I know its been a while but Bad keeps bringing it up and i wasnt here back then so i wanted to talk about the happy pills proposal.

You could see that happening as this nice happy positive thing. Because in his moment of happiness what Forever needed to be truely happy was marrying Bad. Because thats what deep down would make him happy.

But thats not how i watched it (i literally cried).

Because everything was perfect. It was the perfect romantic setting. A field of perfect beautiful rose bushes. On a perfectly nice bench. The prefect place to get asked the perfect question by the perfect guy. Forevers perfect blond hair was falling down his back. His perfect white suit was spotless. A perfect unwavering smile plastered on his face. And perfectly dead eyes of someone Bad couldnt recognize. Everything was perfect just like the federation would love it. And thats why Bad hates every part of this. Thats why it breaks his heart. Because thats not his Forever sitting in front of him. Its not Forever confessing his love. Its just an empty shell of ghe men he loves being puppetiered by the federation. The organization that has to ruin everything. Even a moment that was suposed to be just theirs.

And thats why i think it was one of the most tragic 4halo moment ever.

Oh boy it's really hard for me to rewatch Gravity Falls and see how Fiddleford is being called a "kook" knowing in fact that he's an absolute genius and literally could've been a millionaire—but still he dumped all his potential and future just to help his "old friend" (aka someone he's secretly been in love with) just to lose against a fucking yellow triangle and end up with a huge trauma that he literally lost his mind trying to forget it wtf

He even had a fight with his wife because he forgot to bring her a christmas present, but he gave Ford TWO handmade gifts... and Ford broke one of them 😭😭😭 (not to mention the axolotl incident)

All because he liked a man 🫠 (yk

The most frustrating thing to see is when a fandom is like Smart And Passionate™ and makes all these theories and connections based on symbolism and foreshadowing... And you just have to watch them get clowned cuz the ones making that piece of media don't give two shits about art and just want something to sell.

i've been replaying tlou2 and i think one of the saddest deaths for me is definitely Yara's. like she was such a good older sister and always put Lev above herself and it's just so heartbreaking. even though she didn't understand Lev at first she came around and even ran away with him, leaving everyone and everything behind. and then when she sees her mom's literal corpse, she doesn't even talk about how she feels. she immediately rushes to Lev and comforts him. then she comforts him AGAIN while the trio are walking towards Haven. her final act was shooting Isaac to protect Lev. LIKE AAHHHFJDH her death is so devastating. :(

I love libraries.

I'm browsing the WWI shelves (as you do) and notice a very old book about the war. I glance at the first pages that talk about how one day the war will be over and we'll look at this place and not see any signs of the battlefield.

Then it hits me. And I check the publishing date.

This book was printed before the war's end. Not written. Printed. The physical object was created in 1918, while the war in question was raging and the end was as yet uncertain.

Now I'm standing on the other side of the apocalypse, with this physical link to that era in my hands. I'm living proof that the war did end and life did go on and we can all look at the end of the world as a long-ago memory.

Reading old books is cool enough, connecting our minds and hearts through the ideas of people who lived long ago, but there's something extra profound about holding a copy of the book that comes from the time that it was written. It's a physical link between the past and the present connecting me to those long-ago people. A piece of the past come into the future that gives me the chance to almost take the hand of some long-ago reader, to hold something they could have held, connecting not just mentally but physically to their era, a moment of connection across more than a century.

Omg SAME! I have run into way too many fics that sounded cool and had an interesting premise, and then I check it out and the writing is atrocious. Like, painful to read. I just can't do it, it hurts.

nothing more devastating than seeing really cool art about a fic and the artist raving about how much they loved it so you check it out and theres no paragraph breaks

Not enough people talk about this moment in Catching Fire.

Peeta immediately recognizes the sound of Gale getting whipped and considering how we know his mother is abusive, this can only mean that Peeta and his brothers must have been whipped often enough for him to recognize it even from a distance.

God, there are so many details hidden in the background like this. It amazes me and says so much about how good of a writer Suzanne Collins is, but this detail in particular breaks my heart.

Peeta goes through so much in his life and yet he still chooses to be kind.
