean — she always advocated for public transportation (and for some reason believed it wasn’t widely used, probably because she assumed everyone could use a car and subway was for noble people who cared for the environment), but if she ever went to a big city, she never stayed there for long, and usually walked by foot. when she actually used the subway for the first time, she decided to hand out flyers that said something like “thank you for choosing public transit! here are some other ways you can help the planet (…)”. ended up absolutely overwhelmed and in a taxi, wiping tears with the flyers no-one seemed to like. wonder why.

noel — romanticized the shit out of paris metropolitan, said he researched all about it and prided himself on being more knowledgeable of it than a local. when he got to go to france (probs a family/school trip when he was a teen) he bought an overpriced graphic t-shirt with the metropolitan map and confidently entered the underground. immediately got disappointed it wasn’t all gothic catacombs, and accidentally sat on a wrong train. had to take off his t-shirt and figure out where he was, and after two hours of being chest naked in the french underground and hopping from one wrong train to another even wronger train a kind passer-by pointed out that the print on his tee was of marseille, not paris. he spent an extra hour figuring out the correct map and asking for directions in broken french (the locals despised him). he entirely missed the drag show he waited for, and ever since then grew to hate the french underground.

mischa — is in on a ukrainian inside joke about metro in odesa. successfuly convinced all choir that there’s metro in odesa. there is no metro in odesa.

there’s also a ukrainian book called toreadors from vasyukivka, where two boys want to build a metro in their village, so they dig a big hole in their yard and a cow accidentally falls into it. safe to say their idea doesn’t stick. at some point these boys get to kyiv and immediately get lost in metro there. that’s 100% mischa. he did this i was the cow.

also he always finds ways not to pay for his ride: jumps over the tourniquet’s, crawls under them, squeezes in with a person in front of him etc. sometimes gets extremely bored and hides in a train wagon when it reaches the final stop, and stays in it when it goes to depo.

ricky — his parents drove him everywhere by car, and told the tales about toronto subway being inaccessible, dangerous and full of freaks. he never believed them. at some point (maybe in a trip with the choir) he got to travel by subway himslef. it was, in fact, a bit of an unpleasant experience, but he found out that it sucks on his own terms and was lowkey proud.

also he was listening to some cringefail furry music (i do not know if furry music is a thing but it will be now) and realised his earphones disconnected and he was blasting it to everyone only after he got home.

penny — had a secret hiding spot in toronto subway where she could keep her things and return to see them intact. she and ezra hid there often and spied on people, sometimes picking up what fell out of their purses — like pieces of candy or pennies (get it? penny? pennies? penis?). they never stayed there for long tho cause it was too overwhelmingly loud.

one time she went to that place and realised some construction workers occupied it. she was emotionally devastated.

constance — always saves the seat for the elderly, disabled and other people who might need it, and people always thank her plenty when she does so. actually never ever sat on a train seat unless the wagon was mostly empty. however, one time she had a horribly tiring + devastating + bad day and decided to sit down for once. got called 10 slurs by an old guy who didn’t see there was another free seat and ocean then told her she should have thought about others first. when she got home she wrote an angry vent in her musical diary (yk, the ones that open with a password and then play a one direction song or smth) with a fluffy pen.

+ talia — she is a subway rat. has a love/hate relationship with obolon station. has beef with pochayna station. she herself is from solomyanka region of kyiv where there is no subway. considers it her curse.

On and on I go posting, well today I'm gonna post about John Moore aka Rankorr, called Jack sometimes as well. This is a long post btw, just warning you! I haven't posted much of him really but I wanted to figure out how best define his personality in my au and how to approach his and Jason's working relationship.

Jack is a Red Lantern, you can read about him in the new52 Red Lantern book. His powers come from a red ring, which is powered by the emotion of rage and wrath. Seeing as Jason also has anger issues, this was one major reason why I decided to put him in the TrWh Outlaws. I did consider other options for the Lantern expy (mostly Kyle) but Jack felt more interesting and unique to me.

But in the comics he never came off as too angry, like he's angry sometimes but never to the extent needed to justify why he's the only human chosen for the red ring. He's shown to be able to create light constructs, most other red lanterns can't really do that, so that might be one reason. I wonder if the way he deals with his anger is why he can do that?

His character never got too in depth, honestly I felt like the writers didn't have much interest in him, esp once Guy Gardner got in the book. But I liked him, and thought he had potential. I was intrigued on how he handled his anger issues, which is not at all. He tried really hard to repress his anger,not the best way to deal with that. Btw, his origin story is kinda similar to canon, seeing his grandfather killed. He grew so angry and spiraled until one day a certain red ring appeared...

Also I noticed he was in Oxford university for a literature degree, he seemed to like books. I like the thought of him and Jason bonding over that.

Speaking of Jason, Jack tends to take an almost 'advisory' role to him, he has no interest in leadership. He keeps trying reel Jason in and force him to plan things out or make his plans less insane. But I imagine in the heat of battle Jack gets just as crazy due to the effects of the ring, perhaps thats why he harps on caution. He thinks Jason could be a good leader but he takes issue with his 'selfishness' and recklessness. You can see in the pic above Jack gets pretty caustic with his words, one way his anger manifests. But Jack and Jason really do see elements of themselves in the other, whether that helps them bond or agitates them depends.

Jack is, btw, older than Jason by about 2 years or so and is among the oldest of the team, another reason why he might try to act more responsible.

Here's a small plot point I thought up for Jack, when I was wondering for reasons for why he in particular got the ring. One reason is perhaps Atrocitus wanted a spy but also had the idea to make that spy a child. The idea is that a child would be less suspecting and also less likely for the adult heroes to attack as well. There's been quite an uptick in child heroes in this universe, and it seems some villains are taking advantage of it.

The idea for someone trying really hard to reign in his anger and be a hero is also struggling to deal with being a spy sounded very interesting. I imagine he would struggle with being pulled in two directions, can his fellow teammates help him out of this situation?

Another doodle going a bit more into depth for Jack, namely his relations with others. I really like the thought of Guy Gardner being a sort of mentor figure for Jack, you know Guy used to work with kids, tho that changed in new52 I believe (ignoring that for my au ofc). You can see his stress concerning Atrocitus, being forced to be a spy. But in a lot of ways Atrocitus did try help John (in his own weird way), so Jack has added guilt in not being loyal to him either. Poor kid.

Looks like Jason grows aware of Jack's duplicity, Jack can't stand Jason's hypocrisy (Jason's a bat through and through), but Jason's gonna end up helping him anyways. Bleez, another red lantern, isn't much help tho. Jack and her do end up friends, but she keeps trying to lure him to the dark(red) side.

Here's Jack with his friend Kimberly, just like in the Red Lantern comic he saves her from a creepy stalker. Jack has a hell of a time trying to keep his Red Lantern secret from her, but she can tell he's hiding something tho she's letting him tell her in his own time. Should be noted that Bleez is aware of Kim and dislikes their friendship, she doesn't like that Jack's loyalties are divided. She might also have a crush on Jack but since everyone's a kid, I wouldn't really call it much of a love triangle.

I also wanted to make a friendship between Jack and Owen Mercer, Boomerang Jr. Owen's more carefree and wayyyy less repressed, so he'd make a fun foil for Jack. This friendship's obviously inspired by Hal's and Barry's (Green Lantern, Flash) friendship, tho the dynamic's slightly flipped. With the 'flash' of this duo being the more irresponsible one, tho Jack isn't nearly as put together as he thinks.

Finally here's an older drawing of Jack, when trying to figure out how to draw him outside of his red lantern persona (think of this like concept art ig), the upper right doodle still makes me laugh.

Sorry that was so much, I just never had the chance to post about this character, so I kinda overdid it.

I watched the two first episodes of 𝓣𝓱𝓮 𝓐𝓬𝓸𝓵𝔂𝓽𝓮 and I got thoughts:

SPOILERS BELOW

First of all I just would like to say that most of the negative reviews that I saw where pretty thrown around just beacuse haters can’t help themself. So I don’t think this is the “worst sw product ever1!1!”, but I do got some (constructive) criticism myself and I want to express MY opinions (I am allowed to have and share them).

Let’s start with the positive aspects of this show

Fighting scenes and choreographies:

I was really impressed by the actions sequences. I’m glad that at least in this aspect Star Wars (after whatever happened in the sequels) is putting more effort in creating more impressive fighting scenes, but in the specific lightsaber fights!

Even if, yes, the lightsabers haven’t been used as much as I hoped, I still found this fighting style really mesmerizing. Now I’m not a martial art expert, so I won’t comment on that, but I just want to say that I do find this style way more appropriate than actually using a lightsaber all the time. It just makes sense for a Jedi of that time to minimize their usage of their weapon. They are at a high point of history, there is no war, just (apparent) peace.

I was afraid that the jumps would weird me out, but I gotta say that I liked them!!

How they showcased the temple and the characterization of the Jedi:

First thing first: ANOTHER LIVE ACTION TEMPLE OTHER THAN THE ONE IN THE CAPITAL???? Miracle!!! (Even if the interior design was questionable but I think they are just very isolated jedis and that’s their style? Idk man, there was literal sand in a corner tho??)

I appreciated how they showed Jedis as humans.

Sol is a jedi at heart yes, he is clearly suffering at the idea of his former padwan in such position, but he stays focused. Also I do get the comparison with Qui Gon, especially at the end of episode 2 when he tries to stick to the hunt, going against the council decision, but he still follows their leading in the end. But anyway, do not attack my new Star Wars father figure‼️

Yord also has his heart in the right place, I’m sure of it, he just wishes to help, but it’s clear that in this desperate search for perfection (brotha quoted the code by memory and was ironing his clothes for AN OUTSIDE MISSION💀 ) he might be losing what being a Jedi actually means. He always being the one to reach his lightsaber first :(( I’m really interested in seeing his development!

Jecki my smart girl, please humble Yord more often, that was the funniest part in the two episodes. I just want to say that her being 18 and going on her FIRST mission is so special and heartbreaking for me, just think the comparison with Ahsoka becoming a soldier at 14.

I also really liked the fact that the two Jedis killed got killed by their own compassion. Perfect.

Osha character:

Maybe it’s obvious, maybe not, but IN MY OPINION (so far) she is the best written character of the whole show (this actually comes from a critic that I have about the writing of the show, but it’s not the case for this character!)

Maybe it’s also that she is genuinely so sweet for me, I DONT KNOW I GET THIS VIBE FROM HER OKAY?? But she is the character I enjoyed the most in those first two episodes.

It’s just that I feel like we got to see only one side of the other characters, while with Osha she already feels like a well rounded character. We see her in various situations, in various states of mind, from the fear and then the calm of meeting her former master, to being taken by the negative feelings, the rage, she still preserves from her past. It was a great spectrum.

Also she was standing way more out as her own character than any one else in the show (see writing criticism below) and I liked that.

The actress was often carrying the show when put side to side with the other characters. (I’m under the impression that not everyone was giving their best performance tbh…but Amandla Stenberg was great!)

Really interested to see how the whole trauma/I just found my presumed dead twin alive/the Jedis I left are back thing will play out of her.

Also shoutout to Star Wars for continuing the tradition of the main character with a new cute droid. Gotta be one of my favourite tropes 🙏

In between opinions

I’m not going to comment on the plot YET, I find that it’s too early, but I was surprised by the decision of reveling the twin plot right away?

I was expecting it to be one the main thing that they would dance around for the whole series, but maybe I was under the wrong impression. It’s just that it felt rushed. But that’s a problem that comes down the fact that those episodes are TOO SHORT!!

I wasn’t also pleased by the fact that MASTER Indara died with that tiny knife in her chest. Like okay, maybe it was directly through the heart, but still: it doesn’t feel justified. Star Wars needs to decide a common trajectory, we can have people that survive a light saber in their stomach and others that die from far less concerning attacks. Also Osha surviving a terrible crash without a scratch?? Uhm.

Fire in space, gotta be my favorite mistake in space fiction products🙏 (I know that math and physics ain’t USA favorite subjects but cmonnnnnn, even Star Trek did this and uh😭😭). But anyway, I wouldn’t count it as this big mistake that everyone is freaking out about, because again, it’s common (somehow), and also was need for the trauma moment. 👍

But…25 MILIONS for episode, 12’500$ PER SECOND. We could have done better uh🧍‍♀️

And on this last bitter tone…

Negative aspects (it was bound to happen sorry)

The writing:

I have two main bones to pick at:

The quality of the lines,

Every character (besides Osha) is missing a speech pattern, some characterization…

I personally found the their speech to be not as cured as I was hoping for a show that had 4 years of development.

“Attach me with all of your strength” I literally heard in my head: 🦗🦗🦗

Sorry but some of Mae lines especially weren’t it (kinda funny when I actually enjoyed Osha’s)

Also yes, the characters were missing characterization through the dialogue, which is pretty crucial when you are showcasing brand the characters that no one knows. I just wished they weren’t so flat in that aspect.

I especially had a weird feeling with Sol, I do like him, but some of the lines weren’t it. I think it was also a bit the delivery, but I don’t want to attack the actor.

I wish their words were more expressive. Painted by their personality.

The poem was okay, this one ⬇️

I found it cute, but nothing too crazy

(Also side note that I don’t know where to put: the little twin looked like the Snapchat baby filter. Idk you can’t change my mind😭)

Also the pace of the storytelling per se: it felt rushed but at the same time slow, because I’m sorry but the delivering was a tad boring. I was expecting more.

Costumes:

Before you all attack me: I did liked them, but with that budget I was expecting more. Let me explain

I really liked that they changed clothes when they went outside, leaving the white and yellow for the more ceremonials acts (like studying) for then changing for the outside. I loved that touch. In particular Yord attire in his first scenes was so good

I like their outfit so much (I hope the dope Padawan returns btw🧎‍♀️)

But, because there is a but, there is something weird about their clothings.

Now, I know that I am a prequels apologist and all, but you see how well clothes fit there:

They look realistic here, garments that have been actually worn

It’s just that their clothes look like they are sitting on them (have you in mind when people say “oh this foundation is sitting on my face” yeah in that sense, in the sense that doesn’t melt well)

NOOO IVE FINISHED THE GIFS LIMIT. TUMBLR UGH- (no more cool gifs guys😔)

It’s not a huge problem, but I wanted to say it regardless.

The set and lighting:

It’s just that for that type of budget and for that amount of time I was expecting some cinematic level of show. Maybe my bad (again), but the set looked often plastic and the lighting wasn’t really helping either.

Some scenes were well done: the ones in the Coruscant temple, the shore and in the bar/restaurant at the beginning were well done.

But especially the set in the second episode did not impress me at all.

It’s hard to judge on just those two episodes, I feel like they haven’t told much, but for now I can only say that I will keep watching, without expecting too much (even if I should given the cost of the show).

I was interested in this project because I was excited to see the high republic in live action, but I don’t think this show will portray the typical high republic type of Jedis, something in between. I just hope that for once they will treat the jedi nicely because they can’t ever take a break in this franchise uh😭

Also I got a question…because if the Sith have been extinct for a millennium, according to the Jedi in the movies, by the time of the phantom menace…how will all of this play out??

Will they all die and the Jedis will just hide the evidence? But what about Yoda (or Yaddle)? Okay that he is chilling away but doesn’t make much sense…anyway I think I’ll have my answer by the end of the show.

Overall vote: 6/10 (a tad more than sufficient, I’m not feeling generous tonight🧍‍♀️)

We've had an angel-ified V1, what do you think of a machine Gabe?

When I first got the game, my only exposure to it was fanart, and I had assumed from what I'd seen that both V1 and Gabriel were robots made in the image of angels. I've seen some people play around with fanart and theories of Gabe secretly being a machine, what do you think of it?

Also, how do you prefer to receive fan art of Fallen Gabe? Sent over inbox or just tagging you?

i'm honestly very split about how i feel about the idea, because i absolutely love gabriel as an angel and actually how that reflects being a machine despite apparently being so much above earthly existence, yet i also think it's incredibly interesting to explore how turning out to be a machine would affect his entire sense of self. so when i do consider the idea, i naturally like to go half in on it with the thought that gabriel was once an angel but was torn apart and remade as a machine by the council basically as an experiment in obedience. so it's sort of a ghost in the shell scenario, leaving gabriel to wonder what this means for his memories, his existence, and even his identity - is he still an angel for presumably still having the "soul" he once possessed? or is he just a construct given gabriel's memories? and it taps into the genuine pointlessness of his service - he wasn't even made by god, he shares no part in heaven. i think it would genuinely lead to a breakdown of his self and personality, not just by feeling "fake", but to think he may not truly be gabriel, just something that stole a dead man's memories and took pride in an identity that was never his. just a foolish computer that believed all the lies programmed into it. an ai that mimicked gabriel's personality and walked around as his macabre copy (because i think even if he truly once was gabriel, he could never know what digitizing that identity did to it).

i will say it also makes a very unique scenario for him seeking out v1 because he finds the wires and circuits beneath the blood in his body and he just. needs help. he needs someone to tell him what he is. and in that intense panic, he flees to the only machine he kind of...knows. and it's very sweet, v1 teaching him about maintenance and figuring out just what kind of computer he is, as well as the dilemma of him likely running on emergency power as the light was his source. of course, v1 doesn't recognize most of his components (heaven-made electronics! cool!), but it doesn't say anything to that effect since it knows all that's gonna do is panic him again - plus it's confident it can figure it out. so i do really like the element of how they might bond over this and how v1 helps gabriel accept himself as he is...as well as the idea that they go hunting to figure out just what happened in his past - if he was ever truly an angel, if he's entirely constructed, or if he's somewhere in-between.

hello 🌷 I hope you're doing well. i wanted to ask and I hope this isn't offensive in any way.. so those w did and osdd have the word system to refer to themselves as, right? what about the c ptsd fragments / parts? some r saying that they give their parts names even, but I don't do that.. tho I do want to make it clear to my loved ones that I am fragmented if that makes sense, and maybe even tell them what this ep does and how my anp usually behaves but im confused. i don't want to make it look like im different people but I know they get confused when I differently to protect myself or shift states, so I do want to explain!! im not in the community yet hence why I asked. thank you and I apologize if this was rough to read. ☺️

Hi anon! Thanks for reaching out. Pls note I’m not a professional and can’t give advice or speak for how the community feels, just going off my own experiences

So I’m a full supporter of using what language makes sense to you and your loved ones when explaining what’s going on for you. If that means using system language to describe it all, theres literally no issue with it at all, especially when its just between you and loved ones anyway. Sorry, but I’m not going to gatekeep words, thats silly! People might get confused if you talk about it in a more public way but thats about it.

I frequently change up my words according to who I’m telling about this all, depending on what they understand. Not everyone knows I have DID but I’ve had to explain what happens sometimes because I’m pretty overt with my presentation and I don’t really like having to do the whole ‘do you believe me or are you going to be fucking weird about this’ song and dance.

Here are some words that might suit you, based on things I’ve used to explain my parts without outing my DID entirely that you may or may not find useful:

- parts of self (‘this part of myself’, ‘the traumatized part of myself’, ‘the part of myself who struggles with this specific thing’, etc. descriptors help a lot to differentiate)

- trauma brain and present brain (easier, snappier, more to the point than ANP and EP, nicely not specific to any one part. Sometimes people use left brain and right brain to explain their logic side and creative side, so its the same kinda thing)

- using animals to describe whats going on (my housemates use things like ‘feeling stalked by hyenas’ when feeling urgency, or ‘hiding like a wounded animal’. This is pretty normal too, like ‘a deer in headlights’ used to describe someone whos frozen or confused)

- age descriptors (‘me at seven’, ‘teenage self’, etc. )

- job descriptions (‘the part of me that can go to work’, ‘the aggressive part of me’, ‘the part of me who cries all the time’. Makes it easier to get to the point of what this part does)

As for a system of parts, if you don’t feel comfortable using system, here are some others I’ve used:

- animal groupings (a flock, a murder, a herd, a colony, whatever works here)

- computer or machine terminology (‘my inner processing unit’, ‘my folders full of memory files’, idk I use the term ‘programming’ a whole lot with my loved ones because of how theyve said that I respond like a robot, but I’m certain some people here would be upset that I use their Very Special Terms. But if its in the privacy of your own home I really do not think it matters)

- Literally any sort of grouping analogy, whatever makes sense to you and feels right. You could say a jar full of trauma buttons or something idk! Up to you! Get creative with it

R and I constructed an understanding of my DID without using the Big Community Words because it was just me and him figuring it out for a few years. Things like The Personas (instead of parts or alters), the Council Of Bunny, trauma brain/present brain, The Guys In my Head.

When it comes down to it, you and I are on the same spectrum anyway. DID is not some special disorder, its just C-PTSD with extra steps really. So I wouldn’t worry too much about all this. I wish you luck in finding words and phrases that suit you and your loved ones’ understanding of what’s going on. Having someone Know helps so so so so much

And also if I totally misunderstood and you were just wondering what the C-PTSD community uses.. i have no idea sorry! Maybe look into inner child language? I’m not even caught up on my own community

I said I was gonna post about this au so here we go.

I apologize in advance if it's hard to understand.

So first we have Monkey King who I haven't figured out rather I want to call him MonkeyStar or PeachStar. He's still born from a stone so that's still true and you know something tells me he wasn't born in an area with cats but rather monkeys so he still has his toop, his "clan" area is mainly a lush forest and Rocky areas surrounded near water food isn't hard to find since they mainly just eat fruits and occasionally bugs.

Now when I say Clan I mean just him and his monkey's he doesn't really have a clan since it's just him and his monkey's and there's no reason for a clan if there's no longer danger or threats.

When he became leader he didn't exactly become leader the traditional way by going to the Moonstone he just became leader after jumping through a waterfall, this is cause he didn't know what clans where and didn't learn till his training era(so with master Subodhi).

During his training era he had an existential crisis and went to go become immortal so he wandered till he found this group of cats that where being trained by this much older cat, (side note- this may or may not change depending on what I do but for now the pre- jttw and jttw events will takes place during the same time as the book) Monkey King was given the name sun wukong while training under Subodhi.

Now I might skip the brotherhood era till I make azure and the other 2 members, but during that time he did have what was known as a clan it was small yes but he did have a technical clan.

Now I would like to mention that Starclan is the Celestial realm while Diyu is the Dark forest. Wukongs punishment is the same with being trapped under the mountain but instead of being trapped under neath like he's normally depicted or like how he's show in lmk he's more so chained down, he has chains wrapped around his body he can move around slightly but he's mainly just bound down till Tripitaka comes by and frees him(I'll mention more in a later post.)

Monkey king is currently training/mentoring is first and only apprentice/successor Mk and besides the whole Lbd and LionClaw(Azure), he's doing pretty good, he's not all that trusting to humans so him and mk only hang out on FFM(flowerclan?Monkeyclan?) But he's warming up to them again,only ever hangs with Mo tho.

(Imagine looking out your window to get fresh air and you just see a fucking cat on a cloud)

Mk has kinda the same lore as my main headcannon with him being born from the remains of Monkey kings Rock and Wukong being his father and along with Mac(who doesn't find out till later in both versions).

Now mk is a kittypet meaning he does have a owner and he lives with pigsy and tang, mk was left with pigsy when he was 2 moons old maybe and at the time pigsy was a stray(more on his backstory on a different post) and after getting a kit he panicked and went to the next person he knew to help which was tang who let him stay with him(by convincing his two legs to let them stay).

Mk grew up as an indoor cat that was granted access to go outside and wander around in the neighborhood before coming back, when he was around 7 or 8 moons old he met Mei who had escaped out of her stuffy house to explore and they hit it right off the bat and even after Mei was returned home she would come running back out to meet him and it was such a regular occurrence that both their two legs didn't mind anymore.

Now mk isn't really a noodle delivery boy but I do like to believe he helps out with deliverys with his twolegs restaurant and often tags along for the ride to help deliver noodles, he noticed that during their runs they forgot to deliver to one customer so he quickly grabbed the bag and went running down to a very creepy and abandoned construction site(he doesn't notice tho) to deliver them only to stop when he saw Pif(Ironwind would be a cool name) and Red(Redson? Redfur?) and quickly went in hiding on top of a metal pipe where he saw Monkey King's staff(literally a heavy af pole, probably was a big one before it was shrunken down).

His twolegs where most likely worry during the whole SQ, Dbk,Lbd and Azure take over cause their cats are missing during these other crazy power cats taken over/destroying the world and they where definitely confused when they saw after the Lbd thing that mk had burned scars. I bet after the whole Azure lion thing mk was put on house arrest cause I mean if your cat suddenly starts glowing and being frantic then I don't think you'd be letting them outside.

Macaque is a cool one, first off he is a loner currently keeping away from humans and sleeping in a abandoned dojo. When he was younger he was a pure white cat with stunning red markings that stood out the most(idk if he has six ears or not) of course he glamoured his fur black the moment he got the chance.

During his time with Wukong and the brotherhood he was both the Medicine cat and Deputy(this role might later be taken by Azure) , he was skilled with herbs and always ready to give Wukong some insight or warnings on what he heard tho over time it seemed the great sage was more focused on taken down the celestial realm then actually heeding his various warnings and concerns.

After Wukong was picked up by the monk macaque would of became a spy for what remained of the brotherhood, he followed would spy on the pilgrims and bring insight and speak on what he would witness or hear. He hated this not only was he more treated as a pawn then an equal, but he also had to spy on his king a cat he's grown accustomed to and seeing him bonding but also being tortured by these people it... It hurt him especially when he heard what happened to the brotherhood one day when he was away and yeah getting stabbed with a metal pole wasn't fun.

Getting revived and thrown into modern society was confusing and terrified like first day revived he almost got hit by a car, now while he ignored the Lbd's wishes macaque was determined to find and attack Wukong of course with a plan and a lot of meditation to get back in strength.

He wasn't planning on finding Mk quite the opposite, he was kinda expecting monkey king to show up and defeat his kiaju instead of almost killing pigsy and mk, and when he met mk he was more startled like who the fluff let their kit out in the busy street he could tell the kid was wukongs successor by the obvious staff and a lot of other key features and he decides to use that to his advantage.

Mk at first unlike in the show is more scared of macaque especially the way he's circling him like fresh prey but he decides the go along seeing as his training of breaking a wall wasn't going anywhere. Getting the kids power(mainly just his energy tho) was more easy then he thought he just wasn't expecting Wukong to show up so early.

Currently macaque being the most hostile and aggressive to humans is staying right clear from them and spending most his time in the dojo, sneaking onto FFM uninvited or watching mk from a distance cause something strange is up with that cub.

Science Vs romance

A story of a young girl, who fell in love with a scientist boy but isn't sure yet what the feelings really mean and if they'll be returned.

This is not chapter 1

As soon as you had an opening, all of you took your stuff and left. Senku guided all of you slowly up the mountains to the coper statue. It might come of use later.

You walked beside him, so Yuziriha and Tajiu could explain to eachother what happened. You looked at Senku, who tried his best to hide his troubles as he struggled for air as he walked up the hill.

You took his hand. "Your stamina is very low, I'll help you up. This way you won't strain as much."

He looked at you confused. "You ain't much stronger than me. It will just strain you more." He tried to take his hand away.

"It won't." You smiled. He kept holding onto your hand as you walked together. It indeed was straining, but you couldn't watch as Senku struggled. You felt how his hand was a bit rough, maybe even slightly scarred. The primitive life must have made him adjust to it. You watched as Yuziriha and Tajiu seemed happy together. How they were the perfect pair. Slowly you pet Senkus hand with your thumb. You smiled softly as you felt a warm feeling spread through you. He was your friend. Your lab partner. You chuckled softly at a joke you remembered.

He looked at you and asked. "What is it?"

You looked at the plants nearby as you walked. "I remembered one of our jokes."

"A joke?" You remembered how he loved to make jokes and pranks. Eventhough he was so serious most of the time, nothing stopped him from having some normal teenage fun like others, even if he didn't do it often and hated parties.

"Yeah. One of the older ones. From when we used to work at the lab."

"Hm... Shoot."

You smiled more as you told the joke. It wasn't the one you initially thought of, because you found that one too awkward to say. "Do you hate Natrium, Broom and Oxide relationship? Na, BrO, it never bothered me."

He thought a second. "It's one of those jokes you printed and put in our science club. Hm..." He looked around. "Why can't you trust an atom?"

You looked at the pink trees nearby, thinking of an answer. You shook your head.

"Because they make everything up." Immediately after hearing the answer you laughed. Maybe a little bit too hard. Soon he shushed you. "Not this loud. Tsukasa might be on his way."

You calmed a bit and kept telling him jokes back and forth.

You truly had fun as you smiled between them.

Before you knew the two of you got up the mountain and started to collect sulfur. You broke the black and yellow tinted rocks that had small holes in them. You looked at the earth around you.

"I once went to a volcano. It might not be the same as a glasier but the rock construction was very similar. Those rocks were black, white, yellow and red. Truly beautiful." You told your friend. Senku was the only one listening. Tajiu and Yuziriha were too consumed with the work.

"So sulfur and iron composition. It's very common. To which one have you been?"

"We went to Mount Etna. We used to travel with my and Tai's parents but..."

Senku interfered as i fell silent. "One on the most active volcanoes left. Must been cool to whiteness it without blowing up."

You chuckled as you wiped a tear. "Yeah, it was."

The four of you messed around with the gunpowder. Tajiu accidentally made it explode when he hit it with a rock but you did find it cool.

"Tsukasa will probably figure out our location now."

Senku immediately looked in thought. He seemed to be dozed off into the distance. "We need to do it again. There has been a sygnal from s distance. It's either a potential ally or a foe. I think we should take the chance."

All three of you knew that Senku was terrible at making moral plans, but you trusted his decision. It was the best idea you had so you did as you were told. He sent you and Tajiu out to gather some firewood, and you left off.

Together with your cousin you went to grab small twigs but something didn't feel right.

"Tai?" You looked at him.

He continued grabbing bigger sticks as you walked."Y/n, I know it might seem unreasonable, I didn't want to leave Yuziriha and Senku alone either, but if anything, they should be safe."

"But what if Tsukasa noticed where they are. I don't want them to get hurt."

Tajiu tried to calm you down, but you kept rambling, without noticing how your speech changed.

"I mean they're both not fighters, I'm neither, but I know how to fight. I know some grips to save them. Why would he tell me to leave. He is too important for me to loose. There isn't much I can do without him. On my own I would have died already in our highschool." You started to talk faster, barely taking a break to breathe. "But he is so amazing and he wants to save the civilization on his own. His motives are so amazing." Before you even noticed you started to tell about how his smile filled you with joy as his eyes were filled with passion.

Tajiu smiled and pet your back. "Don't worry y/n. Senku surely can manage few minutes on his own. And you will see his smile again." He chuckled. "I too find it scary to leave Yuziriha alone with Tsukasa walking around, but it was the best we could do at the moment. They need people who are fast to gather stuff now. So let's finish it up and join them."

You nodded approving, but not really sure if he just didn't compare your relationship with Senku to his crush on Yuziriha. His words managed to calm you down, yet not even a minute passed and he rushed off, whispering "Something is wrong."

You got affraid and ran after him immediately, but once you were there, you could see you both were too late. Senku was dead.

In their defence they may be stupid but marcellus is a) traumatised and b) a child. Idk what marcias excuse is tho 😔 in the esmerelda version she is also so so traumatised and has barely had time to recover from althers death before ending up with a baby for a second time except this time she can't dump it on someone else 😔😔😔 (the bit where she goes to the heaps in that version is So funny,, she shows up like um. Honestly I think real au esmerelda probably had it better than canon esmerelda?? Like in canon everyone had caught on that etheldredda was killing her kids and tried to protect her, in this au etheldredda isn't even killing just the princesses she also killed her son who wasn't a threat at all and everyone is so on guard abt it. Esmerelda is never ever left alone w etheldredda not even once and all the palace staff r so careful abt it

YEAH <3333 septimus and marcellus get along So well here,,, septimus is having some kind of panic attack at one point and marcellus is like look i get it- and seps like LITERALLY NO U DON'T. And marcellus goes haha. Lmao. And then there r explanations (once sep is not actively crying on the floor) and septimus latches onto marcellus as his new favourite person (equal to marcia) and also septimus gets twice the amount of hugs and its all very sweet and nice <3 also I'm assigning marcias rooms another bedroom so marcellus can also stay there 😌 they may already have one?? I think it's mentioned in thm somewhere??? But. I'm putting it properly in the story this time <3 marcellus is staying in the tower while all his alchemy stuff is under construction and marcia HATES it bc he can spot when she's not sleeping and literally pick her up and put her into the bed and it's the WORST and sometimes he makes food and then she has to actually stop what she's doing to eat it and it's awful 😔😔 (<-she's doing better physically and mentally than canon marcia tho so). He's also very much a shoulder to cry on abt dn1 related stuff so literally this marcia is like canon marcia but 100% less. Lonely and sad.

Anyway I got off track,, yeah septimus and marcellus bond over being two guys with the same variety of trauma and both marcia and marcellus r able to help him more in this au than in canon bc they have. Experience. Does it help septimus that much?? Short term kind of long term definitely. Marcellus to septimus is like a kind of cool uncle/sort of dad figure,, they hang out when neither of them have smth else to be doing (sometimes when they do) and marcellus teaches him abt alchemy and marcias like wow marcellus :/ I can't believe you'd steal my apprentice :// that's so rude and mean 😔😔 and he's like lmao <3 and keeps teaching septimus stuff. Also marcellus does eventually tell more ppl abt his Actual backstory and jennas like WAIT WE'RE RELATED????? and decides he's cool actually now that she can bully sep abt how that's her great uncle 🥺 how could he steal him from her like this 🥺🥺🥺

i think the jenna sep marcellus dynamic would be so funny idk how much an age difference they have (depending on AU version i would guess 10-15?) but they probably have the same sort of influence from marcia and all love to make fun of each other. they probably wear purple a lot and don't notice until silas points it out lmao and then make a point to see who can wear the most outlandish purple thing until marcia yells at them.

Technically run away but I am actually writing that, so I’ll lean into the low key abandoned but soon to be resurrected monster hunter Nancy au. I had read a few other monster hunter Nancy/werewolf Robin fics and was worried I couldn’t measure up. I think I also tried to do too much in one fic in my original plan, so I dropped it. It will undergo massive changes for sure. I think simpler is better for me in most cases

8: what’s your relationship with constructive criticism and feedback like? do you seek it out? how well do you take it?

I have a love/hate relationship with it. It HAS to be asked for. Genuinely is so helpful when I have someone beta who can point out weird wording and stuff, or give advice about different aspects. However, unwarranted comments on my fics that criticize the plot or whatever, those bother me more than they should. I think I overreact but it feels rude and tends to make me want to drop the fic for a bit and get self conscious about it. I will seek it out!! But I only want it if I ask for it lmao

10: at what point in the process do you come up with titles, and how easy or hard is that for you?

I honestly tend to do titles pretty early, and often will base vibes somewhat on the title! They’re easy for me because I love to use music lyrics. I’ll take some time to find the perfect song (and because of the range in my music taste, I’ve got something for everything), and then boom a quick look through lyrics and we’re titled

14: what’s your worst writing habit? 

Skipping around. I get bored and move on to the next scene. It becomes a lot harder to make everything flow in a way that makes sense when you have to stitch together pieces like Frankenstein

This has actually changed since I first started. If it’s an au, start with figuring out what roles each character is going to fill. Next (or starting here if not) I get a basic idea of the plot. I tend to kind of just fly by the seat of my pants after that, with a few notes on scenes I’d like to have. I do have two fics with actual outlines (cyberpunk and there in the garden!). Then I toss it all in a Google doc, edit round one, beta, edit round two, and post

26: do you like to write one-shots or series, and why?

Series! I like a good slow burn. Also it’s what I tend to like to read. I like the way you have more chance to explore long term development of characters and relationships, and there’s often a richer, deeper plot, which I LOVE

Dear tumblr reference to my post below. I just want to tell you. Here i am. I camr back better. How? I learned to make the most of my life... Atleast bit by bit. I realized living is a one time thing. Sometimes i feel like a soul assigned to this body so im like how should i take care of this. Sould i put water (drink) blablabla. Lets work out blablabla. Hope u get what i mean.

Anyways yes this has helped me so much to be like. If i feel like wearing something even tho it might feel too much. Isnt really even too much. Lol. And wearing it makes me feel confident and i feel prettier. I feel good. This shouldve been done way before you know. Regardless. Past is past and present is present.

I also learned to be more talkative or like give more information. I learned to take things big. I mean to not figure things in my own and think that it would stupid to make a phone call and ask other people about it, in construction industry, everything is a big deal. That gap, that screw, that glue, that. Cutting, that small detail you once overlooked for will become a reality, so anything off thats on you. It should be perfect from the planning stage.

Hello Anon!

I did go to an art college but am also largely self taught, so ill give whatever tips I can!

When drawing the human figure, I've learned that it's very helpful to measure your proportions against one standard part of the body. Like, I use the head for my measurements. I take a wooden scewer and mark with my thumb how tall and/wide the head is, and I will use that mark to measure the rest of the body. I.E. - how many times does the length of the head fit in the torso? How many times in the arms, legs, width of the back?

I'm crap at explaining, so here is a short video I found on YouTube that I thought might be helpful!

I've also learned that it is SUPER helpful to back up(or zoom out if working digitally) from your drawing. I personally tend to get way too close or zoomed in and that can really mess up your proportions. Viewing the whole image from a distance quite literally puts your drawing into perspective lol.

Line of Action is also a super useful website that has lots of reference drawings! It's nice because you can choose nude models, clothed models, different genders and ages, etc.

New Masters Academy on YouTube also has some wonderful videos with models! I've used a few of their videos when I had Life Drawing finals, because i couldnt go to class cus that's when covid started lol

They have more nude than clothed models, so be wary if you aren't comfortable with that, but it is done very professionally and it is with the intention to learn the human form.

If you can, try to draw from real life because a picture can only give you so much when it comes to depth and weight. I've asked friends and family to hold poses for me while I did a gesture(quick sketchy drawing - the base) so that I could do the details on my own.

If you can, I would suggest getting a 2x3 foot drawing pad (yes feet, not inches lol its huge) so that you can practice doing long strokes of your pencil/charcoal. Moving your arm from your shoulder instead of your wrist will give your strokes more stability and fluidity.

ANYWAYS, this is a lot of info, and I apologize if any of it is incorrect! If you are able, I would highly suggest taking an actual in-person Life Drawing class. I took some really amazing ones at my local community College and it is so different having professional models and an actual professor help give constructive criticism and praise.

If nothing else, keep drawing those funky bodies til you get it right! I have about 10 18x24 inch drawing pads filled with lopsided bodies and weird shading, and it's all part of the process lol, I still draw funky! Just look at what I post here😂😅 Cartoons give a little bit more wiggle room tho haha

So since you studied medicine do you know how draw people anatomically correct? That’s always my issues (I made the legs to long or torso to short, etc), so is there any advice you can give?

Oh gosh I am no artist at all in the slightest my dear lovely, I have very little talent and should not be giving advice on such matters lol. The only thing I can say is that I use myself as a reference a lot when I do scribble once in a blue moon, and that helps with anatomy, but I've only drawn people like... three times? Maybe?

college bruharv is so important to me and college twobruce is perhaps even MORE important to me. yes yes we all KNOW that harvey and bruce spent their college days entirely wrapped up in each other in a tentative space between friends and something more wrestling with homophobia and their personal demons alike and i COULD talk about that for ages but LISTEN. LISTEN.

first of all i think most people dont realize that its incredibly unlikely that 2f just suddenly popped up after the incident. i think 2f is more likely one of the first alters and has been around for a long time, though due to how hard harvey has tried to suppress his did (and continues to try) they have a very complicated relationship that leaves 2f spending most of his time before that point pretending to be harvey and feeling unsure about who he is (and probably suffers from extremely low self esteem due to being a trauma holder with no support network). so, then, when theyre in college, weve got them at a point where theyve done some therapy (in multiple canons harvey knows he has did and was diagnosed with it relatively young, and went to therapy to address it (btas), tho his therapist was..... not great) and theyre living away from their father probably for the first time which any victim of child abuse knows is a whole thing. which is pretty much the perfect time for them to meet bruce

bruce in college is starting his plans to become batman. hes figuring out how to act like a playboy, planting the seeds of the brucie image, and simultaneously trying to learn everything he can without looking like thats what hes doing. hes sorting through trauma in a big way and trying to figure out how to turn it into something constructive, or make it "good damage." harvey is doing much the same thing, albeit less crazy, and for bruce its almost too easy to latch onto this guy who 1) is a huge egghead and helps him study and 2) understands. so they become friends (and a little more), and 2f is suddenly in a position where hes fronting around this guy who believes that hes his best friend in the world

and its bruce. hes a good friend, a safe friend, and when harvey quietly admits that he has did and theyre struggling to get through school life, hes supportive. hes there for them. he doesnt know when 2f is there, but 2f sees him getting books on did, sees him trying to learn, changing his language, trying to understand and support them. he doesnt get all of it but no one has ever even tried before and for the first time in his entire life 2f feels like there might be a person he can be himself around. so slowly, carefully, he starts letting bruce know when hes fronting

i think bruce is 2fs first friend thats his. i think bruce is the first person outside of a therapist who gets to meet 2f and he regularly stops 2f in his tracks just because he knows and yet somehow he doesnt hate 2f. he doesnt blame him when things go wrong, he doesnt think theres anything wrong with him, he just loves him unconditionally the exact same way he loves harvey. its the first time 2f really gets to be himself and explore the ways hes different from harvey around another person and having bruce is huge for him. harvey has so much resentment for 2f and yet bruce just has none, and its the first time anyones really loved 2f and i think that sits with him for the rest of his life. like, years down the line, when 2f is pissed at batman and tearing around the city, hes still got this little soft spot somewhere in his heart for bruce wayne.

this wound up basically being a huge dump about how i vaguely think of their relationship in college in overarching terms but if you want specific headcanons i can do that too alskdjnfsdf just probably in a different post bc this is so long and i got so carried away

A summary on Kaito’s timeline leading up to the event in Zexal. I will leave more personal thoughts for another post. 

Tenjo Kaito, 18 y/o. Birthday/Birthplace: unknown. Deck:photon. 

The above is taken from the official profile projected during WDC. It's reasonable to suspect that the birth-related info was redacted for all Underground duel trainees, since we know that Gauche/Droite were taken in by Mr.Heartland in Spartan City and can assume that's where they were from. So far there are two possible locations suggested for Kaito's birthplace: 1)Heartland City, 2)the cabin next to the forest. It is unclear when/how long it took for Dr.Faker to design/construct Heartland City, but it's worth mentioning that from the anime, Haruto lived in Heartland Tower when he was a baby (the windows behind Orbital taking care of baby Haruto showed somewhere like the City skyline. The interior design also looked similar). Kaito was also seen taking baby Haruto to somewhere like an urban park. 

The timeline thus looks something like this: Kaito, ~12 y/o: - finished building orbital ('Orbital: I have served you for six years, one hundred and fifty-one days, five hours and thirty minutes' -ep. 135) - Some time prior or later to this, Haruto was born. It is unclear why neither parent was present and Kaito and his robot was tasked with taking care of Haruto, even if only part time (but full time for Orbital it would seem) - orbital was shown to be taking care of Haruto by himself, as well as going outside with Kaito and Haruto

Kaito, ~13 y/o: - According to V (who himself was working at Faker's lab alongside his dad then), Dr. Faker was having trouble locating the entrance to 'a different dimension'. - Later they sourced Kazuma's help, and later they were able to narrow down the location and travel there. - Throughout this time, Kaito and Haruto were thought to be living in their cabin away from Heartland City. 

Kaito, from 13 y/o to 18 y/o:      - Haruto was taken away by Mr.Heartland and his subordinates      - Kaito moved to Heartland City. Haruto was 'treated' with some kind of Barian technology      - Kaito met Chris and learned dueling from him. At this point Kaito was using D-gazer and was not wearing the trainee uniform when dueling.      - Chris was shown looking at the Tenjo sibling from upstairs at some point post Haruto's 'operation' (judging from the way his eyes were drawn and that he was in a wheelchair)      - Chris dueled with Kaito for a consecutive week in an experiment to 'test out the survival instinct of a duelist', at this point Kaito was wearing the trainee uniform and using a D-gazer.      - Chris discovered the truth behind his father's missing and left Faker's lab. Kaito chased after Chris in the train and was pushed away      - Kaito training with Gauche and Droite in the facility. Kaito helped Droite out but also told her 'not to rely on others/縋るな'      - Kaito now used photon transformation instead of a d-gazer when dueling. This transformation was shown to be detrimental to his health.      - Kaito started operating as a number hunter under Mr.Heartland. 

What is unclear in this time period:      - When did Kaito and Haruto (and orbital ofc) move to the Cabin. Was there anyone else living with them (hello mOM???) at that time?      - How old was Haruto when he was taken away.          - I don't want to comment TOO MUCH on the art direction of the episodes bUT yOU cannot tell me the Haruto back in the cabin days was one to two years old. Actually I take that back I have no idea what human kids look like.      - How long did it take for Dr.Faker, Bryon and Kazuma to figure out the location of the entrance           - Maybe a clue was the change of season from when Kazuma got picked up to when they left for the canyon. Hard to say, tho.      - How long after Bryon's disappearance were IV and III taken away to an orphanage.           - Maybe not long, since Chris was waiting by the helicopter and potentially returned with Faker           - Faker might even be the one who suggested that IV and III should be sent to an orphanage, who knows. If Kaito could take care of Haruto by himself and his robot I don't see why Chris couldn't do the same with his brothers... ofc we don't know how the law in the City works, but still.      - How old was Chris when he met Kaito, and when he left the Faker lab           - Chris was shown to have grown significantly, both his height and his hair. The shot of him looking at a sleeping Haruto looked just like Byron.           - It is unclear whether this event happened prior or after Kaito's conversation with Droite. I can see it working out both ways.      - At what point, and what kind of operation did Kaito undergo to be able to use photon transformation. Had all people not needing a d-gazer to duel been artificially enhanced? (The Arclights: power of the crest; Droite and Gauche? Perhaps they were also enhanced but not to the same extent as Kaito were?)

It is interesting to note that Kaito's appearance was not shown to change significantly (vs Droite/Gauche/Chris). Another reason also is that Kaito did look visibly younger when he was making Orbital. Maybe people theorize that this could be due to photon transformation suppressing his growth, which is very likely. The photon transformation operation could have started early on, or it could be a one time only surgery once he’s demonstrated his ability. But the procedure should be finished by the time he no longer wore D-gazer for dueling. Also considering the questionable training they were shown to receive, it is easy to imagine the duel trainees not getting enough rest/nutrients when they were still teens.  

Therefore, at first Kaito was not given enough sunshine/food so he couldn't grow, and later he started using photon transformation so now he won't.

Another more meta reason could be... it'd be hard to coordinate poses with him, Yuuma and Ryouga if Kaito were a lot taller.

No wonder why he didn't hang out in Zexal II.
