So, my goal this year was to post at least one fic a month. This is not an unreasonable goal, as I have dozens of finished or very-nearly-finished fics in my WIPs folder. However, writing fic and posting fic are two very different activities for me, and so I literally waited until 6 minutes before the end of February to post anything this month. I have written a bunch of fics for the amazing @hdcandyheartsfest, and I am going to make myself upload all of them, in chaptered installments, to this fic on ao3. (They can all be enjoyed on their own though!)

(If I don't update fast enough, please poke me! My irl bestie and my therapist are both so good about reminding me to share my work, but that doesn't mean I listen all the time 🙃 I'm hoping that maybe the 1,954th reminder might finally do it...)

Second Date

On their second date, Draco gives Harry a bottle of Felix Felicis, thrusting it across the table with far less ceremony or poise than Harry would have ever expected from a Malfoy, muttering something about it not being traditional to give gifts on a second date, but it was finished brewing, so…

"Draco! This is amazing! Did you brew it yourself?" Harry asks, clearly not put-off by this breach of second-date-protocol, if perhaps a little overwhelmed.

"Yes, well, you mentioned that you had used the bottle you won from Slughorn for doing Dumbledore's bidding and ensuring your friends weren't killed by my idiocy, so I thought that perhaps you should also have a bottle for your own enjoyment."

Draco's voice is far too prim, in the way it only gets when he's spectacularly nervous, and Harry's heart squeezes with something far too much like love for this early in the relationship.

"I mentioned that ages ago."

"Felix Felicis takes six months to brew, I couldn't have gotten it to you a moment sooner. Hence the poor timing, I suppose."

Harry can't believe how endeared he is to that snotty little sneer.

"I'm not the one who's stuck up on traditional courting etiquette, Malfoy. I don't care that you've brought me a gift on our second date, I just wish I could have gotten you something too."

Draco starts to brush that last comment off, but Harry interrupts him.

"Wait, this isn't some sort of apology, is it? We've already cleared the air and then some, and you know I wouldn't be here with you tonight if there was still anything from the past standing between us. You don't need to atone for anything with me."

Draco scowls.

"No, it's not an apology."

At Harry's suspicious frown, he presses on, "Alright, it may have been one in the beginning, when I first started brewing it. But I still couldn't believe we were friends then, that you could be so nice to me and forgive me - yes, Potter, I know I "put the work in" as you so often say, but even still - and I just felt so sad for who you were when you were sixteen. You had so few good things, and it seemed like all of them were taken from you, or twisted for the War, and I wanted to go back in time and fix that. But, of course, I couldn't, so, I made you Felix Felicis instead, to sort of replace what Dumbledore and I had both taken from you. I just,"

He looks up from his hands, where he has been fidgeting with the tablecloth the whole time he's been speaking, and Harry isn't sure he can hold any more love in his heart; this is it, his future is fixed on this man and he can't do anything about it, even if he wanted to, "I wanted you to have something nice. Something just for you."

Harry can't help it then. He leans over the table, takes Draco's face between his hands, and kisses him.

Hi, I was a bit confused ( like you want me only list bots, not humans?), especially if you want only the continuities you listed or all of them? Anyway, I'll do all bc as I was thinking about the answer I got some interesting thoughts. So prepare your tea and sit comfortably ~

Generation 1

In G1 cartoon they made it seem like Bumblebee just gets along with everyone. But I can't remember if Bee had someone among bot who we could consider his best friend. This title really went to Spike exclusively and I know you said to list bots only, bear with me here.

This fits into Bumblebee's struggles, because he's weak, but humans weak too so he feel he belong with them more than his own people. And Bumblebee still friends with Spike even after the human grows up and has a family (and the fact its the only time they show passage of time like this with a human character?)! We don't see Bee a lot on later seasons so I like to assume he just hangs out with Spike's family most of the time.

It would be so dope if they actually explored the idea of human mortality and how cybertronians would handle the invertible. But it never happens in canon even in "serious" continuities. And same even in fandom spaces. I only once stumbled upon the fic where Bee gets super anxious because Spike is getting older, really long time ago. Of course I wrote a story about this, but still, I can't be the only one thinking about this. In G1 based comics it's kinda the same thing, except IDW where Bumblebee has NO FRIENDS ( nor bot or human). Like he had some pals in the past, but he lost them all. In IDW2 there is Windblade who was established as Bumblebee's bestie but they way it was written... it was very cold friendship judging by panels I saw. Not a fan. Ah yes, I didn't watched the Netflix version, so idk, but considering how writers decided to deconstruct the character for no reason I can assume he has no friends at all.

Bayverse

I can's really say anything, I watched only first and second movies and again, Bee was bonded with a human. Same with Bee-movie, I know it's not technically bayverse, but sadly, Bee has the same the design and I still can't watch the movie bc of it xD

Animated

This is very clear that Bumblebee bot bestie is Bulkhead. And if both Bumblebee and Bulkhead were written better we would have a really dope character dynamic. Tho their dynamic is fun even as it is ( Bee crawling all over Bulkhead like a spider is Halloween episode cracks me up), but sadly Bee just never develops as a character.

Prime

I can't say anything about because I didn't really watched the show. I started, didn't liked it and dropped it. The entire aligned continuity isnt really for me, so I skipped Rescue Bots and RiD15. Though, I did like "War for Cybertron" game a lot, and maybe I would watch Prime if character designs were from that game. In the game Bee didn't had any besties.

Cyberverse

Here Bumblebee has bonds with few bots. First one is Windblade and I absolutely loved it. Their relationship was amazing and warm and physically tactile, and that's how I started ship them. Then we see Hot Rod and, now deceased, Blurr and later Bumblebee bonds with Cheetor.

This show had so much potential, like the buildup in S1 was nice and well established dynamic between Bumblebee and Windblade, but then it was all thrown out the window. Windblade was sidelined entirely in S2 as Bee hands out with Hot Rod and Cheetor ( as it's the typical all boys gang no girls allowed) after all this demonstration how close those two are in S1?? Meh.

And when Cheetor sacrifices himself? Bee looks sad at this moment, and then moves on like thing happened and it didn't affect him? What is this?? Ugh.

Right it's too early to say, but we can already see that Bee has a very sibling-like bond with Arcee. And from the trailer it looks like Bee is good friends with Breakdown which is interesting. Maybe he was the reason why Bee picked the racer car after his VW Beetle mode? We will see~

I think it's all? There is Shattered Glass too, but I have no idea, cant say anything. I hope it was enough)

where did i stop. ah yeah. Rolan our Princess in distress. Ouh boy.

-first of all, big hype for the game to have this many fake endings. always keeping in on my toes like "what do you mean it's not over"

-The last official island was so fucking scary. The ambiance was really top notch but at what cost. Truly "there's no reason for the skies to be blue" call back.

-Having to fight dark versions of all the big boss primals we fought so far was really cool, it's fun also to see how much more used we are to them now.

Io is so funny.

-ID IS MY BEST FRIEND I WANT TO KISS HIS FACE IM SO AAAAAAAAH. When he came to join us i was crying i'm so happy.

-The reveal about what he is was great though. I did wonder about it before but i thought connecting him directly to Bahamut would have been maybe a little too big. But in the end, that was what the game was going for anyway lmao. But that does explain why Id found a bit of his humanity back by being around Lyria. She probably pulled him out of the mind-restrainer that way.

(speaking of which i mentioned as soon as Lyria appeared with that collar that Id had the same around his neck but no one was bringing it up in game so i thought i was insane about it. So glad i was right. So not glad of how it was confirmed.)

-This is SOOO RAGAZZO CORE THOUGH.

Like honestly Lilith was a great mix of multiple Granblue antagonists: she has a bit of all the astrals in her like i mentioned earlier, the fact her final boss battle was her fusing with a primal in desperation is really like Freesia, stuff like that....... but her relationship with Id in particular was REALLY a lot like Ferdinand and Ragazzo it was chilling to see.

she "adopted him" and immediately put a mind control collar on his neck, in order to lock a god inside of him because the god thwarted her plans, but she taught Id how to use this power, and have him be her son. so when he betrayed her, she played the whole ":) mom is so sad for your betrayal" which is exactly how Ferdinand played off Ragazzo's betrayal.

So like "grooming children into becoming her pawns and not telling them that in her greater plan there is only pain" is sooo Ferdinand coded--

but it's Id's way of, after realizing the abuse and horrors, still loving his mother so much, but in a way where he understands she needs to be taken down, so it's his responsibility as a son at least to take her down for all the horrors..... this is soooo Ragazzo coded.

also the way Id turns into a dragon form reminds me of Ragazzo's harmonized form which adds to the whole thing. + Lilith actually harming him in order to turn him into a weapon she intends to use, only for him to throw her off the island. again, very Ferdinand&Ragazzo coded.

the way they all immediately adopted him is making me cry though, always

Id we have a few people in our crew that started off by kidnapping Lyria and now are our besties. you'll fit right in.

-the two others generals also coming to help us with the bosses + against Lilith waas SO FUCKING COOOOL . I think they're so neat. I love Granblue's insistance on redeeming about everyone.

-amazing line from Vyrn.

-Literally would kill for Id.

-always loving a good power of friendship.

-The boss fight against Lilith was really cool. had a lot of brainworms about astrals' mentality and the way they basically are so self reliant they just see how they get to use others for their own gain, not how they can be helped

-which now makes me think is probably why Rolan felt so ashamed that he did start out "using us" against Lilith instead of just relying on us, knowing that this would be the same result anyway. Like i think it's fine and all but it explains the guilt he felt so much.

-Anyway final fight with Lilith, and she breaks the mindcontrol collar from Id, and if it's manually broken it drives people insane, which, linked to his bond with Bahamut, just unleashes a rampaging Bahamut on the skies. huh oh.

but ofc determined to save Id and all, we go on:

-This made me chuckle and cry at once. Eugen knows so well the suffering he brought his daughter by being such a shitty father and he knows she doesn't want him to fix it and everything, that now he sees any kid with a failure of a parent and he's like "it's okay i can be your parent now too.". What a guy.

-btw next ticket went to Ferry

-cried during this part so took screenshot. Pure quintessential granblue experience.

then we have to fight a rampaging Id and just.

The more we play the game and sidequests to help Id build his reputation as Mister Fix It the more we'll get some plots about Id reclaiming his own life now and everything.

-All in all the game was just perfect and i cried a lot

I ended up taking a job at Starbucks instead!! It's been pretty good so far. I have so many cool coworkers, it's unionized, and we even did a national walk out during one of Starbucks' big sales. Also....I realized yesterday that I've had customers introduce themselves and ask for my name for the first time ever??? In over eight years of working in the service industry. Like, you'd think Starbucks customers would be entitled and spoiled because they're picky and do so many modifications, but they've been overwhelmingly nice and so much better than the people at Panera. I get the same pay, more consistent hours, and better benefits, too once they kick in in about a month. Also I have some cute coworkers and there's cute customers ahhhhhhh I'm too gay

And!!! I finally got to hang out with my Doe after like...over a year of not seeing each other! It was so nice. We played Pokemon and cuddled and talked about our relationship. It's very low commitment. She's just been burned in the past by people and she's so busy that it's hard for her to find time for anything besides school and work.

Also, it's obvious she feels the same way. She's basically said everything but "I love you", and when I say it she gets so flustered ahhhh it's adorable. I can't believe I've found not one, not two, but three people who are amazing and good to me and who make me feel special in their own unique ways. They're all very Max Caulfield, too, which is hilarious to me. I definitely have a weakness for soft, awkward, sad girls omg.

I started therapy back up, too. My therapist is a very blunt middle aged woman who smokes and cusses and is super nice and reassuring. It's been hard thinking about and feeling old hurts again, but I know that I definitely still have a lot of work to do. I want journaling more here to be a part of that, and I want to get back to writing things that are...actually fun and not painful? I miss the fun part of being creative. I want to make worlds and stories again. I miss that so much.

Not sure what else to say. I'm here, still living and surviving. Still very broke but hopefully that will change soon with this new job. Still in love with three wonderful people. I'm sad and tired a lot but at least I'm not alone in it. I miss my best friend a lot but I know I'm way better without her. It's obvious now that she didn't feel the same way, which hurts, but it means I have space for a way better bestie. I hope I can find that one day. And I hope I can have a pet pig one day, too.

So I go from absolutely forgetting every bad thing that had ever happened to me to full-on crying about a failed relationship I was still not over!!! In the middle of 5th Avenue, no less!!!!

Idk if you've heard the full thing, but it is DEPRESSING! It's basically the opposite of Francesca (or the "I'd do it all over again" motif) ! He literally sings "And there are some people, love, who are better unknown" like??? Imagine thinking you're better off never someone than knowing them at all! They're in their own universe probably looking at rings as we speak! Or face-timing since he's out on the road! Good for them!

This is also not an insult to long-distance relationships in general. I loved that shit. It was wonderful! The guy, though? He sucks! And I am still doing some reflecting on that (which I am sure will continue once I force myself to listen to Unknown in a non tik tok way!)

Soooooooooooooo ... remember when I said Yoongi's full transformation made me ask myself if I had a danger kink? Well Jimin's full transformation does not ... he scares me the same way a prey is scared by a predator. It's hard to focus on his half transformation because his full transformation makes me feel like I should keep him in my eyesight at all time!

I've been rereading some of SA's chapters recently because someone is currently going through the journey for the first time and keeps commenting and I just want to reread the story JFJADFJ and throughout all of SA, Jimin excudes danger. Like you just know that he is bad news so it makes me very happy that I could portray his danger well.

Interestingly what makes me really on edge is not is teeth but his eyes. They're blank, if you ask me what humanity turned off look like I would say him in this drawing. Yoongi was scary but you could still see something in his eyes, you could guess what he was thinking but you can't do that with Jimin.

Also the position of his head, it looks like he is looking down on us with his head lightly tilted up, which means he is exposing his neck to us and that's scary because no predator would do that unless the prey is perceived as really weak. And you used black to shadow so it's also really hard to make sense of his head position because black darken without giving depth. If you don't look closely it looks like he has a really long neck which is even scarier because it's definitely not human but very noticeable from a distance.

Onto his half transformation now, he is smiling but I can see sadness in his eyes and that breaks my heart. If I have to guess he is either still under Namjoon's influence or he just meet OC and the rest again. It's hard to say if he is smiling because he has too or if he is feigning happiness while being worried about Namjoon and feeling confused about the new relationship between Taehyung, Yoongi, OC and the Sanguis vampires. But then again, as reader we don't get a lot of insight in Jimin's mind, so it's hard to tell what he was feeling after being resurrected.

I don't think I gave Rohan enough credit about how awful he feels over this. Like - I stand by what I said about it still being directly at Angus' expense but...

Rohan is the other half of that friendship. He's just as close to Angus as Angus is to him. It's some genuine ride-or-die shit - yes, Angus is usually the one having to act it out 'cause Rohan is almost always the one going, "HEY I'M GONNA GO TOUCH A DRAGON LOL," and because most of the hijinks that Angus gets into is shit he figures out how to fix by himself (or that the whole group gets involved in with fixing), but Rohan leads the charge when it's Angus who finally does needs help.

Rohan's there in the first episode actively helping Angus sneak in, and Angus is the only person he even considers bringing on this definitely life-threatening journey to the fairies. Angus gets mind-controlled by that random wizard guy from hell? "OH FUCK OH SHIT OH FUCK OH NO WE HAVE TO FIND HIM NOW NOW NOW NOW NOW NOW THIS IS EXACTLY THE ARMY I WANTED TO SEND BACK IN LIKE EPISODE 6 oh hi deirdre"

So it does say how much hope Rohan had that a 'family' was some even more magical, amazing, perfect dream than his relationship with Angus. He's spent his whole life building it up in his head. He's so stupid about it that he assumes it should give him an insta-truce with Lugad because they're half-brothers - where, if he'd had any sense at all, he would've remembered that other time Angus was mind-controlled and started fighting him, where Angus did his whole ":3 oh it's you rohan why are we fighting lol?" and then went right back to kicking rohan's ass, which should've been the "BROTHERS WILL FUCKING FIGHT YOU" lesson. But Rohan never makes that connection because he's so mesmerized by the fantasy of family being something else.

I'm (once again) thinking about that episode with the wish, where Angus' last straw is Rohan being like, ":3 i'd use a wish to learn who my family is." Yeah, there have been three other people badgering him about what to wish for, but how many times growing up has Rohan said something like, "Wow, Angus, you're my best friend! Not my brother though, because being a brother is gonna be ten times better! Wow, I can't wait until I have a brother someday"? That's some wear-you-down "yes rohan i'm sure it's great :/" shit. Especially when Rohan gets after the others for badgering Angus and is like, "That's not what friendship is! D:<" Dude - you're beyond friendship. You wouldn't have even had your own wish to badger Angus with if you just realized you'd already found your family!

I dunno - obviously it's a kid's show that only got one season, and they did put a lot of emphasis on Angus' reaction when they thought Rohan was dying (which was very sweet, I loved that), but I wish they'd had a line where Rohan said something like, "I understand now that you're my family (to Angus). You're all my family (to everyone)", instead of jumping to the line where he says it to all of them. Angus making his unrelated, borderline changing-the-topic jokes after that almost come across as, "Oh, everyone's your family, huh? 🙄 Cool," and that's a bummer.

Just wanted more of a one-on-one acknowledgement of it, since those two have been through so much and Rohan's arc of "What's a friend and what's a family" is 90% tied up in one person, with another 5% for Cathbad and a last 5% for the rest of them.

I want that direct acknowledgement because I do think Rohan would've sat down at one point, thought about his whole life with Angus up to now, and finally realized, "Damn. He's really been there for me, hasn't he? :( That's what family is." Pleeeeeease let that have been the first time Rohan actually stepped up and appreciated Angus (even if it was off-screen) instead of having Angus swallow it down again because, "That's just how Rohan is 🫠"

But the moment where I assume Rohan definitely 100% did that off-screen is the one that made me sad. Because that's a lifetime of thinking and dreaming and wishing to have to go, "Oh. This is as good as it gets." Not because Angus isn't enough, but because Rohan wanted a 'real' family so, so much. Honestly, the crash of that reality finally forcing itself to be known might be the whole reason Angus has never pushed it until it was threatening to get Rohan killed by Lugad.

'Cause Angus is a fuckin' bro. 👏🏼

😭😭😭😭 Can you imagine an episode in season two - the one we never got and I'm glad we never got because apparently Vincent Walsh wasn't gonna be in it for some reason???? - where Rohan's trying to connect with Lugad and being like:

Rohan: "This isn't working! This isn't how brothers are supposed to be! Maybe we can't read each other's minds because we're only half-brothers? 🤔"

Everyone else: "Rohan, brothers can't read each other's minds. That wizards."

Rohan: "No but we're brothers! We're supposed to be able to know what the other's thinking and know how they feel and know exactly what to say at every second!"

Everyone else: "That's wizards, group therapy and probably a wizard again."

Rohan: "D: Well... Okay, what are Lugad and I supposed to be like then, if I have it so wrong?"

Ivar: "Here's what I do with my brothers!"

Garrett: "Here's what I do with my brothers!"

Angus: "You're thinking of the number 437."

Everyone: "What."

Angus: "haha no i'm just joking"

Rohan: 👀

Angus: 👀

In the top 10 heartbreaking moments of the show, we have absolutely got that part where - after Lugad shows up - Rohan's waffling on whether or not he can fight him, and when Angus says something like, "You're comparing Lugad to the family that raised you," Rohan's like ":( u don't understand, he's my brother" and runs away.

Literally the whole show is Rohan or Angus going on and on about how long they've known each other, actually using that to break the Enchantment Of The Week the one time Rohan gets all scared of everything, and throwing that in both of their faces during that episode where Angus gets framed and Rohan's accused of lying to cover for him 'cause "isn't it true you'd do anything to help him" (lmao no random village-lawyer man, it's the other way around 🙃).

But the whole show is also very, very careful about having them call each other their best friend exclusively. It's like a hard line drawn between that and between Rohan whining about wanting to know who his family is (also kinda throwing it in Angus' face in the episode where Rohan says, "I'd use a wish to find out my family is"), so - like... you'd think it wouldn't be such a surprise to anyone. They also fight all the time because "Punching someone in the face is an excellent way to break through spells 💖" and "Rohan wtf did you say to him now"

Buuuuut Rohan doesn't meet his family until the end of the show, so those two talking about 'best friends' basically means 'brother' until Lugad shows up and they finally have something to compare it to. And the second after that comparison's made, Rohan downgrades everybody else in his mind. Particularly Angus.

It just says a lot that Rohan's an orphan who was adopted by a druid (and by Angus first lmao #Rohan's Primary Caretaker) and never shuts up about wanting to know his real family, and Angus - who is ALSO AN ORPHAN but wasn't taken in by anyone who wasn't a guard dragging his ass off to jail - never mentions wanting to know his 'real' family even once.

... 'cause...

He's got one.

It's Rohan.

Obviously.

So right up until the point where Angus asks Rohan, "Dude, you know you've got us, right? Like we've been the people raising you this whole time. We're your family. Specifically me," it's like Angus was always fully confident in how Rohan saw him 'cause he just assumed it was mutual, especially when Rohan is all Angus has and we see him endlessly demonstrating it (to the point of Angus solo-taming a dragon mid-argument-where-Angus-was-absolutely-correct-to-be-pissed-at-Rohan to go rescue the guy and later being like, "Cathbad's magic wasn't enough to help Rohan in today's episode, so I'm gonna go yell at King Fin Varra WHICH IS ORDINARILY A BAD IDEA 'cause I'm not gonna let Rohan live cursed by whatever-the-fuck Maeve did to him this week")...

... and Rohan shatters that by effectively saying, "That's nice, dear. Hey so this guy who showed up five days ago, and that I found out was my half-brother two days ago? He now means more to me than you, who - and I cannot stop joining you in emphasizing this every episode - I have known for pretty much my entire life, even before I met Cathbad and was definitely relying on you to keep us alive 'cause I'm too hoighty-toighty to be a thief even if I was starving, and we 100% were starving back then because you still eat like someone who never had reliable access to food. actually who even are u lol ew go away"

I mean, in the show, Angus just switches to being like, "k cool i'm gonna go crash garrett's car into a tree for fun now," but Rohan said that to his *face*.

You think you know a guy and dedicate your life to keeping the idiot alive...

(also yes i know it's because the no-family thing hits rohan extra-hard and he's going through some shit and everyone's trying to prey on his emotions so he never really got to angus' level of "ya obviously we're family, screw everyone else", so it's not like i'm saying rohan is doing this on purpose lol. the poor guy has some viciously low self-esteem and he does seem like he feels terrible about this - but he always feels terrible about it and it's always directly at angus' expense until someone (usually angus himself) fixes rohan's problem, and then angus has to be like, "🫠 it's fine, that's just how rohan is, i'm gonna make out with deirdre for a while ok")

Recently Finished

About Youth (Gaga or Viki) 8 - I don’t think this show had enough time to explore all of its ideas, but this show is a valuable addition to the Summer ‘22 High School BL Extravaganza. The cast is just so beautiful, and the boys from Taiwan continue to give earnest performances that I find incredibly endearing. Fuck Ye Guang’s parents, though. <review stolen from @bengiyo cause this is perfect> Also want to add that I felt the ending fell flat. I still would give it a solid 8 score buttttt. Too many unresolved or didn't make sense moments.

Senpai, This Can’t Be Love! (Gaga or Viki) 6 - Very disappointing finish. I felt the lack of communication to be overly juvenile, so I can’t walk away from this show envisioning them as a functional couple at all. <once again stolen> Add to it that this just didn't portray a realistic adult relationship. Who doesn't even video chat?!? Characters are cute and there are really cute moments so don't fully avoid it but it is a 6.

Love Mechanics (WeTV) 9 - I love this relationship so much. I know a lot of people don't but I feel it's a pretty realistic portrayal of a young couple. Who haven't been in many relationships. I mean Vee had one girlfriend when he found Mark. The drama added up for me which made the sweet moments that much sweeter. I also group watched this with @ellaspore and @annie0183 which I totally recommend. Get some besties that are as unhinged as you so that you can cackle and throw popcorn at the same time. Also rewind shower scene 7 times. Don't judge!

Mr. Unlucky has no Choice but to Kiss or Fukou-kun wa Kiss Suru Shikanai! (Gaga or Viki) 8 - This had me at the word go. There are details that make you wonder and then you get to the end and go, ahhhh. There is love at first sight and a grumpy character that's loveable. Those are my jam and this brought it with more.

Currently Watching

Takara-kun & Amagi-kun (Gaga or Viki) 10 - I love this craziness of Amagi-kun and the devotion but in ability to communicate of Takara-Kun. They are adorable and I always get excited when I'm about to watch their episode. It has a very Accident Love feel and I adore that one as well.

Love in the Air (iQIYI) or Youtube You know when you read a smut book and it has just enough plot that you understand why the characters are having sex? Once Again (Gaga or Viki) - OMG, this show has taken my breath from me. I didn't think it would be something I would like but I was having a sad day and went, something new. personal headcanon that xiao absolutely loves stargazing since he believes the stars are the one true constant in his life especially since he’s experienced so much loss (basically they’ll never leave him god i hate myself why do i make everything SAD)

mini headcanon off of that - he doesn’t stargaze with people,,, like ever 

it’s something he loves to do alone so the fact that he lets you stargaze w him and even allows you to shift your head onto his lap while you watch the sky is a huge deal 

he loves it when you softly whisper abt how your day was or something you saw that made you laugh 

he just loves hearing your voice, it automatically calms the voices in his head 

you absolutely ADORE when he has flowers in his hair especially cecilias (cecillias? ceccillias? idfk) and you make a point whenever you go to mondstadt to pick a fresh batch of cecilias just for xiao while enlisting the help of your favorite bard  

these soft moments on the mountain are usually when you’ll sweetly tuck in a flower or two in his hair while laughing

Don’t fret too much abt figuring it out. Understanding comes in time, even if it is frustrating. I get the feeling with romance. Sometimes I wonder if I like the idea of a relationship or if I wanna be in one. And chances are, it’s because of my experience with romance. I’m 19 and haven’t dated once. And while I wanna say it’s because I’m too flustered to date, it could be from my complex views on it. I’ve seen many relationships fall apart— my parents sadly being one of them— but I’ve also seen them thrive.

Honestly, romance is scary. Relationships in general are scary. All types, too! It takes time and sometimes you don’t wanna be anything but just besties. Like me and my bestie! We once had crushes on each other :wheeze: but we know we’re better off as friends.

You don’t need a romantic relationship to be happy and have a good life. Sometimes, people do better off being single :)

If you ever berate yourself for liking fictional characters, don’t! It’s been shown that people on the aroace spectrum tend to like fictional characters more than real people! Mostly due to it being easier to connect to the characters.

I won’t lie, Seer’s sexuality won’t ever be stated. But there’s very high chances they’ll be demi/Ace coded. Reading through a lot of the fanfics, I’ve seen a lot of them develop romantic feelings at a more… Idk if it’s fast but at a pace that makes me go “??? How does one develop it so fast??”
