the bit in the latest rings of power between eärien and elendil is actually breaking my heart

eärien showing a vulnerable side of herself to her father and to the audience???? the hug????? elendils smile when he finally hugs his daughter after not only months of not seeing her but also months (?) of animosity between them, then the immediate shift when she accuses him of being prideful??? elendil reinforcing the belief that pharazon has instilled in eärien that her own father hates her and then giving her no reassurance whatsoever????? eäriens face when she realises that pharazon was right??? eärien knowing that her fathers love and respect for míriel was stronger than any respect for her????

are they trying to kill me?????

Rings of Power is a vibe tbh. Entirely accurate? Ofc not. Kinda hard when you’re covering stuff spread over 2000 years min. But it’s still great and a super fun way to bring my family into Pre-Lotr stuff.

S1 took a while to grow on me but S2 was amazing. Loved it.

#this is a RoP positive page #mostly. ofc there are problems but I don’t talk about them much online #don’t generally feel the need to add to that 😂#arondir s2 was brilliant 😂#also please let Elendil and Isildur meet again #mirdania… I don’t even know what to say to you #elendil x Miriel wasn’t the ship I was expecting #but it grew on me a lot #ok the one thing I’ll say #the whole Gandalf plot wasn’t for me #it just seemed waaaaay too drawn out #also I kinda wish they had more of Celebrimbor’s strengths shown #in the making of the three rings #but that’s just nitpicking I’m not too fussed #the rings of power #rings of power #tolkien

so i've been watching the Rings of Power bc i am a huge lotr nerd and at the scene when Elendil lights a mourning candle for Isildur in the shrine i was thinking "hmmm but Isildur isn't dead though... maybe the candle will go out?? symbolising Isildur actually being alive??" because i could SMELL the symbolism coming for a mile away. and then i went "😬 ah.....i see.....!!"
