Panic. Embarrassment. Shame.Â
It was hard to describe what you felt when you stared at your phone, realizing that you had just sent Spencer Reid a nude picture of yourself.Â
It was a mistake, of course â right when you wanted to send him a screenshot of an article, you stumbled over the mess in your apartment and selected the wrong picture. Frozen in place, you watched in horror as the read receipt showed up instantly.Â
Spencer had just seen your naked body light up on the screen of his phone.Â
A picture he never asked for and probably didn't want to see. It wasnât a bad photo, some might even call it aesthetically pleasing. But you had never intended for anyone else to see it. It was just a way for you to make yourself feel good about your body.Â
You contemplated your options. Burning your phone, moving across the country and changing your identity sounded intriguing but difficult to arrange. Instead you decided to text Spencer, hoping that soon youâd both be able to laugh about the embarrassing thing you just did.Â
âI am so sorry about that. I really didn't mean to send that! Can you please delete the pic and forget about it?âÂ
You didn't get a response. Spencer was never great at texting but you had really hoped to hear back from him. It was hard to tell if he felt just as embarrassed or maybe even offended â you certainly wouldn't want to receive unsolicited nude pics either.Â
You had barely gotten any sleep when you walked into work the next morning. Worst case scenarios had plagued your mind all night â from another painful workplace sexual harassment seminar to maybe even losing your job over your mishap â you had no idea what would expect you today.Â
Everything seemed normal when you got to your desk, except for the fact that your favorite coworker didn't even look at you when you walked by him. Spencer usually liked sitting beside you in the conference room and also on the jet, but he did neither of those things that day.Â
âWow you really must have pissed Reid off, huh?â Luke whispered when he sat down beside you on the plane.Â
âDid he say anything to you?â you wanted to know.Â
âNo, he didn't. What did you do? Spill coffee over his favorite chess board?â he teased.Â
âOh itâs so much worse than that,â you whined while heat rushed to your face.Â
Emily decided to discuss the case before Luke could ask more questions. Spencer avoided you for the next couple of hours until you decided you both had suffered enough.Â
A quiet moment in the coffee kitchen of the police precinct seemed good enough to approach him.
âHey Spencer,â you said and noticed how he almost jumped at the sound of your voice.Â
âHâŠhi,â he mumbled, his eyes fixated on the floor.
Stepping closer, he finally looked at you for the first time that day. The rosy shade spreading over his cheeks was impossible to ignore.Â
âIâm very sorry about the⊠you know. I didn't mean to send it but I understand if you feel offended by it,â you sincerely told him.Â
âIâm not⊠offended.â
You took a deep breath before you continued talking, âAll I want to say is⊠if you want to discuss this incident with Emily or even HR, I would understand. I never wanted to make you uncomfortable in any way.âÂ
âNo, itâs okay, really,â he lied. âWe can just forget about it.âÂ
Spencer Reid was good at many things. Lying, however, definitely wasnât his strong suit. You decided to drop the subject for now, aware that talking more about it would probably not make him less uncomfortable.Â
The tension between you two was palpable for the rest of the workday. When you stepped into your hotel room that night, you were relieved to finally have a couple of walls between the two of you.Â
If this thing didn't resolve soon, youâd have to talk to Emily about it eventually. But there was still hope that it wouldn't come to that. The embarrassment about your mishap was already bad enough as is.
The three knocks on your hotel door startled you. With your heart beating uncomfortably fast, you walked over to the door to find Spencer on the other side.Â
He walked into your room without saying a word. Then he began slowly pacing up and down your room, still silent. He looked at you for a second but his sight fell to the floor immediately after that.Â
âI uhâŠâ he began before taking a deep breath. âI lied to you earlier.â
âAbout what?â you wanted to clarify. âWanting to go to HR?âÂ
He shook his head. âI said that we can just forget about it but I donât think I can do that.âÂ
Your heart felt heavy at his words. His discomfort pained you and you wished nothing more than to be able to take it back. âIâm so sorry Spencer.â
âI deleted the image off my phone butâŠâ he paused to finally look at you. The expression written over his face was hard to read. What you didn't find was the discomfort you expected. Instead he looked⊠cocky?
He continued, â...it seems like itâs burned into my brain. And I canât help but wonder, was it really an accident?â
âWhat?! Of course!â you squeaked. âBelieve me, I would never want to send you a picture like that unprompted.â
That was when you saw a subtle smirk on his face. âInteresting choice of words.âÂ
You thought about it for a moment. Had you really just implied that you would want to send him nudes if heâd ask you to?Â
âThat's not what I meant,â you tried to brush it off. âAnd please donât give me a lecture about Freudian slips.â
His presence filled the room and you felt like you couldn't take deep enough breaths to satiate your need for oxygen. His demeanor was so different from what you were used to and you had trouble wrapping your head around it.
His next question was even more surprising. âWho did you take this picture for?âÂ
The undertone in his voice was unsettling and you started feeling defensive. âI donât see how that's any of your business but just for the record, I took it for myself. I do that occasionally to make myself feel good about my body.âÂ
It seemed as if he was content, almost relieved with your answer. You scanned his body language again and replayed his words in your head. Then it hit you all at once. Spencer was not here to scold you for what you did.Â
He was jealous. And he wanted to make sure no one else got to see your picture.Â
A grin formed on your face as you realized that you could play this game too.
Your tone was laced with a certain playfulness when you asked, âWhat did you do after you saw the picture?â
The change of your demeanor seemed to take Spencer by surprise. âI just told you, I deleted it.âÂ
âI don't think that's all you did.â He audibly gulped and you noticed his cheeks taking on a reddish color. Stepping closer to him, you whispered, âDid you touch yourself, Spencer?â
A shaky breath left his mouth before he confessed, âYes.â
âNaughty boy,â You teased him. âYou really liked that image, hm?âÂ
Nodding, he took a step forward until there was barely any space between the two of you. âI can't stop thinking about you.â
His words boosted your confidence. âI know I look great in that pic. But I think I would look even better in this lighting right here, donât you think?âÂ
Before you could bring to action what you had insinuated, you felt Spencer's hands cupping your face to pull you into a kiss. The surprised gasp escaping your throat was muffled by his lips against yours.Â
He kissed you with a fervor that knocked the air out of your lungs. Weakness rushed to your knees and you had to hold onto him to not tumble back. One hand pawed at his shirt while the other one held onto his shoulder. His lips felt soft yet firm against yours.Â
When his tongue begged for entrance, you let it. As he deepened the kiss, you could feel heat rushing through body. A few moments ago you really thought youâd have the upper hand in this game you were playing but now realized you were just as pathetic as he was.Â
Maybe sending him that image was a Freudian slip of some kind. Or maybe it was just some odd plan the universe had to bring you together. Either way, you were grateful for how things turned out.Â
Your hands became curious as they wandered over Spencerâs body. The tingling in your fingertips could only be soothed by feeling his skin underneath them, so they quickly began unbuttoning his shirt. Spencer showed a similar interest in feeling more of you by the way his fingers dropped down to the hem of your shirt.Â
Piece after piece both of your clothes fell to the floor, only ever breaking the kiss for as long as necessary. When you stood completely bare in front of one another, you dared to press your body against his to feel him.Â
It was impossible to tell who moaned first when his length pressed against your stomach. With a firm grip on his shoulders, you moved him back until his legs made contact with the edge of the bed. You pushed down until he sat on the mattress, staring up at you with a curiosity in his eyes that made your heart jump.Â
As you stepped back, his tongue darted out of his mouth to lick over his lips and you wondered if he thought about tasting you. To your surprise, he managed to not break eye contact until you challenged him, âGo on, take a look.â
His sight scanned your body, lingering on your breasts for a second before moving further down, taking everything in. You couldnât hold back from looking at him, too. A rosy color had spread all over his cheeks and chest and when you dared to drop your eyes to his cock, you noticed how it twitched slightly against his thigh.Â
âYouâre so beautiful,â he cooed when your eyes met again.Â
âBetter than the image?â you teased, smirking at him.Â
He only nodded before looking at your body again. It was like he was mesmerized, as if a miracle had just unfolded right before him. It became obvious that he was ready to worship you if youâd let him. But first, you had something else in your mind.Â
âShow me exactly what you did when you saw my picture,â you told him.Â
He raised his eyebrows in disbelief. âWh⊠what?âÂ
âDonât be shy now,â you snickered. âCome on, I wanna see how pretty you think I am.âÂ
The sweet smile on your face seemed to encourage him enough to let his right hand move towards his hardness. It was as if he needed reassurance when he found your eyes and you nodded.
He wrapped his fingers around his cock, giving himself a squeeze and you watched as precum spilled over the tip. Slowly, he began moving his fist up and down his length, swiping his thumb over the head each time he got to the top. The groan that slipped from his lips could only be described as absolutely sinful.Â
You couldnât deny how much the sight in front of you turned you on. Spencer was so incredibly beautiful and the thought that your body had the ability to make him feral like that drove you insane.Â
Arousal gathered at your entrance the longer you watched him. This show was no longer enough for you, you needed more. Your hands found the curve of your chest, gently kneading them before your fingers began toying with your hardened peaks. Spencerâs eyes were fixated on your hands, his mouth hanging wide open and unabashedly moaning at the sight while accelerating the pace of his hand.Â
Then suddenly, he stopped and got up from bed. Desperation was written all over his face when he looked at you.Â
âPlease,â he begged as he stepped closer. âI need to touch you.âÂ
It was everything you wanted right then, too.Â
âIâm all yours, Spencer.âÂ
His mouth was on yours in an instant and he didnât waste any time to move you over to the bed to push you onto the mattress. He followed quickly, towering over you as he kissed down your neck, making you moan in anticipation of what would follow.Â
He moved further down your body, kissing and nipping on the tender flesh of your breasts before focusing his attention on your nipples. The sensation was almost unbearable and you could feel how your arousal began coating the insides of your thighs.Â
Spencer smiled against your skin when he noticed you rocking your hips against his leg every so slightly. His confidence grew as he realized that you wanted him just as much as he wanted you.Â
âNeedy,â he chuckled as he kissed down your stomach. âThatâs cute.âÂ
Right then you couldnât care less about being in charge, you just wanted to be taken care of. When his lips brushed over your inner thigh, you opened your legs further to give him better access. He lay down between your legs and didnât waste any time before he began leaving feather light kisses against your folds.Â
You watched as he licked his own lips, tasting your essence on them before he found your eyes.Â
âYouâre so wet,â he teased and let a finger move along your slit. âIs that all for me?âÂ
He expected a witty response, like you telling him to bring his mouth to good use for once. So it took him by surprise when you simply sighed, âYes.âÂ
There was no more game to play. No more back and forth of who was in charge. It was just the two of you, equally as desperate to finally do what you both had been dreaming of for weeks.
âGood,â Spencer whispered, his hot breath tickling your core, before he finally granted you some relief.Â
His tongue moved through your folds, collecting your taste before he focussed on your most sensitive spot. He experimented with different motions for a few moments, paying attention to your reactions until he found what you enjoyed the most. Your hand flew to his hair, your fingers intertwining with his curls to hinder him from moving away â even though he had no intention to do so, anyway.Â
With one arm wrapped around your thigh he hindered you from bucking uncontrollably against his face while his other hand found your entrance, letting two fingers slip into you with ease. He moved with great precision, adjusting the angle and the pace according to your reactions, bringing you closer to your breaking point with every second passing.Â
The sounds of your pleasure filled the room as you began dancing along the brink of euphoria. With just a few more skillful motions, he pushed you over it. Your walls pulsed around his fingers while your entire body shook. He worked you through your orgasm before he lay back down beside you, placing a gentle kiss against your lips.Â
You were still panting when you found his eyes. The warm amber of his irises was almost completely swallowed by his pupils, the lust visible in his eyes contradicting the saccharine smile he showed you.Â
âYou okay?â he breathed as he wrapped one arm around your waist.Â
âYeah,â you confirmed while one of your hands moved down his body.Â
Tentatively, you let your fingertips brush along his length, feeling his velvety skin under your touch. âNow what are we gonna do with you?â you purred as you wrapped your fingers tightly around him, making him gasp.Â
With a torturously slow pace, you moved along his cock. âTell me, Spencer. What do you want?âÂ
âI uhmâŠ,â he audibly swallowed. âI have a condom in my pocket.âÂ
The fact that he brought a condom to your hotel room when he came over early amused you. He never had any intention of just talking to you.Â
âSo, you want to fuck me?âÂ
âYes,â he admitted unabashedly. âIf you want that, too, of course.â
With a nod you confirmed that that was exactly what you wanted as well. Right after you let go of him, he grabbed his pants from the floor to take out the foil wrapper. You watched as he ripped it open and carefully rolled down the condom.Â
Then, he kneeled down between your legs, taking a moment to admire the beauty of the woman in front of him.Â
âCome here,â you cooed and he leaned over you without hesitation.Â
Reaching between your bodies, you guided him to your entrance. He closed his eyes when he slowly entered you, relishing the sensation of stretching you open inch by inch. When he was fully inside you, he kissed you before he began moving with slow thrusts.
Wrapping your legs around his hips, you brought him even closer. When he was sure that you could take it, he accelerated his pace, fucking you against the mattress until you were sure you would lose your mind.Â
Spencerâs body began trembling and he suddenly stopped moving.Â
âSorry, Iâm really close,â he whined and tried to pull out slightly.Â
âDonât stop,â you pleaded as you kept him in place with your legs around him. âPlease, I need it.â
One of your hands moved down to where your bodies were joined to desperately draw circles around your little nub, making you clench hard around his hardness.Â
âFuck,â he whimpered as he began moving again. âI canât, ahââÂ
With just a few more deep thrusts Spencer came, his cock twitching inside you as his whole body shook. It was enough to throw you over edge too, entering a state of pure bliss together with him. After you had both come down from your high, you welcomed him inside your embrace, your fingertips gently dancing over his back as he caught his breath.Â
For the sake of getting cleaned up you separated for a few moments, only to lay back down together soon after. A shaky breath fell from Spencerâs lips and caught your attention.ïżœïżœ
âSoâŠ,â he began talking but didnât continue.Â
You propped yourself up on one elbow to find his eyes. âYeah?â
âI wanted to ask if maybeââÂ
âYou want me to send you that pic again?â you interrupted him with a grin on your face.Â
âNo,â he laughed. âI mean⊠thatâs not what I wanted to say.â
Still in a teasing mood, you snickered, âBut you would like to see that pic again?â
âYou know what,â he chuckled as he lifted the blanket to get a peek at your naked body. âI think I actually prefer this.â
âGood,â you chirped. âIf you want to see more of me youâll have to take me on a date though.â
Placing a soft kiss on your lips, he whispered, âDeal.â

Not really sure what incongruous means so I'll look it up after but it does feel like as i get older life gets more complex theres more things i understand now that sure i knew about them before but not in great detail but it feels like I've become so fucking complex as a person that if i tried to explain what i actually think and feel it would just overwhelm a person so i try and section myself off into pieces and just use different parts of me with different situations or people and it may just be because ive spent most of my time these past 2 almost 3 years now alone with nothing to do but think and figure myself out that when im asked what i think about something slightly personal its kinda hard to say it just got lost in my head somewhere and that whatever i think will change at a moments notice like i can bring up memories of lots of things and remember nostalgic times but i spent so long thinking about why i feel a certain way or what makes me feel a certain way in order to try and get a better hold of myself that ive kinda forgotten alot of my past like so many memories that i made are just gone because remembering them made me feel a way i dont want to feel like i remember realizing the beginning of 6th grade that i had completely forgotten 5th grade and the reason why was because that time i had was so nice yet not at the same time my brain just frogot because it didn't want a reminder of how good yet not something can be like great teachers who for the first time ever actually seemed to care as far as i could tell class mates who were generally friendly and occasionally checked on me if i seemed off yet i felt so alone cause nobody there really seemed like a real friend like the friends i had before who even when we were in deep trouble wouldn't rat me out and would stick with me who genuinely cared and missed me if i was sick getting older and not having anyone to socialize with for really formative years off my life has made understand those really old dudes who are nice and always up to make friends but just seem extra lonely for some reason despite knowing so many people i guess technically being that alone did hurt me but i kinda learned that im just not alone ever when im outside theres always some squirrels birds or plants nearby that make it more lively its why ive grown so fond of certain forested spots they are always lively and it feels like hanging out with all my friends its also why i enjoy making things like with metal or wood stone or even writing and painting those things feel alive in a way same with music and having time to think so much has made me reflect and realize that no day is the same and even when something changes something else stays the same or gos back to how it was in a weird cycle like growing but remembering where you were growing older for me anyways is like gaining more skills and more knowledge not just on the stuff around me but on myself too obviously people change sometimes pretty quickly too but getting older makes you learn more about yourself which duh that how life works but still it feels weird to be aware of it at 17 when it feels like i should still be trying to figure out my favorite youtuber or something not contemplate who i am as a person and what makes me feel the way i do but its a good kind of weird and theres always more to learn and find so i still have plenty of room to learn more about myself still not being able to really fully let a person know you kinda sucks but to be fair that is a rather special thing its also nice being able to put into words why i feel a certain way so that i can actually explain myself instead of just going quiet cause i dont know myself that well still kinda funny to know your own problems but not be able to jusy fix them when you know its a very deep problem even when it seems surface level and damn i got kinda personal there woops also just noticed that im shaking so might be overwhelmed remembering 5th grade which is probably why i frogot it or at least thought i did
anybody else feel that being human is like being a long-time syndicated cartoon character watching the world get more complex while your own design stays the same until youre incongruous with the reality around you??
#Anyway im gonna see if i can calm down and mabye froget 5th grade again#not remembering stuff can hurt sometimes so dont try it i already fucked up learn fro. my mistakes

I wanna see whatâs Aceâs familyâs reaction when they found out Ace is dating reader Heheheh
I decided to have only Ace's brother present, since Mr. and Mrs. Trappola have yet to receive strong characterization.
Family means Nobody is Left Behind or Forgotten.
The Trappola brothers sat across from one another upon red velvet chairs, and you, between them. They were both intently focused on building a house of playing cardsâa task that Ace had warned took âserious patience, coordination, and a gentle touch.â (You had rolled your eyes and responded, âGreat. You let me know when youâve found someone that has all that.â)
Ace carefully laid a Two of Spades down, formed a triangle with a Three of Clubs and a Four of Diamonds. His hand slowly retreated, and the triangle stayed. He expelled a sigh, directed away from the cards so as to not disturb them.
You would have clapped for him, but Ace had discouraged you before the game had even started. So instead, you tapped your index and middle fingers together. Still giving applause, but not nearly enough to rattle the house of cards.
âYour move.â
âHuh, youâve gotten better at this,â his brother mused. He toyed with an Ace of Hearts, expertly twirling it between dexterous fingers. âToo bad. I was really looking forward to smoking you in front of your new friend.â
âIn your dreams,â Ace sneered, passing you a glance. âThe last thing Iâd want is to look uncool in front of my partner.â
His brother drew himself up in his seat. The card in his hand, stilling. âYour partner? Since when were you two a thing?â
âOh, you know⊠since a while ago,â Ace casually replied. âAnd honestly, I canât really blameâm. Who wouldnât fall for my dashing good looks and roguish charm? Iâm a catch!â
His brother regarded you with an almost pitying look. âItâs not too late to change your mind,â he advised.
You burst into laughter. "I think I'm good. Ace is an idiot, but he's at least my idiot."
He raised an eyebrow. "So you've got a sense of humor. You'll need that if you're going to put up with Ace all of the time. Congrats, you passed the first test."
"Whaddya mean 'put up with' me?!" Ace protested, puffing up his cheeks. A pout--adorable, you think.
"I mean it exactly how I said it. It's practically a full-time job dealing with you," his brother replied cheekily. "You gotta prepare people for it, or else they won't know what they've signed up for."
"Oh, come on! You're making me sound way worse than I actually am."
"This, coming from the guy who ghosted his ex?" He smirked, and you could see the family resemblance in it. The slight narrowing of the eyes, the way his mouth angled. "I dunno, I was half expecting you to stay single forever after that royal screw-up, lil' bro. You're lucky you found someone willing to take you~"
Pink exploded onto Ace's cheeks. "H-Hey...!" he hissed, leaning toward his brother. "Did you seriously have to bring that up?! Have a little more tact, will ya?!"
The older Trappola grinned. "Gotcha."
You realized why.
Ace's sudden movement had sent a slight breeze against the card house. It wobbled from top to bottom--then the structure collapsed in on itself, the cards all folding into one another. Within seconds, the house was a pile on the coffee table.
Ace fell to his knees with a pathetic wail, scrambling to salvage his hard work. His brother looked on, chuckling. A card, still in his hand.
"I didn't place mine yet," he declared triumphantly, "and since you made the house fall, it's technically my win!"
"Y-You sneaky...! You taunted me on purpose!!"
"Yeah, and it worked like a charm." He flicked Ace on the forehead. "You were too busy trying to flex in front of your S/O. It was easy to take advantage of that. You always were a cocky, predictable brat."
"Grrrrr..!!"
"Ace, it's fine," you soothed him, a hand on his arm. "You did your best. It doesn't change how I feel about you."
"Tch, there you go being all sappy again... You're so lame sometimes," Ace grumbled--but he covered your hand with his. A small gesture, but a reassuring one.
"Hahah, look at you two lovebirds," his brother teased, wagging a finger at you. Then he reached out and roughly ruffled Ace's hair, despite his complaints and attempts to swat him away. "Happy for you though, lil' bro! You gotta tell me how this love story started--"

How are the emotions on this Saturday evening in Las Vegas? Is it an overriding relief? Is that the main thing?
An immense relief, but also a little bit more emotional than I was expecting, actually. Both from Max on the radio and I let Christian give him, well, let's say carry out all the complimentaries on the radio, because I choked up a little bit as well, and I think it just comes down to that relief at the end of what has been actually quite an intense year. Not quite as intense as 2021, but it at times ran it close.
Why is this one so special?
They're all special, don't get me wrong. Last year was special for very different reasons, but this one's special because of the effort and commitment that not only Max, but the whole team has had to put in to make it happen. Ok, the first half looked like it was a bit of a cruise, but actually we entered quite a difficult period, as everybody knows. But we had to work day and night to really try to understand the source of the problems and I think we've started to come out the other side, which is great news for the team, but it's also meant that our performances on track have improved and we saw the combination of that in Brazil as well.
Tell us a little bit more about the job that Max Verstappen has done this year. Would you say it's his best season so far?
The worrying thing for the grid is that Max is improving every year, which is frightening really because he's at an incredible level as it is, but in all areas he's working hard with the team, his racecraft on track, his qualifying laps, his consistency and also his ability to give up when you need to give up, and we saw that today, you know, he raced for what matter today rather than the final place on the podium.
In all of those areas you've just described, where has he made the most progress this year?
I think ultimately it just comes down to maturity and experience. Having been there three times before, I guess 2021 laid the foundations and now he's just becoming a very, very, very complete driver.
Since Miami, McLaren have been running you close. They've quite often been faster than you. Has there ever been a moment this year where you've doubted that you were going to win this championship?
I wouldn't say doubted, but certainly you don't take anything for granted. And as I said earlier, we took one race at a time, there was bit of a trend towards the middle of the year where things weren't going our way and we could see that other teams, not only McLaren, but other teams were making progress on us, relatively speaking and we had to do something. We had to make some changes and the team has come through on that. So kudos to them.
And how is your bond with Max evolved this year because it feels like this is the first time since you've been winning championships that you've been under a lot of strain together. And we did hear a few flare ups along the way, didn't we? Has it always been all sweetness and light or have there been-
Hungary springs to mind. We had actually a very quiet week after, I don't think there was a word spoken in the 3/4 days after the Hungary race, but we had a really good meeting in Spa together with Christian and Pierre just clearing the air. Not that there was ever any animosity, but I think sometimes when adrenaline is running that high, it's best just to leave things alone. Max and I are very similar in that respect. We're not one to bow down and give in very easily. So, yes, definitely that portion of the year springs to mind. But for the rest, again, it's a relationship that's grown over nine seasons. So we know each other very well. We work together very well. So long may that continue.
Well, let's throw it forward to 2025. It looks on paper like it might be incredibly close. Does that actually help someone like Max Verstappen because he makes no mistakes?
I think it helps him knowing that he has the ability to pull off results that perhaps aren't always there. And I think at the same time that maybe hurts or dents some of his competitors psychologically, not all of them, but perhaps some of them. But, you know, 2025 is a few months away. Now, I think more importantly, we need to finish the year on a high to keep morale in the team up over the winter because again it's been a really hard, hard year. And I think this was a bit of a unique, as everybody knows, it was a bit of a unique event with the temperatures and the tyres behavior, et cetera. So I don't think it's a true reflection of the car performance out there today. We'll do our best to finish Qatar and Abu Dhabi on a high and hopefully grab another win or, or two. And then, yeah, next year is next year.

đđđđ & đđđđđđ @multipleoccupancy
Violet nodded a little miserably. "Yes, I do." It made sense, that she would be afraid of heights, after what happened to her. That she would avoid elevators with windows, and ladders, and things that she didn't even use to worry about. She just didn't like to think about it. She didn't like admitting to herself that it had left an invisible scar behind.
"The ones you recruit are lucky," she said with a smile. She meant it, too. Violet was sure her dad was a great agent to send to recruit others. He was probably very nice and patient about it, and would never threaten people into joining Delta Green. "But... it's a little bit funny, that even at work, your job is to lecture people." She had to contain a giggle, pressing her hand against her lips. Oh, she wasn't too surprised that her dad was a professional when it came to lectures. She'd heard enough of them to know he was very good at them.
She wasn't surprised either that he wasn't answering all her questions. Violet hadn't expected him to. It was already bewildering that he had let her ask everything she wanted to ask. But she was surprised that he was telling her about the Apocalypse club. Her eyes widened a little bit. Violet was clearly unaffected by his fatherly eyebrow -she knew it far too well. She had expected him to avoid the subject altogether, and scold her for even looking. "So like the mafia... but a cultist mafia?" That would explain that strange name.
"I understand why you did it," she replied softly, "and why it was hard for you to explain to me why you shredded the letter. I'm sorry I made such a fuss about it. You were just trying to keep me safe."
Theo drew in a breath as they spoke of what it had been like after Sloane's betrayal. He missed working with Samantha in the field but he was so relieved she had an office position that kept her safe instead. He thought about Violet and her potential disorders. He had noticed she stayed away from the big window in the past, but he also understood why. "They manifest and you work them out as you go. I didn't really understand my OCD for a long time and then the paranoia made it much harder to reach out for an explanation." His counterpart had done a number on her thought and he had to think for a moment on what to say. "I suspect that a fear of heights is only natural after what you have been through. But you see now how these things come about?"
He nodded about there being enough agents to merit a HR department, though even he didn't know exact numbers. However he should have expected her to fire off with relentless questions. Theo did feel overwhelmed for a moment and he wondered if he should shut the conversation down or risk destabilising how far he had come in the last few days. There was plenty there he wouldn't answer and he regretted opening up the option for her to ask. "They send another agent still, I have recruited a couple of people myself. I sit with them and talk about the work and ask them to join, giving them instructions on what to expect." Whether or not that was the right way he wasn't sure but he felt it was the best he could offer.
He purposefully skipped over how he was assigned missions and coded messages, she had a letter from Delta Green and that was enough. He didn't want her digging through his mail looking for triangles to see if or where he was going next. "I no longer have a team," he said plainly, "My team was Samantha and Sloane and he went and put an end to that. Since then I am either sent to other groups of agents on missions to discipline or lecture them or partnered up with agents when I am needed. They're strangers." Most of them anyway. Despite his trust issues he still had favourites. He dodged over the questions on monsters and she gave him the perfect excuse to do so with her final question. She should not have known about the Apocalypse Club and he raised a very fatherly eyebrow at her.
"It's a cultist ring, I am the lead agent in bringing it down one by one. Middle-Sized Tony is one of their leaders." He did not specify it was in the city, nor that it was a physical place, not wanting Violet to go looking. "They're very dangerous people. A lot more put together and in control than Sloane. They mainly work in crime and amass ridiculous funds through it." Of course he had his own instructions on handling them from the Horned One but he had to bring cultists in enough that he was still able to stay the lead, in a way he felt it balanced out. "I wouldn't normally leave my files out like that, I am sorry I did and you saw. It won't happen again." There was still elements of fear in his tone despite himself, as if he was preparing to be punished in the back of his mind and trying to mitigate against it.
However, he saw her embarrassment about the letter incident and shook his head. "I should have been more respectful in how I handled that too. I never meant to upset you but I panicked," Theo explained honestly and watched her carefully in case he upset her further. "I'm sorry I shredded your letter," this apology much more genuine than the last. "I should have explained this to you sooner. But it's easier now that you know why I didn't want you to read it. I was so scared."

Impulses
Bruce Wayne(Husband) X Reader(Wife)
Summery: you can be very quick to act on your impulse, usually being done with a kind heart. But can sometimes lead to you and some others being hurt.
Note: Something tells me Bruce wouldn't go to therapy, but this isn't real so...
Rate: Loving Bruce, the very small almost of angst
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"So, tell me Bruce, are you happily married?"
"Of course."
"Then why are you here?"
"Well," Bruce pauses, thinking over his words carefully, "it's not exactly that simple."
The therapist's office was quiet, the kind of silence that felt like it was holding its breath. Bruce Wayne sat in a chair that was a little too small for his broad shoulders, his eyes darting to the clock on the wall. It was a simple room, with a few plants scattered around and a faint scent of lavender in the air, but it was the last place he ever thought he'd be. He was a man who dealt with Gotham's problems from the shadows, not one who talked about his own in a well-lit space with a box of tissues within arm's reach.
"How so?" the therapist asked again, her voice gentle but firm, bringing Bruce back to the present.
He sighed. "Well, my wife⊠she's incredible. She's kind and she's the glue that holds our family together."
The therapist nodded, her expression neutral. "But?"
Bruce leaned back, rubbing his temples. "But she's⊠impulsive. She does things without considering the consequences, especially when it comes to the boys."
The therapist made a note in her pad. "Could you give me an example?"
Bruce sighed heavily, his mind racing with instances. "Once we went hiking, and she found a baby wolf, injured and alone. She insisted on bringing it back to the manor to care for it herself. Most of my sons thought it would be a great ideaâuntil we realized it had a pack out there looking for it, and suddenly we had a bunch of very unhappy wolves on our backs."
The therapist looked up, raising an eyebrow. "I see. And how did that situation resolve?"
Bruce chuckled, a bit nervously. "Let's just say there were a lot of stitches involved. And I haven't heard anyone wanting to go camping again ever since."
The therapist's eyes widened, but she remained calm. "It seems she has a heart of gold, but maybe a bit of an overactive sense of adventure."
Bruce nodded. "Exactly. And it's not just with animals. She once tried to organize a surprise street carnival in the middle of Gotham because she thought the city needed more joy. You can imagine the chaos that ensued with all the traffic rerouting and permits she didn't bother to get."
The therapist's pen stopped mid-stroke. "Ah, so her intentions are good, but the execution could use some work."
Bruce nodded emphatically. "You have no idea. She's the love of my life, but sometimes I worry she's going to get us all into trouble. The boys look up to her, especially Dick and Damian."
The therapist leaned in slightly. "How do Dick and Damian react to her impulsive nature?"
"Dick tries to be the voice of reason, but he's young and still learning the ropes of being a responsible older brother. And Damian," Bruce sighed, "he's more like meâhe's intrigued by the chaos she creates, but he's also the one who ends up getting hurt when things go awry."
The therapist nodded understandingly. "It's natural for children to look up to their parents, especially when they see the love and good intentions behind their actions. But it's also important for them to learn about boundaries and the potential consequences of impulsivity. How does your wife react when you bring this up with her?"
Bruce leaned forward, his expression a mix of affection and exasperation. "She's⊠well, she's stubborn. She sees the world as a place full of possibilities, and she wants to experience all of them. I get that, I do. But we can't live our lives on the edge like that, especially with the kind of enemies I've made over the years."
The therapist nodded, her gaze thoughtful. "It's a delicate balance, isn't it? Wanting to keep your family safe and also allowing them the freedom to live their lives fully. How have you been managing this?"
Bruce's smile grew a bit wistful. "Well, my wife is also the lively part of our lives. Without her, the manor would be just a fortress, not a home. She brings laughter and light to every room she enters. She's the one who convinced me to let Tim build a skateboard ramp in the garage, and even though it's a hazard to my cars, I can't help but smile when I hear them all out there, having fun."
The therapist nodded, understanding the complexity of the situation. "It sounds like you appreciate her spirit, but it's important to establish boundaries to ensure everyone's safety. Have you tried discussing the potential dangers with her?"
Bruce leaned back, his eyes drifting to the floor. "I've tried," he admitted. "But she's⊠she's like a tornado of love and enthusiasm. It's hard to say no to her."
The therapist nodded, her expression understanding. "It's clear you care deeply for her and the boys. Perhaps it's time to find a way to channel that enthusiasm into safer outlets."
"I know," Bruce said, running a hand through his hair. "But she's so⊠so alive. It's like trying to cage a butterfly."
The therapist nodded. "It's not about caging her, Bruce. It's about guiding her. Teaching her and the boys to weigh risks and rewards. To channel their energy into something positive without endangering themselves or others."
Bruce sat in silence, contemplating her words. He knew she was right, but it was easier said than done when it came to his vibrant wife. Her zest for life was both infectious and overwhelming at times. He thought back to the street carnival she had organized. The look of joy on the citizens' faces as they played games and ate cotton candy was something he hadn't seen in Gotham in a long time.
"There not all bad," he murmured, a small smile playing on his lips. "Her impulses have led to some amazing moments, too."
"Like what?" the therapist prompted, her curiosity piqued.
Bruce's smile grew as he recalled a recent incident. "Last week, she found out about a fundraising event for an underfunded children's hospital. Without asking, she decided to host a masquerade ball at the manor. She convinced Alfred to help, and together they transformed the place into a fairy tale. The kids had the time of their lives, and we ended up raising a fortune for those kids."
The therapist returned his smile. "That does sound wonderful. It seems her spontaneity has its benefits."
Bruce nodded. "It does. But it's also a double-edged sword. I want to support her, but I also need to keep everyone safe."
The therapist leaned back in her chair. "Communication is key, Bruce. It's about expressing your concerns without squashing her spirit. Have you tried talking to her about how her impulsiveness affects you?"
Bruce sighed, his eyes reflecting the weight of his words. "I've tried, but she takes it personally. She thinks I'm trying to control her."
The therapist nodded, her expression empathetic. "It's a common misconception. Setting boundaries isn't about control; it's about care and safety. Have you framed it that way?"
Bruce furrowed his brow. "I'm not sure. I've usually approached it from the perspective of the danger it could pose to the boys."
"It's important to express your feelings," the therapist said. "Tell her how her actions affect you and why you worry. It might help her understand your perspective better."
Bruce nodded slowly, considering her advice. It was true; he hadn't shared his own fears with her, only the potential risks to the boys. Perhaps that was where he was going wrong.
"Thank you, doctor," he said, rising from his chair. "I'll think about what you've said."
The therapist stood and offered a warm smile. "Remember, Bruce, it's about balance. And sometimes, that means taking a risk to find it."
Bruce nodded, her words echoing in his mind as he left the office and stepped into the Gotham night. The city was alive with the pulse of its inhabitants, a stark contrast to the calmness he'd just left behind. His thoughts were racing, trying to find a way to bridge the gap between his need for security and his wife's boundless spirit.
As he drove back to Wayne Manor, the grandeur of the estate came into view, the gothic architecture a stark contrast to the chaos of the city beyond its gates. The manor was more than just a home; it was a bastion of hope in a city that desperately needed it. The lights were on in the windows, a warm glow that promised sanctuary from the cold outside.
When he walked in, the smell of freshly baked cookies filled the air. You was in the kitchen, humming to yourself as you pulled a tray out of the oven. You turned to him, your face lighting up with a smile that never failed to melt his heart. "Hi, honey! How was your day?"
Bruce took a deep breath, steeling himself for the conversation he knew he had to have. "It was⊠interesting," he said, trying to keep his tone light. "How about yours?"
"Oh, you know," you replied with a shrug, placing the cookies on a rack to cool. "Just the usualâkeeping the boys out of trouble, planning the next big surprise for them." you winked at him, her eyes sparkling with mischief.
Bruce felt a twinge of both fondness and dread. He knew that look all too well. It was the look you got when she had another harebrained scheme up your sleeve. He walked over to you, wrapping his arms around your waist and pulling you into an embrace. "How about we talk about these surprises together from now on?"
You tilted your head back, your smile fading a bit. "What do you mean?"
Bruce took a deep breath. "I mean, I know you love surprising the boys, and I love that about you. But sometimes, your surprises have⊠unintended consequences. I want to be there to support you, but I also need to make sure everyone is safe."
You leaned back, looking up at him with a slightly defensive expression. "Not all of my surprises turn out bad," you said, your voice a bit softer than before.
Bruce felt his heart squeeze at the sight of you, flour smudged on your cheek and apron, looking so earnest. He gave a tight smile, trying to ease the tension. But his face was screaming, "Are you sure?"
You took a step back, "Okay, okay, maybe most of them," you conceded. "But the good ones make up for it, right?"
Bruce sighed, his arms dropping to his sides. "They do," he agreed. "But it's the potential for danger that I can't ignore. And not just for the boys, but for you too."
You rolled your eyes, brushing off the flour on your apron. "Me? I'm fine. I can handle myself."
Bruce's grip on your shoulders tightened slightly. "You know what I mean," he said, his voice serious. "How many times have you ended up in the hospital because of one of your⊠adventures?"
You winced, remembering the last time you had tried to rescue a cat stuck in a tree, only to end up with a broken arm and a bruised ego. "Okay, okay," you repeated, holding up your hands in surrender. "I get it. I can be a bit⊠much."
Bruce's expression softened, his eyes searching yours. "You're not 'much', you're amazing. I just don't want to lose you."
You took a deep breath, the weight of his words settling in. "I know," you said, your voice small. "But what about you? You're not much different, Bruce. Maybe even worse. You go out every night as Batman, risking your life."
He stepped back, his expression unreadable. "That's different," he said firmly. "That's for the city."
"Is it?" you asked, looking up at him with a hint of challenge in your eyes. "Or is it because you've convinced yourself that it's your duty? That you're the only one who can do it?"
Bruce's jaw tightened at your question. It was a fair point, one he'd wrestled with in the quiet moments of his life. He knew that his crusade as Batman was driven by his own fears and the need to keep the city that had taken his parents safe. But he also knew that the stakes were higher for him than they were for you.
"I've been trained for that," he said finally. "You⊠you have the biggest heart in the world, but sometimes you don't think about the risks."
You nodded, looking down at the cookies cooling on the rack. "I know," you murmured. "But it's just so hard to resist when I see something that could bring joy to people, especially the boys."
Bruce stepped closer, placing a gentle hand on your cheek. "I know your heart's in the right place," he said. "But we can't keep playing Russian roulette with our lives, not when we have so much to lose. I don't want to lose you. Or see you get hurt. I'm just asking, please, consider the risks before you act. And come to me, talk to me, let's find a way to make this work."
You searched his eyes, the gravity of his words sinking in. You knew he wasn't trying to stifle you; he was just worried. "Okay," you whispered, leaning into his touch. "I'll try."
Bruce's expression relaxed a bit, his thumb brushing against your cheek. "Thank you," he said softly. "Now, how about we sit down and talk about what's been on your mind? Maybe we can come up with some ideas together."
You nodded, swiping a strand of hair from your forehead. "Alright, I'll finish up on the cookies and then we can talk. Until then, want to help? Just to make sure I don't hurt myself?"
Bruce couldn't help but chuckle at your attempt to lighten the mood. "Sure," he said, taking the spatula from your hand. "Let's do this together."
As you both worked side by side in the kitchen, the tension began to ease. You chatted about the different flavors of cookies and which ones the boys would like best, while Bruce carefully placed the finished ones on a plate. The rhythm of your conversation was soothing, and it reminded him of the first time he had met youâhow your laugh had filled a room and made him feel alive again.

short stories from life. [masterlist]
# 1/2
"We should be reaching that building in a few minutes."
You nodded and didn't slow down when you heard Joel's footsteps behind you. The leaves crunched under your shoes and the air in the forest was pleasantly cool. It was as if you had done this before.
The flu that had been sweeping through Jackson for a few weeks now had also reached the people patrolling the area. Soon, Tommy had no choice but to ask you and Joel to start working together again.Â
Despite his concerns, he was pleasantly surprised - you were a great team. That's why he recommended you check out one of the buildings, which was a bit further from your trail.
"Looks good." You said, stopping in front of a small house standing near the end of the forest.
"Yeah. Too good." Joel mumbled. "Do you remember that..."
"I remember." You interrupted him, because your thoughts immediately drifted to a certain house you had found on your way to Jackson. "I saved your ass that time." You smiled, noticing the grimace on Joel's face.
"Keep telling yourself that, darling." he mumbled, heading towards the entrance.
But this time it was safe. The house was small and it took you a few minutes to check all the rooms. Apart from a few canned goods, a few old blankets and a dead bat in the bedroom, everything seemed long forgotten.
"This will be a good base for further patrols." Joel noted as you spread your things in the living room with the intention of spending the night there. "Once we check the area and make sure everything is safe."
You sat down on the dusty couch. The feeling that all this seemed strangely familiar to you filled you since your first joint patrol with Joel.
He didn't press you, he wasn't pushy. The safe distance you wanted to maintain was perceived by him, although you felt his gaze on you many times. You weren't without blame either. Your eyes often lingered on his broad shoulders for a few seconds longer than necessary. You missed him.
"We'll eat something and you can lie down." Joel announced, pulling sandwiches out of his backpack. "I'll take the first watch."
"There's water in the bathroom. Cold, but it's there." You noticed, doing the same as he did.
"Maybe the house is connected to a well. It's hard to tell right now." You handed him a cup of coffee. "Are you going to the party on Saturday?"
You looked at Joel, surprised. "Since when are you interested in parties in Jackson?"
He shrugged and chewed a bite of sandwich. "Ellie asked."
"Oh, did she say anything else?"
"That this new guy, Walsh, asked her about you."
Warmth crept up the back of your neck and you hoped Joel didn't notice your confusion. You weren't dating anyone, you didn't want to. But you knew what Miller was talking about. You and Walsh had been on a few patrols together, and you'd been seen together in the city too.
"Your coffee's getting cold, Joel." you replied, cutting off the discussion.
The room was filled with Joel's quiet snoring. You had been sitting by the window for almost two hours, observing the area. The first rays of sunlight were breaking through the treetops, and you only noticed a few squirrels and a hare.
Your spine was slowly starting to hurt, so you got up quietly and, trying not to wake Joel, you went to the door. Maybe you should have let him know you were leaving, but you saw how much he needed sleep. The lack of people meant that you were almost always outside Jackson, so that those who had families could rest or recover.
You quietly closed the door behind you and inhaled the fresh air. With your finger still near the trigger, you moved forward. The area was quiet, the fog was rising here and there between the trees, and even the birds were just waking up from their sleep.
An unexpected rustling behind you gave you goosebumps. You turned around sharply and saw a pair of rabbits disappearing behind the bushes.
"You scared me." You mumbled to yourself smiling "Don't do that again."
Then you heard a completely unfamiliar voice "I promise I won't do that again, doll."
You turned around sharply and saw the man behind you, then you felt something hit you and darkness engulfed you.
Something was tugging at you. You felt your wrists being tied. Some pushy hands searched all over you, and then someone patted your cheek.
"Doll, wake up!" the same voice, unfamiliar to you "Mike, you hit her too hard."
More steps and someone crouched down next to you. He brushed your hair away from your face.
"Such a pretty face, and look what you did." the first voice hissed "I hope you didn't break her nose."
"Do you need her nose for something?" Mike sneered and patted you on the cheek a few times "Hey! Get up!"
You moaned quietly and opened your eyelids. You almost immediately wanted to back away, but there was a tree behind you, and two men in front of you, who were staring at you with interest.
"Morning, doll." one of them greeted you with a smile "I'm Patrick, and you?"
You pressed your hands together violently, trying to get as far away from them as you could. It was impossible, you knew that.Â
Fuck! How could you be so careless? You had been with someone last time, but now...Â
You thought about the sleeping Joel. Maybe you had at least managed to get far enough away from the house that they wouldn't find him so quickly. Hopefully.
"Hey, bitch!" Mike nudged you in the shoulder, and your gaze immediately went to him. "Can you talk? I didn't knock your teeth out, did I?" he cackled as if he had told a good joke.
"No." You replied quietly.
"Good start." Patrick nodded, his eyes lazily moving over your face. There was something strange about him, something slippery and indecent. "Will you tell us what you're doing here, doll?"
"I was walking."
"You were walking." Patrick repeated after you, reaching out and pulling a blade of grass from your hair, there was something in his gesture that gave you shivers "Pretty girls like you shouldn't walk alone. Is anyone with you?"Â
You shook your head and Mike immediately spat in the grass.
 âShe's lying!â he growled, standing up. âI'm sure someone's nearby.â
Patrick frowned. 'Come on, I'll help you.' He grabbed you by the arm and pulled you to your feet, then pinned you against a tree. 'Who's with you?' he hissed.Â
'I'm alone.' you repeated.Â
'Wrong answer.'
You flinched nervously as a knife blade flashed before your eyes. It was the same switchblade that Joel had given you. You carried it with you, they had to find it when they searched you.Â
âListen to me carefully, doll.' Patrick moved the blade to your chest and soon you saw the first button on your shirt pop off, then the second. 'You'll tell us what we want, okay? Be a good girl. Maybe then I'll be gentle with you, huh? I wouldn't want to hurt you...' he made a sad face as if he was really sorry, two more buttons popped off. 'But I haven't had a warm pussy in a while, I might be too hard for you. Unless you like that? Do you like it, doll?"
"I'm alone." You managed to choke out, trying to keep your voice from shaking. "I swear. I... I got away from the group."
"That bitch is lying, I can feel it!" Mike growled, looking around the area. "Do what you have to and let's get out of here."
Patrick watched you closely. His gaze slid down to your chest, which was rising rapidly with every breath. Your bra peeked out from under your shirt, the outline of your breasts must have been clearly visible to him.
"You could have been good, doll..." he whispered. "We could have been something great."
"Please..." you groaned.
At that moment you heard a shot. You didn't know where it came from, but you saw Mike stagger and fall hard to the ground. In an instant Patrick looked up, then looked at you.
"Who is it?!" he growled angrily, pressing you against the trunk so hard that you felt something stab you painfully in the back.
"Your Death." you gasped.
Another shot and warm blood splattered on your face. You slid to the ground gasping for air. Patrick's body lay beneath your legs. Strong hands grabbed your arms and then your face.
"Are you okay?"
Joel!
You nodded your head violently. He noticed the bonds on your wrists and when he looked around he saw the switchblade lying in the grass. He quickly cut the rope. In a second your arms were wrapped around his neck and a quiet cry escaped your throat.
"It's okay, I've got you." he whispered, stroking your hair and back "You're safe."

Companion Underwear Tier List
Do you know how hard it was to put this together? Did I at any point think I'd be sitting here overthinking underpants? No. Never. I hope all my teachers are proud of me!
Underwear was assessed based on FOUR criteria: sex appeal, description, bulge/clam protection, and bondage appeal.
Are you ready for the break down? Of course you are.
More under the cut!
First up, Lae'zel.
Sex appeal: That is quite the sexy underwear. It being leather means everything is swampy down there, though. BUT that would be a perk for some of you heathens. 9/10 Description: Built for function rather than fun. What? Have you SEEN that thing? Imagine the wedgies you get trying to fight in it! 6/10 Bulge/clam protection: It covers the most important bits, and it's leather, but enough is uncovered that a direct groin hit would hurt 6/10 Bondage Appeal: Leather? Straps? Tie me up, mommy. 10/10 FINAL SCORE: 31/40, or 78% or C
Shadowheart:
Sex appeal: They're a nicely made matching set of underwear 8/10 Description: If pants could brood⊠Absolutely fucking hilarious 10/10 Bulge/clam protection: Material seems weak, and it doesn't provide good coverage 6/10 Bondage appeal: Pretty generic mildly sexy underwear with a bit of an edge. 7/10 FINAL SCORE: 31/50 or 77% or C
Astarion:
Sex appeal: It's Astarion I'd be eaten alive if I don't give this a 10/10 Description: Embroidered into the cloth: 'If you're reading this, you managed to bed or behead me. Either way, you got lucky.' Made me laugh out loud irl, so 10/10. Bonus 5 points since he embroidered them himself (effort wins points from me ok) Bulge/clam protection: Look it's cloth. No protection there. And it shows his butt wrinkles (+2 for butt wrinkles) 6/10 Bondage appeal: Generic tighty-not-whities do with them what you will. 6/10 FINAL SCORE: 37/40 or 92% or A
Gale:
Sex appeal: Sorry, Gale. That waist. 7/10 Description: Energy crackles around these. Gale wouldn't⊠Surely he didn't enchant his⊠Description? Funny. 10/10. But one has to wonder what sort of enchantment he went for. Prestidigitation? Or some sort of temperature control? A smart man would go for prestidigitation. Extra 7 points for the enchantment. Bulge/clam protection: It's cloth, but he's got good coverage going AND they're magic9/10 Bondage appeal: Who likes shorts? Are shorts bondage-able? 3/10 FINAL SCORE: 36/40 or 90% or A
Wyll
Sex appeal: Bonus for cut, but I gotta ding you for the drawstring. Sorry, Wyll. 6/10 Description: Long may these gird the Blade of Frontiers. Yes, yes, we know. You're the Blade of Frontiers. Makes it sound they're his only pair of underpants, too! 5/10 Bulge/clam protection: It's cloth. Do you think Mizora protects his bulge in any way? I doubt it. 3/10 Bondage appeal: They're white underpants. 2/10 FINAL SCORE: 16/40 or 40% or D
Karlach
Sex appeal: It's Karlach, she's by default hot. Look at the cut! The straps! 9/10 Description: How do these not burn off? THAT IS A GOOD QUESTION, GAME, and now I'm wondering too. 9/10 Bulge/clam protection: Coverage is not that great BUT, they can take the heat. They should probably grant some sort of fire immunity or something. Larian, fix this. 8/10 Bondage appeal: They look pretty bondage-y, but also Mama K. 7/10 FINAL SCORE: 33/40 or 82% or B
Halsin
Sex appeal: To be honest it looks like he's wearing something a size too small, Halsin, hun, give your crotch room to breathe. 6/10 Description: Why does it smell like a herb garden? So at least we know he keeps it clean? Unless HE smells like a herb garden⊠have you considered that? 10/10 Bulge/clam protection: Keeping everything close and tight to minimize damage. if there's one thing you know about yourself is that you shouldn watch your mouth when you're drunk.
but you're out with your friend, and she looks beautiful when she laughs, and it's so good to see her not stressed from work, and it's great that you finally get to hang out after such a long time, and you can't help but ask her:
"why?"
"why what?"
"why do you humans keep wasting so many resources trying to make that earth planet habital? i don't get it."
she gets this somber look in her face. the laughter stops. she looks like she might cry.
you feel terrible.
"i'm so sorry, i shouldn't have... you don't have to answer that-"
"my grandma was born there, you know that?"
you stop talking. she looks distant.
"when i was a kid, she told us all about how it used to be, before everything. when she was little, she lived in a small house with her parents, and her mom grew crops in the garden, and they had a tree that gave them bitersweet fruit on the summers. sometimes birds would make nests on that tree, and she and my great grandma would set up little houses and playthings for the babies to play with.
she was always fascinated by birds. all animals, really, but especially birds. i've never seen a bird in my entire life if not for her drawings, and she always regretted the fact that she never got into coloring to show us exactly what they looked like.
she has pictures of her and her college friends visiting waterfalls and running together in the wilderness. she used to camp, like, a lot, really camp, in the middle of the woods, just her and her friends, like we read in the books. it's different from camping in vr, she kept telling us, we had to actually learn how to not die in the woods.
she married my grandpa at the beach, and... it's so different from the simulations. the sunset was beautiful in the pictures she showed us, but she told us that it was even better in person. she looked so beautiful with her sunburnt skin, even though she was in pain, and we never have to worry about burning our skin because of the sun, everything is all so protected and artificial, we don't even see the sun anymore.
my grandparents promised each other that when they got older they would have a farm. my grandma always wanted a few birds and a big dog. but then, when my parents were ten years old, the planet was so screwed that they had to populate other planets. she kept telling us that she was one of the lucky ones, because my grandpa was in the military and they helped people evacuate, but that most people like her died on earth.
everyone thinks it's our fault, you know? we doomed our planet, why would we even be trying so hard to restore it? i don't know. my grandma did it because she didn't want my parents to grow up in this place, where everything is made up and she did it all for nothing, because we're still here and we know nothing different from it. and to be honest, it's kind of hard to believe it was her fault in the first place. she really did her best. she saved water. she planted trees. she protected birds and other wildlife. she protested.
the truth is: no one listened. no one important enough, at least. no one cared about the little people like her, who were just trying to live their lives in a doomed world, and kept doing her best. the big guys wanted the money and they fucked everyone else over just to have it."
"i'm sorry, i-"
"i guess now that we've lost everything people are finally learning to miss what we used to have. our lives weren't so bad. and we want to go home, even though that doesn't make sense. i don't know what home looks like. i don't know what a bird looks like, or what it's like to stand on a beach and feel the waves lap at your feet, or what the forest smells like. but i keep trying to go back anyways."
she takes a sip of her drink.
you stay silent.
"You humans have hundreds of planets under your control, so why do you waste so many resources trying to make that Earth planet habital? I genuinely don't understand."

I wish BoB's could take a second and look at episodes objectively, like without the Tommy of it all. Because, watching Confessions as a fan of all the characters, was just bad. It sucked. Eddie didn't get any character growth, Maddie was doing some weird hidden pregnancy thing for some reason, they had a fucking Glee speech, Maddie made a homophobic "joke", I could go on. Like, take the shipping goggles off for a second and realize you (generally speaking), in fact, did not get what you wanted.
Iâm so mad their pregnancy was unplanned again. It makes way more narrative sense for them to come to the conclusion they want more kids together without having the situation essentially forced on them.
And yeah the Eddie thing started out strong! He acknowledged his mistakes to Father Brian!!! He said what happened! And then Fr Brian is like âyou should do something frivolous.â And thatâs it? No follow up? Is he going to actually work on acknowledging to Chris what happened? Has he talked about The Incident with Chris at all the past three months? Is he really going to settle for going to El Paso and being a witness to his sonâs life? Obviously I think the answer is supposed to be âwait and seeâ but thereâs been so little movement on him actually acknowledging the root cause of his actions, which is the grief he has for Shannon. Do you know how easy it would be for them to have him talk to the Real Shannon (i.e. her grave)? Theyâve already shown that location before! They were at the graveyard this season! Talking to Shannonâs grave about missing out on Chrisâs childhood would be so much more impactful than Brad being the reason that makes Eddie decides to leave.
And the Glee speech wouldnât be so bad if it was actually leading somewhere you know? They take pains to explain why Tommy had a comphet relationship with Abby using Glee as a metaphor for social progress and that would have been great if it lead to anything positive for Tommy like an âi love youâ for instance but because it doesnât actually let Tommy have something nice despite his past mistakes born of fear, it instead comes off as the hand of the writers reaching down to jerk off Ryan Murphy, which isnât a good look when the show is a Ryan Murphy Production.
And everyone has said it but the fact âhow many men did she turn gay?â Was the perfect set up for Buck to say heâs bisexual is just so indicative of this seasonâs inability to follow through on anything. Youâre telling me Buck wouldnât say âwell Iâm bi actuallyâ instead of that round about âI kissed a boyâ thing? Hell he could have said both things and it would have flowed better. âWell first of all Iâm bi and she was gone long before I ever kissed a boy.â *cue Josh*

salvation is unreachable, and your my salvation
synopsis - he never deserved you and so he hates you for it
includes - blade
warnings - gn!reader, angst, no comfort, wc - 1.2k
a/n: a little gift for my pookie @https-sourlimes although its probably a bit too angsty to be a gift..
blade abhorred you.
there was absolutely no doubt about that - from the way he spoke to you and how he physically looked irritated or somewhat angered to the way he always actively avoided running into you. although the last one wasn't the easiest of tasks as you did work together but that made the message even more clearer when you couldn't find him anywhere if he wasn't required to be there.
but you never understood why, neither did anyone that knew you two. blade was always the more secretive type of person, someone that never shared more than necessary so it was truly anyone's guess as to why he felt such strong feelings of detest toward you.
occasionally, someone would try and reassure you that he simply just didn't like anyone. however that was only partially true. blade clearly was not a people person and could be described as âintimidatingâ or even rather imposing, so it wasn't exactly a surprise that he glared at the average person or they found him to be a formidable presence.
but he wasn't like that with you, there was a very clear difference and it was so confusing to you. from the very first meeting with blade, you tried your absolute hardest to be nice to him and get along with your new co-workers. there was nothing that could be recalled that would cause him to behave in such a way to you.
although, as tragic as it may sound, you had gotten used to the way blade treated you - just because blade was always rude towards you didn't mean you should let that get you down, or even discourage you from being nice to him. but unknowingly, that was the problem.
there was once a man, a blacksmith, who was human. he was someone who had feelings that were mainly positive, someone who had a passion for his work - but he was no more. he had destroyed himself, in a way akin to how he used to melt down failed weapons, and then had painfully built himself back up to physically embody what he had once found a great joy in crafting.
he had become a weapon.
one armed with a similar blade that had once been used to pierce his body over and over, that caused him so much pain and suffering. killing any remaining remnants of the man he once was - any part of him that was still there after the mara spread through his very body and infected his mind.
and ever since that man had died. blade was born.
blade embodied all the pain and suffering that past figure caused. he wasn't used to any sort of positive feeling whether it be experiencing or receiving. and so when you came along, a positive presence that entered his life, blade wouldn't admit it, but it felt so foreign to him that it was scary.
blade would've preferred his first experience with you to be one of violence than you being genuinely kind to him. at least that would've been something he was used to, something familiar that would make him more likely to adjust to your presence quicker - but that affection that was so distant to him made it harder.
somewhere along the line, blade had noticed something different. the pure hatred he held for you had begun to morph into a foreign feeling that confused him - why was he feeling this way? what had evoked these feelings?
bladeâs lack of comprehension when it came to figuring out his feelings wasn't doing him any favors. he couldn't figure out exactly what these feelings meant or even what they were and even though he desperately tried to push them away, they always came back stronger,
in all honesty, it scared him. so eventually it resulted in more anger resonating inside his mind, hatred that eventually became associated with you - before you came along, blade was somewhat content with his life as a weapon, it was simple. but now you entered his life and now he was experiencing all these confusing feelings that evoked more fear into him than any fight ever could.
so to him, the solution was simple. you needed to go. blade knew that was quite the impossible task to fulfill so he did the next best thing and tried to distance himself from you. limiting all your interactions and therefore limiting his exposure to your kindness.
although blade obviously was completely oblivious to the simple fact that he had developed some sort of âcrushâ on you - so the solution wasn't as simple as avoiding you. blade would soon find that out by the fact that you consumed his thoughts,
blade despised you.
more accurately, despised the fact that he probably could pick you out in a sea of people, that he could recognise your voice anywhere. blade hated how he visibly unconsciously perked up at the sight of you before immediately resuming his usual facade, how he would occasionally catch himself thinking about you.
he detested you. so why was he slowly becoming more welcome to your presence?
why had his plan to avoid you slowly devolved into him doing the exact opposite?
however, you had interpreted this as him finally coming around to you - something that was somewhat accurate but blade didn't want you to notice his sudden change in behavior. you noticed the small signs that slipped through his facade and you secretly were overjoyed that he finally had stopped seemingly hating you.
although, you didn't change how you acted around him. a small part of you was scared that it may destroy the progress you two had made. maybe he truly did just need some more time to get used to you being around, get accustomed to your presence?
but blade was no better off. spending even that little bit more time with you had led to those unknown feelings brewing inside him grow even more. they consumed his brain and what was left of his heart, warm, fuzzy feelings that he wished to desperately rip from his body - for the first time, he even began wishing that his mara would begin to act up and bring some sense back to him.
although there seemed to be nothing blade could do to drag himself away from you. he began craving your presence, wishing to hear your voice and admire you. each time these thoughts consumed him, he quickly caught himself and tried bringing some semblance of sense back to his mind.
and so he resorted to what he knew best - violence.
he could try and block out the pain and betrayal in your eyes when he drew his blade at you, pointing it directly at your heart.
he could try and convince himself that it wasn't him who was spitting insults and threats at you. words that seemed to be pure words of hatred and disgust but really masked the pure affection and longing he had for you.
but he was scared. loving you would mean letting you past his walls and facades, showing you the very little human sides of him that remained intact and could experience vulnerability. but letting you in was exactly what those parts of him would want.
unfortunately, blade hated you.
he hated longing for the life that he could have with you. he hated how you made him feel.
and even if he did accept his feelings, you deserve someone better - perhaps the man he once was, not the just the fractured remnants.

A ssbbw gets a fat transfer, surprising all of her coworkers when she comes in with a tiny tummy and a gigantic ass.
This sounds like the graciebon situation but taken to an even more extreme degree...I love it~
Source: can't find their DA anymore :( it said turok44.
Something like that body type, I imagine... all those hundreds of pounds from all over her body transformed into fatness only on her legs, especially the upper thigh and booty region.
Since it was still pure fat, it jiggled like a damn earthquake was hitting her with the epicenter right in between her gigantic clapping rearmouds. It was impossible not to stare, not just her coworkers but everyone else that she passed by. She simply bit her lip, not making it any easier to look away due to the manner in which she swayed those triple doorframe smashing vast hips, bobbling them side to side, almost like she rewarded you for staring at her... That must have been it, right? She could have just as easily taken the surgery to remove her fat, while keeping some breasts and butt for an hourglass shape, a slim thick shape of sorts. Very attractive, convenient, not so outstanding it causes everyone to look and want to film...but no, she specifically chose to transfer ALL that extra fat into her butt, hips, thighs... she wanted to have a ginormous, colossal ass, and the attention she got from it was just a bonus.
She even made jokes about how they had to increase the number of reinforced chairs for her to sit on. She used to sit on three due to how heavy she was already, fairly wide too - but now she was MUCH wider, to the point where only three chairs would cause too much overflow, not enough equilibrium, and surely a very cushioned, soft landing after those shattered chairs were pushed aside and smothered under every inch of the plumpest butt cheeks anyone had ever seen.
"Wh-what happened?? How did you lose so much weight?...Or well...you know..." A coworker sheepishly asked - she had been a great friend due to both of them being SSBBWs in terms of weight, even if that coworker didn't want to have all that weight, she wanted to be skinny, but was never able to due to a condition that really facilitated weight gain. After explaining how the fat transfer surgery worked, an idea sparked in the mind of the now extremely bottom heavy woman.
"If you still want to get rid of any excess weight to get your dream body...my ass still has room~" Before giving it a firm, hand sinking SPANK that caused those gigawagons to wobble like crazy for what felt like forever.
Hopefully not just her coworker, but many others accept this idea~ <3

@thedouglastrap, I want to first acknowledge and celebrate you for doing what looks like some pretty significant research into the TSR era, the OSR, and how the WOTC era is different; I respect you so much more for that than Average Commentor who responds based on their perception of Old D&D owing mainly to hearsay.
Anyway, it's true that the old school spirit of AD&D 2e is somewhat contested in the OSR, but I do still think the release of 3e works as a dividing line due to just how different it was. Although 2e was definitely starting to shift in a direction closer to modern D&D, it is also true that
A. that shift really began in the 1e era, especially with Dragonlance, and
B. 2e does still have all the most crucial hallmarks of old school dungeon play: reactions, morale, XP for treasure (as an optional rule, but still) and dungeon turns.
(Granted, they did kinda screw up reactions by having the roll modified by morale instead of PC charisma for some reason, but other than that it's good. There's even multiple columns you can use to account for the PCs' or monsters' demeanor!)
Now of course reactions and morale were always more like guidelines for the DM to lean on if they couldn't/didn't want to decide on their own, but the fact that they are in the game at all says a lot; specifically, it tells DMs "These are things you should be considering." 3e's monster lore is great, but it's a lot easier to ignore a paragraph of fluff than an actual game mechanic. Similarly, it's a lot easier when skimming a stat block to see that a creature's morale score is a high number, indicating they're less likely to flee or surrender, than to scan through paragraphs of lore to find a written description of the same. When something like this is more usable during actual play, it is less likely to be ignored.
3e brought in a lot of new players, in addition to bringing back a lot of old ones. And I'm sure there were many old-timers who'd keep playing monsters as having agency out of habit, and I'm sure there were many new DMs who figured it out on their own, but like... the game itself wasn't teaching those things anymore.
Related: @imsobadatnicknames2, most of what you said about BX does apply to 2e! Again, 2e was a clear step toward 3e, but in the big picture it's much closer to 1e and BX than it is to any modern edition. Main difference is that AD&D clerics (in both AD&Ds) get their spell at level 1, so healing is slightly easier from the get-go. 1e does have negative HP, but 2e turns it into an optional rule.
So there is a pretty clear shift in playstyle between TSR D&D and WotC D&D: for better and for worse, D&D 3e introduced the idea of encounter balance, de-emphasized mechanics that had previously encouraged the GM to think of the monsters as real living creatures (reaction rolls, morale, etc.), and it had the effect of making D&D a much more combat-focused game. D&D has always been a game that's opinionated about combat, it's basically the most expressive and detailed form of play regardless of edition, but combat in the TSR editions was not exactly zoomed in and tactical. The WotC editions purposefully made combat zoomed in, granular, and tactical.
And this has had an effect on playstyle: since combat is now the main form of player expression what players actually want is for their characters to get into combat. Because combat is the most fun part of the game. But the game has also changed from the largely amoral dungeon-crawling game into a game of fantasy heroics (even though a lot of the trappings of the amoral dungeon-crawling still remain, which contributes to the dissonance), so you can't just have the player characters going into combat for the sake of it. That would frame the player characters as kind of Fucked Up, and we can't have that in our supposedly heroic fantasy.
What you end up with is a variety of contrivances like "they're bandits," "they're cultists," or, my all-time favorite, "they attacked first" to make the action seem morally justifiable, even though gameplay is still motivated by a desire to fight. The monsters fight to the death and, importantly, can often not be reasoned and negotiated with, partly because combat is supposed to be the fun, engaging part everyone is here to do, but also because if they actually acted like reasonable people it could cause dissonance with the whole "the player characters are the goodest heroes."
As my friend @tenleaguesbeneath once called it: what is actually going on is that the player characters are hunting people and monsters who have been programmed to fight to the death and never negotiate for sport, while justifying it as self-defence.
It's a simple power fantasy, and I don't think there's anything wrong with it. Sometimes you want to play a morally uncomplicated game about killing guys with cool magic swords. But I think it's also fun to think about what the specific types of monsters players end up fighting reveals about Society the invisible, unexamined ideology lying under the surface that the designers of even modern D&D have failed to examine. And to me it often reads like a frontier justice fantasy. None of that is to detract from anyone's joy of the game, and for me it's just fun to think about and post about this stuff while Still Enjoying the Game, but if someone expressing that opinion makes you feel uncomfortable, why? That's pretty silly imo.

So I am a certified Catwin shipper. I have written a series that currently sits at 90k words that is casefic but also them getting together. But I am also a multishipper and have written some Payneland stories as well.
So I was understandably quite happy to hear we would've gotten Catwin in S2 because I love the dynamic and I love Lukas Gage and his performance.
But it has made me very sad to see how some people are genuinely upset by this news. I don't think it's justified, frankly. People are doing a lot of filling in the blanks, guessing, and supposition. Just because Catwin would have happened doesn't mean Payneland wouldn't have. Also, we have no idea the context in which all of this would have gone down.
It's important to remember that The Cat King also went on a journey and changed as a person throughout season 1 (as did all the characters.) He is not the same person who slapped the bracelet on Edwin when they first met and not just because he died and was resurrected.
He's matured, settled and grown. It's very possible this arc would have continued. Even if you hated TCK in S1, you may have come to love him in S2, or at least hate him less. Redemption arcs are great fodder for stories and I have no doubt the writers and Lukas would have done that kind of arc justice.
Or maybe Edwin would have had his hot girl summer and TCK was the same old lothario. In which case, he'd definitely be no threat to Payneland endgame. This scenario would make me sad for TCK because he does seem to have genuine feelings for Edwin beyond the sexual, but that was certainly a way they could have gone with it.
My point is, we're missing a lot of context. If you were to take plot points of S1 out of context as well, it would be very hard to envision the final product.
I mean:
Niko gets infested with dandelion sprites that nearly kill her. These sprites manifest with cartoon sparkles around her head and they feed on attention. When they get out of her brain, they're tiny snarky humans she keeps in a terrarium.
Jenny gets set up by Niko with a quiet librarian who turns out to be psycho killer stalker.
People jump off a lighthouse and get swallowed up by a giant angler fish who is siren-ing them to their death. Their ghosts linger, and this annoys the ghost who mans the lighthouse so he hires the boys. Charles yeets the Night Nurse into the fish, and inside she has a talk with an oddly calm and optimistic man. Oh, also the fish is called Angie and she didn't do any of this maliciously.
My point is, this show is camp. That's part of the charm of it. Camp plotlines sound absolutely wild when you distill them to one-liners. When you add in inciting incidents, context and character interactions, these turn from wacky scenarios into full, entertaining stories.
Please don't catastrophize based on crumbs! Whether we get a S2 or not, it's really not worth getting that worked up over. We can't draw conclusions based on what we've been given. It's all guesses, and it could have changed a million times before the episodes were finished.
Also please don't get upset at Catwin shippers for being happy about this. We just wanted to see more of Lukas and George interacting. Most of us are Payneland fans, too and understand that would be the most likely endgame.

I promise Iâll make Murder Drones art but let me get this out of my system
GUYS I AM READY TO MAKE THIS MOVIE MY WHOLE PERSONALITY
Going in I was a bit weary since I did in fact watch the original on broadway, and honestly, it didnt really click for me. Donât get me wrong I LOVED the story and characters but I just never felt emerged, either due to the theater setting or its break-neck pacing. Luckily this movie works WAY better for me, and thats mostly due to them extending the runtime of act 1 to nearly double its length. We really get to breathe and be with these characters, and surprisingly I never once felt bored it was all so well made and paced.
The biggest concern I had though was that they were going to play down the charm of the original to make it âless broadwayâ and appeal to broader audiences. Mostly because I watched the new Mean Girls movie be so ashamed of being a musical that it got me worried for the whole genera. Luckily they didnât they turned the campy charm up to 11, with full group choreography and some insanely creative set designs (Dancing Through Life). Like these are the EXACT VIBES I wanted from this movie.
One of my favorite parts of this movie is actually the production. Specifically the set design and filming, where they actual made almost all of the sets irl. They planted thousands of poppies just for the opening number, they actually made Munchkinland and Shiz, itâs all real. This movie also just looks great (ignoring some lighting) like the colors were POPING OFF the screen colorful especially in the beginning of âWhat is This Feelingâ this movie is a visual treat. They really kept CGI to a minimum (obviously the animals but whatever) in order to pay homage to its theater roots. And it looks absolutely PHENOMINAL huge props to the team on that. Secondly they filmed the singing in direct, meaning no voice overs. And that weirdly didn't sound off at all the singing quality was amazing
that reminds me Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande were SO GOOD. They ate, they slayed, they Cooked, they every-other-gen-alpha-term-of-praise-I-can-think-of. Their casting just fits the roles so well with a 110% commitment coming from both of them. Cynthiaâs Elpheba might actual be my favorite interpretation of the character Iâve seen. Also the part they added with the original actresses (Idina Menzel and Kristin Chenoweth) interacting with the new ones was maybe the most fan-service thing in this whole movie and I was here for it I gasped in the theater along with my friends.
Like I canât overstate enough how much I ENJOYED this movie (I guess an essay long Tumblr rant will do) theres just an infectious enthusiasm and passion radiating off the screen. It really feels like a movie made with love, like everyone making this wanted to make it.
I canât recommend enough that you go watch it if your a fan of musicals or broadway you'll have a ball with this one. 9/10.

Ironically enough, my moment was around the end of Heavensward MSQ, maybe even into post-MSQ. I thought it'd make Lily even more miserable to have lost his first love so yeah, HaurcheWoL be upon ye.
For Lily though, I don't think there was a specific moment? Haurchefant had been flirting with him since they met, but Lily not having the confidence and also being oblivious to flirting didn't really pick up on it properly until Haurchefant confessed. Though, Lily asked for time to think of an answer, and during that time it became obvious to him how loved he was. Though, the Banquet happened, taking Lily's focus away from love and bringing him back into a more anxious state than ever. So knowing there was someone willing to go to great lengths to not just protect him, but also his younger siblings (he lives in Ul'dah, they're 5 viera, they stand out quite a lot). It was a slow build-up of realization, but his hindsight was 20-20, so when it all added up his heart was being gently embraced by a man who loved him so much.
Fun extra fact (it's mot fun): Lily mainly blames himself for Haurchefan't death. Around the time of the Vault, he has picked up the arts of Astrology, since he wanted to help in a different way. So he thinks that, because his abilities as a healer were lacking, Haurchefant died. If he had just been better, trained more, worked harder, then Haurchefant would've lived. "But what abt Alphinaud?" You may be asking. Well, he did his best? It's not his fault, no no, Lily were the one Haurchefant shielded, Lily were the one who didn't heal enough, it's Lily's fault.
fellow wol x npc shippers- If applicable, what was the "oh" moment for you and your oc falling for their love interest? Was yours seperate from your WoL's?
#heavensward spoilers#i was very unwell at the time of developing lily so thats why he's also not okay AJDHSJS#im doing waaay better now but im also so attached to haurchefant that ive become delusional#i miss my wife tails. i miss him a lot#wolqotd#reblog#rambling abt my bbygirl (a 6' tall guy who's also build like a fridge)
