Harley snorts at Ame's comment. She really does know me so well, huh?

"Well, duh. It's my birthday, so if I wanna postpone the stream, I can always use birthday privileges. Besides, I've already been going for 12 hours anyway."

She sighs, nuzzling into Ame's neck. "You're a better birthday present than any of those losers combined."

She was only making a lighthearted jab at her followers, which they've long come to expect considering her status as a Digital Demon, but the sentiment about Ame was genuine. She's shown much more of herself to Ame than she has to anyone else over these past couple of weeks. More of her mind, her body, and her heart.

Not that she hasn't been open with her friends and her Aunt, but she loves them in different ways. Ame was just as important to her now, especially with how much the both of them know about each other. They could tear each other apart, a mutually assured destruction that would ruin the both of them in an irreversible way. But neither of them wanted to, and that in and of itself was a miracle.

Both of them were no strangers to sarcasm, laughing at clichéd stories they could never see themselves in. But they were laughing together, weren't they? They could always make their own stories together, ones that served them better.

Making fun of bad movies at the theater, playing arcade games together, walking through the city and visiting the park, going to the Aquarium, having fun at the Amusement Park…

The future was full of endless potential, endless possibilities, endless adventures. And Harley wants to explore as much as she can with Ame.

She's never imagined herself settling down with anyone, because really, who in the world would have the patience, the dedication, the willingness to play along, the ability to keep up, slow her down, or have the openness to spend on her? Who would want to? And yet here Ame is, with a gift for her. It was small, something she bought last minute, because Harley didn't tell her when her birthday was. The fact that Ame went out of her way for her, especially when compared to Ame lacking the motivation to clean her own house… it's special.

She gasps once she opens the gift, marveling at the small key chains Ame had gotten for her. In that signature Jirai Kei style she'd come to associate with Ame, though it was hardly a bad thing.

In fact, when she'd see outfits relating to it come up on her feed, she'd saved them as something to show to Ame later. It makes her feel warm, imagining Ame's delighted expression at what she could wear for her next outing.

Matching key chains, a symbol of the two of them being inseparable, proudly wearing the fact that they're together without risking Ame's career. In a way, it was genius. Secretive, but not ashamed.

She smiles, full of fondness, and a feeling that leaves her holding her arms behind her back. Bashful, as she holds onto both of the chains. Love.

"I want Kuromi." She finally says, taking one of the key chains. "She reminds me of you, so I wanna look at her whenever I can't look at you, or I miss you. Not that she could ever beat the real deal, but… yeah."

She then steps forward, pulling in Ame for a kiss as she puts the My Melody key chain in her hands.

"Plus, if I'm gonna live rent free in your head, I gotta be pretty in pink, yeah?"

Once Ame starts flickering the lights, she knows it's showtime. She stops, looking around in confusion, her brows furrowing.

"Wh-What the hell??"

The comments seem to be sharing in her bewilderment, some even jumping into panic, while others try to remain calm.

☆ WAHHH THE LIGHTS !!!!!! ☆ Um?????? ☆ wtf is going on O _ o ☆ Everyone, stay calm… ☆ this is what happens when you don't call the electrician smh

"Oh come on, I just fixed this!"

If Harley jumped a little at the more rapid flickering, no she didn't. Well, no act works unless you buy into it, and Harley knew she had to start getting frantic.

"Hey, this isn't fucking fun-"

And then, the moment the lights shut off, she plays an electric power outage SFX that she'd created herself. Originally, she was planning to use it for a short game she wanted to make, but she figures there was no better use for it than now. Besides, she can always make a new one.

The comments start going so fast, she hardly has the time— or really cares—to read them all.

Two seconds before the sound stops, and the stream is cut. She quickly closes all browsers and shuts off her computer. Grayson looks startled, until he looks over at Ame and inspects the remote, tilting his head.

Harley, on the other hand, is positively ecstatic. She jumps up, bouncing and flapping her hands in sheer triumph, letting out a loud cackle.

"Aaaaahahahaaaa!! Oh my god, that was awesome! You should've seen the way the chat was going crazy! Can you imagine the looks on their faces?!"

She skips back over to Ame, holding her hands. She's still giggling, excitement still bubbling through her as she bounces up and down.

"And it's all thanks to Team Amarley! With us in the fray, nobody can stand in our way!"

She lets out a last laugh, before she sighs, resting her head on Ame's shoulder. Grayson lets out a soft huff, before he heads over to his bed next to the sliding closet and decides he's taking advantage of the darkness, for a nap.

"Now that we're aloneeeee… what did my beloved Ame-chan get me~?"

Harley grins, opening up the bag containing her present. She nearly tears the bag open, before she remembers that she doesn't want to destroy another present on accident. Save the enthusiasm for after it's opened.

Sometimes it just hits me all over again how fucking insane Cody is. Like, Grievous is an enemy general who regularly kills Jedi, is armed with four (4!!!!!) lightsabers, and has in canon wiped out entire battalions full of clones when Jedi try to confront him. And Cody just. balls to the wall goes for it and full-on tackles the bastard. Dog-piles the guy who's killed more Jedi than probably any one single person. And he punches Grievous in his (metal!!!) face while he's at it.

And! His men follow his lead.

What the hell kind of charisma and pure brass balls do you have to have for that. Honestly.
