You woke up to the taste of plums on your tongue. You didn’t become a fan of them until you were an adult. Sweet and tangy in flavor, large or small in size, the variety of colors, you appreciate them more now. It was fascinating to you that it was one of the first fruits that humans cultivated. Research showed that eating them even improved brain function and thinking.

Wait. Where am I?

You slowly opened your eyes with a barely audible groan. They ached as you blinked a few times, not recognizing the ceiling above your head. The feel of the mattress beneath you wasn’t right either. It was comfortable, but not yours. At least, you didn't think so.

Attempting to sit up didn’t do you any good when you realized there was an arm draped over your midsection. A metal one. You knew that it belonged to Bucky Barnes. He was your… Did you fall asleep in his bed? You couldn't remember how you got there.

Or why you were naked.

“Hey, Plum,” you heard to your left, his voice crystal clear. How long has he been awake? Tilting your head toward him, his blue eyes bore into yours with such intensity that you almost pulled the blanket over your head. He was undoubtedly one of the most handsome men you had ever seen, even more so with his messy bed hair. “You okay?”

No. Yes. I don’t know.

“What happened?” you asked, glancing around like it would give you some sort of clue as to what was going on.

“I think what happened is that I must’ve worn you out,” he teased, running a finger along your cheek to bring your attention back to him. “God, you’re so beautiful,” he whispered, like he was seeing you for the first time.

“Wore me out?” you asked, keeping your voice calm despite how quickly your heart began to race. “We had sex?”

The smirk he gave you didn’t soothe the panic that rose in your chest. “All night,” he confirmed. “Thank god these walls are thicker than your old apartment. You’re a screamer.”

He didn’t try to hide that he had slept with you, but you sure as hell didn’t remember saying “yes”. But you didn’t recall saying “no” either. Because you couldn’t put together how you even got to that point. The stickiness between your thighs was confirmation enough that he didn't use protection. What if he got you pregnant?

That doesn’t matter. What matters is that I love Bucky Barnes. It would be an honor to have his children.

“I-I don’t remember that,” you explained when you brushed that thought away. “Was I drinking last night?”

He sat back with a chuckle, like he wasn’t quite sure if you were joking with him or not. “You had a couple of drinks, but you didn’t seem that out of it. You were eager to get back here after the ceremony, remember? Our new home?”

“Ceremony? I, um…” you swallowed, parched as you tried to find your words. “What do you mean our home?”

You managed to stifle your gasp when you tried to think back on the last few days. The images in your mind were nothing but a blur of scattered pieces. The moment you tried to piece them together, they fell apart. Only a pair of steel blue eyes came through clearly.

“Plum, this isn’t funny. I know you were nervous to leave your apartment, but you were really excited to come here,” he said, a tinge of concern filling his eyes as he sat up. “You are joking with me, right?”

“Wasn’t I just engaged?” you asked, rubbing your temple.

I was engaged to a good man. He was going to give me the wonderful life I deserve. He loves me. Right?

He let out another nervous chuckle before his lips touched your forehead. It seemed both foreign and familiar, which you weren’t sure how that was possible. “Yeah, my beautiful sugar plum. To me,” he tried to smile as your brows furrowed. “And now we’re married.”

“Married,” you repeated, lifting your left hand. The diamond in the engagement ring seemed to catch your distorted reflection before you lifted your gaze a fraction higher to the wedding band.

I’m Mrs. Bucky Barnes. I’m the luckiest woman alive. I’ll be a good wife and fulfill my duties as fit.

“You must have had more fun than I thought yesterday,” he said, taking your hand to inspect the rings when you started trembling. “Forgetting our wedding and the wedding night.”

The hurt in his voice was evident when you turned your attention to the corner of the room. In the chair was a wedding dress and crinkled suit. You could only assume they belonged to the two of you.

“Steve was sorry he couldn’t make it, but he had that mission and we didn't want to wait. He’s excited for you and Cherry to finally meet,” he said with a hopeful grin.

Steve is Bucky’s best friend. They’re good men. They’re heroes.

Tears sprang to your eyes. You pride yourself on having a sharp memory and this was terrifying, to say the least. “I’m your wife,” you said, trying to sound confident and failing. “I’m sorry, Bucky. I don’t know what’s going on. I don’t remember any of that.”

But I know he’s my husband and we’re going to live a happy life in paradise.

“Did you hit your head?” Bucky asked, cupping your cheeks as he searched your face, your breathing a bit heavier. You didn’t think you hurt yourself, but maybe you had. Freaking out wouldn't do you any good. “I can get us a taping of the ceremony if you really can’t remember it?”

“The last thing I remember is my engagement,” you told him, a dull throb in your head as you shook it. Even then, you couldn’t recall Bucky dropping down on one knee to give you the ring. How did he ask you?

He chose me. The rest is history.

“Well, yeah. It does seem like yesterday that I asked you to marry me, but time flies when you're planning the rest of your life with the person you love,” Bucky said, the previous hurt in his voice gone as he kissed over your rings. “Are you okay?”

"M-My head hurts,” you said, wishing you could think properly. Why couldn’t you? And if it bothered you that much, why weren’t you making any attempt to get out of bed?

I have no reason to ever leave Bucky. He's the love of my life. We're soulmates.

"I know you didn’t drink that much, but I had a feeling you might have a small headache,” he said, grabbing a pill and water from the nightstand beside him. Instead of giving you the pill to take yourself, he gently placed it on your tongue and brought the water to your lips. The smile he gave you encouraged you to swallow. Because Bucky loves me and would never hurt me. "You just relax. We don't have to get out of bed today.”

Any protest in your mind fading away as each second passed. A slight warmth spread from your head to your toes as the pain faded. Instead of the sting like shards of glass in your head, it was like they melted away. You were floating, yet still on the ground. You would've thought he drugged you were you not perfectly functional. Alert, yet relaxed.

You weren't sure why you worried seconds ago.

I’m with Bucky. I’m happy. I’m home.

"That help at all?" he asked, running a hand along your arm to soothe you.

"Mmhmm. I feel much better."

Bucky loves me. He'll take care of me. He always will. And I'll do the same for him.

“I’m glad to hear that," he said.

"Me, too," you smiled, not wanting him to worry.

A good wife doesn't stress her husband out.

"Kiss me," he whispered.

You leaned up and brushed your lips against his, letting him take the lead as he met you halfway. He kissed you with his full being, like there was nothing he would rather do. His movements were confident and sure, making you feel beautiful and cherished as you held onto him for support.

He tastes like plums.

"Now, why don’t we have a repeat of our wedding night since your memory seems to be a little fuzzy, hmm? I gotta make sure my wife remembers who owns this perfect pussy,” he suggested as he pulled away, a darkness in his eyes that you ignored when he pushed the blanket down to the edge of the bed. “Unless you’d rather rest.”

There was no hesitation or worry as you smiled at him, reaching up to run a hand through his dark hair as he settled between your legs. You wanted to feel that scruff burn your thighs. “How do you want me?”

“Just like this. I need a taste before I ruin you again with my cock,” he answered as he pushed your thighs open a bit further. “You know what they say? A plum a day…”

“That’s an apple a day,” you giggled.

stretching (i need to do this more often but i don't currently really have the space.. when i move out i wanna try stretching more frequently) -> moekka and cat behaviors

joking/saying things robotically ("directive fulfilled"/"quest complete" when i finish a task or get something for someone, "nutrients aquired" when i make myself food, etc.) -> alien and robot behavior

big tail lashing when annoyed -> moekka, cat, leviathan, AND dragon behavior! no wagging here

tail tip twitching when excited/happy -> moekka and cat behavior

wing shimmying/ruffling (ambient/idle behavior) -> moekka, bird, and dragon behavior

wiggling fingers/doing "claw hands" (to achieve the feeling of having or unsheathing claws/talons) -> moekka, cat, leviathan, and dragon behavior

avoiding direct sun (i get sooo hot and sweaty in the summer i cannot handle the heat) -> its giving vampire (i get teasingly called one all the time since i always wear black and dont go in the sun. im also super pale) but in reality, its cryptid behavior babey!

squatting on things/perching/sitting up high/not sitting on furniture correctly -> cat/moekka/dragon/bird/cryptid behavior. also the autism . i always wanna be sitting on stuff like a gargoyle

walking on tiptoes -> MOEKKA BEHAVIOR !!! i miss my digitigrade legs so bad

climbing up high (i never learned how to climb things and im not physically strong enough to either... it scares me because i dont have the parts i need to climb properly but) -> dragon/cat/moekka behavior

eating fruit and meat -> moekka, dragon, leviathan, and bird behavior. i like bread and rice n.. carbs. a lot irl but its not a part of many of my kintypes' diet

being in the water in general -> leviathan and dragon kin. i dont actually know how to swim (ashamed) but i know id be so good at it if i had my big tails and dragon wings or leviathan fins to propel me. i need to be zooming . and also be resistant to salt water. i prefer pools

flyingggg -> dragon/moekka/bird (i miss flying so bad. i wanna fly i wanna be in the air and sleep on clouds and zoom right over the water)

collecting things, picking up rocks, not being afraid to handle/deal with bugs -> bird brain . some dragon and leviathan in there too (my biggest collections are plushies, pokemon cards, and keychains/pins, and my mom literally calls me outside the apartment for mantis duty. recently we've been getting praying mantises in the hallway so theres a cup and piece of paper outside that i keep there and use to pick them up and throw them out the window)

that's all i can think of for right now but you guys should totally send me asks about my kintypes .. talking about them (especially the ones that aren't real) helps me connect to them more n also i get to share stuff i made up like for leviathans and moekkas :]

“I think you missed a spot, sweetheart.”

Henry looks up, a white cast of sunscreen covering his entire face and even more on his fingertips. 

“Where?”

Alex laughs and rubs in an incredibly thick spot on the outer edge of Henry’s ear. 

“There, I think I got it.”

“You shouldn’t tease,” Henry says, upending the bottle of sunscreen and squeezing a dollop into his palm before rubbing it onto his arms. “SPF is very important.”

“I know it is, babe, but I don’t think you have to reapply every twenty minutes.”

“It hasn’t been that often, and even if it has been, there’s nothing wrong with being proactive. Skin cancer is no joke.”

“You’re going to smell like a coconut for the next decade.”

“Suppose I’ll just need to take a very thorough shower tonight,” Henry says as he works on his other arm. “If you’re good, I might let you join me.”

Alex grins and lowers his sunglasses over his eyes. 

It’s a nice thought for a nice day.  

The sun is bright and warm when he tips his face into it, and the blanket is soft beneath his hands as he leans back. 

There's a couple a few yards away, her head in his lap as she reads, and just beyond them, a mother braiding dandelions into her young daughter’s hair. 

Further down the hill, a man throws a ball for his golden retriever, and at the curve in the path, two kids buy fresh sliced fruit from a brightly colored cart. 

There’s pop music blasting from someone’s shitty Bluetooth speaker, and sirens and car horns sound off in the distance. 

It’s a symphony of everyday New York City life. 

It’s beautiful, if he doesn’t look at the teenage girl with her phone up and pointed in their direction. If he doesn’t wonder what Twitter account it’ll be posted to or what tabloid it’ll be splashed across. He doesn’t worry about what they’ll say about their body language or how he hasn’t shaved in a few days. That Henry’s hair is longer now, or that it’s a Wednesday afternoon and they’re sitting in the sun in the middle of Prospect Park. 

If he pretends that he doesn’t see Amy and Cash posted nearby, looking out of place in their dark suits as they scan the crowd. 

If he doesn’t think about how he might have squeaked out a few years of normalcy, maybe, a few administrations from now, when he’d be replaced by a newer, younger–but not necessarily hotter–First Son. Alex would have the time to finish school, pass the bar, and get a job at a respectable firm before he decided to get into politics and step back into the public eye on his own terms. 

He can’t live that life because he fell in love with Henry, but he can’t imagine living any kind of life without Henry. 

Henry, who never stood a chance at anonymity no matter what. Who had been photographed more times before his first birthday than Alex has in his entire life. Who is part of a royal bloodline and obligations. Who could walk away from it all, give up the title, and still be hounded by the press, both destined and doomed. 

“Hey,” Alex says, sitting up and wrapping his fingers around Henry’s wrist. “I love you.”

Henry blinks at him from behind his Wayfarer Ray-Bans. “And I love you,” he says. “Is everything okay?”

Alex wants to ask if he still thinks it was all worth it. The drama and the sleepless nights. The vitriol from his grandmother, brother, and certain corners of the press. If he’d do it again if it got them to this moment, sitting together in the park, drowning in sunscreen. If he’d be willing to wait a little longer, push a little harder for that life they both want. Privacy and family and a future. They can still have that, but it won’t be easy. Nothing ever is.

Instead, he leans forward for a kiss that Henry doesn’t pull back from but doesn’t move toward either.

“You know there’s a teenage girl filming us,” Henry says, because of course he sees her, too. 

“Does it matter?” 

Henry shakes his head and smiles as he closes the distance. 

From now on, they’ll be at each other’s side, and it’s the only thing that matters.

oh no you've activated my trap card i love drinks

okay so special occasion drink: brown sugar boba (50% ice 50% sweet) but specifically from the tea shop close-ish to my house. it's expensive so i don't go often but holy shit. they use actual proper tea and fresh-as-hell boba and it's just. it's so good, i think anything from there would be insanely worth it (but i've never bothered to branch out from perfection).

my daily bev: i can't be too specific on brand without lowkey doxxing myself a tad, but there's a local company that does this flavored black tea with cornflower, raspberry, red plum petals, and blueberry, and it's just. it's incredible. mellow and rich and lightly (but not overwhelmingly) floral and fruity. i have it every single day and i'm convinced it is the perfect tea.

and two other faves because you asked for recipes:

strawberry (cheong) lemonade: okay so this is more effort than truly necessary, but i went to one of those u-pick strawberry places last summer and then the cultivar fucking sucked so they weren't even good, so i made cheong with them, which is a korean fruit syrup/preserve you make by layering equal amounts of fruit and sugar in a jar and letting them sit (i put them in the fridge just to be safe) for a few weeks.

the end result is preserves that you can blend into a bangin' spread and a fruit syrup that is like the nectar of the fucking gods. i didn't think it would make a huge difference doing it that way rather than a typical heat-based reduction, but it tastes like fresh strawberries. you don't lose any of that to it breaking down via heat treatment, so similar to the difference between a cold brew and a heat-based one.

anyway those mixed with lemonade (i make a concentrate using half lemons and half regular lemon juice, and include some lemon zest) makes one of the best summer drinks i've ever had.

i'm adding a cut for the last one because i can't/won't stop now but i have some self-awareness. okay, last one:

vanilla chai: i haven't made this in a bit, because when i moved here i ended up using up my stock of cardamom, and the local brand available here is just... not it, and i'm still trying to work out the most cost-effective way to order them online. which is devastating, because cardamom is the flavor most beloved to me in chai. anyway-

the thing that rocks about chai is that it is not actually all that hard, and you can customize it so specifically to your taste. my go-to add-ins are cardamom (5-6 pods, crushed open), cloves (2-3), cinnamon (about half a stick, crushed a lil), fresh ginger (idk how to measure this one, like an inch or two?), and vanilla. i used to use vanilla bean paste i got ages ago as a gift, but that is too rich for the world we live in nowadays, so it's whatever vanilla i have.

technically there's a specific kind of tea you're supposed to use, but i prefer it with regular loose-leaf black tea (which i always have on hand anyway). so you basically get a small pot, and bring your water (about half to 3/4 of your mug) to a boil. once it does, add your tea leaves and spices (not vanilla tho) and let them vibe out there for 5-10 minutes.

then, add your milk (about half of your mug) and vanilla, and warm to desired temp, but don't let it boil (this is my personal preference). add desired amount of sugar to your mug (i usually do a small spoonful of white and a small spoonful of brown sugar) and pour the chai into the mug through a fine mesh sieve (to get out the spice bits). if you have a milk frother, i like to aerate it a bit before drinking (improves flavor and also makes it less likely to burn your tongue).

Love On The Beach

Synopsis: Rika has been pursuing Lali since she first met her but it seems Lali is too airheaded to see that Rika likes her.

The sun shined brightly on the blazing Saturday, signaling that today was a perfect day to be in the house or to be in the water instead of just walking around. The Wattrels were squawking loudly as they flew towards the coast where many people were to cool down from the summer heat. Children, Adults, Teenagers and most importantly, Pokemon are running around the shore. There are stands for ice cream, fruit, sandwiches and more along the beach.

The beautiful elite four member, Rika, is rolling her stuff to the beach for a chance to relax. Surprisingly, she was able to take the day off to relax with her pokemon. Well...that was true, but she is also here at the beach as a “date” with the cute girl that she had met at Katy’s bakery. It wasn’t really an official date, more like a hang out because though Rika flirted with her, it seemed like her flirting went right over the woman’s head and it appeared that she thought that Rika wanted to be friends instead of potential girlfriends. But that’s okay because Rika will woo this woman with her natural good looks and charm!

As Rika is setting up her spot for her and her “date”, people started walking up to the Elite Four Member to get autographs and talk to her. She smiled to be polite and signed things for people and sent them on their way after a bit of talking. Being an Elite Four member is going to garner up attention. Kids and Adults all look up to you in some way so of course people would come up to her and her other fellow members.

After dealing with all the people, she pulled her rotom phone out to text the woman she was here to meet. But she had seen a message pop up as soon as she brought her phone out.

Lali: I’M HERE RIKAAA! ^_^

Rika smiled happily at the message and replied back with a quick “Ok!” and then sent another message saying that she set up her stuff and she should see the Clodsire umbrella that Lali gifted the green haired woman. Lali was cute like that, she loved to give cute items that people would like, she loved to type emoticons in her texts and most of the time, she typed in all caps to show how excited she was. Rika loved that about the woman. She is simply cute and kind and that’s honestly the best combo.

While she was thinking about how cute Lali is, she heard someone gasp and yell her name. Low and behold, it was the very woman whom she was daydreaming over.

“Rika, you look so cute!” Lali praised and clapped her hands with a smile. Rika is wearing a black swim shirt and diglett swim shirts that Lali had given her. Lali’s smile was bright and happy as she saw the shorts. “I knew you would love those swim shorts! I’m glad I got them for you.” The tall woman beamed.

“Yeah! I love them. You always have a good eye, pretty.” The other woman flirted as she took in the sight of the tall woman. Lali had her long curly black hair in two pigtails that still reached past her shoulders. Her dark brown skin was glowing in the sunlight and she had a wide smile on her face. The woman had on a swimsuit cover up so she could walk from her apartment to the beach. “She is so pretty even with the cover up on. Too pretty for this world.” The green haired woman thought and stared at her.

“Hehe you always call me pretty! You are so sweet. I’m so glad to have a friend like you!” Lali exclaimed and is setting her stuff down and rummaging through her bag. Rika grimaced at the word “friend”. All the thoughts she had about the other woman were definitely not on the vibe of friendship. Now Rika was no means shy at all and she could have told Lali that she wants to date her instead of just flirting, but she wanted to wait for the perfect time. She has had past relationships with women but they didn’t end well. She wants this time to be different because Lali is a woman that she wants to have a lifetime with. She is exactly her type and she doesn’t want to screw things up and things not work out. They met early January and have just been hanging out as much as they can with Rika’s busy schedule, so they had enough time to get to know each other. Rika wondered if Lali even liked girls though. She never asked her which was kind of dumb because she should know if she even has a chance with the woman.

“Oh!” Rika quickly looked up when Lali said that. “What’s wrong?” Rika asked and set her bag down.

“I forgot to take my coverup off! This is the beach so I should show off my swimsuit!” Lali quickly pulled her cover up dress above her head and smiled. “Do you like it? It’s pink and it’s Jigglypuff themed!” It sure was. Lali wore a pink Jigglypuff themed bikini and you could see all her cute chubbiness and curves. Rika blushed slightly and her eyes ran along every inch of her body. She knew the tall woman would choose a pink swimsuit because it is her favorite color and most of her outfits were pink. Lali waved in front of Rika’s face.

“Rika? You okay? Your face is turning red!” Lali said worriedly, “Is the heat getting to you?”

Rika quickly snapped out of her thoughts of Lali and her cuteness and played it off with a chuckle. “You just look so cute and beautiful, Lali. I love your swimsuit. It is so perfect for you, babe.” Rika explained and made sure to add a cute nickname at the end in hopes that Lali would catch on to her flirting. As cute as Lali is, she sure is a bit…airheaded but that was a part of her charm.

Rika heard a hitch of breath and she looked up at Lali after departing from her thoughts for the second time. The shorter woman’s eyes widened a fraction as she gazed at the taller woman’s face. Lali’s face was flustered and she was gazing down at Rika shyly.

The Elite Four member had a thought of confusion as she gazed into Lali’s eyes. “Did...Did she finally get that I was flirting with her?” She thought and couldn’t help a small blush coming onto her cheeks. “I’ve only called her pretty before but I guess babe is more than “friendly”, right?” So many thoughts went through the woman's mind and she started grinning a bit because now she had a perfect read on the cute woman she is trying to pursue.

“Rika…” Lali finally spoke, “Um…forgive me if this is me assuming and being silly but is this supposed to be a date rather than a hangout?”

Rika gulped a little bit when she asked that. “Come on Rika what happened to your confident persona! Ughhhh…this woman will be the death of me!” She quickly gathered herself and cleared her throat.

“Yeah that was kinda what I was going for. Would you like it to be a date?” Honestly asking that question made her a little nervous but she needed to ask it to make sure.

Just then Lali’s face broke into a bright happy smile and she hugged Rika to her body. “YES!! Yes!!! I would love it if this could be a date!” She replied with so much glee.

Rika’s eyes widened a bit and her face also broke out into a happy smile. She embraced the woman, returning the hug with so much glee. She laughed happily along with the other woman and she leaned up on her tippy toes, pressing a kiss on her forehead.

“I’m glad! So I guess that makes you mine now, right?”

“Mmhm! Yours forever and always!”

Rika’s face hurt from smiling so much and she buried her face in Lali’s neck. That was all she wanted.

sorry this is late. classes have been insane. congratulations on your new school! it's always exciting when you try something new, and I promise you're gonna love it.

now, im assuming you're 15/16 years old, since you're a freshman. Before I say anything about having fun in high school, I need to you remember that while TV and movies glorify high school as this really crazy time where you party and have fun (yes, you will have fun I promise), its important to keep in mind that these four years will help you decide your future and get into college. So work hard, and party harder.

Okay, now that I've said that, let's tackle this bit by bit.

How to have fun in high school:

Have sleepovers: They're a fun and easy way to bond with friends. Order tons of junk food and stay up all night.

Picnics: My favourite activity. Dress up and have a themed picnic, and have a photoshoot.

Pool party: If someone you know has a pool, go have fun in the water!

Hang out: Honestly, this was the most fun I had in high school. Just meet at someone's house or at the park, and just chat. Or bring an activity to do together (crochet, playing cards, etc). Buy some snacks and play some music and it's the most chill vibe ever. You will love it.

Start a band: If you play an insturment/ sing, start a band! It's so much fun to practice and perform with friends!

Join a club: You can make lots of like-minded friends at clubs at school. Pick something you really like to do.

How to glow-up for high school:

Workout:

There's no rule that the gym is the only place to workout. When I was 15, I wasn't allowed to the gym either, so I had to make do.

Youtube videos: There are tons and tons of great workout videos from people with a large following. My favourites are Caroline Girvan, growingannanas, Pamela Reif and Madfit. Go get sweaty!

Makeshift weights: You can water bottles filled with water/sand as weights or buy ankle weights to put around your wrists as you get stronger.

Run: This is an amazing source of cardio. I gave up a while back on this because I detest running, but it really does work. Plug in your headphones and go for a run in nature.

Dance: Dancing is a really fun way to workout. Try Zumba, hip-hop or K-pop routines. Hell, even Just Dance has some good ones. Join a class if you want to stay accountable.

Diet:

Honestly, I can't give a lot of advice to you here, because I'm not qualified enough. Go to a nutritionist to see if there's anything you can do. If not, make sure to eat plenty of protein and fibre, limit your junk food intake and drink lots of water. Make lots of salads and fruit bowls. Overnight oats are healthy, filling and delicious.

What I like to do, is eat everything in moderation. Say I've had a healthy breakfast, lunch and dinner. I won't deny myself a nice bowl of ice-cream (again, not a sundae, the key is moderation). But if I've had greasy food for lunch and takeout for dinner, I'll probably settle for fruit instead. Know that you can eat without punishing yourself, but remember not to go overboard. Food is fuel, remember.

Other tips:

Skincare: Don't make it too fancy. I know influencers and the like have those weird 15-step skincare routines, but it isn't necessary. I use the Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser, and the most basic Cetaphil face lotion I could find along with an organic lip balm my mom buys. It works like a charm and itsn to too fancy. I also take an ABC smoothie (Apple, Beetroot, Carrot + some water.) This is such a game-changer.

Abundance mindset: I like to think of the universe constantly working in my favour. It's always looking out for me, and I'm the luckiest girl in the world. What you think is what you attract. If you think negatively, you will begin to see only bad things around you. Stay positive.

Wardrobe: Go thrifting, or DIY some old clothes. Pinterest has tons of amazing ideas. Paint your T-shirts, dye your skirts, make cute jewellery at home. There are no limits.

Makeup: I don't recommend it honestly. I'm more or less anti makeup to the point where I only own two pieces of makeup(eyeliner and lip gloss) and even those are used sparingly. Don't get used to your painted face. Your natural beauty is beautiful; and should not be hidden. There's something so amazing in someone who is confident in their own skin. Own yourself, and people will love you more for it.

Dustin- Soul Evans again, however, a mix of maturity and anger from Marulxia(Kingdom Hearts) and Sunday(Honkai Star Rail) His voice is pretty calm and casual most of the time but he’ll fucking kill you and is holding some rage. He’s not crazy like Goro Akechi but he’s a couple steps away from a crash out.

All of these are loose interpretations and I know I’m missing a few like Sienna, Kovu, Peach, etc. I’d really hate to sit down and think. If I had to say one more though, something in me is mixing Marceline with Black Fire for Sienna. She’s the cool badass girl you didn’t expect to see cry and be empathetic

little kitty dragon!!!!! there was someone who announced that they were quitting cs and only going to play flight rising, and they were offering a bunch of their cs pets in exchange for stuff in flight rising, so i gave them a bunch of my treasure in flight rising and that's how i got this one

this was one of the very first pets i adopted when i first started playing cs. i started playing when i was nine years old. i think this guy's pattern is really neat. i really like the vibes of the designs that the older pets (2008-2011) have, the newer pets don't really tend to have that same vibe, even if they're deliberately trying to go for a 2000's nostalgia kinda thing like the pets from the 2022 summer event

I hope you're having a nice week. this last month has been very hectic for me, work was very busy, which both helps with my situation and doesn't. on the one hand work is pretty much the one thing that's going okay in my life rn so focusing on that helps distract from everything else. on the other hand, when all of a sudden work becomes a struggle too, it's tough. but as always, it's best to focus on the positives (easier said than done lol). for example: it's summer! I was actually able to wear a dress to work today, finally!!

I wanted to ask: I remember you mentioned a while ago that you recently cracked the code to making salads tasty, and I was wondering if you could share some tips that worked for you? I'm trying to eat more healthily bc I haven't been doing a very good job of that lately, and I struggle with vegetables tbh. I like the idea of a salad in theory but when I try it it's either bland or straight up acidic (looking at you, lettuce). I don't mind making it "more unhealthy", veggies are still veggies. I just want to be able to eat them without the experience being absolutely miserable 🥲

hi anon, it' good to see you again! I've been super busy lately, mostly work stuff. we're gearing up for a big deadline and so the meetings and the business travel have ramped up. my flight home on friday got super delayed and I got in late, and i think it's a sign that I'm getting older because the late night really threw off my whole weekend. I had plans to get out and explore but i just bummed around for 2 whole days, which was admittedly pretty nice.

I totally feel you on the busy work stuff being both a blessing and a curse. work was a great distraction for me when I needed it but lol I wish it came without all the stress and the pressure and the rest. it sounds like you're hanging in there, and I am sending lots of good vibes your way! looking on the bright side is SO HARD but ughhh it's one of those things I've found actually pays off. I hope work stays relatively chill for you.

and yay for summer! (it's my favorite time of year). dresses are the best! it's always so fun to break out the summer wardrobe. i've been living in long flowy skirts for a few weeks now!

okay salads! I love tasty salads. I should probably preface this with the confession that i genuinely enjoy vegetables. but i hope you can still find some of this useful. my biggest issue with salads was that i'm lazy and also hate spoiled browning salad mix, so those were the two big problems i was looking to solve for myself. i'll put my process in bulletpoionts because i love bulletpoints.

chopping the lettuce! game changer.

baby spinach stays fresh the whole week. also i can use it in morning fruit smoothies to get extra veggies.

i chop all my veggies (usually red bell pepper, cucumber, tomatoes, feta cheese) at the beginning of the week because i'm lazy. also, i roast extra veggies at dinner and use the leftovers in my salads for variety

i supplement fresh veggies with canned: heart of palm, artichokes, baby corn, roasted red peppers

carbs in the salad! couscous, pearl couscous, orzo, rice. it makes it more fun and gives good texture

also beans! (omg butter beans in salad is amazing!). canned because i'm lazy

crispy tortilla strips! yum

for protein, i braise a batch of chicken thighs and shred them up , and pop them in the salad as needed. also i keep grocery store frozen fried chicken in the freezer for if I run out of fresh.

i don't like completely cold salads so i gently reheat the chicken before i use it to give it some temperature variation

homemade tahini lime salad dressing because it's delicious. also I will 100% take the leftover salad dressings from catered work lunches.

I guess that's a longwinded way of saying that i make sure to actually put stuff I like eating in my salads. I switch things up for variety, but the combo of chopped lettuce, carbs, protein, veggies and a good dressing goes a long way. tbh, a good dressing is 100% the most important part of a good salad. I stopped buying those crappy low fat salad dressings because they taste like cardboard. I either make my own or splurge on the nice full fat ones and use them in moderation.

good luck with your salads! i've definitely felt a lot more energetic since i got better about eating more fruits/vegetables. (granted, some of that might also be the vitamin supplements I started taking on the advice of my doctor.) i hope it works for you!

The correct way to stream Solar Power this summer to understand its greatness, according to me

Solar Power was a polarizing album the moment it came out. It didn't click with everyone inmediately, and I saw quite a few opinions from my girls on Twitter, Popheads and Popjustice that were disappointed Lorde wasn't able to reach the heights of its predecessors with this one, that she ran out of steam after Melodrama.

When it came out, I personally just took The Path, Mood Ring and Stoned at the Nail Salon and ran, and didn't care much for the rest because I didn't connect with it, it just wasn't as instant as Melodrama and Pure Heroine. It felt kind of flat…

And if you've heard the album, you get it in some way. But one thing you need to understand is that the person on Solar Power is now past Melodrama, they are now navigating a healing journey, and while they may still feel the wounds explored in Melodrama, they are now seeing things from the distance while trying to enjoy the sun and better themselves. It may sound flat for those looking the raging emotions we found in Melodrama, but after doing some growing myself and taking it with what it is, a guitar and falsetto led offering to sit on the sun with a blunt and reflect, I started to see it with another pair of eyes.

One thing about Solar Power is that its tracklisting may be tiring for some, when the slow tracks hit back to back it may feel quite monotone. That changes with my version of the tracklist:

"Helen Of Troy" starts the album with a single statement: It's time to give yourself a break, you've fought hard before. So hear it from the girls living in the modern world, the one's she'll introduce in the next two tracks. Let them tell you the story about their healing journey, how the Solar Power helped, maybe you can learn one or two twings from them.

And then come the girls: "Mood Ring" the girl Lorde had stated in her Newsletter that she's mocking, but that I think she resonates more with than she wants to admit. And that's fine, there's nothing wrong with reaching that part of your 20s where things get dark and hard to the point you have to get into wellness culture to see if you can feel the peace they brag they have, to see if you can heal yourself from the wounds the things that came your way in the past left.

Now it's time for the girl in "The Path" to introduce herself, she's the same girl from "Mood Ring", but older and wiser. She has accepted her past and is still looking forward to her own future and her own healing. And she's not the saviour you're looking for, but she wants you to look forward to your own future and healing as well, she hopes the sun will show us all the path towards our inner healing, towards lifting all the burdens we may have been carrying for a long time.

After this the girls/our girl will be meditating and giving us a back and forth of thoughts of her past experiences and her current hoping-the-sun-shows-us-the-path outlook of life.

"California" comes in, and its our girl reflecting on her past, stating the things from her past whereabouts and shenanigans she simply doesn't vibe with anymore, she has changed.

And it's time for "Stoned at the Nail Salon" with her reflecting on past heartbreak and hurt, telling you that time really does its thing and passes fast, and you don't even realize. So realize it, spend all of the evenings you can with the people who raised you. Enjoy your life with all of the little bright details you can spot. Enjoy it before it's too late… Or maybe don't take it that serious, maybe she's just being high and existencial at the nail salon.

However, do try to do your best to enjoy yourself and let go for a bit: head to the beach, try some drugs, allow yourself to enjoy the sand, dive in the water, come out, enjoy the feeling of the sun hitting your now salty skin. Feel it kicking in and don't be as existencial as she was at the nail salon, just breathe and enjoy what you're doing. That's the message of "Solar Power", the title track.

If you're not able to let go and start being depressed again, that's fine too. "Big Star" is our girl back to being sad, the 20s are hard no matter how far you're into your healing journey. 20s are a whole bunch of emotions. It's fine, allow yourself to feel what you're feeling, let it sink in.

And then comes "Dominoes" and she's feeling a bit better than on the previous track, yet she's singing about a significant person from the past, probably the one who hurt her the most, a past lover being now far deeper than her into their healing and bettering themselves journey. And yes, she may be bitter because of that. And yes, that is fine too: the songs ends as quickly as she gets over the bitterness and moves on.

"Secrets From a Girl (Who's Seen It All)" it's time for her to share everything she's learned so far, and that you probably already know for yourself and are hopeful for: It gets better. No matter how deep is the grief or heartbreak or whatever emotional turmoil you're going through: you're gonna feel it, let yourself sink in it for as long as it takes and then you're gonna get over it and walk the path into happiness and fulfilment.

"The Man with the Axe" is about falling in love and learning from it, accepting you were never a genious and you're continuously learning as you love your deepest. She's still sharing everything she's learned, now through the lense of romance and the way love shapes us.

Then it's time to our girl to unwind again diving in the water in "Oceanic Feeling", where she's feeling thankful as she reflects about her family and wondering that, if she ever has a daughter, she would be able to feel all the beautiful things her mother was feeling at that very moment.

It now feels like there's finally peace within our girl's heart. The album is fully realized.

But it's still a back and forth between feelings, just like the 20s are. And "Leader of a New Regime" it's a reflection on living out your days just like you wanted but maybe wondering in the back of your head if you're in the right path, maybe being afraid it would fall apart and needing to get distracted of that thought looking somewhere else, looking for a leader to guide you to feel right about yourself again. It's fine, you're human, and what has our girl taught us?

You move on.

And "Hold No Grudge" comes in to remind you that, you can now let yourself reflect on your past and wonder how things would have turned out if the hurtful things didn't happen, if things had gone a little different… Our girl herself is wondering, but she knows it's fine to wonder now: She accepted everything a long time ago and is thankful of the place she's at. She's come so far. She's holding no grudge, she has finally truly healed, the sun did actually show her the path.

And now "Fallen Fruit" closes the album with both girls from the beginning, the girl from "Mood Ring" and the girl from "The Path" joining to dance together in the fallen fruit, with all the other girls who came before them, with you and me who started with "Helen of Troy" and decided to give ourselves a break and unwind. The girls will walk together, now as one, to head into the future as they're aware it's time to leave into the next phase of their lives. But right before they leave, they'll dance again in the fallen fruit, they'll invite us to dance one last time with them.

And that's it, that's the album. I hope you now see it through another perspective, and I hope you and I get to heal and find ourselves to the point our girl Lorde has. I hope we gain wisdom and experience and learn to accept and enjoy life as it is. Now get up and do some stretching, enjoy the bright days, enjoy summer, the sun will shows us the path just like it showed her.

Average Hours of Sleep: While working as a nurse, Bianca can get anywhere from 12 to 3 hours of sleep, depending on her shifts. When she stops working in some verses, I'd say like averaging on 9.

Dog or Cat Person: Bianca likes all animals, but she's more of a dog person. Something about the stereotypical loyalty of a dog. And I'm toying with the idea of giving her, Holland, and Holly a dog in the Nice Guys Verse!!

Dream Trip: Japan!! She loves the culture, legitimately and not in a weeaboo way, and while she can take a trip to Little Tokyo any time, it's certainly not the same.

Favourite Fictional Character: Ironically, Barbie. That's why she dyed her hair blonde in the first place!! That's also why it's exceptionally funny that she has a Barbie verse in which Ken refers to her as “Better Barbie.”

Dream Trip: Taking Fiona back to his home in Canada. It's not very exciting, but it's pretty different from life in Italy and England she's used to.

okay first and foremost I want to say you're totally valid for saying law runs cold bc he gives me the vibe of someone who puts their cold feet on you under the covers and I love comparisions between the two doctors, they literally have a bday one day apart it's so cute

idk what really prompted my train of thought but I was thinking how jarring it would be for the difference in tempature if yall were involved at the same time like warm hands followed by cooler hands replaced again by the warm hands not so much tempature play (tho ace/sabo could def do that I feel) but just the initial contrast hands or other things >>

and now you've given me even more people to think about cause like…

all the hot cold combos that come out of ace/sabo/kid & marco/law are very very yummy so thank you for adding those two in there

okay but as someone who doesn't always handle heat well ace/sabo/kid probably need to be balanced out by one marco/law or I would probably die

like I need ace especially to stay far away from me in summer bc I just know he's clingy and I'm such a baby when it's hot outside already nvm that walking space heater being in close proximity just carry around a spray bottle to keep him away (useful in the winter tho)

OH ALSO I can't actually decide if no devil fruit sabo would run hot or cold. They tend to have him in cooler colors/tones I think to offset with ace visually but I feel like he'd run warmer especially around the scars but idkkkk I can't decide

man my brain has been so ping pong-y lately I just have so many blorbos rocking around up there at once it's WILD how do you deal with this T____T

Law puts his cold feet on you when you're both in bed, but the cool sensation feels good, and somehow he always manages to find some knot or tight place that could use it. Eventually the two of you even out on body temp from the contact and when you wake up in the morning you're tangled in his limbs. Whether you run over warm or not, you run warmer than him.

Ace Sabo and Kid.... hmmm now there's an interesting threesome. >.>

A nice thing about Kid is if he knows he runs too warm for you, he can just bring in and switch out cool (or cooled) pieces of metal to help keep you from overheating. (he's such a sucker for his love when he falls that I can see him making a prosthetic arm with a cooling system in it so he can hold you and help keep you cool.)

Poor Ace getting Sad Puppy because he can't snuggle, finally just tosses you into an ice bath until you're shivering and then hugs and snuggles you for a good hour and warms you back up. Not the most ideal way to cool off (Though I can see the Moby heading to a winter island if a particularly long number of hot days piles up on the crew.)

No Devil Fruit Sabo probably runs fairly neutral. I can see his scars feeling warmer, but not by too much.

xD Also I don't know how to respond to that last one, but I suppose I do have quite a few of these guys rummaging around in my brain. It's kind of like a computer though, there's only a couple active windows at a time, and the background programs are fairly easy to ignore until I switch my focus (for whatever reason).
