question about dogstar because im really loving the depth you've given to the side characters so far, eddie's siblings in particular... idk what my question is exactly but like how did you come up with their individual personalities and roles in the plot u can answer however u want i guess i just wanna hear u talk abt eddies siblings and also his relationship with them. also excited to see more of andys family so if u are willing to share anything abt them i'll eat it up ive been thinking abt dogstar a lot lately :)

(I span a fuckin yarn, so I’ll give this a read more, sorry!!) 🩷

So, I am the youngest of three and my two brothers are nearly a decade older than me. I totally idolized them growing up, and now they’re two of my best friends, so I guess siblings are just important to me. My dad is also the second youngest of /13/ so I had all kinds of insane stories to inspire ideas about the Jones Siblings. A lot of their personalities just developed naturally as I wrote, for example, I had no idea Sheridan was gonna be like, a lil spitfire as a kid until I found myself writing it. And Marion sort of developed into a more maternal character on her own, just per the fact that she’s the oldest daughter in the house now that Sheridan is married. (Sorry to eldest daughters everywhere)

That sort of thing happened in my dad’s family too, the kids were all like 2 years apart, but they kinda grouped up and had oldest->youngest siblings dynamics within those groups. Like when Andy realizes that Eddie was probably doing all the things Marion does now when they were younger.

Joe, I knew what was up with him immediately because of his role in the plot of Our Hemisphere, but I really wanted to flesh him out this time. He’s such a fucking middle child, which makes sense with their little group because it starts with Eddie and more-or-less ends with Michael. Being the second son sort of fucked him up a bit, he’ll never be the baby in a family as big as theirs but he’s never been honored with the role of eldest son. EXCEPT: plot twist of his life, his oldest brother goes off to war and he’s stuck at home and he’s incredibly jealous but also suddenly saddled with all the expectations of an eldest son. All of which only gets compacted further when Eddie returns and is Not Right. (I missed you, I hated you, I wanted to be you, and now You’re Not Even You! What the fuck am I supposed to do with that!)

Michael is a middle child but what he actually is, is a little brother and a big brother. He’s in both the oldest and middle groups of siblings, and Marion and Katherine probably see him at his most authentic, his most relaxed, the three of them are absolutely ride or die. But with Joe, that’s His Big Brother. He would do anything he asks, anything that would impress Joe. It’s part (a large part) of why he’s involved with all the shit with the Brubakers. And in some later developments (no spoilers) it becomes clearer that he’s striving to find an identity, to do something his family will be proud of, something his siblings can’t do as well as him. I’ve really broken my own heart with this guy.

Katherine being bookish is also something that just sort of happened. I admit, I’d like to develop her more, but I think being like, smack-dab in the middle of everybody is stressful. And she’s another oldest-sibling-youngest-sibling kid, and her books are her escape from all of that. She’s a bit trapped, y’know? She (and Marion tbh) is sort of just expected to take care of their younger siblings and isn’t given a lot of guidance herself. She is absolutely the kind of kid who watched her siblings have conflict with their parents and learned not to be the squeaky wheel. Not because the Jones parents would do anything bad but because she felt like it was her duty to be the good kid.

(This was me, by the way. So we can assume that at some point in life she’ll go apeshit) (just probably not in this story)

The four youngest sort of operate as a unit. They are The Kids, the ones their parents actively worry about, the ones that cannot fend for themselves at all, really. A lot of their lives are defined by the boundaries of agency and (somewhat) neglect. What I mean by this is, they have long hours of their days in which no one is looking in on them, in which no one /has time/ to look in on them, in which if they were to ask for help, they might not receive any. But the rest of their time is spent being sheparded by some member of the family. They have very little agency in any real-life decisions and very little privacy. John and Frank, preteen twins, damn, are just starting to press against this, testing boundaries. Some of which could stands to be broken, tbh. The younger two, Walter and Ruth, certainly need to be sheparded. They’re babies.

And Ruth! Oh my darling baby, Ruth. She is so special to Eddie. I don’t think he would say so aloud, but that is /his baby sister/. He’s so partial toward her and he feels similarly toward her as he felt towards Sheridan growing up. Only probably more protective because….baby. He absolutely still views himself as the leader of his siblings, and he’s frustrated by his inability to slip back into that role now that he’s home. And worse is that Ruth won’t even pretend with him, at least his other siblings are trying to let him be who he was, Ruth is like “who the fuck is this guy? I’m supposed to listen to him?” She’s just protecting herself, keeping her distance because even if she’s little, she can read a room. She can tell that everyone is acting /weird/.

I’m most excited to continue the evolution of their relationship. I promise, it’ll get better.

Now, Andy’s family…

The biggest piece of Andy’s family is his younger brother Bill, who you /will/ meet. Eventually. Andy, of course, is a big brother. If he was a younger brother, I imagine he would have an older sister (which, I would love to see him get the little brother treatment tbh but this is not our story). But his relationship with Bill is very different from Eddie’s with Joe or Michael or Sheridan. He’s about a decade older than him and has trouble relating to him as a man bc in his mind, Bill is still a little kid.

There’s this sort of reversal that’s happened with he and his brother, which hopefully my writing will reflect as the story goes on. Andy was the all-American son, picture perfect (especially if we don’t know about him being queer) and he wasn’t very hard on his parents to raise. Bill, on the other hand, was a menace. Like, I would be too if I were constantly compared to Andy. He wanted to be himself! He wanted to be noticed! God forbid he gets in a little trouble, right?

Then, Andy goes off to war, Bill doesn’t, and Bill does a lot of growing and changing in that time. He grows up, he gets married, he moves into a house with his wife, and now it’s Andy who’s the problem child. It’s Andy who can’t figure out how to live with his parents, who feels like he’s falling behind. And really, it still smarts for Bill bc ANDY is still getting all the goddamn attention! Like, he’s grown now, it isn’t so stark a contrast away from their childhood home, but Bill still notices and he has to try not to let it hurt him.

And, uh, without going into spoilers, Andy’s relationship with Bill will be tested in this story. For reasons you might be able to put together. Again, you’re the younger brother, you feel a little invisible, you feel like you can never measure up, and then you find out he’s /so/ different than you thought. How do you handle it? (Not great, if you’re Bill).

Both of these families love each other. And don’t get me wrong, any of these siblings would throw hands for their brothers and sisters, but families are complicated. Especially ones as big as Eddie’s. I’ve highlighted a lot of the issues they have here bc that’s what drives the story, but they really do love each other. And they did/do have relatively happy childhoods, it’s just… this is the meat of it y’know?

Ooooh I’m really interested in your au! Since Donnie was the only one who was separated how different is the dynamic between his brothers since they grew up without him?

ok before I answer this let me first say that I am 0% confident in my writing abilities so ive been very nervous about exploring raph, leo, and mikey's dynamic in case i make it incredibly ooc but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ here we go!

so donnie's absence really i think would really effect raph the most because it would only put more pressure on him as the oldest sibling and pseudo-caretaker of leo and mikey. a lot of the quality of life things that the hamato family has access to (electricity, plumbing, heating, etc...) in the show are all because of donnie's mechanical ingenuity. a lot of these things the hamato family just wouldn't have access to in this au, or at least wouldn't have access to all the time. raph, as the oldest sibling, ends up taking on a lot of that responsibility in trying to provide a stable and comfortable home for leo and mikey. and raph really does his best! but the issue is that no matter how many books he reads or like how many youtube tutorials he follows, they just dont have access to all the proper tools to create fully functioning household amenities, and raph so mechanically minded that he's able to improvise with what he does have access to like donnie is able to.

leo and mikey end up being a lot closer to each other than they are with raph, just because raph has so much responsibility on his shoulders. but even though leo and mikey are super close, leo is a little bit lonely because theres no one his age that he can really goof off with. like he loves mikey but even while he is goofing off and making trouble with mikey he still feels that sort of responsibility to keep mikey safe because mikey is the baby, so leo does tend to go off on his own to cause trouble and mischief and whatever other leo activities he likes to do

idk i have so many ideas for how raph is impacted by donnie's absence but im kind of blanking on how leo and mikey would be affected so if people have suggestions feel free to send them!

Few things i have changed, Both Hamato Yoshi and Tan Shen were scientists who worked together and eventually fell in love and started a family their oldest Miwa, second oldest Donatello, Middle child Leonardo, second youngest Raphael and youngest Michelangelo. Yoshi had always known Martial Arts and taught his children when they were old enough to learn. Yoshi and Shen being home mutagen that is highly dangerous bc they dont know shit abt it yet. Donnie having a love for science and wanting to impress his mom takes it upon himself to go and investigate it which prompts his siblings to want to check it out too. Raph having an obsession with turtles brings his pet to come watch and Mikey crawls in (hes around 1-2 ish at the time). The mutagen spills mutating all the brothers but in different ways: Donnie only gets a turtle shell with all his other features being relatively human like, Raph gets mutated into a half turtle half human hybrid (like regular 2012 raph), Leo has turtle like limbs with the rest of his torso and head being human like, and mikey gets mutated into a half human half turtle hybrid like raph since he was exposed to it super young. Miwa finds them and calls for her parents who at first freak out and then try to find the cause of the mutation to turn their children back. (I havent fleshed out what the virus would be but lets just say the kraang had something to do with it) Then the government starts freaking out about the virus which causes chaos and once they find the mutated brothers they arrest tan shen and Don, Raph, and Leo leaving Miwa alone because shes human. Yoshi is in his lab monitoring Mikey because hes still a baby and just got mutated. Once he catches wind of the arrests he flees into the woods with mikey thinking that Miwa is safe. She wasnt and she and donnie were separated from their mother, raph and leo (who escaped). Oroku Saki being the person people go to for answers sees the potential in Donnies smarts and Miwas skills and decides to keep Donnie alive because of it having his partial mutation be a manipulation point for him and giving him to a wealthy and smart family where he can continue to advance in his studies (the o’neils) while oroku trains Miwa. After a few years of training under oroku miwa and her girlfriend Harmony escape and decided to form their own pack of children who lost their parents the foot clan and train them in martial arts they were taught. Both change their names Miwa becomes Karai and Harmony becomes Shinigami

During the shake down Casey Jones’ younger sister was born her being a hybrid (plot hole i will patch up later) which causes him to freak out

Back with Mikey and Yoshi, Yoshi changes his name to splinter as to not associate himself with his scientific discovery gone wrong and trains mikey for 10 years of his life also telling him stories of how life was and his family before all this happened until Casey finds Mikey and Splinter (dead), Mikey who has grown up with the sense that there was more to the world than what splinter told him wants to go and see for himself and find his family. Casey having a soft spot for hybrids agrees and together they travel

hello yena (⁠｡⁠･⁠ω⁠･⁠｡⁠)⁠ﾉ⁠♡ hehe the reason im not v satisfied w cheol's is bcs i feel like it lacks depth ? ? idk but w jeonghan and joshua i could talk about 2 different characteristics (?) of theirs and the imagery i used just worked,,, (lol i think you'll know what i mean when you read them but yea) w cheol it felt like i was focusing on just one aspect of his personality ? i wanted to incorporate his shy nature and also his,, idk. ik he's the oldest member but he's literally the maknae of his own family so i feel like he's more or less used to being pampered and babied (he said this himself if i remember correctly) ? ? it's kind of like w dino, who's the youngest in the group but the oldest out of his siblings, which is why he doesn't rly act like a typical maknae. hopefully that made sense and yeah,, i wanted to talk about cheol's shy and playful nature but i don't think it rly came across that well ? to me it just lacks a lil dimension but it's still pretty decent i think <3

Savage is the oldest brother- Maul is the middle child and Lillithe/Feral are the babies. Obviously, I headcanon that Savage and Feral live because I want to do cute twin stuff with Feral and Lilly. Plus it’s just more interesting to have all four of them interacting. Mother Talzin causes infighting due to her favouritism- Maul being on the receiving end of that. Especially considering Talzin tried to have both Feral and Lillithe killed- they much prefer the company of their Father, Viscus. Lillithe didn’t get to meet him until she was in her twenties.

Lillithe’s lore still a massive work in progress. However here is the short form.... 

Mother Talzin gave up baby Lillithe to Count Dooku to be trained. However after Maul’s death her studies were accelerated to the point where Lillithe was unable to physically put up with the demands of her Sith masters. Mother Talzin was very unimpressed with her daughter and orders her to be executed- but Dooku had other plans for the little zabraki girl. Much could be achieved through the desperate search for the Master’s favour, so he would keep her close. Under Separatist technical training she expanded their armies tenfold with hellish robotic creations the likes of which tore through the Republic’s ranks. In her teen years she builds a squad of droids who she uses for her own surgical purposes- expanding her field to include more fleshy subjects. Involving herself in projects more nefarious, hoping to catch the eyes of the Sith Lord, she had a heavy hand within project Algorithm. Lillithe, now a Doctor, quickly becomes top of her field and earned her a place within the Techno Union, the Empire, and later the Crimson Dawn after reconciling with her estranged brothers. 

The siblings get along FOR THE MOST PART. If Maul holds his tongue and Feral and Lillithe don’t absolutely fuck up the mission they get along. Savage is the glue that holds them all together (keeps Maul from killing the younger ones). Savage loves all of them so much but he will always have the biggest soft spots for Feral. Lillithe uses her inheritance Dooku left her to fund the Crimson Dawn.

The Kim family had just finished dinner and were having family time in the living room!

Minseok played with his siblings on the coffee table. He was teaching his younger brother and sister how to share their toys as they often fought with each other. The two youngest’s personalities often clashed as Soojin and Haneul were both chaotic in their own ways.

“Soojinie,” Minseok calls, he notices that his brother was pouting next to his sister. “Let Haneul borrow that.” He points to the car Soojin was playing with. “You’ve been holding onto that this whole time, Haneul’s been wanting to play with it too.” 

“But it’s mine,” Soojin says, holding it close to her chest. 

“I know, but Haneul just wants to play with it. It will still be yours,” Minseok says, holding his arm out for the toy. Soojin hesitates, but gives it to him anyway.

“Here Han-Han,” Minseok says, acting cute when he gives the toy to Haneul. He only calls Haneul that when Haneul’s sad. 

Haneul immediately lights up when the toy car is given to him. 

“Thanks hyungie~”

“At least we raised one nice one,” Jin says, watching his three kids. The two of you were sitting on the couch. Well, you were sitting on the couch. Jin was laying down, facing up, with his feet on the arm of the couch and his head on your lap.

He turns his head to look up at you, snuggling his head on your lap. 

“They’re all sweet in their own way,” you respond, watching Soojin finally play with Haneul and Minseok smiling as he watches them two. “Look at them.” You gesture to the kids, watching them laugh with each other. 

“Yeah, if only it was like this all the time,” Jin sighs. Nowadays, he’s been busier and has been out of the house often. When he is with the kids, they’re often in bad moods, or he’s had a stressful day. Sometimes they're all in bad moods which makes it all just stressful for one another. If only it was like this all the time. When everyone’s happy~ 

He turns his head to look up at you. 

“Can you believe it’s almost been a month since our trip?” Jin says. Your anniversary trip was almost a month ago. Which is crazy to think. Time goes by fast doesn’t it? 

The two of you have been busy, with work and with the kids. Sometimes together, sometimes individually. There’s been long nights and long days. But it’s all worth it in the end. For nights like this.

“I miss Jeju,” Jin pouts, closing his eyes. You giggle, poking his round cheeks. “I wanna go on anodo twip~~” he whines, talking in aegyo. You roll your eyes, cupping his cheeks and shaking his head from side to side. 

“My baby wants to go on anodo twip?” you repeat, jutting out your bottom lip. Right when the word baby leaves your mouth, you see Haneul’s head whip towards you from your peripheral vision. You look up at him and he’s frowning.

“I’m the baby,” he says, pointing to himself. Jin turns to look at him and shakes his head.

“I’m mommy’s baby,” Jin says, turning his head toward your stomach, looking away from his kids. You look up at Haneul and you can tell that he’s mad. Minseok starts to giggle as Haneul starts walking up to his dad. 

“No! Me!” Haneul yells as he stands in front of his dad. “I’m baby!” With that came a smack to Jin’s shoulder. Jin’s head whips toward him so fast and his eyes are wide.

“Did you just hit me?”

Haneul hits him again. “I’m mommy’s baby,” he says, smacking Jin’s chest. 

“Stop hitting my daddy!” Soojin yells, running towards her brother. She pushes him to the side and hugs Jin. Of course this made Haneul scream. 

A quiet household doesn’t last long for you five. 

“Soojinah,” Jin whines, holding onto his chest. Acting as if he was so hurt. “Haneul hurt daddy.” 

“See you hurt my daddy!” Soojin yells, pushing Haneul back down as he finally gets up on his feet. 

“Yah--” You say, putting an arm on her shoulder. Let’s not take this too far.

“That’s my daddy too!” Haneul yells out. This whole time Minseok was just leaning over the coffee table, watching everything unfold before him.

“No he’s mine!” Soojin yells. 

“No, daddy is mine,” you say, making both of them turn to you. You lean down and hug Jin’s head, pressing his cheek against yours. “And I have known daddy for longer.”

You give Jin a kiss on the cheek, he already had a cheeky smile on his face. You turn to look back up at Soojin and her lips are quivering and her eyebrows were already turned upwards. 

“Soojinah--” You say, right before the floodgates have opened. 

Now you had two screaming and crying children as Haneul started crying right after his sister did. You froze, looking up at your last, quiet child. You and Minseok made eye contact and he let out a little smile, making you laugh. Your laughing only made Soojin cry louder. 

“Alright alright, daddy is yours, come here,” Jin says, sitting up and opening his arms. Soojin is still crying as she walks into her dad’s embrace. Jin picks her up, placing her on his lap. Soojin tucks her arms under herself, sandwiched between hers and Jin’s chest. Jin rubs her back, saying “it’s okay, no need to cry.”

“Haneul come to mommy?” You say, opening your arms as well. Haneul stands up and runs into your arms, crying into your chest. 

“How’d it turn out like this?” You say to Jin, letting out a small laugh. He shrugs his shoulders, smiling at you. 

You both are rubbing the two youngest’s backs, trying to calm them down. 

“Look at Minseok,” Jin tells you. You look up at your oldest and see him just awkwardly looking at you two. 

“What about you? Who’s your favorite?” You ask him. Clearly Soojin was more of a daddy’s girl and Haneul was more of a mommy’s boy, even though he was fighting over Jin.

“I love both of you equally,” Minseok answers. Jin nodded in approval, he said the right answer. 

“Oh! But hey, Haneul looks like you’re winning him over,” you tell Jin. Haneul often liked to be trouble with his dad, as if he hated him. But of course he was always sweet with you.

“Is that true Haneul-ah?~” Jin says, lowering his head down and looking at Haneul. He’s calmed down now, both him and his sister. “Do you like daddy more now?” 

Haneul looks up at Jin and looks back down, ignoring his answer. 

He definitely loves his dad.

“Can you two make up now?” You say, referring to Haneul and Soojin. You and Jin pulled away from the little ones for them to sit up and look at one another.

“Make up so we can play already,” Minseok says, walking towards his siblings. 

“Han-Han~” Minseok says, putting a hand on Haneul’s back. “Jinie-Jinie-Soojinie~” He says in a sing-songy voice, turning to his sister and putting a hand on her back. 

Haneul slides off of you and hugs Minseok, looking up at his sister. 

“Go say sorry to Haneul,” Jin tells Soojin. She frowns, sliding off of him and walking towards Minseok.

“Sorry Haneul,” she says, pulling and tugging onto Minseok’s shirt, trying to avoid eye contact. 

“Haneul say sorry to noona too,” you say. 

“Sorry~” He says, looking up at his sister.

“Okay~ Let’s play now,” Minseok says, patting Haneul’s back. 

With that, the three turned around and began playing as if nothing had just happened. Jin sighs, going back to his previous position and laying back into your lap.

“Yeah,” he says, eyes closed and all. “I want to go back to Jeju.” 

You laugh, patting his cheeks. 

“We can go,” you say, his eyes opened so quickly. As if they were saying ‘really??’ 

You nod, “but with the kids this time.” He whines, dropping his head down and shutting his eyes. You laugh at his reaction, squishing his cheeks once again. 

*ring ring*

You turn to the sound. “Is that mine?” You say. You and Jin have the same ringtones. 

“I think so, my phone is in our room,” Jin responds. Eyes still closed, not budging one bit. 

“Well can you get off of me so I can get it?” 

Jin shakes his head no. You sigh.

“I’ll get it mommy,” Minseok says, running to your phone. 

“Thanks sweetie,” you say, watching your oldest run and get your phone. He gives it back to you quickly and returns back to his siblings.

“Oh it’s my dad,” you say, answering the call.

also, i know i haven’t been constant as i used to be and that’s more of a part of me not being in the mood to post much, which is also on the fact that i don’t think much people (at least compared to the previous member’s au), are reading this one? i have new readers everyday for the other au’s and although a lot of people love this series and were anticipating this au, this has been the au with the least feedback/readers which make me wonder if it’s boring or what haha ahh.. i don’t want to be that person who’s looking for likes or anything but in the bts tumblr fanfic community idk if everyone’s aware of this, but jin’s au tend to be the ones with the least amount of readers etc. which is why there isn’t much fics on him, a lot of writers gets unmotivated to write for him when they know it doesn’t get as much as tae’s and jungkook’s. and im starting to feel that way, just because for previous au’s i’d constantly post because i’d always get feedback on every update and it motivates me to write more but this au has been the driest au ever lol which is sad because a lot of people were asking to be added to the taglist and i have no idea what happened to them now but i just hope everyone’s okay! i know none of us are obligated to be on top of reading updates but i just wanted to say how i felt. the only thing keeping me going on this au is jin. haha, as silly as that sounds, i don’t want more au’s on him to discontinue because of things like this. im ot7, this whole au is for all of the members so i hope my followers and fellow tmbmil fam continue to read till the end because i did had something planned for the ending, which might just not happen depending on how this au ends. but also the others that keep me going is my sister, a fellow jin bias, and the handful of readers who comment on my updates haha but yeah, this is just how im feeling. i don’t want anyone to think im just not in the mood to do this thing anymore. i really did enjoy this

So I have an oc named Azazel that's devil's sister and basically rules over a distant, smaller area of hell, and she has two kids, sunny(left) and tempest(right). I don't have there whole story figured out, but basically they get sent to live with their uncle because too many demons in their homeland want them dead for a variety of reasons so it's like not safe for them any more? Idk I'm still figuring stuff out.

Mating with a mortal is considered an atrociouty in the demon world, and all the other demons were, uh, not very happy when Sunny was born. An overwhelming amount hate Sunny just for existing, though she has some die-hard stans who act like she's their literal god and savior, there's almost no in-between

Devil was pretty pissed when he found out his sister was pregnant with a mortal's spawn, but he still offered support. He and King Dice suggested Azazel get an abortion, it seemed like it would be the most painless option, but they still supported her when she decided to have the baby. They actually genuinely care about Sunny, now that they know her. Devil's actually really glad she exists now, even if the circumstances weren't great

Sunny acts kinda helpless in a lot of ways, it's just something Azazel grained into her. Her mother never really wanted Sunny to have to look out for herself or do anything alone(over-protective mama tryin to keep her mortal baby safe.) Azazel figured Tempest would take the throne after her since she's her oldest living child(kinda unrelated but she had a daughter she'd adopted that would be her oldest but she kinda died years ago as a young teenager trying to protect Sunny), and Sunny could live her whole life protected, looked after, and shut out from the dangerous outside world.

Her mom isn't the best at comforting her when she feels lonely or left out, so when Sunny ever felt down about not being able to play outside much or do most of what the other kids do, she'd just shower her with gifts. They'd distract Sunny in the moment, but never really filled the void

Sunny never really got to play with or really see other kids around her age (besides tempest) until they went to live with their uncle, was lonely for most of her childhood

Devil gets that Sunny's more fragile than pure-blood demons, and is reasonably protective over her and Tempest, but not nearly as much as Azazel. He feels like they should be living and experiencing things like normal kids do, it's important for their growth, he's basically like, 'for the love of hell children, go outside and play in the dirt or something, you've clearly been deprived of actually living'

His father was an imp Azazel was close friends with but kinda had a one-night stand with a few times. Azazel didn't stay in a relationship with the imp(i wanna call him Obsidian I think), but they remained very close friends, and Obsidian was a very involved father while he was alive. He even acted like a father to Sunny and Azazel's other daughter, even tho they weren't biologically his. Actually died protecting Sunny.

A lot of the higher ranking demons were extremely ridiculing toward Azazel due to her son's father(most consider imps lower beings, being caught in a relationship with one is considered a huge scandal, even worse Azazel had a kid by him).

Many demons question if Tempest is really a legitimate heir to the throne due to his parantege. Azazel tells them to stfu.

Back home he was allowed to do a lot of things sunny generally can't, like going outside(with an escort ofc) and hang around other kids his age, since even tho he's a lot smaller than his sis, he's a full-blood demon and therefore less breakable. Although Azazel is very protective of her son, for this reason she's not as worried about him as she is sunny.

Loves his mom, but their relationship is a little strained atm

The reason tempest is much less bejeweled than his sister isn't about favoritism or whatever, he just doesn't like to wear a lot of jewelry, and Azazel respects that. He prefers to get books and stuff like that for gifts.

Sunny only remembers glimpses of their older sister, but Tempest was old enough to have some coherent memories of her. He thinks a lot about her, and wonders what she'd be like now if she'd survived.

Loves his sis but can sometimes get very annoyed with her

Gets frustrated/angry easily

Tempest really does love his friends and family, he just isn't always good at expressing it, and is definitely not as straightforward with his affection as Sunny is.

He's upset Azazel sent them away, but is genuinely looking forward to spending more time with his uncles and having more freedom.

BRUH, YOU’RE OPENING FLOODGATES HERE. THANK YOU!

A little background info on her original concept: 4-5ish years ago, it was pretty common for Uchiha ocs in the warring states era to be… idk, very not Uchiha + lots of demonising the Uchiha clan in order to justify them making connections within the Senju clan. Each to their own! But I wanted to see an Uchiha oc in that time period who very much embodied the Uchiha: having quite the temper and strong emotions that are almost impossible to leash, full of enough love and loyalty to their family to be soul crushing, etc. while STILL making connections in the Senju clan, bc I love complications and angst.

Disclaimer here that she is VERY much self indulgent, so I don’t feel guilty. And here goes:

She’s the second oldest of Tajima and Karura’s children, the oldest being Madara, then Kazura, Izuna (younger by a whopping 40 seconds), Kazuya, Azuma, and Setsuna.

She and Izuna are identical twins! Which is immensely rare but not impossible for a boy and girl. They did everything together all their lives, share a LOT of mannerisms, and even though she lived almost 2 decades longer than he did, never truly adjusted to him being gone.

A really terrifying blend of her mother’s unbreakable resilience and her father’s anger. Carries herself with the resting little smirk and quiet dignity she shared with Izuna that upsets everyone with small dick energy.

In their family, Kazura took to playing the part of the “lure” by striving to get herself in more trouble than her siblings in order to divert their father’s anger. An almost no-fail strategy she dragged into adulthood, upsetting elders, and earning herself a generally bad rep as a terrible daughter while also being too accomplished to demote LMAO gotta love that intrinsic Uchiha respect for power.

Unlocked her sharingan before Madara, after Setsuna was killed right in front of her. (Despite being considered ~more reasonable~ than Madara after the founding, the only actual difference between their circumstances is that she got to kill the person who killed her baby brother in front of her. So while Kazura quickly comes to understand Tobirama, she also 100% gets Madara and never tries to talk him out of his grudge)

Instead of Tajima, Kazura and Izuna always saw Madara as the real protector/head of the house. Kazura strove to be like him, never lost her respect and love for him, and how he became vilified tore her up.

As most girls were, especially if they possessed strong chakra, she was married in her early/mid teens in order to create more child soldiers. She miscarried the first two and, unable to bear losing any others the same way or in battle like her 3 youngest brothers (also very angry at her father for taking her off the battlefield so she couldn’t protect her surviving brothers), took illegal contraceptives in secret to prevent that happening. There are still many members of the clan who feel they lost to the Senju because she failed to conceive. Only Madara and Tobirama ever find out the truth of what she did.

Stumbled into being the adoptive mother of baby Kagami and adolescent Naori (and, really, quite a lot of orphans). WILL turn your face to ash if you hurt her babies. Raised them to be respectful ONLY to people that have earned it, regardless of status. As you can imagine, this did not make her frightfully popular LMAO.

REALLY high alcohol tolerance. Hashirama is the only founder she can’t drink under the table, only thanks to his crazy regenerative abilities.

Strives to understand a person as fully as she can before she acts. On a battlefield, this means drawn out battles and her intentionally holding back if she feels it’d be a shame to lose that opponent. Off the battlefield… well, shit like trying to understand Tobirama so she wouldn’t only associate him solely with her twin’s death + them developing Feelings and everything going downhill ❤️

Her genjutsu are fucking terrifying, I’d slice my own throat if I pissed her off by attacking someone in her protection.

She and Tobirama actually collaborated to create refined medical ninjutsu and edo tensei. Butsuma Senju be like “my son is fine” your son strove to be perfect in order to try reach your impossible standards and later invented necromancy with the help of his former enemy bc they’re totally grieving their siblings a normal amount.

If/when she gets edo tensei’d and finds out that the role of “prove that Uchiha are actually good and deserve to live by enduring all the shit we throw at you without complaining!” was passed from her, to Kagami and his descendants, things will not be gucci 🌻

ok i rly love the idea of immortal everyone but tbh!!! i really dont know enough about asian history to like... go into detail about this honestly and I really didn’t want to come off as racist by fudging some stuff, but here r some bulletpoints about Things

Sokka & Katara

In this au they’re not biologically related, but are both Inuit

Sokka dies first in a skirmish with another group of indigenous people in northern Canada (Inuit Nunangat) sometime prior to 1800

He knows he died, his people saw him die, and he doesn’t understand what’s happening (I really don’t know enough about the Inuit people to say whether they would have rejected him or tried to help him understand what happened to him)

however, I’d like to think they’d at least tell him to talk to the angakkuq, the shaman, and would probably see this as a positive thing

Eventually his band of people would whittle down to just a dozen or so, after long winters and harsh climates, and they were forced to assimilate with other bands who didn’t have ancestors who were there when Sokka died in the first place, so he has to move on.

He travels around for a while, trading and learning and staying in bands for a few years before moving on to another group, until it’s the 1800s

Around this time, Katara is born (and dies)

She refuses to stand down against a white French hunter who wanted to take one of the young women in her village as a wife, and she’s killed, and the woman is taken anyway.

When she wakes up, she’s furious, and before she can understand what happened to her, she finds the man and kills him. She’s arrested and set to be killed when Sokka finds her.

They aren’t biological siblings, but they come from the same people, and the world is changing rapidly and they’re the only people they know who are like this. The idea of marrying Katara is the worst thing that Sokka can think of-- look at her, she’s just a baby!!-- so they call each other siblings and travel together.

Zuko

ok again i know literally 0 things about chinese history like i googled “female chinese warriors” for suki and got like 100 things for mulan

Zuko is old, probably one of the oldest of the (living) group, but younger than Aang

he was the first son of the second son of the emperor in a time of political conflict in China. His father, the prince, was at war with his own brother who Zuko considered a father figure.

zuko speaks out against his father and is killed for being a traitor, but, guess what, he doesn’t die!!! his father does it again for posterity and uhhhhhh still doesn’t die. (or rather, dies, and comes back)

here’s where my uhhhhhh lack of knowledge is Bad

would his father banish him for being cursed? for somehow being against the gods?

or would he force him to fight in his armies, against his uncle, because he can’t die?

I was going to go with “banished” but fighting for decades in a fight he doesn’t want to be in is so! much! worse!

his father wants to know the secrets of his immortality and when he can’t share it he’s tortured and tested for years, and eventually sent out to fight as an immortal soldier who can’t die.

eventually he escapes, and leaves china for a long time (he doesn’t return for centuries)

he is highly distrustful of anyone for years bc of his father!! he wanders around for years like he does in Zuko Alone (or like Quynh before Andy finds her) and while he sees small bits of humanity, he has little faith in it and their wars, because he is Not One Of Them

For money he joins bandit groups or warlords or mercenaries, because why does any of that matter to him? Everyone dies.

Eventually he meets Aang, who is Humanity Personified, and Aang asks him if he thinks they can be friends-- but they’re on opposite sides of this conflict and Zuko is too disillusioned to want that. (they part ways)

He meets a man, Iroh, who reminds him of his uncle. They travel together for far longer than Zuko normally would, because he likes having a father figure, and because Iroh lost a son about Zuko’s age. They travel for years and Zuko never ages, so eventually he has to leave. Iroh finds him a few years later, greyer and slower, but tells Zuko that he knows about Zuko.

Zuko reacts poorly to this, lashing out, but Iroh is calm. Zuko breaks down and tells him he can’t give Iroh what he wants. (what Zuko assumes he wants-- what they all want, immortality)

But Iroh’s like, why would I want that? it sounds like a curse, son. Why would I want to never see my son again?

He tells Zuko: we’re not meant to be alone

After Iroh passes a few years later, he tries to track down Aang but can’t find him. He, however, has dreams about the others.

Roku was his mentor, the first immortal that any of them know of. He’s thousands of years old when Aang meets him. (He’s also the first to die. He shows Aang that All Things Must Die)

Aang is Tibetan, a Buddhist monk, one of the earliest, maybe the 7th century?

He dies in a temple fire

here again my complete and utter lack of knowledge is Bad

according to Dzogchen, individuals can transform their body into an immortal rainbow light, so there’s some mention of immortality in certain parts of Tibetan Buddhist culture, but idk how widespread that is since wikipedia didnt even have a source for it

he becomes a missionary and travels around asia for decades before Roku finds him

Roku!!! he’s an Old Immortal, and probably wants to die a little bit at this point, and he eventually does!! but for awhile he and Aang travel around together, and butt heads a bit bc Aang’s pacifist nature, and Roku thinks Aang Will Change as he gets older

aang is absolutely devastated by the Mongol invasion of Tibet in the 13th century

roku dies about a hundred years after he meets aang, and aang travels around a little aimlessly for awhile, learning all kinds of things and befriending people he’ll outlive. it dampens his spirits a bit.

eventually he meets Zuko, who’s far more jaded than Roku was, even, and wants to be friends, but respects Zuko’s decision otherwise.

Eventually, aang travels with the Norse to Canada in the 15th century, but when they leave they don’t take him with them. Instead, he ends up frozen ala steve rogers. Katara and Sokka find him a few hundred years later.

alternatively////// Aang IS the newest kid. he’s the Nile of the group. He’s still a Tibetan monk, and views this as a teaching/learning opportunity. He would also probably like everyone to stop killing each other. Sokka rolls his eyes at him constantly.

Toph

toph is a struggle bc how do you deal with an IMMORTAL BLIND GIRL

I’m gonna stick w her show backstory: rich, blind daughter of a wealthy Chinese family

Is kidnapped and her throat is slit when she’s young (maybe an older teenager) and the kidnappers panic, leaving her body. She’s found, namely unharmed, and resumes life despite the fact she knows she died.

However, being a privileged young girl, she’s kept under watch and it quickly becomes known that she’s immortal.

She’s regarded as a living deity for centuries until she meets Suki, who rescues her from the place and teaches her to fight. (she becomes a myth, later, rather than a historical fact)

alternatively//////// she could have been first generation chinese-american, and therefore the youngest

Suki

Suki was a third generation female warrior of her family who guarded the boarder during the Northern Song Dynasty (960-1127), and trained from a young age in martial arts. (insp by the story of Mu Guiying)

She’s a war orphan, and leads an army of war widows and orphan women, but meets her untimely end with some of her sisters in a reign of arrows. She’s buried by some of her sisters before she wakes up again, and has to claw her way to the surface.

Her sisters don’t know how to react to her (a lot like Nile’s soldiers) so she eventually leaves them.

After her death, she hears rumors of a living goddess (Toph) and goes to see if there really is another person like her, and finds one of the people from her dreams (Toph)

She trains Toph to fight despite her being blind, and the pair become an unusual duo for a couple hundred years.

eventually, they start dreaming about a pair of siblings in the New World (not that new!! people live there!!) and book passage there in the 1800s with the first major wave of Chinese immigration

They dream about each other. it happens a lot at first, but it tapers out over the years. it grows stronger whenever a new one (katara) is born, but Katara and Sokka have NO desire to leave their homeland to go look for these strange people until they find Aang. (what languages might they have in common? russian??? the russians came to settle alaska, I know bc my stepmom is native alaskan and russian--- the Mongols invaded TIbet and Mongolia is right next to Russia, so Aang might know it??)

When they find Aang, Suki and Toph start dreaming of them again, and so does Zuko and they all start making their way to San Francisco. The Chinese wouldn’t arrive in Canada until around the 1850s (according to google) so Sokka probably wouldn’t speak any Chinese (mandarin???? i dont know things), but Zuko might speak some English or Russian. [really just gonna be a bunch of chinese, inuit, and tibetan people speaking russian to each other, isn’t it??]

Aang greets Zuko like an old friend, and Zuko Does Not know what to do with that. he’s skirtish and shy and hasn’t really been around a lot of friendly people. Sokka does NOT trust him. At all!! (he wants Katara to stay FAR AWAY from him. stick with the harmless monk we found at the bottom of a lake, katara.)

They find Suki and Toph in a bar. Toph hustling people for money, and Suki drinking at the bar. It’s very strange to have all of them around, and it’s like, 1830. they all decide they like each other, after they get some good old fashioned stabbing in-- Katara is the only woman Sokka has been around whos like him, and she’s like his little sister, and all he wants to do is Protect Her, so he doesn’t know what to do with women who known knives. (get his ass handed to him, thats what)

Zuko + Sokka eventually come to a truce as the only dudes in this entire group who are willing to fight. Sokka is interested in both men and women, but he’s never really shared his life with anyone, and it’s the same for Zuko. Sokka, because he was regarded as an elder with his people, and after that he could only stay a few years. He had lovers, like Yue, but they all eventually died and Sokka couldn’t do anything about it!! Zuko, because while he also had lovers, he couldn’t really bear to be around humanity for a long time after what happened to him. (he’s vehemently opposed to slavery)

I think they get together at first just kind of because there isn’t really anyone else. Suki + Toph are kinda their own thing (are they lovers? sisters in arms? who knows), Katara is like Sokka’s sister (and if Zuko touches her Sokka will end his destiny permanently), and Aang is... aang.

It’s sorta a friends-with-benefits thing, except its an immortal warrior reluctant companions-with-benefits thing because can you really call this a friendship?? (its a family, eventually). Eventually it’s just kind of always been a thing. Sokka checking Zuko first when he comes back to life, counting down the second to make sure Zuko comes back at all. Zuko tells people he’s the only one allowed to kill Sokka, because lets be honest, the first couple of months with rowdy immortals meant killing each other a lot. When Sokka is killed violently in the Civil War, he wakes up half an hour later (slow, slow), to find a field of bodies and Zuko sitting next to him with his dao blades in the dirt, waiting for him. Sokka tries to make a joke, but it just makes Zuko mad, because what if that was the last time. (sokka jokes that he’s young, yet, not like Zuko)

They don’t really talk about it, partially because they don’t live in a world where it’s acceptable. What kind of title fits when you can only use it with 5 other people? But this time, when Zuko was afraid Sokka might not wake up, thirty years after they met, after lifetimes of being alone for both of them?? Sokka has to let Zuko know he loves him. Loves him!!! He’s not just here for the meantime.

[I just went wild one night and decided to throw some more drama at Raihan and also kinda wanted a younger sibling for Eric and George.]

He was the result of a one-night stand that Raihan didn’t know resulted in a baby until Nakhil’s mom was arrested and the young infant was found severely neglected. This all caused quite the scandal for Raihan.

[Also he kinda exists to have Milo and Raihan have something to bond over (aka raising a kid solo along w stress of a scandal) while unintentionally also feeding into Eric’s inferiority and guilt complex]

He does end up growing up in a loving family with his fathers and brothers! May need to develop him more but for now he’s fine as sweet baby

Seine Mandragora

[Also another case of a kid that just snuck up on me. Though I can say it was most likely because I saw Ryuki’s actual eyes in the anime and thought it’d be a cute look on a kid of his]

He was the result of a fling/one-night stand sort of thing between Ryuki and a fan of his. Said fan was either engaged or married at the time. 

Seine ended up growing up not knowing he wasn’t his dad’s son until at some point in his teens he gets caught in an argument with his parents in which oops its revealed. While the argument and drama does get resolved somehow he still gets curious and decides to meet up with his bio dad, Ryuki.

The two end up bonding like how they do in those films where the main dude suddenly becomes a father/father-figure to a troubled kid, but Seine doesn’t stay with him. They do keep in touch though.

[He doesn’t have much role beyond this little side-story and possibly encountering Astra, Hoshi, and Vivi during their Island Challenge. Possibly also ends up accompanying Chase during one of his travels in another region. Also definitely has strong affinity for Dragon-types so could do something there.]

Momo Ryouji

[Really a result of me wanting to create a Lance kid but having trouble with the fact I don’t ship him with anyone and just didn’t feel like going the other routes I did with some other characters for this]

The result of an affair Lance’s late father had with a much younger woman, though the rest of the clan find out only after Momo’s mother dies as well. Lance’s mother knew beforehand, having met her while visiting her late husband’s grave. As much as she wanted to raise the boy herself she was also too old already. The other clan members wanted to get rid of him but Lance steps in to be his guardian.

[While a lot of him is still pretty vague and undecided I’m committed to him existing. Very tempted to have him be a sort of mish mash of Red, Green, Gold, and Silver’s traits, given that Lance also had experience being a mentor/father/older brother figure to those four. Plus like Hoenn I need more kids for Kanto and Johto] 

Audouin Dulcis

[This ship has always been at the back of my mind because of how events go down in my au wherein they do get to meet and interact while in Alola. Read here for me rambling a bit about them. Anyway talking with @pokemon-legends-and-legacies and @pkmnomegaverse finally made me crack and give them a kid]

Fully taking advantage of the “bizarre alien biology/reproduction” trope for this. Specifically the current scenario is Calem just kisses Dulse’s hand and that is enough to acquire a copy of his DNA.

Dulse ends up having Audouin by himself, but single parenthood is the norm in their homeworld anyway and he’s already had experience raising Zossie (more as a younger sister but still) so he doesn’t really see it necessary to try and reconnect with Calem to tell him about their son.

Audouin takes heavily after Dulse in appearance and personality, albeit more expressive.

[Currently still going through the possible routes aka does Calem meet him or not and all the possible interactions with Calem’s other children, but so far the route appealing to me is where they end up meeting and Audouin and the Narcillard kids get along, in contrast to their not-Calem dads who can’t stand each other lmao. In any case, Dulse still mostly remains a single father but Audouin would drag them to Calem’s world spend time with his half siblings and other parent at least every four years after the initial meeting.]

some p!g-drv3 theories (spoilers obvi)

First of all I think people demonize the pg versions wayyy too much because its a good way to be le sexy in like fanfictions. And i get it, villains are hot or whatever. and also hs is a horny age to be. But even the edgiest and horniest of teens aren’t like. that sexual/monstrous. its kind of insane the portrayals people are placing

maybe this could also be like me being older bc when i was early hs i was like yea its fair to place these super mature portrayals on a 18-22 year old they are like adults but young and now im that age and im like woah there pardner. might be an age/maturity thing. 

also like its normal for people to relate to and portray characters their same age in a similar fashion, but when adults write more sexual content about the dg kids i get hella fucking sus

idk where i was going with that first comment i guess its like a preface and in the end i think its important when characters especially teenage characters are morally grey not because they’re mature and dark/brooding but because they are still young and learning. fuck im older than like most of them, but im still young and learning. its good to be in turmoil and confused, especially the drv3 cast. they are more confused than anything.

which i think is a reason why people would join dr because if you are completely loss and in turmoil, it is appealing to be given a purpose in life and amazing talents/abilities. despite the morals of danganronpa, it is a simple reality to be told who you are and what to do

OK ONTO HEADCANONS (not doing all bc i dont have thoughts about all)

first of all i understand changing stories but i think, deep down, you can’t change fundamental personalities/values. so while the backstories might be different i think, in the end, a baseline is always the same

SHUICHI being a Bad Boy is like canon obviously but i dont think he’s as manipulative as people make him out to be. i think he falls in the more the bully role that like. mae borowski or tf2′s scout filled before they grew up. rough background, bad anger issues, lots of emotional turmoil, and the only way he knows how to deal with shit is by committing crimes and beating the shit out of people. and, similar to those characters, drv3 represents an older, more emotionally sober yet equally confused version of himself. the urges are still there as foreshadowed in the dialogue. i think he struggles with guilt, mostly survivors, but there is still a lasting impact of guilt of what he did in his past, even if he can’t remember.

KOKICHI is a child. a piece of shit motherfucker child but a child. I really do think he’s like one of the youngest people in the cast. he reminds me a lot of when my brother doesn’t take his adhd medicine and takes jokes way too far and does mean and cruel things because he thinks its funny and that its just a fun joke, but is hurting people. he desperately wants approval, which is why his leader role is so interesting because in the dr narrative he has the approval he craves and so he is satisfied. still, he does try to impress characters like rantaro and values his opinions a lot, even developing a brotherly relationship in the time they knew each other. this being said, its established kokichi was bullied before, but i dont think he’s like. the wimp people make him out to be. i think he’s more of like the class clown who desperately uses humor to make people like him, and ends up resorting to be the butt of most of his jokes. you don’t just develop a good sense of humor out of a brainwash, and that’s not something you can program in. i think that was a remnant of before, and he’s so good at bullying people and coming up with roasts - i just think that in p!g the roasts were about him.

KAEDE is baby but her p!g personality seriously reminds me of any ~quirky/edgy~ girl in a teen coming of age story who tries to be edgy and cool and act like she doesn’t care but deep down, she really does. if she didn’t have an empathetic personality, she wouldn’t want to end the game. i also think she has that self-identifying QuIrKy personality because its like she lives in her own narrative, practically announcing this story is about her and she is the protagonist. i know i used to self narrate like that and distinguish how i was different when i was like. 15-16. she has a tumblr. 

I really like the theory where KAITO is a make-a-wish kid who was better when he was younger but relapses later in teens. he never used his wish before, so he decides to use it now to be on danganronpa and become the hero he always wanted to be. i also think he might have joined as a way to raise awareness about adolescent healthcare. definitely the type who puts on a “heroic” character to make everyone else feel better about the fact he is literally dying of a terminal illness, and keeps that act up till the end. 

i think KOREKIYO is still a serial killer. i think honestly a reason why he mightve auditioned for danganronpa is because he is a serial killer. maybe his sister found out and he felt so much shame that’s why he auditioned. he probably mentioned why in his interview because duh, tell them im a serial killer and then only reason im coming clean is my sister found out and im ashamed, that is like a guarantee to get on the show.  i LOVE the theory that his sister is still alive, however, and has to watch her brother go insane because they wrote her into the story as the villain. because technically, she brought on this guilt, and is the reason why he auditioned - as a way to cause despair, twist it around so she’s the one to blame for his insanity. also, because its pretty accepted DR members become celebrities, kork’s sister is totally bombarded with paparazzi and is demonized in the media. she might end up writing a tell-all memoir about kork’s actual childhood and personality. quiet kid, thoughtful, interested in anthropology, she never thought he’d hurt a fly. watching her brother go insane probably destroyed her. 

I also think, timeline wise, kork is probably one of the oldest members along with rantaro. tbh i think kork actually graduated hs and went on a gap year doing the whole “hitchhike around the world to discover myself thing” which is where he began killing people. he was getting ready to go to college when his sister found out about what he did. this is when he decided to go on danganronpa instead of university. this would help explain why he knows so much about other cultures/travel/been so many places with so many memories/killed/is knowledgable on a level most other students are not. this would place him at like, 20-21, where everyone else is like 15-18.

ok so there’s two p!g RANTARO, p!g before 53 and p!p!g before 52. i’d like to establish now i think rantaro is the oldest of the characters, seeing as though he was already pretty old to begin with in 52, it takes time between television seasons, and he was in another game. so im placing him like 21-23, similar to yasuhiro in d1 being so much older than everyone else. i do think, in all iterations, rantaro was pretty much raising his sisters, though i don’t think he had twelve like the story (i think that’s an exaggeration, his sisters mean a lot to him, lets make him have a TON and then lose them all and feel GUILTY) rantaro joined the first game, partially to get money for his family and hopefully establish them as celebrities and let them have a comfy lifestyle, even if he doesn’t live...and also to finally ahve some sort of experience without his siblings tagging along. if he’s been raising his sisters all his life, he’s never had like something that’s JUST his. that’s his adventure. 52 is his ULTIMATE adventure. ahaha. mostly for money, kind of dreading it, still a tiny bit excited

ok p!g rantaro between 52 and 53 probably came back broken. he did the signings and appearances, but mostly wanted to spend time with his family and make sure they were set up. i think he knew the whole like few months between seasons he had to go on another show, but he did’t tell his sisters. his family found out when they saw a billboard with his face plastered on it hyping up the return of a fan favorite. yikes!

ok i get it a lot of people hate HIMIKO but i think she’s not nearly as similar as other “useless” characters in other games. its like, pretty clear she’s depressed, and the only thing she’s holding onto with dear life is magic. lack of hygiene, lack of personal care, constantly tired, social interaction exhausts - she has depression, but she’s not an UWU depressed character. so people find her depressive traits (which are some of the most realistic portrayals of mental health in the series) SUPER annoygin. she joined dr because she was completely lost and needed some sort of direction in her life, even if she’ll die for it. the thing is, even with direction, her mental state didn’t change because she wasn’t getting legitimate help. it’s like that one SNL skit that’s like. same sad you from before but in a new place. i also think she knows the magic is not real, because how could she not. i think she’s so adamant that it IS real, less as a way to convince others, and more of a way to convince herself. it’s like really super cruel that team danganronpa took a girl who is desperate for meaning and gave her literally a meaningless, fake talent.

i also kin himiko and find her a comfort character because i feel seen by her, replacing her useless talent of magic with mine of like shitty film making and comedy. i am seen.

related i don’t think she’s nearly as ugly as everyone says she is, i think she’s probably just depressed and takes absolutely no care of her hygiene and sleep and looks like sick and greasy all the time. same queen.

honest to god i think RYOMA’s backstory, tennis and all, is like 100% real and he’s the only one who keeps all of his memories except for the fact this is a tv show. i think he rolled up, a hot fucking mess, and the danganronpa team were like damn. we cannot improve upon this.

hi bb!!! @anntidote 🥺 i hope you dont mind me using this as essentially an update for my followers too adlsfjaljdf. but i love you so so so much <3 your initial message i read when i was feeling so shitty that i cried even more but out of happiness 🥺 im repeating it again, i LOVE YOU AHHHH

but first things first, i’m doing alright! i’m doing my best to take care of myself in the midst of midterms but damn i’ve never expected my life to turn out like this when i first decided to take a break off of tumblr. 

this is a long boi because i think part of me just wants to vent it out. and it’s under the cut. it doesn’t deal with too much?? heavy stuff??? but it does??? idk. i “ran away” from home if that’s any indication LMAO. just be cautious, please.

i went off tumblr for a bit because i think it was causing me too much anxiety to get something written out. i was also going insane with everything when it came to school and, honestly, i still am. i hate school so much because i don't even want to study physics but i feel like its too late and with how my life is, im sticking with it just so i can ensure having a job out of college to gain that financial independence. 

i went into a really bad depressive episode....? or whatever for a while and it took me a while to get out of until i reached out to my oldest brother after isolating myself from friends and family. and things were looking up a bit. and when things were looking up that’s when i got that one suga fic done, the one i’m most proud of. 

but something happened with the current family members at home and im no longer at home for now, im with my sister in the meantime because i literally couldn’t take it. i’ve never been put into a situation where i had such a physical reaction to something so emotional. i felt so sick and terrible and i couldn’t eat or drink water and it felt worse than when i was recovering from my jaw surgery and i hated that time of my life. 

im going back home soon but i don't know what the environment will be like when i do go back home. my family’s a fucking mess and i think if you really want to try understanding it, my brother got married a year ago and my parents didn’t want to go despite all of us thinking our parents would approve of her. the reason why? is because it wasn’t a catholic wedding and my brother and my sister-in-law didn’t want a big wedding, just a small one. and my younger older brother is on the side of my parents and since he’s the one living at home with me, we’ve had a strained relationship despite the fact that he was my biggest role model growing up so i’ve been coming to terms that he’s not the same brother i looked up to anymore. 

as of right now i do have money saved and im planning on moving back to my college campus and living with some friends. and i’ll be job hunting soon as well. 

i know i’ll be okay. 

and i know i have so many people who care about me, maybe even moreso than my family. im not saying my family doesn’t care about me, the toxic ones. i know they do but i am also aware that the way they care about me isn’t healthy for me especially if i want to grow. 

i never expected myself “running away” or doing whatever. it’s kinda crazy to me and i’m so anxious about going back home. it’s been a crazy ride but i hope y’all are doing well 🥺 i hope to be back and writing because i know i stop writing when im in a bad place and any pieces i do write aren’t even ones i’m proud of but i write again when im in a good place and those pieces are always the ones im proud of. 

i hope that one day i can fix my relationship with the younger older brother, and even my parents. i just know that i can’t do that right now and i need to stop thinking so idealistic like i have been the past few years. I've been so stuck as the baby of the family being the glue especially since i’ve been the most consistent presence with my parents and im the one who talks the most to each sibling rather than them to each other. 

anyway one fun thing is im proud to know that if i ever do go off on my own i apparently have the balls to steal my dog with me because i know for a damn fact that my brother wouldn’t take care of her and my parents work out of the house so they definitely won’t.
