hello everyone, i know it has been a long while since i was last here on my account

i just wanted to quickly come here regarding the recent news of astro’s moonbin

now i don’t know much about astro or their members but my social media has been full of videos and pictures of moonbin and it does hurt my heart and brings tears to my eyes to know that someone who was just here bringing joy and smiles to their fans can be gone in an instant. i can’t imagine how their fans must feel and most especially his family and members.

i don’t know what happened exactly to moonbin, but the point of this small message is to let you know that if you’re ever feeling depressed or alone, and feeling like no one will care when you’re gone, please know that i will care. even though we might not know each other personally or at all.

i didn’t know who moonbin was until today, i don’t know much of astro, but my heart hurts and this news brings me so much sadness.

It was the last night of your little friendship-camping trip. You and the boys have said your good nights and went into your separate tents. Jungkook was actually the first to go to bed, he said he was really tired and wanted to sleep more. The boys didn’t question him as the eight of you have had a long, yet fun, day. Starting the morning off with a hike and exploring the area throughout the rest of the day.

It was Namjoon’s idea. You learned that he loved nature and was very eager to talk about different plants and animals you saw along the way.

Anyways, Jungkook used up every ounce of his energy today and knocked out early. 

You stepped into your tent, zipping it close and got ready for bed. It was colder tonight, you kept your fluffy jacket on and slipped into your sleeping bag. Reaching behind for the blanket you threw to the corner of your tent this morning. 

You place the blanket on top of you, twisting and turning to get yourself comfortable. 

When suddenly you felt your tent shake. Your eyes grew wide and you froze. 

As far as you knew, the boys were all in their tents asleep. Or at least attempting to go to sleep. Namjoon did tell you all that there are some animals roaming around at night and to leave them if you ever encounter one. But he didn’t tell you what to do if they ever got near your tent.

You sit up, looking at the front of your tent when you see the zipper slowly going down. You jolt when a head pops in. 

You sigh, frowning at the person smiling at you.

“Jungkook!” You whisper. “You nearly gave me a heart attack.” He laughs as he enters your tent, dragging his sleeping bag in. 

“What are you doing here? I thought you were asleep,” you ask him as he settles himself next to you.

“I had to tell my hyungs that so I can sneak in here without them knowing,” he says, slipping into his sleeping bag and turning to his side to face you. “It’s our last night, I want to wake up next to you before we get back to campus.”

“That’s really cute of you,” you say, reaching out and caressing his cheek. He smiles softly at you, leaning down to kiss your lips. He kisses you softly, reaching out to pull you even closer. 

After a few seconds, you pull away, leaning your forehead on his.

“If the boys wake up before us and sees you leaving my tent, they’re going to think we–”

He stops you with another kiss.

“Don’t worry, I’ll leave before they get up,” he says. “Plus, it’s just an innocent sleepover. I just want to cuddle.” He scoots in closer to you, wrapping his arms around and pulling you into his chest.

“Where are the maknaes?” Jin says, rubbing his arms for warmth as he sits down next to Yoongi. They were heating up some breakfast before you all get packed up to head back to campus. 

“Still asleep,” Yoongi says, warming up his hands with his cup of coffee. Taehyung groggily walks up to Jungkook’s tent, zipping it down and popping his head in.

“He’s not in here,” he says, walking back to the group. “Maybe he went to go to the bathroom or something.”

“What about Yn, is she still asleep?” Hobi says, walking up to your tent. 

“Yn,” he calls, shaking your tent a bit. “Are you in there? We have breakfast, come eat,” he says, before walking away. Jimin passes by him and pulls on the zipper of your tent. He pokes his head in, smirking when he pulls it out and turns to the rest of the boys.

“I found Jungkook,” he says, zipping it back close and running to the group. Jin sighs, shaking his head before getting up to go check what was up.

He pulls the zipper down and goes inside, sitting right behind Jungkook.

“YAH,” he yells suddenly. Instantly waking the two of you up. You wake up in fear while Jungkook brings his head up in confusion. His arms were still around yours and you lift your head up from his chest. 

“What did I say about sharing a tent!” Jin scolds. “You two better not have done anything last night!” You can hear Jimin, Taehyung, and Hobi giggling outside. Namjoon was saying something to Yoongi in the back but you can’t make out what he’s saying. 

“We didn’t do anything, we just slept,” Jungkook says, pulling his arm out from under you and stretching them out in front of him. “Just an innocent sleepover.”

“It better have been,” Jin says, narrowing his eyes at the two of you. “I’m not ready to be an uncle,” he says before getting up and stepping out of your tent.

“Oh but I am!” Jimin and Tae yell. Your eyes widened and suddenly you were wide awake.

“Hyung!” Jungkook says out of embarrassment. He throws the blanket over his head, pulling you close and hiding his head in your chest. You giggle, patting his head. 

“I thought you were going to sneak out before any of them wake up,” you whisper down to him. You pull the blanket down to reveal his head and he brings his head up to look at you. 

“I tried but I couldn’t get my arm out from under you, you were sleeping so peacefully.”

“So it’s my fault,” you say, lifting up an eyebrow. He nods his head, bringing it back down to hide his face from you. You roll your eyes at him, pulling away. 

“Alright, let’s get up now. The boys are waiting.” Jungkook grabs your wrist as you’re about to get out. 

“Hey you still owe me that morning kiss,” he says, puckering his lips. You laugh, leaning towards him and holding his face from both sides of his cheeks.

“Mwuah,” you exaggerate, pressing your lips hard on his. “Come on, let’s go eat breakfast lover boy.”

It was finally the day. The day before winter break starts. Or the day it starts? 

It’s your calculus exam day and basically, when you finish, break will officially start then.

You have been prepping all week for this with Jimin. He has been doing all that he can to make sure you do well with this exam. At first he gave you some practice problems to work with, but he thought it was too easy. He ended up being with you every. single. day. reviewing and working on new things. 

“It’s better to know more than not enough, you know?” He would tell you. 

Needless to say, you’re very thankful for him. You were more than ready to take your final.

And you weren’t surprised when you turned over the exam paper like everyone else was in class.

As you were finishing up the last question, you felt relieved. It wasn’t as bad as you thought, and it may just be because Jimin prepared you so well for it. But of course, you do have a little, teeny, bit of doubt sitting at the bottom of your chest. 

Usually, whenever you’re overly confident about something, it ends up being the exact opposite of what you hoped for. So you were just not going to expect too much.

You know.

Just in case.

You were the first one to stand up to turn in your exam. Your professor looked up at you and smiled as you got closer.

She thanked you for turning in your paper and wished you a great winter break. You bow to her before leaving the room.

Right when you open the door out into the hallway, you’re greeted with not one, but five smiley boys.

You quickly bring up your pointer finger to your lips, shushing them before they can let a single peep out.

“You’re done! I’m so proud of you!” Jungkook whispers, raising his arms to give you a hug. You giggle, about to run into his arms when Jimin pushed him towards the wall to hug you instead.

“How did you think you did? Was it okay? It wasn’t too bad, right?” He says, bringing his head back to look at you. Jungkook clicks his tongue, pushing the shorter one to the opposite side of where he was pushed from.

“Stop hogging my girlfriend,” Jungkook says, pulling you by the arm, making you land into his chest. “I’m sure she got the highest grade in class,” Jungkook says to the boys. “It’s my Yn after all.” He places a kiss on your forehead, then a couple on your cheek, making you giggle.

“Uh, guys,” Taehyung and Hobi said. Jin brings his hand to his lips. 

“What,” you say, turning your head to the boys. 

“Let’s go,” Hobi says, pushing you two aside. “Your professor is glaring at us through the little window.” The six of you then scattered down the hallway, feeling like you were in high school again.

You sat in between your boyfriend and Gaeun at Pied Piper. Everyone of your friends were here, and a few new ones as well. You looked around you, Jin sat across from Gaeun, right in between Yoongi and his best friend Namjoon. Taehyung sat between Gaeun and Hobi with Jimin right across from the two, sitting next to Yoongi. Oh and Hyejin was there too, unfortunately, she was working. She frowns everytime one of the boys calls her over for a refill.

It’s been a really long time since you sat down and ate in a big friend group like this. Of course, the last time being in high school. 

You had more faith in this group though.

You look around at everyone, laughing and talking to one another. Gaeun is finally talking to Taehyung. Jimin glares at the both of them from across. Meanwhile, Yoongi was following Hyejin around with his eyes. 

His face turns red when he catches you staring at him. 

“Hey,” you whisper to Jungkook, nudging his arm. Yoongi was now avoiding your eyes.

“Hm?” Jungkook says, he lifts up a spoon full of fried rice and shoves it into your mouth.

“Mm! Oh my gosh,” you say, putting your hand in front of your mouth. 

“It’s good, no?” He says, taking in a spoonful as well. You shake your head.

“That was not the reason I was nudging you.” 

“What then?” He asks, turning to you. 

You nod your head over to Yoongi. “I think he likes Hyejin,” you whisper to him. “But don’t tell him I said that.” Jungkook looks over at Yoongi, and then Hyejin, and then back to Yoongi. He nods.

“Yeah, I see it.” He says. 

You look over at Gaeun and Taehyung now.

“And I think these two are going to hit it off also,” you whisper. Jungkook laughs at you.

“Why are you suddenly observing everyone’s potential love life,” he says. 

“Hey they all involved themselves in our relationship,” you rebutted. “It’s fine.”

“Do you have anything you’d like to share with the class,” Hobi says, leaning back to look at you. You laugh, shaking your head.

“Okay, so let’s talk about our trip,” Jimin says. “We’re all done with finals, let’s all just go home and pack now.” Jimin turns around and calls Hyejin over. She rolls her eyes as she walks to the table.

“Don’t invite her, I don’t need her attitude with us on vacation,” Jin says, taking a sip of his drink.

“What do you guys want now,” Hyejin says, standing before the group. Jin motions to her.

“See.”

“Stop being mean to her,” you say. The boys have been calling her over for, not only refills, but teasing her and saying nevermind every time she gets to the table.

“We just want to know if you really won’t be able to come with us on our road trip,” Jimin says. 

“You guys are going to be camping the whole week though right?” Hyejin says, you all nod. “Okay, yeah I won’t be able to. My friends and I are going to Jeju in a few days.” You pout.

“What about you?” Taehyung says, turning to Gaeun. Her eyes grow big.

“Me?” She says. Taehyung nods and she laughs sheepishly. “I don’t know guys, it’s a bit last minute.”

“I told you about it a while ago,” you tell her. 

“Okay, yeah, but I didn’t know I was invited.”

“Well you are. Just come with us,” Taehyung says. “Please.”

“It’s going to be fun,” Hobi says. “And Yn will be there to keep you company.”

“Well we’ll all keep you company,” Jin butts in. “But if you’re really not comfortable joining us, that’s okay.”

“Yeah, no pressure,” you tell her. “We wouldn’t want to push you to do something you’re not comfortable with.”

“Thank you,” Gaeun says. “But yeah, maybe next time? I can maybe plan something for all of us to do too when you guys are back. So all of us can be there.” She says turning to Hyejin.

“I’d like that,” Hyejin says, nodding and smiling at her.

Taehyung pouts, turning to his food.

“Ignore Taehyung,” Jimin says. “He’ll get over it.”

“But you guys will be able to go, right?” Jungkook speaks up, looking at Namjoon and Yoongi. Namjoon nods.

“We’ll be there,” he says. “Thanks again for inviting me.”

“Of course, we’re all friends here,” Jin says. “Expect to be invited to everything.”

“So are we leaving today?” Yoongi asks, looking around. “Because I haven’t packed anything.”

“Yeah I haven’t either,” Hobi laughs. “But yeah, after this, we can all go our separate ways and pack for the trip. Then we can meet at Jin hyungs?”

Jin nods, taking his phone out. “I’ll send my address in the group chat.”

“Oh yeah,” Taehyung says, turning to Hyejin. “Can we have the check?” He asks her. She fakes a smile at him, rolling her eyes again as she walks to get their check.

“This was all so good,” Jimin says, leaning back and looking at all of the empty plates. “Thanks hyung,” he says, turning to Jin. Everyone thanks Jin as well and Jin nods, taking his wallet out.

“Don’t expect this to happen all the time.”

After Pied Piper, you all separated ways so you can pack your things and get ready for your little trip. 

You sigh, looking at your closet, not knowing what to pack. It’ll be really cold right? What if it rains? Should you bring your laptop so you can watch movies when you’re bored? Wait, there won’t be any wifi… Maybe a few books would be good. You groan, throwing yourself onto your bed. You’ve actually never been camping before. 

“Wait, should I have bought a tent?” you say out loud to yourself, sitting up on your elbows. Suddenly, your phone starts to ring. You reach for it, stretching your arm as far as you can to get it.

It’s Jungkook calling to facetime you. 

“Hey,” you say, setting your phone up against your pillow. 

“Why do you look so sad,” Jungkook says. He’s walking around his dorm, picking things up off of the floor and throwing it onto his bed.

“I’m not, I just don’t know what to bring. I’ve been so busy preparing for my final, I forgot to buy things,” you say. 

“Just pack some comfy clothes. Hoodies, coats, sweatshirts, pajamas, socks. Double the amount of underwear, because you never know,” he says. 

You nod, getting up and grabbing the stuff he mentioned. You throw an empty backpack on your bed, filling it up with clothes.

“What stuff did you forget to buy?” He asks you, propping up his phone on his desk.

“A whole tent,” you pout, he laughs at you. “What? I did. I don’t even have a sleeping bag. I’m just going to sleep outside in the cold…”

“I bought us sleeping bags,” he says. 

“You did? When?”

“When you were locked up in your dorm studying with Jimin. I knew you didn’t have time to go shopping so I just bought everything we needed,” he says. He walks off and grabs the two sleeping bags, showing them to you.

“Thank you,” you said. “But the tent–”

“I got one too. You can stay with me, it’s big enough,” he says. You felt your face heating up and you put your hands on your cheeks to hide it. He notices and laughs. “What? You act like we haven’t had a sleepover before. We actually have even slept in the same tent together, it’s not going to be the first time.”

“I know but we’re boyfriend and girlfriend now,” you say, then you tilt your head. “Wait, when did we have a sleepover in a tent?” 

“High school, first day of summer. We slept in a tent in your backyard.” 

“Oh yeah,” you said. “I remember waking up and you were staring straight at me. And so I screamed and slapped your face.” He gave you a tight lipped smile. 

“Yep.”

“I won’t wake up like that anymore I promise,” you say, holding your pinky up.

“Yeah, I’m expecting a kiss first thing,” he says, bringing his pinky up as well. 

“Deal.”

After meeting up at Jin’s, you and the boys squished into Jin’s van. Jimin, Taehyung, and Hobi sat in the back. In that order. Then it was Jungkook, you, and Namjoon. And lastly, Yoongi was in the passenger’s seat while Jin drove. The trunk was full to the brim of everyone’s belongings. 

“I guess it’s a good thing there’s only eight of us in here,” Jungkook says, looking around at everyone. The car seated eight perfectly. “We might’ve had to tie up Gaeun and Hyejin onto the roof if they were able to come.” Jin laughs at this. 

“Maybe not Gaeun, she’s too nice. I wouldn’t do that to her,” Jin says. 

“Where did you get this car anyways hyung,” Jimin says. It was his first time seeing it.

“It’s my dad’s, he lent me it.” Jin answers. “Anyways, we’re only five minutes in, no one has forgotten anything right?” All the boys shake their heads. You sat and thought to yourself, turning to your boyfriend who was sitting next to you.

“You brought your tent right?” you asked him. Jin looks up at you and Jungkook from the rearview mirror.

“Are you two sharing the same tent?” Taehyung says from behind you. He has a big smile on his face. Hobi was looking at you two with the same smile as well. You can feel your face turn red.

“Not going to happen,” Jin says, catching everyone’s attention. “I brought an extra tent just in case. You can take that one.”

“Oh, but—” Jungkook starts.

“No buts,” Jin says. “As the oldest here, I feel that it’s my responsibility to make sure no funny business happens on this trip,” he says, making Jimin and Taehyung giggle. 

“As the second oldest, I agree,” Yoongi says. 

“Everyone knows what happens when a young couple shares one–” Namjoon butts in before you start shaking your head.

“Okay okay I get it,” you blurt out. “I’ll stay in a different tent, please don’t say anything weird about it anymore.” The boys in the backseat start to giggle.

“I didn’t even finish–” Namjoon says before you interrupt again. 

“But I know what you were going to say and I would rather not let you finish.”

“Just be tent neighbors, you’ll survive,” Hobi says.
