I know I just got done with ranting about tfp/rid2015 starscream’s character but, if you couldn’t tell by my other rid2015 posts, I’m obsessed with rid2015 bumblebee and when I tell you I love this scene of bumblebee making fun of starscream I’m not exaggerating it’s so cathartic to me

“But bumblebee is a good/hero character, why is he being so mean—” did you forget how much starscream hurt bumblebee in tfp?

He killed cliffjumper who, while probably not as close to bee as he was to arcee, was still close friends with bee

He stole the omega keys from the autobots’ base and handed them over to megatron, practically dooming Cybertron at the time to be remade in megatron’s image — of course the autobots get them back last minute, but that doesn’t change how much that loss effected all of them (evidence: optimus shouting in anger for the first and to my memory only time in the series) — including bumblebee

And his greatest offense towards bumblebee in my opinion—

DESTROYING BUMBLEBEE’S T-COG

“But it was silas and M.E.C.H. that took it in the first place—” HE DIDN’T NEED TO HELP SILAS USE IT AFTERWARDS “but Ratchet was able to fix it—” THAT DOESN’T GET RID OF THE TRAUMA THAT WHOLE EXPERIENCE CAUSED HIM

It’s also incredibly fucked once you think about it more because the t-cog is literally a cybertronian organ — while silas is at least mostly detached from how screwed this is since it’s more like taking parts from a robot than surgery to humans, starscream shouldn’t be since he’s also a cybertronian

Instead of being freaked out and recognizing how messed up silas’ actions are like any rational bot would, he helps silas make his fake-bot-that’s-using-another-bot’s-stolen-organ work by providing him with energon (the [at the time] incredibly scarce resource that helps all bots survive) and — after that plan falls through because of bumblebee finding them — he destroys the bot’s organ for no reason other than he wanted to escape and thought that was a good way to distract him

I just—I’m sorry?? I feel like bumblebee is incredibly justified for clowning on this cringefailure of a bot for what he’s done to him

And this isn’t even mentioning what he’s done against the autobots as a whole (both on and off screen) that has probably hurt bumblebee by proxy

I feel like it’d be justified if bee also killed starscream — he already got to kill the bot that destroyed his voice box, I think bee deserves another murder as a treat <3

Your lumbering eyes blink heavily to the flaunting streaks of the peeking sun seeping through your bedroom shades. A heavy distinctive weight of multiple objects weighs all over and around your sleeping form, a low grumble tittering off from your supple lips.

Gradually stirring awake from your deep slumber, you glance down at your chest to a note with a beautifully fully blossomed peony taped to the feeble paper. Blinking, you sit upright and take the note into your hands, carefully holding the gorgeous, flourishing flower and reading over the neatly familiar font written in perfect alignment.

Sorry that me and Satoru are not there to hold you in our arms and spoil you with endless kisses and affections, but we had to do some...shopping for your surprise for tonight. (I really didn't want to spoil anything about it but I guess I kind of did...)

As you can tell, Satoru had bombarded you with boundless hoards of gifts on you. He was dead set on drowning you in a heap of stuffed animals, jewelry and your favorite type of throw blankets. He's utterly ridiculous, but he loves you incessantly so I suppose that makes up for it haha.

A tender smile seeps onto your cheeks, glancing up and around the bundled stock of adorable stuffed animals, fluffy throw blankets and fancy expensive boxes that you'd presumed to be the priceless jewelry Satoru had hauled for you. Your heart flutters warmly, frantically at the adoring thought.

A bit much don't you think, Toru?

"Oh 'Toru..." you giggle softly under your breath, your softened eyes scrolling back onto the heart felt letter in your free hand.

We should be back home in a few hours or so, so please enjoy your comfortable day lounging about my love. We'll bring home some snacks on our way back.

Oh, and my gift for you (minus the flower of course, because I think I remembered you saying that Peonies were your favorite some time ago) is in in the living room. I hope you like it angel :)

Still holding onto the flower in your hand, you gleefully make your way into the living room. Stopping immediately at the frame of your bedroom door as your pupils dilate with vast enchantment and wonder.

With your ceiling littered with heart shaped balloons of soft pink, rose gold and white, the dining room table neatly decorated with two tall standing candles, silverware and dishes adroitly placed and pink rose petals lightly scattered along the sleek table cloth and your dishes - you couldn't help the overwhelming warmth resonating deep within your heavy chest.

Those thick, kindred tears welling back at the corners of your blurry irises.

"Suguru..." you hardly whispered out with a soft gasp, blown out watery irises carefully skimming along the beautifully decorated room from their courteous hard work.

Light footing of your delicate steps drew you close to the breath taking scenery displayed out before you. Daintily, you brush the pad of your fingers along the silken table cloth and rose petals that swarmed over your dining room table. Thoroughly, admiring every detail and care they took to prep this, just for you.

Your eyes spot another note in the middle of the table, folded in half and nestled against one of the standing candles.

You carefully take it and open the smaller note.

I hope everything is to your liking angel, I wanted to make everything as perfect as I could for you :) I hope it's not too much.

Murph: Ohhh, welcome to 8-bit book club, the only book club that makes you dumber! I'm Brian Murphy joined as always by my life slash comedy partner Emily Axford. Emily: Kamehameha! [Caldwell laughs] Murph: That has nothing to do with what we're doing today! [Emily laughs.] We're doing a Mario book and you're just shouting things from Dragon Ball Z? And now you're just laughing and you're just out of commission? And, um, why not, the Krillin to my Goku, Caldwell Tanner. [Emily and Caldwell laugh. Emily continues wordlessly laughing in the background as Murph and Caldwell talk.] Caldwell: I had a whole thing about Koopas ready and you fuckin' threw it off! Murph, laughing: Yeah, the whole thing's thrown off. We… Caldwell: We're already off the path. Murph: We're already off the path! Emily's been so weird the past few days, I was just telling Caldwell about how she's been prankin' me. By-- (laughs) She went to Starbucks the other day, I asked her to get me a large iced coffee, she insisted she was only gonna get me a small iced coffee. And then, Emily, do you wanna tell everyone the prank that you did when you came back? Emily: Okay. Then I-- Caldwell: Yeah, tell them the excellent goof that you pulled. Murph: Yeah, the good switcheroo! Emily: Okay, here's the good switcheroo! [Caldwell laughs.] I came back and I said-- "I know you wanted a large, I wanted to get you a small, so I split the difference and I got you a venti… straw." And I gave him a small iced coffee but with the biggest straw there. [Caldwell laughs] Murph: Yeah, so… it was… Emily: Did it look pretty silly as I was walking home from? Yeah! I think everyone probably saw me and was like "that girl's going to goof!" Murph: It was-- it was pretty silly, it was definitely a harmless goof, and yet it was-- um-- she ultimately did me a favor that I didn't wanna say thank you for. You know what I mean? Caldwell: Right. Right, cause you didn't-- it didn't keep you up? It was the right sized coffee that you needed? Murph: Well, no, it was nice thing for her to pick me up a coffee when she was out, but then she owned me when she came home. [Emily laughs] For no reason! Caldwell: Did the barista ask-- were they like-- "Well, I don't understand, you don't have a venti drink." Did you have to explain that you were taking your husband to goof town? Emily: Um, no. I would have said those words exactly if they had asked, but actually it's sort of a self service station for straws there at Starbucks. Caldwell: Oh, right. Emily: So I was using the Starbucks self-service straw station. Caldwell: They probably get a lot of people picking up those venti straws for like, crafts and stuff. They're very sturdy. Emily: Oh, yeah. You could also make a gorge necklace out of them! Murph: Yeah, you could make a good straw cabin out of that! Caldwell: Mhm. A straw-bridge. Murph: What the fuck are we talking about? [Emily and Caldwell laugh] Um, we-- wuh. Man, I can't even talk.
