"narcissistic abuse" is just abuse. It can be emotional, physical, any kind really, but defining it by the abuser's (potential) mental state is not only ableist and causes more harm than good, but doesn't accurately describe what happened and doesn't hold the abuser properly accountable. What is described as narcissistic abuse can be done by literally anybody, not just people with NPD. Please think about the words you're using.

Also, please stop calling random self-absorbed assholes narcissists, you are not their therapist. You cannot diagnose random tiktokers chasing clout with a complex personality disorder because they were rude.

I am taking a mini writing break. Idk how long but whew. What a start to the new year 🥲

This is honestly why I don't take my ass outside no more. Chuz its always fn something.

I picked up my car from the shop this morning and almost got into 2 accidents chuz mfs be driving these streets like they're auditioning for Nascar.

One of my dogs has been having issues with her ears lately. We figured it may be an ear infection but the vet always talm bout they don't see shit so we tried to handle it at home.

And my dog proceeded to scratch her eardrum out 🥲 (she's home, she's good, it will grow back apparently?) I was 10 mins away from finishing my shift and my dog came running in, crying, bloody ass ear, and blood all in her mouth and on her neck 🥲

I juss kept asking, "what did you do?!" As if she could answer 🤣 and where was my family? Watching tv I guess since I'm apparently the ONLY mf that can watch the dogs. But everybody wanna play with them and take pics until it's time to take care of them, right?

I spent 4 hours at the emergency vet where my other dog spent ALL 4 hours screaming at the top of her lungs. Which, yknow is just perfect for someone with social anxiety. I was like damn, yall embarrassing me in front of the yt people 😪 whole place silent but my dogs wanna cry and and bark 😒 one had an excuse, the other one did not lol. I thought she had to go potty just for us to come home and she silent as a church mouse.

To say I have a headache is an understatement. I honestly wish I could call off work. But with the way my family likes to eat into my off days, I'd rather work 🥲

All this to say, it's a bad day, not a bad year. I will be okay after some headache medicine, a shower, and some good sleep. My joy of the day is that I got my car back 🙌🏽

But yeah, I'm gonna need a min to recover from this one. My ask box and dms are open but don't be weird about it.

Much the same way they handled Crystal with such kindness, they did the same for Charles. They treated him as he treats others: with grace, warmth, and innate understanding. They never were afraid to show his anger, his failures, his misery, and his lowest points. But they never used it to make him the butt of a joke to imply he failed in any way. No, they instead showed why he is the light in the darkness for Crystal and Edwin, he is the north by which they set their compass and the place in the world they are always going to be safe and protected.

Charles is a good man. But rarer than a good man, is a genuinely kind one and Charles Rowland is kind in a way unusual for male characters on TV, especially teenage boys. They are so kind to him and his background. He's a delight and the only reason the show is as comforting as it is.

I do want to clarify that I do not hate children. In fact, I work quite often with children, and have for many years.

Minors are just as permitted in fandom as adults, it's a space intended for everyone.

But waaaay too many parents are really taking a hands off approach to parenting nowadays, and there's a lot of really entitled kids (aka, brats) online that trod all over everyone else, expect every space to be child friendly, and ultimately get annoyed when certain spaces are kept for adults only.

And those are the kind of kids that I want nothing to do with. Especially when they reach an age where they should 100% know better and where multiple people are trying to correct them, but they're just ignoring em to continue being disrespectful.

Be respectful, not a brat.
