BUNGOU STRAY DOGS - you unexpectedly hug your rival
ft.: Dazai, Chuuya, Akutagawa, Fyodor, Nikolai
summary: when you find out they're alive after a deadly mission, you can't help but hug them.
Tumblr media
Dazai
Dazai looked at you with a surprise look as you buried your face into his chest. He was too stunned to move.
He was expecting anything but his rival to hug him. You and Dazai weren't really enemies, but you didn't like each other either. So why are you hugging him?
He didn't know what to do with his hands, but after a while, he awkwardly put his right hand on your back.
"There, there," he pated you.
You finally pulled away. Your face was red. You were expecting him to make some snarky comment, but he was quiet. Only a small smirk was dancing on his lips.
"It never happened," you grunted as you walked away. Little did you know, Dazai was quietly observing you with a blush on his cheeks.
Chuuya
"What the-"
Chuuya's first thought was that you wanted to kill him. Why would you run to him otherwise? Imagine his confused look when you wrapped your arms around his body.
At first, he wanted to shake you off, but the longer he was looking at you, the more his eyes softened. He chuckled.
"Well, someone truly missed me," he smirked.
"Shut up," you snorted, and lightly punched him into his arm. "I will still kill you one day."
Akutagawa
When you ran into his embrace, his first thought was to knock you down. However, his eyes widened when you hugged him.
He was just awkwardly standing there, rethinking all his life choices. He wanted to push you away, but he just couldn't.
He was glad you couldn't see his red face. He hated physical touch, yet this was something new to him. This was... nice. Akutagawa didn't hug you back, but he didn't push you away either. He just... stood there.
When you pulled away, he looked away, coughing, trying to hide his blushing face.
"Don't do it again."
Fyodor
When you saw Fyodor walking out of the building well and alive, your heart skipped a beat.
He was your boss, and you hated him. You even swore that you would kill him. So what is happening? Why do you feel this weird tingling in your stomach?
Fyodor noticed you, but before he could say anything, you ran into his arms, almost knocking him over. You wrapped your arms around his waist, resting your head on his chest.
He had a shocked expression on his face. He didn't move as he stared down at you in disbelief. Fyodor expected you to attack him, but you are... hugging him? He was so lost.
When you pulled away, he still didn't say a word. You felt embarrassed, but his confused face made you smile.
Nikolai
"My dear Y/n! So nice to see you again!"
Your eyes widened as you looked at the clown. You couldn't believe it. He was supposed to be dead.
He came closer to you, holding a knife and smiling like a maniac. He wanted to say something, but you suddenly fell into his embrace, your arms holding his body.
He was stunned. For the first time in his life, he had no silly comments. He was at loss for words. Nikolai dropped the knife he was supposed to stab you with. Instead, he hugged you back.
"My, my! Would you look at that! I had no idea you liked me that much!" he smirked while caressing your hair.
You wanted to pull away, but he kept holding you. He didn't know why, but it was... pleasant.
No, no, no, no! Now I do have to kill her!
Nikolai's head was overwhelmed with thoughts.

'•.¸♡Switching clothes.♡¸.•'
I got this idea by watching Jarvis Johnson do a review of high school musical two.
Basically how would they react to their s/o wearing their clothes after they have a quicky round a public area, e.g. if you have a quicky in the bathroom at work and come out wearing each others clothes. It's hard to explain.
Gn!reader
Fluff
Masterlist
Enjoy! Feat. Kunikida, Dazai, Ranpo, Mori, Akutagawa, Ango, Fyodor, Nikolai.
Tumblr media
Doppo Kunikida:
He would think that having sex at work is highly inappropriate and would never do it, but, if you do some how exchange clothing he will absolutely love it.
It shows that he's a part of you and you are a part of him in a way.
He isn't the possessive kind and wouldn't see wearing each others clothes as a way to show that you belong to each other but are a part of each other or being in a relationship.
He wouldn't wear your whole outfit but if you "accidentally" wear his shirt he wouldn't mind.
Obviously the item of clothing has to atleast resemble things he wears.
Osamu Dazai:
Man, he fucking love's when you wear each others clothes.
He would pick up something of yours pitting it on and when you ask him to give it back he'll just make up an excuse and you have to wear his clothes.
He is more on the possessive type and probably does it for others to know that he's with you but he also does it because he thinks you look cute in his clothes.
He's also a little thief of your stuff and your wardrobes would mix together until no one knew who owns what.
Ranpo Edogawa:
He thinks you look cute with his hat or coat thing but he isn't necessarily one to give you his whole outfit.
He also wouldn't want to randomly wear something different in the middle of the day.
Ogai Mori:
Yet another way to show off how you are his and another way to scare anyone away from you.
He wants you all to himself and for everyone to know that so what better way than to randomly leave and come back wearing each other's clothes? People will know you boned and if they don't then they definitely know not to hit on you if they want to keep all their limbs.
He also thinks you look hot in his clothes.
Ryūnosuke Akutagawa:
He doesn't fuck at work... usually.
There are times when the two of you just cannot wait and end up doing it somewhere away from the others or while away on a mission.
During those moments you could try and swipe his clothes away and hope he doesn't notice but he does, maybe he pretends he doesn't from time to time to see you walking around with his jabot tie or his shirt.
He wouldn't let you have his coat, his coat is a way he can protect you both.
Ango Sakaguchi:
He is way too busy to do such things but if you do, he wouldn't realize you switched his clothes out for yours, he is too sleep-deprived to pay attention to his clothes.
Once he comes to the realisation (or someone points it out to him) he will quickly as you to change back into his own clothes.
He doesn't see any meaning behind wearing each others clothes, he just wants to wear his own clothes and get back to work (and also sleep).
Fyodor Dostoevsky:
He doesn't see people often so changing clothes would only mean you seeing people while wearing Fyodor's clothes.
He would only agree on wearing your clothes if they were warmer than his.
It wouldn't bother him if people assumed you two just slept together while at work or that you were his and he was yours and no one could take you away from him, he would enjoy those thoughts roaming other people's minds actually.
He isn't one to fuck at work though so good luck getting killed after stealing his ushanka or Cape.
God forbid you do a poor impression with the worst Russian accent in the world of Fyodor while wearing his clothes, he will literally kill you, no second thoughts.
Nikolai Gogol:
He would fucking love it when you switched clothes.
He finds it hilarious but he loves it. You will get laughed at by him (and possibly others) when wearing his clothes because of how silly they are, especially the silly little hat, he is so silly.
He will probably keep his cape thing because it is very important to have on hand if anything happens.
Over all fucking loves it when you wear his clothes and also loves fucking at work.

Bsd except Francis adopted Atsushi. It was originally for Fyodor's plans and his own to find the book.
But as time went on Francis grew to care for Atsushi as his son.
The day he fled with Atsushi and disbanded the Guild was the day Francis saw what Shibusawa was doing to Atsushi.
Atsushi spent the next years growing up in a modest cottage on the outskirts of Yokohama. It was sometimes lonely but his parents were always around and Atsushi loved them dearly.
Zelda was very protective over Atsushi. He was her sweet boy, her light in the darkness. She taught him how to play piano, how to map out stars.
Her darling daughter was everything to her and so is her dear son.
Francis adored him, he taught him how to shoot and self defence. He encouraged Atsushi's love of reading and always bought him a treat whenever they went out.
Both of them were concerned about Atsushi getting a job at the Agency. Especially after hearing how he met Dazai.
Money wasn't an issue of course but both agreed Atsushi couldn't stay inside with them forever. And he really wanted to join the Agency.
Learning about the Presidents ability definitely helped. Prior to that Atsushi spent full moons in a large old barn with his father nearby.
Things went okay for a while, Atsushi was happy and visted home often. Telling his parents about his friends and his adventures.
And while, they were concerned at times they were happy for him. That was until news Atsushi had a bounty came out and it was set by the Guild.
Now Atsushi knew about the Guild. Francis had told his son everything after they left. Even the original reason for his adoption, feeling nothing but guilt and remorse.
To his suprise Atsushi just hugged him and said he was glad because now he knew for sure his dad really cared about him. He hugged him back "I do, I always will."
So news his old organisation was trying to kidnapp his son angered Francis immensely. And hell hath no fury like Zelda Fitzgerald, Francis she was going to kill Fyodor herself.
What a woman.
Atsushi was terrified and his parents reassured him no one was going to dare take him from them.
Francis decides to meet with Fukuzawa, knowing the Agency are investigating this and wanting to help any way he can.
"Apologies, but given this concerns one of our members I'd prefer if everyone was present. Is that alright with you?" Asked Fukuzawa and Francis nodded, taking a seat.
"Of course, it's good to know my son has made such good friends."
"Wait this is about your son?" Asked Dazai making Kunikida sigh loudly. "Dazai, did you not listen to me earlier?!" Dazai grinned widely "nope."
Before Kunikida strangle him, Francis snorted and both turned their attention to him. "So you're Dazai, that definitely explains a lot. And you must be Kunikida."
He went and pointed out each member, correctly identifying them from his sons descriptions. And well, he'd met Kyouka a few times because Atsushi bought her over for dinner.
She waved at him and he waved back.
"And I leave the best for last, my dear boy Atsushi." Atsushi ducked his head "daaaaddd not infront of my friends." But they both knew he didn't mean it.
"Ohhh do you're Atsushi's father" Said Dazai as Kunikida facepalmed. "That I am and proud to be" Said Fitzgerald before becoming serious. "The organisation known as the Guild was one I lead for a number of years."
He told his story, how he went in search of a guide only to find a child. One that wormed his way into his heart and how he'd fled with him.
"I dont know Fyodor's plans, but whoevers running the Guild now is definitely working with him. His organisation is the Rats in the House of Dead."
Kunikida was writing this all down. "Does anyone in your previous organisation keep in contact with you?"
"There's Alcott, Poe as well." At that Ranpo looked up, curious. "That wouldn't happen to be acclaimed author, Edgar Allan Poe would it?"
Francis nodded, suprised he figured it out. "Friend of yours?" Ranpo smirked "something like that."
The meeting soon came to a close, everyone promising to keep Atsushi safe and Francis hugged him goodbye. "He's in good hands" Said Fukuzawa when it was just them.
Francis nodded "I know, I just..." He watches Atsushi smile and laugh with his friends. "I lost one child, I can't bare to lose another."
"And you won't" Said Fukuzawa, something about that made Francis believe him. "If you find the bastard know my wife has dibs on clubbing him in the head."
Fukuzawa chuckled "I'll remember that."
Elsewhere Atsushi shows his friends a picture of him and his parents.
"... So Atsushi are you in need of another father?" Asked Dazai with a smirk. Atsushi beat Kunikida to the punch and shook his mentor fiercely.
"Dazai if you ever ask my mum to commit double suicide with you. I will burn your signed copy of the complete guide to suicide."
"Ah! Not my darling, alright alright I won't."

Mushitaro+Yokomizo's parallels with other character pairings
I noticed a surprising amount of parallels between Mushitaro and his dead friend Yokomizo with the other characters in BSD (fyolai, dazai, ranpoe, sskk). There's even potential foreshadowing for the future of certain characters. Idk if anyone's done this before but I wanted to write something about it since we're meeting them in the anime soon. Just hear me out for a bit, and spoilers for the manga up to current events!
So Yokomizo is a mystery writer and his goal is to create the "Ultimate Mystery" greater than anything else in the genre. He achieved this by having his friend Mushitaro secretly kill him, turning his own death into a real life mystery. Basically, his death at his friend's hands brought him fulfillment.
This is a common theme in BSD characters: Death as an expression of love or death with the person you love bringing fulfillment. Yokomizo turned to Mushitaro to be the "key" to his death because Mushitaro is the only one he trusts. Mushitaro agreed to this plan because he cares about Yokomizo. He wants to "fulfill his friend's final wish" even if it hurts him in the process. This murder represented how much they loved each other. Chapter 56 shows Yokomizo telling Mushitaro "you truly are the only--" while Mushitaro cries:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
To me this parallels Fyodor and Nikolai's storyline later on. Chapter 78 is where we find out that Nikolai wants to kill Fyodor because Fyodor is "the only one who gets him" (which sounds a lot like what Yokomizo's last words to Mushitaro were). Since Nikolai's goal is to go against his emotions, that means his actual desire is to keep Fyodor with him. Nikolai's basically saying "You're the one I have to kill because you're the one I love the most." Just like Mushitaro, it's death as an expression of love.
I believe the parallel is intentional since it's through Mushitaro that we first meet Nikolai in chapter 57. Isn't it fitting that the characters with very similar arcs serve as introductions to each other?
Tumblr media
This could be more than just a cool parallel. It potentially foreshadows Nikolai's future if he does manage to kill Fyodor (or if he's fooled into thinking Fyodor is dead). We see what happens to Mushitaro after Yokomizo is dead. In chapter 69, he writes to Yokomizo as if he were still alive and cries while doing it. Then he hallucinates Yokomizo giving him advice in his time of need:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In the same chapter he says "I can't drum up much interest in the outside world any longer." While Yokomizo found fulfillment in dying, Mushitaro was left alive and suffering. Maybe this is what awaits Nikolai if he achieves his goal? I've seen people meme on this before, the whole Nikolai-kills-Fyodor-and-instantly-regrets-it but given this parallel, it's actually a possible direction for his character. But this is just a guess/meta/prediction so take it with a grain of salt.
On a lighter note, there's Ranpo and Poe. They also have a dynamic where they're the only ones who get each other, and that's the reason Poe wanted to kill Ranpo initially. The difference is they realized immediately that the other's presence fulfills them more than their death would. (good for Ranpoe for being the most stable pairing in BSD). From chapters 32 and 49:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The next parallel is Dazai and his constant desire for a double suicide. It's not as clear a parallel since there isn't any love here (he begs literal strangers for it). But he does have the same concept of death bringing fulfillment, even if the rest of the BSD cast is (rightfully) horrified/confused by it. Interestingly, he actually does commit suicide in the Beast universe... in the presence of Atsushi and Akutagawa. So like Yokomizo, he still wanted his death to be witnessed by meaningful company.
So is that all? I mean, the main duo of the series is Shin Soukoku but they don't seem to have any parallels with Mushitaro and Yokomizo. They try to kill each other yeah but they hate each other. This is supposed to be about death as an expression of love, or death by someone you love bringing fulfillment. What parallels could they possibly have with them?
Oh wait whats this--
Tumblr media
oh. oh.
So Yokomizo had a terminal illness... with one year to live... and he used his friend as a last resort to finding fulfillment...
That sounds familiar...
Tumblr media
Yeah... 🥲
Akutagawa desperately wants acknowledgement from Dazai before he dies. He thinks the only way he can achieve that is through his rivalry with Atsushi. Just like Yokomizo needed Mushitaro, Akutagawa needs Atsushi for his fulfillment. The fact that it can only be Atsushi PLUS the fact that Atsushi hallucinates Akutagawa telling him what to do in the recent chapter 105, similar to how Mushitaro hallucinated Yokomizo giving him advice in chapter 69? It shows they do find meaning in the other (even if it's not 'love').
Last bit of angst before this ends: if Yokomizo's illness truly is foreshadowing for Akutagawa's illness, then idk if I like that because it kinda foreshadows that Aku's ultimate fate really is to die even if he somehow manages to come back from being a vampire.
And that's fun. Everyone loves the thought of their favorite character dying :DD

A little rant about episode 11
Just finished watching episode 11, and to be honest I am so, so disappointed. I'm not one to complain openly about something, but right now I feel like it's time to.
Spoilers below, also tw: personal opinion, if you can't take that, please do not read this.
Also I'd like to state that I like bsd. I love bsd, I wouldn't have a blog and a tiktok account dedicated to the series if I didn't - this isn't to hate on the series nor on Asagiri, just my two cents regarding the plot.
I have voiced my concerns to friends and mainly on discord how the current direction of the manga and the plot worries me, and I am beyond stunned that my biggest fear actually came true.
All the 'Fyodor is my comfort character' personal stuff aside, I feel like since the prison break arc started, the quality of the writing and the plot hit an all time low.
From my perspective, we got this huge buildup about Fyodor being this absolutely genius of a character. He is smart, he accounts for every possibility and there is no detail that he could possibly miss.
On the other hand, we have Dazai, who is, well, just as smart and perceptive as Fyodor.
So, we have two very smart characters up against each other, which I get why is challenging from a writing perspective, however (especially) since the intrudction of Time Cat Lady, I feel like the writing went from a carefully and logically built up plot to throwing in deus ex machinas and a looot of explanations afterwards to conveniently give the upper hand to Dazai.
I have no problem with Fyodor dying and Dazai emerging as winner (actually I kind of do because I would've loved to see the Agency or Atsushi or Ranpo take him down, but what else could have possibly happened anyways? Dazai is a fan favourite, we don't kill the money machine), however I have a bone to pick with the execution.
I think I would've loved to see a more carefully constructed plot where I can actually root for characters and actually worry for them. Asagiri pulled way too many 'oh they look dead but oh wait actually this and that happened which the reader wasn't aware of so they're not dead' shenanigas to the point where, in my opinion, as readers we simply just couldn't take any major character 'death' seriously - they'll somehow be resurrected anyways or it's gonna eventually be revealed that they weren't even dead to begin with.
And this was the case with Dazai and Chuuya here as well. To me this feels more like trying to put out a fire because of being cornered and having created characters so smart that they prove to be too difficult to write (at least in a pace fast enough for monthly chapter releases?) than actually putting effort into the plot.
All the 'well actually Chuuya wasn't even a vampire' bullshit to me was just way too fucking convenient. I'm happy that Chuuya is alive and well, but this too just served as a convenient plot point to give Dazai the upper hand while dumbing Fyodor significantly down.
I'm sorry but I didn't interpret Fyodor's character so careless (especially for someone who's very sensitive about his physical health) as to not take the antidote as soon as he got out. I didn't get to know Fyodor who would just fall for that trick Dazai pulled.
I really feel like we missed out a LOT on Fyodor with no backstory or whatsoever provided. His character stayed shallow and empty, and I'm actually really mad at Asagiri about this because he was supposed to be this very dangerous and complex villain but I feel like what we were teased with was just not delivered.
I really hope we get a more refined manga ending or that this will be better executed in the upcoming chapters.
Once again, I'm not mad about Fyodor dying, I'm rather disappointed by the way it was delivered. It feels rushed, it feels empty and it didn't live up to my expectations at all.

Sigma with an ADA!Male!Reader
✮⋆˙
Warnings: mentions of murder, angst. Spoiler warnings for bsd season 5 and spoilers for bsd chapter 108!
Summary: How would your DOA boyfriend react/act if you were in the ADA?
Note: I’ve never written for sigma yet, this is my first time writing for him so bear with me XD (TW: brief talking about sigmas death)
Tumblr media
When Sigma first found out you were in the armed detective agency, he didn’t freak out like you’d think he would.
Well he did freak out, but not in the way you’d think. Sigma had mixed emotions about it. Why would you want to be his boyfriend if his organization tried to frame and kill off your organization?
You knew Sigma wasn’t really like the rest of the Decay of Angels. You also heard him say that he wanted to be in the armed detective agency.
-
•You and Sigma try to keep your relationship a secret.
•You both found it a bit easier if people knew you guys weren’t in a relationship so that the armed detective agency wouldn’t freak out.
•You would come to the casino to see Sigma and meet each other in his office.
•you would usually come in when people would leave.
•You and Sigma also keep your relationship a secret beautiful if The hunting dogs found out you were dating or just found out you and the casino manager aka one of the decay of angels members, something definitely would’ve happened.
- scenario -
You had been brought to the prison along with Dazai and met Sigma there. Apparently Dazai and Fyodor were taking injections from Nikolai that would last an 1 hour before they would die and the last one out would be able to be released from the prison.
You decided to not take it and just watch with Nikolai and Sigma and “to just watch the show go on”. Besides what was that psychopathic clown on anyway? You weren’t even sure what he even put in those injections.
“Are you sure you don’t want to take it, Mr. Y/N?” Nikolai said practically shoving the suitcase with the injection in your face.
“No…thanks” you said.
“Alrighty then! Suit yourself..” Nikolai said joyfully before putting the case back in his cape.
Sigma was next to you while you watched it all begin. You squeezed his hand nervously while he squeezed back.
You were mostly worried about Dazai. Your Coworker and friend might die and there was basically nothing you could do about it.
“Assistant! bring me the thing!” Nikolai pointed at Sigma beside you. “Im not your assistant!” He yelled but let go of your hand to bring out the large cart. “In honor of your pathetic doom and your death I decided to do a little something for you two.” Sigma then came out with a cart. It had tools on it. “Here we have some powerful tools that can be used throughout your escape. First up we have a radio that was from one of the guards. You can use this to tell if the guards are present in the area. Next we have a security card that will access to to the ocean heliport with the card. Third..Coin bombs”.
You’ve heard of the bombs before. Sigma had told you about them.
“And fourth..The satellite phone! It has radio reception to the first floor. If you make it you can request help from anyone worldwide!”. Nikolai said. Sigma nervously looked at me and at Nikolai then looked at Fyodor and Dazai unsure of what he should do.
“It seems the escape has already begun.” Fyodor said.
“You choose first.” Dazai said.
“Thanks, that is rather decent of you..” Fyodor said.
You and Sigma wondered what they would pick. Fyodor went up to the tray of tools and pointed at the security card.
“Excellent choice!” Exclaimed Nikolai.
Now its was Dazai’s turn. You clenched your fists in anticipation.
“Lets see,,I think I like this one the best.”
Dazai was pointing at Sigma…
No..You didn’t know why you were so filled with anger and anxiety. You wondered why Dazai accepted the deal with Nikolai. You dont even know why he took the injection in the first place.
“M-Me..?!You want me..?” Sigma said.
“Your marvelous. I like you.” Said Nikolai with a slight laugh.
You and Sigma looked at each other with worried looks. “Its okay Sigma, Me and Nikolai will be watching through the cameras.” You said trying to stay calm but deep inside you weren’t. You were worried about Dazai being killed but now you had to worry about sigma too?
“So it begins!” Nikolai exclaimed.
Sigma and Dazai left but Fyodor was still there. “What are you wait for Dos-kun? You can swap your tool with something else.” Nikolai asked Fyodor spinning his cane
“I have another card to play.” Fyodor said.
You looked at Fyodor in confusion.
Nikolai stopped spinning his cane. “I see im not the only one with tricks up their sleeves.” Nikolai said.
You, Fyodor, and Nikolai waited there in which seemed like forever.
Then a couple guards came in and pointed their guns at you both.
“Holy shit! Well it looks like its time for me to bounce!” Nikolai said before escaping the scene through his cape.
Two of the guards took you back to your prison cell while the others took care of Fyodor.
You stood in your prison cell pacing around your small cramped room. All you could do was think about what was going on with Sigma and Dazai. And the rest of the Armed Detective Agency.
Suddenly you felt something pull you down like last time. You fell down in what seemed like the security camera room.
“Why hello Mr.Y/N, It seems we meet again.” Nikolai said.
How many times does he have to do this to you?!
“What do you need from me now Gogol?” You said with an irritated tone.
“I thought it was pretty unfair that those guards put you back in your cell so I decided it would be fair to let you see what has been going on.” Nikolai said.
“Besides you seemed pretty worried about Sigma back there.” The jester said.
“Um..Thanks I guess?” You said.
“Anyways..Just make sure that the guards don’t try to take you or kill you again. Your from the Armed Detective Agency you know..” Nikolai said before escaping through his cape again.
You sighed and got up to check the cameras. You saw Sigma on the camera but he wasn’t with Dazai. Where did Dazai go?
You tried to see if you could speak to him through the security cameras but unfortunately it didn’t have a speaker.
A couple minutes later you checked the camera again. It seemed like Sigma was on the floor beneath you. But Fyodor was there with him.
You wanted to run as fast as you could down there but you heard something they were talking about.
Your mind over flowed with thoughts and questions. Where was Dazai? Is Sigma okay? Why is he with Fyodor?
Your thoughts were trailed off by Fyodors scream. Why was he screaming.
Then it hit you.
Fyodor wasn’t in any pain or suffering.
Fyodor was gonna kill Sigma instead.
You ran out of the room. You wanted to cry.
Sob even.
You didn’t care anymore. You didn’t care that Sigma was apart of the Decay Of Angels.
You ran as fast as you could and took the stairs instead. Tears ran down your face not knowing what was going to happen to Sigma.
You practically jumped off of the last step of the stair case and ran to the second security system.
You ripped open the door to find no one but Sigma.
Lying lifeless on the cold floor.
“SIGMA!” You screamed running up to him.
Sigma had always told you that you were like his home.
You thought the same thing with him.
But now your home was dead.
Tumblr media
Almost cried while making this lol.

hi! fellow fyozai enjoyer, I saw your post about fyozai and how you disliked the finale, and I have thoughts about how I actually loved the finale for fyozai (I mean this /lh, it’s fully my opinion)
the basis of it is what Dazai tells Fyodor, and a theory I saw around chapter 101-ish of the manga.
Dazai tells Fyodor: “you don’t trust anything you can’t manipulate”
and the theory I saw had it’s basis centered around the fact that Chuuya was a wildcard for both Dazai and Fyodor. now, chapter 101, the fandom’s assumptions were a) Chuuya is actually a vampire, and b) Dazai just tried to kill Chuuya via drowning
the theory basically said, SKK have a strong bond right? an extremely popular theory around that time was that Dazai was trying to drag Chuuya out of the vampirism via his speech, possibly coded, and the water and drowning. so the theory said that what if Dazai was trying to use their bond, and Chuuya’s own willpower, to drag Chuuya out of vampirism and have him be an element of surprise against Fyodor - e.g. Chuuya is pulled out, recognizes Dazai’s plan, and plays along to eventually betray Fyodor, being the closest to him physically, and because Fyodor is already convinced of his control of Chuuya.
essentially, Dazai relies on his bond with Chuuya, his ally and human nature, while Fyodor is so focused on control that he is caught off guard because of Chuuya’s willpower
which is what happens in canon, sort of - Dazai relies on his allies and human nature, while Fyodor is so certain of his plan (he says it himself- his plan is perfect) that he doesn’t question Chuuya’s vampirism. he is so convinced that the vampirism is absolute that why would he need to check?
and then Dazai wins. and he tells Fyodor, “you don’t trust anything you can’t manipulate”
Dazai doesn’t either, or he didn’t, and here’s where I love the ending so much and what it means for fyozai - neither of them trust what they can’t manipulate. but Dazai did, has been doing since he joined the Agency, and that’s how he won - he grew out of this belief that Fyodor still currently has, also aligning with their fundamental differences in one belief, the value of human life + experiences
anyway. that’s my opinion on why I actually love the ending sm and don’t understand why so many people hate it. “how did Fyodor not notice Chuuya put on a Halloween costume” that’s the POINT - it highlights fyozai’s fundamental difference in belief, Dazai’s growth, how Dazai has pushed past that blockage that Fyodor still has and which is why he lost, ALSO highlighting how they are the same person expressed differently in one root belief. which makes them even CRUNCHIER in my opinion
ty for reading, you’re so correct that not enough people enjoy fyozai 😔✌️(and if any of this came off harsh please know I don’t mean it to be 😭)
Hi, fellow fyozai enjoyer! Thank you for sharing your perspective on the finale! I love hearing other people's opinions, so I appreciate you throwing your two cents in. And no worries, none of that came off harsh. 😆 I'm about to rant here, so I hope I don't come off as harsh!
I think you're spot on in what Asagiri/the anime writers were going for. However, there are several fundamental problems I have with it, from a character perspective and from a storytelling perspective. My issues with the finale really don't have anything to do with fyozai; my issues are with the writing, especially the writing of Fyodor's character. Because the thing is, it makes sense in theory, but it doesn't work the way they did it.
In theory, it makes perfect sense that Dazai "won" because he trusts his allies and Fyodor does not. It's even set up in these scenes:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In the first, Dazai and Fyodor are (quite hilariously) telling each other how they manipulate others. Dazai acts the fool, pretends to be lazy and unengaged so his "workers" have to step up and do something themselves. That's how he plays puppet master behind the scenes. Fyodor takes control of his pawns by leaving them no choice. That's how he plays puppet master behind the scenes. Dazai's method requires a lot less control and a lot more trust.
In the second, Dazai is saying that the world is chaotic and all of their "ingenious plans" don't amount to much (except when it's Dazai's "ingenious plan" to dress Chuuya up in a Halloween costume!), challenging Fyodor's idea that he can impose his own order on the world (which is exactly what Fyodor is trying to do, though he can't see that - he isn't doing God's will, he's only doing his own; the order he is trying to impose upon the world by using the Book is not God's, it is his own).
Personally, I think "Dazai wins because he has friends, Fyodor loses because he doesn't" is kind of a boring way to go with both Fyodor's character and with the conflict between him and Dazai. Considering this is BSD, where everyone and their boss gets a redemption arc of some sort, and considering this a character based (however loosely) off of Fyodor Dostoevsky, a man who wrote numerous novels exploring deeply complex philosophical and religious ideas about human nature and redemption, I had hoped that Fyodor's character would have a redemption arc of his own. I really hoped that he wouldn't end up being the one character in this series treated like a stereotypical villain. Alas, here we are...
But whatever, they set this up, and again, theoretically, it makes sense. It works for their characters, and I don't mind the idea that Fyodor loses to Dazai because of Dazai's trust in others - in theory. You are certainly right that it makes fyozai all the crunchier!
But it just doesn't work the way they did it. It doesn't work because Fyodor does not actually have any direct control over the vampires.
Unless I missed something about there being a line on the Page that says "the vampires shall obey Fukuchi Ouchi, Bram Stoker, and Fyodor Dostoevsky, and no one else", Fyodor does not control the vampires. Fukuchi does, because Fukuchi has control of Bram. Or Fukuchi is supposed to, because Fukuchi is supposed to have control of Bram. The only reason the vampires would obey Fyodor at all is because, presumably (though I don't think this is ever stated), Fukuchi ordered them to through Bram and Bram's Ability.
This means that in order for Fyodor to use any of the vampires, including Chuuya, as his pawns, he would need to have complete trust in Fukuchi. He would need to trust that Fukuchi hasn't fucked anything up, has not lost control of Bram, and that whatever Dazai was plotting with his buddies outside the prison has not caught up to Fukuchi and exposed him or taken him down. And Fyodor knows that Dazai is plotting, he knows that Dazai is in contact with the outside. He knows Ranpo is out there, and that Dazai is relying in particular on Ranpo.
And he was able to predict Ranpo's moves at least up to trying to intercept the One Order. So he also knew that Fukuchi had been/would be discovered and that the ADA were actively trying to thwart him. But he carried on his plan to use Chuuya, because he still trusted that Fukuchi had control of Bram.
In other words, he was trusting Fukuchi in exactly the same way Dazai was trusting Ranpo and the others.
It doesn't matter if Fyodor and Fukuchi are "friends," or if they're real "allies" - the point is that Fyodor did not actually have any direct control over the vampires, or over Fukuchi. Fukuchi even says in the anime that he "sent him (Fyodor) to prison" to ensure that Fyodor could not interfere with his actual plan - which was, of course, not Fyodor's actual plan. But Fyodor trusted that things were still going according to his plan, even though he couldn't actually manipulate things directly from where he was. Exactly like Dazai.
I get the whole "Fyodor thinks his plan is perfect" thing, but in this plan, Fukuchi had all of the power over the vampires, not Fyodor. Sure, you can argue Fyodor thought he had Fukuchi under his thumb (which, by the way, I find very hard to believe, because from what Fukuchi tell Fukuzawa, Fyodor knew what Fukuchi really wanted, and made a deal with him to achieve that; therefore, he knew Fukuchi had his own motives), but that doesn't matter - what matters is that he placed control of the pawns he intended to use in the hands of someone else.
That ruins Dazai's whole "you don't trust anything you can't manipulate" - because he wasn't manipulating the vampires, and he couldn't manipulate Fukuchi from prison.
And he purposefully put himself in prison as part of his "perfect plan," so he intentionally put himself in a position where he could not directly manipulate his most important pawn: Fukuchi.
So the whole "Fyodor loses because he doesn't trust others" is bunk precisely because they used the vampires as the key to Fyodor's downfall. Fyodor literally cannot use the vampires as part of his plans without trusting an ally - Fukuchi. The idea behind Fyodor's downfall is fine. The execution is what doesn't make any goddamn sense.
It also doesn't work for me because this is Fyodor we're talking about here. Are you seriously telling me I should buy that Fyodor was fooled by contacts and fake fangs? Like for real? If it were anyone else, sure. But Fyodor? I wouldn't buy Dazai or Ranpo falling for that, either. I don't care how much Fyodor believes in his own perfect plan. He still should be able to tell the difference between someone who has been turned into a vampire and someone who has not. Especially since Dazai says he and Chuuya have pulled this kind of thing before. I'm expected to believe it never occurred to Fyodor they'd do something like that? Why, because he's not a soukoku shipper?
I wish we had gotten Dazai bringing Chuuya back to his senses through their bond, because that would make a whole hell of a lot more sense than this being an elaborate act - and it would actually give credence to the idea that Fyodor's desire for complete control is his undoing.
And while we're talking about the narrative problems, let's talk about that hand injury that's so important to all of this. I already talked about this in another post, but Fyodor deciding to let the vampires pilot the helicopter because his hand injury made it impossible for him to do so doesn't make sense to me, either, because the hand is clearly shown to still be mobile:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I know there's a big difference between piloting a helicopter and pressing a button or letting someone else hold your hand, but the hand is obviously not useless. Why would Fyodor be willing to put himself at the mercy of his pawns if he can still use his hand, wounded or not? Again, when he's not actually the one controlling them?
Obviously, this isn't going to be a plot point in the manga because Fyodor has no hand injury in the manga, but this was another thing that bothered the hell out of me. They really just had Fyodor act stupid all of a sudden so he could get himself killed.
Again I hope I'm not sounding too harsh! I'm not trying to attack you at all!! But do you see why I have such a problem with the finale? I get what it was trying to do, but the way it was done just doesn't make any sense, imho. Now, if they had done something with Sigma and Fyodor, like I thought was going to be the case...
I do really appreciate your opinion on the finale, and I don't want to suggest you're wrong or anything. I'm just saying that to me, there are massive issues with it. I just think it's really bad writing.
More than that, it felt so cheap to kill Fyodor off that way. It didn't feel like a big deal, it just felt rushed and - well, cheap. Fukuchi's death has the same problem, but at least with Fukuchi they took the time to flesh out his character, give us answers to the remaining questions about his past and his motives, and give him an emotional send-off. They just blew Fyodor up and went, "Well on to the next!"
But!! With time to reflect, I think the people saying that Fyodor isn't really dead at all are probably right. There are just too many unanswered questions; it doesn't make narrative sense to actually kill him off at this point.
And we don't know how the manga is going to go yet. If the manga does follow the anime, I think it's a pretty good bet that when Sigma wakes up, the secrets he learned about Fyodor will be revealed, and then - well, I guess we'll see.
In the meantime, though, I'm going to continue to (mostly) pretend the finale didn't happen sdfghjghj
Again, thank you for sharing! 💕💖 I think you made some good points, but I hope I was able to explain why I disliked the finale so much :/

There's a Will; There's a Way (Book 4) Chapter Twenty-One
Dazai Osamu x Fem! Reader
Chuuya Nakahara x Fem! OC!
Chapter Twenty-One: Together
Summary: (Y/N) gets to have everyone alright and together.
Mouse Note: Final chapter of Book 4!
(Y/N)’s eyes opened to a plain white ceiling. She groaned and pushed herself up onto her elbows. Her body no longer ached, free of wounds, but she had no idea where she was. (Y/N) could be dead for all she knew.
            “Hey, hey. Don’t strain yourself.”
A bandaged arm supported (Y/N), and her eyes snapped up, widening.
            “Dazai!”
The man she loved smiled at her from he sat at her side. “(Y/N),” he said with a voice of pure adoration.
“You’re alright,” said (Y/N), relief and joy in her eyes.
Dazai held her hand and smiled. “So are you.”
(Y/N) leaned up, ignoring how tired her body was, and pulled him to her. She kissed with the passion their separation had caused, with all the love she had in her body for him, endless and powerful.
Dazai’s arms wrapped around her, and he tilted his head to kiss her deeper. He too had missed her, and to have (Y/N) back in his arms to love and to cherish was an incredible feeling. He threw all of those emotions into his kiss.
When they finally pulled apart, (Y/N) and Dazai were unable to stop smiling at each other.
“I thought I’d never see you again,” admitted (Y/N).
Dazai chuckled softly and cupped her cheek, smiling gently. “What? So little belief in my intelligence?”
“You were trapped with Fyodor,” said (Y/N). She swallowed at the memories of Fyodor. “I couldn’t help but worry.”
Dazai’s gaze became fierce, and he gently turned (Y/N)’s face to look into her eyes. “Fyodor is gone. I made sure of it. You’ll never have to worry about him again.”
            (Y/N)’s eyes widened. “He’s gone?”
Dazai nodded. “I made sure of it. He’ll never hurt you again.”
(Y/N) let out a breath of relief and relaxed. Fyodor was dead. He’d never try to take her for himself again. She was alright, and Dazai was back with her.
“But while I’m glad he’s gone, I’m sorry I wasn’t here to support you through everything,” said Dazai. “I saw your injuries before Yosano healed you. You fought almost until your own death.”
(Y/N) smiled ruefully. “I needed to protect the people I cared about. I couldn’t let Fukuchi hurt everyone.” At his name, her expression faltered. “Especially not after everything he’d already done.” She looked at Dazai. “He was my father. He killed my mom, just like he killed Akira’s. And now he’s dead. What type of messed up family am I a part of?”
Dazai kissed (Y/N) gently to reassure her. “You’re not Fukuchi. Blood doesn’t matter, in the end. You were the hero the world needed when you fought him. He could never have been a hero like you. You are your mother’s daughter. And if I had to guess, Akira is her mother’s daughter since she was willing to do the right thing.” He was calm as he heard the Akira Mori’s mother, Ougai Mori’s wife, had been killed by Fukuchi, since his mind put together the scenarios with ease. (That, and it meant he had ammunition against Mori if needed).
(Y/N)’s eyes widened. “Oh, god! Akira! Where is she? Is she alright? She was really hurt, there was a lot of blood, did Yosano get to her—”
“(Y/N).” Dazai calmed her with a squeeze of her hand. “Akira is alright. Yosano healed her. She’s alive.”
(Y/N)’s heart jumped for joy. Akira, her dearest friend, her sister, was alive. She was alright. (Y/N) let out a sob of joy as all the stress and exhaustion of the past few days caught up to her.
“Everyone’s going to be alright,” said Dazai, pulling her into a hug.
(Y/N) hugged him back, shoulder’s shake as relief washed over her. From the truth of her mother’s dead to Fukuchi being her father to the vampires to the people she cared about nearly dying to taking control of One Order, (Y/N) was filled a complex array of emotions. And finally in her love’s arms, she let go.
l
Akira sat up the moment her consciousness returned. “Where’s (Y/N)?!” she said, looking around herself wildly. She was nearly out of her bed and ripping the curtains from her hospital cot away when someone stepped around them, alarmed at the shouting.
“She’s alright,” assured Yosano. “She’s just resting, like you.” She gave Akira a stern look. “Get back in the bed.”
Akira scowled. “You don’t tell me what to do. I need to check on (Y/N).”
“I swear, Akira, (Y/N) is alright. Dazai’s with her now,” said Yosano, catching Akira’s arm and turning her back to the bed. “But my ability can tire people. You need to rest.”
Akira shrugged out of Yosano’s hold. “I’m fine. My gift means I heal quicker than others.” She paused and glanced at Yosano. “But…thanks. You probably saved me and (Y/N)’s lives.”
Yosano smiled. Their old friendship was broken, and whatever they had now would never be the same, but at least Akira was speaking to her. “Well, you and (Y/N) saved all of us first.”
Akira tsked and crossed her arms. “I killed the guy who murdered my mom. It was about my own revenge.”
Yosano smirked. “Sure.” She wouldn’t point out that if Akira was that selfish, her first thought wouldn’t be about if (Y/N) was alive. “I’m still glad you fought with (Y/N). We couldn’t have done this without you.” She cleared her throat. “But I’m mostly just glad you’re okay. I-I know I messed up when we were younger. I should have tried to find you after I joined the Agency. I know what Mori is like. I should have made sure you were okay. And I didn’t. So, I’m sorry, and I know it doesn’t mean much to you, but I really am happy you’re alive. You’re still…important to me.”
Akira paused, red eyes piercing into Yosano’s expression. And then, she smiled ever-so-slightly. “Thanks.” Her eyes flicked up to Yosano’s. “And I’m glad you’re alright, too. I’ve hated a lot of people in my life, but you…I don’t want you hurt, Akiko. Mori is an asshole. What he’s done doesn’t have anything to do with you.”
Yosano smiled. There was a long road to real friendship, and there would always be history, but Akira and Yosano had something again.
l
(Y/N) smiled as she watched her friends run around and laugh and drink and dance. After everything that had happened, she was glad they could have fun. They all deserved it. In fact, people were just so relieved to be alive and to have Yokohama (and the world) safe that they didn’t care if they were around Port Mafia or Agency members. Even Akira was fine with Port Mafia members in her bar (though (Y/N) suspected that was mostly because Akira wanted to see Chuuya but was too proud to say anything to his face).
(Y/N) chuckled lightly as she watched Dazai run around with Kunikida’s notebook while the blond chased him. This was what she liked her life as: fun chaos instead of deadly chaos.
            “(Y/N) (L/N). Or should I call you (Y/N) Fukuchi?”
(Y/N) crossed her arms and turned. “If you’re try to irritate me, you’ll have to try harder, Mori.”
The boss of the Port Mafia smirked. “Irritate you? Nonsense. I don’t condescend to irritate a mere Agency member.”
“And yet you approached me,” remarked (Y/N). “What do you want?”
“You possess One Order,” said Mori sharply. If (Y/N) wasn’t going to beat around the bush, he wouldn’t, either. “Your Gift allows you to use it.”
“It responds to me, yes,” said (Y/N).
Mori’s eyes narrowed. “That is a significant amount of power to wield. It threatens the very world, and left unchecked, it could cause trouble.” The curl of his lip as he spoke directed his message clearly. If you’re left alive, there could be issues.
(Y/N) just smiled. “I don’t go looking for trouble, and I want One Order to be properly locked up again.” Her smile turned to a slight smirk. “But if you want to try to ‘check’ any possible danger, remember that youre a smart man who knows when he’s out of his depth.”
Mori’s gaze was cold. “I very much doubt I’m out of my depth.”
“Believe what you’d like about me—” though (Y/N)’s ability sparked at the idea of getting to fight the infamous Mori “—but I’m not the only person you have to deal with. Setting the entire Agency aside, I don’t think you’d want to cross Dazai on his own.” She cocked her head. “And I’m not foolish enough to think you don’t know about our relationship. So I also that you’re aware of just how much damage Dazai is capable of if anything happened to me.” She smiled. “Just recently he killed Fyodor Dostoevsky for me. I don’t think you want to be on his bad side.”
“Are you threatening me?” said Mori lightly.
“Not at all. I’m just doing what you did, pointing out facts about the situation,” said (Y/N), all smiles and pleasantries.
“Facts? Yes, like how Dazai is also unwilling to risk Yokohama as a whole, and my leadership of the Port Mafia holds a delicate balance,” said Mori.
(Y/N) chuckled. “If you think Dazai doesn’t have a breaking point just because you haven’t found it, you’re more foolish than I thought.” Mori’s eyes narrowed. “But even if Dazai wouldn’t do anything to hurt Yokohama, I know one person who would burn the city for the ground if they cared enough.” (Y/N) smirked as Mori furrowed his brow, and she went straight for the jugular. “Akira isn’t exactly known for holding back.”
Mori paused at the mention of his daughter. “She is hardly a threat.”
“No? Then you haven’t seen her fight,” said (Y/N), continuing without a care for who she was speaking to. “I mean, she went berserk and nearly killed Fukuchi on her when she found out he killed her mom.”
Mori hid any reaction behind a pointed sip of wine. The truth of his wife’s death weighed heavy on him, and he longed to bring Fukuchi back just to get the chance to make him suffer for what he’d done to Nanako.
But Mori was not a vulnerable man. He refused to be, so all he said was, “If she did try anything, I have people who could fight her.”
(Y/N) smirked. She knew for a fact Chuuya wouldn’t harm Akira, but she’d leave that truth a secret. “I don’t think you do. In fact, I think Akira is the biggest threat to you.”
Mori’s eyes flashed imperceptibly. “Excuse me?”
“I’ll spell it out for you. If you were to try to ‘check’ One Order—” if you try to kill me “—you wouldn’t be able to handle Akira—” you wouldn’t be able to kill her if she came for you.
“If someone threatens the balance of protection for Yokohama, I have no mercy,” said Mori coldly.
(Y/N) hummed in acknowledgement and was silent. Mori gripped his wine glass tighter. He thought the conversation over and was glad. It had not gone the direction he intended. He wished to ensure One Order was handled properly and not left in the power of a young woman who seemed to have too much power of the world already, but it seemed she was remaining steadfast and not cowering from anyone trying to push her around.
“You know, Akira told me that Elise used to be pretty stiff and quiet,” said (Y/N) suddenly. Mori stiffened, and his red eyes went to (Y/N) as she continued with a calm smile. “Interesting that she has a personality now, right? Pretty energetic, a bit sassy, and very stubborn, so I’ve heard.” She tilted her head and looked across the room at Akira. “Funny. I bet Akira was like that when she was younger, maybe about eleven, like the age Elise shows up as.” Mori was silent, and (Y/N) faced him with a smile that felt as threatening as Dazai’s. “Actually, the same age you abandoned her.” (Y/N)’s smile turned sharp. “Quite the coincidence, isn’t it?”
Mori had a steely expression. “I don’t know what you’re implying.”
“No?” said (Y/N). “I think Akira is safer in this city than she realizes.”
Mori’s eyes narrowed. “You think you understand more than you truly do.”
“No, I think I understand perfectly.” (Y/N) smiled. “And you understand too.” She picked up a wine glass and took a sip. “Have a nice night, Mori. Try to remember our discussion.” She paused. “And be careful. If I can see what you hide, I’m sure other people do. And as you said, other people aren’t as merciful as me.”
(Y/N) walked off and left Mori alone. He wouldn’t be trying anything against her just for having One Order’s obedience. He would be risking far too much.
Mori’s eyes went to Akira and felt unable to leave as he watched his daughter smile and laugh with others. He hadn’t seen that in over a decade. Unbidden, his fist clenched his wine glass as Fukuzawa walked up to Akira and she brightened.
(Y/N) was quickly joined by Dazai as she walked away from Mori. His gaze was sharp and flicked between her and Mori. It didn’t take a genius to know that the Port Mafia boss was most certainly threatening her. She got One Order to respond to her, after all.
“Did he try anything?” said Dazai.
“He threatened me,” said (Y/N). She smiled. “But he won’t be trying anything.”
“Are you sure?” said Dazai. Mori was not one to be trusted in any way.
            “Oh, yes,” said (Y/N), smirking.
“Did you threaten him?” said Dazai incredulously.
“No, just pointed out that I know his weaknesses and that they mean he can’t try to hurt me,” said (Y/N) brightly.
“You’re cunning. I like it.” Dazai put an arm around her waist and smirked fondly.
(Y/N) chuckled. “Only you would be attracted by the idea of me basically blackmailing someone.”
“Well, if it’s you, then yes,” said Dazai. He leaned in to give her a kiss, but a blur of red nearly threw him to the side.
“(Y/N)!” chirped Akira as Dazai groaned and picked himself up. “Guess what?”
“What?” said (Y/N). “You and you-know-who talked out your issues?”
Akira scowled. “No.” She brightened again. “I got a job offer from Mr. Boss Man.”
(Y/N)’s eyes widened in surprise. “You what?”
“I’ve got an offer work at least part-time with the Agency,” said Akira. “Fukuzawa asked me a minute ago.”
“What did you say?” said (Y/N) excitedly.
“I said yes,” said Akira. “I think I want to try helping more people like you do.”
(Y/N) nearly squealed in excitement and hugged Akira. “I’m so proud of you.”
“Yeah, yeah,” said Akira, but she was just as excited to work with (Y/N), and she hugged her best friend just as tightly. “It’s just part-time, though. I can’t give up the bar, not after all I put into it.”
“Of course not,” said (Y/N). “But I can’t wait to have you with me.”
“We make a hell of a team,” said Akira, grinning.
“Have you told Yosano?” asked (Y/N).
“Akiko? No, I should,” said Akira. “But I’ll be back!” She bounded away, and (Y/N) watched in amusement.
“All three of Mori’s kids or proteges are going to be at the Agency, hm?” said Dazai. He grinned. “He’s going to hate this.”
“Probably,” said (Y/N), watching Akira tell Akiko in amusement. She glanced at Chuuya, who kept glancing from over with his people towards Akira. (Y/N) raised a hand, and There’s a Will; There’s a Way activated. She waved her hand, and a green glow subtly appeared around Chuuya and Akira. They were pulled from their places and bumped into each other.
            “Oh.” Chuuya stared at Akira.
“Oh.” Akira glanced at (Y/N), knowing full well who had pushed them together. (Y/N) smiled encouragingly.
“…You’re alright,” said Chuuya. He glanced over Akira as if searching for wounds. “I’d heard you were badly hurt in your fight against Fukuchi.”
“I was,” said Akira. Her eyes returned to Chuuya, (Y/N)’s silent encouragement in her mind. “I heard you invaded Mersault.”
“I did,” said Chuuya. “But I wanted to be fighting Fukuchi directly.
“It did feel nice to kill him,” said Akira.
“I’m sure he didn’t stand a chance,” said Chuuya, smiling.
“Oh?” Akira felt an unbidden smile appear on her face.
“You’re fierce and powerful. Anyone who fights you is bound to lose,” said Chuuya.
“High praise from Port Mafia Executive Chuuya Nakahara,” said Akira.
Chuuya winced at the drop of his job title. That was the rift between them, after all, her trauma with the Port Mafia and his lies about it.
Akira caught (Y/N)’s gaze again, and she nodded at Chuuya. Akira paused and gazed at Chuuya, someone she truly cared about in a deeper manner than she cared to admit.
“Do you want to grab a drink?” said Akira.
Chuuya blinked. “You want a drink with me?”
“I think I can put up with you for one drink.”
            An olive branch.
“You do have good taste,” said Chuuya.
“I know I do,” said Akira, a slight smirk on her lips.
            A second chance.
Dazai and (Y/N) watched the interaction from across the room. (Y/N) smiled as she watched Akira and Chuuya sit down and pour a drink together. That was step in the right direction.
“Huh. Akira and Chuuya,” said Dazai.
“You’re not allowed to tease either of them,” said (Y/N), knowing exactly what her boyfriend was thinking.
“I love you, my light, but I will absolutely be teasing them,” said Dazai. He grinned. “It’s just too good an opportunity to pass up.”
(Y/N) chuckled and rolled her eyes. She leaned into his side, and Dazai held her close. This was how it should be. Her friends around her, happy and laughing. She was with Dazai, the man she loved. They were together.

🧛/🐉
I tried to message you my thoughts on the finale, but realized a) you got those exclusive DMs (good for you, that is very wise), and b) I didn’t know if you had seen it yet. I’m glad to hear you have!!
At first, I was soooo upset because HEY THERE HAS BEEN NO ACTION FOR THE PAST 3/4 EPISODES!!! COME ON HOTD ‼️‼️ After listening to some of the audiobook, I think they kinda made the right move ONLY about not ending the season with (spoilers for tv onlies) Jace’s death. Considering the first season ended on Luke’s, I feel like it would have felt brutal/repetitive if this one ended with Jace’s.
But their pacing… my god, it needs some work. The first 4 episodes (maybe my mind is lying to me, but I remember loooving through episode 4, even if that one took my fav character from me 😔) actually felt like stuff was happening. 5 was the somewhat calm after the storm, and then I kept wanting the series to return to its bread and butter: dragons. I’m prolly forgetting good things in other episodes, but Daemon’s dream sequences reeeeally started to get on my nerves lol
Jace really grew on me in the finale tbh. Seeing all of team black’s dragon riders made me realize how hard Jace is trying to get along with them lol. Too bad I found out what happens to him in the book right after when I listened to the audiobook rip
Ohhhh my god. About that asoiaf thing… I love the idea of him having a son who was raised to hate him ahhhh that’s so cool!! And soooo like Fyodor
If he had a daughter, I think it would shatter me if a similar thing with Cersei happened to him. Like, he loved his children more than anything, but maybe Fyodor’s daughter (who’s actually his) was sent away by Fyodor — maybe for a marriage, maybe it was actual love similar to Myrcella and whatshisname — and then when he tried to retrieve her, she was murdered. Like… girldadzai will ALWAYS be famous ‼️‼️
(And then in her last moments, maybe she tells Dazai that she always knew he was her dad. 🫠🫠)
This was very wild and all over the place, but I’m glad to hear you’re doing better!!!
HOTD NONNIE MY DMS ARE CURRENTLY OPEN altho they're not gonna stay open for long bc idk why but i get a lot of spam dms WEEPS
omgg. ... hotd nonnie i totally think the opposite. like as glad as i am that we're getting more of jace, i do wish the second season had ended on his death because i would have liked to see the parallel/immediate comparison of rhaenyra's reaction to luke's death at the beginning of season 2 and then jace at the beginning of season 3 because iirc, jace's death is what really leads to "rhaenyra the cruel" and i thought it wouldve been cool to have it in direct perspective w the deaths in the season finales and the changes in her behavior in the first few episodes of each new season
yo genuinely i am not happy with what they're doing with this show like ive tried to be patient but holy fuck the entire harrenhal plotline was killing me and a lot of it felt very repetitive to me. i was so disappointed that they cut the battle of the burning mill only to have ONE major battle this season. i know that they were confirmed for a fourth season but i have no idea how they're gonna incorporate everything into two seasons now .. especialyl with this whole new plotline with alicent giving up king's landing ?? idk i have to reread the books but i feel like they fucked up the timeline with that but in short i am not happy with this season
i adore jace </3 he's one of my favorites - he would have made such a good king if given the chance
UGHHHHHHHH NOT FYODOR SENDING HER AWAY FOR A BETROTHAL no because now im weeping bc i imagine maybe they were twins - a girl and boy, and maybe the girl was hesitant to hate dazai in the way fyodor wanted her too. even kind of reaches out to him a bit but then he sends her away. while the son is kept close because he's followed directly in fyodor's footsteps </3

manifesting Fukufuku dying in each others arms -> I am losing it slowly anyway thoughts on the newest chapter?
this has been sitting in my askbox since september and im really sorry anwsering took so long, but ive been trying to articulate how the last few chapters/last episode made me feel and im still not sure, because there have been so many bizzare choices made by both asagiri and the ppl behind the anime i still cant wrap my head around it fully (this got stupid long sorry)
starting with fukuzawa, i made a post a while back talking abt how i was assuming he was going to die/why it'd make a lot of sense, and there were really two main reasons for that; 1. he hasnt had anything interesting to offer for the story for a while and 2. his ability actively stops other important characters (mainly atsushi and kyouka) from further developement. the first thing is now gone which im pretty happy with! i love fukuzawa a lot so it's nice to see him finally have a purpose in the main story and im excited to see where it will go (also fukufuku you will always be famous to me <3333333), but the issue of his ability is still very much here. ive seen ppl theorize that all men are equal is just him lying and there is no ability but i honest to god would hate that, bc it would seem like such a shallow twist. atsushi's conflict with the tiger is central to his character so if it suddenly got revealed that a huge reason why he's even capable of using his power is just placebo "believe in yourself" bullshit i think i'd tear my own hair out. so im still thinking fukuzawa may get killed at some point, esp with the position he's been put into now and how much he seems to not want it.
and as for the "chuuya was never a vampire" fiasco, i honestly have no words, it was so unbelievably bad. ik there's been a ton of posts about how "its actually good" bc fyodor's death was caused by his inability to trust, and dazai's belief in his allies is what put him at an advantage, which is nice yeah, but it doesnt change how fucking stupid of a plan that was. if their goal is to kill fyodor, why not do it in that flooded room? fyodor escapes solely bc chuuya gets him out but if he was concious the entire time why not just leave him there? why continue to pretend? im usually not a huge fan of getting angry over plot holes when the narrative and themes are whats more important, but this is just so blantantly stupid. it feels like asagiri just wanted a plot twist for a plot twist's sake. mersault in general is so poorly constructed as an arc (dazai communicating via his heartbeat,,,, give me a break) but at least you'd hope it would end in a way that makes you excuse all of that, and then it doesn't. i think this post sums up how i feel about this than i ever could
and the fact that its december and we are STILL behind the fucking anime asagiri be so for real. it's easy to see now that the constant half chapters and short releases were a deliberate choice to have the anime catch up which i dont love, but fine, whatever. but now??? what the point of half releases? these chapters have been ready for a long time, and there's no way asagiri and the editors and whoever else is involved arent aware of how frustrated the readers have been for years now. the only explanation i can think of is that maybe the manga will have a different arc conclusion and ctheyre trying to idk, make it seem like we're following the anime closely? idk this shit is so stupid
overall this past arc or two have been bad, there are some elements that make them enjoyable still, but there is no theme consistency and overreliance on cliff hangers (that ppl still somehow buy). it feels like there are no stakes to the story, and that's really bad. maybe it's why i was hoping for fukuzawa to be killed alongside fukuchi idk, it'd finally feel like something is changing
on a brief positive note i quite enjoyed fyodors death, weird catholic freak, ofc nikolai is cradling your arm like this. i was a little suprised to see fyodor killed just yet (bc he always needed to die for the story to be able to wrap up eventually), but given the jesus quote, he may as well come back in some way tbh

hello tuna its me Dazai Anon coming at u with my insanity Once More.
[possible manga spoilers] thinkin about yandere meursault girlies... dazai/fyodor/gogol/sigma all in one package. unfortunately no chuuya he seems a bit. you know. busy.
let's say darling is a security guard at meursault, specifically set in the surveillance room at overlooks dazai and fyodor's cells. its kinda boring (it's not like theyre going anywhere, right?), but they try to take it as seriously as possible- even when the "highly dangerous criminals" are speaking in wingdings or throwing eggs at each other. they try not to engage with these male manipulators but one thing compounds on another and they find themselves holding down the intercom button, catching both of their attention. oops. at first the fellas are just happy they have a new toy to play with, someone to fuck with and make squirm since they can't do much to one another. dazai spends most of his time trying to bug darling til they crack and say something while fyodor plays his mind games. until it becomes more. red flags pop up over time, dazai throwing mini tantrums when the intercom clicks off or a different guard is on duty, fyodor starting to probe about weirdly personal topics, there's this weird Look they have in their eye when darling talks, etc. it becomes tough to deal with, more so than usual. theyre actually kinda relieved when they both suddenly disappear, unaware that a certain clown has been put on their scent. (sigma becomes yan after bonding with darling about how much it sucks dealing with the other three lol)
- 🩹
hi!!! finally got the time to answer this @.@ this is such a great idea ahhhhh gotta love love love the meursault girlies can you imagine the chaos they'd bring??!?! remind me to do a proper headcanon post for this sometime :')
manga spoilers below the cut!
cw: yandere characters, implied stalking, violent threats
regardless of whether or not it was intentional on darling's part to communicate through the intercom, their fate is sealed the moment in happens. whether they mutter out a confused "what the fuck...?" (because who could watch that scene and not be left perplexed?) or even if they just remained shrouded in bewildered silence, the tell-tale buzzing would give them away, they've piqued fyodor and dazai's curiosity.
obviously, they had been expecting to be under heavy surveillence, considering who they were, but something about that moment of vulnerability, that little slip in what should have been hours of procedure drilled into darling's head, captured their attention. had a newbie been sent to watch over two of the most unpredictable prisoners here?
it doesn't help that they immediately switch off the intercom right after, further proving to the two that it was a mistake. a mistake that no guard here would make. in a place filled with stoic, intolerable idiots, darling seems to be the exception.
naturally, they become attached.
he guesses whenever it's your shift, and makes sure to loudly blabber about everything on his mind. the food sucks. he misses his old room. it's too hot. his outfit's ugly. anything to get back such a reaction from darling again. he even asks for fyodor's help, but the latter ignores him, choosing to stare straight at the camera he knows they must be looking through.
eventually, darling gives in. whether it's because they've had enough of dazai's taunting or fyodor's staring (and that creepy smile) or perhaps the two have taken to bothering the people working the other shifts and darling feels pressured to end the torment. it will happen eventually, and when it does, things only get worse.
apart from the tantrums and constant whining from dazai, fyodor's unnerving stare at everyone that isn't darling seated behind the cameras begins to concern the other guards, especially coupled with the way dazai starts murmuring ways he could kill someone. when darling's there, however, he's a lot more friendly, asking them where they'd like to go for a first date and if they'd like any presents. he's just curious, really! not like he's planning anything... and fyodor, with his weird questions about abilities and ability users and sinners—maybe darling would prefer to stick with dazai's line of questioning.
thanks to his correspondence from the outside, dazai has the help of a time stopping ability user. his first order of business? use his 10 minutes to find everything he can about darling. after that, he hunts down the other guards, and makes sure to use his time wisely by spending a good chunk of it with darling. the first time he sees them face to face, even though they're frozen in place, his heart soars. he's definitely taken advantage of this period to touch darling and hold them close. even fyodor can't have this.
but when the day comes that he finally plans to break out of the prison with darling in tow, he's horrified to find them missing. back in his cell, he sees fyodor with a mysterious smile and a proposition he can't say no to.
by the end of the day, the two are gone, and darling's in the debatably safe arms of nikolai gogol, wrapped securely in his overcoat.
with nikolai, at first, it's just genuine curiosity. who was darling to have the great dostoevsky wrapped around their little finger? he follows them around (as ordered), looks through their room and picks out some things to keep (not an order, and definitely not for dostoevsky), threatens to twist their leg off with a shockingly innocent smile if they didn't come with him (also not an order, but who's keeping count?) but if darling is clever enough to keep a bright smile on when nikolai comes to play and does as he says without much struggle, he's a pretty fun person to have around. oh, that and he wouldn't be handing them off to any of the others just yet—not until he's had his fun with his cute little friend.
even then, he'd be surprised that darling hasn't bored him yet. it'll take one defiant glare or an unexpected trick to really make him understand why everyone's losing their mind over darling. now that he thinks about it, it's totally not fair that he had to do the work of finding them only to give them over to others. time to see if fyodor is willing to share!
sigma is used to not being acknowledged before he was the manager. more than that, he's used to nikolai's crazy antics. or so he thought, until one day the clown drops in with a brush of his coat, darling in his arms.
"assistant!" he cries out, to sigma's irritation, "meet my friend here!"
despite darling's obvious discomfort, they manage a strained smile at him. the gesture touches him immensely, and it tells him all he needs to know. when he introduces himself and darling says "hi, sigma," he feels euphoric. he feels seen.
he learns that darling was tormented by fyodor and dazai, after which nikolai was sent out for them, and while a large part of him feels sympathetic, knowing better than anyone else how horrible those three could be, a smaller, but darker part of him seethes in jealousy. why did fyodor have to see darling first? why did fyodor get to have them? why not him?
didn't he deserve, at least, this?
still, sigma soon earns something the others can't yet boast of having—their trust. darling's initially wary smiles turns into rambling and them opening up about their feelings. he doesn't flaunt it much except in the offhanded remarks that tells everyone just how much he knows about darling. they believe him to be the hardworking manager, who, much like them, was here because he had no other choice. little did they know...
once dazai and fyodor finally come back to the casino, however, the little peace darling finds here will be gone :(

Hello, I saw that you’re open for some requests. May I request a one-short for Fyodor Dostoevsky, In a story where he’s dating Dazai’s little sister.
So the story is like this: “Dazai know that his little sister was dating someone, but he doesn’t know who is the person. Until the moment when he encountered Fyodor in the Alleyway, and he gets shot. When his sister visit him in the Hospital, Dazai told her everything, and of course, his sister was heartbroken. Because of that she decided to break up with Fyodor”.
In this case, the genre of the one-short is angst. I think that’s all, thank you and I hope you have a lovely day
Tumblr media

✟pairing: Fyodor Dostoevsky X Reader
✟genre: angst
✟warning: mention on suicide, not really well written.
✟one-short
✟fandom: Bungou Stray Dogs
✟a/n: thank you for requesting this. It was really fun to write an angst story and definitely a story for Fyodor! I hope you like this!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Fyodor was a very busy man. You didn’t know what he did but that didn’t bother you one bit. He was still sweet and caring and he always made time for you. Always making up for not seeing each. But now you wish you did quotation what he was doing because it would have saved you so much heartbreak now.
It all started when your brother Dazai, had gotten shot. Hearing this news it obviously made you go into a panic. You had gotten news like this many times from the hospital or the ADA saying how Dazai is in the hospital or had attempted to commit suicide again. And you still got worried every single time. Fearing that one day he won’t live from one of his bad decisions.
Rushing over to the hospital, you made your way over to the room that the receptionist had told you your brother was in. Throwing the door open, there in the room sat Dazai in one of the hospital beds, staring with wide eyes at you. Walking towards your older brother, said man sent you a wide smile. Dazai got himself ready for his sister to shower him with affection like you always do every time something like this happens. “There’s my dear little sister. I was starting to worry you wouldn’t-“ before he could finish you had fallen down, wrapping your arms around your brother’s waist and cried. The tears you had been holding in ever since you had gotten the call from Atsushi.
Dazai sat there in shock for a few seconds, feeling slightly guilty. This was the exact opposite of what he wanted to do. Upsetting the only living person who cares about him. Placing a hand on top of you, Dazai began to slowly rub your head, trying to soothe your crying. You both sat there in peaceful silence, the only thing you could hear would be your quiet sobs, muffled by the hospital sheets.
Finally, after a while, you had calmed down, your sobs were now just small sniffles. Grabbing a nearby chair you pulled it towards the hospital bed. Placed a bag, which contained some books you managed to grab after getting the call, onto your broths lap. Quickly opening the bag, Dazai rooted through the bag, trying to see if THAT book was in there. But realising it wasn’t, the brown-haired male pouted. “Osamu” you spoke up, making said man look up at you with a raised eyebrow. “Does this have something to do with the thing that’s happening?” You asked, your eyes pleading it not to be true, knowing if it was, your brother would probably die next time. You don’t work for ADA nor did you have an ability, you worked at the cafe downstairs. So you didn’t know much about what was going on, only the things your brother told you about. A frown made its way onto Dazai’s face and that was all you needed. Looking down at your lap, you let out a shaky breath, reconsidering if it was a good idea to ask now.
“You want to know, huh?” You heard your brother ask and when you hesitantly nodded, he began explaining everything, from when the Moby Dick crashed to when he got shot. The man your brother spoke about was dangerous. He had hurt and even killed a lot of people. Dazai told you everything except his name, but even without the name, the guy felt familiar. A little too familiar. Wanted to confirm your suspicion you were about to speak up but had stopped yourself before you could. Something in the back of your brain was screaming at you not to ask. Just stay in this ignorant bliss that you were in.
“N/N are you-“ for twice this day, Dazai was once again cut off by your shaken voice.
“His name,” You asked, finally making your mind up. “Tell me the man’s name.” Your brother's mouth was left ajar for a moment. Some part of him telling him not to and other part telling him the opposite. “Please” you pleaded, your voice breaking for a second and that was all it took.
“Fyodor Dostoevsky…”
Tumblr media
So here you were in the empty hospital bathroom, sat on a toilet seat crying into your hands. This would have to be one of the worst days ever. You haven’t even told your poor brother where you were going. You just abruptly left without saying a single word. But you knew he was smart enough to figure it out. You just wished he figured it out sooner, so you wouldn’t be in this much heartache.
Taking out your cell phone, you knew what you had to do. Going into your contacts you press the man's name you thought you could trust. Placing the phone to your ear, you waited, waiting for Fyodor to pick up. Each ring made you more and more anxious. Your palms were getting clammy as your breathing was speeding up.
“Hello?” you heard the familiar accent of your boyfriend through the phone. You felt your whole body stop moving, your brain trying to figure out how you were going to break up with this man. It was something you didn’t want to do, but knew you had to for the safety of yourself and the people around you. “моя любовь are you there?” Fyodor asked finally making you snap out from your daze.
Gripping the fabric of your dress, you considered if you should do this. It wasn’t like you felt like he would hurt you. He was a gentle and calm man with you, always making sure that you had anything you could possibly ever want. But it had to be done. “Fyodor I know everything” you confessed and it went silent after that. Neither of you spoke for a while, it was so silent you could hear your own heartbeat.
You both stayed in this silence for a few minutes and for those uncomfortable minutes were the worse you had ever experienced. “So what now?” Fyodor finally spoke up, but something was off. His once cheerful voice was now replaced with a lifeless voice that made the hair on the back of your neck stand up.
“You know what has to be done” you shakily said, hoping he couldn’t tell how scared you sounded. “You got someone to shoot my brother and you’re a criminal!” You yelled as tears fell down your cheeks. You screamed and shouted at Fyodor and he just let you, knowing this is what he deserved. He had lied to you, nearly killed your brother, put both the ADA and the Port Mafia at each other throats and so much more. Your throat was sore after shouting that much, you felt so exhausted. “This goodbye Fyodor.”
You were about to put phone down but were stopped by your now ex boyfriend’s voice. “You don’t trust me, that's why phoned instead of doing this in person,” Fyodor asked knowing this would probably be the last time either of you would talk. He knew you well. He knew you were the type of person who would rather break up in person than do this. Fyodor is a smart and cunning man, that’s what made you fall in love with him, but he wrong about not trusting him.
“No, really it’s the opposite. I don’t trust myself on doing the right thing” and with that you ended the call, blocking him and before you could even reconsider, delete the number. It was the most hardest thing you had ever done and probably will ever be. You made your way out of the bathroom, still, with tears running down your face, you made your way back to your brother's hospital room.
Opening the door, Dazai looked up with a sad expression. Knowing what you need, your big brother moved a little before patting the space on the bed for you. Smiling slightly, you walked over to the bed, laying in the spot Dazai made for you, sitting there stiff for a moment before your brother placed an arm over you, pulling you into a hug. This made you break down. A loud sob escape your lips, burying your face in your brother’s chest. As he did before, Dazai placed his hand on your hair and began slowly stroking you.
“It’s going to be alright, I promise…”

This fyodor thought has been plaguing me for some days so now I've been sitting here trying to put it into words for like an hour, so enjoyyyyy <3
So we know that he wants to rid the world of ability users because they're sinners and all that jazz, but what if that's only part of his real plan? What if there's another hidden motive to it and that is getting rid of your ability??? Not in the sense that he wants to kill you (because he could easily do that if he ever wanted to, and ofc he doesn't want to). He wants to find a way to completely nullify your ability or permanently separate you from it while keeping you alive. And that's why he got so involved with dazai and shibusawa in the first place! Because their abilities are exactly what he's looking for to help you!
But why would he want to get rid of your ability? Can't he just leave it where it is? Well picture this: what if your ability was harmful to you? Imagine you have a very powerful ability which comes with some heavy consequences. Like maybe you're virtually immortal and you can only die of old age, but any kind of pain you feel is enhanced by a lot so even a simple cut feels like you got stabbed. Or maybe you can heal any wound and cure any illness on other people at the cost of your own health. Something like this that has great power but also great drawbacks and that causes you lots of pain, which is why he wants to get rid of it.
Now I'm a firm believer that he wouldn't get in a relationship just for the sake of it (cause he's got no time for that) or just to obtain something from the other person (cause he can do that in other shady ways). I think he'd probably get in a relationship with someone only if they were someone who's grown up with him and that he's gotten attached to because of that. So picture the two of you as children, his ability makes him accidentally kill other people while your own ability makes you suffer physically/mentally and this all makes him start to loathe abilities in general. You've been a precious friend to him since your childhood days and it's always pained him to see you suffer because you were born with an ability that you never wanted, so he wants to do everything he can to help you and protect you. And this all is what's behind his plan to find 'the book'!
TLDR: you two met as children and got close and grew up together in the misfortune that your abilities brought to you. He hated to see you (his only friend) suffer because of your ability so he wanted to find a way to nullify it completely and get rid of other ability users in general. Growing up you realize your feelings for each other and in the meantime he begins with his plan to find 'the book' to make you two live a happy life together without the burden of your abilities <333
- 💍
OH MY GOD THIS IS SO FUCKING GOOD????? LIKE SUCH A GOOD IDEA??????????? you gotta write this queen this would be an amazing fic
like this gives such an amazing and well thought out motivation for why he is the way he is that actually allows for sympathy from the reader/watcher instead of he’s just evil and thinks its sinful lmfao
and the fact that he’d hurt everyone just to save you is just………. bitch💀💀💀💀 SUPERIOR TROPE

BSD actor au
Part 2, Part 3, Part 4, Part 5, Part 6
Q and Kenji are the sweetest people you will ever meet and they are friends with everyone
Kenji himself is actually surprisingly strong, just like the character
Chuuya's belt has been modified to be able to hold him on wires so that they don't need to keep putting on and taking off harnesses during scenes
There are multiple bloopers of Chuuya spinning too far around on the wires while moving and whoever else was in the scene had to grab him to help him stop
During the scene in which Atsushi and Akutagawa were fighting Fitzgerald, Dazai and Chuuya both shouted out "now kiss!"
They never kissed, the just glared at Dazai and Chuuya
Everyone does their own stunts
Off screen, Dazai and Chuuya are the kind of friends that are fully prepared to kill each other at any moment
"If I pick Dazai up by the shirt, then I don't touch his skin, so the ability wouldn't activate, would it?"
"Pretty sure that's the rules set up."
"So, I can throw Dazai at Cthulhu?"
Kouyou is Kyoka's mother
Dazai managed to convince Kouyou that Chuuya was 15 before the two met
When Kouyou and Chuuya first met, it was at a party amongst the cast and Dazai spent 30 minutes running from Chuuya
Chuuya nearly spoiled The Guild arc during an interview
Dazai, Atsushi, and Akutagawa all started shouting "No" the second they realised what he was about to say.
Dazai and Aku were sat next to him and covered his mouth with their hands
Kenji messes up his lines the most and has the script for the whichever scene is being filmed tucked inside a pocket in his overalls
There are multiple instances where he hesitates, then just takes out the script, and apologizes
Chuuya's hat is held on with hair pins because otherwise it would fall off every time he fought someone
Chuuya and Kenji have the most followers on social media and both have a lot of posts of behind the scenes
One of Kenji's pictures is of Chuuya hanging in the air in a sitting position while he and Dazai talk with the director
Kenji taught Kyoka and Q how to do archery on a day off
Gin and Aku aren't actually related and everyone found it impressive how similar they are
There is a YouTube channel on which the cast does various challenges
They did a teamed challenge in which each organisation was pitted against the others and everyone had to keep a poker face while eating very hot hot sauces, increasing in hotness
They learned that Chuuya cannot take spice at all as he struggled on the first one
Kyoka felt nothing throughout all of them
The ADA won because if that, with the Rats close behind, only losing at the last one
After they got through them all, Fyodor suggested mixing all of the sauces together and trying that
It was a bad idea

Hey there author! Could you maybe do headcannons for being stuck in a locked/stuck in a room with Dazai, chuuya, akutagawa, and fyodor. Individually or as a group?
Okay, so I'll do both, all together, then individually. Not sure if you wanted relationships anon, so I did give them relationship stuff in the individuals.
Let’s be realistic. Being stuck in a room with all four of those boys… you're asking for trouble XD.
First, there is going to be a lot of glaring and attempts to kill each other. If somebody (most likely you) doesn't step in then somebody is dying or at least getting severely injured.
Akutagawa is going to try and prove himself to Dazai. So he’ll either attack you or him. (why not Fyodor? Akutagawa isn’t a dumb-ass, that's why. He knows he’d probably end up dead. Though if it came down to it he’d probably end up attacking him just for the hell of it.)
Dazai will just sit back and watch. Don’t worry he’s already thinking and predicting things.
Of course, there is Chuuya… he’s shouting and annoying the brunette but it isn't anything he’s not used to.
If you're in the ADA, Dazai's ready to step in and help you. The same could be said if you were in the Mafia. Though, it wouldn’t be his priority. If you're with Fyodor… yeah he’ll just leave Akutagawa to deal with you.
Chuuya would ignore you unless you were in the mafia.  In that case, he’d move from being an angry bomb with Dazai to an angry dog trying to keep Akutagawa from killing his comrade. He’d stay clear of Fyodor.
Akutagawa doesn't care. He’ll attack you for the hell of it. If you're part of the mafia, I'm sure you’d find a way to piss him off.
Once the arguing ends and the two highly intelligent males *cough* Fyodor and Dazai. *cough* will be figuring how to get away from their situation.
Don’t even bother trying to help. Fyodor will A- kill you or, B- completely ignore you. Dazai’s just gonna ignore you.
The solving problems come only after Chuuya's already attempted to kick down a wall with his gravity manipulation. Might as well add Akutagawa using Rashoumon to help him. If that doesn't work, they will silently rely on Dazai and Fyodor to stop their mental war of glaring, and snarling at one another.
If you all manage to get out alive, it will be one of those 'everybody goes separate ways' situations. You know you’ll all share that “this never happened" look.
Dazai-
Tumblr media
Oh lord, stuck alone with Dazai.
He’d be his usual self. Ask for a double suicide, flirt, then get to work.
If you got unlucky he’d be in one of the “just wait till Kunikida comes to unlock the door.”
If you happen to be with Dazai at the time, he'll take the time to either hold you close, or get a little on the intimate side.
I can imagine Dazai sitting there brushing his hand through your hair before kissing you softly. It would be silent but the privacy of being locked in the room would be nice.
He may talk here and there while you two wait to be rescued, but he’d be quiet most of the time. Either trying to figure out how to get out or just lost in his thoughts.
If you started to get tired or cold, he'd do whatever he could to make sure you were both safe and doing alright.
When somebody does show to unlock the door of the room, Dazai will carry you out of there. He doesn't care if you can stand or if you're conscious. He’s going to carry you out of there.
If nobody comes and you start to show signs of discomfort, he'll stop lazing around and solve his way out of the room. When he finds the way out, he'll take you with him.
Chuuya

Loud
That room is going to be filled with indescribable cursing and shouts of frustrated anger.
Once he’s done being pissed at himself, or whoever got you two in this situation, he'll start trying to get out. Looking for windows to shatter or weak points in the steel walls. He’ll use his ability to. When that doesn't work he’ll pout
Yes, Chuuya will pout like an adult child. He’ll storm over to the wall and just kick it over and over.
You’ll have to pull him away.
He’ll grumble about how useless this situation is and how annoying it all is.
He won’t admit it, but he doesn't mind being stuck there with you. (tsundere Chuuya)
He will not let you out of his sight.
If you don’t know the reason behind being locked in here, he fears somebody may hurt you.
If after you’ve both sat there trying to figure this out, neither of you have a solution. You’ll have to be the one to toss the towel. That means grabbing your phone to request backup.
Chuuya will try to prevent this, he’ll never hear the end of it from the others when they find out about this.
While you wait, he'll be the one to fall asleep. Be prepared to take pictures, he’s an adorable sleeper!
If you chose to lay down, take the opportunity to lay your head on his chest. You may find he self-consciously wraps his arms around you.
Don’t get too embarrassed though.
When help arrives be prepared for the snickers… if it’s Dazai who shows up. He’ll be quiet enough, so he gets photos. Oh, and you two will never hear the end of this incident.
Akutagawa
Tumblr media
He’ll just stand there dumbfounded for a bit.
You’ll have to gather the courage to tap his shoulder and point out the obvious
He may attack you so be careful
If he likes you, he might click his tongue and keep his distance.
He’s going to be silent… mostly
He’ll start attacking the walls with Rashoumon.
When that doesn't work he’ll look to you for help. Of course, he won’t say he needed help. He won’t admit to any form of weakness.
When all else fails. He’ll sit down only to act like he knows what he’s doing.
It may be awhile before he looks at you, clicks his tongue, and grumbles for you to sit with him.
You'd sit down tense, but he’d act as if you weren't there even if he was paying attention to you.
If you happened to fall asleep and fall to his shoulder, he isn’t going to move a muscle.
He’ll internally panic unsure of what to do.
Eventually, he’ll wrap you in Rashoumon to keep you from getting cold.
He’d call one of his underlings for help. Most likely Higuchi.
The look on her face when she realizes how close you got to Akutagawa would set her off.
That woman is going to be glaring at you for months.
Fyodor- Disclaimer… I’m not very good with his character
Tumblr media
If you're not a part of the decay of angels/rats in the house of the dead… let’s just say you may not find yourself walking out of here alive. That is to say, if you're not with Fyodor.
If you happen to be his s/o he’ll keep you tied to him. Literally and figuratively.
He refuses to let you form his sight. Every movement you make is tracked. His mind is working to predict what’s going on as well as solve his way out of here. If he finds a way that only gets one person out, he'll ignore it. After all, he wants to get both of you out. He refuses to be stuck alone without an eye on you. In case on the outside, somebody is waiting.
He has a lot of enemies, so if this wasn’t done by one of his own he’s going to be extra careful. He’s calm and collected even if you start to panic. He’ll make sure to calm you down.
When he does find a way out… the person who made you panic and distressed as well as take his valuable time from him isn’t going to have a good day.
Expect a blood bath.
If it were one his own trying to get you two together… he’ll glare at them, but he’d be lenient.
Despite his cold look, he can be a bit obsessive with things he holds dear. That’s why he’d hurt whoever did it despite nothing serious happening.
If you did get injured… it will be utter devastation. We're talking not just one murder but several. Anybody who dared to put you in that situation.
Hope this was okay
