Good Omens is, at its core, a story about love. It argues for nurture over nature (see: Adam Young) and we know that despite our favorite angel and demon's origins, they tried to avert the apocalypse - and succeeded - because their love for Earth exceeded any inherent loyalty they may have had to their respective "sides."

Right now, The Metatron thinks he's won. He's separated Crowley and Aziraphale, and he's got Crowley's safety as the ultimate bargaining chip to keep Aziraphale in line. But there's one thing both heaven and hell have failed to take into account. And that's that they love each other.

Heaven has literally already underestimated the power of their love in a real and tangible way, when they performed the 25 Lazarii miracle together. Heaven didn't even CONSIDER that it could have come from a source other than their LITERAL supreme archangel. And we can't be sure, but it's highly unlikely that just any old angel and demon pair would be able to accomplish a miracle of the same magnitude.

We may not know what the future holds for them, but they stopped the world ending once already, and Aziraphale and Crowley have proven across 6000 years that their love is powerful enough to overcome. It's not over until the Nightingale sings again.

The original goal was to try a pure black and white contrast piece.#Which I very much failed at doing. Not quite ready for that! However what this turned into is something I like a lot!#Different but in a way that really pushed me as an artist. A little less simple; a little more proportional.#I was also recently thinking about LWJ's grieving that we only catch glimpses of.#LWJ grieved his first love for 13 years. His love that was never reciprocated.#He chose to dedicate his heart to that mourning and most painfully of all - he did so knowing there was no end to that grief.#Wei Wuxian comes back to life in MDZS but that is an exception. Not the expectation.#He was dead. Not missing. Not 'maybe in hiding'. He was dead and his spirit unreachable.#Jiang Cheng went forwards with denial but LWJ takes that grief on. He copes by continuing to carry the weight with him.#Let me be clear. Neither are healthy approaches. It is a way to cope but it does not mean that is healing or healthy.#Grief is loved transformed but it is also about endurance and letting go. Grief can change you. You can also change your grief.#It isn't a good or evil thing to experience. It is just an experience.

“blood and cheese killing jaehaerys was an accident in the show” is one of those things that is correct on a surface level but when you consider it more i think it’s obvious that Daemon knew damn well that no matter how violent and cruel they were willing to be two lifelong flea bottom residents (one gold cloak and one ratcatcher) acting out of desperation for a life-changing amount of money probably couldn’t take a prince of the realm who has had proper nutrition his whole life and had training with the sword since childhood in a fight. which is why he pointed out to them that they were going to struggle to take aemond in a fight. and emphasized that this was their one crack at the red keep.

and he knew what emphasizing that information as well as waving fuck-off life changing money in their faces would push them to do once they got in the castle, that maybe they wouldn’t want to find aemond at all. which is why when they asked “what do we do if we can’t find aemond” he just smirked at them. lord flea bottom does in fact know how to manipulate people with their own poverty into doing his dirty work or make him feel good he is very familiar with this
