Okay SO. Most important thing, his magic. obvs. He can shapeshift, he's a neoteric and was gonna be raised without annyyy knowledge of magic but! He is also.....a....tranana 🏳️‍⚧️ (self insert part). So little eight yr old girl him was wishing really really hard to be a boy and it happened 🙀. but that was at the beginning of the 20th century so it'd be a bit awkward to explain allat to family and neighbours n stuff so the most logical thing to do was to run away and start a new life. obvs. So that happened and he did a few things and joined maybe an uprising or two before the Sanctuary started getting on his ass abt using magic while fighting in mortal stuff. hate when that happens!! 😾😾 so he kind of works w them kind of not bc they like having this kind of unique guy that they can boast abt or something.

he fights by changing into something with sharp teeth and/or claws (or giving himself those if he's feeling adventurous that day) and just going at em (he CANNOT fight without his magic he's bad at prioritising like that). He gets tired and achey and all if he does too much, yk the drill. he eats A LOT to keep up his energy for it. sometimes he photosynthesizes.

stick with me here. i LOVE darquesse n tanith and billy ray so when they were all working together in sanguine's safehouse i had to get my guy in there somehow. So!

when darquesse got control in the bride's of the blood tears temple she knew she had remnant Tanith to come back to so she decided to get her favourite apostle a gift! thenn there was a whole thing where she tortured my guy Bug and, very meticulously, stabbed his brain so he was a little bit stupider than a dog (idk if that's fucking possible i just thought it was cool alr darquesse is smart she can do that) but it was all in the name of her gal pal cus then Tanith had a barely conscious shapeshifter to use on all her misadventures! Yay!

yea soooooo that happened! and eventuallyyyyy with the Sanctuary's cool magic medicine they got the dagger out of him when all those shenanigans were over and kind of put some of his brain back together (if they can do it for scapegrace they can do it for my little guy) but he was still a smidge traumatized and brain damaged and can't look at any darquesse imagery or at Valkyrie cain without being on the verge of pissing himself but oh well. life happens yk. that's when his twink death starts and he starts spending every evening in scapey's pub and distancing himself from everyone he knows and loves.

i was here a couple years back, but i dread to even think of what my account looked like, so i rather started anew.

this blog is... a mess. there is no theme, nor am i an archivist of the level my high and mighty name suggests. nor am i really an enthusiast either. it is all a lie. i like languages, plants, fungi, insects, gastropods, variety of mammals, birds, literature, video games, music, video game music?! watching pretty people.. to an extent. i might throw in something that has more to do with me rather than my interests, but we can worry about that later.

I kept debating how to end this short little mini comic. In the original script, they were gonna hold hands (scandalous, I know lmfao), but I didn't think it hit quite right in comic format when I tried to make it longer. Hence why it ends... like that.

Anyways I wrote like a ton of comic scripts for COTL comics that just didn't hit right / I couldn't commit to making and then when driving home from work last week in the pitch darkness I thought about how nice it is to see like actual stars. And I feel like with the cult grounds being kind of among a lot of trees and all that it might take a short hike to get a really, really, really good view of the night sky and stuff. Thus. This.

It's arguably not my best work (I'm out of practice drawing good night skies and all that) but I'm happy with it. Enjoy this thing I made

The thing about the enlightenment stage is that no one really tells you just how sensitive everything is, when you actually begin to feel something after a lifetime of not being able to sense anything apart from visual and audio cues. These changes are scary for a newer puppet, when they can't understand what's happening.

Okay but it's super interesting how

Din = Power = Ganondorf

Naryu = Wisdom = Zelda

Farore = Courage = Link.

Because Din, in the hylian creation myth, created the physical world. Naryu then created the laws - gravity, time, etc. And Farore finally created life - plants and people.

Din created the body, naryu the mind, Farore the soul.

And the triforce and its wielders so perfectly reflect that.

Ganon is physical power, he is big and intimidating and he breaks things. He is cunning and determined, but that's not what he focuses on. He is might makes right.

Zelda is wisdom and cleverness. She is stall tactics and information and team work. She is a powerful mage with a spine of steel, but that's not how she'll win. She is the pen being mightier than the sword.

Link is courage and persistence. He is the wild card sneaking behind enemy ranks, always moving, plunging into terrifying situations head first. He's a phenomenal fighter with a keen wit, but that's not what will get him through his challenges. He is bravery not being the absence of fear but the triumph over it.

They sit in perfect parallels to each other.

And ganon is reborn through his body - his resurrection is immortality. No matter how low he is cast, as long as he has a body he can claw his way back. He can cling to his power, build it ever higher.

Zelda is reborn through the magic of her bloodline. It's the accumulated knowledge handed down for generations, the unique power she must master, the skills she must develop to survive and get her kingdom out the other side intact. Even her name, the knowledge of herself, is handed down from all the way from the very first. Her ancestors knowledge of her future presence, her stability, is what gives her the edge.

Link is reborn in spirit. He is not bound by flesh or blood. Just like his wanderlust soul he can reappear in any time or place. His variation, his unpredictability, is exactly how he fights. It's what makes him so hard to pin down.

Ganons need to build strength means he can't chase after link. Links impulsiveness means zelda can outwit him. Zeldas stationary predictability means she's an easy target for ganon.

But the other direction?

Fire melts ice, ice redirects lightning, lightning burns fire.

And that's the very essence of the triforce.
